While sitting at a traffic light my engine runs rough, then it dies
Transmission needs replacing
Steering wheel airbag warning. Seat belts fraying. The underneath welding for the support bar, potentially the rear axel, came unwelded.
Fuel pump, throttle body, and High pressure fuel pump. Car makes door lock noises and’s completely cuts off while driving over 20 times now on highway and all. Have gotten several things repaired in addition to these listed things and after repairing car works fine for a few months then needing to be replaced again. No codes are being given other then abs, traction control warning and stabilitrak
The tailgate lifts up and then slams down violently
My car has shut off multiple times , electrical shorts, intermittent no start, intermittent misfires all the time but randomly , injector codes even when replaced and injectors are good , yes come check out my vehicle no shops can find out what's the problem practically the whole front end has been replaced and problems still happening it is congruent with a recall but shows nothing from vin
Driving along and engine power reduced causing car to slow significantly - like downshifting two gears. Lights / traction control lights came on dash. Errors flashed - "Traction Control Off", "Service Stabilitrak", "Engine Power Reduced" All of this not only caused a slight bit of confusion, but placed us in danger with the flow of traffic. A repair shop replaced the gas pedal, however issue persists. Research indicates the throttle body sensor might be at fault - so we replaced this. Issue persisted, so I spent time online and found a GM TSB indicating a known issue and extending the warranty 10 years or 120K miles for P2138 Code. At this point, this issue persists intermittently, so we do not consider the vehicle safe to drive.
The contact owns a 2012 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle lunged forward while accelerating. The failure was more persistent at speeds of 40 MPH and lower. There were no warning lights illuminated. Additionally, while turning the steering wheel to the left or the right there was a clunking sound coming from the steering wheel. The vehicle had been taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the rack and pinion needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 83,000.
What does it mean when my car says service StabiliTrak and service traction control? Its main function is indicating that the traction system has been turned off manually to remind you to turn it back on when necessary. However, the StabiliTrak warning light may also signal potential damage to vehicle components that allow the system to work effectively. Loss of Power to Engine, Can't stear, feels like its about to blow up. It seems very usual for the Enclaves, Traverses and Acadias. And I had the same problem out of my 2014 Traverse LTZ
If any warning light comes on such as my add air to a tire (it always tells me the wrong tire), all of the warning lights start flashing. Things shut off (radio, dash lights, backup camera) and sometimes the car will shut completely down and come back on. I am afraid to drive very far.
PURCHASED CAR USED FROM CAR DEALER. DEALER STATES HIS MECHANIC INSPECTED VEHICLE. I DROVE OFF THE LOT WITH NO ISSUES. LESS THAN 48 HRS LATER, SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, IGNITION TURNED ON WHEN LIGHT CAME ON. LIGHT COMES ON, GOES OFF AND REPEATS THIS...

The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The local dealer was not contacted. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V415000 (STRUCTURE). The failure mileage was 118,000.
When pulling onto a county road with traffic the transmission kept slipping and the engine would rev higher. It took a lot longer to get up to speed and the cars behind me had to brake quickly.
The contact owns a 2012 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that while placing groceries into his vehicle, an abnormal noise began to emit from the rear liftgate. As the contact moved out of the way, the liftgate slammed down independently without warning. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V415000 (Structure) which he linked to the failure. The contact called the manufacturer and he was informed that his vehicle was not included in the recall. The contact was then referred to a dealer for assistance. The dealer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
The contact owns a 2012 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that while driving uphill and while driving approximately 60 MPH, the vehicle was jerking. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired after the dealer made a contract for the repair; however, the failure recurred, and the contact stated that the vehicle was jerking while driving at various speeds. The vehicle was then taken to two independent mechanics, who retrieved failure codes from the wheel speed sensor. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. After filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, the contact was advised to file a complaint with the NHTSA hotline. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 128,000.

The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximate 140,000
Loss of power steering when brakes applied. This is dangerous to make turns and park the vehicle. Buick has already issued at least one NHTSA service bulletin regarding this issue, in which the power steering pump failure causes intermittent drops of hydraulic pressure that will cause reduced or loss of steering assist
High speed wiper function does not work.

THE FUEL GAUGE READS 1/4 FULL THEN A COUPLE MINUTES LATER READ EMPTY. IT FLUCTUATES CONSTANTLY GIVING THE WRONG READING. SEVERAL OTHERS HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE WITH THIS SAME YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL VEHICLE.
I purchased this vehicle (used)on 01/12/2021. 5 weeks later the brakes pedal went to the floor. It has done this randomly several times. Usually I can get the car stopped, put it in park and pump the brake pedal a few times and the pedal will be back to normal. When this happens it's usually at a low speed and I can get the car stopped but it takes a while. I have attempted to talk to Gen. Motors at Detroit seeking information as to how can I repair this problem. I got no help from Detroit. My local Buick shop manager tells me it could be any number of things. Maybe a sensor or something in the brake system or a vaccuum problem. I need to know what to do to fix this problem before I get into a wreck.
