TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 BUICK ENCLAVE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED INDEPENDENTLY AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO SWITCH GEARS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WAVE PLATE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 149,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
I BOUGHT THIS 2008 BUICK ENCLAVE A YEAR AND A HALF AGO WITH LESS THAN 80,000 MILES ON IT, AND IT'S BEEN GIVING ME TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS ALREADY. I ALMOST GOT STRANDED AND COULDN'T GO ABY FASTER THAN 30 MPH. IT ALMOST CUT OFF ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. MY TRANSMISSION AND ENGINE BOTH WOULD LOSE POWER AND WOULDN'T GO PAST FIRST GEAT. MYRPM HAND WENT ALL THE WAY UP TO 4 WHICH IT NORMALLY STAYS BETWEEN 1 AND 2, AND MY GAS HAND WENT FROM FULL, TO HALF, FULL, AND ALMOST EMPTY IN A FEW SECONDS. ENGINE RIDES ROUGH AND HAS TO TAKE OFF SPEED. TRANSMISSION AND ENGINE PROBLEMS WERE ADVISED BY BUICK AS BEING A KNOWN ISSUE BUT APPARENTLY THEY HAVEN'T STAYED TRUE TO THEIR NAME "BUICK." THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AS I COULD'VE GOTTEN EASILY HIT WITH NO TAKE OFF SPEED AS IT BARELY MOVES. IT HAS HAPPENED 5 TIMES WITH THESE SAME ISSUES BUT DEALERSHIP KEPT SAYING THAT NO CODES WOULD POP UP TO SEE WHAT'S THE ISSUE UNTIL A WEEK AGO, IT DID IT AGAIN FOR ABOUT 5TH TIME AND I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHO ADVISED ALL KINDS OF CODES WERE POPPING UP WITH MY ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION. ALSO THE WRITING ON MY CONTROL BUTTONS HAVE WORN OFF AND MY FRONT SUSPENSION NEEDS REPLACED AND MY DRIVER SEAT TRACKS WHICH ARE NOT COVERED UNDER MY WARRANTY. BUICK NERDS TO HOLD TRUE TO THEIR NAME AND COMPENSATE OR REPLACE THESE DETECTED 2008 BUICK ENCLAVES. BUICK IS NOT HOLDING TRUE TO THEIR NAME. I'M VERY DISSATISFIED AND IS MY FIRST TIME BEING A BUICK OWNER. NOW THE DEALERSHIP IS TRYING TO FIX THESE ISSUES, BIT I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING .

