CAR WON'T DRIVE PAST 40MPH WITHOUT SERIOUS SHAKING AND VIBRATIONS. HAVE HAD THE CAR TOWED MULTIPLE TIMES AND HAD MULTIPLE THINGS FIXED WITH THE VEHICLE BUT STILL HAVE MAJOR CAN'T DRIVE THE CAR PAST 40MPH. LAST ESTIMATE DEALER SAID IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION. 4-5K TO REPAIR. CADILLAC TOLD ME IT WAS THE COIL RODS WHICH THEY REPLACED. BROUGHT IT BACK AND I WAS TOLD IT WAS A PIPE THAT WAS CRACKED GOING TO THE ENGINE. STILL HAVE SAME PROBLEM. HAD THE TIRES AND ALIGNMENT CHECKED. THEY SAID IT WAS TRANSMISSION. BROUGHT TO ANOTHER PLACE THEY THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE THE ENGINE. ISSUE ARE ON THE HIGHWAY WITH SPEEDS OVER 40MPH.
THE TOUCH SCREEN CONTROL ON THE CENTER CONSOLE IS NOT WORKING AS DESIGNED. I AM UNABLE TO TO CHANGE FUNCTIONS, SUCH AS CHANGING RADIO CONTROLS TO AIR CONDITIONING CONTROLS. I AM UMABLE TO NAVIGATE THE SCREEN UP/DOWN AND SIDE TO SIDE. IT BOUNCES AROUMD UNCONTROLLABLE AND WHEN I DRIVE THE VEHICLE.
THE FUEL LINE BROKE DUE TO THE HIGH SIDE FUEL PUMP SEIZING UP AND THE BREAK AWAY BOLT BREAKING CAUSING THE PUMP TO BE UNSTABLE. THUS THE VIBRATION CAUSING THE FUEL LINE TO BRAKE SPEWING GAS ALL OVER. THE FUEL LINE BREAKING THEN PROMPTS THE COMPUTER SOMETHING WITH FUEL IS MALFUNCTIONING AND SHUTS MOTOR TO HALF RUNNING POWER AN THROUGHS SOME MORE FUEL RELATED CODES. RENDERING YOUR VEHICLE INOPERABLE AND NEEDING A TOW TO A SHOP FOR REPAIRS. THE FUEL PUMP DESIGN HELPS SAVE YOUR MOTOR IN THIS EVENT FROM BEING DESTROYED, WHEN IT MALFUNCTIONS LIKE THIS. THE FUEL PUMP DESIGN SEEMS LIKE IT COULD BE HIGHLY DANGEROUS. WITH FUEL BE SPEWED OUT AT HIGH PRESSURE IS UNSAFE. IT SOUNDS LIKE THE FUEL LINE BREAKING BECAUSE OF THIS DESIGN IS A PRETTY COMMON PROBLEM. I BELIEVE THE 2018 CADILLAC HAS A RECALL ON THIS EXACT SAME THING THAT HAPPENED TO MY 2013 BUT THE 2013 HAS NO RECALL ON IT?? WHEN MY VEHICLE FUEL LINE BROKE I WAS DRIVING IN NORMAL CONDITIONS IN MOTION ON CITY STREETS. I'M SURE THERE WAS TURNING AND BRAKING IN THE MIDST OF THE FUEL LINE BREAKING. THE SPECIFIC PART THAT BROKE WAS FUEL LINE PART NUMBER 12627125 AND HIGH SIDE FUEL PUMP PART NUMBER 12658486.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CADILLAC ATS. WHEN THE VEHICLE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP, IT SEIZED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE, BUT IT FAILED TO START. THE CONTACT HAD TO WAIT APPROXIMATELY THIRTY MINUTES FOR THE VEHICLE TO RETURN TO NORMAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO OAKES AUTO GROUP (1009 US-82, GREENVILLE, MS 38701, (662) 335-2886), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TEST DRIVEN, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,400.
