LAST YEAR , JUST AFTER MY WARRANTY WAS OVER, I NOTICED A PANT BUBBLING(RUST ) ON THE EDGE OF THE HOOD. DEALER WANTED $200 TO FIX IT. MY CAR IS 6 YEARS OLD (60000 MILES ) NOW AND IS SPOTLESS OTHERWISE. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH RUST SHOWING UP.

WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT MY LOW BEAMS SHINE VERY VERY VERY DIM VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT I LOOKED ONLINE AND OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE SAME YEAR MAKE AND MODEL
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CADILLAC SRX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEADLAMPS FAILED TO OPERATE INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (BILL BLACK CHEVROLET, CADILLAC AT 601 E. BESSEMER AVENUE, GREENSBORO, NC 27405) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS CONDENSATION IN THE HEADLAMPS. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE HEADLAMPS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
WATER IS GETTING INTO THE HEAD LIGHTS ON BOTH SIDES OF MY CAR
VEHICLE HEADLAMPS WENT OUT TOTALLY WITHIN 2 DAYS AFTER MOISTURE AND CONDENSATION APPEARED BEHIND PROTECTIVE CLEAR SEALED COVERS. LEFT SIDE WENT OUT WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, RIGHT SIDE WAS OUT WHEN I ARRIVED FOR SERVICE THE NEXT DAY. I WAS CHARGED $1354.47 BY CADILLAC TO REPLACE ALL COMPONENTS ON EACH SIDE, INCLUDING NEW CLEAR COVERS AND SEALS. I CHECKED ONLINE AND THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE. WHEN I PICKED MY VEHICLE UP FROM CADILLAC DEALERSHIP, THERE WERE SEVERAL CADILLACS LINED UP, ALL WITH MOISTURE BEHIND THE CLEAR LENS COVERS. I COULD NOT DRIVE MY VEHICLE AT NIGHT UNTIL THIS REPAIR WAS COMPLETED.
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE EXTREMELY DIM, UNABLE TO DRIVE SAFELY AT NIGHT AT ALL. I HAVE REPLACED THE BULBS, BUT THERE IS NOT ENOUGH POWER GOING TO THE HEADLIGHTS. I THINK THIS IS DUE TO FAULTY HEADLIGHTS THAT ALLOW MOISTURE TO GET IN AND HAVE DAMAGED THE LIGHTING HOUSING.
MY 2011 CADILLAC ON FEB 8 @016 WENT PUT IN PARK AND WENT TO GET OUT OF IT JUMP IN REVERSE I FELL GOT TRY PUT IN PARK IN STEAL IT WENT IN TO DRIVE PULL WITH CAR IN CAR WASH AND I GOT PEN BETWEEN THE DOOR AND CAR FRAME. PLUS IN CAR WASH IT CRUSH ME WENT THE ARM OF CAR WASH PEN ME BETWEEN THE ARM ON CAR WASH AND MY DOOR AN FRAME OF THE CAR. I CONTACT GM MOTOR ABOUT THIS AND THEY SAID PAY MEDICAL AND TO HAVE CAR FIX. NOW THEY SAID NO. IT NOT THERE FAULT. WHY DID I GO TO ALL TROUBLE TO GET MEDICAL NUMBER TELL ME THE GOING PAY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CADILLAC SRX. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO HESITATE WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED RANDOMLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE MASS FLOW SENSOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, IT TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 79,000. ...UPDATED 04/26/16 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY REPLACING THE MASTER CYLINDER. *JS
BOTH FRONT (L & R) WINDOWS OPERATE VERY SLOWLY WHEN GOING UP. SO SLOWLY, IN FACT, OFTEN "MANUAL ASSISTANCE" (THE USE OF THE DRIVER'S HAND GRASPING THE WINDOW-HELPING IT UP-AS IT S-L-O-W-L-Y RISES) IS REQUIRED. NATURALLY, THE 4 YEAR BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTEE JUST EXPIRED 2 MONTHS AGO. THIS IS A DISGRACE! A 4 YEAR OLD CADILLAC(28K MILES) WITH "$2.00" (CHEAP!!) WINDOW MOTORS. AND GM WONDERS WHY MERCEDES, LEXUS AND BMW TRUMP THEM EVERY YEAR. NO MYSTERY!
