THE IGNITION SWITCH FAILED WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, AS A RESULT THE VEHICLE STALLED AND HAD TO BE TOWED, PLEASE PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. *NLM *TS
WHILE DRIVING THE ENGINE MISFIRED AND DECELERATED. CONSUMER COULD NOT GET CAR TO TRAVEL OVER 40MPH. DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE IGNITION COIL FAILED. INFORMED CONSUMER THAT MANUFACTURER IS AWARE OF DEFECT BUT WILL NOT REPLACE COMPONENT UNTIL FAILS. PH *TS
WHILE DRIVING THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WOULD INTERMITTENTLY COME ON CAUSING A DISTRACTION TO THE CONSUMER. DEALER NOTIFIED. PH
CONSUMER STATED THE IGNITION COIL CONSTANTLY FAILED WHILE DRIVING, WHICH RESULTED IN NO ACCELERATION BEYOND 2ND GEAR. PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED 3 TIMES WITHIN LAST 3 MONTHS.
PASSENGER SIDE REAR SEAT LATCH IS BROKEN. "UNLOCKED" INDICATOR DOES NOT POP UP, AND THE LATCH WILL NOT HOLD THE SEAT BACK TO THE ANCHOR. DEALER REPLACED "COVER" TO FIX THE PROBLEM. *NLM
I AM ONE OF THE MANY AUDI OWNERS THAT HAVE EXPERIENCED A PROBLEM RELATING TO THE IGNITION COILS OF MY 2002 A4 QUATTRO. LIKE OTHER DRIVERS, I WAS OPERATING MY VEHICLE ON AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY WHEN MY ENGINE BEGAN TO LOOSE POWER, WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY THE ENTIRE CARE BEGAN VIBRATING VIGOROUSLY. AFTER ONE FLATBED TRIP TO THE LOCAL DEALER, AND I WAS INFORMED OF A MALFUNCTION OF ONE OF THE FOUR IGNITION COILS ON MY CAR WITH A TOTAL OF 12,000 MILES OF USE. THIS PROBLEM WAS NOT NEARLY AS AGGRIVATING AS THE INFORMATION WHICH I HAVE LEARNED FROM THE SERVICE TECH AT TWO SEPARATE DEALERSHIPS AND 3 AUDI ENTHUSIAST WEBSITES: THIS IS A PROBLEM WELL-KNOWN TO AUDI, THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT HAS BEEN OCCURRING WITH FREQUENCY FOR ABOUT A YEAR, THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT AUDI HAS YET TO SUCESSFULLY SOLVE. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY MY DEALER THAT AFTER REPLACING JUST ONE OF THE FOUR COILS PER WARRANTY AGREEMENT, WITH A COIL IDENTICAL TO THE ONE THAT HAS FAILED (A REPLACEMENT IS NOT READY/AVAILABLE) THAT I AM LEFT TO OPERATE MY VEHICLE WITH THE FULL PROSPECT OF FUTURE FAILURE FROM THE OTHER THREE COILS THAT AUDI REFUSES TO REPLACE. THIS SOLUTION STRICKES ME AS ILLOGICAL, UNSAFE AND UNFAIR TO THE CONSUMER. AUDI HAS CERTAINLY PRIDED ITSELF AS A MANUFACTURER OF PREMIUM AUTOMOBILES. THE DECISION TO PROVIDE CONSUMERS SUCH AS MYSELF WITH MINIMAL SERVICE SOLUTIONS, AS WELL AS A FUNDAMENTAL LACK OF INFORMATION IN REGARDS TO THIS APPARENTLY WIDESPREAD PROBLEM IS CONTRADICTORY TO THIS FIRM'S INTENTIONS OF ACQUIRING, RETAINING AND SATISFYING CUSTOMERS.
