TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BMW 750LI. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR LOCK WAS DEFECTIVE. THE DRIVER'S DOOR OPENED WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO MOVE ONTO THE ROAD SHOULDER; HOWEVER, THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO SHUT THE DOOR TIGHTLY. THE DEALER ADVISED THAT A DIAGNOSTIC NEEDED TO BE PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 99,000.
ON MY WAY TO WORK THE DOOR DISENGAGED AND OPENED ON ME, VERY SCARY AND DANGEROUS, I FOUND INFO ON RECALL CAMPAIGN 12V-504 SOFT CLOSE AUTOMATIC FUNCTION......CALLED SOME LOCAL DEALERS ABOUT THE ISSUE NOT ONLY DO I RECEIVE VAGUE RUN AROUND REPLIES STATING 1ST THE CAR DOESNT MATCH RECALL THEN AFTER I SHOW THEM THE PAPER ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CAR WAS CALLED IN ALREADY AND FIXED EVEN THO SAME ISSUE IS BACK BUT NOW UH OH WARRENTY IS OUT CANT DO ANYTHING, THIS IS PATHETIC THEY LOOK FOR ANY REASON TO COP OUT AND REFUSE TO EVEN INSPECT WITH OUT CHARGING $200 ! ITS UNNECESSARY TO HAVE TO PAY $200 TO TELL ME THE DOOR IS BROKEN I CAN SEE THAT. I COULD HAVE GOTTEN SERIOUSLY HURT OR WORSE DIED DRIVING THE CAR LIKE THIS AND BMWS ENTHUSIASTIC ATTEMPTS TO LOOK FOR ANY EXCUSE TO REFUSE REPAIR IS SICKENING. MY CAR DRIVERS DOOR DOESNT CLOSE I TELL BMW DEALER MY CAR MATCHS YEAR MAKE MODEL AND DEFECT SPECIFICALLY MATCHING RECALL, IT SAYS IN RECALL NOT TO DRIVE LIKE THAT ! , SERVICE ADVISOR PERSON LITTERALLY LOOKED AT COMPUTER LOOKED BACK AT ME AND SAID THE COMPUTER SAYS YOUR CAR GOT INSPECTED FOR RECALL ALREADY, BUT ODDLY COULDNT TELL ME WHERE IT WAS FIXED WHICH DOOR MALFUNCTIONED OR HOW IT WAS REPAIRED. NO RECIEPT RE PRINT NO HELPFUL INFO AT ALL JUST IDK ITLL BE $200 TO INSPECT AND WE CLOSE EARLY TODAY THEN SAID HAVE A NICE DAY GOOD LUCK, THEY LET US DRIVE OFF IN THAT NASTY CONDITION COULDNT SAY WHO WHAT WHERE THE CAR WAS ALREADY SEEN FOR RECALL JUST THAT I WAS SCREWED AND CAR 1ST DIDNT MATCH RECALL THEN CHANGED TO WAS CALLED IN FOR RECALL BUT NO ASSISTANCE FOR WHEN SYPMTON RE APPEARED. JUST A "DID YOU MAKE APPOINMENT?" HAVE YOU PURCHASED HERE BEFORE?" "WE ARE BUSY TODAY AND CLOSING SOON" HOW CONVEINT FOR BMW, NOT SO MUCH FOR ME AND MY FAMILY THO, NO CONCERN FOR CUSTOMER SAFETY AT ALL.......
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BMW 750LI. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR OPENED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND CLOSED THE DOOR. THE FAILURE RECURRED THREE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 93,000.
RECEIVED THIS FAULT - '"DRIVER RESTRAINT SYSTEM FAULT." BELT TENSIONER OR BELT FORCE LIMITER FAULT.' THE MAT SEAT SENSOR SEEMS TO HAVE PREMATURELY WORN OUT. JUST LIKE THE PASSENGER SIDE MAT THAT WAS RECALLED

IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AN ERROR MESSAGE 'FAULT IN PASSENGER RESTRAINT SYSTEM EFFECTING THE AIR BAG BELT TENSIONER OR SEAT BELT FORCE LIMITED" DISPLAYED ACROSS THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 93,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BMW 750LI. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR SWUNG OPEN WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL IN AN EFFORT TO STOP HIS CHILD FROM FALLING OUT OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. NEILO BMW OF SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE THE VEHICLE DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL; THEREFORE, THE CONTACT WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR COST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.
