My driver side air bag notification keeps coming on. On and off, while I'm driving. My electrical system is odd. I can not charge any devices and my screen will turn off while I'm driving. I'm giving today's date, but this is an ongoing problem for at least a year.
The contact owns a 2013 Buick Verano. The contact stated that while the vehicle was off on an inclined driveway, the vehicle rolled away. The contact had accidentally not shifted out of the drive gear position. The contact was able to jump back in the vehicle where he pressed the brake pedal and shifted into the park position. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was examined, but not diagnosed. The contact was advised that all Buick vehicles perform the same action while in drive on an incline. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.
Vehicle is consuming oil at an excessive rate (with still less than 70000 miles on the odometer) and I have had to keep a close watch on the levels. It is burning a quart right now about every 1400 miles and the problem is only likely to get worse with time. This could cause the engine to fail or catch fire while operating the vehicle, which is quite dangerous, especially at interstate speeds or on mountain roads. Buick has not issued a recall, and yet there is a service bulletin dating from 2016 (Bulletin No.: 13-06-01-003H). I have also read many complaints from other Verano owners about this problem. An engine is one of the most expensive parts of any vehicle, and if Buick will not voluntarily recall this model year to make the needed repairs, the NTSB ought to take a hand in getting a recall of affected vehicles. I don't want to risk my life on the road if this engine fails while the vehicle is in operation.
I think my car has a faulty ignition. When I turn my car off with key in ignition, my car starts on it's own.
In checking, my oil found that the oil was low but I’ve had no leaks concerned about where the oil is going and the oil consumption. I change my oil about twice a year. The car only has 45,000 miles on it..
My Buick Verano keeps running out of oil despite consistent oil changes. It ran out of oil, 3000 miles before my next oil change was due. There are many reports online of other owners of the same vehicle having the same issue. Recently, my car cut off in the middle of the street Without any warning due to no oil in the engine. The low oil warning light never came on. This is the second time that this has occurred. The first time the mechanic just said it was low on oil. Now my car will not restart. Again my next oil change was not due for another 3000 miles.
The PCV orifice that is located inside the intake manifold is known to clog due to a manufacture defect, which then produces high pressure inside the crankcase. The pressure then forces high amounts of oil through the valve cover orifice into the intake breather box. The oil then fills up inside and get into the engine air filter and throttle body. The high amounts of oil being sucked into the intake will leave the engine running with zero oil, thousands of miles before a oil change is due. This would obviously destroy the engine if oil is not added regularly. There is also a high risk of the rear main seal blowing due to the high pressurization of the crankcase. This is a very known defect and without a question, needs to be issued as a recall.
The contact owns a 2013 Buick Verano. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, there was a knocking sound coming from the engine. Upon inspection, it was the discovered that the engine oil level was extremely low, although the oil had recently been changed. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The manufacturer was not contacted. The contact stated that there was an unknown TSB to address the failure. The failure mileage was 70,000.
The car power steering locked and stopped working while driving on the freeway, this incident put at risk myself and my children safety. After exiting the freeway the steering wheel stopped working again. this is a known issue as the car steering power was not recalled but the issue was acknowledged but GM. The car is a safety hazard for the person who drive it and the public.
Power steering an steering wheel locks, Once this happens the car becomes a safety hazard, first time it happened two children were in the car and seconds from an accident on the freeway. Exited the freeway and car steering wheel failed again this time stopped working completely putting my children’s life in danger.
2.4L LEA engine is burning an excessive ammount of oil. Roughly 2L of oil has been burnt within a week. Upon contacting a dealer about the issue, the issue is known and has been recalled for other GM makes of the same year with the same engine model. The engine will start knocking and then stop running, no matter if the vehicle is driving.
