TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 AUDI A4. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 10 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STALLED AS THE CHECK ENGINE AND BATTERY WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE FAILED AND THE TIMING CHAIN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 126,000.
TAKATA RECALL: AFTER RECEIVING NOTICE OF THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT AIRBAG RECALL BY FINDING OUT MYSELF ON THE NHTSA SITE ON FEB 2, 2017, THEN RECEIVED FORMAL NOTICE IN MARCH. NOTHING ELSE HAS HAPPENED SINCE AND NO INFORMATION HAS COME SINCE ABOUT WHEN, IF EVER, A REPLACEMENT AIRBAG WILL BE AVAILABLE. IT HAS BEEN VERY INCONVENIENT TO LOSE THAT SEAT SINCE I WON'T ALLOW ANYONE TO SIT IN IT UNTIL IT IS REPAIRED. THE COMMUNICATION AND MORE IMPORTANT, ACTION, NEEDS TO BE STEPPED UP SIGNIFICANTLY. I HAVE FOLLOWED UP WITH THE DEALER SINCE BUT THEY HAVE NO INDICATION OF ANY TIME FRAME FOR THIS TO BE FIXED.

TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED A NOTICE IN JANUARY OF THE PASSENGER AIRBAG RECALL. THERE STILL IS NO REMEDY AVAILABLE FOR MY CAR. I HAVE NEEDED TO RENT CARS ON OCCASIONS WHEN I NEEDED THE FRONT SEAT AS THE ONLY ADVICE I'VE BEEN GIVEN IS DON'T USE THE FRONT SEAT. IT'S BE 11 MONTHS NOW. CAN I GET SOMETHING DONE ABOUT THIS?
THE TURBO AND EXHAUST SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONS CONSISTENTLY. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN SERVICED MULTIPLE TIMES AT THE DEALER AND NEVER CONFIRMED OR FIXED THE PROBLEM. NOW THERE IS A BURNING SMOKE SMELL INSIDE THE CAR WHEN IT RUNS WHICH CAUSES HEADACHES. VEHICLE REQUIRES 1 QUART OF MOTOR OIL EACH FILL UP.

TAKATA RECALL: I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE 12 MONTHS AGO CONCERNING A RECALL ON MY TAKATA AIRBAG. ALTHOUGH I'VE CONTACTED THE LOCAL AUDI DEALER REPEATEDLY OVER THE LAST 12 MONTHS THEY CONTINUE TO SAY THAT THERE IS NO "SOLUTION" FOR THIS RECALL YET. I'M NERVOUS EVERY TIME I GET INTO MY CAR AND I BELIEVE THAT PRESSURE NEEDS TO BE BROUGHT TO BEAR AGAINST AUDI TO IMPLEMENT A TIMELY SOLUTION.

TAKATA RECALL THE RECALL WAS ANNOUNCED 1/11/17. AUDI NOTIFIED ME IN MARCH 2017 THAT THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE TO MAKE THE REPAIR. SINCE THAT TIME, I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY FURTHER COMMUNICATION FROM AUDI ON THE REPAIR TIMELINE. NOW THAT WE ARE IN THE SUMMER MONTHS, I FEEL UNSAFE IN MY VEHICLE.
TAKATA RECALL IT HAS BEEN NEARLY 6 MONTHS SINCE I WAS NOTIFIED OF A RECALL OF THE AIRBAGS IN THIS CAR. THE DEALER CLAIMS THEY DON'T HAVE THE REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS. IT IS UNSAFE TO HAVE A FRONT SEAT PASSENGER. I WOULD LIKE THIS REPAIRED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

WHY IS MY AUDI DEALER NOT ABLE TO.I ASKED FOR A LOANER CAR WHILE MY AUDI IS SITTING IN THE GARAGE AND THEY REFUSED. IS THIS RECALL REQUIRED OR NOT? IS THIS A DANGEROUS CONDITION OR NOT?