MY VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY ON A CITY STREET AND MY WIFE WAS REAR-ENDED AND WAS PUSHED INTO THE CAR IN FRONT OF HER, AND THE AIRBAG NEVER DEPLOYED. THE CAR IS COMPLETELY TOTALED AND A CAR CRASH THIS BAD SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED THE AIRBAG.
2013 ATS AWD 3.6 . VEHICLE STARTED MAKING A HIGH PITCH WHINING SOUND. VEHICLE ONLY HAS 100,203 MILES (MOSTLY HIGHWAY MILES) AND UNDER 5 YEARS AND REAR END DIFFERENTIAL FAILED DEALER ESTIMATED COST $3500 BECAUSE WARRANTEE ENDED AT 5 YEARS OR 70,000. IS THIS RELATED TO POOR WELDS PREVIOUS REPORTED?
SEVERAL TIMES WHEN SLOWING DOWN OR COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP AT A RED LIGHT OR STOP SIGN THE VEHICLE SHUDDERS AND SHUT OFF HAVE TO RESTART IT I'VE ALMOST BEEN HIT A FEW TIMES THE MAJOR PROBLEM I'D LIKE TO HAVE A LOW IDLE OR SOMETHING I DON'T UNDERSTAND
TAKATA RECALL WAS ISSUED FOR MY AIRBAGS. NOTHING HAPPENED. MY AIRBAGS WERE DEEMED TO BE DANGEROUS/RECALLED/ SAME WITH MY STEERING WHEEL (2).. SAME FOR REAR BRAKES. YOUR QUESTIONS ARE NOT RELEVANT. NOTHING HAPPENED. RATHER RECALL WAS ANNOUNCED ON AIRBAGS, STEERING WHEEL (2) AND ON MY REAR BRAKES.

IN ADDITION, THE POWER STEERING WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND 'STEERING ASSIST, TAKE CARE' APPEARED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT HAD TO PUSH THE VEHICLE TO A SAFE LOCATION. THE CONTACT RESTARTED THE ENGINE AND DROVE HOME SAFELY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MCCURLEY INTEGRITY CADILLAC (1325 NORTH AUTOPLEX WAY, PASCO, WA 99301, (509) 544-6200) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE TEST COULD NOT READ THE CODES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
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
TAKATA RECALL THERE HAS BEEN NO "INCIDENT" RE THE 2013 ATS. THE ISSUE ORIGINATED WITH RECALL NOTICES TO MY DEALER AND TO ME RE (1) STEERING (2) AIR BAGS (3) BRAKES. THE AIRBAG ISSUE INVOLVES CONTINUAL WARNING BY LIGHT AND BY SOUND RE THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG. DEALER SECRETARY STATES THAT SHE HAS NOTICES FOR ALL THREE (ABOVE) TO BE RECALLED. DEALER GARAGE, HOWEVER, STATES THAT THE ONLY RECALL WAS STEERING AND HAVE RECENTLY REPAIRED THE STEERING. I RECALL RECEIVING RECALL NOTICES AT MY HOME BUT NO LONGER HAVE THEM. AND SO, COMPLAINANT IS SEEKING TO LEARN WHETHER THE BRAKES AND THE AIR BAG WARNING NEED ADDRESSING.
There is a shudder at around 1500 to 2k rpms and appears there have been thousands of complaints about this. Also the touch screen has been replaced 7 times in my car which is another issue with the ATS LEMON.
MY VEHICLE ALWAYS MISSING OR ACT LIKE IT GOING TO TURN OFF OR SOME TIME IT TURN OFF. IT VIBRATES WHEN YOU TAKE OFF. THEN IT STOPS BUT WHEN YOU COME TO A STOP AGAIN IT DOES THE SAME THING EVERYTIME. AND EVERYTIME I TAKE IT TO THE SHOP THEY ALWAYS TELL ME SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO COST ME MORE MONEY. THIS CAR IS A LEMON!!!!!!!!!!! MAJOR PROBLEMS IT STAYS IN THE SHOP. I CAN FAX YOU OR GIVE YOU THE DEALERSHIP NUMBER SO YOU CAN GET ALL THE TIMES IT BEEN IN THE SHOP AND ALL THE PROBLEMS.
