Low beam headlights became really dim making it hard to drive after dark. Headlights show water intrusion (water droplets, fogging) at times. Replacing the headlight bulbs with brighter LED bulbs did not improve the visibility. Necessity to use high beam often is a risk to opposing traffic.
HEADLIGHTS ARE DIM WITH MOISTURE INSIDE THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. HAD REPLACE ONCE AND PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. UNABLE TO DRIVE IN LOW LIGHT OR DARKNESS DUE TO THE LACK OF ILLUMINATION. CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS PREVIOUSLY FILED NOTED THAT THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES FAIL DUE TO FAULTY GASKETS ALLOWING MOISTURE TO DAMAGE THE LAMPS TO FAILURE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2012 CADILLAC SRX. THE CONTACT DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING 65 MPH HIGHWAY WHILE RAINING THE VEHICLE HYDROPLAIN WHICH CAUSED THE CONTACT DAUGHTER TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. AND CRASHED INTO MEDIUM IN THE ROAD WHERE ANOTHER VEHICLE HIT THE CONTACT DAUGHTER VEHICLE IN THE REAR. THE CONTACT STATED NO FRONT AND REAR AIR BAGS DEPLOYED IN THE VEHICLE. NO MEDICAL ATTENTION AT THE SCENE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACTS DAUGHTER DID GO TO THE HOSPITAL TWO DAYS AFTER THE FAILURE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THEN THE CONTACT INSURANCE HAD IT TOWED TO DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE AS A TOTALED LOSS. NOW THE CONTACT JUST RECEIVE A RECALL NOTIFICATION FROM THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER IN REFERENCE TO REAR SUSPENSION TOE ADJUSTER LINK BEING LOOSE AND NOW THE CONTACT FEEL THAT WAS THE CAUSED TO THE FAILURE OF THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME HIS DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING.THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 153,014.
THIS CADILLAC HAS A RECALL ON THE FRONT LIGHTS BECOMING VERY DIM DUE TO MOISTURE BUILD UP WITHIN THE LIGHTS. THEY BECOME DIM WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND GOING FROM HIGH BEAM TO LOW BEAM.
The contact owns a 2012 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated that the brakes were replaced for routine services at a local dealer. The contact then stated that while driving at an unknown speed, she drove over a pothole and while attempt to stop the vehicle, the brakes failed to respond as needed. The contact stated that the brake failure reoccurred after driving over potholes and then depressing the brake pedal. The contact stated that no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic who was unable to determine the cause of the brake failure. The independent mechanic informed the contact that replacing the front brake pedals could possibly help with the brake failure. The front brake pedals were replaced; however, the failure reoccurred. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to another independent mechanic who was also unable to retrieve a fault code or determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.
AFTER GOING OVER A POTHOLE THE BRAKES SEEMED TO GIVE OUT. THE CAR WAS GOING AT A SPEED OF 20 MILES PER HOUR AND WAS APPROACHING A STOP SIGN. THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND THE CAR DID NOT COME TO A COMPLETE STOP. I HAVE SEEN THIS ISSUE REPORTED BY OTHER CADILLAC SRX OWNERS BUT THERE IS NOTHING ON THE CADILLAC WEBSITE REGARDING IT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CADILLAC SRX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH SMOKE BEGAN TO SUDDENLY FILL THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE SMOKE WAS PRESENT COMING FROM THE CEILING OF THE VEHICLE. AFTER STOPPING AND SHUTTING OFF THE ENGINE THE SMOKE SEIZED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN DRIVEN TO A NEARBY FIRE DEPARTMENT WHO EXAMINED THE VEHICLE AND DETERMINED THE BURNING WAS DUE TO AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. NO FIRE REPORT WAS TAKEN. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT YET NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 73,000.
THE NORMAL HEADLAMPS ON THE VEHICLE ARE EQUIVALENT TO A NIGHT LIGHT BULB. YOU CANNOT SEE WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT WITH THE NORMAL HEADLIGHTS ON. APPARENTLY THERE WAS A LAW SUIT FOR THIS, BUT THERE WAS ONLY A CERTAIN TIME PERIOD TO HAVE THE ISSUE FIXED AND IT WAS A REIMBURSEMENT SITUATION WITH A HEFTY OUT OF POCKET EXPENSE. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AFTER THE FACT, NOT KNOWING OF THIS PROBLEM. I WAS ADVISED BY A GM REPRESENTATIVE TO DRIVE WITH MY HIGH BEAMS ON TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM? IT WORKS, BUT OTHER DRIVERS ARE NOT HAPPY AS THEY FLASH THEIR LIGHTS AT US. WE HAVE NO OTHER SOLUTION, CANT SEE AND DONT HAVE THE $1600 WE WERE TOLD IT COSTS TO FIX THE ISSUE.
The low beam headlights are VERY dim, like driving with night light bulbs. Cannot see in dark, MUST drive with high beams on. Apparently there was a class action suit filed and settled on this matter already, but there was a time limit which we were unaware of.
WHEN I PURCHASE THIS VEHICLE USED I NOTICED I COULD NOT SEE AT NIGHT BECAUSE THE HEADLIGHTS WERE TOO DIM. I HAD THEM REPLACED AT A COST OF $1300. SEVERAL YEARS LATER I RECEIVED A LETTER SAYING I WOULD REIMBURSED BECAUSE OF YOUR LAWSUIT ABOUT THESE HEADLIGHTS. I FILED AND DID RECEIVE REIMBURSEMENT. HOWEVER, SEVERAL YEARS LATER ONE OF THE HEADLIGHTS FAILED AGAIN. A GOOGLE SEARCH REVEALED THAT THIS IS HAPPENING TOO MANY OF THESE VEHICLES AND PEOPLE ARE NOT GETTING REIMBURSED. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL.
