Air bag light comes on is also intermitt some times stays on and someimes on only for a minute or two
On three occasions, when driving at night, both headlights suddenly went out. The next day the headlights were working normally. The dealer's service department could not find anything wrong. Later, we found out there was a "Safety Recall" (#14291),but it expired one year before our car developed the problem. We have contacted the dealership and Buick, neither one will help us. They expect us to pay for the replacement of the defective part (Headlamp Driver Module).
The contact owns a 2008 Buick LaCrosse. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the headlights failed to illuminate. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the headlamps had failed. The headlamps were replaced and the failure was remedied however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V519000 (Exterior Lighting). The contact indicated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 41,000.
My vehicle has been parked for the better of about two years due to head lamp failure and engine shutting off without warning at any particular time. Steps were made to fix the issue but the problem continues still to this day.
Door locks somtimes would lock or unlock and other times not work at all. Made it a issue when parking or entering the car. I had to replace the lock mechanism in the doors. The car has 99135 miles on it but should not have a problem especally the back doors since they are not used very often.
The contact owns a 2008 Buick LaCrosse. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the airbag warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 30196 MILES ON IT.THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG STAYS ON ALL THE TIME. I NOTICED THERE ARE A LOT OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS MODEL BUICK LACROSSE.WHY HASN'T A RECALL BEEN ISSUED ON THESE VEHICLES.
DOORS WILL NOT LOCK WITH EITHER THE FOB OR THE INTERIOR LOCK BUTTON ON EITHER DOORS. I'M READING ON LINE OF SIMILAR ISSUES WITH THIS MODEL WHERE DOORS WILL NOT UNLOCK!
THE DRIVERS SIDE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT KEEPS GOING OUT. I DID LOOK UP ANY RECALLS, WHICH THERE WAS FOR THIS, BUT IT SHOWS THAT IT WAS FIXED. WE DIDN'T HAVE AN ISSUES FOR THE FIRST 9 MONTHS AND HAVE NOW REPLACED THE BULB SEVERAL TIMES. I AM CONCERNED THAT IT IS HAPPENING WHILE MY DAUGHTER IS DRIVING THIS AT NIGHT IN A RURAL AREA WITH A LOT OF DEER AND OTHER ANIMALS RUNNING INTO THE ROADS.
THE FRONT HEADLIGHTS AND RUNNING LIGHTS JUST GO OFF FOR NO REASON. WHEN DRIVING HOME ON NIGHT THE HEADLIGHTS WENT OFF FOR NO REASON. THE NEST DAY, THEY WORKED. THEY CONTINUE TO WORK, BUT THE NIGHT THEY WENT OUT WAS VERY DISTURBING. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, ON STATE HGWY, GETTING READY TO TURN TO THE RIGHT.
THE HDM FAILED LEAVING ME WITH ONLY HIGH BEAMS, HAVE BEE TOLD THEY ARE NOT UNDER RECALL. SHAMROCK SERVICE CENTER, SPENT 1 AND 1/2 HRS DIAGNOSING AND FOUND NO RECALL. MANY OTHER MODELS HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR THIS DANGEROUS PROBLEM. I AM RETIRED AND CANNOT AFFORD THIS REPAIR. WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR ME. WHEN I TURNED ON THE LIGHTS TO GO HOME LAST WEEK, THERE WERE NO LIGHTS BUT HIGH BEAMS. I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST BULBS, SO I TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL REPAIR SHOP. THEY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AND I AM WAITING FOR THE PART TO COME IN. I KNOW THIS WILL BE EXPENSIVE AS I THINK ITS AROUND $100.00 PER HR. IT WAS IN A PARKING LOT WHERE I DISCOVERED IT. HAD TO DRIVE HOME WITH THE HIGH BEAMS.
I JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR USED AND THE HEADLIGHTS DIDN'T WORK WHEN I GOT IT. THE HI BEAMS AND YELLOW MARKER LIGHTS DO WORK. JUST NOT THE LO BEAMS. I BOUGHT THE CAR ON 9/28/20, IT HAD 124,000 MILES ON IT WHEN I BOUGHT IT
ONCE IN A WHILE IT ACTS UP WHERE IT STATES THAT IT'S GOT LOW OIL PRESSURE EVEN THO IT'S GOT PLENTY OF OIL,ALSO IT HAS MISFIRED DURING WHEN THIS HAPPENS. IT'S LIKE THIS: I'M DRIVING. EVERYTHING IS FINE UNTIL ALL OF THE SUDDEN I NOTICE ENGINE LIGHT IS ON ALSO THE T/C LIGHT COMES ON AND IT ALSO STATES THE LOW OIL PRESSURE AND THE ACCELERATION PEDAL IT ACTS UP. FOR EXAMPLE, I'M GIVING GAS AND IT ISN'T ACCELERATING AS MUCH AS IT SHOULD BE AND IT TOTALLY FLUCTUATES. I'VE ALSO HAD THE CAR MISFIRE AND SHUT OFF DURING ONE OF THESE EPISODES AS WELL. THESE EPISODES OF WHAT I HAD JUST DESCRIBED COMES AND GOES AND ACTUALLY IT STAYED GONE FOR A GOOD WHILE NOW UNTIL JUST A FEW MINUTES AGO. THE GUY WHO SOLD ME THIS CAR TOLD ME THAT THERE'SA RECALL ON WHATEVER ISSUE I'M HAVING WITH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL (I PLUGGED IN FIXD TOOL WHICH TELLS ME WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY CAR AND GIVES ME TWO CODES THE CODES BEING: P: 2138 AND CODES P: 1125.
I WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD ON COLLISION AT ROUGHLY 30 MILES AN HOUR AND THE FRONT AIR BAGS NEVER DEPLOYED.
RED AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON INTERMITTENTLY. MANY OWNERS OF THESE CARS HAVE COMPLAINED. IT IS A POOR DESIGN AND SHOULD BE RECALLED. WHEN THE AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON, THERE IS NO AIR BAGS THAT WORK. THE PROBLEM IS IN THE WIRING AND IN THE PASSENGER PRESENCE SYSTEM WHICH COSTS NEARLY 1K FOR A NEW SEAT BLADDER WHICH MAY OR MAY NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. MANY OWNERS OF THESE MODELS ARE HAVING ISSUES WITH THE AIR BAG SYSTEMS IN THESE VEHICLES. WHY HASN'T GM BEEN ORDERED TO REPAIR ALL OF THESE OBVIOUSLY DEFECTIVE SYSTEMS? NEVER HAD AN AIR BAG PROBLEM WITH ANY OTHER VEHICLE. LIGHT IS ON STEADY NOW AND ALL AIR BAGS ARE DISABLED DUE TO THIS ONE PROBLEM. NOT A GREAT DESIGN AND AS A SAFETY ISSUE, IT SHOULD BE A MANDATORY REPAIR BY GM. NONE OF MY OTHER BRANDS-FORD, NISSAN, OR HONDAS HAVE EVER HAD AN AIR BAG PROBLEM. THIS IS ANOTHER IGNITION KEY DESIGN TYPE LAWSUIT WAITING TO HAPPEN. WHY HASN'T A RECALL BEEN ORDERED? OVER 70 COMPLAINTS RIGHT HERE FOR SAME ISSUES. WHEN IS SOMETHING GOING TO BE DONE BEFORE DEATHS OCCUR DUE TO NON DEPLOYMENT?
WHILE DRIVING THE CAR COMPLETELY SHUTS OFF AND I'VE HAD CLOSE CALLS. I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND SIDE STREET WHEN THIS HAPPENED.
I JUST PURCHASED THIS CAR LAST WEEK AND I NOTICED WHEN I HIT THE LOCK ON THE FOB, MY ALARM WOULD SOUND, BUT MY DOOR LOOKS WOULDN'T CLOSE. SO I TRIED IT IN MY CAR AS WELL WITH THE LOCKS ON THE DOOR AND NOTHING. THE UNLOCK WORKS PERFECT BY THE WAY (FOB & DOOR LOCKS). I MANUALLY LOCK MY DOORS AT NIGHT AND IN THE MORNING, THE LOCKS WILL WORK A FEW TIMES, AND THEN STOP AGAIN. ALSO THE DOORS DO NOT LOCK WHEN YOU TAKE THE CARE OUT OF PARK.
