MY HEADLIGHTS RANDOMLY BUILD UP CONDENSATION WHICH CAUSES THE HEADLIGHTS TO GO OUT UNEXPECTEDLY. THIS CAUSES A SAFETY ISSUE ESPECIALLY WHEN DRIVING IN THE DARK. IT'S ALSO ILLEGAL TO DRIVE WITHOUT HEADLIGHTS. THERE WAS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT IN CALIFORNIA REGARDING THIS VERY ISSUE.
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS DIMMED. HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS FAILED COMPLETELY. MOISTURE BUILD UP IN HEADLIGHT HOUSINGS APPARENTLY IMPACTED ELECTRONIC HEADLIGHT CONTROLLERS. AUTO DEALERSHIP ESTIMATES APPROXIMATELY $2000.00 TO REPAIR.. REPLACEMENT OF BOTH HEADLIGHT BULBS PRODUCED NO DIFFERENCE IN LIGHT OUTPUT. BULBS THAT WERE REPLACED APPEAR TO BE FULLY FUNCTIONAL. MECHANIC AT FIRESTONE AUTO CARE FACILITY STATES THAT 'HEADLIGHT HOUSING UNIT APPEARS TO HAVE DEFECTIVE SEALS ALLOWING MOISTURE IN AND REMAINING INSIDE THE HOUSING DAMAGING CONTROLLERS'.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CADILLAC SRX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE ENGINE TEMPERATURE WAS VERY HOT AND SMOKE WAS PRESENT COMING FROM UNDER THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TURN OFF AND PARKED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 94,000.
HEADLIGHTS ARE DIM ON LOW BEAM WITH CONDENSATION PRESENT INSIDE HOUSING. VERY DANGEROUS NIGHTTIME DRIVING. MUST USE HIGH BEAMS IN ORDER TO SEE TO DRIVE WHICH ALSO CREATES VERY DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS IN THE FACE OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC. HAVE ALSO HAD REAR AXLE REPAIRED WHICH APPEARS TO BE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH CADILLAC SRX MODELS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CADILLAC SRV. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS EXCESSIVE MOISTURE AND CONDENSATION INSIDE OF THE HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ADAPTIVE FORWARD LIGHTING WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PROJECTED LUMINESCENCE FROM THE HEADLAMP WAS DRASTICALLY REDUCED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT BECAME AWARE OF A WARRANTY EXTENSION PROVIDED BY THE MANUFACTURER IN REGARD TO THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED BY THE MANUFACTURER THAT THE VEHICLE NO LONGER QUALIFIED FOR THE EXTENDED WARRANTY REPAIR SINCE THE WARRANTY PERIOD WAS EXCEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 94,000.
HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT AT 70 MPH I -95 CURB LOST CONTROL ALMOST KILL ENTIRE FAMILY.
WHILE DRIVING MY PASSENGER'S SEATBELT CAME UNLATCHED AND FLEW OPEN. IT WAS NOT ABLE TO BE LATCHED AGAIN IN THE BUCKLE. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. IF I WERE TO GET INTO AN ACCIDENT AND THAT HAPPENED MY PASSENGER WOULD HAVE BEEN INJURED.
THERE IS WATER ALL OVER THE FLOOR OF MY 2011 CADILLAC SRX LUXURY EDITION AND ITS FROM THE SUNROOF. THE WATER GOT INTO MY ELECTRICAL AND NOW MY TRUNK WON'T OPEN AND THE FLOORS WON'T DRY. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED.
WHEN I HIT A SMALL BUMP IN THE ROAD MY BRAKES WILL GO DIRECTLY TO THE FLOOR AND I NOT ABLE TO STOP. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. AFTER HAVING IT CHECKED BY A CERTIFIED MECHANIC THEY SEEM TO BE UNABLE TO FIND THE PROBLEM.