CUE TOUCHSCREEN FAILS TO RESPOND TO TOUCH. IT STARTED GOING BAD AT THE BOTTOM, BUT THE PROBLEM "SPREADS" UPWARDS MAKING THE ENTIRE SCREEN UNUSABLE. THE HVAC AND RADIO CONTROLS ARE ALL ON THIS TOUCHSCREEN, MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTROL THESE FEATURES WHILE DRIVING. OTHER SETTINGS FOR THE VEHICLE ARE ALSO IN THE CUE SYSTEM, AND ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR ADJUSTING. NAVIGATION BECOMES UNUSABLE AS WELL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CADILLAC ATS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE OEM CADILLAC CUE TOUCH SENSE SCREEN HAD BEEN SHORTING WITH NO WARNING. VICTORY CHEVROLET CADILLAC (1360 AUTO CENTER DR, PETALUMA, CA 94952, (707) 353-5254) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER INDICATED THAT THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED AND THE PART NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
I PULLED OVER 2 SEE WHAT A NOISE WAS PUT IT IN PARK THANK GOD I DID BECAUSE WHEN I TRY TO PUT IT BACK IN GEAR IT WOULD NOT GO INTO ANY GEARS BUT THE SHIFTER REMOVE IT JUST WASN'T CONNECTED IF I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN GEAR I CAN ONLY IMAGINE WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED
RELATED TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V338000. ON THE AFTERNOON OF JUNE 16, 2018, MY 2013 CADILLAC ATS STUCK IN NEUTRAL. BACKED OUT OF A PARKING PLACE IN A PARKING GARAGE AND ATTEMPTED TO SHIFT FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE AND THE SHIFTER STUCK IN NEUTRAL. SHIFTER WOULD MOVE FREELY BUT NOT CHANGE GEARS OUT OF NEUTRAL. THE CAR COULD HAVE ROLLED FORWARD OVER THE EDGE OF THE PARKING GARAGE AND DOWN A HILL WHICH WAS NOT SAFE. I HAD TO APPLY THE PARKING BRAKE AND TURN THE CAR OFF TO KEEP IF FROM ROLLING FORWARD. CALLED FOR A TOW TRUCK. TOW TRUCK DRIVER ARRIVED TO TOW CAR AND RECOGNIZED THE PROBLEM AS A DISCONNECTED SHIFT CABLE. HE WAS ABLE TO RECONNECT THE SHIFT CABLE. ON JUNE 17, DROVE THE CAR TO DEALERSHIP (CLASSIC CADILLAC IN ANNISTON, AL) AND PARKED AT DEALERSHIP FOR DEALER TO INSPECT SHIFT CABLE AND DETERMINE THE CURRENT STATUS. DEALER DETERMINED THE SHIFTER CABLE CONNECTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. DEALER REPAIRED THE SHIFTER CABLE BUT SAID IT DID NOT RELATE TO RECALL NUMBER 14V338000. CONTACT GM CUSTOMER SERVICE TO REVIEW THE ISSUE AS IT APPEARED TO RELATE TO THIS RECALL. GM CUSTOMER SERVICE ALSO SAID THE REPAIR WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THIS RECALL. IN READING THE RECALL NOTICE AND THE ISSUE WITH MY CAR, THEY APPEAR RELATED.

