EXPERIENCED SEVERAL INSTANCES OF VEHICLE BEING VERY HESITANT TO ACCELERATE WHICH IS DANGEROUS WHEN TRYING TO ENTER INTERSTATE TRAFFIC. BEING TOLD THAT THIS IS JUST A CHARACTERISTIC OF THE TYPE OF ENGINE IS NOT A GOOD OR PROFESSIONAL RESPONSE. NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BY CADILLAC. *TR
OUR CAR WAS PARKED AND EXPOSED TO THE HOT SOUTH FLORIDA SUN FOR OVER 6 HOURS. WHEN MY PARTNER ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE HOME, THE CAR FELT LIKE THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED. THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE ABOVE 30 MPH EVEN THOUGH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS CONSIDERABLY DEPRESSED. HE DROVE APPROXIMATELY 1 MILE WHEN SMOKE EMANATED FROM THE FRONT OF OUR VEHICLE. HE CALLED FOR SERVICE AND THE CAR WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. DEALER COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM. THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE IS EXPOSED TO HOT TEMPS FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME. REPORTED TO DEALER AT LEAST THREE TIMES AND HAS HAPPENED, WITHOUT REPORTING, AN ADDITIONAL 4 OR 5 TIMES. NO RESOLUTION AS OF THIS DATE. DEALER INSPECTION HAS SHOWN EXCESSIVE WEAR ON THE BRAKES. WE TRY AT ALL TIMES TO KEEP OUR CAR IN THE GARAGE OR UNDER COVERED PARKING TO AVOID FURTHER INSTANCES. *TR
I HAD A BLOW OUT ON THE OHIO TURNPIKE. IT WAS AT THAT TIME I FIRST CAME TO KNOW CADILLAC NO LONGER PROVIDED SPARE TIRES AS STANDARD EQUIPMENT. THERE IS A PUMP INCLUDED WHICH IS USELESS IN THE CASE OF A BLOW OUT. THE ISSUE IS HOW CAN CADILLAC BE ALLOWED TO SELL CARS WITH OUT SPARE TIRES. IT IS OBVIOUSLY A SAFETY DEVICE THAT SHOULD BE MANDATORY. *TR
DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT 45 MPH AND ENGINE DIES. COMPLETE LOSE OF ENGINE POWER, STEERING AND BRAKING. HAS HAPPENED TWICE. CAN ONLY IMAGINE WHAT WOULD HAPPENED IF I HAD BEEN DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AT 70 MPH. DID MANAGE TO MANHANDLE THE CAR TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. *TR
HEADLIGHTS CONSTANTLY FOGGY ON INSIDE. BULB BRIGHTNESS INADEQUATE FOR NIGHT TIME DRIVING. DANGEROUS! *TR
I WAS DRIVING ON EAST BOUND ON M50 AT NIGHT AND I CAME TO THE LIGHTS OF CHRISTMAS DISPLAY AT HIDDEN LAKE GARDENS A PART OF MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY. AS I APPROACHED HIDDEN LAKE GARDENS I TURNED LEFT INTO THE DRIVEWAY TO DISCOVER THAT I HAD DRIVEN INTO THE EXIT INSTEAD OF THE ENTRANCE A FEW FEET DOWN THE ROAD. THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT, JUST A FEW WORDS FROM THOSE EXITING AS TO MY STUPIDITY, WHICH WAS REALLY A FAULT OF THE POOR ILLUMINATION OF MY HEADLIGHTS ON MY CADILLAC. THIS CAR HAS THE POOREST QUALITY LOW BEAMS OF ANY CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED IN THE LAST 40 YEARS I COULD NOT USE MY HIGH BEAMS AS I HAD TRAFFIC COMING AT ME. CADILLAC MAINTAINS THAT THE HEADLIGHTS ARE GOOD, BUT THE FACT IS THEY ARE INFERIOR, THEY KNOW IT AND WILL NOT SPEND THE MONEY TO CORRECT