IN ADDITION, THE DOOR OPEN WAS DISPLAYED ACROSS THE MESSAGE BOARD AND THE SOFT CLOSE DOOR OPTION FUNCTIONED INTERMITTENTLY. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V504000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES). TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BMW 750I. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PASSENGER FRONT DOOR OPENED INADVERTENTLY WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 12V504000 (LATCHES/ LOCKS/ LINKAGES). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 55,900.
BMW HAS A RECALL ON THE AIR BAG FOR THIS YEAR AND MODEL BUT THEY REFUSE TO HONOR THE RECALL SAYING THAT ONLY CERTAIN VIN# WERE COVERED. HOW CAN THAT BE WHEN MINE HAS FAILED, SHOULD I NOT BE COVERED SINCE I HAVE A SENSOR THAT FAILED. *TR
WHILE DRIVING AT 25-30MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED LOSING ALL POWER INCLUDING THE POWER STEERING AND HAVING TO COAST INTO THE BREAKDOWN LANE. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IN 3 MONTHS. AFTER SITTING FOR 15 MINUTES AND 5-10 "NO STARTS", THE VEHICLE FINALLY STARTED AND DROVE NORMALLY. THE DEALERSHIP IS UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE EVENT. THERE IS A CURRENT POWER SUPPLY RECALL ON SEVERAL BMW MODELS DEMONSTRATING THE SAME SYMPTOMS. BMW STATES THAT THE POWER SUPPLY ON THE 750LI IS DIFFERENT FROM THOSE VEHICLES UNDER THE RECALL. THIS MODEL SHOULD ALSO BE INCLUDED AS I HAVE READ SEVERAL SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ON THE BMW FORUMS. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SAFETY HAZARD IN WHICH MANY BMW 7 SERIES OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BMW 750LI. THE CONTACT STATED WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH WHEN THE BRAKES MALFUNCTIONED, MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE DID NOT STOP AS NORMAL WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND NO SOLUTION WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000.
AIR BAG OCCUPANCY SENSOR MAT FAULT ILLUMINATED UPON INITIAL START OF THE VEHICLE IN THE MORNING. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER THE NEXT DAY AND WAS DIAGNOSED AS HAVING A DEFECTIVE PASSENGER OCCUPANCY MAT. HOWEVER, THE CURRENT RECALL DOES NOT COVER IT EVEN THOUGH ITS A 2007 BECAUSE THE BUILD DATE WAS FEB 2007 AND THE RECALL COVERS BUILD DATES OF 2005 TO SEPT. 2006. THIS SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER THE SAME RECALL. *TR
MY PASSENGER AIR BAGS ARE INOPERABLE IN MY VEHICLE. IT WAS THIS WAY WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR. IT WAS REPORTED TO ME THE VEHICLE WAS UNDER RECALL FOR THE SITUATION BUT WHEN I HAD THE CAR TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY INFORMED ME MY PARTICULAR VEHICLE WASN'T UNDER RECALL. MY QUESTION IS WHY IS MY CAR ISN'T ONE OF THE VEHICLES UNDER RECALL. I HAD THE CAR CHECKED OUT BY A CERTIFIED BMW MECHANIC AND HE STATED IT'S IN THE PASSENGER OCCUPANCY DETECTOR. *TR
WHEN ACCELERATING THE CAR DOES NOT RESPOND AT FIRST, AND THEN WHEN IT DOES FINALLY ACCELERATE IT SWITCHES GEARS SO HARD THE WHOLE CAR LUNGES FORWARD, I TOOK THE CAR INTO THE DEALERSHIP THREE TIMES. EACH TIME THEY SAID THEY NEEDED TO DO SOFTWARE UPGRADE. THIS NEVER FIXED THE PROBLEM. THE CAR STILL CONTINUES TO DO THIS. THE FIRST TIME I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP THE CAR WAS AT 55,000 MILES, MY CAR IS CURRENTLY AT 65,000 MILES. IT IS A REAL SAFETY CONCERN BECAUSE IF YOU PRESS THE PEDAL TO TURN, THERE IS SUCH A DELAY THAT IT MAY NOT BE SAFE TO TURN ANYMORE BUT THE CAR THEN ACCELERATES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BMW 760LI. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE ELECTRONIC GEAR SHIFTER WAS PLACED IN DRIVE, THE GEAR INDEPENDENTLY SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL. ADDITIONALLY, THE GEAR SLIPPED OUT OF PARK AND ERRONEOUSLY INTO REVERSE. THE FAILURE WAS EXPERIENCED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE TRANSMISSION HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 68,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BMW 750LI. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WOULD NOT CLOSE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EQUIPPED WITH THE SOFT CLOSE FEATURE FOR THE DOOR, BUT THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA RECALL CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER:12V504000(LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES). I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE TO A COMPLETE STOP, SHIFTED THE VEHICLE IN "PARK" AND SAW THE "P" LIGHT COME ON THE DASH, AND PROCEEDED TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. BECAUSE I WAS ONLY RETRIEVING MY MAIL FROM THE MAILBOX, I DID NOT TURN THE CAR OFF OR PUT THE PARKING BRAKE ON. AS I EXITED THE CAR, AND TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE STARTED TO MOVE FORWARD EVEN THOUGHT THE "P" WAS LIT ON THE DASH. I IMMEDIATELY GRABBED ONTO THE DOOR AND JUMPED BACK IN THE CAR, AS IT ALMOST HIT ME FROM BEHIND AND PRESSED ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, AND ALL THE WHILE, THE SHIFT INDICATOR WAS LIT IN THE "P" FOR PARK POSITION. SINCE THEN, I HAVE HAD A FEW INSTANCES WHERE THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START AND THE DASH INDICATOR LIGHT READS "TRANSMISSION FAULT DRIVE MODERATELY". IT APPEARS AND THEN GOES AWAY AND DOES NOT RE-APPEAR. MY COMPLAINT IS WITH 2007 BMW 750LI MODEL. THERE IS AN ENERGY PARASITE IN THE VEHICLE'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. IT HAS BEEN NARROWED DOWN/POINTED OUT AS THE "COMFORT ACCESS SYSTEM" BY OTHER OWNERS. THIS COMFORT ACCESS SYSTEM DOES NOT SHUT-DOWN COMPLETELY WHEN PARKED AND DRAINS THE BATTERY. ENERGY DRAIN ALSO OCCURS DURING THE VEHICLE OPERATION AND THE VEHICLE SHUTS DOWN A/C BLOWER FREQUENTLY TO CONSERVE ENERGY. IT REQUIRED ME TO JUMP START THE VEHICLE ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO BMW DEALERS ON THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS AND BESIDES CHANGING THE BATTERY, NOTHING MUCH HAS BEEN ADDRESSED. EVEN AFTER NEW BATTERY, LOSS OF ENERGY STILL PERSISTS. THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS ON THE WEB REGARDING THIS ISSUE. BMW WOULD NOT PROACTIVELY ADDRESS THE ISSUE, UNLESS THE DIAGNOSTICS SYSTEM DIRECTS THEM TO A SPECIFIC AREA/AREAS. MY VEHICLE CURRENTLY IS NOT POINTING TO ANY ERRORS, SO BMW SHRUGS AWAY AND ASKS ME TO LIVE WITH IT. IN THE MEANWHILE, IT IS AN UNRELIABLE AND UNSAFE VEHICLE TO OPERATE. PRESENTLY, THE LOSS OF ENERGY IS RESULTING IN BLOWER OR OTHER ENERGY CONSUMING DEVICE SHUTDOWN, AND REQUIRING A JUMP FOR VEHICLE START UP. IF THIS PHENOMENON GETS WORSE, THE VEHICLE CAN LOOSE POWER COMPLETELY DURING OPERATION AND SHUTDOWN, LEADING TO A VERY UNSAFE CONDITION, ESPECIALLY, ON HIGHWAYS IT CAN LEAD TO FATAL ACCIDENTS. I WOULD LIKE THIS SAFETY ISSUE TO BE ADDRESSED BY NHTSA. I AM AVAILABLE ANYTIME TO PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN REPORTED TO BMW DEALERS AT MT. TROUBLE FILLING GAS TANK, VERY VERY SLOW FILL WITH MULTIPLE OVERFLOW INCLUDING GAS SPILLAGE. GAS ATTENDANT STATED THAT THIS IS A REAL SAFETY HAZARD. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BMW 750I. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PASSENGER FRONT AIR BAG FAILED. THE WARNING LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE MECHANIC TO HAVE A DIAGNOSTIC PERFORMED WHICH LOCATED THE FAILURE AT THE PASSENGER FRONT SEAT SATELLITE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,555 AND THE APPROXIMATE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 103,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A OWNS 2007 BMW 750I. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 10V446000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC: POWER ASSIST: VACUUM). THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE HAD BEEN IN CONTACT WITH THE MANUFACTURER SINCE NOVEMBER 2010 TO HAVE THE VEHICLE REPAIRED UNDER THE RECALL HOWEVER; THE PART NEEDED FOR REPAIRS HAS BEEN UNAVAILABLE SINCE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 35,000.