The contact owns a 2013 Buick Verano. The contact stated while driving at 25-30 MPH, the shift lock release button mounted on the gear shifter fractured and she was unable to shift into park (P). The contact drove to the nearest independent mechanic and maintained the brake pedal depressed in order to keep the vehicle idle. The contact stated that she was also able to shift into neutral. The independent mechanic diagnosed that the gear shifter needed to be replaced. The contact provided the contact with a tool to depress the remaining part of the shift lock release button in order to park the vehicle. Upon arriving to her residence, the contact utilized the tool to park the vehicle. The contact contacted a tow company to tow the vehicle to the dealer. The tow agent was able to pull the remaining part of the shift lock release button out. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
Started having the radio blank out and then steering wheel would lose power while driving. Service stability track error comes on. Took in for diagnostic and was told rear control module was bad. After 1500 to 1800.00 in repairs still had the same issues within 7 days. I've contacted dealership and general motor. I'm afraid my car will lose power while on highway
I purchased this used vehicle in March 2022 $8500 cash. I have had problems with oil consumption since I purchased. The car stalls and turns off when the oil is low. I am literally putting a quart of oil in the car every 40-50 miles. I have 6 children to get to school and I also work. At this time I can't afford another vehicle so I'm hoping that others come forth so this car can be recalled or fixed. Life is hard enough

The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 MPH, an unknown message was displayed on the instrument panel, and the vehicle decelerated to 15 MPH, lost motive power, and stalled. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the engine timing chain had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. An unknown dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 125,000
Airbag system failure and warning constantly on the vehicle. GM knows of the issue but will not offer a recall, instead only an expired special coverage adjustment. The part involved is the passenger present sensor (PPS)module. That reference number is : N15202352 Release date November 2016. Airbags on Buick veranos will not deploy with this well known issue. Gms own words. Force a recall, my family could die in this car.
2013 Buick Verano engine ceased after excessive oil consumption (which was NOT indicated by the oil light). Multiple lawsuits have been filed for cars with the SAME engine, but my specific car has not been included - and GM shut down my car-specific lawsuits due to "design" flaws that they don't take credit for. NO warning signs, and my car stopped in the middle of the road, putting my safety at risk. Oil change notification DID NOT work, and oil light did not come on at all. In addition, a "service passenger airbag" light comes on whenever anyone sits in the passenger seat (I have seen recalls regarding this as well, but are not specific to my car). Very disappointed.
Check airbag warning light comes on, when someone is in passenger seat. Air bag light is off. When the passenger seat is empty the air bag light is on and the fasten seatbelt light flashes and chimes. I feel this is a safety issue and should be addressed.
The contact owns a 2013 Buick Verano. The contact stated that while driving at 60-65 MPH, the vehicle lost all power with no warning. The contact was able to restart the vehicle after a minute. The vehicle was not taken an independent mechanic or dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that prior to the failure, the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic due to the fact that there were abnormal noises coming from the engine compartment. The contact stated that she was informed that the camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor, timing cover set, timing chain kit, and valve cover gasket needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired and an oil change was completed. The contact stated that the vehicle had lost motive and electrical power several times while driving. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact stated that she researched the failure online and discovered that there was an issue with the 2013 Buick Verano. The approximate failure mileage was unknown.
PAINT ON HOOD, TOP, AND TRUNK LID FADING OFF. CAR WAS MANUFACTURED IN LAKE ORION MICHIGAN. HEARD MANY OF THE SAME COMPLAINTS FROM THIS SAME ASSEMBLY PLANT. IS THERE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT ON THIS MATTER, VERY ANGRY AND CONCERNED.
ON 10/6/2020, I WAS RIDING AS THE FRONT PASSENGER IN OUR 2013 BUICK VERANO. WE WERE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY (70 MPH) AND HIT A BUMP AT THE START OF A BRIDGE. A WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED, THE ENGINE RPM SUDDENLY INCREASED AS IF THE TRANSMISSION DOWNSHIFTED, THE CAR DECELERATED AND MY WIFE PULLED TO THE SHOULDER. WE STOPPED, CHECKED THE GEAR SHIFT AND IT WAS STILL IN DRIVE, THE WARNING LIGHT DISAPPEARED, AND EVERYTHING SEEMED NORMAL.