IT. I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE FRONT OF THE CAR TO REPLACE THE HEADLIGHTS. IN ADDITION AS YOU LOOK AT THE CAR, YOU WOULD THINK THAT IT HAS THE "HID" LAMPS IN IT AS THEY MADE IT APPEAR THAT IT HAS. THE FACT IS IT HAS A FILAMENT LIGHT BULB THAT HAS VERY LITTLE POWER. I WOULD LIKE YOU TO ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM FROM EXPERTS IN THE LIGHTING INDUSTRY AND FORCE CADILLAC TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. ONLY TWO MODELS ARE AFFECTED THE "BASE" AND THE "LUXURY" THE "PERFORMANCE" AND "PREMIUM" MODEL OF THE SAME CAR HAVE THE XENON "HID" HEADLIGHTS WHICH ARE VERY POWERFUL.. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CADILLAC SRX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SERVICE REAR AXLE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THERE WAS A DEFECT WITH THE REAR AXLE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED ON TEN SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE VERY DIM. THEY DO NOT REACH OUT LIKE THEY SHOULD. DEALER TELLS ME THAT'S THE WAY THEY ARE, I DO NOT FEEL THEY ARE SAFE!!! *TR
AUTOMATIC REAR DOOR OPENED AFTER I CLOSED IT; CONSEQUENTLY I UNKNOWINGLY RAMMED IN TO THE GARAGE DOOR AS I BACKED OUT OF MY GARAGE AND AFTERWARD IT CONTINUED TO OPEN AS I TRIED TO CLOSE IT. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. A FEW MONTHS AGO ON VACATION THE BELL HOP WAS HELPING TO PACK MY LUGGAGE AND THE DOOR KEPT TRYING TO SHUT ON HIM (3X), IT NEARLY CRUSHED HIM. THIS RECENT INCIDENT DID SERIOUS DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE AND MINIMAL DAMAGE TO THE GARAGE DOOR. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CADILLAC SRX. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE LOW BEAM HEAD LAMPS FAILED TO FULLY ILLUMINATE AND DIMINISHED THE CONTACT'S VISIBILITY. THE CONTACT HAD TO ACTIVATE THE HIGH BEAMS IN ORDER TO INCREASE VISIBILITY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.
FROM A COMPLETE STOP, ATTEMPTING TO PULL OUT INTO TRAFFIC, VEHICLE EXHIBITS LAG OR HESITATION WHEN ACCELERATING, EVEN WITH ACCELERATOR PUSHED TO THE FLOOR. THIS SITUATION HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BECOME A SAFETY ISSUE IN THE EVENT A DRIVER IS UNABLE TO ACCELERATE ADEQUATELY WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC. VEHICLE HAS THE 3.0L VVT DOHC V6 SIDI ENGINE WITH A 6-SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, ALL WHEEL DRIVE (AWD). THANK YOU. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CADILLAC SRX. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS ON AN INCLINE, THE CONTACT REMOVED HER FOOT FROM THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE VEHICLE ROLLED BACKWARDS WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS DID NOT ILLUMINATE BRIGHTLY ENOUGH. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.
SOMETIMES WHEN ACCELERATING IT BOGS DOWN. DANGEROUS WHEN YOU NEED PULL OUT IN TRAFFIC. TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP AT LEAST 5 TIMES. THEY CHECKED CODES. NEVER COULD GET IT TO REPEAT AT DEALERSHIPS.