COULD NOT PUT FUEL IN THE TANK EXCEPT AT A VERY SLOW RATE, THE GAS WILL CLICK OFF CONSTANTLY, VERY FRUSTRATING. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON EVER SINCE. NEVER COULD GET A REASON WHY, WAS ENCOURAGED TO SEE I WASN'T THE ONLY ONE THIS WAS HAPPENING TO. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BMW 750LI. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PASSENGER AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM LIGHT AND AIR BAG LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXTENDED THE WARRANTY FOR THE AIR BAG FAILURES, BUT HIS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DENIED ASSISTANCE WITH THE REPAIR. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 68,000.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BMW 750I. WHILE DRIVING AT 25 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUT OFF WITH NO PRIOR WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP WHERE A PART WAS REPAIRED ON ONE OF THE DOORS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP ON THREE PRIOR OCCASIONS WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE BATTERY HAD DIED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 33,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BMW 750I. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH IN A PARKING LOT AND ATTEMPTING TO APPLY THE BRAKES WHEN THEY FAILED TO RESPOND. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED MOVING AND CRASHED INTO A DITCH AND A TREE. THE CONTACT WAS KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS AND WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL VIA HELICOPTER. HE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH MULTIPLE FRACTURES AND BRAIN HEMORRHAGING. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED MEMORY LOSS AS A RESULT OF THE CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS FOUND 35 TO 40 FEET INTO THE DITCH AND HAD CRASHED APPROXIMATELY 5 MILES FROM THE MAIN ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE INSURANCE COMPANY TOWED THE VEHICLE TO A SERVICE CENTER. A DETAILED POLICE REPORT WAS AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
A HUGE BANG/CLUNK WHICH FEELS LIKE ANOTHER CAR REAR ENDED THE VEHICLE. VERY FREIGHTING THAT CAUSES DRIVER PANIC! THIS HAS OCCURRED MULTIPLE TIME OVER THE PAST YEARS. DEALER REPORTS NOTHING CAN BE FOUND WRONG. *TR
SINCE PURCHASING MY BMW 750LI I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS STARTING W/THE KEYLESS REMOTE WHICH WOULD NOT START THE CAR(PUSH START)/INSERTED. THIS WAS TAKEN TO THE SHOP 4X BEFORE THE PROBLEM WAS SOLVED...2ND THE BATTERY DIED 2X ON A 2007 UNBELIEVABLE, NOW EACH TIME I TURN OFF THE CAR THE BATTERY IS DISCHARGED SO IT MAKES YOU HESITATE TO DRIVE ANYWHERE FAR..THE RIMS CRACKED CAUSING CONTINUOUS LOW TIRE PRESSURE I SPEND MORE TIME @LB BMW ITS UNREAL THEY TREAT YOU UNFAIR SO WITH A DREAMCAR THIS IS TRULY A HORROR!! *TR
HID HEADLIGHTS AND THE AMOUNT OF GLARE PRODUCED NEEDS TO BE REGULATED BY THE GOVERNMENT. I DRIVE A LOT OF NARROW COUNTY 2 LANE RAADS WHERE THERE ARE NO RIGHT SIDE WHITE LINES. I HAVE TO CLOSE MY EYES SOMETIMES WHEN CARS WITH THESE NEW HEADLIGHTS APPROACH. I DRIVE WITH REGULAR HEADLIGHTS AT SAFE SPEEDS AT NIGHT AND HAVE NEVER FELT THE NEED FOR THESE FLAMETHROWER LIGHTS. I'M SURE DRIVERS WITH HID'S LOVE THEM BUT THEY ARE JEOPARDIZING THE SAFETY OF THEMSELVES AND ME. BMW LIGHTS SEEM TO BE THE WORST. THE AMERICAN MADE CARS WITH HID'S SEEM TO BE BETTER. *TR
2007 BMW 750LI MY WIFE USE THIS CAR FOR ROUTING AND NORMAL DRIVE TO SCHOOL AND HOME, NEVER DRIVE TO MOUNTAIN AND ROCKROAD. MORE THAN 6 MONTH ONLY 5000 MILES, THEN TIRE WHEEL CRACK. BECAUSE A CRACK CAUSED THE FLAT, TIRE THAT IS VERY DANGEROUS. THANK GOD SHE DIDN'T DRIVE ON HIGHWAY, SO NOBODY GOT INJURY. RIGHT NOW I DOUBT THE TIRE WHEEL QUALITY, HOW COME ONLY 5000 MILES THE TIRE WHEEL WILL CRACK. THAT IS DEFECT. THE TIRE WHEEL SUPPOSE TO LAST FOR 10 OR 50 THOUSAND MILES INCLUDE IMPACT AND SPEED TEST. WHY IT IS SO WEAK? BMW EVEN DON'T OFFER INFORMATION ON MANUAL BOOK, THEY SAID ONLY ON WEBSITE HAVE THESE TIRE WHEEL INFO. AND ALSO SAID THIS TIRE WHEEL IS VERY EASY BROKEN. BUT CRACK IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY. HOW COME THEY DIDN'T OFFER THIS INFO BEFORE WE SIGN CONTRACT? HOW COME THEY TREAT CUSTOMER LIFE LIKE JOKE? THEY EVEN SAID IF FLAT TIRE YOU STILL CAN RUN 10 MILES WITHOUT LOSE CONTROL. BUT IF LOSE CONTROL, CAN THEY TAKE RESPONSIBILITY? I CAN OFFER MY CRACK TIRE WHEEL AND TIRE TO CHECK, IF NECESSARY. *JB
