TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CADILLAC CTS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE PARKED THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSE THAT THE AIR BAG SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THERE WAS A RECALL UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 10V644000 (AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:SENSOR/CONTROL MODULE) THAT MAY BE RELATED TO THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 135,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CADILLAC CTS. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 40 MPH WHEN A LOUD RUMBLING WAS HEARD FROM THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHERE THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THERE WAS NOT A PROBLEM WITH THE TIRES. THE CONTACT CONTINUED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE WITH THE RUMBLING SOUND. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TOA SECOND DEALER WHO ADVISED THAT THE HUBS WERE MISPLACED ON THE REAR DRIVE WHEEL. THE DEALER WOULD NOT REPLACE THE HUBS AND SUGGESTED THE CONTACT TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE INITIAL DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT THEN TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A THIRD DEALER AND WAS ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE DUE TO THE BENT WHEELS AND THE WORN TIRES. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER REGARDING THE FAILURE AND THEY STATED THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO DUE TO ASSIST BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY. THIS CAR HAS HAD SEVERAL ISSUES THE NEWEST BEING IT STARTED USING EXCESSIVE OIL JUST AFTER THE MAIN COMPUTER WAS REPLACED. THIS CAR HAS HAD REGULAR MAINTENANCE AT THE PROPER TIMES AND NEVER USED A DROP OF OIL. WHEN IT STARTED USING OIL IT USED FIVE LITERS OF OIL IN JUST 24 DAYS OR 2000 MILES. IT CONTINUES TO USE A LITER EVERY TWO DAYS. DEALER HAS KNOW IDEA WHY THIS IS HAPPENING BUT THE CAR IS BURNING IT, THE WHITE EXHAUST IS VERY EVIDENT. *TR
I WAS INVOLVED IN A SERIOUS HEAD ON COLLISION WITH AN ONCOMING CAR. MY CAR WAS SEVERELY DAMAGED AND NO AIR BAGS DEPLOYED CAUSING ME TO GET 10 STITCHES, A FRACTURED NOSE, NECK, BACK, CHEST AND ABDOMINAL PAIN. THE AIR BAGS WERE SERVICED LESS THAN A YEAR AGO AT THE SPECIFIC BRAND CAR DEALER BUT THIS DID NOT HELP. THIS WAS NOT THE FIRST TIME THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO STOP SIGNS OR TRAFFIC SIGNALS TO PREVENT THIS AND ALSO THE DOUBLE YELLOW LINES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION SEEM TO BE AT FAULT. IF THE DRIVER OF BOTH SIDES STAYS NEXT TO IT THE CARS WILL HIT EACH OTHER. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CADILLAC CTS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE SYSTEM ERRONEOUSLY ENGAGED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS BUT NO CAUSE FOR THE FAILURE WAS FOUND. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 58,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO STATED HIS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL AND THAT IT WOULD COST $315 TO BE REPAIRED. NHTSA RECALL CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 07V589000, POWER TRAIN: AXLE ASSEMBLY: AXLE SHAFT: SEAL WAS RELATED TO THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED HIS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000.