FRONT HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES ARE DEFECTIVE AND ALLOW CONDENSATION TO BUILD UP BEHIND LENS CAUSING HEADLIGHTS TO BE LESS EFFECTIVE AND EVENTUALLY SHORT OUT ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. THIS CONDITION HAS OCCURRED TWICE (ON BOTH FRONT PASSENGER AND DRIVERS SIDE) SINCE I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN 2014, MOST RECENTLY WHILE DRIVING HOME ON THE HIGHWAY AT NIGHT NEARLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. THESE DEFECTIVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES ARE VERY DANGEROUS AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED, VIA A RECALL, BY CADILLAC ASAP. AN INTERNET SEARCH ON THIS ISSUE REVEALED HUNDRED OF SIMILAR COMPLAINTS AND I SUSPECT CADILLAC IS WELL AWARE OF THIS DEFECTIVE PART.
BRAKES FEEL SPONGY, SOMETIMES THEY GO ALMOST TO FLOOR BOFORE SLOWING DOWN. HAS BEEN DANGEROUS. REPAIR CENTER CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG.
LOW BEAMS ARE TOO DIM. WHEN I'M ON ROADS THAT DO NOT HAVE REFLECTIVE STRIPES I CAN'T SEE THE SIDES OF THE ROAD. THIS IS PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS WHEN APPROACHING ONCOMING TRAFFIC.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CADILLAC SRX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS EXCESSIVE WATER ENTERING THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE FROM THE SUN ROOF DRAINAGE LINES. DUE TO THE MOISTURE FROM THE WATER IN THE VEHICLE, THE DEFROSTER BECAME INOPERABLE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE TRUNK RELEASE BUTTON BECAME INOPERABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SUN ROOF DRAIN LINES WERE CLEANED AND REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.
AT NIGHT THE HEADLIGHTS ARE SO DIM THAT IT'S VERY HARD TO SEE ANYTHING. THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY HAS MOISTURE INSIDE OF IT AND IT MAKES IT HARD TO SEE.
WHILE PUTTING GROCERIES IN THE BACK OF THE SRX THE POWER LIFT GATE CAME DOWN WITHOUT WARNING AND HIT ME IN THE BACK. I WAS ABLE TO HIT THE BUTTON AND OPEN THE GATE BACK UP. AFTER ABOUT 10 SECONDS OR SO IT CAME BACK DOWN. IT WILL NOT STAY OPEN.
THE VEHICLE'S SUNROOF DRAIN HOSE MATERIAL SHRINKS DUE TO CHANGING ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS. THIS RESULTS IN THE DRAIN HOSES DETACHING FROM THE DASH OR SUNROOF MODULE. WATER LEAKS INTO THE VEHICLE DAMAGING INTERIOR COMPONENTS INCLUDING WIRING, ELECTRONIC MODULES, THE SOUND DEADENER AND CARPET. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME IT RAINS OR THROUGH CAR WASHES.
THE VEHICLE HESITATES WHEN ACCELERATING ON HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 40 TO 50 MPH. VEHICLE JUST STALLS OUT WHEN DRIVING.
GENERAL MOTORS HAVE AGREED THEY HAVE PROBLEMS WITH ISSUES OF MOISTURE ACCUMULATING IN THEIR HEADLIGHT CAPSULES ON 2010-2015 SRX'S. GM HAS AGREED ONLY TO REIMBURSE CUSTOMERS IN CA AND FL DUE TO SUITS BROUGHT AGAINST THEM BY THESE 2 STATES. I CALLED GM AND WAS ADVISED MY VIN # WAS NOT ON THE REIMBURSEMENT LIST BECAUSE IT WAS MADE IN CA OR FL. I HAVE PAID A TOTAL OF $2030.22 TO HAVE MY HEADLIGHTS REPAIRED FROM MOISTURE. THE FIRST ONE WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, SO ONLY HAD TO PAY $473.22 ON 10/07/15. THE SECOND ONE WAS REPLACE 8/4/2017 FOR $1,557.00. *JS
VERY BAD LIGHTING OF LOW BEAM HEAD LIGHTS..CANNOT SEE LIGHTS ON ROAD
3 OF THE 4 WHEEL BEARING/HUBS ARE BAD. NEED TO REPLACE THREE. THOUGHT IT WAS TIRES, BUT IT IS THE WHEEL BEARINGS. I HAVE 114,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE AND NO POWER TRAIN WARRANTY NOW. HAS BEEN LIKE THIS FOR 50,000 MILES AND THOUGHT IT WAS THE TIRES I BOUGHT BECAUSE IT STARTED RIGHT AFTER NEW TIRES INSTALL.