IN ADDITION, THE HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING FAILED TO OPERATE CORRECTLY AND THE SUN ROOF SWITCH FAILED TO OPEN OR CLOSE THE SUN ROOF COMPLETELY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GOLD COAST CADILLAC (2123 NJ-35, OAKHURST, NJ 07755, (732) 695-1400), BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CADILLAC ATS. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE MESSAGE INDICATING THAT THE ENGINE OVERHEATED SUDDENLY DISPLAYED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PARADISE CHEVROLET (27360 YNEZ RD, TEMECULA, CA) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE OVERHEATING WAS DUE TO A FAULTY ENGINE AND THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. ON A PREVIOUS OCCASION, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SAME DEALER FOR OVERHEATING AND IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE COOLANT AND OIL WERE LEAKING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,664.
THE CUE INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM IS STARTING TO FAIL. SEVERAL SELECTIONS I.E. "MEDIA" AND "SCAN" ARE NOT WORKING. THE CLEAR SCREEN COVER HAS STARTED TO CRACK. IT HAS COME TO MY ATTENTION THAT THIS IS A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM TO THE DEGREE THAT THE SYSTEM FAILS TOTALLY SHUTTING DOWN ALL THE MUSIC CAPABILITIES, REAR CAMERA, AND USE OF THE ON STAR NAVIGATION SYSTEM AS WELL.
WARNING LIGHTS & BELLS CAME ON STEARING AND MAJOR SYSTEM FAILURE MUSCLED CAR OFF THE ROAD FRIGHTING, IF EXPRESS WAY WOULD HAVE BEEN A DISASTER! FORTUNATELY ONLY GOING 30 MILES PER TWO LANE ROAD
TAKATA RECALL. THERE WAS NEVER A NOTICE SENT OUT ABOUT THE RECALL. REAR WHEEL BROKE AT THE SPOKES WHICH CAUSE FOR THE CAR TO GO INTO A SPIN OUT. DRIVER CURTAIN AIRBAG DEPLOYED BUT NOT INFLATED LIKE THE PASSENGER SIDE. SEAT BELT DID NOT HOLD ME IN SECURELY, IT WAS LOOSE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO NORTH COUNTY BUICK AND CADILLAC (1515 AUTO PARK WAY N, ESCONDIDO, CA 92029, (760) 515-3511) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RADIO NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE CONTACT WAS OFFERED A DISCOUNT TOWARDS THE REPLACEMENT OF THE RADIO. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CADILLAC ATS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CUE SYSTEM BECAME INOPERABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A SHIRLEY CADILLAC (10125 S CICERO AVE, OAK LAWN, IL 60453. 800-338-4553) WHO DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE AND STATED THAT THE CUE SYSTEM HAD FAILED, BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DIRECTED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 57,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
KEYS WERE IN OWNER'S HANDS WHILE OPENING THE TRUNK, AND THEN THE KEYS WERE ACCIDENTALLY DROPPED INTO THE TRUNK WHEN THE TRUNK WAS SHUT. WHEN OWNER ATTEMPTED TO OPEN THE TRUNK BY HITTING THE BUTTON ON THE TRUNK, THE TRUNK DID NOT OPEN. THEN THE OWNER ATTEMPTED TO OPEN DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR TO ACCESS THE TRUNK RELEASE BUTTON, BUT THE VEHICLE DID NOT RECOGNIZE THAT THE KEYS WERE INSIDE THE VEHICLE (I.E. TRUNK) AND THE DOOR DID NOT UNLOCK (I.E. THE BUTTON ON THE DOOR HANDLES DID NOT WORK).
MY CUE SYSTEM IS FROZEN. IT WOULD WORK OK AT TIMES . BUT NOW IT'S FROZEN. RADIO STILL WORKS. BUT WITH VOICE COMMANDS ONLY.!. DEALER ARE WANTING $900 TO $1700 TO REPAIR.
