THE ENGINE WOULD LOOSE POWER AND SURGE ALSO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE THROTTLE BODY WAS REPLACED. IT HAPPENED A SECOND TIME AND AGAIN THE THROTTLE BODY WAS REPLACED THIS WAS ON AUGUST 10, 2010. NOW A THIRD TIME THE THROTTLE BODY IS BEING REPLACED SEPTEMBER 19, 2014. *TR
THREE TIMES IN THE LAST YEAR MY AIRBAG SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED. APRIL, 2008 DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. THEN APRIL OF THIS YEAR I HAD IT REPAIRED TWICE. THEY STATED THAT THERE WAS ANOTHER ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. *TR
THE FRONT PASSENGER SENSOR DOES NOT READ PROPERLY FOR THE MAJORITY OF PASSENGERS. THIS MISREAD CAUSES THE LIGHT ON THE DASH TO SHOW 'PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF.' THIS IS OF MAJOR CONCERN, THE AIRBAG MUST DEPLOY IN AN ACCIDENT AND SHOULD SHOW TO BE ACTIVATED AT ALL TIMES WHEN A PASSENGER IS PRESENT. *TR
I HAVE HAD MY 2006 CHEVY AVEO IN 3 TIMES TO HAVE THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT FIXED. EACH TIME, THEY TELL ME THAT IT IS FIXED AND THE WARNING LIGHT IS OFF. IT HAS COME BACK ON EACH TIME. THE LAST TIME I HAD IT IN, THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS FIXED FOR GOOD AND WOULD DEFINITELY NOT COME BACK ON. IT CAME ON AGAIN THIS WEEK, AND I DO NOT LIKE THE FACT THAT IF I AM IN AN ACCIDENT, THE AIRBAGS MAY NOT WORK. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET AVEO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG LIGHT FAILS INTERMITTENTLY WHEN HIS WIFE IS SEATED IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER THREE TIMES. THE AIR BAG SENSOR WAS REPLACED AND WORKED FOR THREE MONTHS. WHEN THE FAILURE RECURRED, THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED HE WOULD HAVE TO LIVE WITH THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT DID EVERYTHING GM SUGGESTED, BUT THE FAILURE STILL EXISTED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 8,860 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000. UPDATED 03/04/08. *LJ THE AIR BAG LIGHT STAYED ON WHEN THE PASSENGER SEAT WAS OCCUPIED. UPDATED
I HAVE A2006 CHEVROLET AVEO. I NOTICED THAT THE LEFT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE WAS SAGGING. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE LOCAL DEALER SINCE THE VEHICLE HAS JUST UNDER 26,000 MILES ON IT AND IT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. THE DEALER SAID THAT THE SPRINGS ON THE LEFT SIDE HAD TO BE CHANGED. WITHIN A WEEK THE SPRINGS WERE REPLACED. WHEN I TOOK THE VEHICLE HOME , ONE MILE FROM THE DEALER, I NOTICED THE NEXT DAY THAT THE VEHICLE WAS STILL SAGGING. I CONTACTED THE DEALER AND HE SAID TO BRING THE VEHICLE BACK IN. THIS WAS DONE. AFTER A DAY, I CONTACTED THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE VEHICLE WAS 1/4 INCH LOWER ON THE LEFT SIDE THEN THE RIGHT. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT THE DEALER CHECKED ANOTHER 06 VEHICLE AND AN 08 VEHICLE THAT THEY HAD ON THE PROPERTY AND FOUND THAT THE WERE ALSO SAGGING. THEN THEN CONTACTED GM AND WERE TOLD THAT THE VEHICLE WAS WITH IN SPECKS. I WAS GIVEN THE NUMBER FOR GM AND I MADE A CALL TO THEM. AFTER AN HOUR ON THE PHONE AND TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE, I WAS TOLD THAT THE VEHICLE WAS WITHIN SPECKS AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO FOR ME. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT IF A RECALL WERE TO COME UP RE: MY COMPLAINT, THEY WOULD CONTACT ME . I WAS ALSO GIVE A COMPLAINT #[XXX]. IF YOU WERE TO LOOK AT MY VEHICLE FROM THE REAR YOU WOULD ALSO SEE THAT THE VEHICLE IS SAGGING TO THE EXTENT THAT THE NAKED EYE CAN SEE IT. I MAY NOT AN ENGINEER BUT THE NAKED I CAN SEE THE SAG. I DO KNOW THAT WHEN A VEHICLE SAGES TO ONE SIDE OR THE OTHER, YOU CHANGE THE CENTER OF GRAVITY. AT THIS POINT I FEEL THE VEHICLE IS A HAZARD ON THE ROAD AND UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. I ALSO CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT I AM THE ONLY OWNER OF THIS TYPE OF VEHICLE WHO HAS MADE A COMPLAINT TO GM. IF YOU CAN BE OF HELP TO ME IN THIS MATTER, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME. 2006 CHEVY AVEO DIED IN 17 DEGREE WEATHER 4 MONTHS AFTER BUYING IT ACTED LIKE FUEL LINE FREEZEUP DID IT 3 TIMES AGAIN THIS WINTER WHEN TEMPS FELL BELOW 20 DEGREES. HAD TO BE TOWED BY DEALER. WOULDN'T START. STRANDED ME A FEW TIMES. DEALER HAS HAD IT FOR 2 WEEKS,,,SAID THEY CAN'T GET REPLACEMENT PARTS FROM KOREA AS YET. *TR
I HAVE A 2006 CHEVROLET AVEO 5 DOOR. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE BRAND NEW. AT 32,000 MILES THE AIRBAG MIL CAME ON, NOT DUE TO ANY ACCIDENT OR OTHER EVENT WHICH COULD HAVE CAUSED A PROBLEM WITH THE AIRBAGS. I RETURNED THE CAR TO THE CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP; THEY SAID THE ISSUE WAS DUE TO A LOOSE CONNECTION AT THE STEERING WHEEL WHICH THEY HAD CORRECTED. LATER THAT DAY, WHILE DRIVING, THE AIRBAG MIL CAME ON ONCE AGAIN, NOT DUE TO ANY ACCIDENT OR OTHER EVENT WHICH COULD HAVE CAUSED A PROBLEM WITH THE AIRBAGS. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT THIS WAS A "NORMAL" PROBLEM ON THIS CAR AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO RETURN THE CAR TO THEM FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME FOR FURTHER DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR. I AM CURRENTLY PURSUING GETTING THE CAR REPAIRED BY A DIFFERENT DEALER. I AM CONCERNED, AS I HAVE HEARD OF MANY AIRBAG-RELATED ISSUES WITH AVEOS. I WOULD NOT THINK THAT THIS IS A "NORMAL" PROBLEM ON ANY TYPE OF VEHICLE. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE OVERALL QUALITY AND RELIABILITY OF THE SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM ON THESE VEHICLES. PLEASE NOTE, "AIRBAG MIL" ABOVE SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN TO MEAN THE "PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF" INDICATOR; THE MIL IS THE RED LIGHT INDICATING A PROBLEM WITH THE AIRBAG SYSTEM, NOT THE ORANGE LIGHT INDICATING ITS STATUS. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET AVEO. AFTER LOCKING THE VEHICLE FROM THE OUTSIDE WITH THE KEY, THE CONTACT COULD NOT UNLOCK THE VEHICLE ANY LONGER FROM THE DRIVER SIDE. THE DEALER STATED THAT A NEW DOOR LATCH WAS NEEDED. THE PURCHASE DATE WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 50,849.