WHEN THE CONTACT ENTERED THE VEHICLE AT A FUEL STATION AND ATTEMPTED TO START THE VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE DID NOT DETECT THE PRESENCE OF THE FOBIK KEY AND WOULD NOT START. THE VEHICLE'S ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM ENGAGED AND LOCKED THE CONTACT IN THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT'S SPOUSE USED HIS FOBIK KEY TO UNLOCK THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 17,000.
WHILE STANDING AT THE REAR OF AUTO WITH POWER LIFT HATCH OPEN.. I WAS MOVING SOME OBJECTS AROUND AND NOTICED THAT THE HATCH WAS CLOSING , BEING STARTLED A WAS GETTING PINCHED INTO THE OPENING BY THE HATCH DOOR.. I PUSHED REAL HARD WITH MY BACK AND DID ESCAPE SERIOUS HARM, NOW I'M WATCHFUL WHEN IN THE BACK AND HATCH IS OPEN AND I'M UNDER THE DOOR.. IT DOES START COMING DOWN SLOWLY AFTER BEING OPEN FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES.. VERY DANGEROUS.. PLEASE ADVISE.
AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM IS NOT COOLING PROPERLY. PASSENGER SIDE IS SOMEWHAT BLOWING COOL AIR AND DRIVER'S SIDE IS BLOWING HOT AIR. THIS IS THE EXACT SITUATION THAT RESULTED IN A RECALL OF 2011 CADILLAC SRX. HOWEVER, THIS CADILLAC SRX WAS NOT INITIALLY INCLUDED IN THE RECALL AND HAS NOT BEEN TO-DATE. THE SAFETY RECALL NOTICE IS 11057; FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 103. THIS COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE A SERIOUS PROBLEM IN THE WINTER MONTHS WHEN THE DEFROST MAY NOT WORK PROPERLY. IT IS OBVIOUS FROM OUR RESEARCH THAT THIS VEHICLE SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN THE RECALL AS IT IS THE EXACT SAME SITUATION AS THOSE AFFECTED BY THE RECALL. WE HAVE CONTACTED GMC ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT THE RECALLS ARE VERY SPECIFIC. WE HAVE TRIED TO EXPLAIN THIS SITUATION BUT HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT WE WILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE SELLING DEALERSHIP. HOWEVER, THIS IS A GMC SITUATION, NOT A DEALERSHIP PROBLEM. WE ARE VERY CONCERNED THAT A CAR MANUFACTURER ONLY RECALLS CERTAIN VEHICLES IN A GIVEN YEAR WITH A SITUATION AND LEAVES THE OTHER VEHICLES OF THE SAME YEAR, MAKE, AND MODEL ON THE ROAD THAT THEY ARBITRARILY DECIDE NOT TO RECALL THAT ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEMS.
7/24/15 HAD SUNROOF SERVICED FOR RECALL.INTERIOR WET MOLDY,EVEN HAT IN SEAT WEB. 7/26/15 COULD NOT OPEN REAR LIFT GATE..DEALER COULD REPAIR FOR HALF RHE $1,200 COST,SINCE THE MILEAGE WAS OVER 4 YEAR WARRANTY BUT HAD LESS THAN 48,000 MI. COULD HEAR WATER AFTER ANY RAIN.DEALER ADMITTED PROBLEM WITH SUNROOF WAS CAUSE,BUT NOT COVERED.OTHER FUSES ALSO LOCATED IN REAR BLOCK,FUEL PUMP,WIPER,REAR WINDOWS..CANNOT OPEN LIFT GATE EVEN MANUALLY.SO NO ACCESS TO SPARE,ETC.CALLED CADILLAC CUSTOMER CARE MANY TIMES ,BUT THEY WILL NOT ADMIT AN OBVIOUS SAFETY AND DESIGN DEFECT. NOR HAS THER BEEN ANY ADVICE NOT TO OPERATE OR PARK DURING RAIN,OR HOW TO PREVENT FURTHER DAMAGE.