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT'S MOTHER OWNS A 2011 CADILLAC SRX. WHILE HIS MOTHER WAS DRIVING 35-40 MPH THROUGH AN INTERSECTION, ANOTHER VEHICLE DRIVING AT 40 MPH RAN A RED LIGHT AND CRASHED INTO HER VEHICLE. THERE WAS FRONTAL DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT'S MOTHER WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL AND SUSTAINED A FRACTURED LEFT RIB AND LEFT COLLAR BONE. THE OTHER DRIVER SUSTAINED BLOODY NOSE AND A HEAD INJURY WHICH RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION AT A HOSPITAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AWAY FROM THE SCENE BY AAA WHERE IT WAS THEN TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE TO BE INVESTIGATED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 11V308000 (AIR BAGS). THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 70,000. *TR
SUDDENLY, THE REGULAR HEADLAMPS GOT DIM'AS IF SOMEONE INSTALLED A DIMMER SWITCH AND BROUGHT THE LIGHT DOWN TO 30%. BRIGHTS WORK FINE. THIS WAS TRUE WHETHER THE CAR WAS STATIONARY OR IN MOTION. WHILE TRYING TO GET THIS COVERED BY CADILLAC AND/OR MY EXTENDED WARRANTY (BOTH DENIED TO COVER THE REPAIR), I HAD TO DRIVE AT NIGHT WITH MY BRIGHTS ON. EITHER WAY, WITH BRIGHTS ON, OR WITH DIM LIGHTS, THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD. CADILLAC HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS FOR MANY YEARS, AND IN ADDITION TO NOT DOING A RECALL OR HONORING CASE-BY-CASE REPAIRS, THEY CONTINUED TO PUT THE SAME FAULTY HEADLLAMP ASSEMBLIES IN THESE VEHICLES, UP TO 2015.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT A REPLACEMENT BULB WOULD NOT ENHANCE THE LIGHTING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO COUNTRY CHEVROLET BUICK INC (1845 N STATE ST, NORTH VERNON, IN 47265, (812) 718-4368) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART WAS BACK ORDERED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT CALLED A THIRD PARTY REGARDING FAILURE AND INFORMED THE REIMBURSEMENT DEADLINE HAD EXPIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED BUT NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000. *BF*JB
BRAKES GOES TO THE FLOOR WHEN DRIVING. COULD NOT STOP.HAD TO PUMP BRAKES TO AVOID HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN ONCE WHEN DRIVING ON THE STREET. HIT A BUMP IN THE ROAD, BRAKES WENT TO THE FLOOR. THIS CONCERN HAS BEEN REPORTED TO CADILLAC GM. RESEARCHED ISSUE AND OTHER OWNERS HAVE THE SAME SAFETY ISSUE.
THE HEADLIGHT IS DEFECTIVE AND HAS WATER IN THE HEADLAMP UNIT CAUSE EXTREMELY LOW VISIBILITY WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS AS IT APPEARS THAT ONE IS DRIVING WITH NO LIGHTS AT ALL.
MY CADILLAC 2011 HEADLIGHTS WHEN DIM. FIRST I CHANGED THE LIGHT BULBS THINKING THAT THAT WOULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM BUT IT DID NOT. I THEN TOOK MY CAR INTO THE DEALER TO CHECK TO SEE WHY THE LIGHT BULBS DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY IN TURN TOLD ME THAT I WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE HEADLIGHT IN ORDER FIX THE DIM LIGHTS. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT THE LIGHTS GOING DIM ON THE CADILLAC SRX IS A FLAW IN THE SYSTEM.THIS IS AN UNSAFE CONDITION WHEREAS YOU WILL NEED TO DRIVE WITH YOUR HIGH BEAMS UNTIL THE LIGHT UNIT IS REPLACED AS YOU CAN BARELY SEE IN FRONT OF YOU.
I NOTICED THAT ONLY MY DRIVERS SIDE HEADLIGHT WAS NOT WORKING. AFTER INVESTIGATING I LEARNED THAT THERE HAS BEEN 2 CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS FILED AND WON AGAINST THE MANUFACTURER IN FLORIDA AND CALIFORNIA. THIS IS DUE TO CONDENSATION CAUSING THE LOW BEAM LIGHT TO FAIL. I TOOK THE HEADLIGHTS OUT AND PUT THE BULB FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE INTO THE PASSENGER SIDE AND IT WORKS. THIS IS CONSISTENT WITH THE COMPLAINTS FROM THE LAWSUITS. THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS CAUSING HEADLIGHTS TO FAIL IN RAINY CONDITIONS. THAT IS THE WORST TIME FOR HEADLIGHTS TO FAIL. THERE ARE ENOUGH COMPLAINTS THAT A RECALL SHOULD BE DONE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CADILLAC SRX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS FAILED. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO USE THE VEHICLE FOR NIGHT TIME DRIVING BECAUSE THE HEADLIGHTS LOW BEAM FAILED TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE ILLUMINATION FOR NIGHT TIME DRIVING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.*LN
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS NO LONGER WORK, MAKING VISIBILITY POOR WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT, SO LOW IT MAKES SEEING ANYTHING IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE DIFFICULT AND MAY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. THEY WERE WORKING AND ONE DAY WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM MY OFFICE I NOTICED THEY WERE NO LONGER WORKING, IT WAS DARK IN FRONT OF THE CAR. I CHECKED THE LIGHTS, THEY WERE ON, HOWEVER, THE LOW BEAMS WERE NO LONGER OPERATING.