THE RECALL NOTICE STATED A "RECALL REPAIR IS NOT AVAILABLE." I JUST CHECKED THE AUDI RECALL SITE FOR AN UPDATE AND THERE IS NO CHANGE. I ALSO CALLED AUDI'S SUPPORT AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHATSOEVER WHEN MY AIRBAG WILL BE REPLACED. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING THIS CAR FOR OVER 6 MONTHS WITH A DANGEROUS AIRBAG AND I STILL DO NOT HAVE ANY IDEA AS TO WHEN IT WILL BE REPAIRED! *TR

TAKATA RECALL WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR PROBABLY A YEAR OR MORE FOR THE PARTS TO REPLACE THIS DANGEROUS AIRBAG. AUDI STILL HAS NOT MADE THEM AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL WE NEED TO KNOW WHEN WE CAN HAVE AIR BAGS REPLACED AND WHEN WE CAN TAKE THIS IN TO FIX ASAP WE DO NOT WANT TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT AND FIND OUT ITS FAULTY AT THAT TIME WHEN YOU KNOW IT IS NOW
SO I OPENED UP THE SUNROOF, TOOK A LONG WIRE AND STARTED POKING. I ALSO REMOVED THE WHEEL ARCH AND CLEANED OUT THE OUTLET. I POURED A BUCKET OF WATER THRU AND IT CAME OUT OF THE BOTTOM NICELY. ALL WELL I THOUGHT. TODAY IT RAINED FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE THEN, AND I WAS VERY UNPLEASANTLY SURPRISED TO FEEL WATERDROPS DRIPPING FROM THE HOOD OPENING GRIP NEXT TO MY FEET. SINCE MY CAR IS ALWAYS OUTSIDE AND NOT COVERED AGAINST THE RAIN, I HAD TO DEAL WITH IT RIGHT AWAY. I STRIPPED THE A PILLAR COVER AND SAW IT HAD SERIOUS WATER MARKS. OBVIOUSLY THE WATER HAD BEEN DRIPPING SLOWLY FOR MANY MONTHS ALREADY. IT JUST NEVER GOT WORSE ENOUGH AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURE THE GREEN HOSE IS THE DRAIN, AND IT HAS A BROWN STRIPE DOWN THE BOTTOM FROM LONG TIME DRIPPING. THE LEAK SEEMED TO COME FROM ALL THE WAY UP TO WHERE IT IS CONNECTED TO THE SUNROOF DRAIN PIPE. I PULLED IT LOOSE AND THE HOSE IS FITTED TO THE PIPE WITH SOFT PLASTIC CONNECTOR. THE CONNECTOR SLIDES OVER THE PIPE, BUT THE HOSE IS GLUED TO IT. NOW THE GLUE IS EXACTLY WHAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM! THE GLUE HAD GOTTEN BRITTLE AND HAD CRACKED, IT SEEMS LIKE AUDI USED THE WRONG GLUE FOR THIS HOSE. I CLEANED IT , GLUED IT BACK TOGETHER AND POURED ANOTHER BUCKET OF WATER THRU, BUT NOW WHILE THE LINING WAS STILL OPEN AND THE HOSE FULLY EXPOSED. NO DRIP AT ALL! I MUST SAY, THIS PROBLEM WAS A VERY NASTY ONE, IT REALLY BUGGED ME VERY MUCH TO GET WATER IN THE CAR, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE IT CAN DO SO MUCH DAMAGE. ATTACHED IS A PICTURE WHERE YOU SEE THE ROOF AIRBAG WHICH WAS TOTALLY WET ALSO. A PICTURE WHERE YOU SEE THE GREEN HOSE WITH THE DRIP MARKS, AND A PICTURE WHICH SHOWS THE LEFT SIDE OF THE DASHBOARD WITH THE FUSE BOX EXPOSED, IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY, YOU SEE THE STEEL IS RUSTED, SINCE THE SUNROOF WATER DRAINING IS A VERY WIDE SPREAD Q7 PROBLEM I WOULD ADVISE ALL OWNERS TO CHECK THE FUSE BOX.
TAKATA RECALL I AM JUST CONCERNED ABOUT MY FAMILY'S SAFETY. AUDI SHOULD OFFER A LOANER PROGRAM UNTIL THEY FIND A FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM. AS A CITY DRIVER, THE LIKELIHOOD OF A COLLISION IS FAR HIGHER.