2 SETS OF BRAND NEW MICIHLEN TIRES WERE MOUNTED ONTO MY VEHICLE OLD TIRES WERE STILL IN GOOD SHAPE BUT I WAS GETTING A RUBBING SOUND FROM THE TIRES AFTER HAVING THE TIRES REPLACE I'M STILL GETTING THE SAME ISSUE THIS SOUNDS IS MORE NOTICEABLE AT A ACCELERATION SPEED. (BRAKES ARE GOOD) ALSO WITH THE LANE DEPARTURE IT WILL GO OFF AT RANDOM TIMES WHEN I'M NO WHERE KNEW GOING OVER THE STREET LINES...
IMPROPER REAR DIFFERENTIAL RING GEAR WELD. THERE IS A GAP THAT IS NOT PROPERLY SEALED ON REAR DIFFERENTIAL HOUSING THAT CAUSES FLUIDS TO LEAK.
THE CUE SYSTEM THE TOUCH SCREEN TO THE INFORMATION DOESN'T WORK IN CAR. THIS SCREEN CONTAINS HEATER AND COOLING INFO AND SETTING, RADIO AND NAVIGATION OPERATIONS. THE SCREEN IS FROZEN.

EVERY OTHER DAY THE CUE UNIT WOULD LOOSE SENSIBILITY, AT FIRST IT WOULD NOT RECOGNIZE THE BOTTOM PART OF THE SCREEN , FOLLOWED INSTRUCTIONS ON RESETTING THE SYSTEM STILL WOULD NOT WORK COUPLE OF DAYS LATER THE WHOLE SCREEN WOULD NOT WORK.
RIGHT REAR ILLUMINATED DOOR HANDLE LED STOPPED LIGHTING UP. 38K MILES. I CHECKED WIRES. ALL CONNECTED PROPERLY. THREE OTHER DOOR HANDLES LIGHTING UP CORRECTLY.
AUTO-LEVELING HID HEADLIGHTS, ONE OR BOTH DO NOT PROPERLY AIM WHEN CAR IS STARTED AND HEADLAMP GOES THRU ITS SELF-CHECK. APPROX. 50% OF THE TIME A HEADLAMP WILL INITIALIZE AND AIM UP TOWARD THE SKY. IT'S A SAFETY HAZARD TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC AND A HAZARD FOR ME IF THE ROAD IS NOT PROPERLY LIT UP.
FROM 3/2013 TO 3/2019 A 3 YEAR PERIOD I HAVE REPLACED ALL TIRES 3 TIMES DUE TO IRREGULAR WEAR INSIDE, NOW EXPERIENCING ROARING NOISE FROM READ WHEEL. TIRES WERE CONTINUALLY ROTATED DURING REGULAR SERVICES WITH THE REAR PASSENGER TIRE LIGHT ILLUMINATED SHOWING LOW PRESSURE LOW, DEALER WAS ADVISED ON EACH OCCURRENCE PRIOR TO RECEIVING SERVICE . THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE DISENGAGED ON 8/31/2018 THE DEALER CHARGED ME FOR REPAIRS WHEN THIS WAS PART OF A RECALL PRIOR TO MY OWNING THE CAR, AND WAS NOT AVAILABLE TO ME AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE CARFAX DID NOT DISCLOSE

BOWSER CADILLAC OF MCMURRAY, PENNSYLVANIA (LOCATED AT 3260 WASHINGTON ROAD, 15317) WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND RECOMMENDED THAT THE CONTACT USE THE AUTO FEATURE OF THE DEFROSTER; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 61,000.
ON MY 2013 CADILLAC ATS PREMIUM MODEL MY CADILLAC CUE SYSTEM TOUCH SCREEN ISN'T WORKING I'VE ONLY HAD THIS CAR FOR THREE DAYS FROM A DEALER. I AM NOT ABLE TO CONTROL THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM, THE WEATHER, RADIO SETTINGS, MY CLIMATE CONTROL, AND BLUETOOTH. BY RESEARCHING ON THE INTERNET I FOUND THAT THIS IS A VERY VERY VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH CADILLAC IN THEIR TOUCH SCREEN TECHNOLOGY.