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
I WAS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY WHEN I HEARD A SOUND LIKE AN OBJECT HITTING THE CAR. THE SUNROOF BEGAN TO SHATTER. THERE WAS NO ONE AROUND WHO MAY HAVE HIT THE CAR OR SUNROOF. UPDATED 09/15/15*LJ

THE CONTACT HAD TO UTILIZE THE HIGH BEAMS FOR VISIBILITY. THERE WAS NO WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KEYSER CADILLAC (716-568-7045, LOCATED AT 4130 SHERIDAN DR, WILLIAMSVILLE, NY 14221) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 47,500.
2011 CADILLAC SRX WITH 20,000 MILES ON IT HAD THE ENTIRE WHEEL HUB COME APART. BOLTS FELL OUT AND THE REMAINING BOLTS WERE ALL LOOSENED. THIS PROBLEM RUINED THE CALIPER AND BRAKES. I WAS LUCKY THAT I WAS NOT DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY VERY OFTEN AS I COULD HAVE HAD A VERY SERIOUS CRASH. *TR

I'VE HAD MY CAR FOR A LITTLE OVER A MONTH AND HONESTLY CANNOT SEE ANYTHING WITH THE HEADLIGHTS. WHEN I FLIP THEM OVER TO BRIGHTS, THEY ILLUMINATE THE ROADWAY PERFECTLY. TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2011 CADILLAC SRX. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE SEAT BELT WAS LOOSE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THREE UNKNOWN INJURIES WERE REPORTED. THE CONTACT DID NOT DISCLOSE IF MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED OR NOT. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
AS I APPROACHED AN INTERSECTION WITH A GREEN TRAFFIC LIGHT A VEHICLE DRIVING ON THE CROSSING STREET FAILED TO STOP AT RED LIGHT AND I HAD TO ACCELERATE TO AVOID BEING HIT AND MY VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE AND ALMOST GOT HIT . AS I TRIED TO RESUME MY TRAVEL AND ENTER A FREEWAY MY CAR WOULD NOT GO OVER 35 MILES PER HOUR UNTIL I HAD TO STOP AND SHUT OFF THE ENGINE AND RESTART , IT THEN FUNCTIONED AS IT SHOULD . THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED UPON ACCELERATION . I THEN REPORTED THIS TO GENERAL MOTORS CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND WAS TOLD TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER . I DID AND WAS TOLD THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG , AND FAILED TO REPAIR. UPON RESEARCHING I HAVE FOUND THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS 2011 CADILLAC SRX.THERE ARE REPORTS ON A CADILLAC USER FORUM THAT HAVE HAD THE TRANSMISSION COMPUTER MODULE REFLASHED AS A SOLUTION . I HAVE MENTIONED THIS TO CAVENDER CADILLAC OF SAN ANTONIO BUT THEY REFUSED TO ATTEMPT THIS SOLUTION . *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE I BOUGHT CAR WITH 9000 MILES ON IT THE DEALER CLAIMS IT IS THE TRANSMISSION LEARNING YOUR DRIVING HABITS, I DO NOT AGREE. WHAT HAPPENS IS AT ANY GIVEN TIME WHEN THE ACCELERATOR IS PUSHED THE ENGINE/TRANSMISSION WILL HESITATE. THIS IS HAPPENING WITH MORE FREQUENCY AND MORE LAG TIME. IT DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU ARE MERGING AT 50 MPH OR TURNING RIGHT ON RED. THE DEALER ALSO CLAIMS THIS IS A COMMON COMPLAINT. AS A ASE CERTIFIED MASTER ADVANCE LEVEL TECHNICIAN WITH 35 YEARS EXPERIENCE I BELIEVE THIS IS A SOFTWARE OR PROGRAMING PROBLEM AND CAN ONLY BE REPAIRED BY GM ,BUT DOUBT THAT WILL HAPPEN TILL PEOPLE DIE. THESE CARS ARE LOSING A LOT OF RESALE VALUE AS THIS PROBLEM CONTINUES TO GROW AND IS MORE WELL KNOWN, THIS I LEARNED FIRST HAND WHEN I TRIED TO TRADE-IN FOR NEW.