THE POWER DOOR LOCKS DO NOT WORK PROPERLY EVEN WHEN USING THE INTERIOR SWITCHES. MOST OF THE TIME, DOORS MUST BE LOCKED OR UNLOCKED MANUALLY ! OUR 2008 BUICK LACROSSE CXL HAS LESS THAN 51,000 MILES AND SHOULD NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE I'VE READ THAT PEOPLE WERE TRAPPED/ UNABLE TO GET OUT OF THEIR LACROSSE WHEN TRIP WAS DONE.
CAR KEEPS STALLING. LOSES POWER STEERING HARD TO NAVIGATE. HAPPENS QUITE OFTEN. CITY STREETS HIGHWAY, PARKING LOTS. ETC.
THE AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON FREQUENTLY, BUT MAINLY DURING HOT SUMMER DAYS AND HAS CAME ON SEVERAL TIMES SINCE WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE MARCH OF 2019. THE LIGHT COMES ON WHEN WE ARE STATIONARY AND WHILE DRIVING. WHEN DOING RESEARCH, THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH OTHER CONSUMERS VEHICLES. I HAD READ IT WAS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE AND IN MY OPINION THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND SHOULD BE A RECALL. ANOTHER ISSUE WE HAVE THAT I ALSO SEEN WAS A COMMON ISSUE WITH LACROSSE OWNERS, IS THE POWER LOCKS. NONE OF MY LOCK WORK PROPERLY, ALL OF THEM HAVE TO BE MANUALLY LOCKED AND UNLOCKED. TODAY, DECEMBER 10, 2019, WE NOTICED THAT WHEN I TRIED GETTING OUT OF THE CAR THE DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN. DOOR WAS UNLOCKED AND HAD BEEN UNLOCKED. MY BOYFRIEND TRIED OPENING THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE AND IT WOULD NOT OPEN. I TRIED TO LOCK IT AND UNLOCK IT AGAIN, I TRIED PUSHING THE DOOR REALLY HARD TO SEE IF IT WOULD POP OPEN AND NO LUCK. I THINK THERE SHOULD BE A LOT MORE RECALLS ON THIS VEHICLE AS I'VE HAD THIS ISSUES AS WELL AS MANY OTHERS.
ALL OF A SUDDEN MY LOW BEAM AND DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS QUIT WORKING ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. I NOTICED THIS WHEN I STARTED THE CAR IN THE MORNING AT MY HOME.
ALL OF A SUDDEN MY LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT QUIT WORKING. THEN A FEW DAYS LATER THE HIGH BEAM QUIT TOO. THIS IS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE.
I NOTICED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG LIGHT WOULD TOGGLE BETWEEN ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING. THE BUICK DEALER DIAGNOSTIC AND SCAN TEST REVEALED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE PRESSURE SENSOR FAILED. COST OF REPAIR IS $2,000.00 WITH NO SAFETY WARRANTY OPTIONS AVAILABLE TO OFFSET THE COST. NO OBVIOUS DAMAGE TO PRESSURE SENSOR OR PASSENGER SIDE SEAT CUSHION CONTAINING THE BLADDER AND PRESSURE SENSOR IN THE YEARS OF OWNING THIS CAR TO WARRANT FAILURE OF PRESSURE SENSOR. DUE TO ABSENCE OF REASON FOR THE FAILURE OF THE PASSENGER SIDE PRESSURE SENSOR, I AM CONCERNED ABOUT POTENTIAL FAULTY SAFETY SYSTEMS ON MY VEHICLE. A FAILURE PRESSURE SENSOR IN THE PASSENGER SIDE COULD MEAN THAT IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH THE AIRBAG DOES NOT DEPLOY PROPERLY EVEN WHEN THERE IS A PASSENGER SITTING THERE. THEREFORE, IT IS A SAFETY RISK AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, BUT SINCE IT HAS NOT BEEN DAMAGED DURING OWNERSHIP I AM LED TO SUSPECT THAT IT IS A FAULTY PRESSURE SENSOR.
THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IN ONE YEAR THAT MY HEADLIGHT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE HAS WENT OUT. I JUST REPLACED IT ABOUT 8 MONTHS AGO. I KNOW THIS BECAUSE I WAS PULLED OVER BY THE POLICE. I DO NOT DRIVE MY VEHICLE VERY MUCH . 82000 MILES AND IT IS 10 YEARS OLD. I KNOW THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON A PART FOR THE VERY SAME REASON I AM NOTIFYING YOU. I NEED THIS FIXED. I SUBMIT THIS COMPLAINT ON BEHALF OF MY SENIOR CITIZEN MOTHER WHO IS 75 YEARS OLD. MY MOM HAD A VERY SCARY EXPERIENCE & GOT LOCKED INSIDE OF HER BUICK CAR FOR OVER 1/2 HOUR & COULD NOT UNLOCK ANY OF 4 CAR DOORS FROM INSIDE TO ESCAPE OUT OF HER CAR. PLUS, KEY WOULD NOT TURN IN IGNITION & CAR WHEEL LOCKED UP. IT WAS WINTER SEASON !! CAR WAS STATIONERY. ALL CAR WINDOWS WERE ROLLED UP SO MY MOM COULD NOT GET ANY HEAT NOR FRESH AIR. MY MOM COULD HAVE FROZE TO DEATH INSIDE OF HER CAR !! MORE SCARY -- WE HAVE NO IDEA WHEN IT CAN HAPPEN AGAIN NOR HOW LONG THE NEXT LOCKOUT WILL LAST !! CLEARLY THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE !! ESPECIALLY FOR A SENIOR CITIZEN PERSON. WE ARE AMAZED THAT BUICK DID NOT YET ISSUE A RECALL FOR THIS TYPE OF INCIDENT. SOME PEOPLE CANNOT EVEN UNLOCK DRIVER CAR DOOR TO INTO GET INTO DRIVER'S SEAT !! THEY HAVE TO ENTER THEIR CARS THRU PASSENGER & CRAWL OVER TO PASSENGER CAR SEAT OR ENTER FROM BACKSEAT OF THE CAR !! OBVIOUSLY BUICK & GM NEVER DID ANYTHING YET ABOUT THIS SCARY & ANNOYING PROBLEM !! ON MARCH 16 2018 I OPENED A NEW CASE #8-4000469674 WITH BUICK CUSTOMER RELATIONS (BCR). THEY FLAGGED THIS AS A SAFETY ISSUE !! BCR SAID BUICK WILL ONLY WORK WITH A BUICK CAR DEALER ON THIS ISSUE IF MY MOM BRINGS HER CAR TO A BUICK CAR DEALER. SO WE MADE AN APPT FOR THIS MONDAY, APRIL 16 8:30AM AT FOX VALLEY BUICK (FVB) IN ST. CHARLES, IL TO GET HER BUICK CAR DIAGNOSED !! BCR WILL WORK WITH FVB & CEM (CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE MANAGER). CLEARLY -- THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE !! IN HOT HEAT OR WINTER COLD -- A PERSON CAN LITERALLY SUFFOCATE OR FREEZE BEING A TRAPPED PRISONER INSIDE OF THEIR CAR !!! 2 BCR REPS FAILED TO CALL ME BACK OVER 4 DAYS. ONE BCR REP WAS SUPERVISOR. PASSENGER PRESENCE SYSTEM MALFUNCTION. DIAGNOSED AS A FAULTY MAT/MODULE IN RIGHT FRONT SET CUSHION. VERY EXPENSIVE TO FIX. WHEN PASSENGER IS IN RIGHT FRONT SEAT AIR MAG MESSAGE ON. MALFUNCTION. VERY COMMON WITH THIS MODEL VEHICLE. THAT'S WHAT THE TECH SAID AT THE DEALERSHIP
FIRST ISSUE CAR WILL SHUT OFF DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY DOING 60 70 MILES AN HOUR IT WILL JUST SHUT OFF AND I HAVE TO COAST TO THE SIDE AND WAIT AND WAIT TILL IT STARTS AGAIN VERY DANGEROUS. NEXT ISSUE IS THE AIRBAG LIGHT FLASHES ON AND OFF I'M ASSUMING DO I DO TO A PRESSURE SENSOR IN THE PASSENGER SEAT WHICH I HAVE A DAUGHTER THAT SITS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND I DON'T KNOW IF THE AIRBAG IS WORKING OR NOT. NEXT PROBLEM ARE THE DOOR LOCKS THEY LOCK THEY DON'T LOCK THE LEFT REAR DOES NOT WORK I HAVE TO MANUALLY PULL IT UP AND PUSH IT DOWN IF I WANT IT LOCKED THE KEY FOB WARNING IS ALWAYS ON MY DASH SAYING KEY FOB BATTERY IS LOW I REPLACED IT I REPLACE THE KEY FOB ITSELF IT JUST WORKS WHEN IT WANTS TO. NEXT PROBLEM THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON GOES OFF COMES ON GOES OFF AND