MY "SERVICE AIR BAG" LIGHT CAME ON RECENTLY AND I ALSO NOTICED THAT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WOULD DETECT A PERSON IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. I WENT ONLINE TO DISCOVER THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON 2005 CADILLAC CTS MODELS. WHEN I TOOK MY CAR TO THE GM DEALERSHIP THEY STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL FOR MY CAR AND SAID THAT THEY COULD LOOK AT IT BUT I WOULD BE CHARGED TO FIX IT. I THEN CALLED MY NEAREST CADILLAC DEALERSHIP AND THEY ALSO STATED THAT MY CAR HAD NO RECALLS ON IT AND THAT I COULD TAKE IT IN TO BE FIXED BUT THEY WOULD CHARGE ME. MY VEHICLE ONLY HAS 68,000 MILES AND I FEEL THAT MY VEHICLE SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE. *TR
IN JANUARY I HEARD THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE 2005 CADILLAC CTS FOR A POSSIBLE FAILURE OF THE PASSENGER SEAT AIR BAG SENSOR. IN LATE FEBRUARY WHILE ON VACATION, THE AIR BAG SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON EVERY TIME I STARTED MY CAR. I THEN NOTICED THE PASSENGER AIR BAG ON/OFF MESSAGE ON THE REAR VIEW MIRROR SHOWED THE AIR BAG WAS OFF ALL THE TIME. EVEN WHEN SOMEONE WAS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT IT SHOWED OFF. UPON RETURNING FROM VACATION IN EARLY MARCH, I CALLED THE CADILLAC DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN DECEMBER 2004 AND WAS TOLD THAT ACCORDING TO GENERAL MOTORS RECORDS MY VEHICLE WAS NOT INVOLVED IN THE RECALL FOR THE AIR BAG SENSOR (10V-644000). I THEN CALLED CADILLAC CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE AND WAS TOLD THE SAME THING. I ASKED WHY MY VEHICLE WAS NOT INVOLVED WHEN IT APPEARED I WAS HAVING THE PROBLEM ADDRESSED IN THE RECALL. I WAS TOLD I COULD WAIT TO SEE IF IT WOULD BE IN THE FUTURE AND I TOLD THE REPRESENTATIVE THAT IF I WAITED IT WOULD NEGATE THE PURPOSE OF HAVING A PASSENGER AIR BAG IF IT WOULD NOT WORK. I WAS TOLD I COULD HAVE THE REPAIRS COMPLETED AT MY EXPENSE BUT AS FAR AS THEY WERE CONCERNED MY VEHICLE WAS NOT IN THE PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED RECALL. ON MARCH 7, 2001 I HAD THE VEHICLE CHECK AT MY LOCAL REPAIR SHOP AND THEY VERIFIED THE PASSENGER SEAT OCCUPANT SENSOR HAD TO BE REPLACED. THEY INSTALLED THE NEW MODULE KIT AND IT COST ME $451.78. I CALLED CADILLAC CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE AND WAS TOLD MY VEHICLE WAS NOT INVOLVED IN THE RECALL EVEN THOUGH I HAD THE PROBLEM ADDRESSED IN THE RECALL. I'M SEEKING REIMBURSEMENT FOR REPAIRS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED UNDER RECALL 10V-64000. *TR
2005 CADILLAC CTS-V REAR DIFFERENTIAL WHINE. THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL ON MY CADILLAC CTS-V WENT OUT. METAL SHAVINGS WERE FOUND IN THE DIFF FLUID. I TOOK THE CTS-V INTO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET A WARRANTY REPAIR DONE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CADILLAC CTS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PASSENGER AIR BAG SENSOR FAILED AND THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT WAS CONSTANTLY ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THEY ADVISED HER THAT THE PASSENGER PRESENCE SYSTEM CONTROL MODULE WOULD NEED REPLACING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO CONTACTED AND INFORMED HER THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER :(10V644000 (AIR BAGS: FRONTAL: SENSOR/CONTROL MODULE). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 127,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CADILLAC CTS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS AND MAKING A TURN, HE WOULD NOTICE A LOUD GRINDING NOISE COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY A DEALER WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE NOISE WAS DUE TO A LEAK IN THE SEAL LOCATED IN THE DIFFERENTIAL. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED FOR THE SEAL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 65,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AT THE CONTACTS EXPENSE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 95,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CADILLAC CTS. THE CONTACT STARTED THE VEHICLE AND THE AIR BAG SERVICE WARNING AND FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF INDICATOR LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED. WHEN THE AIR BAG SERVICE SWITCH WAS ENGAGED THE ILLUMINATION WOULD STOP ALTHOUGH THE FRONT AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED UNTIL THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF. THE FAILURE OCCURRENCES WERE CONTINUOUS WHETHER THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT WAS OCCUPIED OR NOT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT BOTH THE PASSENGER SENSING SYSTEM AND THE PASSENGER SEAT WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED TO CORRECT THE FAILURE. THERE WAS A RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 10V644000 (AIR BAGS: FRONTAL: SENSOR/CONTROL MODULE) BUT THE CONTACTS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 73,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CADILLAC CTS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED FOR APPROXIMATELY SIX MONTHS. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THEY ADVISED HIM THAT THE PASSENGER SENSOR WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED ALONG WITH A REPROGRAMMING. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED FOR THE SEAT SENSOR BUT THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO REPROGRAM IT FOR SOME REASON. THE LIGHT STILL REMAINED ILLUMINATED DUE TO THE VEHICLE NOT BEING REPROGRAMMED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 51,000. UPDATED 05/25/11 *BF THE AIR BAG SENSOR CONTROL MODULE HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE CONSUMER ALSO STATED DURING THE WINTER TIME, THE REAR DOORS WOULD FREEZE AND NOT CLOSE. UPDATED 11/21/11
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CADILLAC CTS. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED THE TRUNK LID CLOSED ON ITS OWN WHEN THE CONTACT WAS STANDING UNDERNEATH IT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT IT HIT HER SEVERELY ON THE HEAD AND LOST CONSCIOUSNESS. SHE BEGAN EXPERIENCING FORGETFULNESS AND DEPRESSION AFTER THE INCIDENT. SHE CLAIMED SHE HAS NO HISTORY OF HEADACHES, AT THE MOST MAYBE ONE OR TWO A YEAR. NOW THE HEADACHES ARE CONSTANT. THE CONTACT WENT TO THE DOCTOR AND HE STATED THAT SHE SUFFERED A CONCUSSION. THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED GASOLINE ESCAPED FROM THE STRUTS WHICH CAUSED IT TO FAIL. UPDATED.
MY 2005 CADILLAC CTS JUST HIT 63,000 MILES STARTED TO HEAR A CHATTER UNDER THE HOOD WENT TO GO GET A DIAGNOSIS AND SAID TIMING CHAIN AND CRANKSHAFT BALANCER NEED TO BE REPLACED. ANOTHER ISSUE IS THE AIRBAG BAG SENSOR WENT BAD CAUSING THE AIRBAG LIGHT TO KEEP POPPING UP ON DISPLAY AND NOW NEEDS REPLACED. I'M HOPING WE GET ENOUGH PEOPLE THAT HAVE THESE PROBLEMS FILE A COMPLAINT IN ORDER TO GET A RECALL. *TR
CADILLAC 2005 CTS / WHEN IN A SHARP TURN WILL NOT STOP SLIDES INTO WHAT EVER WILL STOP THE CAR- SEEMS LIKE FRONT BRAKES BECOME DISCONNECTED, ITS GOING TO KILL ME SOON IF I CAN'T STOP MAKING A TURN. *TR
WHILE APPLYING THE BRAKES FROM HIGHWAY SPEED, BOTH FRONT BRAKE HOSES RUPTURED. BRAKE FLUID WAS LOST AND BRAKING WAS OBVIOUSLY DIMINISHED A GREAT DEAL. *TR
2005 CADILLAC CTS- WHILE TRAVELING @35 MPH WAS STRUCK ON DRIVERS SIDE DOOR BY CHEVROLET 2500 SERIES TRUCK. CTS WAS PUSHED SIDEWAYS TOWARD CURB WHERE IT TURNED ON ITS SIDE, NO AIRBAGS HAD DEPLOYED, RESULTING IN HEAD INJURIES, LACERATIONS AND TRAUMA. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 CADILLAC CTS WITH 67,000 MILES. SINCE ABOUT 65,000 MILES CAR HAS BEEN MAKING A RATTLING SOUND UNDER THE HOOD DURING ACCELERATION. I HAVE GIVEN THE CAR A TUNE UP, OIL CHANGE AND THE CAR HAS OTHER FLUIDS ARE AT LEVEL. ONCE MY CAR HAS ACCELERATED AND THE GEARS HAVE CHANGED (I.E, SECOND GEAR) THE RATTLING SOUNDS STOPS..THE NOISE IS CONTINUOUS AND ONLY HAPPENS AT ACCELERATION, NOT WHILE IDLING. IN ADDITION EVERY NOW AND AGAIN WHEN A FRONT SEAT PASSENGER GETS IN THE CAR THE AIRBAG SENSOR/LIGHT COMES ON THE DASHBOARD. THIS PROBLEM DOESN'T HAPPEN OFTEN BUT IT HAPPENS EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE. UPON DOING MY RESEARCH FOR BOTH THESE ISSUES I FIND THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE HAVING THIS PROBLEM...HOPEFULLY SOMETHING WILL BE DONE SO THAT GM CAN ADDRESS THESE SERIOUS ISSUES WITHOUT HAVING THE CONSUMER/OWNERS HAVING TO PAY AN ARM AND A LEG. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CADILLAC CTS. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING SERVICE HE WAS ADVISED THAT THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL WAS OUT OF LUBRICANT. HE STATED THAT THE DIFFERENTIAL WAS ALSO LEAKING OIL. HE REFERENCE RECALL 07V589000, POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY:AXLE SHAFT:SEAL AND WAS ADVISED BY THE MANUFACTURER THAT HIS VEHICLE WAS NOT A PART OF THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AT THE OWNERS EXPENSE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,800 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 54,500.