I BOUGHT A 2012 BUICK ENCLAVE USED IN 2018. THIS YEAR THE AIRBAG DASHBOARD LIGHT CAME ON. MECHANIC SAYS I MUST REPLACE THE AIRBAG (WHICH ISN'T CHEAP) AND ALL AIRBAGS ARE DISABLED UNTIL IT IS FIXED. I KNOW THERE WAS A MASSIVE RECALL BUT APPARENTLY MY ENCLAVE WASN'T ONE OF THEM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 BUICK ENCLAVE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LIFTGATE INADVERTENTLY CLOSED AND STRUCK A PERSON RETRIEVING AN UNKNOWN OBJECT OUT OF THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE F. C. KERBECK GMC DEALER LOCATED AT 100 ROUTE 73 N, PALMYRA, NJ 08065, WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,100.
TIMING CHAIN STRETCHED

WORN OUT TIMING CHAIN AND GEARS CAUSING ENGINE CODES P0017, P0018, AND P0019
I HAD THE RECALL DONE ON MY VEHICLE AS PART OF THE 2015/2016 LIFTGATE RECALL. I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS SINCE. THIS MORNING WHEN GETTING INTO THE BACK OF MY CAR, THE LIFTGATE STARTED TO CLOSE ON IT'S OWN WITH NO WARNING (BEEPING OR LIGHTS) AND HIT ME ON THE HEAD. EVEN THOUGH IT IS SUPPOSED TO OPEN AGAIN WHEN IT DETECTS AN OBJECT IN THE WAY, IT CONTINUED TO PUSH CLOSE ON ME. I HAD TO FORCE THE LIFTGATE UP WHILE IT WAS PUSHING DOWN. I TRIED TURNING THE POWER OFF AND THE LIFTGATE WON'T STAY OPEN AT ALL. I TRIED PROPPING SOMETHING UNDER IT TO KEEP IT OPEN, BUT DUE TO THE WEIGHT OF THE LIFTGATE, I CANNOT KEEP IT OPEN. I EFFECTIVELY CAN NO LONGER SAFELY USE THE BACK OF MY VEHICLE FOR STORAGE, AS I AM AFRAID THE DOOR WILL TRY TO CLOSE ON ME EVERY TIME. I HAVE READ THAT IT IS AN ELECTRICAL/SOFTWARE ISSUE, AS WELL AS AN ISSUE WITH THE STRUTS ON THE DOOR. I HAD THE SOFTWARE UPGRADED, BUT THE STRUTS WERE NOT REPLACED AS PART OF THE ORIGINAL RECALL. THE ONLY ELECTRICAL ISSUES I'VE HAD ARE THAT THE ACTUATORS FOR MY HEATING & A/C ARE NOT SWITCHING OVER. BECAUSE OF THIS MY DEFROST AND FRONT VENTS DON'T WORK. I LIVE IN AN AREA WHERE IT IS BELOW FREEZING IN THE WINTER. THE DEFROST NOT WORKING HAS CAUSED SAFETY ISSUES BECAUSE THE WINDOWS WILL FOG UP SUDDENLY WHILE I'M DRIVING. I HAVE TO PULL OVER OFTEN TO SQUEEGEE THE FOG OFF THE INSIDE OF THE WINDOWS SO I CAN SEE WHILE DRIVING. TRIED REPLACING THE PARTS OURSELVES, AND IT STILL DOESN'T WORK. I HAVE ALSO HAD ISSUES WITH THE RADIO/ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM. IT RANDOMLY CHANGES BETWEEN BAND, CD, AUX INPUT, SATELLITE RADIO AND USB WITH NO INPUT FROM ME. ALTHOUGH THIS IS MORE OF A NUISANCE THAN A SAFETY ISSUE, I FEAR IT POINTS TO A LARGER ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. I HAVE TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO A DEALERSHIP FOR THE ACTUATOR AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM PROBLEMS AND WAS TOLD THEY CAN'T REPLICATE THE ISSUE, SO THEY CAN'T FIX IT. DOES IT EVERY TIME I DRIVE.
THE REAR POWER LIFT GATE DOES NOT STAY UP AND CLOSES SUDDENLY AND HAS CAUSED SEVERAL MINOR INJURIES TO MY FAMILY. I NOTICED THERE WAS POTENTIALLY A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE FOR ENCLAVES MADE BETWEEN 2010 AND MARCH OF 2012 BUT IT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE ASSOCIATED TO MY SPECIFIC VIN.