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT CLUTCH WAVE PLATE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 BUICK ENCLAVE. WHILE OPENING THE LIFTGATE, IT INADVERTENTLY CAME DOWN ON TOP OF THE CONTACT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
I PURCHASED A 2008 BUICK ENCLAVE IN SEPTEMBER 2015. I UNDERSTOOD THAT IT WAS AN OLDER VEHICLE, BUT IT APPEARED TO BE IN EXCEPTIONS CONDITION AND DECENT MILEAGE. HOWEVER, THE DAY AFTER PURCHASE, THERE WAS A PRETTY BAD STORM. AS I WAS DRIVING, WATER BEGAN TO POUR THROUGH THE CLOSED SUNROOF. IT LEAKED ONTO THE DASHBOARD, RAIN BEGAN TO SEEP FROM UNDERNEATH THE DASH ON BOTH SIDES ON TO MY FEET AS I DROVE. I WENT TO THE DEALER TO GET IT CHECKED OUT, BUT THEY WEREN'T ABLE TO FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE SUNROOF.THE LEAKAGE OCCURS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY AND IN MOTION. IT HAS CONTINUED, AND NOW MY AUDIO STOPPED WORKING, NO RADIO, CHIMING,ONSTAR, BACKUP NOISES OR ANYTHING. I HAVE HAD THE AUDIO SYSTEM LOOKED AT BUT, THEY CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHY NOTHING'S WORKING. THIS SO FRUSTRATING, I HAVE CONTACTED GM, BUT I WAS TOLD THERE ARE NO RECALLS FOR THE ISSUES THAT MENTIONED. I HOPE THAT BUICK FIGURES OUT THAT THIS IS A SOMEWHAT COMMON PROBLEM AMONGST ENCLAVE OWNERS AND FIX IT.
MY CAR WAS STATIONARY SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY AND ON SEPT. 1, 2015 I NOTICE THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WINDSHIELD WAS SHATTERED, UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION THE AIRBAG PASSENGER SIDE AND ALONE BOTH SIDES OF THE CAR HAD DEPLORED.
I HAVE BEEN ALMOST SQUISHED SEVERAL TIMES BY MY DYSFUNCTIONAL LIFT GATE. IT DOES NOT STAY OPEN ON IT'S OWN ANYMORE. IT WILL COME SLAMMING DOWN WHETHER THERE IS SOMETHING IN IT'S WAY OR NOT. WE WERE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE POWER STEERING WHINING AND A BACK TIRE LOCKING UP WHEN WE TURNED RIGHT. WE HAD THE WHEEL BEARINGS, POWER STEERING PUMP, STRUTS AND ROTORS REPLACED. THE MECHANIC CALLED AFTER ALL OF THIS WORK AND SAID IT WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE BECAUSE THE BACK TIRE KEPT LOCKING UP AND PUTTING HIM INTO A SKID WHILE HE WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS. WE THEN HAD TO HAVE A YAW SENSOR REPLACED. WE'VE ONLY HAD IT BACK FOR A DAY AND ARE HOPING THE PROBLEM IS FIXED BUT THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. THE TECHNICIAN TOLD US THAT WHEN THE ORIGINAL POWER STEERING PUMP IS REPLACED THE ABS SYSTEM CAN'T KEEP UP WHICH LOCKS YOUR TIRES WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 97,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE TRANSMISSION SUDDENLY FAILED. UPON TAKING THIS TO BOTH A GM DEALERSHIP AS WELL AS A TRANSMISSION SPECIALIST IT WAS IDENTIFIED THAT AN INTERNAL CLIP FAILED RESULTING IN COMPLETE TRANSMISSION DAMAGE. IT IS MY OPINION, AS WELL AS THE OPINION OF BOTH MECHANICS, THAT THIS TRANSMISSION SHOULD NOT HAVE FAILED AT SUCH LOW MILES. THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS ON THE INTERNET REGARDING THIS SAME PREMATURE FAILURE.

THE REAR PASSENGER SUSTAINED A LACERATION ON THE NECK THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 66,400.

DRIVING AT INTERSTATE SPEEDS WITH CRUISE CONTROL ON, SET TO 80MPH. AFTER HITTING A RIDGE AT EDGE AT EDGE OF BRIDGE, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUTTERED CAUSING VEHICLE TO AUTOMATICALLY SHUT OFF CRUISE CONTROL AND DECELERATE QUICKLY. I WENT FROM GOING 80MPH TO 55MPH IN A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME. AFTER TOUCHING THE GAS TO TRY TO MAINTAIN SPEEDS, CAR SUDDENLY SHIFTS INTO A NEUTRAL POSITION PUSHING ENGINE TO RED-LINE, THEN SHIFT INTO 5TH GEAR ROUGHLY. THE VEHICLE FROM THIS POINT ON, HAD ISSUES SHIFTING INTO 3RD AND 5TH GEARS. THIS CAR HAD ABSOLUTELY NO PRIOR ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION PRIOR TO THIS DATE. I HAD THE CAR SERVICED AND COMPLETELY CHECKED OUT BY A MECHANIC FOR ANY MECHANICAL ISSUES A FEW DAYS PRIOR TO THIS TRIP. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER, WHO FIXED TWO SEPARATE TRANSMISSION PLATES AND REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION MODULE. I WAS GUARANTEED BY THE REPAIR SHOP MANAGER THAT I WOULD HAVE NO FURTHER ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION. LITTLE DID I KNOW, I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN THAT CONVERSATION IN WRITING. I CONTINUED TO HAVE HARD SHIFTS AFTER THE REPAIR, ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT'S THE TRANSMISSION MODULE SENSING HOW I DROVE. LESS THAN ONE WEEK LATER, TRANSMISSION COMPLETELY FAILED, LEAVING MY WIFE STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WITH THE VEHICLE UNABLE TO NOT SHIFT OUT OF 1ST GEAR, FORCING ME TO CALL A TOW TRUCK TO BRING IT TO BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. NOW THEY ARE TELLING ME I HAVE TO REPLACED THE ENTIRE TRANSMISSION, ALL AT MY COST. AFTER PAYING FOR THE PLATES AND MODULE TO BE REPLACED LESS THAN A WEEK PRIOR, NOW THEY WANT TO AGAIN REPLACED THOSE PARTS WITH A COMPLETELY NEW TRANSMISSION. IF I WERE BEING FOLLOWED TOO CLOSELY BY ANOTHER CAR OR SEMI ON THE INTERSTATE, I WOULD HAVE BEEN REAR-ENDED. IF THAT WERE THE CASE- THERE WOULDN'T BE A COMPLAINT, BUT A LAWSUIT. GET THIS TRANSMISSION ISSUE FIXED. I HAVE READ COUNTLESS STORIES OF THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM.