TRANSMISSION BEGAN TO LOOSE POWER ,SHIFTING BY ITS SELF , WITH A MESSAGE STATING ' "TRANSMISSION DEFAULT MALFUNCTION" CAR CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP ON FREEWAY ALMOST THROWING ME THROUGH WINDSHIELD.TAKE CAR TO CLOSEST DEALER IMMEDIATELY ,ALSO WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK. 2) MALFUNCTION MESSAGE REGARDING DRIVER SEAT BELT WITH ILLUMINATED ICON. 3) DRIVER DOOR OPENS BY ITS SELF MY DAUGHTER ALMOST FELL OUT OF THE CAR AT 60MPH I HAD TO GET TRANSMISSION FIXED TWICE AT AN AUTHERIZED SHOP COSTING OVER $ 3000 AND IS STILL ACTING UP
SYSTEM AIRBAG FAILURE LIGHT CAME ON INSIDE THE CAR WHEN I WAS DRIVING AND REMAINED ON. MESSAGE STATED THAT I NEEDED TO TAKE IT TO THE NEAREST BMW DEALERSHIP. I TOOK THE CAR TO MY MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM BEING THE FRONT SEAT OCCUPANT MAT AND WAS TOLD BY MY MECHANIC THAT THIS HAS BEEN A BIG PROBLEM WITH BMW AND CERTAIN MODELS OF THERE CARS AND I SHOULD CHECK INTO A POSSIBLE RECALL IN THIS.
WHEN FUELING GASOLINE INTO TANK THE STATION NOZZEL SHUTS OFF AFRTER ADDING 1 -2 GALLONS OF FUEL .YOU DO NOT KNOW WHEN YOUR TANK GET FULL. GASOLINE AT TIMES SPASHES BACK CAUSING TO WIPE OFF GASOLINE FROM CAR AND CLOTHES. THEY SAY ITS THE CHARCOL CANISTER TO REPLACE AT OWNERS COST IF U HAVE NO WARRANTY. IIT TAKES UP TO 10 MINUTES TO FILL UP THE GAS TANK WHEN LOW ON FUEL.

WHILE INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE DOOR COULD NOT BE CLOSED AND SECURED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE CHECK VALVE OF THE BRAKE VACUUM PUMP LEAKED OIL INTO THE BRAKE BOOSTER. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V446000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
I WAS COMMUNTING TO WORK WHEN THE DOOR POPPED OPEN. AT FIRST I HEARD THE DASH CHIME AND QUCIKLY NOTICED THE SOUND OF WIND WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I LOOKED TO MY LEFT AND THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR WAS CRACKED OPEN WHILE I WAS DRIVING 65 MILES AN HOUR. I REACTED QUICKLY BUT WAS IN COMPLETE WAS SHOCK . I ATTEMPTED TO QUICKLY SHUT THE DOOR WHILE DRIVING BUT THE LOCK WOULD NOT CATCH. ALL I COULD DO WAS HOLD THE DOOR CLOSE AS TIGHTLY AS I COULD UNTIL I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER. WHEN I STOPPED I MADE THREE ATTEMPTS TO CLOSE THE DOOR COMPLETEY, ON THE FORTH TRY IT CLOSED. I CONTINUED TO DRIVE ON TO WORK AND ABOUT TWENTY MINUTES LATER IT HAPPENED AGAIN BUT I WAS JUST UPTHE STREET FROM MY JOB. I WENT TO WORK AND CALLED MY HUSBAND CRYING AND THE NEAREST BMW SERVICE DEPT. I DID NOT CALL ANYONE WHILE COMMUNTING AFTER THE INCIDENT DUE TO THE FACT THAT I WAS IN FEAR OF THE DOOR OPENING AGAIN AND MY HANDS WERE NOT FREE. I CALLED THE DEALER AND THE REP RESEARCHED FOR ANY RECALLS IN REGARDS IN WHICH HE COULD NOT LOCATE ANY ON THE DOOR HANDLE. HE INFORMED ME THAT IT WAS SOMETHING WITH THE DOOR MODULE AND I NEEDED TO UPDATE THE PROGRAMMING FOR THE DOOR. I WAS TOTALLY CONFUSED. BUT IT COST ME $700 FOR ONE DOOR LOCK REPLACEMENT. AFTER THE INCIDENT I RECALLED THAT A COUPLE TIMES PREVOUSLY TO THE INCIDENT THAT THE SOFT CLOSE WOULD SOMETIMES NOT WORK ON THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR AND TO THIS DATE I AM UNSURE IF THE TWO PROBLEMS CORRELATED TO MY $700 FIX.