HAVE HAD DANGEROUS LIGHTING LEVEL FROM LOW BEAM FOR LONG TIME. HAVE REPLACED THE BULBS WITH LED BUT NO SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT. REMOVE THE COVERS TO KEEP THE MOISTURE FROM BUILDING UP AND THEN REPLACE ON A REGULAR BASIS. SOMEONE WILL HAVE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT WITH THESE LIGHTS. WE DARE NOT USE THE VEHICLE AT NIGHT.
MY 2011 CADILLAC SRX HAS HAD VERY POOR HEADLIGHTS SINCE I PURCHASED IT. I HAVE REPLACED THE BULBS WITH THE BRIGHTEST HALOGEN BULBS AVAILABLE WITH MINABLE IMPROVEMENT. I TRIED LED LIGHTS, THEY WERE TERRIBLE. WHAT RECOURSE DO WE HAVE ON THIS ISSUE. I SEE ON THE INTERNET THAT THIS IS A ONGOING COMPLAINT WITH THIS MODEL OF CAR. PLEASE HELP!

I AM WRITING REGARDING MY SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT. THE LIGHT CAN ON ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO. I HAD IT CHECK OUT BY AUTOZONE AND O'RELLIES AUTO STORM. I WAS INFORMED THE IT WAS THE PASSENGER SEAT PRESSURE SENSOR AND IT HAVE A RECALL ON IT. SO WHEN I CALL THE CADILLAC PLACE THEY TELL ME THAT I HAVE NO RECALLS AT THIS TIME. SO HOW DO TWO PLACES TELL ME I HAVE A RECALL BUT CADILLAC SAYS I DON'T. I REALLY NEED THIS SITUATION CLEARED . I DRIVES MY ELDERLY PARENTS AROUND AND I NEEDS MY CAR TO BE SAFE FOR ME AS WELL AS FOR MY PARENTS. PLEASE HELP. I'M HAVING TO MANY ISSUES WITH CADILLAC. The contact owns a 2011 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated while driving approximately 3 MPH, there was a failure with the transmission and loss of power steering assist. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled and was towed to an independent mechanic and diagnosed. The contact also stated that the rear axle and suspension warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V473000 (Suspension). The approximate failure mileage was 76,000.
Headlight goes out after rain. Fogging and condensation can be seen, when headlight doesn't work. Takes several days to dry out and come on again. Headlight will cut off will driving if raining.

THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO PUMP THE BRAKE PEDAL TWELVE TIMES AND THE VEHICLE FINALLY CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ROHRICH CADILLAC (2116 W LIBERTY AVE, PITTSBURGH, PA 15226, (412) 344-6000) WHERE IT WAS TEST DRIVEN, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER FOR A SECOND DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53,850.
ABS STABILITY CODE (C0045) LEFT REAR WHEEL SPEED SENSOR ENCODER RING BROKEN. MILEAGE 96,020. REPLACED SPEED SENSOR ($28.71) AND REAR HUB ASSEMBLY ($188.54). LABOR ($420). THE BROKEN SENSOR AND HUB CREATED A NOTICEABLE AND SIGNIFICANT REDUCTION IN ACCELERATION. VEHICLE WOULD NEARLY STALL. MILEAGE 96,360 BEGAN RECEIVING SERVICE REAR AXLE CODE. NO NOTICEABLE PERFORMANCE PROBLEM, BUT A SLIGHT WHINING NOISE AT LOWER SPEED.