LAST COUPLE YEARS I BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION SKIPPING, HESITATING A LOT THE DEALER TOLD ME THERE IS BIG PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION IN THIS VEHICLE AND THEY TOLD ME I WILL NEED NEW TRANSMISSION OR IT HAS TO BE REBUILT BECAUSE IT WILL GET WORSE WITH TIME. MY MECHANIC ADD SOME LUCAS TO HELP SMOOTH UP THE SHIFTING AND I DID THAT TWICE AND IT GETTING WORSE NOW SO I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WILL DO BECAUSE NEW TRANSMISSION IS COSTLY AND REBUILD ALSO. THE PROBLEM ACCURAC WHEN I DRIVE EVERY DAY AND IT'S HAPPENS WHEN I BE CRUISING AND THE CAR BE HESITATING AND SHAKING AND DON'T WANT TO DOWN SHIFT AND THEN FEELS LIKE IS STOLING AND WILL SHUT DOWN AND THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME I DRIVE SO THIS IS SAFETY ISSUE AND THIS IS HAPPENING TO A LOT OF PEOPLE AND SHOULD BE RECALL FOR THE TRANSMISSION IN THIS VEHICLE AS SOON POSSIBLE. THANKS
The contact owns a 2012 Buick Enclave. The contact stated while driving 65 mph, the engine started shaking with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact stated when he disengaged the accelerator pedal and depressed it again, the engine stopped shaking. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who informed the contact that they could not duplicate the failure however, the check engine light was reset. The contact stated that the failure had been reoccurring from the original date of purchase. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic several times. The contact stated that the catalytic converter, alternator, battery, fuel pump and fuel pressure sensors were replaced however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 158,000.
POWER STEERING PUMP WAS REPLACED SEPT 2017 DUE TO INTERMITTENT STEERING PROBLEMS WHEN MAKING RIGHT HAD TURNS GENERALLY AT LOWER SPEEDS (78066 MILEAGE). NOVEMBER 2019 SAME ISSUE (98302 MILEAGE) DEALER TOLD ME WITH SOME CARS TWO YEARS IS THE LIFE OF A POWER STEERING PUMP. I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE IF THIS HAPPENED A ANY RATE OF SPEED. ALSO, THE AIR CONDITIONER HAS BEEN REPAIRED EVERY YEAR SINCE 2015. EARLIER IN 2019 THE BLOWER ON THE HEATER TOTALLY QUIT AND HAD TO BE REPLACED
I HAVE LOOKED UP MY VEHICLE INFORMATION THROUGH GM. I CAN SEE WHERE THEY HAD THE VEHICLE IN A SHOP IN NY TO LOOK AT IT. UNKNOWINGLY I BOUGHT A VEHICLE WITH A HUGE LIST OF ISSUES! FIRST OF ALL, THE TORQUE CONVERTER WAS GOING OUT ON MY VEHICLE WHEN I PURCHASED IT FOR A DEALER. SECOND, THE TRANSMISSIONS ON THE ENCLAVES, ACADIAS, TRAVERSES AND TERRAINS ARE JUNK! I TAKE GREAT CARE OF MY VEHICLES AND HAVE NEVER HAD A TRANSMISSION FAIL ON ME AT 100,000 MILES! WHEN GM HAS THIS VEHICLE IN NY THEY SHOULD HAD REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION AND THE TORQUE CONVERTER WHEN IT WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY! THEY STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT FIND OUT WHAT THE ISSUE WAS. EVERY SINGLE PERSON THAT I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH THAT HAS THE ABOVE NAMED VEHICLES ARE LEFT WITH TRANSMISSION FAILURE AT VERY LOW MILEAGE. NOW I'M LEFT WITH HAVING TO REPAIR THE COST OF BOTH UNITS. THIS SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED AS TO MANY ISSUES ARE ARISING FROM THESE MODELS. WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE VEHICLE DOES NOTHING BUT SHUDDER AND SHAKE WHILE NOT WANTING TO ACCELERATE IS DANGEROUS! MY TRANSMISSION FAILED OUT OF NO WHERE! I CURRENTLY DO NOT HAVE 4TH,5TH OR 6TH GEAR.
MY TAILGATE SUDDENLY CLOSES. THERE WAS A RECALL NHTSA # 15V415000 FOR THIS ISSUE BUT MY VIN # WAS NOT INCLUDED. MY MAKE YEAR AND PROBLEM MATCHES THE RECALL
CONTINUAL AC LEAKS. I HAVE PUT SO MUCH MONEY INTO REPAIRS FOR THE AC AND WHEN IT LEAKS A WHITE GAS POURS OUT OF THE VENTS. THIS LINK SHOWS OTHERS HAVING MUCH THE SAME ISSUES I AM EXPERIENCING WITH MY CAR. HTTPS://FORUMS.EDMUNDS.COM/DISCUSSION/11919/BUICK/ENCLAVE/BUICK-ENCLAVE-AC-PROBLEMS/P11 I'M PUTTING MOST RECENT DATE BELOW ALTHOUGH I HAVE HAD MY CAR IN THE SHOP ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. JUST HAD IT REPAIRED A MONTH AND A HALF AGO AND FREON IS EMPTY AGAIN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS 2012 BUICK ENCLAVE. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO TURN ON THE HEATER HOWEVER, THERE WAS NO HEAT COMING OUT OF THEIR VENTS. THE FAILURE CAUSED THE WINDSHIELD TO BECOME FROSTED AND FOGGY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VISIBILITY WAS GREATLY DIMINISHED THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO BOUCHER BUICK GMC OF WAUKESHA (1907 E MORELAND BLVD, WAUKESHA, WI 53186) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE HVAC CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED HOWEVER, THE PART WAS DISCONTINUED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 120,000.