PROBLEMS WITH COMPLETION/DOCUMENTATION OF TWO RECALLS: MY DEALER (HENDRIX CADILLAC, DURHAM NC) CLAIMED TODAY, 14 NOV 2014, THAT THEY HAD ALREADY RESOLVED NHTSA RECALL 14V571000 (GM 14457) ON THE REAR SUSPENSION OF MY CAR ON 02 OCT 2014. HOWEVER, I ONLY GOT THE RECALL NOTICE IN EARLY NOVEMBER, WHEN GM'S LETTER SAID THAT PARTS WOULDN'T BE AVAILABLE UNTIL AT LEAST 10 NOV 2014. (REPORT DATE IS LATE SEPT 2014.) ON 02 OCT 2014, THE DEALER HAD TOLD ME THEY HAD THAT DAY RESOLVED NHTSA 14V447000 (GM 14271) ON THE FRONT SEAT ADJUSTERS OF MY CAR. TODAY THE DEALER TELLS ME THAT RECALL IS STILL PENDING FOR LACK OF SOLUTION, EVEN THOUGH THE REPORT DATE WAS JULY 2014. HAVE THEY MIXED UP THE TWO RECALLS? I AM CONCERNED THAT MY CAR IS NOT SAFE. *TR
I WAS TURNING SOUTH WITH A GREEN ARROW WHEN THE SECOND DRIVER RAN A RED LIGHT TRAVELING EAST AND WE COLLIDED. HE WAS TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 40-45 MILES PER HOUR AND I WAS TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 30 MILES AN HOUR. OUR IMPACT WAS SOMEWHAT OF A T-INCIDENT WITH THE FRONT END OF MY CAR DAMAGED AND HIS CAR ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE DAMAGED. MY AIR BAGS DID NOT INFLATE, EVEN THOUGH WE BELIEVE THE IMPACT WAS AT THE ANGLE AND THE REQUIRED SPEED OF VEHICLES TO INFLATE THEM. THE AIR BAGS IN THE SECOND DRIVER'S CAR (FORD FOCUS) DID INFLATE. *TR
PULLED INTO GET GAS AND COULD NOT PUT CAR IN PARK OR ANY OTHER GEAR. CAR HAD TO BE TOWED TO DEALER. THE EXACT PROBLEM WAS IDENTIFIED IN 2011 AND GM IS STATING THAT MY VEHICLE IS NOT A PART OF THE RECALL WHEN IT IS THE EXACT ISSUE. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT CONDENSATION ENTERED THE HEADLIGHT UNIT AND CAUSED THEM TO FAIL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

AS A RESULT, THE LIGHT BECAME SO DIM THAT IT LOOKED AS IF ONLY ONE HEADLIGHT WAS ACTIVATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE ON THE VEHICLE WAS 67,511.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CADILLAC SRX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM FAILED TO WORK AND INDICATED THAT THE ROUTE CALCULATED WAS INCORRECT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER IN CANADA WHO UPDATED THE SOFTWARE AND INSTALLED A NEW ANTENNA; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER IN THE UNITED STATES WHO PROVIDED A SOFTWARE UPDATE AND THE ECM CONTROLS WERE REPLACED, BUT THE REPAIRS DID NOT REMEDY THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION NOTICE FROM THE MANUFACTURER, WHICH WAS UNABLE TO BE HONORED SINCE THE VEHICLE HAD A SALVAGED TITLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000.

I PULLED OUT OF A PARKING SPOT AND THEN SUDDENLY MY CAR JOLTED TO A STOP. I HAD HEARD A SNAPPING NOISE AND THE CAR WOULDN'T MOVE FORWARD OR BACKWARDS. I LOOKED AT MY TIRE ONLY TO FIND IT WAS BOWED IN TOWARDS MY CAR INSTEAD OF AWAY FROM IT SINCE THE WHEEL SHOULD HAVE BEEN TURNED AWAY FROM THE CAR. UPON FURTHER REVIEW THE TIRE ROD HAD SNAPPED. IF THE TIRE ROD COULD EASILY SNAP AS I WAS SIMPLY PULLING OUT OF A PARKING SPOT THEN IT COULD HAVE EASILY SNAPPED WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY WHICH WOULD HAVE RESULTED IN INJURIES TO MYSELF AND MY CHILD. *TR
