TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET CAMARO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD SHAKE ABNORMALLY AND THE RPMS INCREASED BETWEEN 1500 AND 2500. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE FAILURE WHERE A DIAGNOSTIC WAS PERFORMED BUT THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE LOCATE A FAILURE CODE. THE VEHICLE WAS TEST DRIVEN BUT TO NO AVAIL. THE COMPUTER WAS REPROGRAMMED BUT THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,446 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 15,569.
IN MAY, STARTED TO FEEL A VIBRATION/SHIMMY OF SOME SORT WHEN ACCELERATING IN ALL SORTS OF SPEEDS. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE. VIBRATION/SHIMMY CONTINUED AND GRADUALLY BECOME MORE FREQUENT SO TOOK VEHICLE BACK TO DEALERSHIP IN JUNE IN WHICH THE TECH TEST DROVE AND WAS ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. WAS TOLD HE WAS NOT THE TRANSMISSION EXPERT SO THEY HAD THE SO CALLED TRANSMISSION EXPERT TEST DRIVE AND HE WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. TOOK MY CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP THE VERY NEXT DAY AND IT WAS DETERMINED TO BE THE TORQUE CONVERTER. THE TRANSMISSION HAD TO BE FLUSHED DUE TO METAL SHAVINGS IN THE TRANSMISSION. I HAVE HAD CONTINUOUS PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION SINCE THE TORQUE CONVERTER WAS REPLACED. THE TRANSMISSION IS HESITATING WHEN ATTEMPTING TO INCREASE SPEED, IT SLAMS INTO GEAR, DOWNSHIFTS WHEN ITS NOT SUPPOSE TO AND THE VIBRATION IS SLOWLY STARTING TO COME BACK. DEALERSHIP IS CLAIMING THIS IS NORMAL FOR THE TYPE OF TRANSMISSION I HAVE AND ITS OPERATING AS DESIGNED. *TR
WELDS FAILED ON REAR SEAT LATCH BAR, LATCH BAR WAS NOT IN USE AT THE TIME. BROKEN WELDS RESULTED IN RATTLE LEADING TO A TRIP TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. BAR WAS REPLACED FREE OF CHARGE UNDER WARRANTY BY DEALERSHIP. *TR
THE CONVERTIBLE TOP HAS BECOME INCREASINGLY SLOWER WHEN PUTTING IT UP AND DOWN. THERE ARE SIGNS ON THE TOP OF THE CAR WHERE IT LATCHES OF SOMETHING GRINDING. TOOK TO DEALER AND WAS ADVISED THAT THE TOP OPERATED AT NORMAL SPEED WHEN COMPARED TO A SIMILAR MODEL. CURRENTLY OPERATION IS EXCEEDING 20 SECONDS FOR THE TOP TO BE LOWERED OR RAISED. ALSO TOP IS NOT GOING DOWN ALL THE WAY AS THE FABRIC OBSCURES THE MIRROR WHEN DRIVING. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET CAMARO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG SENSOR WAS NOT RECOGNIZING THAT A PASSENGER WAS SEATED IN THAT SEAT. AS A RESULT, THE FRONT PASSENGER'S AIR BAG LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ONLY WAY THAT THE AIR BAG SENSOR FUNCTIONED PROPERLY WAS IF THE PASSENGER ENTERED THE VEHICLE AND FASTENED THE SEAT BELT BEFORE STARTING THE IGNITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO STATED THAT THE SYSTEM WAS OPERATING UP TO STANDARD AND FUNCTIONING AS NORMAL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 16 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 1,284.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET CAMARO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A LOCAL DEALER. THE DEALER RESET THE COMPUTER BUT THE REPAIR DID NOT REMEDY THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE THE DEALER RESET THE COMPUTER A SECOND TIME. THE DEALER ALSO DROVE THE VEHICLE FOR ONE HUNDRED MILES AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE STALLING ISSUE. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO STALL SPORADICALLY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,200.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET CAMARO LS . THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE IN REVERSE, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AFTER THE FAILURE AND WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TWICE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. I PULLED OUT OF MY PARKING PLACE AT MY CONDOMINIUMS. I COULD NOT GET MY CAR TO STOP. THE BRAKES WERE NOT WORKING. THIS HAS HAPPENED MANY TIMES OVER THE YEARS SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. I HAVE TAKEN IT INTO THE DEALERSHIPS IN MY AREA ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS BUT THEY HAVE TOLD ME THEY WILL ONLY FIX IT IF IT DOES IT WHILE IT IS IN THEIR CARE. I HAVE OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN DRIVING MY CAR WHEN IT HAS HAPPENED BUT IT HAS NOT HAPPENED WHILE I HAVE BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP. THE MOST RECENT OCCURRENCE HAPPENED AND I RAN INTO POLL AND MY BUMPER NOW NEEDS TO BE REPLACE. *TR
I CONSTANTLY GET A VERY ANNOYING CLUNKING SOUND FROM BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE FRONT STRUT OR SHOCK AREA WHEN DRIVING OVER UNEVEN PAVEMENT OR HITTING BUMPS WHEN DRIVING AT ANY SPEEDS, THE SOUND HAS BEGUN TO GET LOUDER, THE STEERING GIVES WAY TO ANY IMPERFECTIONS ON ROADS OR HIGHWAYS REGARDLESS OF SPEEDS WHICH HAS NOW GIVING ME THE CONCERN OF SAFETY,GENERAL MOTORS FOR SOME REASONS HAS DENIED THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM,STATING THAT THIS IS A CHARACTERISTIC OF THIS VEHICLE. *TR