MAKING A LEFT HAND TURN, WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON, STABILITRAK LIGHT CAME ON, MIDDLE CONSOLE WENT OUT AND YANKED THE ENTIRE CAR TO THE RIGHT. LUCKILY BOTH HANDS WERE ON THE WHEEL AND NO CARS IN THE LANE TO THE RIGHT, WAS ABLE TO KEEP THE CAR IN THE LANE BARELY. STOPPED AT THE CAR WASH, FELT THE CAR JUMP A BIT. DROVE ANOTHER 3 MINUTES HOME AND AS I WAS BACKING INTO THE MY PARKING SPOT MY MIDDLE CONSOLE WENT OUT AND CAME BACK ON SEVERAL TIMES WITH APPROX 4 SEC DELAYS BEING OFF, CARS POWER STEERING WAS OFF AND ON CONSTANTLY, TRYING TO TURN THE WHEEL TO THE LEFT TO PULL FORWARD A LITTLE THE CAR KEPT JERKING FORWARD AS I KEPT TRYING TO TURN LEFT BUT THE WHEEL KEPT ACTING LIKE IT WAS HITTING A WALL, THE STABILITRAK LIGHT KEPT FLASHING. TRYING TO TURN IT RIGHT AND BACK UP THE MIDDLE CONSOLE KEPT FLASHING AND THE WHEEL KEPT JERKING. FINALLY GOT THE CAR PARKED AND THE NEIGHBOR HEARD ME ON THE PHONE AND STEPPED OUT TO ASK IF I WAS OK, WHEN I WAS TRYING TO PARK SHE HEARD A HUGE CRASH AT THAT TIME AND THOUGHT IT WAS AN ACCIDENT OF SOME SORT. TODAY WAS THE FIRST DAY FOR ALL OF THIS. THE MIDDLE CONSOLE HAS BEEN FLASHING ON AND OFF FOR A FEW MONTHS AND THE STABILITRAK LIGHT STARTED COMING ON LAST WEEKEND. *TR
SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR IT CONSUMES AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF OIL, IT MAKES IT CLICKING NOISE IF IT GETS SLOW TALK TO THE DEALERSHIP AT LEAST TWICE AND WAS TOLD THAT THIS IS JUST WHAT THESE ENGINES SOUND LIKE AFTER DOING RESEARCH I'VE NOTICED THAT THERE ARE MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE, NOW I'M HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE CAR JUST SHUTTING OFF ESPECIALLY IF I AM COMING TO A STOP OR AT A RED LIGHT, TODAY I WAS MAKING A LEFT OVER A FOUR-LANE HIGHWAY TO GET ONTO MY ROAD THE CAR JUST SHUT OFF AND I ALMOST GOT KEEP ON BUYING AN ONCOMING CAR BECAUSE IT STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD, AFTER DOING SOME ONLINE SEARCHING THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM APPARENTLY, IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND DEALERSHIP TOLD ME NOTHING THEY CAN DO UNLESS I WANT TO PAY FOR IT, THERE'S 54,000 MI ON THE CAR SO THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING, WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR THEY TOLD ME THAT THE ENGINE IS SUPPOSED TO SOUND LIKE THAT EVEN THOUGH MY GUT TOLD ME OTHERWISE BUT HEY THEY ARE THE PROS RIGHT, ALSO THE FIRST TIME I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY TOLD ME THAT THE EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION WAS NOT A PROBLEM, JUST TO KEEP AN EYE ON IT AND TOP IT OFF IF IT GETS LOW...WHAT'S COMPLETELY CONTRADICTS WHAT THEY TOLD ME WHEN I BOUGHT IT BECAUSE THEY TOLD ME BECAUSE IT'S FULL SYNTHETIC THAT I WOULD NOT HAVE OFTEN, ME ALMOST GETTING T-BONED BECAUSE MY CAR OWED IS IN MY OPINION A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN AND THE MANUFACTURER OF THIS CAR IGNORING THE PROBLEM IS GOING TO CAUSE SOMEBODY TO GET KILLED
