MY CAR IS PART OF TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL. DEALER WIL NOT REPAIR OR PROVIDE LOANER VEHICLE. MY SAFETY AND MY FAMILY'S SAFETY IS AT SERIOUS RISK. THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE. I TRIED SELLING THE CAR BUT WAS OFFERED RIDICULOUSLY LOW VALUE DUE TO RECALL. SO THEY WON'T FIX IT AND FURTHER WILL PENALIZE ME FINANCIALLY WHEN TRYING TO TRADE IT. I WANT MY CAR FIXED NOW OR A LOANER VEHICLE PROVIDED
I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE ON 02/15/2013 IT ONLY HAVE 10,000 MILES ON IT. THEN AS SOON AS IT HIT 68,500 MILES AND WENT OUT OF WARRANTY. I HAD JUST HAD IT SERVICED FOR THE LAST TIME UNDER WARRANTY ON 6/21/2019 AT 67,996 MILES. THE TIMING CHAIN SNAPPED AND BENT ALL THE VALVES. I HAD TO REBUILD THE ENGINE. WHICH COASTED A FORTUNE. I SAW THAT THEIR WERE A BUNCH OF CLASS ACTION SUITES GOING ON AGAINST VOLKSWAGEN FOR SIMILAR ISSUE BUT WAS DEALING WITH A FAMILY CRISIS THAT ENDED POORLY AND WENT INTO A STATE OF DEPRESSION FROM THE DEATH OF MULTIPLE FAMILY MEMBERS BACK TO BACK SO I NEVER FOLLOWED UP ON IT. NOW MY CAR IS AT 80,000 MILES AND SEEMS TO BE EXPERIENCING ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS AS WELL AS PROBLEMS WITH THE CD PLAYER IT PROGRESSED AND NOW ALL DISK SPACES SAY ERROR AND I CANT PLAY CDS. WHEN I COULD GET IT WORKING IT WAS FINE UNTIL TURNING OFF THE CAR THEN OPENING THE DOOR I HEARD NOISES FROM THE PLAYER WHEN STARTING THE CAR IT SAYS ERROR IN ALL THE DISK SPACES AND HALF THE TIME WONT EVEN LET ME LOAD THE DISK. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. THIS CAR IS MY BIGGEST REGRET OF MY LIFE. ITS A NIGHT MARE THERE HAVE BEEN MORE ISSUES BUT THESE ARE THE BIGGEST AND MOST RECENT ISSUES.

SAFETY RECALL 69M9 LETTER RECEIVED 5/16/16, WAS TOLD STILL NO PARTS 6/6/16, WAS TOLD STILL NO PARTS 11/11/16. I THINK 10 MONTHS IS TO LONG.
RECEIVED AIRBAG RECALL NOTICE FROM VW. CALLED LOCAL DEALER WAS REFERRED TO VW AMERICA. VW IS DOING NOTHING FOR CUSTOMERS AS NHTSA HAS NOT ISSUED A DO NOT DRIVE ORDER. HOW MANY DEATHS WILL IT TAKE TO FORCE VW INTO DOING WHAT IS RIGHT FOR CONSUMERS OR FOR NHTSA TO ISSUE A DO NOT DRIVE ORDER?. IF MY WIFE DRIVES HER CAR, AND IS INJURED, I WILL BE HOLDING VW AND THE NHTSA RESPONSIBLE.

TAKATA RECALL. I CONTACTED VW TODAY AND THEY HAVE REFUSED TO REMOVE MY VEHICLE FROM SERVICE AND PROVIDE A RENTAL OR LOANER VEHICLE UNTIL MY CAR IS REPAIRED AND SAFE TO DRIVE. HONDA HAS PROVIDED LOANER VEHICLES. WHAT MAKES VW ANY DIFFERENT. AS OUR PRIMARY MODE OF TRANSPORT, THIS VW SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO BE REMOVED FROM SERVICE BY THE US GOVERNMENT. THIS CAR IS A POTENTIAL DEATH TRAP TO MY FAMILY!!

TAKATA RECALL - EVEN THOUGH VW PUBLISHED PUBLIC NOTICE OF THIS AIR BAG RECALL ON APRIL 12, 2016, WE STILL HAVEN'T BEEN NOTIFIED OF A SCHEDULED REPLACEMENT. WE SHOULD BE ON A PRIORITY LISTING SINCE WE LIVE IN A SUB-TROPICAL CLIMATE (SC) AND OUR VEHICLE IS AMONG THE OLDER INSTALLATIONS (2012). WE HAVE NEVER BEEN CONTACTED BY VW.