THE AIRBAG LIGHT WOULD NOT TURN OFF, STILL AT THE DEALER WAITING FOR A PART TO COME IN, IT WAS A FAULTY FUSE IN THE STEERING WHEEL IF IN A ACCIDENT AIRBAGS WOULD NOT DEPLOY. 2.THE HEAT STARTED WORKING LESS AND LESS, WHEN I WOULD COME TO A STOP THE AIR WOULD COME OUT COLD, IT FELT LIKE I HAD THE AIR CONDITIONING ON. IF IT SAT FOR TOO LONG THE TEMPERATURE WOULD START TO RISE AND IT WOULD START TO OVERHEAT. *TR
WHEN A PASSENGER 130LBS SITS IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT IS STILL ON INDICATING THE AIRBAG IS OFF! I HAVE HAD THE WHOLE SEAT REPAIRED AND THIS PROBLEM IS STILL EXISTING. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO IF THERE IS A ACCIDENT HOW WILL I KNOW THAT THE AIRBAG SYSTEM IS WORKING PROPERLY. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAYS IT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE IF YOUR SKINNY BUT IT SHOULD NOT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE DUE TO I AM PAST THE WEIGHT LIMIT FOR THE SENSOR. *TR

WHEN SHE SITS IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT, THE AIR BAG FAILS TO ENGAGE. HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT IT IS WORKING PROPERLY. THE CONTACT IS CONCERNED THAT IF HIS WIFE IS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT DURING A CRASH, THE AIR BAG WILL NOT PROTECT HER. HOWEVER, WHEN THE CONTACT IS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT, THE AIR BAG SENSOR ENGAGES. HE WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 230 LBS. THE VIN AND ENGINE SIZE WERE UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 2,300. UPDATED 08/30/07 *TR

THE CAR IS A 2006 AVEO. THE CAR IS ONLY THREE YEARS OLD AND NOW HAS 100,000 MILES AND IS OVER WARRANTY. OVER THE LIFE OF THE CAR BEGINNING AT AROUND 20,000 MILE THE AIR BAG DISENGAGED LIGHT HAS CONTINUED TO COME ON AND STAY ON. THE CAR HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER EACH TIME AND THEY CLAIM THERE EITHER IS NO ISSUE OR IT'S JUST A FUSE. EACH TIME THE CAR, CONTINUES TO HAVE A TROUBLE. THE LIGHT STAYS ON, MEANING THE AIRBAG IS NOT WORKING. I FEAR IN A CRASH THAT THE AIRBAG WOULD NOT DEPLOY. *TR

TL*- THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET AVEO WITH A CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGE OF 15,000 MILES. THE CONTACT WAS HEARING A CRUNCHING SOUND COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE TAKEN TO THE DEALER, SERPENTINE CHEVROLET , SEVERAL TIMES, BUT THEY COULD NOT FIND THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. WHEN THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE LOCAL MECHANIC THEY FOUND THAT THE REAR AXLE WAS BENT, WHICH CAUSED THE COIL SPRING TO RUB AGAINST THE BODY OF THE VEHICLE. ALSO, THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE BENT AXLE COULD HAVE HAPPENED AT THE TIME THE VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR, AT WHICH TIME, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE FRONT SUSPENSION SYSTEM WAS LOOSE AS WELL. THE DEALER REPLACED THE FRONT SWAY BAR, AND THE BUSHING, AND TIGHTEN ALL THE BOLTS. WHEN THE DEALER TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE AFTER THE REPAIRS THEY FOUND THAT THE ENGINE CRADLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK THE CONSUMER STATED THERE WAS A SQUEAKING NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE, THE SWAY BAR BUSHINGS AND LOWER BALL JOINTS WERE REPLACED. "PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG OFF" LIGHT PERIODICALLY COMES ONE WHILE PASSENGER IS IN THE SEAT. SINCE I BOUGHT MY CAR ON DEC 2005. HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN 50 TIMES. TOOK TO DEALER, WHO SAID THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM, AND EVERYTHING WAS WORKING NORMALLY. AND "YOU DON'T TAKE CARE OF THIS, BE CAUSE THE AIRBAGS STILL WORKING" THEY NEVER REPLACE NOTHING. THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG SHUTS OFF PERIODICALLY WITH A PASSENGER IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. THIS HAPPENS PERIODICALLY, THE ONLY WAY TO FIX IT IS TO HAVE THE PASSENGER LIFT OFF THE SEAT AND SIT BACK DOWN WITH SOME FORCE. *NM