MY HEADLIGHTS ARE VERY DIM AND UNABLE TO SEE CLEARLY AT NIGHT. IT APPEARS THAT MOISTURE HAS GOTTEN INTO THE HEADLIGHTS AND MAKING THE HEAD LAMPS NON VISABLE. I BELIEVE THIS WAS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT ABOUT THE DAMAGED HEADLAMPS. I CAN NOT DRIVE AT NIGHT.
HEADLIGHTS ARE SO DIM, I AM EITHER FORCED TO DRIVE WITH MY HIGH BEAMS ON CONSTANTLY OR NOT DRIVE AT NIGHT. WE LIVE IN THE COUNTRY, SO ROADS ARE DARK, BUT MY DIM LIGHTS ARE SO HORRIBLE I CAN'T SEE 2 FEET IN FRONT OF THE CAR. WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL NEAR MISSES WITH CARS BECAUSE I AM UNABLE TO SEE THE LANES ON THE ROAD. THIS IS HORRIBLE! SHE BOUGHT A LUXURY CAR AND WOULD BE BETTER OFF HANGING OUT OF THE WINDOW WITH A FLASHLIGHT TO SEE THAN USING MY DIM LIGHTS!
LOW VISION HEAD LIGHTS ARE NOT BRIGHT ENOUGH FOR NIGHT DRIVING HAVE TO USE HIGH BEAMS?
AFTER A HEAVY STORM, I ATTEMPTED TO START MY CAR THAT WAS PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY, BUT NOTHING IN THE CAR WOULD RESPOND TO THE KEY FOB OR PUSH TO START. AFTER JUMPING THE BATTERY, WE WERE ABLE TO START THE VEHICLE, HOWEVER, THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS WERE ERRATICALLY SHUTTING OFF AND RESTARTING. THE GAUGES AND SYSTEM LIGHTS KEPT BLINKING AND TURNING OFF. THE ENGINE BEGAN TO SMOKE, SO I TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF. THERE WAS A MUSTY SMELL WHICH PROVOKED ME TO SEARCH FOR WATER INTRUSION. THE FRONT FLOORBOARDS WERE SOAKING WET. I COULDN'T GET THE LIFTGATE OPEN, SO I CLIMBED INTO THE REAR AREA AND FOUND COMPARTMENTS THAT HAD STANDING WATER. THE REAR CARPETS WERE ALSO WET. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP, AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE STORM CAUSED DEBRI TO CLOG THE SUNROOF DRAINS CAUSING THE OVERFLOW PANS TO POUR INTO THE VEHICLE. THIS CAUSED THE LIFTGATE MODULE TO INITIATE A PERPETUAL SIGNAL TO THE BATTERY CAUSING IT TO DIE. I ALSO HAD WATER AND FOGGING BUILT UP IN THE HEADLIGHT COVERS REDUCING THE LAMP OUTPUT. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE, I FOUND THAT IT IS A VERY COMMON DESIGN FLAW THAT GM REFUSES TO ADMIT OR EVEN COVER REPAIRS BEYOND THE INITIAL MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY. THIS IS VERY DISCONCERTING BECAUSE I'M SURE THE ISSUE WILL HAPPEN AGAIN WHEN THERE'S A RAIN DOWNPOUR, AND IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THE WATER CORRODES THE LIFTGATE MODULE OR OTHER ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS. WATER AVOIDANCE IS NOT AN OPTION. I FEEL THAT GM SHOULD OWN THIS PROBLEM THEY CREATED AND PROVIDE A PERMANENT SOLUTION TO THE ISSUE.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THE ABS & TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS CAME ON. TOOK IN TO MECHANIC..NEEDED LEFT WHEEL SPEED SENSOR, REAR SHOCK, WHEEL BEARING AND HUB ASSEMBLY. ALL THIS WITH ACTUAL MILEAGE ON VEHICLE AT 79259 MILES. FEEL THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED ON THIS CAR AT THAT MILEAGE.
The low beam headlight is very dim and I can’t drive at night. I found out there was a recall sent out to owners to repair/replace the low-beam headlights. We didn’t own the vehicle at that time. Apparently the previous owner didn’t take care of. I reached out to Cadillac and GM.. I was told the cutoff for the repairs were May 28,2020. We purchased the vehicle September 3, 2020. It wasn’t an NTSB recall, but a class action. The letter sent to Cadillac owners was dated February 24, 2020. The local dealer gave me a copy but couldn’t do the repairs for reimbursement since the time frame had passed. Attached is the date we took ownership and a copy of the letter sent to owners. I explained to Cadillac and GM we didn’t own the car until after the deadline. No assistance to resolve. My husband and I are on a fixed income. The quote on the form indicates it about $800 per headlight. I see other owners have submitted the same issues. Please let me know if there is anything you can do. DRIVING SOUTH ON A CITY STREET. WHEN THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF. PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. MADE IT ANOTHER BLOCK AND THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF AGAIN. PULLED OVER AGAIN, AND THIS TIME VEHICLE WOULDN'T START. HAD TO GET IT TOWED TO MY MECHANIC. HAD A DIAGNOSIS DONE BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS IDLING ROUGH,CUTTING OFF, AND POOR EXCELLERATION. FOUND OUT THAT IT WAS CAMSHAFT SENSORS THAT WERE BAD. LOOKED ON YOUTUBE AND FOUND OUT MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE SAME VEHICLE AND ENGINE.(3.6) CADILLAC REFUSES TO DO A RECALL ON A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM. THEY NEED TO RECALL ALL OF THESE VEHICLES WITH THIS ENGINE AND FIX THIS PROBLEM. 2010 THRU 2016 CADILLAC SRX WITH THE 3.6 LITER V6. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS THING TO HAPPEN WHILE YOU DRIVING. COULD CAUSE ACCIDENT AND INJURY. SHAME ON YOU CADILLAC FOR NOT OWNING UP TO THIS DESIGN FLAW IN YOUR VEHICLES.