I CALLED FINDLAY VW IN HENDERSON NV TO MAKE APPT TO HAVE AIRBAG REPLACED. THEY SAID VW DOES NOT "HAVE A REMEDY" AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN THE AIR BAG CAN BE REPLACED. IT IS COMMON KNOWLEDGE VW IS DRAGGING THEIR FEET IN REPLACING THESE TAKATA AIRBAGS. I WANT TO SELL THIS CAR SINCE I ONLY BOUGHT IT IN 9/2015. WHERE CAN I GET THE AIRBAG REPLACED? I HAVE A THREE YEAR PLATINUM EXTENDED WARRANTY THRU THAT COVERS THE AIRBAGS. I DO NOT WANT TO DRIVE THE CAR BECAUSE OF THE DANGER. I HAVE READ WHERE OTHER MANUFACTURERS AND REPLACING THE AIRBAGS AT A GOOD STEADY PACE EXCEPT FOR VW, WHICH DOESN'T SEEM TO BE REPLACING ANY. WHAT GIVES? WHO CAN I SEEK RECOURSE FROM?

TAKATA RECALL. RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE APRIL 2016. ALMOST ONE YEAR LATER THE VW MANUFACTURER STILL HAS NOT TAKEN ACTION ON THIS KNOWN RECALL FAULT THAT HAS CAUSED FATALITIES. THIS DELAY IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE AND PLACES MY FAMILY AT RISK.

APRIL 1016 RECEIVED A RACALL NOTICE REGARDING 69M9 TAKATA SDI DRIVER FRONTAL AIRBAG. CALLED MANY TIMES, NO PARTS. CALLED TODAY, ONE YER LATER, NO PARTS. HAS VOLKSWAGEN DEFAULTED ON THEIR PROMISE TO REPLACE THIS FAULTY PART. I KNOW THEY HAVE CHALLENGED THE RECALL, BUT I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT THEY WOULD COMPLY. VW REFUSED TO SUPPLY A REPLACEMENT CAR. KNOW THAT IN TESTS THIS PARTICULAR AIR BAG FAILED.

ON MARCH 18, 2016 I WAS DRIVING MY CAR AND IT BEGAN TO SHAKE AND SHUTTER AS IF I HAD A FLAT TIRE. IT WOULD ALSO NOT ACCELERATE. FORTUNATELY I WAS ABLE TO PULL ONTO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY AND CHECK FOR A FLAT. I DID NOT HAVE A FLAT. I HAD MY CAR TOWED TO THE DEALER AND THEY DETERMINED THAT ONE OF THE FOUR FUEL INJECTORS WAS FAULTY. THEY INFORMED ME THAT VOLKSWAGEN WAS HAVING ISSUES WITH FUEL INJECTORS AND THAT IT WAS GOING TO BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY EVEN THOUGH MY CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. I ASKED THEM TO REPLACE ALL FOUR OF THE FUEL INJECTORS SINCE THEY WERE HAVING ISSUES WITH THEM, BUT THEY WOULD NOT DO SO. THE DEALER ONLY REPLACED ONE OF THE FUEL INJECTORS. I CONTACTED VOLKSWAGEN CUSTOMER CARE ON MARCH 21, 2016 AND I WAS TOLD THAT VW HAD ISSUED A WARRANTY EXTENSION ON FUEL INJECTORS AND THEY WERE NOW COVERED FOR 10 YEARS/120,000 MILES. I ASKED IF THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO REPLACE THE THREE ORIGINAL FUEL INJECTORS, SINCE I AM NOW CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF MY CAR. THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD NOT DO THAT SINCE THEY WERE OPERATING PROPERLY. I POINTED OUT THAT IT WOULD BE SAFER TO BE PROACTIVE AND REPLACE THE THREE ORIGINAL FUEL INJECTORS SINCE THEY WERE INSTALLED AT THE SAME TIME AS THE ONE THAT WAS REPLACED AND COULD VERY WELL FAIL IN THE FUTURE. VW TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD NOT DO SO. I AM THEREFORE CONTACTING YOU TO SEE IF YOU COULD INTERVENE ON MY BEHALF AND HAVE VW REPLACE THE THREE ORIGINAL FUEL INJECTORS. I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO GET THE FREDERICKSBURG VW DEALERSHIP LOCATED AT 5208 JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY, FREDERICKSBURG, VA TO REPLACE THE AIRBAG. I HAVE SPOKEN TO THEM ON A NUMBER OF OCCASIONS AND HAVE SENT EMAILS TO OTHERS WITHIN VW BUT HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO GET VW TO REPLACE MY AIRBAG.

