THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER BAKER CADILLAC OF CHARLESTON (1621 SAVANNAH HWY, CHARLESTON, SC 29407 (843)-353-3414) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE BUT NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS TAKEN. THE CONTACT HAD EXPERIENCED A FAILURE WHILE DRIVING AT 25 MPH, THE CONTACT DROVE INTO A POTHOLE WHICH ALLOWED THE AIR BAGS TO DEPLOY WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BY HIS INSURANCE GRECO TO A LOT AT 619 MARINA DR, CHARLESTON, SC 29492 TO PERFORM AN INVESTIGATION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DESTROYED. NO POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. THE VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
I WAS GOING TO MY DOCTOR'S APPT THREE MONTHS AGO ON MY WAY BACK HOME THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME AND WON'T GO OFF I CALLED MOORE'S CADILLAC ABOUT THE RECALL THEY ARE STILL SAYING IT'S OK I CAN'T TAKE THESE CHANCES WITH MY LIFE I WANT THIS FIXED I SAVED A LOT OF CHANGE TO BUY MY CADILLAC ESCALADE.
IN ALL VIDEOS I CHECKED FOR ISSUES WITH THE HEATED AND COOLED SEATS I SAW THAT ONE OF THE CONNECTORS TO THE CIRCUIT BOARD WE'RE STARTING TO MELT THE CONNECTOR. UPON REMOVING MINE, THE SAME ISSUE IS SHOWN AND COULD POTENTIALLY BE FATAL IF IT CONTINUES TO MELT AND CATCH FIRE.
TAKATA RECALL SERVICE AIR BAG LIGHT. I DAD CHANGED FRONT 2 SENSORS AND STILL HAS SERVICE AIR BAG LIGHT ON.
AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON WHILE WE TOOK A TRIP TO BIG BEAR WITH FRIENDS, TECHNICIAN DISCOVERED THE CONNECTORS UNDER THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT WERE MELTED, GOT THE CONNECTORS CHANGED, AIRBAG MODULE REPLACED, AIRBAG LIGHT IS STILL ON. I OWN A RENTAL COMPANY AND I'M NOT ABLE TO RENT THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE PASSENGER AIRBAG RECALL FOR THE PAST YEAR, AND GM WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THIS RECALL NEEDS TO BE PERFORMED.
TAKATA RECALL---2007 CADILLAC ESCALADE, STABILITY LIGHT CONTROL COMES ON AND OFF. ALSO TRIGGERS MY ENGINE LIGHT TO STAY ON. TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT STAYS ON AS WELL. I HAVE REPLACE THE TIMING CHAIN, CAM SHAFT, OIL PRESSURE SENSOR, NEW SHOCKS, NEW COMPRESSOR, AND I KEEP THE OIL CHANGED. EVEN THE CADILLAC DEALER HAS WENT THRU AND THRU THIS VEHICLE REPLACING ALL THIS STUFF AND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS LATER, TO STILL DOING THE SAME THING AND THEY EVEN SAID THEY HAVE NO CLUE OF WHY IT KEEPS DOING THIS. I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEM AFTER PROBLEMS WITH THIS CADILLAC AND SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE RECALLED TO FIX THESE ISSUES NOT ON THE OWNERS POCKET. ON GM'S POCKET. THIS VEHICLE IS ENOUGH ALONE WITHOUT HAVING TO CONTINUE SINKING MONEY AFTER MONEY IT IS TO JUST TRY AND FIX THIS ISSUE. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN CADILLAC'S AND THIS IS MY 2 ONE, BUT PROBABLY MY LAST ONE BECAUSE WHO WANTS TO FORK OUT 80,000 FOR A NEW ONE, TO CONTINUE FORKING OUT WITH ISSUES. THESE ISSUES SEVERELY NEEDS A RECALL BEFORE IT TAKES PEOPLES LIVES. SOON AS THESE LIGHTS COME ON, AND YOU GIVE IT GAS, IF FEELS LIKE THE TRANSMISSION IS GOING TO FALL OUT IN THE ROAD. ENGINE HAS ROD KNOCK LIKE NOISE AND GM SAYS ITS CARBON BUILD UP ON THE PISTONS HAVE HEARD THIS NOISE ON SEVERAL CADILLAC ESCALADES WITH THE 6.2LITER ENGINE FROM 2007 -2014 MINE FAISLED AS A RESULT OF THIS NOISE AND AND WAS IGNORED BY GM CORPORATION I AM CONCERNED FOR OTHER WITH THIS SAME CONDITION. THIS NOISE HAPPENED IN THE MORNING EVEN AFTER WARM UP ON NOT AFTER CAR HAS ALREADY REACHED ITS OPERATION OIL PRESSURE. AND WOULD LAST FOR UP TO 5 MINUTES EVERY TIME I STARTED THE VEHICLE AND WAS MORE NOTICEABLE ON COLD MORNINGS THIS WAS A MOTOR WITH 70K MILES ON LT AND WAS A 3 YEAR , 100, 000 MILE WARRANTY MOTOR