2002 AUDI A4 1.8 T: EXPERIENCED THREE IGNITION COIL FAILURES WITHIN THE PAST 20 DAYS. WHEN FAILURE OCCURS THE VEHICLE CANNOT BE DRIVEN AND REQUIRES TOWING ON A FLAT BED TRAILER. PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AND INTERNET RESEARCH, SEE AUDIWORLD.COM A4 (B6) FORUM AND SEARCH "COIL PACK" , INDICATES A VIRTUAL CERTAINTY THAT THE COIL PACK WILL FAIL, YET AUDI WILL NOT REPLACE/RECALL UNTIL FAILURE HAS OCCURRED. THIS WILL LEAVE THE VEHICLE AND MOTORIST STRANDED ON THE ROAD SIDE UNTIL TOWED. PRESENT WINTER CONDITIONS OF 20 DEGREES F WITH SNOW POSES AN UNNECESSARY RISK. AN IMMEDIATE RECALL IS NECESSARY TO REPLACE DEFECTIVE COIL PACKS BEFORE FAILURE ON THE HIGHWAY.
CONSUMER STATED THAT THE COIL PACKS FAILED, CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THE PARTS WERE ON BACK ORDER.*JB
VEHICLE LOSS POWER AND STARTED SHAKING. DEALER NOTIFIED. PLEASE PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP 8 TIMES FOR MISFIRING OF THE FUEL INJECTORS. NOT ONE ATTEMPT HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL AT SOLVING THE PROBLEM. ON ONE OCCASION, THE CAR ACCELERATED BY ITSELF. ON ANOTHER, THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO RUN AFTER THE KEY WAS REMOVED FROM THE CAR. ON ANOTHER, THE CAR REPROGRAMMED THE KEYS AND WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO START THE CAR. ON TWO OCCASIONS THE CAR'S ENGINE STOPPED WHILE PUTTING THE CAR INTO REVERSE. AUDI IN MIAMI, FL AND IN ALEXANDRIA, VA HAVE FAILED TO FIND THE CAUSE OF THESE PROBLEMS AND HAVE "NEVER HEARD" OF SUCH COMPLAINTS. DESPITE THESE PROBLEMS, AUDI CONSUMER RELATIONS REFUSES TO REPLACE THE CAR AND THEREFORE, I AM FORCED TO FILE UNDER FLORIDA LEMON LAW. THIS IS A DISGRACE ON BEHALF OF AUDI AND BECAUSE OF THESE PROBLEMS AND AUDI ON THE CORPORATE LEVEL, I WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER AUDI NOR RECOMMEND IT TO ANYBODY ELSE. *JB
CONSUMER STATES THAT WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED AND NO WARNING THE VEHICLE WILL STALL AND IT WILL BE HARD FOR THE CONSUMER TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE. DEALER NOTIFIED. TS
EMAIL FM ANNE SIGNORILE (NY) RE DEFECTIVE #4 COIL WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO STALL. THE CONSUMER REQUESTED THAT ALL THE COILS BE REPLACED BUT THE DEALER REFUSED. *TS *NLM
RIGHT SIDE MIRROR AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTS WHEN CAR IS IN REVERSE, HOWEVER WHEN YOU GO BACK IN FIRST THE MIRROR DOES NOT RETURN TO THE ORIGINAL SPOT. AUDI HAS SAID THAT THIS IS A SOFTWARE PROBLEM. IT HAS BEEN SEVERAL MONTHS NOW AND THEY HAVE NOT FIXED THE ISSUE. IT IS A DANGEROUS ISSUE BECAUSE EVERYTIME YOU NEED THAT MIRROR IT IS POINTED IN THE WRONG DIRECTION (USUALLY INTO THE SKY). IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS AND GENERAL DRIVING, THE MIRROR IS NEVER IN THE CORRECT SPOT. I HAVE HAD SOME VERY CLOSE CALLS BECAUSE IN ORDER TO SEE IN THAT VEHICLE YOU NEED THAT RIGHT SIDE MIRROR. I RECENTLY HAD TO SLAM ON THE BRAKES AT 65MPH ON THE FREEWAY BECAUSE A GUY CUT ME OFF, I COULD HAVE EASILY MOVED INTO THE OTHER LANE BUT BECAUSE THE MIRROR WAS POINTED IN THE WRONG DIRECTION, THIS WAS NOT AN OPTION. WHEN I SLAMMED THE BRAKES THE BUY BEHIND ME SLAMMED HIS AND SLIDE RIGHT BY ME NARROWLY BASHING MY BACK BUMPER. THE WHOLE THING COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF THE MIRROR WORKED. THERE ARE OTHERS WITH THE SAME CAR THAT HAVE THE SAME COMPLAINT. AUDI AGAIN HAS SAID IT IS A SOFTWARE ISSUE HOWEVER THEY HAVE NOT FIXED IT. IT IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND AN ACCIDENT(S) IS WAITING TO HAPPEN. THANKS
GAS GAUGE FAILED. ENGINE DIED ON FREEWAY DUE TO FUEL TANK BEING EMPTY; AT THE TIME, GAUGE SHOWED TANK WAS 1/2 FULL. DEALER REPLACED INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, BUT PROBLEM REMAINS.