THEREFORE I CANNOT USE MY REMOTE START IF THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON IT HAS BEEN CHECKED THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR NOTHING SHOWS UP IF YOU CHECK THE GAUGES I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO I PAID A LOT OF MONEY FOR MY REMOTE START CANNOT USE IT AND I'M IN MINNESOTA. MY HEAD LIGHTS LOOKED MELTED LOW BEAM LIGHTS KEPT BLOWING OUT REPLACED LIGHT BULBS. YOU REPLACED THE MODULE ON RECALL LOW BEAM KEEP BLOWING OUT. REPLACED THE WHOLE CASING BOTH SIDES. THE LOW BEAM LIGHTS (BOTH) ARE OUT AGAIN. CAN'T DRIVE AT NIGHT. THIS I REPORTED BEFORE YOU REPLACED THE MODULE ON RECALL. I HAD DRIVEN TO THE STORE, WHEN I TRIED TO EXIT THE VEHICLE THE DRIVER'S DOOR WOULDN'T OPEN FROM THE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE. THE DRIVER'S DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR FAILED IN A WAY THAT PREVENTED THE DOOR FROM OPENING. I TRIED USING THE INNER AND OUTER HANDLES, I ALSO TRIED USING THE DOOR LOCK SWITCH AND THE MANUAL LOCK NOB. I HAD TO EXIT THE VEHICLE BY CRAWLING OVER THE CENTER CONSOLE TO USE THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO OPEN THE DRIVER'S DOOR THE NEXT DAY BY RAPIDLY LOCKING AND UNLOCKING THE DOOR USING THE MANUAL LOCK NOB A GOOD 30 TIMES. THE CAR IS A FOUR DOOR AND NONE OF THE AUTOMATIC LOCKS WORK. THE CAR ALSO HAS 99500 MILES. THE FACT THAT ALL FOUR LOCKS HAVE FAILED IS ONE THING, IT'S THE FACT THAT THEY CAN LEAVE YOU UNABLE TO USE YOUR DOOR IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT THAT IS THE MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD. FIXING JUST THE DRIVER'S DOOR IS COSTING ME $525.00 AT A LOCAL BUICK DEALERSHIP. A QUICK GOOGLE SEARCH REVEALED THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM ACROSS ALL GM W-BODY CARS FROM ABOUT 2006 TO 2009.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 BUICK LACROSSE. WHILE REVERSING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTING WAS NOT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS UNSURE IF THE HEADLAMPS WERE OPERABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS FAILED APPROXIMATELY ONE YEAR AGO WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V519000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING) AT KENDALL CHEVROLET OF EUGENE (846 GOODPASTURE ISLAND RD, EUGENE, OR 97401(855) 982-8922). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 89,900.

FIXED AND REPAIRED DECEMBER 30, 2016. 6/14/2017 WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. I HAVE RETURNED TO THE SHOP AND DISCUSSED WITH GM SERVICE CENTER THEY SAY NO SPECIAL NOTICE ABOUT THIS ISSUE BUT I SEE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE IN FORUMS ON LINE. ISSUE 2. THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH SPEED, WARNING INFO, RADIO LIGHT DIM FOR NO REASON. RED AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT APPEARS INTERMITTENTLY. DEALER IDENTIFIED A PROBLEM WITH THE SENSOR IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND REPLACED THE PART. THE SAME PROBLEM HAS SINCE REAPPEARED. THE LIGHT WILL TURN OFF WHEN THE PASSENGER SLIDES THE SEAT BACK AND FORTH OR UNFASTENS AND REFASTENS THE SEAT BELT. THIS PROBLEM CAN OCCUR AT ANY TIME AND DOES NOT REQUIRE THE VEHICLE TO BE IN MOTION NOR THE PRESENCE OF A PASSENGER. THE PROBLEM IS MORE LIKELY TO OCCUR IN WARMER WEATHER.