FIRST, MY CAR WOULD HESITATE WHEN GOING UP MY DRIVEWAY AND I HAD TO GIVE IT THE GAS SO IT WOULDN'T STOP ON ME. THEN, MY CAR WOULD STOP ON ME AS I WAS DRIVING AT SLOW SPEEDS OR EVEN STOPPED AT RED LIGHTS. I ALMOST GOT HIT SEVERAL TIMES FROM BEHIND DUE TO THIS. THEN, I NOTICED THAT WHEN MY OIL WAS AT 50% I WOULD HAVE TO ADD OIL AND IT WOULD FIX THE ISSUE UNTIL MY OIL LEVEL GOT LOW AGAIN. I WENT FROM CHANGING MY OIL EVERY 5,000 MILES AS TOLD BY THE SALES PERSON TO EVERY 3,000 MILES TO WHAT SEEMED LIKE EVERY 1,500 MILES. THE LAST INCIDENT WAS WHEN I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK ON A MAIN HIGHWAY AND MY CAR JUST KILLED ON ME. I WAS ABLE TO COAST TO THE SHOULDER BUT HAD TO BE TOWED HOME. WHILE ALL OF THIS WAS GOING ON I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED IT ALONG WITH OTHER PARTS STORES AND HAD THEM RUN THE MACHINE TEST ON IT AND I WOULD NEVER GET A CODE. MY WIFE HAS BEEN DOING SOME RESEARCH AND IT WAS BROUGHT TO HER ATTENTION THAT GM KNOWS ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND THERE IS A COMPANY WHAT CAN GIVE US A NEW ENGINE FOR $5,000 AND THEN THEY MAKE A CLAIM AND GM BUYS THE OLD MOTOR FROM THE COMPANY. I WOULD BE NICE IF GM WOULD PAY FOR A NEW MOTOR FOR EVERYONE THAT TRUSTED IN THEIR VEHICLES. THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT CHEAP AND THERE IS NO WAY ANYONE SHOULD HAVE THIS TYPE OF ISSUE AND GM NOT BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR DEFECTED MOTORS THAT THEY ARE AWARE OF. I NOW HAVE A BROKEN CAR THAT JUST SITS AND I HAVE TO MAKE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS TO GET TO AND FROM WORK UNTIL I CAN FIX MY CAR WHICH IS BUY A NEW ENGINE. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A GM PERSON BUT LOOKS LIKE I WILL HAVE TO START TO LOOK OTHER PLACES. THE SAD PART IS I LIKE MY CAR AND OTHER THAN THE ENGINE I HAVE HAD NO OTHER MAJOR ISSUES. *TR
2013 BUICK VERANO. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE STOPPING SUDDENLY. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THE FIRST TIME THE FAILURE OCCURRED, THE DISPLAY REQUIRED THE WINDOW TO BE ROLLED DOWN THEN BACK UP, THE VEHICLE BEGAN WORKING. THE SECOND TIME THE ALONG WITH THE WINDOW INSTRUCTION, THE POWER STEERING NEEDED SERVICING. *JS
THE CAR STARTED BURNING OIL AT A RATE OF 1 QUART EVERY 1,000 MILES AT 86,000 MILES AND SO I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED IT NEW AND ALSO HAD IT DO ALL OF THE ROUTINE MAINTENANCE AS WELL. THIS WAS AT MIKE JUNEAU BROOKFIELD GMC BUICK AND THEY TOLD ME TO BRING IT IN EVERYTIME IT GOT A QUART LOW AND THAT THERE WAS NO CONCERN WITH ME CONTINUING TO DRIVE IT AS LONG AS I MONITORED THE OIL. THE TIMING CHAIN BROKE WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH AND RUINED THE ENTIRE ENGINE 4 MONTHS LATER AT 91,000 MILES. THIS IS A KNOWN COMMON ISSUE WITH THESE GM ENGINES AND I BELEIVE SOME ARE EVEN RECALLED WHEN IN CHEVY VEHICLES. THE DEALERSHIP AND MANUFACTURER HAVE ACKNOWLEDGED THE PROBLEM.
EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION PROBLEM. I OWN A 2013 BUICK VERANO WITH A 2.4L ENGINE, APPROXIMATELY 100,000 MILES. WE HAVE RECENTLY NOTICED WHEN CHECKING THE OIL IN-BETWEEN OIL CHANGES THAT THERE WAS NO OIL ON THE DIPSTICK. E.G.., AT 40 OR 50% LIFE LEFT FOR OIL CHANGE, THERE WAS NO OIL ON THE DIPSTICK. IN THE PAST THE CAR HAS NEVER USED OR LEAKED A DROP OF OIL. IN DOING SOME ADDITIONAL RESEARCH, THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH OTHER BUICK'S WITH THE SAME ENGINE.. BUICK HAS ACKNOWLEDGED THIS ISSUE WITH OTHER SIMILAR BUICK VEHICLES WITH THE SAME ENGINE BY ISSUING A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN 13-06-01-003H FOR OTHER MODELS OF BUICKS WITH THE DETAILS ON HOW TO REBUILD THE ENGINE AND FIX THE PROBLEM. WE CALLED THE BUICK DEALER AND THEY INDICATED THERE IS NO RECALL FOR THE VERANO BUT RECOGNIZE IT IS A PROBLEM WITH THE CAR.
THE 2013 BUICK VERANO IN QUESTION HAS 52K MILES. AT A STOP LIGHT, WHEN THE GAS WAS PUSHED TO ACCELERATE, THE CAR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT LIT AND THEN SUDDENLY SHIFTED INTO REVERSE AND WOULD NOT COME OUT. AFTER TRYING TO CHANGE THE TRANSMISSION SETTING SEVERAL TIMES, THE DRIVER TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF, AND RESTARTED, THE TRANSMISSION WORKED AT THAT POINT. THE DEALERSHIP INDICATED THEY HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS ISSUE BEFORE. THEY RECOMMENDED CLEARING CODES FOR INTAKE AND EXHAUST CAM SOLENOIDS BY REPLACING THEM AND UPDATING SOFTWARE. THESE WERE DONE AND WE HOPE THAT TAKES CARE OF THE PROBLEM. THIS WAS A SERIOUS SYSTEM FAILURE AND FORTUNATELY OCCURRED IN A LOCATION WHICH WAS NOT AS DANGEROUS AS IT COULD HAVE BEEN.
My passenger air bag module is faulty, when an individual is in the car, the module doesn't sense the passenger. So there is no airbag and I was told that it's possible in an accident that the airbag would not go off. I paid $600 to get a diagnostic, from Marvin K and Brown dealership. They reported back to me that the module was at fault. My vehicle is out of warranty. The service airbag notification has been continuously popping up on and off.