THIS COMPLAINT IS PERTAINING TO THE 2005 CADILLAC CTS 3.6L V6. THE PROBLEM PERTAINS TO THE TIMING CHAIN FAILURE OF SAID CAR AT AROUND 80,000 MILES. HAVING DONE RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET I HAVE COME ACROSS MANY OWNERS WITH THE EXACT SAME PROBLEMS SPANNING THE 2004-2007 MODEL YEARS, WITH COMMON FAILURE RATES SPANNING 20,000, TO 80,000 MILES. THIS HAS COST ME PERSONALLY OVER $1,000 IN PARTS PLUS MY OWN LABOR. IT HAS ALSO COME TO MY ATTENTION THAT GM HAS ISSUED MULTIPLE TSB REPORTS PERTAINING TO THIS PROBLEM BUT WILL HOWEVER NOT ACKNOWLEDGE AFFECTED CUSTOMERS. THE COMPANY STILL INSIST THAT THIS VEHICLE(SPECIFIC ENGINE) IS SERVICE FREE UP TO 100,000 MILES, AND MAKES NO RECOMMENDATIONS FOR OTHER THAT ROUTINE SERVICE (OIL & FILTER). THIS BEING SAID I AM REQUESTING THAT THE NHTSA PERFORM AN INQUIRY IN THE FREQUENCY OF THESE PROBLEM AND ENCOURAGES GM TO ACKNOWLEDGE AND COMPENSATE CUSTOMERS ACCORDINGLY. *TR

THE MECHANIC ADVISED TAKING THE VEHICLE TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER IMMEDIATELY. THE DEALER VERIFIED THAT THE PINION SEAL WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO LOCATE A RECALL PERTAINING TO THE FAILURE (NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 07V589000, POWER TRAIN: AXLE ASSEMBLY: AXLE SHAFT: SEAL) BUT WAS INFORMED BY THE DEALER THAT HIS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS LEFT WITH THE DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS AWAITING REPAIRS. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 80,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2005 CADILLAC CTS. THE CONTACT WAS SITTING IDLE AT A TRAFFIC STOP WHEN A VEHICLE CRASHED INTO HIS REAR. THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS PUSHED INTO THREE ADDITIONAL VEHICLES AND THE SEAT BELT DID NOT RESTRAIN THE CONTACT. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT WAS INJURED WHEN HER HEAD STRUCK THE STEERING WHEEL. A POLICE REPORT WAS AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 112,000.