SUNROOFS HAS BEEN LEAKING SINCE WE BOUGHT IT AND NOW ALL THE ELECTRICAL STUFF IS GOING BAD. IT'S A SAFETY HAZARD. NO ONE WILL HELP
ON 7/11/2015 WHEN I OPENED THE LIFT GATE OF MY VEHICLE, THE GATE WOULD NOT STAY OPEN. IT SLOWLY STARTED TO CLOSE. THIS PROBLEM PERSISTED FOR ABOUT 4-5 DAYS. ABOUT 6 DAYS LATER, THE GATE WAS WORKING FINE. ON 7/19/15 I OPENED THE LIFT GATE AND WAS STANDING UNDERNEATH IT GETTING MY CHILD'S STROLLER OUT OF THE BACK OF MY SUV. I HEARD A LOUD POP AND THE LIFT GATE CAME CRASHING DOWN ON THE TOP OF MY HEAD. I WAS THEN TRAPPED UNDER THE LIFT GATE AND STRUGGLED TO GET FREE (I HAD THE STROLLER IN MY ARMS). I WAS ABLE TO FREE MYSELF AND LOCATE MY SUNGLASSES (WHICH WERE ON TOP OF MY HEAD WHEN THE GATE CRASHED DOWN) ABOUT FIVE FEET AWAY. AT THIS POINT, THE LIFT GATE WAS COMPLETELY CLOSED. I TRIED OPENING IT AGAIN AND IT CAME CRASHING DOWN. CURRENTLY, THE LIFT GATE WILL NOT STAY OPEN AND I AM UNABLE TO USE THE GATE, AND THEREFORE UNABLE TO USE THE INTERIOR BACK AREA OF MY CAR. IN TERMS OF INJURY, I HAD A BUMP ON MY HEAD, FREQUENT HEADACHES, AND PERSISTENT NECK PAIN.

AIRBAG SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON....NOW WHEN A PASSENGER SITS IN THE SEAT THE LIGHT SAYS OFF. SO THAT NOW THE PASSENGER WILL NOT HAVE THE AIRBAG INFLIAT IF THERE IS A ACCIDENT...NOT GOOD. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL.