I PURCHASED A 2013 CADILLAC ATS 4 ON 9/29/16. ON 10/14/16 WHILE DRIVING MY STEERING COLUMN LIGHT UP AND STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP WHILE IN MOTION. I WAS IN DETROIT, MICHIGAN DRIVING ON GRATIOT, WHICH IS A STRAIGHT STREET, BUT I WAS UNABLE TO TURN THE WHEEL TO PULL OVER. I KEPT TRYING TO FORCE THE STEERING WHEEL LEFT AND RIGHT AND FINALLY WAS ABLE TO TURN AND PULL OVER. WHEN I CONTACTED THE DEAR I WAS TOLD TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN BY [XXX] AT NOVI CADILLAC BECAUSE THIS WAS A SAFETY ISSUE. THE DEALER KEPT THE CAR AND ON 10/20/16 EXPLAINED THEY COULD NOT REDUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND GAVE ME MY CAR BACK. ON MY OWN, I CHECKED INTO PROBLEMS WITH THIS MODEL ONLY TO FIND THERE ARE OTHERS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE ALWAYS SUPPORTED BUYING AMERICAN CARS, BUT PROBLEMS NEED TO BE FIXED WHEN THE COMPANY IS NOTIFIED OF A PROBLEM. I WILL BE ESCALATING THIS MATTER BECAUSE I AM NOT PLEASED THAT A PROBLEM EXISTS AND SERVICE DOES NOT SHARE THIS INFORMATION WITH CUSTOMERS. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CADILLAC ATS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CADILLAC USER EXPERIENCE (CUE) SYSTEM FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CUE SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.
THE WINDSHIELD ON THIS CAR IS SEVERELY FLAWED. THERE ARE NUMEROUS AIR BUBBLES AND BLISTERING AFFECTING YOUR VISIBILITY OUT OF THE FRONT WINDSHIELD. IT LOOKS LIKE THE WINDSHIELD IS DELAMINATING. I SEARCHED IN GOOGLE AND IT APPEARS I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE EXPERIENCING THESE ISSUES. SAME MAKE/MODEL AND YEAR.
MY SUNROOF WILL NOT CLOSE WHILE PARKED MY CAR DID NOT START. THE GAUGES AND LIGHTS CAME ON, BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT START WHILE PARKED MY DEFROST DOESN'T WORK ON THE FRONT WINDOW WHEN RAINING. THE WINDSHIELD IS FOGGY WHILE DRIVING

AND DISPLAY SAID ...NO POWER STEERING... CALLED 911 THREE TIMES, WAITED OUTSIDE IN SNOW FOR HR AND HALF FOR THEM TO TOW CAR TO BILL HARRIS AUTO 419-289-2000 IN ASHLAND OH FIVE MI DOWN RD. NEXT DAY THEY COULDNT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM SO THEY COULDNT FIX IT. I TOLD THEM I DONT FEEL SAFE IN CAR AND THAT I COULD HAVE DIED IF GOING ANY FASTER, IT STOPPED WITHOUT ANY WARNING. HE SAID HE WOULD GIVE ME $10 THOUS TOWARDS ANOTHER VEHICLE WHEN CAR IS WORTH $20,500. IN MY EXCELLENT SHAPE. I SAID WHY IS IT ONLY WORTH THAT, HE SAID BECUASE I SAID IT WASNT SAFE TO DRIVE AND THAT HE COULDNT SELL A CAR IF IT WASNT SAFE. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE TREAD SEPARATED AROUND THE SIDEWALL OF THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE. THE CONTACT ALSO NOTICED A BUBBLE AT THE SITE OF THE SEPARATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIRE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TIRE WAS REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED ON THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE DOT NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE TIRE AND VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 28,000.