REPEATED ENGINE COIL MALFUNCTION
I AM ADDING TO A PREVIOUS COMPLAINT [ODI 768857 - REF 704187] REPORTING 2 GOODYEAR SIDE WALL TIRE FAILURES. I HAVE NOW EXPERIENCED A 3RD SIDE WALL BUBBLE AND FAILURE. AGAIN THERE IS NO RIM DAMAGE AND PROPER TIRE PRESSURES HAVE BEEN MAINTAINED. THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN OPERATED OFF ROAD. I'M CAUGHT BETWEEN AUDI WHICH TAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE TIRES ON THEIR CARS AND GOODYEAR. I HAVE NEVER HAD TIRE FAILURES ON ANY OF THE OTHER 5 CARS WE OWN AND CONTINUE TO BE SURE THAT THIS MUST BE A COMMON PROBLEM CAUSED BY WEAK SIDE WALLS.
CAR ENGINE WAS MISFIRING WHILE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASHED. THERE WAS A SEVERE LACK OF POWER. DEALER DIAGNOSED PROBLEM TO BE FAULTY IGNITION COIL PACK.
MY 2002 AUDI A4 1.8T HAD A COIL PACK FAILURE ON 12/18/02. THE FAILURE CAUSED THE CAR TO SPUTTER LOSE SPEED AND BECOME UNPREDICTABLE. IT OCCURED AT A SPEED OF 30 MPH FORCING ME TO TAKE EVASIVE DRIVING ACTION. UPON FURTHER RESEARCH, I FOUND OUT THAT THIS FAILURE IS OCCURING ON A VERY LARGE SCALE WITH DOZENS AND DOZENS OF 1.8T ENGINES (BOTH VW AND AUDI) HAVING THIS PROBLEM. VW/AUDI HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL FOR THESE PARTS AND IS ONLY REPLACING THE FAILED PART. THERE ARE COIL PACKS IN EACH 1.8T. VW/AUDI IS NOT ACTING ON THIS PROBLEM LEAVING THOUSANDS OF 1.8T OWNERS WITH DEFECTIVE PARTS IN THEIR CARS. WHEN A COIL PACK FAILS IT IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST POWER WHILE DRIVING DUE TO A DEFECTIVE IGNITION COIL PACK. THE PROBLEM IS WIDESPREAD WITH THIS VECHICLE (AUDI A4) AND IS HAPPENING TO MANY OWNERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. THE MANUFACTURER, AUDI, IS AWARE OF THE DEFECT AND THE FACT THAT FAILURES ARE OCCURRING IN A VERY HIGH PERCENTAGE OF ITS CARS, BUT HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL. INSTEAD IT IS REPLACING THE DEFECTIVE PART ONLY AFTER IT FAILS. MORE IMPORTANTLY, IT IS NOT REPLACING THE OTHER DEFECTIVE COIL PACKS IN THE CARS THAT HAVE NOT YET FAILED, THEREBY LEAVING THEM VULNERABLE TO FUTURE FAILURES. THE CARS SHOULD BE RECALLED SO THAT ALL COIL PACKS ARE REPALCED. THIS IS A PUBLIC SAFETY ISSUE.