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

STEERING WHEEL SQUEAKING AND RUBBING ON SOMETHING WHEN TURNING? WHEN I TURN FROM SIDE TO SIDE I CAN FEEL A SLIGHT DRAG AND RUBBING/SQUEAKING NOISE. I WAS TOLD IT IS THE STEERING RACK. I HAVE BEEN DOING RESEARCH AND SEE COMPLAINTS OF THIS DATING BACK TO 2009. IF THEY KNOW THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS WHY HAVE THEY NOT DONE A RECALL. THE REPAIR COST THAT WAS QUOTED IS HIGH OVER ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS. THERE IS ALSO THE THE SERVICE LIGHTS AND STALLIG THAT RESETS ITSELF ON THE BUICK ENCLAVE IT HAPPENS WHEN VEHECIL IS SITTING STILL THE DOORS LOCK AND UNLOCK AND THE LIGHTS FLASH AND THE CAR ENGINE MAKES A SOUND AND THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. WE HAVE TAKEN IT IN TWICE FOR THIS AND IT SEEMS TO RESET ITSELF BECAUSE DEALER DOES NOT FIND A PROBLEM.
TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT ABOVE GEAR 2. DEALER AGREES THIS IS A WAVE PLATE ISSUE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE LIFTGATE FELL ON THE CONTACT'S HEAD. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS MY RADIO HAS BEEN GOING IN AND OUT LIKE IT IS SHORTING OUT OR SOMETHING. I HAVE AN 08' ENCLAVE AND I LIVE IN WISCONSIN, TODAY I STARTED MY VEHICLE AND PROCEEDED TO DRIVE AND ABOUT 2-3 MINUTES INTO THE RIDE, THE VEHICLE RAPIDLY BEGAN TO SLOW DOWN AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO JERK. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND THE STABILITY-TRACK LIGHT BOTH CAME ON DURING THE JERKING AND SLOWING DOWN OF MY VEHICLE. THE DIC STROLLS THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE "REDUCE ENGINE POWER AND SERVICE ENGINE." I DROVE MY VEHICLE ALL THE WAY HOME AND THE ENTIRE TIME I WAS UNABLE TO DRIVE NO MORE THAN 20 MILES PER HOUR EVEN THOUGH MY FOOT WAS COMPLETELY DOWN ON THE GAS PEDAL. WAS DRIVING ON I-35 ALMOST TO WICHITA KS, ABOUT 9 MILES OUT, LOW OIL PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON AND BINGING ALARM FOR ME TO STOP ENGINE, HAD GRANDKIDS WITH ME, AND IT WAS DARK ON HIGHWAY, PULLED OVER AND TURNED OFF ENGINE, WAITED FOR ABOUT 10 MINS, MADE IT TO A HOTEL IN WICHITA, IT WAS ABOUT 1 AM SUNDAY MORNING. HAD A MECHANIC LOOK AT THE OIL PAN AND CHECK THE OIL, SAID WHEN I GET HOME TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT. NOTICED THAT CAR BEGAN TO MAKE A SHAKING OR SHUTTER NOISE UPON ACCELERATION, MADE IT BACK TO HOME, TOOK CAR TO BUICK DEALER ON 3/26/15 BUICK DEALER SAID IT MIGHT BE SOMETHING IN THE TRANSMISSION AFTER THEY TEST DROVE IT, QUOTED ME A $4000 REPAIR PRICE, I JUST PAID THE $123.12 FOR THE DIAGNOSIS, DEALER SAID THAT IF NOT REPAIRED I MIGHT LOSE MY 3RD, OR REVERSE GEAR. ON FRIDAY 4/11/15 I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM GM ABOUT A POSSIBLE BROKEN/CRACKED WAVE PLATE ON 2008 ENCLAVE WHICH STATED THAT I MIGHT LOSE MY 3RD , 5TH OR REVERSE. SINCE IT WAS THE SAME WORDING AS WHAT THE DEALER TOLD ME, ON SATURDAY 4/12/15 I TOOK MY BUICK BACK TO THE DEALER, BECAUSE OF THE MILEAGE REQUIREMENT IN THE LETTER, DROPPED IT OFF 04/15/15 AND . ON 4/16/15 DEALER INFORMS ME THAT THIS IS NOT MY ISSUE, THEY WANT TO REPLACE MY TRANSMISSION AT ABOUT $4,000. I AM JUST LEARY BECAUSE I RECEIVED THE LETTER AFTER THEY HAD INFORMED ME THAT I MIGHT LOSE MY 3RD/REVERSE GEAR, BUT NOW THEY TELLING ME THAT THIS IS NOT MY ISSUE AND I WILL HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE MY CAR FIXED. SO I HAVE TO PAY $520.00 FOR THEM LOOKING AT MY WAVE PLATE, AND PUTTING MY ENCLAVE BACK TOGETHER. AFTER SEEING SO MANY OTHER ENCLAVE OWNERS ON THIS SITE, I JUST DECIDED TO ADD MY OWN SO OTHERS OWNERS CAN BE INFORMED OF THE ONGOING ISSUE WITH THE 2008 BUICK ENCLAVE. WE HAVE HAD WITH THE DRAINS FROM THE SUN ROOFS AND NOW WE HAVE WATER UNDER THE FLOOR BOARD AND I AM AFRAID THER MIGHT BE MOLD GROWING WE PULLED UP THE FLOOR BOARD AND FOUND THE WATER WE HAVE HAD THE DRAINS BLEW OUT EVERY MONTHS BUT STILL THERE IS WATER WE HAVE HAD THE RUBBER AROUND THE SUN ROOF LOOKED AT AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,000.
THE PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT ALWAYS SAYS OFF AND THE SERVICE AIR BAG NOTICE IS ALWAYS ON. WE TOOK THE CAR IN TO A DEALER SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND WERE TOLD IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE AIRBAG RECALL. THIS IS HARD TO BELIEVE; THE VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT. GM SHOULD NOT RISK AN IMPORTANT SAFETY ISSUE DEFECT TO GO IGNORED.
TRANSMISSION SLIPPAGE. EXPECT WAVE PLATE OR SIMILAR ISSUE. FORTUNATELY WILL BE ABLE TO DRIVE IN FOR SERVICE. CONTACTED BUICK TO SEE IF THEY WILL ASSIST WITH REPAIRS AS THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE. *TR
UNDER 100K MILES, TRANSMISSION WENT OUT. DEALERSHIP STATED, FAULTY WAVE WASHER AND SNAP RING. THIS CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO GO INTO A NEUTRAL POSITION AT 70 MILES/HR. ENGINE REVVED. LOST STEERING AND VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. HAD TO COAST TO THE SHOULDER DURING HEAVY TRAFFIC. GM STATED REPLACEMENT WOULD COST $4500 FOR NEW TRANSMISSION. DECLINED GM'S ESTIMATE AND WENT TO A DIFFERENT AUTO SHOP AND REBUILT THE TRANSMISSION. MECHANICS AT THE TRANSMISSION SHOP STATED THAT GM/BUICK WAS WELL AWARE OF THE FAULTY TRANSMISSION BUT THEY HAVE NOT RECALLED THESE FAULTY TRANSMISSIONS. AUTO SHOP STATED THE PART TO FIX THE TRANSMISSION ONLY COSTS $7. DIDN'T WANT TO GET A NEW GM TRANSMISSION AS IT MAY BE JUST AS FAULTY AS THE CURRENT TRANSMISSION THAT HAD THE PROBLEM. GM SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE AND I EXPECT FULL REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE PAYMENT AND EMOTIONAL DISTRESS THIS PROBLEM HAS CAUSED ME.