HAVE BEEN NOTICING WITHIN THE LAST MONTH THAT OCCASIONALLY WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START VEHICLE, I GET A BUZZING NOISE, AND ENGINE WILL NOT START. MUST TURN KEY AGAIN TO GET VEHICLE STARTED. SEEMS TO BE A DEFECTIVE STARTER OR IGNITION SWITCH. THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG WORKS ABOUT 33% OF THE TIME FOR MY WIFE. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE TO THE SHOP 2 OR 3 TIMES CONCERNING THIS PROBLEM. THIS DEFECT STILL CONTINUES TO OCCUR. *NM
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE AIR BAG READINESS LIGHT FOR THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE ILLUMINATED CONTINUALLY INDICATING THAT THE AIR BAG WOULD NOT DEPLOY WHILE IN AN ACCIDENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE AN AIR BAG SENSOR WAS REPLACED. THIS OCCURRED ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASSION IN MARCH, JUNE AND AUGUST OF 2006. AFTER EACH INCIDENT, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THE AIR BAG SENSOR WAS REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED IN DECEMBER OF 2005. THE REPAIR INVOICES ARE AVAILABLE.
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS BEEN ILLUMINATING SINCE PURCHASE. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP TWICE FOR THIS PROBLEM, BUT THE COMPUTER DISPLAYS NO CODES. THE INVOICE STATED THE MANUFACTURER IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND IS CURRENTLY INVESTIGATING A POSSIBLE REPAIR. THE RECOMMENDED REPAIR WILL BE SENT TO THE DEALERSHIPS WHEN FOUND.
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHUDDER, AND CAUSED A LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL. THE VEHICLE VEERED OFF THE ROAD, INTO A DITCH, AND SUBSEQUENTLY CRASHED INTO A CEMETERY. THE FRONTAL AIR BAGS DEPLOYED, BUT DID NOT INFLATE. THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER BOTH SUFFERED MINOR INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS TAKEN, AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN IMPOUND LOT.
WHILE DRIVING AT ABOUT 60 MPH ON THE FREEWAY A CAR SPED UP ON THE LEFT SIDE OF ME WHILE I WAS MERGING INTO THE LEFT LANE, I SWERVED TO THE RIGHT BUT STILL HAD CONTROL OF THE CAR UNTIL ALL OF A SUDDEN THE BRAKE LOCKED AND THE CAR SHUT OFF AND STARTED TO SPIN OUT OF CONTROL AND ALMOST FLIPPED OVER. I DID NOT STOMP ON THE BRAKE OR TURN THE WHEEL VERY HARD AT ALL, THE CAR SEEMS VERY UNBALANCED WHEN DRIVING DEFENSIVELY WHICH I BELIEVE COULD CAUSE A CAR FLIP. THANK GOD THE ONCOMING TRAFFIC STOPPED. *JB

THIS IS A CONDITION THAT IS A SAFTY HASZARD. I HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED A CHEVROLET AVEO. I NOTICED THE SPEED DID NOT SEEM RIGHT. I HAD THIS CHECKED BY THE DAELER I PURCHASED THE CAR FROM. IT WAS OF 7-9%. THE SPEED READS HIGHER THAN YOU ARE GOING. THIS IS NOT A CONSTANT. IT MAY BE RIGHT ONE TIME AND READ WRONG THE NEXT. THIS LEADS TO ESTIMATING YOU SPEED AS TO NOT BECOME A HAZARD FOR OTHER MOTORISTS. CHEVROLET INFORMED ME THEY KNOW THIS AND IT IS NORMAL! THEY HAVE NO FIX FOR THIS AND BASICLY TOLD ME I WILL HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT! THIS IS A CAR I PURCHASED NEW! HOW CAN THEY SELL A CAR WITH THIS FAULT? THE NUMBER OF FAILURES IS A GUESS- I HAVE NO WAY OF KNOWING HOW MANY TIMES IT HAS HAPPENED.