PURCHASED THE CAR USED FROM A REPUTABLE BUICK DEALER WITH 84K MILES ON IT. 7 DAYS LATER, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK. I IMMEDIATELY BROUGHT THE CAR HOME TO PREVENT FURTHER MECHANICAL PROBLEMS AND NOTICED THAT WHEN I PUT THE CAR INTO PARK, THE TRANSMISSION FELT LIKE IT DROPPED AND IT WAS HARD TO SHIFT. I TURNED THE CAR OFF, LET IT REST, AND THEN TURNED IT BACK ON. THIS TIME, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN. I TRIED SHIFTING THE CAR INTO REVERSE AND THE "R" LIGHT ON MY DASH BEGAN TO FLASH. I PUT IT INTO DRIVE AND THE "D" BEGAN TO FLASH. I TRIED TO MOVE THE CAR FORWARD AND THE CAR HAD ALMOST NOW POWER. EACH SHIFT MADE THE TRANSMISSION FEEL AS THOUGH IT WAS DROPPING AND IT MADE A VERY LOUD NOISE. I HAD THE CAR TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT IT IS THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE ($1100). THIS HAPPENED JJUST 7 DAYS AFTER PURCHASING IT, AND LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AFTER BEING INSPECTED BY THE DEALER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 BUICK VERANO. WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, THE 2013 BUICK VERANO LOST POWER, DOORS WOULD UNLOCK, THEN POWER WOULD COME BACK ON AND DOORS WOULD LOCK. THIS WOULD HAPPEN REPEATEDLY, IN ADDITION, THE WRENCH ICON ILLUMINATED AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO NEWBY BUICK GMC (435-673-1100, LOCATED AT 1629 S CONVENTION CENTER DR, ST. GEORGE, UT 84790), BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SAME DEALER, BUT THEY DID DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE AND WAS ELECTRICAL. ISSUES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 35,500. *TT CONSUMER STATED VEHICLE WAS TRADED IN ON 5/7/19*JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 BUICK VERANO. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS LOSING OIL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JACK WINEGARDNER CHEVROLET (11001 INDIAN HEAD HWY, FORT WASHINGTON, MD 20744) WHERE AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST WAS PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE PERSISTED, WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO SHUT DOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS METAL IN THE OIL THAT MAY CAUSE THE ENGINE TO SHUT DOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,130.
THE KEY HAS GOTTEN STUCK IN THE IGNITION SEVERAL TIMES. THIS PREVENTS THE CAR FROM MOVING AND TURNING OFF COMPLETELY. AT ONE POINT THE CAR BEGAN TO ROLL AS I WAS ATTEMPTING TO GET OUT TO GET ASSISTANCE. I WAS EVENTUALLY ABLE TO GO ONTO YOUTUBE AND DISCOVERED THE ISSUE WAS CONSISTENT WITH THE CHEVY MALIBU, SO I USED THE SAME TECHNIQUE DESCRIBED IN THE YOUTUBE VIDEO TO REMOVE THE KEY. THE SAME ISSUE OCCURRED ON THE EVENING ON FEBRUARY 21, 2019. THE VALET SUPERVISOR WENT TO RETRIEVE MY CAR AND WAS UNABLE TO REMOVE THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION AND THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE INTO THE PARK GEAR. I WOULD MOVE INTO DRIVE, NEUTRAL AND REVERSE BUT NOT PARK. I BELIEVE MY CAR IS ALSO IMPACTED UNDER THE FOLLOWING RECALL NUMBER:50490 AND 50491. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS.