THEY ARE ENGAGED IN THE PROCESS OF MANUFACTURING VEHICLES THAT ARE PLACE INTO OPERATION ON OUR NATION'S HIGHWAYS. THEIR WORK DIRECTLY AFFECTS PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY AS MUCH, IF NOT MORE THAN THEIR LICENSED COLLEAGUES IN CONSULTING ENGINEERING. WHILE OPERATING MY VEHICLE SOUTHBOUND, AT A SPEED OF 60-65 MPH, AROUND THE 147 MILE-MARKER, THE REAR SPOILER DETACHES FROM MY VEHICLE CAUSING AT LEAST TWO TRAILING VEHICLES TO OPERATE THEIR VEHICLES ERRATICALLY IN AN AVOIDANCE MANEUVER. THE REAR SPOILER DETACHED AND SKIDDED TO A HALT ON THE LEFT SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY. I THEN SIGNALED TO THE LEFT SHOULDER TO STOP RETRIEVE THE DETACHED SPOILER. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AN EGREGIOUS OUTCOME.
MY 2008 BUICK WAS RECALLED BY BUICK FOR SAFETY RECALL 14291 AS INSTRUCTED I MADE AN APPOINT AT CENTRAL BUICK IN NORWOOD MA FOR 08:00 1/11/17 ON ARRIVAL THEY TOOK MY PAPERS AND DECIDED THEY COULDN'T DO THIS SAFETY RECALL ON THE HEADLIGHTS BECAUSE THE CAR HAD A "BRANDED TITLE". I BOUGHT THIS CAR 5 YEARS AGO AND IT DOES HAVE A RECONSTRUCTED TITLE IN MASS DUE TO A PRIOR ACCIDENT THAT WAS FIXED AND INSPECTED PRIOR TO MY BUYING THE CAR. I DON'T SEE WHY BUICK REFUSED TO REPLACE THIS RELAY. IT'S A SAFETY ISSUE WHEN THE HEADLIGHTS REFUSE TO WORK DUE TO THIS DEFECTIVE RELAY. THE BRAKES LOCKED UP IN TWO DIFFERENT SITUATIONS WHERE I WAS TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH. I HAD THE CAR'S BRAKING SYSTEM CHECKED AFTER THE FIRST TIME. I WAS TOLD THE BRAKING SYSTEM LOOKED FINE. THE FIRST INCIDENT I WAS ON THE FREEWAY IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC. THE SECOND TIME I WAS ON A BRIDGE OVER A HIGHWAY MAKING A LEFT TURN AND WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 10 MPH. BOTH TIMES TRAFFIC STOPPED IN FRONT OF ME AND I APPLIED THE BRAKES AND ALL FOUR WHEELS LOCKED UP AND I SLID INTO THE CARS IN FRONT OF MINE. THE FAILURE HAPPENS EVERY TIME I DRIVE MY CAR WITH OR WITHOUT SOMEONE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. THIS EXPOSES THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER TO DANGER AS NO AIRBAG PROTECTION IS AFFORDED TO THEM WHEN THE LIGHT IS ON. I BROUGHT THE CAR TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS, THEY SAID A PART MAY BE NEEDED THAT COSTS ABOUT $1,000 TO REPLACE. WHILE STATIONARY OR IN MOTION THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT DOOR WILL NOT UNLOCK WITH KEY FOB, UNLOCK BUTTON ON DOOR PANEL, OR BY HAND. ALL THREE METHODS HAVE BEEN ATTEMPTED TO UNLOCK THE DOOR AND THEY HAVE BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL.

I HAD A 6 PACK OF BEER SITTING ON MY PASSENGER SEAT AND MY "AIRBAG" MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT BECAME ILLUMINATED. SO I REMOVED THE 6 PACK OF BEER FROM MY SEAT HOWEVER, THE AIRBAG LIGHT STAYED ILLUMINATED. THIS HAPPENED AFTER 5PM SO I HAVE YET TO CONTACT MY DEALER AS THEIR SERVICE CLOSES AT 5PM. THE CAR WAS SITTING IN THE PARKING LOT WHEN THIS OCCURRED. I FOUND FROM "GOOGLING" THIS ISSUE THAT THIS IS A COMMON FAULT IN 2008 BUICK LACROSSE MODELS.
