WHILE DRIVING AT 25-30 MPH CONSUMER WENT INTO A SLIGHT SKID AND RAN INTO BARRIERS ON THE SIDE OF DOOR, AND FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. UPON IMPACT, FRONT AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *AK
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 BUICK REGAL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE KEY BECAME LODGED IN THE IGNITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 125,000.

INTERMITTENT PROBLEM WITH BRAKE FAILURE. WHEN APPLYING BRAKES A GRINDING SOUND WOULD COME FROM FRONT WHEELS, AND VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP. VEHICLE IN DEALER SHOP ON ONE OCCASION, AND PROBLEM STILLOCCURRING. PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS ON THIS MATTER. *AK
A TRUCK HIT CONSUMER'S VEHICLE AT 35 TO 40 MPH, AND NONE OF AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. CAR HAD BEEN TO DEALER THREE TIMES FOR SEVERE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. *AK
AIRBAG LIGHT ON DASHBOARD COMES ON AND OFF INTERMITTENTLY. STAYS ON FOR A FEW DAYS AND THEN GOES OFF. I HAVE READ THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBELM IN DEC 2000. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM THE DEALER. CROWLEY BUICK LOCATED IN BRISTOL, CT OR GM. I PURCHASED THE CAR NEW IN JULY 2000. *AK
BRAKE PEDAL SLOWLY DECENDS ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR WHEN APPLING BRAKES. IN NORMAL BRAKING A SMALL TAP WOULD MAKE THE BRAKES REACT AND THE PEDAL STAYED FIRM AND WOULD NOT SLOWLY DECEND TO FLOOR. I TOOK IT INTO SUDBAY (THE PROBLEM OCCURED THE WHOLE HALF HOUR DRIVE). WHEN I GOT THERE, THE BRAKES WERE AGAIN FUNCTIONING NORMALLY AND DID SO ALL THE WAY TO WORK (15 MINUTES). WHEN I LEFT WORK THIS EVENING, IT WAS ACTING UP AGAIN. *AK
CONSUMER COMPLAINED THAT WINDSHIELD WIPERS FAILED TO OPERATE MAJORITY OF THE TIME, THEY WORKED ONLY ON RANDOM BASIS. CONSUMER HAS TAKEN VEHICLE TO DEALER/MECHANIC AND HAS BEEN TOLD THAT IT COULD BE ONE OF NINE PARTS, BUT THEY COULD NOT SEE A REASON FOR ERRATIC OPERATION. *AK CONSUMER STATES THAT ON ONE OCCASION WIPERS FAILED FOR APPROXIMATELY 10 MILES WHILE DRIVING IN HEAVY SNOW. *SLC

THE LEFT TURN SIGNAL FAILED TO WORK RELIABLY. EVENTUALLY, IT DID NOT WORK AT ALL. CAR WAS SERVICED BY TWO DEALERS UNDER WARRENTY. IT TOOK FOUR VISTS TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. A CONTROL COMPUTER WAS REPLACED. APPARENTLY THIS REPAIR CAUSED MY AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT TO SHINE. AT THIS TIME I DO NOT KNOW IF MY AIR BAGS WILL WORK IN A CRASH OR IF THEY WILL GO OFF UNEXPECTEDLY. CAR MANUAL STATES THAT EITHER SCENARIO MAY OCCUR. DEALER SERVICE TECHNICIAN STATES THAT IT WILL NOT DEPLOY UNEXPECTEDLY.

2000 BUICK REGAL RECALL ENGINE OIL FIRE. CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL THAT STATED THAT OIL THAT LEAKS ONTO THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD COULD CAUSE A FIRE. DEALER TOLD HIM THEY DID NOT KNOW OF THIS RECALL AND IT WASN'T IN THERE COMPUTER. *KB
2000 BUICK REGAL WAS A TOTAL LOSS DUE TO AN ENGINE FIRE. *NJ THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THE VEHICLE HAD AN OIL LEAK, BUT WHEN HE CONTACTED ANOTHER REPAIR FACILITY, HE WAS TOLD A THOROUGH INSPECTION HAD BEEN DONE AND THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. SEVERAL MONTHS LATER, THE CONSUMER NEEDED A SMOG CERTIFICATE TO REGISTER HIS VEHICLE, HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE REPAIR SHOP AND LEFT IT. A FEW DAYS LATER HE RECEIVED A CALL TELLING HIM TO COME TO THE SHOP. WHEN THE CONSUMER ARRIVED THERE WERE BURN MARKS ON THE HOOD OF HIS VEHICLE. THE SHOP INFORMED HIM WHEN THEY PERFORMED THE SMOG TEST A FIRE BROKE OUT UNDER THE HOOD AND THEY STATED THE VEHICLE WAS A TOTAL LOSS. THE CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE 1 YEAR AFTER THE FIRE. *JB
THE DRIVERS SIDE REARVIEW MIRROR IS SMALLER THAN THE PASSENGER SIDE MIRROR, THIS DIFFERENCE DECREASES THE VIEWING AREA AND INCREASES THE BLIND SPOT MAKING LANE CHANGES DIFFICULT. NLM
WHILE TRAVELING AT 20 MPH AND WHEN TRYING TO AVOID ANOTHER VEHICLE CONSUMER FRONT TIRE RAN INTO CURVE, CAUSING FRONTAL AIR BAGS TO DEPLOY WITHOUT ANY INDICATION. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
SEVERE BRAKE ROTOR DISTORTION (ALL FOUR WHEELS). RESURFACE OF ROTORS FAILED TO CORRECT. DEALER REPLACED ALL FOUR ROTORS AND ALL BRAKE LININGS AT 23,000 MILES. ABS SYSTEM ALSO ACTIVATED WITHOUT CAUSE WHEN GOING OVER BUMPS. DEALER RELOCATED WIRING AWAY FROM WHEEL/AXLE ASSEMBLY. *AK

SEVERE RATTLE FROM FRONT OF VEHICLE AT LOW SPEEDS, 20-30 MPH OVER WASHBOARD SURFACES. DEALER REPLACED LEFT FRONT HUB BUT STILL OCCURS. IN REGARDS TO THE A/C, GROANING FROM A/C ON AND OFF WHILE CAR IS RUNNING. DEALER REPLACED COMPRESSOR BUT STILL HAPPENS DAILY.