MY 2013 BUICK VERANO HAS BEEN ACTING WEIRD FOR ABOUT A MONTH NOW. I FIRST NOTICED IT BECAUSE THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON ONE DAY ON MY WAY TO WORK AND WHEN I LEFT WORK IT WAS OFF. MAYBE TWO DAYS LATER WHEN I STARTED MY CAR AND PULLED OF IT JUST TURNED OFF. SO I STARTED IT AGAIN(STARTS UP FINE) AND I PUT IN TO DRIVE AND ONCE I PULL OFF IT TURNED OFF. IT DID ABOUT 4 TIMES BEFORE THE CAR WOULD RUN NORMALLY. THIS HAPPEN TWICE IN THE FIRST WEEK, AND THEN IT WAS EVERYDAY SINCE THEN. I DID NOTICE THAT IT WAS STRUGGLING TO GET IT OUT OF FIRST GEAR ABOUT THE THIRD WEEK. ALSO WHEN I WAS ON MY WAY TO THE STORE AND I STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT AND WHEN IT TURNED GREEN AND I TRIED TO ACCELERATE IT JUST TURNED OFF. BUT AFTER THAT RODE FINE. AFTER THAT INCIDENT I NOTICED YESTERDAY THAT EVERYTIME I STOP NOW THE CAR WILL TURN OFF AND ALSO IF I GO ANYTHING OVER 35MPH THE CAR JERKS AS IF IT WANTS TO STOP. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE. ALSO THE ENGINE LIGHTS COMES ON AND OFF. AND I DID GOOGLE TO SEE IF ANYONE ELSE HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM SO I CAN SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD POSSIBLY BE AND FOUND THAT MANY PEOPLE WITH THIS SAME YEAR MAKE AND MODEL OF CAR HAVE THIS ISSUE. I ALSO READ THAT THEY HAD RECALLS FOR THIS SAME YEAR MAKE AND MODEL TWO MONTHS AFTER I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE BUT NEVER RECEIVED A LETTER OF NOTICE, MAYBE BECAUSE IT WASN'T FOR MY VIN. BUT WITH AN UNSAFE VEHICLE ISSUE SUCH AS THIS, SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE.
I TURNED MY CAR ON AND HAD BOTH THE FRONT AND REAR DEFROST. I SMELLED SOMETHING FUNNY, SO I TURNED THE CAR OFF TO INVESTIGATE. I DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING SO TURNED THE CAR BACK ON AND PULLED BACK INTO THE DRIVEWAY AND TURNED IT OFF. WITHIN A MINUTE OR TWO, THE ENTIRE BACK DRIVER- SIDE DOOR WAS IN FLAMES. I HAD TO USE A FIRE EXTINGUISHER TO GET RID OF THE FIRE. WHEN THE MECHANIC LOOKED AT IT, HE SAID HE HAD NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT AND GUESSED IT MAY HAVE BEEN THE CIRCUIT TO THE DEFROSTER AND IF I HAD NOT OF GOTTEN OUT OF THE CAR AND TURNED IT OFF, I COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED OR DIED BECAUSE THE CAR CAUGHT SO QUICKLY.
MY VEHICLE STARTS JERKING WHEN I GET OFF EXPRESSWAY. OR AT RED LIGHT OR CONJESTED TRAFFIC. CAR HAS NO CODE BEEN ON AT LEAST 7 MACHINE NO CODE BUICK CANT FIND THE PROBLEM.
HEAD GASKET, PISTON KIT, SEAL, FOD BOLT, VALVE COVER, SEALER, AND COOLANT / CAR WAS NOT IN MOTION DURING THE TIME OF DISCOVERY
CAR HAS LESS THAN 40K MILES. NOTICED WHAT SEEMED TO BE VERY SMALL SCRATCHES ON TOP SURFACES OF VEHICLE. UPON CLOSER INSPECTION, LOOKS LIKE THE PAINT IS FADING DOWN TO BARE METAL. THE FADING PAINT IS HARD TO NOTICE AND RECOGNIZE, BUT AFTER WASHING YOU CAN SEE THE DULL AREAS EASILY. NOTICED PROBLEM ON HOOD 2 YEARS AGO, PAID $1900 TO HAVE IT REPAINTED BEFORE REALIZING THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE. GM BODY SHOP SAID THE PAINT IS "CHECKING". CAUSED BY IMPROPER OEM APPLICATION. SINCE CAR IS 5 YEARS OLD, NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. $2900 TO REPAIR!!
RADIO SHUTS OFF FOR NO REASON AND COME BACK ON EITHER DRIVING OR IN PARK AND THE PROBLEM WITH THE TURN SIGNAL SOMETIMES
WARNING LIGHT COME ON AND AND THE CAR WON'T START. I JUST PARK FOR A DAY OR SO, THAN IT STARTS UP LIKE NOTHING IS WRONG WITH IT.