HEADLIGHTS GO DIM TO ALMOST ALL THE WAY OFF HAVE CHANGED BULBS TWICE, AFTER A COUPLE OF WEEKS LIGHTS GO DIM AGAIN
I HAVE A TURBOCHARGED SRX. I WAS ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A TURN ONTO A ROAD, AS I HIT THE ACCELERATOR, THE VEHICLE HESITATED FOR A SIGNIFICANT TIME, AS IF THE TRANSMISSION WAS DISENGAGED. AFTER A SECOND OR TWO, IT SUDDENLY ENGAGED. ADDITIONALLY, THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO QUICKLY INCREASE SPEED, AND FELT SIGNIFICANT HESITATION. THIS IS ESPECIALLY DANGEROUS WHEN PULLING ON TO A ROAD WITH HIGH SPEED TRAFFIC ON IT, THE VEHICLE IS UNRESPONSIVE TO FAST ACCELERATION. SOMETIMES THERE IS EVEN A REVVING, AND A SUDDEN "BANG" AS THE TRANSMISSION ENGAGES. I SPOKE TO THE DEALER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. I WAS TOLD THIS DEALERSHIP DID NOT SELL THE TURBOCHARGED VERSION OF THIS VEHICLE BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE, AND NOTHING COULD BE DONE, BUT THEY WERE AWARE OF IT. THE SERVICE MANAGER INDICATED HE HAD ONE OTHER VEHICLE LIKE MINE SERVICED AT HIS FACILITY WHICH HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEMS, BUT THEY COULD DO NOTHING. NOT SURE OF THE PERCENTAGE OF 2011 SRX'S WITH THE TURBOCHARGER, BUT I EXPECT IT IS LOW, AND WAS DISCONTINUED IN 2012. NOT HAVING THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE ESPECIALLY IN FRONT OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC BEHIND YOU IS INHERENTLY DANGEROUS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CADILLAC SRX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH WHEN HE NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVING AWKWARDLY. THE CONTACT MOVED OFF THE ROADWAY AND DISCOVERED THAT THE TIRE HAD BECOME FLAT FROM BEING PUNCTURED BY A SHARD IN THE ROAD. THE CONTACT WENT INSIDE HIS TRUNK HE FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS NO SPARE TIRE IN THE VEHICLE, BUT INSTEAD A CAN OF FIX A FLAT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC IN WHICH THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE WAS REPLACED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND THEY ADVISED HIM THAT THE VEHICLE CAME EQUIPPED WITH THE OPTION OF A SPARE TIRE OR THE INFLATION DEVICE. THE CONTACT WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH THE OPTIONS AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 33,352. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
2011 CADILLAC SRX. CONSUMER STATES THAT THE BLIND SPOT OFF THE RIGHT QUARTER PANEL HAS ALMOST CAUSED HIM TO BE IN THREE ACCIDENTS. *KB

THE FAILURE RECURRED WHENEVER THE CONTACT WOULD DRIVE WITH HEADLIGHTS ACTIVATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000. 2011 CADILLAC SRX. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO UNSAFE VEHICLE AND REPAIRS *TGW THE CONSUMER WANTED TO EXPRESS HER DISSATISFACTION ABOUT RECEIVING A RECALL NOTICE. THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN RELEASED AND SOLD TO THE PUBLIC WITH SUCH A DANGEROUS DEFECT.
THE FIRST OCCURRENCE WAS IN SEPTEMBER 2011. I WAS HEADED TO ITALY AND HAD TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE TO ATLANTA SO IT COULD BE INSPECTED AND SHIPPED. THE DAY BEFORE I RECEIVED A TOTAL SERVICE FROM THE DEALERSHIP. THAT MORNING I PULLED INTO THE GAS STATION TO GET GAS. AS I TRIED TO PULL OFF, THE STABILI TRAK LIGHT AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. I IMMEDIATELY TURNED THE CAR OFF AND WAITED A FEW MINUTES BEFORE TURNING IT BACK ON. AFTER TURNING THE CAR ON I WAS ABLE TO PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE AND CONTINUE ON MY TRIP. THE STABILI TRAK LIGHT TURNED OFF HOWEVER THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT REMAINED ON. I LATER CALLED THE DEALERSHIP HOWEVER, THEY COULD NOT STATE WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS AND INSTRUCTED ME TO RESET THE