I WAS TAKING THINGS OUT OF MY REACH HATCH, AND IT SUDDENLY FELL ON ME WITHOUT WARNING, HURTING MY BACK AND ALMOST TRAPPING ME, IF MY WIFE WAS NOT PRESENT, I COULD NOT HAVE LIFTED THE HATCH . MY CHEST AND BACK HURT AND I COULD HAVE SUFFOCATED.
The headlights are so dim it’s a very bad safety issue. I’ve replaced them 3 times , still same problem. Everybody I have talked to has the same problem with theirs. Something has got to be done. I’m going to call the head of Cadillac if it doesn’t get resolved. My guesses keep blowing and it’s also wearing the tires out to quick
I WENT HELP A FAMILY MEMBER AT THEIR HOUSE. I GOT LATER IN THE DAY AND BY THE TIME I WAS READY TO LEAVE IT HAD BECOME DARK. BACKING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY I NOTICED THE THE VISIBILITY WAS POOR DUE TO THE BACK WINDOW BEING MUCH HIGHER THAN I WAS USED TO. I ONLY HAD THE VEHICLE A WEEK SO I USED THE MIRRORS MOSTLY AND FIGURED I WASN'T USE TO IT YET. WHEN I NOTICED THE HEADLIGHTS WERE VERY DIM, I THOUGHT I DID SOMETHING WRONG AND DIDN'T TURN THEM ON AND MAYBE THEY WERE IN "DAYLIGHT" DRIVING MODE. NOT BEING FAMILIAR WITH THE DASH BOARDS BUTTONS I WAS SCRAMBLING PUSH THE RIGHT HEADLIGHT SETTING, IT WAS ALSO RAINING PRETTY HARD NOTHING SEEMED TO HELP SO I JUST DROVE HOME VERY SLOWLY AND NERVOUS WONDERING WHY A 55 THOUSAND DOLLAR SUV HAD SUCH CRAPPY HEADLIGHTS, I READ A LOT COMPLAINTS ABOUT THEM RECENTLY AND REALIZED THAT IT WASN'T ME. THE FRONT LIGHTS WERE A MAJOR ISSUE OF COMPLAINT. I LIVE IN FLORIDA AND IT RAINS VERY HARD AND FAST HERE AND I RARELY GO ANYWHERE AT NIGHT. BUT I CAN'T GO THE REST OF MY LIFE ONLY DRIVING DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS ONLY, HAD I HAVE READ THOSE COMPLAINTS BEFORE BUYING IT I WOULD HAVE PROBABLY DISMISSED IT AS OVER EXAGGERATED WHINER THAT COMPLAINS ABOUT SILLY THINGS .BUT THIS IS VERY MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE OWNED SEVERAL CADILLACS IN THE PAST AND HAVE ALWAYS HAD NOTHING BUT GOOD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT THEM. BUT THIS IS GOING TO KILL SOME PEOPLE, I'M VERY SURPRISED IT HASN'T ALREADY. ALL THE TALK ABOUT MOISTURE GETTING IN SIDE IS NOT THE CASE WITH MINE. I BOUGHT IT USED AND IT DREW MY ATTENTION BECAUSE THE HEADLIGHT LENSES' WERE SHOWROOM CLEAR AND NOT LIKE A LOT OF THE PLASTIC LENS THAT ARE SUN OF WATER DAMAGED. SO ITS NOT THE LENS ISSUE WITH MINE IT JUST CRAPPY LIGHT BULBS, DESIGN, OR SOMETHING, BUT CADILLAC NEEDS TO FIX IT. I AM SHOCKED THAT IT HAS GONE THIS MANY YEARS WITHOUT MULTIPLE DEATHS. I NEVER COMPLAIN ABOUT ANYTHING BUT WOW! THIS IS BADDDD!!!
THE PROBLEM IS THAT 2010-2015 CADILLAC SRX HEADLIGHTS CAN EVENTUALLY DIM OR BURN OUT WHEN MOISTURE BECOMES TRAPPED IN THEM DUE TO FAULTY SEALS. THIS SEVERELY LIMITS VISIBLE DISTANCE AT NIGHT AND IS VERY DANGEROUS ON TYPICAL TEXAS WINDY ROADS ESPECIALLY IF THEY LACK STREET LIGHTS. SEVERAL STATES, INCLUDING CALIFORNIA AND FLORIDA, HAVE CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS AGAINST CADILLAC FOR THIS PROBLEM. CADILLAC RECOGNIZES THE PROBLEM, BUT WILL NOT ISSUE A RECALL. INSTEAD, AS A 2012 CADILLAC SRX CUSTOMER, I RECEIVED A LETTER IN FEBRUARY NOTIFYING ME THAT THE EXPENSE OF REPLACING THE HEADLIGHTS WOULD BE REIMBURSED IF I GOT THE WORK DONE AND RETURNED THE CLAIM FORM WITH SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION BY 5/28/2020. I HAD THE WORK DONE ON 5/15 AT A COST OF $1,261.15 AND MAILED MY PAPERWORK FOR REIMBURSEMENT. I HAVE SEVERAL CONCERNS. FIRST, DIM HEADLIGHTS ARE A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION IN MANY CIRCUMSTANCES.FREQUENTLY, I USED MY BRIGHTS TO SEE A SHORT DISTANCE. THIS COULD BLIND ONCOMING DRIVERS AND CAUSE INJURY TO THEM AS WELL AS