I HAVE A 2002 AUDI A4 QUATTRO 3.0{6 CYLINDER} WITH ITS SECOND COILPACK PROBLEM. THERE IS ONE COILPACK PER CYLINDER.THE FIRST ONE FAILED AT 8750 MILES THE SECOND ONE AT 9250 MILES. AUDI NEEDS TO RECALL THE VEHICLE AND REPLACE ALL THE COILPACKS. CURRENTLY THEY WILL ONLY REPLACE THE FAILED PART.
FAILED IGNITION COIL PACK ON 2002 AUDI A4. 3.0 ENGINE LEAVING THE CAR INOPERABLE. FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND, THIS IS A WORLDWIDE MAJOR FAILURE MODE WITH VW/AUDI ONLY REPLACING THE FAILED COIL PACK, THE OTHER COIL PACKS WILL FAIL IN TIME. SOME OWNERS HAVE HAD UP TO 5 COIL PACKS FAIL AT VARIOUS TIMES LEAVING THEM AND THEIR FAMILIES STRANDED IN UNDESIRABLE CONDITIONS AND PLACES. MANY PEOPLE DON'T CARRY CELL PHONES ENHANCING THE PROBLEMS. A TOTAL RECALL IS MANDATORY IN THIS CASE, IT'S NOT GOING TO GET BETTER! TS
AUDI SERVICE PERSONNEL NOTIFIED ME OF A CAM SEAL LEAK DURING THE 10,000 MILE SERVICING. THEY ATTEMPTED TO FIX THE PROBLEM ONCE, BUT IT STILL LEAKED. I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE BACK AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT A SPECIAL TOOL FROM GERMANY IS NEEDED TO FIX THE PART. SO FAR THE CAR HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP OVER TWO MONTHS - AND STILL WAITING FOR THE TOOL. AMAZING, HUH?
2ND IGNITION COIL PACK FAILED. DEALER SAYS PART MAY TAKE UP TO 45 DAYS TO REPLACE
THE CAR'S BASIC PROBLEM IS A BADLY DESIGNED COIL PACK (IGNITION MODULE). THERE IS A REDESIGNED ONE BUT THE DEALER WILL ONLY REPLACE THE ONE THAT FAILS. LEAVING THREE OTHERS (IN A 4CYL CAR) TO FAIL AT A LATER DATE. THESE FAILURES HAPPEN MOSTLY AT ENGINE STARTUP, BUT HAS ALSO HAPPENED TO ME AT THE WORST POSSIBLE TIME ALSO. LIKE DRIVING IN A TUNNEL WHERE THERE IS NO SHOULDER TO PULL OFF TO. THE ENGINE JUST CUTS OFF LIKE SOMEONE REACHED OVER AND TURNED THE KEY...LUCKILY WHEN THIS HAPPENS AT SPEED IN A MANUAL TRANS. CAR, I JUST POPPED THE ENGINE BACK ON. DT

AN ACCIDENT OCCURED IN MY 2002 AUDI A4 WITH THE NEW-FOR-2002 CVT TRANSMISSION (CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION) RESULTING FROM A CONDITION THAT I BELIEVE IS DEFECTIVE RELATING TO THE FUNCTION OF THE TRANSMISSION. AFTER DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR FROM A DEAD STOP, THERE IS A LONG LAG BETWEEN BEFORE THE VEHICLE BEGINS TO MOVE. AS A RESULT, IN ORDER TO ACCELERATE QUICKLY IN TRAFFIC, ONE MUST PRESS THE ACCELERATOR ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR IN ADVANCE. THIS CAN CAUSE SERIOUS PROBLEMS IF ONE MUST QUICKLY STOP, RIGHT AFTER STARTING. IN THIS CASE, MY FIANCE ACCIDENTALLY HIT THE REAR OF THE CAR IN FRONT OF HER AT A LIGHT WHEN THEY QUICKLY STOPPED JUST AFTER STARTING.