VEHICLE BY TURNING IT OFF AND TURNING IT BACK ON AFTER A COUPLE OF MINUTES. IT HAPPENED ONE OTHER TIME WHILE IN ITALY AND I DID WHAT THE DEALERSHIP SUGGESTED AND RESET THE VEHICLE. IT SEEMED TO BE A TEMPORARY FIX. SINCE RETURNING BACK TO THE STATES, AND BEING IN MY CURRENT RESIDENCE FOR OVER A YEAR, I BEGAN TO RECEIVE SAFETY RECALLS THAT WERE DATED IN THE SUMMER OF 2014. I STARTED TO DO RESEARCH ON ALL RECALLS FOR THIS PARTICULAR MAKE AND MODEL AND FOUND ONE RELATING TO THE TRANSMISSION CABLE. MY CAR HAS ALL THE ISSUES RELATING TO THE RECALL HOWEVER MY CAR WAS NOT PLACED ON THE LIST. I BROUGHT THE MATTER UP TO A DEALERSHIP CLOSE TO MY LOCATION AND WAS TOLD I WOULD BE HELD LIABLE FOR THE DEFECTS AS THE TRANSMISSION CABLE RECALL DID NOT RELATE TO MY VEHICLE. *TR
2 PROBLEMS CONTINUE TO PERSIST. ONE IS THE LOCATION OF THE HOOD RELEASE HANDLE NEAR THE FLOOR INSIDE LEFT SIDE, WHERE THE DRIVER PUTS HIS LEFT FOOT ON THE FLOOR WHILE DRIVING. MOVING THE FOOT BACK, THE LEFT SOLE EDGE WILL CATCH THE HANDLE AND RELEASE IT CAUSING THE HOOD TO POP UP TO THE SAFETY CATCH. AT HIGH SPEEDS I'M AFRAID OF THE SAFETY CATCH FAILING ALLOWING THE HOOD TO POP OPEN CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. SECONDLY; THIS VEHICLE HAS TOO MANY BLIND SPOTS THAT CAN EASILY CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. THE ROOF POST BETWEEN THE DRIVERS DOOR AND REAR PASSENGER IS A GOOD EXAMPLE OF WHAT I MEAN. A VEHICLE CAN BE ALMOST ALONG SIDE OF YOU, OUT OF SITE AND YOU WONT SEE IT UNLESS YOU TURN YOUR HEAD AROUND ALMOST LOOKING BACKWARDS.THE MIRROR DOES NOT PICK UP THE VEHICLE UNTIL IT'S NOSE IS BY MY DOOR. THAT MOVE CREATES ANOTHER PROBLEM OF HITTING SOME ONE UP AHEAD. I HAVE NOT NOTIFIED THE DEALER BECAUSE I DON'T EXPECT THEY WILL DO ANY THING; FROM PAST EXPERIENCE I KNOW. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CADILLAC SRX. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH WHEN AN OPPOSING VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE SIDE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY WITH THE IMPACT AND THE CONTACT SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER COLLISION CENTER. THERE WAS A RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 11V308000 (AIR BAGS: SIDE/WINDOW) AND THE CONTACT PLANNED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE REPAIRED UNDER THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000. UPDATED 07/20/11 *BF
ON THE 2011 CADILLAC SRX THERE IS NO WARNING SOUNDED IF YOU LEAVE YOUR KEYLESS IGNITION RUNNING AND LEAVE THE VEHICLE. YESTERDAY, I INADVERTENTLY LEFT THE VEHICLE RUNNING AND THE CAR DID NOT BEEP OR GIVE ME ANY INDICATION THAT I HAD DONE SO. THESE KEYLESS IGNITION SYSTEMS ARE VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY LEAVE THE CAR RUNNING IN THE GARAGE YOU COULD INADVERTENTLY CAUSE A CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING SITUATION. IT IS A VERY UNSAFE FEATURE THAT COULD BE CORRECTED WITH A SIMPLE WARNING SIGNAL. THERE NEEDS TO BE SOME TYPE OF WARNING, A CAR HORN BEEP OR SOMETHING TO LET THE DRIVER KNOW THAT THE VEHICLE IS RUNNING WHEN THE DRIVER LEAVES THE VEHICLE. *TR
I DID THIS IN MY LAST CAR (GM-YUKON) SO I RE-ENACTED TO SEE IF IT WOULD HAPPEN IN MY NEW CAR (SRX): I USE MY KEY FOB TO OPEN ONLY THE HATCH-BACK WHEN WALKING UP TO LOCKED CAR. I LAY MY PURSE (WITH KEY-FOB AND CELL PHONE IN IT) IN THE BACK WHILE UNLOADING GROCERIES, ETC., AND THEN CLOSE THE HATCH. I AM LOCKED OUT OF THE CAR. THE CAR DOESN'T CHIRP TO LET ME KNOW THE KEY-FOB IS THE CAR AFTER CLOSING AS IT DOES WHEN I CLOSE THE DOORS UP FRONT WHILE UNLOCKED. I THINK THIS IS A SAFETY COMPLAINT BECAUSE I COULD BE LOCKED OUT AT NIGHT IN A PARKING LOT WITHOUT A PHONE OR MONEY FOR A PAY PHONE TO CALL FOR HELP. I ALSO THINK THAT KEY-FOBS SHOULD HAVE A HOLE IN THE CAR TO PLUG IT INTO. WOMEN TEND TO KEEP KEYS IN PURSE, NOT ON THEIR BODY.