CADILLAC CUSTOMERS. SHOCKED THE CAR PASSES STATE INSPECTION, IT IS THAT BAD. RECENTLY I STAYED OVERNIGHT IN A HOTEL IN MISSOURI RATHER THAN DRIVE AT NIGHT THROUGH OKLAHOMA ON DARK, WINDY HIGHWAY 69 BACK HOME TO COLLIN COUNTY. SECOND, CADILLAC NEVER ISSUED A RECALL. A RECALL WOULD NOT REQUIRE AN UPFRONT CUSTOMER CASH OUTLAY. FINALLY, I HAVE READ THAT THE HEADLIGHTS ARE BEING REPLACED WITH PARTS THAT HAVE THE SAME MOISTURE SUSCEPTIBILITY, SO THE DIM HEADLIGHTS PROBLEM CAN EVENTUALLY RETURN. I THINK THIS ISSUE SHOULD BE RESOLVED WITH AN IMMEDIATE RECALL, WITH DEFECT FREE PARTS AND WITH NO CUSTOMER CASH OUTLAY, JUST LIKE ANY OTHER CAR SAFETY RECALL. IN THE EVENT THE PARTS CANNOT BE SOURCED, CADILLAC SHOULD PROVIDE A COMPARABLE REPLACEMENT LOANER VEHICLE AT NO COST TO THE CUSTOMER. *TR
SINCE PURCHASING CAR AS CERTIFIED USED FROM DEALERSHIP IN JANUARY 2020, THE OVERLY DIM LOW BEAMS HAVE BEEN AN ISSUE. CAN HARDLY SEE AT NIGHT, ESPECIALLY IN INCLEMENT WEATHER. I IMMEDIATELY FLAGGED THE PROBLEM, AND DEALERSHIP CHANGED OUT BULBS WHILE UNDER WARRANTY. THE PROBLEM CONTINUED. WELL, THE LOW VISIBILITY ULTIMATELY PARTICIPATED IN A RECENT RUN IN WITH A BEAR. CLEAR NIGHT, DRY ROADS, JUST DIMINISHED VISION. I JUST COULD NOT SEE THE MASSIVE, BLACK BODY OF THE ANIMAL CROSSING THE DARK ROAD. IT RESULTED IN $9000 PLUS IN DAMAGES. MIRACULOUSLY, I WAS NOT SERIOUSLY INJURED IN THE CRASH, AND INSURANCE COVERED THE CLAIM. NOW THAT IT HAS BEEN REPAIRED AND I AM BACK BEHIND THE WHEEL, I AM PETRIFIED TO HAVE A RE-OCCURRENCE. GM SHOULD RECALL PERTAINING VEHICLES AND SUCK UP THE COST TO INSTALL HID/LED HOUSING AND BULBS. IT IS UNCONSCIONABLE THAT, AFTER ALL THE COMPLAINTS AND CONCERNS ABOUT THIS KNOWN ISSUE, GM IS NOT APPROACHING THIS AS A VERY SERIOUS RISK TO SAFETY AND THAT LIVES MAY HAVE TO BE LOST BEFORE ACTION IS TAKEN. A LETTER WAS SENT TO ME BY CADILLAC RELATED TO HEADLIGHTS THAT GOT MOISTURE IN THEM AND BECAME CLOUDY. IT SAID THEY WOULD PAY TO HAVE THIS FIXED FOR 1 OR BOTH HEADLIGHTS WHETHER THE PROBLEM HAD HAPPENED OR NOT YET. I HAD JUST PAID $1,600.00 TO HAVE 1 HEADLIGHT REPLACED DUE TO THIS VERY PROBLEM. THE LETTER SAID I WOULD BE REIMBURSED IF I HAD ALREADY PAID TO FIX PROBLEM. I BROUGHT CAR AND LETTER TO MY CADILLAC DEALERSHIP GARLAND CADILLAC AT 972-840-4100. I SHOWED THEM EVERYTHING AND THEY SAID THEY DID NOT USE THE PARTS TO FIX MY CAR THAT WERE LISTED ON THE LETTER TO ME. I ASKED FOR A COPY OF MY BILL WITH THE PARTS THEY USED ON IT SO I COULD CALL CADILLAC AND GOT THAT. WHEN I LATER LOOKED IN MY PAPERWORK THE LETTER CADILLAC SENT ME WAS MISSING, PRESUMABLY KEPT BY THE DEALERSHIP WHEN I WAS THERE. I KNOW DUE TO COVID EVERYTHING WAS EXTENDED AS FAR AS TIME FRAMES. I NEED HELP WITH HAVING ANOTHER COPY OF THE LETTER SENT TO ME, HAVING THE THE DEALERSHIP REIMBURSE ME FOR THE REPAIR OF THE 1 HEADLIGHT, AND IN CASE THE 2ND HEADLIGHT DEVELOPS AN ISSUE BEING ABLE TO GO BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT FIXED. THE POWER LIFTGATE ON MY 2012 CADILLAC SRX DROPPED (CLOSED) ALL BY ITSELF WITH NO WARNING WHILE I WAS PUTTING GROCERIES IN TO THE CARGO STORAGE AREA. IT CAME DOWN VERY HARD HITTING MY NECK AND SHOULDER AND KNOCKED ME TO THE GROUND. I HAD USED THE POWER BUTTON ON THE KEY FOB WHILE STANDING IN THE PARKING LOT NEAR THE BACK OF THE CAR. THE GATE WENT UP NORMALLY BUT JUST AS I BENT OVER TO PUT THINGS IN, THE GATE CAME BACK DOWN ON ME. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH A DEALER TODAY TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT BUT WANTED TO REPORT THIS IN HOPES OF SPARING SOMEONE ELSE FROM MORE SERIOUS INJURY IN THE FUTURE. I DON'T HAVE ANY DOCUMENTATION TO SUBMIT TODAY BUT MAY HAVE AFTER MY DEALER APPOINTMENT WHICH IS 3-17-20.