AS I WAS ARRIVING TO PARK MY BMW I APPLIED THE BRAKES TO PUT IT INTO PARK BUT THE BRAKES FAILED, IN RESULT THE CAR DROVE THREW THE BUILDING. WHEN THE REAR WHEELS REACHED THE CURBSIDE/SIDEWALK, IT STOPPED THE CAR, CAUSING THE BUILDING TO GET DAMAGE. AND I GOT A TICKET FOR MALFUNCTION OF BRAKE BUT IT IS NOT MY FAULT FOR THE MALFUNCTION OF THE BRAKES BECAUSE I JUST BOUGHT THE CAR 3 MONTHS AGO FROM A CARMAX DEALER. AND AT THAT TIME THE MILEAGE WAS 46185. WHEN I WAS CHECKING ONLINE, AND THERE IS A LOT OF COMPLAINS ABOUT THE BRAKES IN BMW. IN ONE ARTICLE IT STATED QUOTE:"A CHECK VALVE OF THE BRAKE VACUUM PUMP MAY LEAK A SMALL AMOUNT OF LUBRICATING OIL.? IT CONTINUED, ?OVER TIME THIS COULD RESULT IN THE CONTAMINATION OF THE BRAKE BOOSTER. IF THIS OCCURRED, THE POWER-ASSIST BRAKING COULD BE AFFECTED.? END QUOTE. *TR
MY NAME IS [XXX]. I WAS TURNING OFF OF FRONTAGE RD ONTO NORTHSIDE DR SLOWLY AND MY LEFT FRONT TIRE FELL RIGHT INTO A HUGE POTHOLE WHICH BLEW MY TIRE COMPLETELY OUT. THIS IS MY 3RD TIME HAVING TO GET A BRAND NEW TIRE DUE TO THE STREETS OF JACKSON,MS. THE 1ST TWO TIMES I WAS UPSET BUT, AS USUAL, DID NOT BE A BABY ABOUT IT BUT WENT ON TO GET MY CAR FIXED ON MY OWN. THIS TIME, I AM EXTREMELY UPSET, AND AM VERY TIRED OF SPENDING MONEY ON MY CAR WHEN THE ONLY DAMAGE COMES FROM THIS CITY. ALSO, MY CAR MADE A SMALL SQUEAKING NOISE AFTERWARDS AND A SEATBELT WARNING IS ON IN MY DASHBOARD. PARTS FOR MY CAR ARE VERY EXPENSIVE. THE TIRE ALONE IS ENOUGH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE CRANK SHAFT, PRESSURE REGULATOR AND THE LOWER TIME CASE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
MY DRIVER SIDE DOOR WILL NOT CLOSE. BOTH COMFORT ACCESS AND SOFT CLOSE IS NOT WORKING.
DRIVERS SIDE FRONT DOOR FAILED TO CLOSE OR LATCH. THE DOOR HAD TO BE 'ZIP TIED' TO REAR DRIVER SIDE DOOR TO GET THE VEHICLE HOME. I TOOK THE VEHICLE INTO THE DEALERSHIP FOR DIAGNOSIS AND WAS TOLD THAT THE ISSUE WAS DUE TO A FAULTY DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR FOR MY VEHICLE WHICH HAS COMFORT ACCESS AND SOFT CLOSE DOORS. I FIND THIS TO BE A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE IF THE ACTUATOR FAILS THAT THE DOOR CANNOT BE CLOSED AT ALL.