CONSUMER STATED THAT IGNITION COIL FAILED WHILE DRIVING, WHICH CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO STALL ON THE PARKWAY. CONSUMER FEELS THE VEHICLE IS DANGEROUS. MANUFACTURER AWARE OF DEFECTIVE PART. CONSUMER MADE NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS WITH DEALERSHIP HOWEVER IGNITION COIL PACKS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. TS *TT

WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE THE ENGINE LIGHT WOULD INTERMITTENTLY ILLUMINATE AND HEAVY VIBRATION FORCED CONSUMER TO PULL OFF THE ROAD, DUE TO A FAULTY ENGINE COIL. THE DEALER CHANGED THE FAULTY COIL. ONE MONTH LATER, THE REPLACED COIL FAILED. DEALER REFUSED RESPONSIBILITY. *JG. PH
TODAY WAS THE SECOND FAILURE OF THE IGNITION COILS, FIRST OCCURED 7/25/02 W/10500 MILES ON THE CAR, IGNITION COILS 1 & 4 WERE REPLACED. UNKNOWN WHICH COILS HAVE FAILED THIS TIME. IT'S THANKSGIVING DAY, WON'T KNOW UNTIL TOMORROW HOW MANY COILS HAVE FAILED. IN AUGUST I REPORTED THE CAR RUNNING ROUGH AND WANTED THE COILS CHECKED, DEALER STATED THAT WITHOUT A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR HARD FAILURE THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. TODAY IS THE SECOND FAILURE IN 5 MONTHS AND I HAVEN'T HAD THE CAR A FULL YEAR YET. THESE FAILURES ARE A SAFETY HAZARD, I WAS FORTUNATE TO BE CLOSE TO HOME AND DRIVING AT A SLOW SPEED WHEN EACH OCCURRED. DURING TODAY'S FAILURE THE CAR COULD BARELY GO 10MPH TO GET ME HOME. THIS APPEARS TO BE A VERY WELL KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE AUDI 2002 1.8T. DT
AFTER SPEAKING TO THE DEALER WHO WAS PROMPT AND HELPFUL, AND AFTER INVESTIGATING ON SOME AUDI FORUMS ON THE INTERNET, IT SEEMS THESE COILS ARE VERY FAILURE PRONE. THEY CAN FAIL ANYWHERE AT ANY TIME, AND AT LOW MILEAGE. IN MY CASE IT WASN'T A MATTER OF SAFTEY, BUT OF DEPENDABILITY. THIS IS A $36,000 "NEAR LUXURY" CAR THAT REALLY CAN'T BE TRUSTED, AND MAY FAIL ANYWHERE AT ANY TIME. THE DEALER INSTALLED A NEW COIL, BUT IT IS THE SAME PART NUMBER AND MANUFACTURER. (BOSCH) WOULD BE NICE IF A NEW (REVISED) PART WAS ISSUED, AND ALL 6 COILS WERE REPLACED. THANK YOU. DT

APPARENTLY AUDI HAS EXPERIENCED MANY FAILURES OF THE IGNITION COIL PACK. WE HAVE TWO 2002 A4'S IN THE HOUSEHOLD AND BOTH HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS FAILURE. AUDI WILL ONLY REPLACE THE FAILED UNIT. DT

IGNITION COIL #1 FAILED, CAUSING DRASTIC LOSS OF POWER ON HIGHWAY. WAS AT RISK OF BEING HIT BY FASTER MOVING CARS. LUCKILY WAS NEAR EXIT AND MANAGED TO AVOID ANY INCIDENTS. DT
THE CAR STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF AN EXPRESS WAY, PRETTY DANGEROUS SITUATION. THIS IS A KNOW PROBLEM FOR 2002 AUDI A4'S (COIL PACK FAILURE). IT IS RIDICULOUS THAT I HAD TO DRIVE THE CAR KNOWING THAT SOME DAY I'LL GET STRANDED ON THE ROAD. EVEN AFTER THE INCIDENT, AUDI CLAIMS THAT THEY WILL JUST REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE ONE UNTIL I GET ANOTHER FAILURE INSTEAD OF REPLACING ALL 4 OF THEM. SHOULD I JUST WAIT FOR ANOTHER DANGEROUS SITUATION? WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE HESITATES, SHAKES EXCESSIVELY AND WILL NOT ACCELERATE. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER ADMIT THAT THE IGNITION COIL IS DEFECTIVE, BUT WILL NOT REPLACE IT UNTIL THE COMPONENT FAILS. THE COIL HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE. *TS *NLM