I HAD PURCHASED THE VEHICLE ON OR ABOUT JULY 2018 WITH THE MILEAGE BEING 91053. I DID NOT DRIVE AT NIGHT UNTIL ABOUT NOVEMBER 2018. I COULD NOT SEE WHERE I WAS GOING BECAUSE THE DRIVER SIDE LIGHT WAS SO DIM. I BOUGHT AND REPLACED BOTH FRONT LOW BEAM BULBS TO NO CHANGE IN SIGHT. FINALLY I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM CADILLAC ON APRIL 05, 2019 ABOUT REPLACING THE WHOLE UNIT SO I DID. THIS WAS ON APRIL 10 2019. EVERYTHING WAS WORKING FINE. ON 09\18\19 I HAD TO GET THE OIL CHANGED. I WENT TO JIFFY LUBE TO HAVE IT DONE. THE VEHICLE WAS WORKING FINE, SINCE I ONLY DROVE MAYBE ONCE OR TWICE A WEEK. THE LAST DAY I DROVE IT WAS 03\08\20. I WENT OUT TO RUN TO THE STORE THE NEXT DAY AND BOOM THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. THERE WAS NO JUICE IN THE BATTERY AT ALL. I BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY AND HAD IT INSTALLED ($200). AFTER JUST A COUPLE OF DAYS I HAD TO GET ANOTHER JUMP TO START IT. ON 03\12\20 I TOOK IT UP TO FIRESTONE AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE ALTERNATOR, SO I HAD THEM REPLACE IT AT $499.81. THIS DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THE BATTERY WAS STILL BEING DRAINED. I TOOK THE VEHICLE UP TO CHURCHVILLE SERVICE CENTER (RECOMMENDED BY MY SON IN LAW) AND THEY REPLACED AN ACCESSORY SYSTEM RELAY. THIS ALSO DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM ($296.74) I TOOK IT BACK TO CHURCHVILLE AND HE REPLACED THE BODY CONTROL MODULE AND HAD IT REPROGRAMMED ($725.02) AND REPLACED THE BATTERY FOR POSSIBLE DEFECTED ($296.74). SO AFTER SPENDING $1818.31 THE VEHICLE IS STILL HAVING THE BATTERY LOSE POWER OVER ABOUT TWO DAYS. THERE IS A VERY BAD DEFECT IN ONE OF THE FOUR ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS AND IT CAN NOT BE FOUND. I NOW ONLY HAVE ABOUT 95,600 MILES. SO IN 2 YEARS I ONLY DROVE 4,547 MILES AND HAVING THIS MUCH ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. YES THE CHURCHVILLE MECHANIC PULLED EVERY FUSE TO LOOK FOR ANY DRAW ON THE BATTERY WHEN HE REPLACED THE RELAY SWITCH. I LIVE IN A CONDO SO THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN OUR CONDO LOT AND THE VEHICLE WAS STATION. *TR
NOTHING HAS HAPPENED YET TO ME. I AM REQUESTING AN INVESTIGATION FOR A RECALL ON THE CADILLAC SRX 2010-2015 FOR FAULTY HEADLIGHTS. MY HALOGEN HEADLIGHTS HAVE MOISTURE ACCUMULATIONS WHICH DIM MY LIGHTS IN THE DARK. ANOTHER CONCERN IS WHAT IF THE LIGHTS SHORT OUT DUE TO THE MOISTER WITHIN THE HEADLIGHTS WHILE SOMEONE IS DRIVING. THIS IS A CLEAR DANGER THAT GM HAS ALREADY ADMITTED TO WITH THE CADILLAC SRX YEARS 2010-2015. I JUST RECEIVED A LETTER FROM GM STATING THEY WOULD COVER $800.00 PER HEADLIGHT; I MUST PAY THE MONEY UP FRONT AND GET REIMBURSED FROM GM. THE CADILLAC DEALERSHIP QUOTED A REPLACEMENT COST OF $3,393.50 THIS MORNING 3/7/2020. THE DEADLINE DATE FOR REPAIRS IS 5/28/2020. I AM ASSUMING THIS IS FROM A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT, WHICH FAVORS GM AND LEAVES THE CONSUMERS AND DRIVERS WITH ALL THE RISK. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE FOR ANYONE DRIVING IN POOR CONDITIONS OR IN THE DARK. I DO NOT HAVE CAR CRASH STATISTIC; HOWEVER, THIS IS A FAULTY DESIGN THAT SHOULD BE COVERED 100% BY A GM RECALL. NOT EVERYONE CAN PAY FOR THIS UP FRONT AND/OR COVER THE ADDITIONAL UNCOVERED COST. HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL BE PLACED IN DANGER AND/OR LOSS OF LIFE IN A CRASH CAUSED BY THE FAULTY HEADLIGHTS. IS THERE ANYTHING THAT CAN BE DONE FOR GM TO COVER THE COST 100% AND HELD ACCOUNTABLE?
HEADLIGHTS ARE DIM DUE TO KNOWN DEFECT. THE LIGHTS ALLOW MOISTURE TO ENTER AND CORRODE THE COMPONENTS AND FOG AND/OR DISCOLOR THE LENS WHICH CAUSE THE HEADLIGHTS TO BE DIM AND DANGEROUS. IN MY CAR SPECIFICALLY, THE FRONT ASSEMBLY PROJECTOR LENS IS DISCOLORED CAUSING THE HEADLIGHTS TO BE DIM WHICH MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO SEE AT NIGHT. THIS IS A CONSTANT ISSUE WHEN USING THE LIGHTS.