HEADLIGHTS VERY LOW. CAN'T SEE ROAD AT NIGHT . ON COMING VECHICLES HONK THEIR HORN AT YOU CAUSE THEY THINK YOUR LIGHTS ARE OFF. HAVE TO DRIVE ON HIGH BEAMS. KEEP HAVING TO REPLACE BULBS.
I PARKED MY 2011 CADILLAC MODEL SRX IN THE GARAGE AND WALKED AWAY FROM IT AND CLOSED MY GARAGE DOOR. ONE HOUR LATER I OPENED THE GARAGE DOOR AND THE VEHICLE ROLLED DOWN MY DRIVEWAY AND OVER A CURB AND HIT A TREE. THE CAR WAS IN DRIVE. ON A NORMAL AUTOMOBILE THERE THE DRIVER NEEDS TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK IN ORDER TO REMOVE THE KEY. THIS FEATURE IS PRETTY UNIVERSAL IN EVERY CAR I HAVE OPERATED. THIS FEATURE IS NOT INCORPORATED IN MY NEW CADILLAC. IT USES AN ELECTRONIC KEY THAT DOES THAT CAN REMAIN IN YOUR POCKET. THERE WAS NO INDICATION THAT I WAS LEAVING THE CAR IN DRIVE VICE PARK. IF A CHILD HAD BEEN IN MY DRIVEWAY THIS ACCIDENT COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH WORSE. THE DAMAGES TO MY CAR WERE $2132.89 AND THE LOSS ON 10 DAYS USE OF THE CAR. *TR
TRANSMISSION SHIFTING DELAY IS A ISSUE, CONTINUOUSLY, FROM DAY ONE . I COMPLAINED TO THE DEALER MANY TIMES, NOTHING COULD BE DONE. ON A FEW OCCASIONS THIS DELAY MADE ME PRETTY SCARY AND DANGEROUS. I KNOW THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR 2012 AND NEWER MODELS FOR SIMILAR PROBLEM.
I HAVE NOTICED SLOW SHIFTING TO HIGHER GEAR ALMOST FROM DAY ONE. IT IS MOST NOTICEABLE WHEN DRIVING DOWN HILL AND APPROACHING RED TRAFFIC LIGHT AND DECELERATING, THEN LIGHT TURN GREEN AND I WANT TO ACCELERATE AND I NOTICE HESITATION ( DISENGAGEMENT ) TO A DEGREE THAT MY UPPER BODY ACTUALLY MOVES FORWARD. THAT HESITATION OR DELAY IS DANGEROUS WHEN I AM ENTERING EXPRESSWAY AND I NEED TO ACCELERATE QUICKLY, TO ESCAPE FAST APPROACHING SEMI-TRUCK. I MENTIONED THAT ISSUE TO THE DEALER I PURCHASED SRX FROM AND MY REGULAR SERVICING DEALER BUT EACH TIME I AM TOLD THAT IS THE WAY THIS TRANSMISSION IS. WITH RE-CALL INVOLVING 2013 SRX FOR THIS PROBLEM, I BELIEVE PREVIOUS MODELS 2-11 AND 2012 SHOULD BE INCLUDED BECAUSE IT IS DANGEROUS AT TIMES. *TR

THE HEADLIGHTS - LOW BEAM - ARE THE WORST. I'VE BEEN DRIVING FOR OVER 40 YEARS. WHEN I COMPLAINED TO THE DEALERSHIP (CRESTVIEW CADILLAC - WEST COVINA, CA) THAT THEY WERE SO BAD I BELIEVED IT IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT, THEY SAID THEY DIDN'T GET ANY COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER DRIVERS! I HAVE TO USE MY HIGH BEAMS ALL THE TIME TO BE SAFE. I HAVE HAD PASSENGERS TELL ME I DON'T HAVE MY HEADLAMPS ON!! IT'S A VERY REAL PROBLEM. I HAVE FOUND SEVERAL COMPLAINT PAGES ON LINE. WHEN THE HEADLIGHTS ARE ON THE NORMAL SETTING, THEY BARELY LIGHT UP THE ROAD AHEAD. THE BRIGHTS MUST BE TURNED ON IN ORDER TO SEE ANYTHING.