THE PASSENGER AIRBAG SENSOR DOES NOT WORK!!! AFTER TAKING IT TO THE DEALER 3 OR 4 TIMES THEY WERE FINALLY ABLE TO "DUPLICATE" THE PROBLEM...THE SENSOR WAS THEN REPLACED. IMMEDIATELY AFTER RECEIVING THE VEHICLE BACK FROM THE DEALER THE SENSOR LIGHT STARTED FLASHING WHILE AN ADULT WAS SITTING IN THE SEAT..IT NOW IS STILL EITHER FLASHING OR NOT COMING ON OR NOT TURNING OFF WHEN SOMEONE IS IN THE SEAT...I INFORMED THE DEALER OF THIS BUT OF COURSE AGAIN IT NEEDS TO BE DUPLICATED AS THEY PUT IT. I AM ADVISED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE INTO THE DEALERSHIP WHEN THIS OCCURS...SORRY BUT I AM TOO BUSY TO JUST STOP WHAT I AM DOING AND DRIVE TO THE DEALERSHIP...WHICH IS LOCATED IN ANOTHER CITY. DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE LOCATION OF THE HORN IS HARD TO FIND AND EXCESSIVE PRESSURE IS REQUIRED TO ACTIVATE THE HORN. THE OWNER'S MANUAL STATES THE HORN NEEDS TO BE TAPPED TO ACTIVATE. THE MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN ALERTED.
"PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG OFF" LIGHT PERIODICALLY COMES ONE WHILE PASSENGER IS IN THE SEAT. SINCE FEB. HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES. TOOK TO DEALER, WHO SAID THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM, AND EVERYTHING WAS WORKING NORMALLY. POSSIBLE SAFETY ISSUE. *JB
MY 2006 CHEVY AVEO FRONTAL AIR BAG DOES NOT WORK 90% OF THE TIME. IT HAS BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP AT LEAST 5 TIMES. I HAVE CALLED THE CHEVY NUMBER IN THE BACK OF THEIR BOOK, AND THE MANUFACTURER HAS NOT DEALT WITH THE ISSUE. THEY HAVE NOT HAD THE PROBLEM FIXED. THEY HAVE MADE APPOINTMENTS FOR MY VEHICLE BUT THE AIR BAG IS STILL NOT WORKING. I AM 5 9 AND 120 LBS AND MY HUSBAND AND I CAN NOT USE MY VEHICLE BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE A WORKING AIR BAG. IN THIS SMALL OF A CAR I WOULD DIE IN A HIGHWAY ACCIDENT WITH OUT AN AIR BAG. MY HUSBAND GETS UPSET THAT WE CAN NOT USE A NEW CAR WITH FUEL ECONOMY FOR TRIPS TOGETHER BECAUSE I'M NOT PROTECTED. THIS CAR IS NEW!! THE CHEVY AVEO IS VERY DANGEROUS AND SHOULD NOT BE PURCHASED. YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS WILL NOT BE SAFE, AND YOU WILL BE STUCK WITH A NEW AND UNUSABLE CAR. THE PASSENGER AIR BAG DOES NOT EVEN ACTIVATE WHILE DRIVING IN TOWN. THIS CAR NEEDS TO BE RECALLED. IT HAS TAKEN ME 3 MONTHS TO FIND A PLACE THAT WOULD TAKE MY COMPLAINTS. IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET ANY ONE TO DEAL WITH THIS SERIOUS PROBLEM. WHAT GOOD IS A CAR WITH OUT A FONT AIR BAG. PLEASE SOMEONE TAKE THIS SAFETY HAZARD SERIOUS. DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAS A NINE PERCENT ERROR ON THE SPEEDOMETER. THE FAULTY SPEEDOMETER CAUSED THE CONTACT TO CONSTANTLY WORRY ABOUT CALCULATING SPEED, WHICH WAS DISTRACTING FOCUS FROM THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A SERVICE DEALER, WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT NINE PERCENT ERROR ON THE SPEEDOMETER WAS AN ACCEPTABLE STANDARD FOR GENERAL MOTORS.*AK 08/01/06 *TT