IN 11/2017 I COMPLAINED TO MY DEALER ABOUT HEAD LIGHT LOW LIGHT PROBLEMS. THEY SAID. THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. I COMPLAINED AGAIN IN 2018. IN 2019 I COMPLAINED AGAIN, THEY REFERRED ME TO AN AUDIO SHOP TO HAVE THE BULBS REPLACED. THAT DID NOT WORK SO I HAD TO REPLACE BOTH HEADLAMPS DUE TO EXTREME SAFETY ISSUES AND NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE AT NIGHT. THEN IN FEB. 2020 I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM CADILLAC THAT THEY KNOW THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE HEADLIGHTS AND THEY WOULD REIMBURSE OR REPLACE THE HEADLIGHTS THAT ARE AFFECTED. I SENT IN ALL PAPERWORK FOR THE HEADLIGHTS AND WAS DENIED ANY REIMBURSEMENT. THEY SIGHTED MULTIPLE EXCLUSIONS (I HAD TO ORDER THE HEADLAMPS OFF OF AMAZON BECAUSE MY DEALERSHIP SAID THEY DID NOT HAVE THEM). CADILLAC NEVER SPECIFIED WHAT TYPE OF PAPERWORK AND SPECIFICS, THEY SAID TO SEND IN ANY PAPERWORK RELATED TO THE REPAIR OF THE LIGHTS, WHICH I DID! THIS ISSUE WITH THE HEADLIGHTS WAS AN EXTREME DANGER. ANYTIME I HAD SOMEONE IN MY CAR AT NIGHT THEY ASKED IF MY HEADLIGHTS WERE ON AND COULD NOT BELIEVE THEY WERE. CADILLAC INITIALLY REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE PROBLEM AND NOW THEY ARE GIVING ME THE ''RUN AROUND' WITH MULTIPLE EXCUSES AS TO WHY THEY WILL NOT REIMBURSE THE REPAIR I HAD TO MAKE FOR THEIR ACKNOWLEDGED SAFETY ISSUE.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT A LETTER WAS RECEIVED IN REGARD TO THE ISSUE AND THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY AN UNKNOWN DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 27,000.

THAT WAS THE ONLY WAY THE RECALL REPAIR WOULD BE COMPLETED. THE CONSUMER STATED THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT FULLY REIMBURSE THE COST OF REPAIRS. *JS
THE HEADLIGHTS HAD BECOME VERY DIM DUE APPARENTLY TO A FAULTY SEAL ENABLING MOISTURE TO GET IN. IT MADE IT VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE AT NIGHT, PARTICULARLY WHEN IT IS RAINING. CADILLAC SENT A LETTER ADMITTING THE ISSUE AND OFFERING REIMBURSEMENT, BUT REQUIRES CUSTOMERS TO REPLACE THE HEADLIGHTS ON THEIR OWN THEN SUBMIT TO CADILLAC FOR REIMBURSEMENT. THE FIX AND REIMBURSEMENT PROCESS TOOK ALMOST 9 MONTHS, BUT I WAS IN FACT REIMBURSED. THE ADDED PROBLEM AS I UNDERSTAND IT IS THE REPLACEMENT LIGHTS ARE THE SAME AS THE ORIGINAL LIGHTS, AND ARE EXPECTED TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE. I BELIEVE THIS SHOULD BE HANDLED AS A RECALL DUE TO SAFETY AND DIFFERENT MORE RELIABLE HEADLAMPS USED.
WHILE DRIVING AND WITHOUT WARNING, I HAVE MINIMUM BRAKING POWER. I MUST SMASH THE PETAL TO FLOOR IN ORDER TO STOP AT A LIGHT OR STOP SIGN. USUALLY, I'M NOT GOING MORE THAN 35 MPH. THIS HAPPENS AT LEAST 2-3 TIMES PER MONTH. I FEAR I WILL HAVE AN ACCIDENT. TWO DIFFERENT REPAIR SHOPS COULD NOT ID THE PROBLEM. THE OTHER ISSUE IS WHEN DRIVING, THE DASH LIGHTS AND THE HEAD LIGHTS WILL SUDDENLY DIM, WHERE I AM BARELY ABLE TO READ ANYTHING OR SEE. THESE PROBLEMS ARE TRULY A HAZARD AND SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE.
FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS, MY BRAKE PEDAL HAD GONE TO FLOOR AT RANDOM TIMES WHILE DRIVING UNTIL IT WAS FINALLY DIAGNOSED AND REPAIRED RECENTLY. WHEN IT WOULD HAPPEN, ABOUT THE LAST 10% OF PEDAL TRAVEL WOULD HAVE SOME LIMITED BRAKING POWER. AFTER THIS ISSUE WOULD OCCUR, IT SOMETIMES TOOK UP TO DAY OR LONGER FOR IT THE PEDAL TRAVEL TO RETURN TO NORMAL. SOME COMBINATION OF REPEATEDLY PUMPING THE PEDAL, STOPPING/STARTING THE ENGINE, AND QUICKLY PRESSING THE PEDAL WHILE STOPPED WOULD EVENTUALLY RESTORE THE BRAKE PEDAL TO NORMAL. AFTER EXPERIENCING THIS SEVERAL TIMES OVER 2 YEARS, I REALIZED IT WAS TRIGGERED AFTER THE ABS SYSTEM WAS ACTIVATED ' DURING A HARD/PANIC STOP, SLIDING ON SNOW/ICE, OR BY SOME OTHER DRIVING EVENT THAT BRIEFLY TRIGGERS ABS. FOR EXAMPLE, HAVING MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE WHILE MAKING A LEFT TURN AND HEADING DOWN A HILL AT ABOUT 15 MPH TRIGGERED THE ABS (I COULD HEAR THE PUMP AND FEEL THE PEDAL PULSATING) AT THE SAME SPOT ON MY WAY TO WORK EACH MORNING. I LEARNED TO NOT USE MY BRAKE WHILE MAKING THAT TURN ON THAT ROAD EACH MORNING. SOME SRX OWNERS IN FORUMS REPORT PEDAL TO THE FLOOR AFTER A SPEED BUMP ' WHICH I SUSPECT IS ALSO TRIGGERING THE ABS SYSTEM DURING THE 'HOP' OVER THE SPEED BUMP. MY CADILLAC DEALER WAS UNABLE TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM ' AND SAID THEY WOULD JUST BE GUESSING AT THE PROBLEM SINCE THERE ARE 'NO CODES' OR ERROR MESSAGES ON THE DASH. MY LOCAL MECHANIC SUSPECTED THAT THE ABS CONTROL MODULE HAD AN INTERNAL VALVE/SEAL LEAK/FAILURE. THE THEORY IS THAT ONCE THE ABS ACTIVATES AND DIVERTS FLUID TO THE WHEELS THAT HAVE TRACTION (STILL SPINNING), THE ABS VALVES/CHAMBERS WOULD 'STICK' OPEN. THE TWO AC DELCO PARTS COST ABOUT $450 ON AMAZON PLUS ABOUT $300 LABOR. REPLACING THESE PARTS FIXED MY PROBLEM AFTER 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE CONSISTENTLY IMMEDIATELY AFTER ABS HAD ACTUATED.
