8/13/02 MALFORMED FUEL TANK INLET HOSE REPLACED; 8/28/02 LOW COOLANT SENSOR INTERNAL FAILURE, REPLACED COOLANT RESERVOIS AND ADDED COOLANT; 9/17/02 RED FLUID LEAKING FROM ENGINE OIL COOLER. RESEALED OIL COOLER AND AGAIN FILLED COOLING SYSTEM; 10/8/02 NOW CAR MUST BE CRANKED SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE ENGINE STARTS. CAR IS A LEMON. DT
A BLACK BAR APPEARS ABOUT 75 FEET IN FRONT OF THE CAR WITH THE LOW BEAMS ON. THIS IS PARTICULARLY NOTICEABLE WHEN DRIVING ALONG NARROW COUNTRY ROADS IN THE AREA IN WHICH I LIVE. I FEEL THAT THIS IS AN UNSAFE DESIGN AND HAVE REPORTED IT AS SUCH TO CADILLAC BUT THE COMPANY DOESN'T SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH A LOW BEAM SYSTEM THAT HAS A BUILT IN BLIND AREA IN THE PROJECTED BEAM IN THE DRIVERS LINE OF SIGHT. REQUEST YOU INVESTIGATE THIS SAFETY COMPLAINT PLEASE. DT
THE DEALER UNKINKED A FUEL TANK HOSE. THIS PROBLEM MADE IT DIFFICULT TO PUMP GAS INTO THE TANK. THIS VEHICLE IS NOT GETTING THE PROPER GAS MILEAGE AND BURNS TOO MUCH OIL, ENGINE COOLER LEAKING FLUID, WHEN THE VEHICLE SITS OVERNIGHT IT HAS TO BE CRANKED TWO OR THREE TIMES BEFORE THE ENGINE STARTS . *JG *NLM
WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED,THE VEHICLE WILL SUDDENLY SHUT OFF. THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE BRAKE PEDAL BECOMES VERY STIFF. CONSUMER FEELS ITS VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION.
THERE WAS A SPOT IN THE HEADLIGHTS WHICH CAUSED LOW VISIBILITY AT NIGHT.*JB
THE CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER REGARDING THE STEERING BOLT, HOWEVER THE DEALERSHIP KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THE RECALL. *JB
THE HEADLIGHTS CONTAINED DARK SPOT ON THE LENSES WHICH INTERFERED WITH THE DRIVERS' VISIBILITY. *JB
THE VEHICLE HAD THE OLD AIR BAG SENSOR. THE CONSUMER WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE THE NEW SENSOR THAT WAS PLACED IN OTHER VEHICLES DUE TO A RECALL. THE DEALER HAS STATED NO REPAIRS WILL BE DONE UNTIL THERE IS A RECALL ISSUED FOR THAT VEHICLE. *NLM
WHEN PULLING FROM A LIGHT THERE WAS A CLUNK NOISE COMING FROM SOMEWHERE ON VEHICLE. TOOK TO MECHANIC AND THE BOLTS FOR THE DIFFERENTIAL WERE LOOSE AND CAUSED A LEAK. *NLM
DESIGN PROBLEM WITH INSTRUMENT PANEL, GAUGES ARE HARD TO SEE. *MR THE INSTRUMENT PANEL IS BLACK, AND ON A BRIGHT CLEAR DAY IT WOULD BECOME DIFFICULT TO SEE THE SPEEDOMETER, ODOMETER, AND THE GAS GAUGE. THE PROBLEM WAS ESPECIALLY DANGEROUS WHEN DRIVEN ON SUPER HIGHWAYS, ATTEMPTING TO SET THE CRUISE CONTROL, MONITOR SPEED WHEN THE SPEED HAS CHANGED GOING THROUGH DIFFERENT SPEED ZONES. *SCC *JB
THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE HAD A HUGE BULGE IN THE SIDEWALL. ORIGINAL TIRES WITH 17,481 MILES ON THEM (GOODYEAR, EAGLE P225/55R16, DOT # M6T4LNDR1502). *AK *CB *NLM
OWNER FELT VIBRATION THROUGH THE STEERING WHEEL, AND TOOK THE VEHICLE INTO THE DEALERSHIP. TO HIS SURPRISE, CADILLAC WAS REPLACING ALL FOUR OF THE TIRES DUE TO SIDEWALLS COMING APART ON THE INSIDE. THEY WERE A LITTLE VAGUE WITH THEIR RESPONSE, SO THE OWNER HAS CONCERNS REGARDING THIS ISSUE.*AK
CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT DEFROSTER NOT WORKING PROPERLY. MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED, AND STATED THAT VEHICLE WAS DESIGNED THAT WAY.*AK
PROBLEMS WITH PSI FOR VEHICLE TIRE EQUIPMENT.*MR. THE CONSUMER STATED THE OUTDOOR STICKER ON THE VEHICLE STATED FOR 17 INCH TIRES, THEY SHOULD BE INFLATED TO 30 PSI, HOWEVER THE GM SHOP MANUAL STATED THE TIRES SHOULD BE INFLATED TO 35 PSI. GM INFORMED THE CONSUMER TO CHECK WITH HIS LOCAL DEALER TO FIND OUT THE CORRECT TIRE PRESSURE. *JB *NLM
STEERING MECHANISM FAILED ON 2003 CADILLAC CTS. *MR THE POWER STEERING MECHANISM FAILED, WHICH MADE THE VEHICLE DIFFICULT TO TURN, WHICH WAS REPLACED. BOTH FRONT STRUTS WERE REPLACED DUE TO LEAKAGE AND THE INTERMEDIATE STEERING SHAFT BOLT WAS UNDER TORQUED. THE LEFT FRONT SHOCK LEAKED, THE INTAKE MANIFOLD LEAKED. THE CONSUMER WAS UNABLE TO PUMP GAS DUE TO A DEFECTIVE GAS LINE. A RUBBING SOUND WAS HEARD COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE, SQUEAKING FROM THE FRONT END, AND A HOLLOW SOUND WHEN PASSING OVER BUMPS.