ON OCTOBER 28, 2002 THE 'AIR BAG' LIGHT CAME ON. THE CAR WAS SCHEDULED FOR THE SHOP ON OCTOBER 31, 2002. THE MORNING OF THAT DATE AS THE CAR WAS STARTED THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING VERY ROUGH. I PROCEEDED TO TAKE THE CAR TO THE SHOP. ONCE I ARRIVED AT THE SHOP I INFORMED THE SERVICE MANAGER OF THE NEW PROBLEM OF THE ENGINE RUNNING ROUGH. AT THIS TIME HE INFORMED ME THAT ONE OF THE IGNITION COILS WAS FAULTY. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP SINCE. DT
THE PROBLEM I AM EXPERIENCING IS A LAG IN THROTTLE RESPONSE. WHEN THE ACCELERATOR IS DEPRESSED THERE IS A MOMENT WHERE NOTHING HAPPENS THEN, A SECOND LATER THE CAR ACCELERATES VERY RAPIDLY. THIS ESPECIALLY NOTICEABLE WHEN DRIVING IN STOP-AND-GO TRAFFIC WHERE YOUR FOOT GOES FROM THE BRAKE TO THE THROTTLE FREQUENTLY. MY WIFE ALMOST HAD AN ACCIDENT DUE TO THIS DELAY; SHE WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN ACROSS THE ONCOMING LANE, WHEN AN OPENING APPEARED, SHE DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR AND FOR A MOMENT NOTHING HAPPENED, THEN THE CAR FINALLY GOES AND PUTS HER RIGHT INTO THE PATH OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC. HAD THE ONCOMING CAR NOT BRAKED, SHE FEELS SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN HIT. IT IS FOR THIS REASON THAT I BELIEVE THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND NOT A CONVENIENCE ISSUE. I CONTACTED AUDI VIA E-MAIL TO LET THEM KNOW ABOUT THIS AND THEY INSTRUCTED ME TO BRING THE CAR TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSIC AND ROAD TEST WHICH I DID. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE CAR IS "OPERATING WITHIN MANUFACTURER'S SPECS'' AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR. WHEN I FOLLOWED UP WITH AUDI THEY CONCURRED WITH THE DEALER AND AGAIN STATED THAT THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE. I LOGGED-ON TO AN AUDI ALLROAD FORUM(AUDIWORLD.COM) AND MANY OTHER ALLROAD OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEMS, AND GETTING THE SAME RESULTS WHEN THEY CONTACT AUDI, WHICH IS NO AKNOWLEDGEMENT OF THE PROBLEM. SOME OWNERS REPORT TO HAVE HAD CLOSE CALLS. MANY OWNERS FEEL IT IS THE DRIVE BY WIRE ACCELERATOR WHILE OTHERS FEEL IT IS THE TRANSMISSION. EITHER WAY IT IS DANGEROUS AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED BY AUDI . I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH CLOSE TO 100 OTHER 2002 AUDI OWNERS THROUGH THE AUDIWORLD WEBSITE AND THE COIL PACK PROBLEM IS A SERIOUS ISSUE. THE COIL PACKS HAVE BEEN FAILING ON AT LEAST 10% OF THE 2002 VEHICLES AND AUDI SAYS THEY ARE ALL ISOLATED CASES. WHEN THEY FAIL THE CAR BARELY RUNS AND CAN CREATE ALOT OF PERSONAL SAFETY ISSUES. I WANT THEM TO RECALL THE VEHICLES AND REPLACE THE REMAINING COIL PACKS. PLEASE HELP.*AK