THE PPS MODULE KEEPS BREAKING EVERY 1.5 YEARS. THIS IS THE PASSENGER PRESENCE MODULE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT THAT GIVES INDICATION TO THE VEHICLE AS TO WHETHER THERE IS A PASSENGER OVER 100 POUNDS, AND TELLS THE VEHICLE WHETHER TO DEPLOY AIRBAGS. SINCE THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE, IT HAS BROKEN 3 MORE TIMES. IT WAS REPLACE TWICE UNDER WARRANTY, AND NOW IT HAS BROKEN AGAIN OUT OF WARRANTY AND RITCHEY CADILLAC TELLS ME THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. IT IS OVER $1000 TO FIX...EVERY YEAR AND HALF?? THE 'SERVICE AIR BAG' MESSAGE COMES ON, THE AIRBAG ICON COMES ON. IT BREAKS SO OFTEN THAT I DON'T TRUST IT AT ALL! CLEARLY THIS IS A PASSENGER SAFETY ISSUE, THAT IS NOT BEING PROPERLY ADDRESSED. THEY KEEP REPLACING THE ISSUE WITH A JUNK SOLUTION.
IN 2012, MY 2008 BUICK ENCLAVE WAS RECALLED DUE TO A MALFUNCTION OF THE AIRBAG. THE RECALL NUMBER WAS #10085. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY COLEMAN BUICK IN LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ IN 2012 AND THE COST OF THE REPAIRS WAS COVERED UNDER THE RECALL. ON FEB 10, 2015, I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO COLEMAN BUICK BECAUSE THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WAS NOT PERFORMING PROPERLY AGAIN. THE DEALER INDICATED THE "PASSENGER PRESENCE MODULE" WAS NOT FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY AND THAT IT WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED AT THE COST OF OVER $875. I DO NOT FEEL THIS IS FAIR OR PROPER SINCE THE VEHICLE HAS PREVIOUSLY BEEN RECALLED FOR AIR BAG ISSUES AND BECAUSE GM IS CURRENTLY RECALLING THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES FOR KNOWN AIRBAG DEFECTS. *TR

IT WAS LATER DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED NO ASSISTANCE OTHER THAN RECOMMENDING THE CONTACT REPLACE THE PART. THERE WERE NO RECALLS REGARDING THE TRANSMISSION AND ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE RACK AND PINION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,000.
THE WAVE PLATES BROKE WHILE DRIVING 60MPH ON THE HWY. CAR JOLTED AND CLUNKED...FELT AS IF WE WENT FROM 5TH TO 1ST GEAR. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP AND FOUND IT WAS THE WAVE PLATES.