THE HEADLIGHTS NEVER HAVE WORKED RIGHT. FROM DAY ONE, THEY NEVER PUT OUT ENOUGH LIGHT TO SEE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. THEY COME ON, BUT YOU CANNOT SEE UNLESS YOU TURN ON THE BRIGHTS.

THE DEALER SAID THAT THE FAILURE WAS DANGEROUS, BUT THAT WAS HOW THE VEHICLE WAS DESIGNED. THE CONTACT WAS GIVEN A LOANER VEHICLE WHILE THE DEALER SPEAKS TO THE MANUFACTURER TO SEE WHAT COULD BE DONE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 700.
REAR SUSPENSION OVER THE SMALLEST DROP IN PAVEMENT SMOOTHNESS CAUSES HEAVY NOISE WHICH FEELS LIKE IT'S BOTTOMING OUT, THE NOISE IS EXTREMELY LOUD AND DISCONCERTING. ALL PASSENGERS SO FAR HAVE COMMENTED ON IT. CADILLAC SAYS THIS IS NORMAL (THE BOTTOMING OUT SOUND) THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR A CAR OF THIS COST. WHILE DRIVING MY 2011 CADILLAC SRX, AWD PREMIUM EDITION WITH LESS THAN 1000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER I EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM. DRIVING AT INTERSTATE SPEED WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 74 MPH. THE TRANSMISSION SUDDENLY FELT LIKE IT SHIFTED ITSELF INTO NEUTRAL, TACHOMETER RED LINED AT 6950 RPM, AND I LOST ALL FORWARD DRIVE. WHILE STILL IN AUTO MODE WITH DRIVE GEAR SELECTED THE VEHICLE HAD NO RESPONSE TO THROTTLE INPUT. THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SLOW LEAVING ME IN A VERY DANGEROUS POSITION OF TRYING TO GET TO THE SHOULDER WITHOUT GETTING RAN OVER BY ONCOMING TRAFFIC UPON SAFELY EXITING THE INTERSTATE I CONTACTED ONSTAR FOR AN INSTANT VEHICLE DIAGNOSTIC. THE TECH INSTRUCTED ME THAT HE WAS VIEWING 3 SEPARATE PROBLEM CODES 1-MOTOR, 2-TRANSMISSION. AFTER THE TECH ADVISED ME THAT I COULD DRIVE THE VEHICLE I CHOOSE TO STAY ON TWO LANE LESS TRAVELED ROADWAY TO ATTEMPT TO GET TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC. AFTER TWO DAYS THE DEALER CONTACTED ME TO ADVISE THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM, THEY WERE IN CONTACT WITH GM POWERTRAIN DIVISION THROUGH OUT THE REPAIR ATTEMPT. THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO ME AFTER TWO DAYS. AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE FOR AN ADDITIONAL TWO WEEKS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM STILL OCCURRING I AGAIN RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WITH THE SAME COMPLAINT. AFTER SEVERAL DAYS THE DEALER CALLED TO INFORM ME THAT GM POWERTRAIN INSTRUCTED THEM TO REMOVE THE TRANSMISSION, AND TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY AND RETURN IT TO THEM, AND THAT THEY WOULD BE REPLACING IT WITH A BRAND NEW ASSEMBLY. *TR

AIR CONDITIONER MAKES A LOUD NOISE AND CAN BE HEARD FROM A FAR DISTANCE. WE HAVE TRIED 3X TO HAVE REPAIRED AND NO ONE WILL FIX PROBLEM. THE LAST SERVICE MANAGER CHANGED THE BLOWER AND THE CAR MADE MORE NOISE AFTER CHANGING THIS PART. WE HAVE YET TO DRIVE CAR FOR A FULL MONTH DUE TO BEING IN SHOP ON THREE OCCASIONS. *TR