I WANTED TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION RELATIVE TO RECALL NO. 15299. THIS RECALL EFFECTED CADILLAC ATS REAR DEFROSTERS. THE "FIX" WAS TO ADD SOFTWARE CONTROLS THAT MINIMIZED THE RISK OF FIRE TO SOME OWNER, BUT IT CERTAINLY DID NOT ELIMINATE THE RISK. IN FACT I POINTED OUT TO CADILLAC LAST YEAR THAT THERE WERE STILL CONTROLS STRATEGIES THAT WOULD COULD RESULT IN A FIRE. MEANING FOR SOME OWNERS THE RECALL WOULD DO NOTHING TO MINIMIZE THE RISK OF FIRE. WHEN I EXPRESSED THIS TO CADILLAC THEY IMMEDIATELY STOPPED RESPONDING TO MY EMAILS (ATTACHED). SINCE THEN CADILLAC HAS QUIETLY IMPLEMENTED AN ACTUAL FIX TO THE WEAK CONNECTORS. BUT THEY ARE NOT ISSUING THIS FIX TO ALL OWNERS. ONLY TO ONES THAT COMPLAIN ABOUT TO LOST FEATURES. SINCE THIS ACTUAL FIX ELIMINATES INSTEAD OF REDUCING THE LIFE SAFETY RISK IT MUST BE ADDED TO THE ORIGINAL RECALL.
ENGINE IDLES ROUGHLY. I HAVE ONLY USED PREMIUM GAS DURING FILLUPS. THE DEALERSHIP SAYS IT'S BECAUSE I'M NOT USING TOP TIER GAS, WHICH IS RIDICULOUS. HOW CAN AN ENGINE'S FUEL SYSTEM BE THAT SENSITIVE BECAUSE ONE GAS IS MISSING SOME DETERGENTS PER COUNT IN COMPARISON. MY ECM NEEDS TO BE REPROGRAMMED TO COMPENSATE FOR THIS. IT SEEMED TO START SHAKING AFTER I GOT IT BACK FROM THE DEALERSHIP THAT CORRECTED A RECALL PROBLEM THAT DEALT WITH AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT. HOW DO YOU PUSH AN IGNORANT MANAGER TO TAKE CARE OF THIS INSTEAD OF BLAMING IT ON THE GAS?
ON BOTH MY CADILLAC'S, THE QUE SYSTEM IS DEFECTIVE AND IS A SAFETY HAZARD. IF I HAVE THE QUE SYSTEM SET TO EITHER RADIO SCREEN OR NAVIGATION SCREENS AND I MAKE A BLUE- TOOTH CALL. THE DISPLAY STARTS IN EITHER THE RADIO SCREEN OR THE NAV SCREEN. WHEN I MAKE THE CALL, THE SCREEN CHANGES TO THE TELEPHONE SCREEN WHICH IS FINE. BUT WHEN I HANG UP, THE SCREEN REMAINS IN THE TELEPHONE SCREEN POSITON. I HAVE TO MANUALLY REACH OVER, FUMBLE AROUND TO FIND THE ICON TO RETURN IT TO THE ORIGINAL POSITION. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND A SAFETY PROBLEM AND CONCERN. IT HAPPENED EVERY TIME I MAKE A CALL AND I'M AFRAID THIS IS GOING TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.
MY DAUGHTER DROVE MY CAR AND HIT A METAL MAIL BOX (6X6 POLE, HOLDING 3 MAIL BOXES) AT 35 TO 40 MPH, SHE HIT ALMOST DEAD CENTER. THE SEAT BELT DIDN'T STOP HER FROM HITTING HER HEAD ON THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE AIR BAG DIDN'T DEPLOY. MY DAUGHTER SUFFERED A CONCUSSION, NECK AND BACK PAIN, ONE OF HER EYES VISION IS AFFECTED. SHE WAS DRIVING IN OUR STREET 3 HOUSES DOWN FROM OUR HOUSE, STREET IS WINDING AND NOT LIGHTED.
