Driver side door unlocked unprompted. It happened when I was turning at low speed into a parking garage. No force was applied to the door.
I am writing to report two concerning safety issues with my vehicle: Repeated Door Clicking During Car Wash: On multiple occasions while driving through an automatic car wash, I have noticed that the car doors repeatedly click, as if attempting to unlock or open. This erratic behavior occurs despite no input from the driver or passengers, raising concerns about the vehicle’s electrical system and its reliability under normal operating conditions. Speedometer Malfunction: More critically, the instrument panel, including the speedometer, has gone completely black while driving. The panel remains non-functional for 5-10 minutes before rebooting on its own, leaving me unable to see my speed or other critical driving information during this period. This issue poses a significant risk to my safety as well as the safety of others on the road. Both issues are unpredictable and have occurred multiple times, making the vehicle unsafe under certain conditions. I kindly request your assistance in investigating these problems to ensure that no further safety hazards arise.
While driving on highway, the driver side door opened with no user input. This happened twice. Once before the handle water ingress recall, and another incidence after the first recall was fixed. Apparently, it did not address problem. The door continues to pop open while the car is moving at high speed unexpected.
Despite multiple recalls, VW is unable to address door handle problem where doors sporadically will not open from inside or outside. I have gone to the dealership multiple times to report the problem and they are not able to address. This is a real concern in case of an accident where passengers would not be able to get out of the car. Dealer is