TAKATA RECALL. I LEASED THIS VEHICLE AND THEN PURCHASED IT FROM THE DEALER. HE SOLD IT TO ME AFTER THE AIRBAG ISSUES WERE KNOWN AND DID NOT ADVISE ME OF THAT BEFORE PURCHASE. ALSO I HAVE BEEN GIVEN NO DATE ON WHICH THE DEADLY AIRBAGS WILL BE FIXED. I WAS NOTIFIED IN FEBRUARY 2016. I AM AFRAID MY CAR WILL BE HIT AND THE AIRBAGS WILL KILL ME. I BOUGHT A USED 2012 EOS IN SEPTEMBER OF 2015. SINCE OWNING THE CAR, I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE ALL 4 IGNITION COILS TWICE, IN LESS THAN A YEAR OF OWNING THIS CAR. THE FIRST TIME HAPPENED 3 WEEKS AFTER I BOUGHT THE CAR. THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, THEN FAILS TO ACCELERATE. IT DOES NOT TRANSITION FROM THE LOWER GEARS TO THE HIGHER GEARS SMOOTHLY AND I AM CONSTANTLY IN FEAR OF GETTING STRANDED.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 28,000.

HERE IS MY STORY... TRANSMISSION WILL GO INTO NEUTRAL STATE WHILE DRIVING. FINALLY FAILED ON 2/2013. MECHATRON UNIT REPLACED. PROBLEM CONTINUED. THEY BLAMED THIRD PARTY REAR VIEW CAMERA WHICH I DEACTIVATED. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK IN ON MARCH 12, 2103 AT WHICH TIME THEY REPLACED THE SHIFTER MECHANISM. TOLD ME EVERY THING OK. I KEPT HAVING INTERMITTENT ISSUES. AFTER CAR GOING INTO NEUTRAL STATE IN MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC I TOOK CARE BACK IN, AUGUST 27, 2013. THEY TOLD ME THEY FOUND NO FAULTS AND CAR WAS RUNNING ACCORDING TO FACTORY SPECIFICATIONS AND THEY COULD NOT DO ANYTHING. AT WHICH TIME I STARTED CARRYING A VIDEO CAMERA IN THE CAR. IT FAILED A FEW TIMES BUT I WAS NOT ABLE TO RECORD BE CAUSE BY THE TIME I GOT CAMERA READY CAR WENT BACK TO NORMAL OPERATION. ON 1/27/14 IT FAILED LONG ENOUGH FOR ME TO RECORD THE EVENT (I HAVE A RECORDING). I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC AND TRANSMISSION WENT INTO A NEUTRAL STATE. I TOOK IT TO DEAL WHO RAN DIAGNOSTICS AND FOUND NO FAULTS. AFTER WATCHING VIDEO SERVICE MANAGER CALLED VW WHO TOLD THEM TO RUN A SOFTWARE UPDATE. I ASKED TO MEET WITH FACTORY REPRESENTATIVE AND THEY COULD NOT GIVE ME A DATE AS TO WHEN HE IS AVAILABLE. ON 1/31/14 I OPENED CASE # 14008852 WITH VW ADVOCACY GROUP 800-822-8987. THEY HAVE BEEN PRETTY USELESS. AS I EXPLAINED THAT I FEEL UNSAFE DRIVING VEHICLE THEY SAID IT WAS REPAIRED, BUT CANNOT GUARANTEE SAFETY. THEY ALSO SAID THEY DID NOT KNOW WHEN THE FACTORY REP, BILL MANSON WILL BE AVAILABLE TO MEET WITH ME. I ASKED FOR A LOANER UNTIL SUCH TIME AND THEY COULD NOT PROVIDE A LOANER. THEY TOLD ME I HAVE TO PICK UP VEHICLE AND RETURN THE LOANER THAT I CURRENTLY HAVE. I PLAN TO DO THIS TOMORROW BUT HONESTLY I WILL PROBABLY GET RID OF THE VEHICLE ASAP.