AUDI A4 TRANSMISSIONS HAVE A FAULTY TRASMISSION COMPONENT, WHICH CAUSES THEM TO FAIL. REPAIRS ARE COSTLY, AND ARE NOT A GUARANTEED PERMENANT FIX. DRIVING AROUND IN A VEHICLE (KNOWN TO THE MANUFACTURER) WITH A TRANSIMISSION WAITING TO FAIL IS NOT ONLY EXTREMELY UNSAFE - IT'S JUST BAD BUSINESS. PLEASE HELP INSTITUE A RECALL FOR ALL AUDI VEHICHLES WITH FAULTY CVTS. A LAWSUITE SETTLEMENT WAS ANNOUNCED IN 2013, HOWEVER, THIS ONLY COVERS YEAR MODELS FROM 2002-2006. CLEARLY, THE CVT TRANSIMISSION IS STILL IN PRODUCTION IN AUDI A4S TILL THIS DAY. I DRIVE A 2007 AUDI A4 WITH LESS THAN 100K MILES AND IS LESS THAN 10 YEARS OLD. MY TRANSIMISSION WENT OUT ON ME WHILE TRYING TO REVERSE OUT OF A DRIVEWAY ON TO A HIGHLY POPULATED CITY STREET, WITH A SLIGHT HILL FROM ONCOMMING TRAFFIC - I COULD OF BEEN SLAMMED INTO FROM THE REAR.

TAKATA RECALL. RECEIVED LETTER FROM AUDI OF AMERICA IN APRIL 2016 INDICATING AIRBAG INFLATOR COULD RUPTURE, WHICH MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. "TAKATA RECALL" I RECEIVED A NOTICE 7/2016 AND IMMEDIATELY WENT TO CORAL SPRINGS AUDI AND WAS TOLD THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PART TO REPAIR THIS ISSUE.I HAVE CONTINUED TO CHECK FOR A REMEDY WITH THEM AND AM STILL TOLD THEY CAN NOT FIX WHAT COULD BE A DEADLY SITUATION WITH FAULTY AIRBAGS. IT SCARES ME TO DRIVE MY CAR, I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE RESOLUTION. I DO NOT HAVE ANOTHER VEHICLE AT MY DISPOSAL.
CAR STARTED BLOWING WHITE SMOKE AND OIL CONSUMPTION INCREASED TO 1 QUART PER 500 MILES. DEALERSHIP REPLACED PCV VALVE, WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED UNDER CSC-10043026-6562. HOWEVER, SINCE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT NEVER ILLUMINATED, THE DEALERSHIP AND AUDI REFUSE TO COVER THIS ISSUE UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY, DESPITE THE FACT THAT THE DEFECTIVE PART IS SPECIFICALLY CALLED OUT IN THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE CAMPAIGN.

TAKATA RECALL, OUR PASSENGER AIRBAG RECALL WAS DOCUMENTED MAY 27,2016. WE HAVE BEEN CALLING OUR LOCAL AUDI DEALER, AUDI OF RALEIGH FOR UPDATES EVERY FEW MONTHS AND THEY HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO PROVIDE US WITH ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THE RECALL. WE ARE GOING ON 14 MONTHS UNABLE TO USE THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT OF OUR CAR AND MOST DEALERS ARE NO UNWILLING TO TAKE THE VEHICLE IN TRADE BECAUSE THEY CAN NOT SELL IT. WE CURRENTLY HAVE A CAR THAT IS DIFFICULT TO USE AND CAN NOT BE SOLD.

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. THIS IS MY SON'S CAR AND WE ARE IN ONE OF THE MORE DANGEROUS ZONES ACCORDING TO THE DATA FOR THESE AIR BAGS TO FAIL. I WOULD LIKE SOMETHING DONE ASAP.

TAKATA RECALL-CALLED TO GET MY AIRBAGS REPLACED AND WAS TOLD I WOULD BE CONTACTED WHEN NEW AIRBAGS BECAME AVAILABLE. IT HAS TAKEN MORE THAN A YEAR AND HAVE NOT HAD MY AIRBAGS REPLACED OR HAVE I BEEN NOTIFIED ON WHEN THAT WOULD BE.