RECEIVED A LETTER FROM CADILLAC/GMC REGARDING THE HEADLAMP CAPSULES AND/OR CAUSE HALOGEN HEADLIGHTS TO BECOME DIM OVER TIME, WELL MINE ARE LIKE NOT HAVING HEADLIGHTS DUE TO BE SO DIM. THEY WANT YOU TO PAY THEN THEY WILL REIMBURSE YOU IF THEY DETERMINE IT WAS DEFECTED. THE COST IS $800 PER HEADLIGHT. SO YOUR NOT GUARANTEED REIMBURSEMENT. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR THEM TO ASK THIS OF AN OWNER. THEY NEED TO PAY FOR THE HEADLIGHT REPLACEMENT, AFTER ALL THEY DID BUILD THE CAR AND YOU PAY FOR THE CAR WHICH THEY TELL YOU HOW GREAT THE CAR IS AND THE WARRANTY. I AM SO UPSET WITH THEM. I CANT PAY THE $800 TOTAL $1600 FOR REPAIRS THAT WAS ON THEIR BEHALF. THEY ARE NOT ARE NOT REPRESENTING THEIR BRAND VERY WELL AT ALL. TO THEM ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY! NOTIFIED BY LETTER 02.24.2020 FROM CADILLAC GM,LLC OF HEADLAMP/HEADLIGHT ISSUES FOR SRXS 2011-2015. THE REPAIRS AT THE DEALERSHIP WERE CHARGED TO THE CUSTOMER AS STATED IN THEIR LETTER. I WAS REQUIRED TO PAY $1396.00,COMPLETE A PAPER FORM, & MAIL IT WITH RECEIPTS TO A 3RD PARTY. BECAUSE OF A BACKORDER FOR REPLACEMENT PARTS, MY PROBLEM WAS NOT REPAIRED UNTIL OCTOBER 2020. AFTER WAITING FROM MID OCTOBER, I FINALLY RECEIVED MY REFUND IN FEBRUARY 2021. THIS ISSUE WAS SAFETY RELATED FOR DIMMING HEADLIGHTS AT NIGHT. CUSTOMERS WERE FORCED TO PAY UP FRONT TO FIX THE DANGEROUS ISSUE. GM ALSO HAD A DEADLINE OF MAY 28, 2020 TO SUBMIT DOCS FOR REIMBURSEMENT. THIS WAS EXTENDED ONLY FOR CUSTOMERS WITH PRODUCT BACKORDERS. THE PANDEMIC HIT JUST 1 MONTH AFTER GM ISSUED THIS LETTER. WITH JOB LOSSES,ILLNESSES, & DEATHS, GM DID NOT SEND ANY LETTERS MODIFYING THEIR ISSUE FOR SRXS OR OFFERING ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS FOR THOSE IN FINANCIAL CRISIS DURING COVID-19. SO MANY THINGS WRONG WITH THIS PRODUCT ISSUE AND HOW UNPROFESSIONAL & DISLOYAL GM/CADILLAC HAS BEEN TO THEIR SRX OWNERS. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL LETTER AND CHRONOLOGICAL DETAILS OF MY EXPERIENCE.
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ON A 2012 CADILLAC SRX 4 THAT I JUST PURCHASED ARE TOO DIM TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. I HAD TO DRIVE WITH THE HIGH BEAMS ON WHICH CAUSES A HAZARD TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC, BUT I LITERALLY CAN NOT SEE THE ROAD WITH LOW BEAMS ON WHICH IS VERY LIKELY TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. I HAD SOMEONE PULL RIGHT OUT IN FRONT OF ME, PRESUMABLY BECAUSE THE LIGHTS WERE TOO DIM FOR THEM TO SEE ME COMING. I HAD PEOPLE FLASHING THEIR LIGHTS AT ME AND ONE PERSON TOLD ME AT A RED LIGHT, THAT MY HEADLIGHTS WERE OFF. I HAD TO GO STRAIGHT HOME AND HAVEN'T DRIVEN THE CAR SINCE. IT IS A STATE LAW IN NC THAT HEADLIGHTS NEED TO BE ON WHEN WIPERS ARE BEING USED. IF THE HEADLIGHTS AREN'T VISIBLE IN THE DARK, THEY DEFINITELY WON'T BE VISIBLE IN THE RAIN. THE HEADLIGHTS ON THIS VEHICLE ARE SO DIM THAT IT APPEARS THEY AREN'T ON AT ALL EVEN IN THE DARK. AFTER READING ALL OF THE REPORTS OF THIS, I CAN'T IMAGINE HOW THIS HAS NOT BECOME A SAFETY RECALL?!?! IT SEEMS LIKE EXACTLY THE TYPE OF THING THAT A MANUFACTURER SHOULD HAVE TO CORRECT WHEN THEY BECOME AWARE OF IT. THIS IS, APPARENTLY, NOT AT ALL AN ISOLATED OCCURRENCE.