FAULTY BEARINGS ON CAMSHAFT FAILING CAUSING INADEQUATE OIL PRESSURE RESULTING IN "LIMP MODE", SUBSEQUENTLY LEADING TO ENGINE FAILURE AND ILLUMINATION OF STABILITRAK, ABS AND PARKING ASSIST ICONS. "LIMP MODE" CUTS ENGINE OFF AND DRIVER LOSES ABILITY TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE, 1 FATALITY AND 3 INJURIES HAVE RESULTED BECAUSE OF THIS.

THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM ALSO HAS ENORMOUS AMOUNTS OF CORROSION AT ALL THE SYSTEM CONNECTIONS, I SAW THERE HAS BEEN A TECHNICAL BULLETIN POSTED FOR THIS, SO WHAT HAS GM DONE TO FIX THIS ISSUE ALSO? I HAVE THE "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" , "STABILITRAK", "LOW OIL PRESSURE" LIGHTS KEEP COMING ON AND ENGINE IS CONSUMING QUITE A LARGE AMOUNT OF OIL AND IS NOW KNOCKING. AFTER ELIMINATING OTHER AREAS, THE MECHANIC HAS CAME TO A CONCLUSION THAT THE KNOCKING IS FROM THE RESULT OF A FAULTY PUSH ROD. I BELIEVE THAT I AM THE 3RD OWNER OF THE VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAS 160,000+ MILES. I AM A [XXX] DRIVER WITH 4 JUVENILE CHILDREN AND USE THE CADILLAC PRIMARILY FOR FAMILY TRIPS AS I HAVE A COMPANY VEHICLE TO COMMUTE TO AND FROM WORK. SOME OF THE REVIEWS THAT I HAVE READ ABOUT THE ENGINE SAY THAT THE ENGINE IS DESIGNED FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE AND LONGEVITY. 2007 CADILLAC ESCALADE PROBLEMS FIRST REPORTED TO CADILLAC AT 86,453 MILES. ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. CAR SHUTS OFF AT INTERSECTION UNEXPECTEDLY, I HACE TO RAISE HOOD AND SHAKE BATTERY CABLES TO GET TO RESTART. UPON TURNING OFF CAR, NO POWER TO IGNITION, NO INTERIOR LIGHTS, NO POWER AT ALL. I HAVE TO RAISE HOOD AND SHAKE CABLES AGAIN. I'VE REPLACED BATTERY TWICE, BOTH POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE CABLES, FUSES, GROUNDING STRAPS, CLEANED TERMINALS AT GROUNDS ETC. NO RELIEF FROM PROBLEM. AT HWY SPEEDS CAUSES TRANSMISSION TO UNEXPECTEDLY DOWNSHIFT, CYCLES DOOR LOCKS UP AND DOWN, GAUGES GO BLANK OR START CYCLING ON & OFF. AC SYSTEM TURNS ON HEAT UNEXPECTEDLY. TAKATA RECALL I AM VERY CONCERNED BECAUSE MY VEHICLE IS OVER 10 YEARS OLD AND I LIVE IN GEORGIA WHERE IT IS HOT AND HUMID. I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO GET REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS BECAUSE THE COMPANY IS NOT PROVIDING THEM AT NO COST. THE ISSUE IS WITH VVT AND THE CAMSHAFT. TOOK TO AUTO SHOP BECAUSE MY VEHICLE WAS GOING INTO LIMP MODE. WHICH CAUSED MY TRANSMISSION TO GO BAD. THE CAM ACCUATOR AND CAM BEARINGS BAD.CAUSED ME TO HAVE TO HAVE TRANSMISSION REBUILT.STILL DIDN'T FIX PROBLEM HAD NEW CAM POSITION SENSOR, ACCUATOR, HIGH VOLUME OIL PUMP, AND THE MECHANIC SAYING LOW OIL PRESSURE DUE TO BAD CAMSHAFT AND BEARINGS. SAYING I NEED A NEW ENGINE OR COMPLETE ENGINE REBUILD. WHEN I DRIVE THE VEHICLE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON AND VEHICLE GOES INTO LIMP MODE AND STALLS WHEN COMES TO STOP.HAVE TO RESET ENGINE LIGHT TO RUN AGAIN.