HEADLIGHT FAILURE - REPLACED ONE SIDE FOR 1400.00 NOW HAVE TO REPLACE OTHER SIDE CONTACTED CADILAC AND WAS TOLD IT WAS NOT COVERED. I OWN A 2010 SRX BOUGHT IN FLORIDA AND IT IS COVERED. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT GM SHOULD BE ACCOUNTABLE BEFORE INNOCENT LIVES ARS LOST DUE TO FAILURE OF HEADLAMPS

LOCATED AT (30 CRAFT DR, ALAMOSA, CO 81101) AND CADILLAC OF SANTA FE LOCATED AT (4450 CERRILLOS RD, SANTA FE, NM 87507) WERE CONTACTED AND AN ESTIMATE WAS PROVIDED FOR THE REPAIRS. THE CONTACT ALSO RECEIVED A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION LETTER THAT OFFERED TO PAY A PORTION OF THE COST OF THE REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 131,000.*DT*JB
HEAD LIGHTS GET MOISTER IN HOUSING AND FILL BALAST UP WITH WATER SORTS OUT HEAD LIGHT SAFTY HAZARD
HEADLIGHTS ON 2011 CADILLAC SRX ARE CONSTANTLY FILLING UP WITH CONDENSATION. THIS CAUSES UNEVEN HEADLIGHTS AND REDUCES VISIBILITY PUT DRIVER AND PASSENGER AT RISK OF UNDUE INJURY INCLUDING DEATH.
THE LOW BEAMS ON MY SUV WENT COMPLETELY OUT AS I WAS DRIVING EARLY ONE MORNING OUT OF MY NEIGHBORHOOD! I NOTICED THAT IT WAS UNUSUALLY DARK AND THOUGHT THAT A STREET LIGHT WAS OUT, BUT I SOON DISCOVERED THAT IT WAS MY HEADLIGHTS THAT WERE NOT WORKING. I AM UNABLE TO DRIVE MY CAR AT NIGHT OR BEFORE THE SUN COMES UP BECAUSE I HAVE NO LIGHTS. I CAN ONLY USE THE HIGH BEAMS. I NEED TO BE ABLE TO DRIVE MY CAR WHEN IT'S DARK. THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM AND THE GM SHOULD DO A RECALL TO REPAIR THIS DEFECT AT COST TO THE CONSUMER BECAUSE THEY ARE TOTALLY AWARE OF THIS ISSUE AND HAVE BEEN FOR YEARS. THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE SEALANT AND IT'S ALLOWING MOISTURE TO GET INSIDE OF THE HEADLIGHTS CAUSING THE LIGHTS TO GO OUT.
DRIVERS SIDE HEADLIGHT CONTAINS MOISTURE WHICH SHORTS OUT THE BALLAST AND IGNITOR AND BLOWS THE HID HEADLIGHT. THERE IS NOT A PROPER SEAL ON HEADLIGHT AND CADILLAC KNOWS THIS.THEY HAVE BEEN RECALLED IN FLORIDA, CALIFORNIA! IN WISCONSIN THE SAME ISSUE WITH MOISTURE. I HAVE REPLACED BOTH SIDES 7 TIMES. THE CAR DEALER REFUSED TO FIX. THE CADILLAC DEALER ALSO WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THE PROBLEM EITHER. AT ANY MOMENT THEY JUST STOP WORKING WHEN DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AT NIGHT. THIS CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE ONCOMING TRAFFIC CAN'T SEE YOU. A SAFETY ISSUE. LET ALONE RAIN, FOG AND SNOW DRIVING ARE ISSUES IF THEY JUST CAN GO OUT BECAUSE THEY ARE FAULTY.

AN UNKNOWN DEALER PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTIC TEST, BUT WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR THE SUN ROOF SEAL TUBES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. FEEL SLIGHT REAR VIBRATION, DASH LIGHT APPEARS "SERVICE REAR AXEL". DEALER SERVICE DEPT. CANNOT FIX.
TAKATA RECALL THE HIGH AND LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE SO DIM AT NIGHT DRIVING. IT'S VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE YOU CAN HARDLY TO HALF CAR LENGTH IN FROM OF YOU
HEADLIGHTS WILL TURN OFF SPORADICALLY WHILE DRIVING. IF MANUALLY TURNING LIGHTS OFF THEN BACK ON, HEADLIGHT WILL WORK AGAIN.