REF: NHTSA CAMPAIGN #: 14V571000 - MY VIN DOES NOT COME UP AS AFFECTED BY THIS RECALL. HOWEVER, ON 2/10/2020, DRIVING 35 MPH ON TOWN STREETS, THE CAR WAS A LITTLE DIFFERENT TO CONTROL (ALMOST 'LIGHTER'). AFTER MY STOP, I RESTARTED THE CAR, TURNED A CORNER AND FOUND IT NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO STAY IN MY OWN LANE. EVEN AFTER SLOWING TO 20 MPH AND FIGHTING TO CONTROL THE CAR, IT FELT LIKE THE REAR OF MY CAR WAS DRAGGING ME IN TO THE RIGHT LANE AFTER PARKING, I NOTICED MY REAR PASSENGER SIDE TIRE WAS AT AN ANGLE OF ABOUT 30-45 DEGREES FROM THE REST OF THE CAR. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO MY REPAIR GARAGE. THEY SHOWED US THE TOE NUT (JAM NUT?) UNDER THE REAR SUSPENSION , HAD APPROXIMATELY 1/2" BEFORE IT COULD CAME OFF COMPLETELY. BEFORE AGREEING TO THE REPAIRS WE CALLED THE LOCAL CADILLAC DEALERSHIP. THEY DID NOT ASK FOR A VIN, BUT INFORMED US THAT THE "RECALL HAD BEEN CLOSED" FOR THIS ITEM SO WE WERE ON OUR OWN FOR REPAIRS.
WHILE IN MOTION, I APPLIED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND THE CAR DID NOT STOP ALMOST CAUSING A WRECK. AFTER THAT THE BRAKES RETURNED TO NORMAL. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO GM HERE AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIND ANY PROBLEM. AFTER A FEW WEEKS PASSED BY THE CAR THEN DID IT AGAIN. THIS NEEDS TO BE APPROACHED BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE WITH THE SAME ISSUE! SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET HURT OR KILLED!

HAD IT TOWED TO A CADILLAC DEALERSHIP AND THEY FOUND THE ENGINE IS SEIZED, AFTER OPENING UP THE ENGINE THERE WAS SLUDGE. IT ONLY HAS 61,000 MILES AND I HAVE ALL THE PAPERWORK WHERE ALL OIL CHANGES WERE DONE ON TIME. EXTENDED WARRANTY CO. WON'T COVER SLUDGE. I HAD READ ONLINE THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM, GM NEED TO RECALL THESE ENGINES, THIS IS A $10,000 DEFECT. I HAVE ONLY OWNED THIS CAR 10 MONTHS.
WE WERE DRIVING BACK FROM DINNER IT WAS DARK AND RAINING ALL OF A SUDDEN THE DRIVER SIDE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT STOPPED WORKING I COULD NOT SEE THE CENTERLINE AND ALMOST HAD A HEAD-ON COLLISION THEN THERE WAS A POLICE CAR IN BACK OF ME AND PULLED US OVER FOR NO HEADLIGHT SAYING THAT HE KNEW OFF OTHER PEOPLE WITH THE SAME HAPPENING ISSUED A WARRING AND WE PROCEEDED UP THE ROAR WITH CAUTION
MY 2012 CADILLAC SRX WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT ON LOW BEAM IS VERY, VERY DIM. IT'S BASICALLY LIKE DRIVING WITH NO LIGHTS ON. THIS ONLY EFFECTS LOW BEAM, NOT HIGH. I CAN NOT VISUALLY SEE WELL. THIS PROBLEM HAS STEADILY GOTTEN WORSE. WHILE DRIVING IN THE RAIN, YOU CAN BARELY SEE THE ROAD ON LOW BEAM. THERE ARE 1000'S AND 1000'S OF COMPLAINTS ON THE INTERNET, BUT I COULD NOT FIND A RECALL.
CAN NOT SEE THE ROAD WITH LOW BEAMS ON. VERY DANGEROUS. CAN NOT DRIVE CAR AT NIGHT
HEADLAMPS ARE TO DIM TO SAFELY DRIVE AT NIGHT. THEY HAVE GOTTEN WORSE AS TIME WENT ON.
HEADLIGHTS GOT VERY DIM OVER TIME. REACHED THE POINT THAT I HAD TO DRIVE WITH THE UPPER BEAMS ON AT NIGHT. ALSO HAD MOISTURE IN ONE HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY.
WHILE TURNING OFF TO ENTER A GROCERY STORE PARKING LOT I STEPPED ON THE BRAKES AND THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. I HAD TO QUICKLY PUMP THE BRAKES TO SLOW DOWN. THE ROAD CONDITIONS WERE WET WITH A LITTLE BIT OF ICE. I FELT A SHUDDER IN THE FRONT SUSPENSION WHEN IT HAPPENED. THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE APPROXIMATELY 2 YEARS AGO BUT IT CORRECTED ITSELF IN A FEW MINUTES AFTER TURNING OFF THE VEHICLE. THIS TIME IT HASN'T CORRECTED AND THE VEHICLE IS UNDRIVABLE DUE TO SAFETY CONCERNS. I HAD TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED HOME.
FRONT DIFFERENTIAL LEAKS REAR DIFFERENTIAL LEAKS TRANSMISSION COOLER LEAKS BURNS OIL HEADLIGHTS VERY DIM
THIS VEHICLE LIKE ALL OTHER CADILLAC SRX MODELS ON THE ROAD HAS THE SAME LOW BEAM LIGHTING ISSUES THAT HAVE BEEN COMPLAINED ABOUT BEFORE. THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE FOR YEARS AND GM KNOWS ABOUT THE ISSUE. WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT NIGHT YOUR LUCKY TO BE ABLE TO SEE MORE THAN 3 FEET OUT. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN NOT ONLY FOR THE DRIVER AND PASSENGERS BUT FOR ALL OTHER VEHICLES AND PEDESTRIANS ON THE ROADWAY.
2 TIMES IN PAST WEEK MY CAR SLID ON ICE & WATER THEN AFTER BRAKE PEDAL WOULD GO ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR, NEXT DAY WORKED AGAIN, ABOUT 1-2 WEEKS BETWEEN INCIDENTS, 1 TIME WAS APPROACHING A STOP LIGHT & SLID ON WET STEEL PLATE, NEXT WAS THIS MORNING I SLID ON ICE SLOWING DOWN ON FFX CO PKWY GETTING ON RAMP FOR I66