ALL SAFETY FEATURES FAILED - INCLUDING ALL AIRBAGS AND THE SEAT BELT. MY SON WAS SPARED, BUT HE DID SUFFER INJURIES. I HAVE SPENT COUNTLESS HOURS ATTEMPTING RESOLVE WITH GM FOR SOME ANSWERS - ALL TO NO AVAIL. THEY SPENT SEVERAL HOURS WITH MY VEHICLE, YET PASSED IT OVER TO THEIR 3RD PARTY INSURANCE COMPANY - WHO IN TURN TOOK ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY AND HAD THE NERVE TO PUT IT ALL BACK ON US (PRESERVING THE CAR AND PROVIDING MORE DOCUMENTATION). I WAS DRIVING TO WORK THIS MORNING AND I LOST COMPLETE BRAKE PRESSURE IN MY 2005 CADILLAC CTS. I WAS ABLE TO STOP JUST BEFORE I REAR ENDED THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME BY CONTINUING TO PUSH DOWN HARD ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. I TRIED TO PUMP THE BRAKES AND THE PRESSURE WOULD NOT COME BACK. I IMMEDIATELY TOOK MY CAR TO THE LOCAL FIRESTONE WHO TOLD ME THAT THE BRAKE LINES HAD CORRODED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED BY THE DEALERSHIP. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE LOCAL CADILLAC DEALERSHIP WHO WILL BE REPLACING ALL THE BRAKE LINES IN MY CAR BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL CORRODED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE AIR BAG SENSOR MODULE WAS REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT PRIOR TO REPAIRS, IF THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN INVOLVED IN A CRASH THE AIR BAGS WOULD NOT HAVE DEPLOYED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 59,844. IN ADDITION, THE RACK AND PINION ROD WAS DEFECTIVE AND HAD TO BE REPAIRED TWICE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. 4/12/2010 - I WAS SLOWING DOWN PREPARING TO TURN INTO MY DEVELOPMENT WHEN ANOTHER DRIVER RAN A STOP SIGN. THE OTHER DRIVER WAS GOING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, SHE STATED THAT SHE DID NOT SEE MY CAR, BUT SAW THE ONCOMING CARS AND THE CARS BEHIND ME SO SHE DIDN'T PREPARE TO STOP AT THE STOP SIGN. SHE WAS TRYING TO BEAT THE ONCOMING VEHICLES AND THE TRAFFIC BEHIND ME AGGRESSIVELY ACCELERATING AND IMPACT WAS MY DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT DOOR. WE BOTH HAD OUR SEAT BELTS ON, HER AIR BAGS DEPLOYED, MINE DID NOT. HER CAR WAS TOTALED. THE IMPACT WAS JUST LIKE A WRECKING BALL COMING OUT OF NOWHERE. THE IMPACT WAS SO THAT MY STRUTS HAD TO BE REPLACED. I HAD SUSTAINED TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY (TBI) AND I'M STILL RECOVERING, THAT IS WHY IT'S TAKEN THIS LONG TO SUBMIT A COMPLAINT. MY CAR WAS TOWED TO THE CADILLAC BODY SHOP FOR THE BODY WORK AND TUTWILER WAS TO TAKE CARE OF THE MECHANICAL ISSUES. WHEN I PICKED UP MY CAR AT TUTWILER CADILLAC THEY WOULD NOT PROVIDE ME ANY OF THE PAPERWORK FOR THE REPAIRS OR ANYTHING IN WRITING AS TO WHY THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, I WAS TOLD THAT THE ITEMIZED RECEIPT WOULD GO TO HER INSURANCE COMPANY SINCE THEY WERE PAYING FOR THE WORK TO BE DONE. THE CHIROPRACTOR BILL WAS IN EXCESS OF 7,000.00 AND MY MEDICAL (STILL RECOVERING) BUT HAS EXCEEDED WELL OVER 40,000.00. THE ELECTRICAL ISSUES, BAD RADIO, CARPET, BELL HOUSING LEAK, EXHAUST SYSTEM, GAS GAUGE SHOULD HAVE ALL BEEN REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY WHEN I TOOK THE CAR IN ON 1/5/2009 WHILE THE CAR WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. I WAS NOT AWARE OF THE AIR BAG ISSUE NOT DEPLOYING UNFORTUNATELY UNTIL THE ACCIDENT IN APRIL OF 2010.