I HAVE HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE TIMING CHAIN TWICE ON THIS VEHICLE. THE FIRST INSTANCE WAS IN SEPT. 2017 WHEN THE VEHICLE HAD 84K MILES. GM ASSISTED WITH THE COST OF THE REPAIR. LESS THAN 20K MILES LATER AND A YEAR LATER, THE SAME PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED. THE DEALERSHIP LET ME KNOW THIS WAS A 'KNOWN FACTORY ISSUE'. GM IS NOT ACCEPTING RESPONSIBILITY. THIS IS ABSURD THE GM AID NOT RECOGNIZING THIS AS AN ISSUE AND ISSUING A RECALL.
I NOTICED ALL OF A SUDDEN I COULD NOT SEE THE ROAD, SWITCHED TO THE HIGH BEAM THAT'S FINE NOW BACK TO LOW BEAM IT'S LIKE I TURNED OFF THE LIGHTS,MY LIGHTS ARE ON BUT NOT BRIGHT AT ALL, DRIVING WITH HIGH BEAM MUCH AS POSSIBLE HWY & CITY.
BOUGHT THE 2011 SRX IN 2018. IMMEDIATELY HAD TO HAVE THE ENTIRE PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY REPLACED BECAUSE OF MOISTURE INTRUSION. NOW 6 MONTHS LATER THE SAME PROBLEM HAS APPEARED IN THE DRIVERS SIDE HEADLIGHT. VISIBILITY AT NIGHT IS BADLY COMPROMISED. REPAIR IS VERY COSTLY.
ON 03-01-2019 I WAS TRAVELING SOUTH ON DIXIELAND ROAD IN ROGERS, ARKANSAS. AS I APPROACHED THE INTERSECTION OF PERSIMMON ST. I SAW THAT I WAS ABOUT TO RUN A RED LIGHT. I HIT THE BRAKES HARD AND SWERVED LEFT TO TRY AND AVOID HITTING AN SUV. I WAS UNABLE TO AVOID THE VEHICLE AND THE FRONT AND RIGHT SIDE OF THE 2011 CADILLAC SRX I WAS DRIVING HIT THE SUV. I WAS THROWN INTO THE PASSENGER FLOORBOARD AND NONE OF THE TAKATA INFLATOR EQUIPPED AIR BAGS DEPLOYED.

AS A RESULT, THE LENSES WERE FOGGED, WHICH MADE THE HEADLIGHT ILLUMINATION VERY DIM WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 79,000.
FRONT STRUTS MAKING BOUNCING NOISE. ON INSTRUMENT PANEL IT STATES SERVICE REAR AXLE. I TOOK MY CAR INTO ELCO CADILLAC THEY TOLD ME I SHOULD REPLACE STRUTS EVERY 60-70,000 MILES ?????????? ASLO THE SERVICE REAR AXLE THEY CLAIMED WAS THE SENSOR SHORTING OUT. SO THEY REPLACED REAR DIFFERENTIAL CLUTCH CONTROL MODULE AND SOLENOID. THEY SAID SOLENOID VALVE STUCK. MY COST $1400 THE DAY I PICKED IT UP THE SAME [XXX] MESSAGE APPEARED (SERVICE REAR AXLE) ??????????????????? I BROUGHT IT RIGHT BACK ? THEY HAVE LOST ALL OF MY TRUST ! MY CAR HAS ONLY 77,000 MILES ON IT. ALSO THEY TOLD ME THAT NOBODY HAD THE PART. THEY CHECKED ALL OF CADILLAC THROUGHOUT THE USA AND SAID THEY WILL TRY TO LOCATE ONE. NEXT THING I KNOW THEY RECEIVED THE PART BUT IT CAME IN BROKEN? SO THEY REORDERED FROM GM I DON'T BELIEVE MUCH OF WHAT THEY SAY NOW. MY CAR IS OVER THERE PROBABLY SO THEY CAN FIGURE OUT HOW TO REMOVE THE SERVICE REAR AXLE CODE! THE OEM HEADLIGHTS ARE A DRIVING HAZARD, EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND UNSAFE. THERE ARE SEVERAL POSTS ON-LINE, DESCRIBING THE SAME PROBLEM. THE SEALS OF THE HEADLIGHTS ALLOW MOISTURE INTO THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES. THIS CAUSES BULBS, HARNESSES, AND DIODES TO BURN UP. I DESCRIBED THE INCIDENT TO CADILLAC, THEY REALLY DON'T HAVE A RESPONSIBLE RESPONSE.