THE AIR BAG SENSOR LIGHT STAYS ON WHILE SOMEONE IS RIDING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. ACCORDING TO THE DEALER IF YOU WEIGHT BETWEEN 80 AND 120 LB. THIS MAY OCCUR. HOWEVER, IT HAPPENS WHEN MY DAUGHTER WHO WEIGHTS 140 LBS RIDES IN THE SEAT AS WELL. THIS IS A DEFINITELY SAFETY HAZARD AND NEEDS TO HAVE A RECALL DONE. I HAVE COMPLAINED TO THE DEALER SINCE I PURCHASED THE CAR IN JAN 2006. IN JULY THEY REPLACED THE SENSOR, THEY REPLACED THE SEAT BOTTOM (THE PATTERN DID NOT MATCH MY INTERIOR) AND IT WORKED CORRECTLY. AFTER ORDERING THE CORRECT PATTERN AND INSTALLING IN MY CAR THE PROBLEM CONTINUES TO PERSIST. IT IS AN INCONSISTENT PROBLEM. I CAN RIDE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT TO THE STORE AND THE LIGHT WILL GO OFF, ON THE TRIP BACK IT STAYS ON. DURING ONE TRIP TO THE STORE WHILE MY DAUGHTER WAS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT THE LIGHT STAYED ON SO I DROVE TO THE DEALER, BOTH THE GENERAL MANAGER AND THE SERVICE MANAGER SAW HER IN THE SEAT WITH THE LIGHT ON. THEY RAN DIAGNOSTICS ON THE CAR AND IT SHOWS NO MALFUNCTIONS. THEY STATED THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO SINCE THE DIAGNOSTICS DIDN'T SHOW ANY ERROR CODES. HOW SAFE IS THIS!!! IT IS IMPERATIVE THE GENERAL MOTORS BE FORCED TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. THEY ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AS I HAVE WRITTEN THE PRESIDENT AND YET THE 2007 STILL HAS THE SAME AIR BAG SYSTEM. I CAN NOT COUNT THE NUMBER OF TIMES THIS HAS HAPPENED. I WOULD APPRECIATE CONTRACT AND RESOLUTION TO THIS ISSUE. *NM
THE BRAND NEW HANKOOK TIRES ON MY 2006 CHEVY AVEO ARE DEFECTIVE. I HIT A POT HOLE AND THE FIRST ONE WAS RUINED JUST 26 DAYS AFTER I DROVE THE CAR OFF THE DEALER LOT. THE REPLACEMENT TIRE I JUST BOUGHT FOR $265.55 POPPED TONIGHT 3 DAYS AFTER I DROVE OFF THE REPAIR SHOP LOT. *JB
DT: THE CONTACT STATED HIS VEHICLE SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING. PRIOR TO THE CAR SHUTTING DOWN THE ENGINE RPM DROPPED AND THEN INCREASED SUDDENLY. AT THE SAME TIME THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN INTERMITTENTLY LOSING POWER SINCE THE CONTACT PURCHASED IT. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. THE DEALER THINKS THE PROBLEM LIES WITH THE PCM, BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO OBTAIN A REPLACEMENT PART FROM ANOTHER VEHICLE. *AK