INTERMITTENT WARNING ON INFORMATION DASHBOARD TO SERVICE AIRBAG. DEALERSHIP WOULD NOT SERVICE WARNING UNLESS IT WAS ACTIVE, BUT DUE TO INTERMITTENCY IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO BRING IN AN ACTIVE ALARM. ALARM COMES IN AT DIFFERENT TIMES AND DOES NOT SEEM TO BE RELATED TO ANY SPECIFIC SET OF CONDITIONS. ALARM SIMPLY STATES TO SERVICE AIRBAG. THE ALARM HAS COME IN NUMEROUS TIMES. THE DATE ENTERED BELOW IS THE MOST RECENT OCCURRENCE OF THE ALARM, BUT HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED. I THINK THAT THIS IS RELATED TO A RECALL REGARDING THE AIRBAG CONNECTION ON THE BUICK VERANOS, BUT OUR SPECIFIC CAR WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE PART NEEDED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WAS DISCONTINUED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,000.

THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT ONSTAR FAILED TO ALERT. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED FRACTURED RIB AND KNEE INJURIES ALONG WITH A SHOULDER INJURY THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. A UNKNOWN DEALER WAS LATER NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE WHEN INTERESTED IN THE PURCHASE OF A NEW VEHICLE. BOTH THE VEHICLES INVOLVED IN THE COLLISON WERE DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MATTHEWS AUTO GROUP (3721 OLD VESTAL RD, VESTAL, NY 13850) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BLIND SPOT SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE SENSOR FAILURE MAY HAVE AFFECTED THE SUN ROOF. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND OFFERED A DISCOUNT FOR THE BLIND SPOT SENSOR REPLACEMENT COST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 55,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.

I CAME TO A STOPLIGHT AND MY CAR DIED. IT WAS TOWED TO CARMAX SERVICE AND AFTER A WEEK THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND FIX THE ISSUE. 3.) WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET THE EPB SERVICE LIGHT STARTED FLASHING IN MY CAR JERKED FORWARD I WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. 4.) I WAS MERGING ONTO THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE POWER SYSTEM LIGHT TURNED ON AND MY DOORS STARTED LOCKING AND UNLOCKING ON ITS OWN. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AND TURNED OFF. AFTER ABOUT FOUR MINUTES IT TURNED BACK ON AND DROVE FINE BUT BUICK DEALER COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM. DEALER HAD THE CAR FOR 10DAYS.
PERIODICALLY THE DRIVER 'SERVICE AIR BAG' LIGHT COMES ON FOR NO REASON. IT ONLY STAYS ON FOR A FEW MOMENTS UP TO A FEW MINUTES. SOMETIMES WHEN I HONK THE HORN THE LIGHT GOES OFF. TOOK IT TO THE SHOP AND THE TECH SAID IF THE LIGHT IS NOT ON HE COULDN'T CHECK THE PROBLEM. I NOTICED THERE WAS A RECALL NOTICE ON MY MAKE AND MODEL, BUT NOT ON MY VIN NUMBER FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. TECH SAID IF THE SERVICE LIGHT IS ON THEN THE AIRBAG WOULD NOT DEPLOY. PLEASE ADVISE.
STEERING WHEEL LOCKED INTO THE STRAIGHT POSITION AND WOULD TURN LEFT. DASHBOARD BLINKED MESSAGES ACROSS THE SCREEN. " SERVICE POWER STEERING" AND "SERVICE STABILITY TRACK". UNFORTUNATELY ONCE YOU TURN THE CAR OFF AND TURN THE CAR BACK ON, IT RESETS ITSELF AND ALL THE ALERTS ARE NO LONGER PRESENT.

THE LOCAL DEALER (PERRY BUICK, 6633 E VIRGINIA BEACH BLVD, NORFOLK, VA, 23502, 757-828-5431) SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE VEHICLE DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL AND NO ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 38,000.