The contact owns a 2011 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated that while driving the vehicle lost motive power while the accelerator pedal was being depressed. The contact stated that the ABS and Stabili Trak warning lights illuminated and the message to service Stabili Trak was displayed. The contact stated he noticed the failure for the first time 02/07/2019, and the vehicle was taken to the King O'Rourke Cadillac (756 Smithtown Bypass #101, Smithtown, NY 11787) where the vehicle was repaired. However, the contact did not know what was repaired. The contact stated that upon retrieving the vehicle he noticed that the warning lights were still illuminated. The dealer informed him that it could be a voltage issue and the battery was replaced. However, the failure reoccurred 01/07/2020. The vehicle was then taken to Bical Cadillac (2859 Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11234) where an unknown diagnosis and repairs were completed on the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure was resolved for a while but reoccurred on 11/15/2021. The contact stated that he received notification for NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V473000 (Suspension) and the vehicle was taken back to Bical Cadillac to be serviced for the recall. The contact stated that immediately after departing the dealer the same warning lights and service messages illuminated. The contact stated he called the dealer and was advised that if he brought the vehicle back to the dealer, he would be responsible for payment. The contact stated he contacted the manufacturer for the pervious failures and was sent a gift card towards his next repair as well as a complaint was filed with the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 11,400.

THERE IS ALSO A FAILURE IN THE BACKUP CAMERA IT SEEMS ALMOST ALL OWNERS HAVE TO REPLACE IT AFTER ONLY A FEW YEARS. THERE IS ALSO A FAILURE IN THE STABILITY SENSOR FROM THE WHEEL BEARING HAVING A FAULTY BEARING CAUSING YOU TO LOSE POWER WHILE DRIVING AND VERY DANGEROUS, ONLY HAVE ISSUED A SERVICE BULLETIN #PIC5428G

LIGHTS DIM ALMOST CAUSE ME TO CRASH. NOW ONE NOT WORKING SEEMS LIKE A LOT OF ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE. IS IT TO GET THE NEARLY $500 REPAIR COST? FIX THE PROBLEM THOUSANDS COMPLAINING, IT'S AN OBVIOUS FLAW. NOT FAIR . THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS WILL THIS ONLY BE FIXED AFTER A TRAGEDY?
WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT WITH LIGHTS ON DIM YOU CAN BARELY SEE ANYTHING. IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO SEE ANYTHING LIGHTS MUST BE ON BRIGHT, IF MEETING ANOTHER DRIVER THIS MAKES FOR A POSSIBLE HOSTILE INTERACTION AS THE APPROACHING DRIVER IS BLINDED BY THE BRIGHTNESS OF LIGHTS. I TOOK MY CAR TO SHOP ONLY TO BE INFORMED IT IS A DEFECT WITH THIS MODEL VEHICLE STARTING WITH 2010 MODELS. I WAS TOLD THE PRICE STARTS AT AROUND $1000.00 FOR A REPLACEMENT CLIP WITH THE PROBABILITY THAT LIGHTS WILL DO SAME THING😯. LIGHTS ARE NOT BLOWN BUT INSTEAD IT IS A DEFECT OF MANUFACTURER. THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. NIGHT DRIVING IS A MUST FOR SOME OF US AND THE FEELING OF NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE VERY WELL WITH LIGHTS ON DIM OR MAKING OTHER DRIVERS MAD AND POSSIBLY RESULTING IN AN ACT OF ROAD RAGE MAKES US FEEL VERY UNSAFE. I HAVE BEEN A CADILLAC DRIVER ALL MY LIFE AND FEEL THIS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE . WE SHOULD NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR TRYING TO FIX SOMETHING THAT IN ALL HONESTY IS NOT OUR FAULT AND WILL ONLY RESULT IN SPENDING MONEY THAT IS ONLY GOING TOWARD A TEMPORARY FIX STILL. PLEASE MAKE THIS RIGHT.