JUST HAD TO PAID OVER $900 DOLLARS TO HAVE MY FRONTS PASSENGER AIR BAG SEAT OCCUPANCY SENSOR MAT REPLACED. I SEE THAT THERE WAS A RECALLED ISSUED FOR THESE ITEM ON NOVEMBER 2013 RECALL CAMPAIGN NUMBER 13V-564. I WAS TOLD BY BMW OF DALLAS THAT MY VIN NUMBER WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL. I FIND IT A AN ODD COINCIDENT THAT MY VEHICLE AIR BAG LIGHT WAS ON AND BMW TECHNICIANS DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM AS A FAULTY SENSOR MAT BUT I'M TOLD THAT MY VEHICLE MANUFACTURE DATE DOES NOT FALL WITHIN THE DATES THE FAULTY MAT WAS USED. I THINK BMW SHOULD LOOK INTO THE POSSIBILITY THAT MORE VIN NUMBERS MIGHT HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY A FAULTY MAT AND MORE VIN NUMBERS SHOULD BE PART OF THE RECALL. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VACUUM LINES WERE REPLACED BUT WAITING ON THE MANUFACTURER'S APPROVAL FOR THE BRAKE BOOSTER AND MASTER CYLINDER REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000. UPDATED 12/2/14*CN THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS PARTIALLY REPAIRED UNDER RECALL IN 2010. NEAR MISS A COUPLE TIMES..........WHENEVER SITTING STILL FOR A PERIOD OF TIME THEN GO TO TAKE OFF THERE IS A BIG BLUISH GRAY SMOKE CLOUD. AT THE SAME TIME THE CAR WILL TAKE OFF THEN DO A JERKY STOP AND GO AGAIN. I'VE ALMOST BEEN REAR ENDED MANY OF TIMES. IF SITTING SOMEWHERE FOR LONGER THEN 2-3 MINUTES THE CAR IS SURROUNDED BY THIS SMOKE. ITS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH BMW. TO ME THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE ALONG WITH ENVIRONMENTAL AND HEALTH ISSUE. *TR
DRIVERS SIDE FRONT AIRBAG SEAT MAT SENSOR. FAULT FOR DRIVER SIDE SEAT MAT SENSOR. THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT MAT SENSOR HAS BEEN REPLACED UNDER RECALL FOR THE VEHICLE. THE OIL COOLER ADAPTER PLATE IS DEFECTIVE THE O RING IS DEFECTIVE AND LEAKS OIL ALL OVER EVERYTHING INCLUDING WIRES. IF YOUR CAR DOESN'T HAVE AN EXTERNAL OIL COOLER, THE PLATE, WITH THE O RING SEAL WILL LEAK OIL. THE OTHER SIDE HAS TWO HOLES THAT CAN BE MACHINED FOR THE EXTERNAL OIL COOLER, BUT IF YOUR CAR DOES NOT HAVE THAT FEATURE YOU WILL HAVE OIL LEAKS. COMMON OIL LEAK ON THE V8 N62 AND N62TU ENGINES THAT WOULD BE IN THE E65 7 SERIES AND THE X5 E53. THIS IS THE BEARING BLOCK WHERE THE ALTERNATOR MOUNTS TO. THERE IS A GASKET THAT DEVELOPS A BAD LEAK BECAUSE OF THE SEAL FAILING. THE SEAL HAS NO USE TO THE ENGINE IT IS JUST THERE JUST IN CASE IF YOU GET THE OIL COOLING OPTION AND IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO GET THE OPTION YOUR CAR WILL LEAK OIL BECAUSE THE SEAL IS NOT SUBSTANTIAL AND THE OIL HAS NO WHERE TO GO, SO IT LEAKS OUT OF THE GASKET.