TAKATA RECALL I HAVE RECEIVED A RECALL FOR AIRBAGS IN MY VEHICLE I'M SCARED TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE ESPECIALLY WHEN MY KIDS ARE IN THE CAR. JUST TO KNOW THE AIRBAGS COULD COME OUT AT ANYTIME. I LOVE MY CAR BUT WOULD LIKE TO DRIVE IT KNOWING EVERYTHING IS OKAY AN WE ARE SAFE.

TAKATA RECALL ,STILL NOTHING AVAILABLE ,BEEN WAITING FOR SOMETHING TO HAPPEN SINCE MAY 2016
AFTER DRIVING THE TRUCK FROM WORK ONE DAY, ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH STARTS FLICKERING, THERE WAS A LOSS OF POWER, NO ACCELERATION AND SPEED GAUGE DROP COMPLETELY. I HAD NO IDEA OF THE SPEED THAT I WAS DRIVING PLUS THE DOORS STARTED LOCKING AND UNLOCKING. I HAVE LOOKED ONLINE AND THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE WITH THE SAME ISSUE WITH GM PRODUCTS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CADILLAC ESCALADE EXT. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE SERVICE PARKING ASSIST AND SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL SENSOR INDICATORS REMAINED ILLUMINATED. IN ADDITION, THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR KNOB FRACTURED. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER (MCLAUGHLIN CADILLAC IN EAST MOLINE, IL) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.

"SERVICE AIRBAG" APPEARS ON THE INFORMATION SCREEN AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT ILLUMINATES ON THE DASH EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE IS DRIVEN. CADILLAC DEALERSHIPS HAVE BEEN CONTACTED AND WE HAVE BEEN TOLD PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE BUT, WE CAN DRIVE THE VEHICLE WITH THE WARNINGS ON.

THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON ON AUGUST
TAKATA RECALL ('TAKATA') HAS DECIDED THAT A DEFECT WHICH RELATES TO MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY EXISTS IN CERTAIN 2007-2011 CADILLAC ESCALADE,GM HAS SUBMITTED TO NHTSA A PETITION FOR INCONSEQUENTIALITY AND NHTSA HAS GRANTED GM UNTIL AUGUST 2017 TO COMPLETE ITS INVESTIGATION AND TO SUBMIT ALL DATA SUPPORTING THE PETITION. IF THE PETITION IS DENIED, GM WILL CONDUCT A RECALL OF THE AIRBAG INFLATORS COVERED BY TAKATA'S DEFECT INFORMATION REPORT.
THE ENGINE MOUNT HAS BEEN REPLACED THREE TIMES AND KEEPS BRAKING, I CAN'T AFFORD TO KEEP PAYING TO REPLACE IT EVERY SIX MONTHS, MY MECHANIC SAYS ITS BEEN MISDESIGNED, BECAUSE THE ENGINE IS TOO STRONG, HE ALSO SAID THAT IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR ALL OF THE VEHICLES WITH THAT SIZE ENGINE, MY CONCERN IS, WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN IF I DON'T REPLACE IT ANYMORE AND IT COMPLETELY BRAKES? SHOULD THIS HAPPENS WHEN I'M TRYING TO CROSS A ROAD WITH LOTS OF TRAFFIC AND I NEED TO SPEED, I WILL BE STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND BE HIT BY ANOTHER CAR? ALSO, ANOTHER CONCERN IS THAT MY TRANSMISSION IS GOING TO GET DAMAGED, EVER TIME I TAKE OFF, I CAN FEEL HOW HARD IT HITS THE ENGINE DUE TO THE MOVEMENT ALLOWED BY THE BROKEN ENGINE MOUNT.

THE VIN INDICATED THAT THE PARTS WERE STILL NOT AVAILABLE. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
ABNORMALLY HIGH OIL CONSUMPTION: EVEN AFTER COMPLETING THE VALVE COVER REPLACEMENT AS RECOMMENDED IN THE GM TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN 10-06-01-008M, THE HIGH OIL CONSUMPTION CONTINUES TO OCCUR. FROM FULL OIL LEVEL COMPLETED AT THE DEALERSHJP SERVICE CENTER TO THE POINT THAT THE COMPUTER SCREEN INDICATES "LOW OIL LEVEL", THE CAR HAD ONLY BEEN DRIVEN 1,000 MILES (VERIFIED BY GM SERVICE CENTER). AS AN SIDE, THE VEHICLE IS DRIVEN ABOUT 5,000 MILES PER YEAR AND IS SERVICED AND CARED FOR RELIGIOUSLY. THIS ISSUE WAS INITIALLY NOTICED IN 2012 AS WAS THOUGHT TO BE A NORMAL CHARACTERISTIC OF THE MAKE/MODEL. ONLY AFTER FURTHER RESEARCH INTO SIMILAR INSTANCES WITH THE SAME MAKE/MODEL AS REPORTED BY OTHER OWNERS, DID THIS BECOME A LARGER ISSUE. IT WAS THEN REPORTED TO GM RESULTING IN A CASE NUMBER BEING CREATED. THE NEXT MAINTENANCE STEP AS RECOMMENDED BY GM SERVICE CENTER IS TO REPLACE PISTONS AND RINGS.
TAKATA RECALL--- I'VE RECEIVED A NOTICE THAT THE AIRBAGS WERE RECALLED AND POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS, WHICH CAN RESULT IN DEATH. I'VE CONTACTED DEALERSHIP BUT WAS INFORMED THAT TAKATA HAS NOT YET GIVEN THEM THE REPLACEMENT PARTS TO REMEDY THE POTENTIAL DANGER. CAN YOU PLEASE CONTACT ME TO INFORM ME WHAT STEPS TO TAKE. MY AIRBAG RED LIGHT IS ILLUMINATED. I'M VERY CONCERNED
RECIEVED NOTICE LAST YEAR INVOLVING TAKATA INFLATORS AND WAS DIRECTED TO CONTACT MY LOCAL VEHICLE MANUFACTURER (JOHNSON MOTORS OF AUGUSTA) FOR RECALL AND REPAIR. IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR WITH NO REPAIRS OR REPLACEMENT SCHEDULED OF THE RECALLED TAKATA INFLATOR.
DASHBOARD IS CRACKED TO WHERE THE WIRING IS SHOWING. STABILITRAK LIGHT COMES ON FROM TIME TO TIME.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