LESS THAN A YEAR AGO WE PURCHASED OUR 2005 CADILLAC CTS FROM CADILLAC OF TURNERSVILLE, NJ. I JUST RECENTLY NOTICED A SHIMMY WHILE DRIVING AND DECIDED TO INSPECT THE TIRES AND FOUND THAT BOTH FRONT TIRES HAVE A LARGE BUBBLE IN THE OUTER SIDEWALL. THE TIRES ARE GOODYEAR / EAGLE RS-A P225/55R16 94H. I LOOKED ONLINE AND NOTICED A LARGE RECALL ON GOODYEAR / EAGLE RS-A TIRES WITH SIDEWALL FAILURE NOTED AND WOULD LIKE TO NOW REPORT THE ISSUE WITH OURS AND SEE WHAT WE NEED TO DO TO HAVE THE TIRES RECALLED AND REPLACED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, AS I AM NOT ABLE TO SAFELY DRIVE THE CAR UNTIL WE REPLACE THEM. THE "SERVICE AIR BAG" LIGHT CAME ON. BROUGHT THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP ON 2/26/2010. THE SAID THE SEAT WEIGHT SENSING MODULE WAS BAD AND OFFERED TO REPAIR IT AT ABOUT $611.00. THEY SAID IT WAS NOT COVERED BY ANY WARRANTY OR RECALL. I CALLED CADILLAC CUSTOMER SERVICE ON 2/22/2011 AFTER DISCOVERING RECALL # 10V644000. I SPOKE TO A MAN NAMED JOHN WHO SAID THE RECALL DOES NOT APPLY TO THAT VIN, AND REFUSED TO HELP OR TO REFER ME TO A SUPERVISOR. SIMILARLY, AROUND THE SAME TIME, I HAD TO HAVE THE ECU RE-FLASHED AT A COST OF$110.00, BECAUSE THE CAR WAS SHUDDERING UNDER ACCELERATION. I GOT THE SAME ANSWER, EVEN THOUGH I ADVISED THEM OF RECALL #06V020000, THAT MY VIN WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THAT RECALL. IT APPEARS THAT THIS IS A DELIBERATE EFFORT BY CADILLAC NOT TO AVOID PERFORMING RECALLS. I REQUEST THAT THIS VIN BE INCLUDED IN THE ABOVE REFERENCED RECALLS, AND THAT CADILLAC'S PATTERN OF BEHAVIOR BE INVESTIGATED.

AFTER DRIVING THE CAR FOR LESS THEN 2 YEARS, IT DEVELOPED A NOISE COMING FROM THE BACK (REAR END). I BROUGHT THE CAR TO MY LOCAL CADILLAC DEALER. AFTER A ROAD TEST AND INSPECTION, THE DEALER DETERMINED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL, AND IT WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF ABOUT $1700.00. I'VE OWNED MANY USED CARS OVER THE PAST 30 YEARS, SOME WITH OVER 100,000 MILES ON THEM, AND I'VE NEVER, NEVER NEEDED A NEW REAR DIFFERENTIAL ON ANY VEHICLE THAT I'VE EVER OWNED! I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE SEALS WERE GOOD, AND THAT ALL OF THE FLUIDS WERE AT THE CORRECT LEVELS IN THE DIFFERENTIAL, AND THAT THE EARLIER CTS MODELS HAD EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS WITH DIFFERENTIALS, BUT THAT THE PROBLEM WAS RECTIFIED WITH THE 2005 MODEL. MY 2005 CADILLAC CTS APPEARS TO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE POWER-ASSISTED STEERING. THE CAR PULLS TO THE RIGHT, AND IS DIFFICULT TO STEER TOWARD THE RIGHT. ALSO, ONCE TURNED BY MANUAL FORCE, THE WHEEL SOMETIMES DOES NOT SPIN BACK INTO PROPER POSITION. THIS MAKES TURNING IN TIGHT PLACES AND PARKING EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. I AM THE THIRD OWNER OF THIS CAR; I HAVE TAKEN IT BACK TO THE DEALER FROM WHOM I PURCHASED IT MULTIPLE TIMES WITH THIS COMPLAINT; BUT THEY TELL ME EACH TIME THAT I AM SIMPLY NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO TURN THE WHEEL PROPERLY. THE CONDITION HAS NOT BEEN FIXED. THE INABILITY TO SMOOTHLY TURN THE STEERING WHEEL TO THE RIGHT COULD RESULT IN A CRASH DUE TO MY NOT BEING ABLE TO AVOID A HAZARD WHILE DRIVING OR TRYING TO PARK.