I WAS IN A COLLISION ON 6/21/2019 THAT HAD SEVERE FRONT END OBSTRUCTIONS AND WITH A STRONG TOTAL LOSS AS A RESULT. MY AIRBAGS NEVER DEPLOYED. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON ASSEMBLY STREET, COLUMBIA SC.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 BUICK ENCLAVE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR FLASHED AND THEN REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO COMMONWEALTH MOTOR (1508 135 MARSTON ST, LAWRENCE, MA 01841) WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 109,000.
HELLO I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE AIR BAG OF A BUICK ENCLAVE 2012 MANUFACTURED BY GM. AND THEY SAY THAT MY CAR HAS NO PROBLEM OF THAT TYPE AND I SAW THAT CAR THAT YEAR HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE AIR BAG. THE CAR DOES NOT HAVE TO TURN ON THE SERVICE AIR BAG LIGHT BUT HAS HAD NO CRASH OR ANY CHANGE OR REPAIR IN THAT PART THE CAR, GM'S CARLA REPRESENTATIVE SAYS THAT I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING ALL THE REPAIR FOR A GM PROBLEM. THEY SENT A DILER TO SEE THAT PROBLEM AND WHEN HE ARRIVED THEY TOLD ME THAT NOBODY HAD NOTIFIED HIM OF MY CAR AND THAT THEY CHECKED IT BUT I HAD TO PAY,
TIMING CHAIN SLIPS. NOW IT IS SHOT.
LIFTGATE COMES CRASHING DOWN AFTER OPENING AND STAYING UP FOR A FEW SECONDS
2 MONTHS AGO MY SERVICE AIR BAG ICON & MESSAGE CAME ON MY DASH WHEN I STARTED MY CAR. I TOOK IT TO GET IT LOOKED AT THEY PULLED A CODE BUT NOW THEY HAVE TO HAVE MY CAR ALL DAY TO SEE WHERE THE PROBLEM ACTUALLY IS. COSTING ME LOTS OF MONEY FOR THEIR LABOR. GIVE ME A BREAK WHY ISNT THIS A RECALL FOR MY CAR. OBVIOUSLY I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE HAVING ISSUES WITH AIR BAG.
REAR LIFT GATE WILL PARTIALLY OPEN THEN CLOSE AGAIN, WHEN YOU ATTEMPT TO MANUALLY OPEN IT WILL NOT HOLD IN THE OPEN POSITION. LIFT GATE WILL OPEN ALL OF THE WAY THEN CLOSE ELECTRONICALLY, THE GATE PINNED MY ELDERLY MOTHER. LIFT GATE WILL STOP WORKING ALL TOGETHER.
MY VEHICLE JUST TURNED OFF WHILE AT A STOP SIGN PREPARING TO TURN. IT WAS TOWED TO A MECHANIC THAT ADVISED IT WAS 2 QUARTS LOW IN OIL (OIL WAS REPLACED 2 WEEKS PRIOR) AND THAT MY BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THEY ADDED THE OIL AND REPLACED THE BATTERY. I DRIVE THE CAR ~ 5 MILES HOME AND IT STOPPED AGAIN. THIS TIME WHEN TRYING TO START THE CAR, THERE WAS AN AUDIBLE SCREECHING COMING FROM THE ENGINE AND THE ENGINE WAS SHAKING. THE MECHANIC OFFERED TO TOWELS THE CAR BACK TO THEIR SHOP. AFTER INSPECTION, THEY ADVISED THAT "SOMETHING" WAS BROKEN INSIDE THE ENGINE AND THAT IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. MY CAR HAS 75,000 MILES ON IT; HAS HAD REGULAR MAINTENANCE; THERE WERE NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS AND/OR OVER HEATING LIGHTS. I WAS ALSO ADVISED BY THE MECHANIC THAT THIS IS A COMMON KNOWN ISSUE WITH BUICK. I'M NOW LEFT WITH HAVING TO PAY ANYWHERE FROM $7500-$8500 TO REPLACE AN ENGINE ON A VEHICLE THAT I'VE HAD FOR 2 YEARS.
