CAR HAS LESS THEN 7000 MILES AND THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING 60+ MPH. AFTER STOPPING AND TURNING OFF IGNITION, THE POWER STEERING WAS AVAILABLE. I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY WERE CONTENT TO TAKE IT IN; WHILE DRIVING THERE, IT WENT OUT AGAIN AND I DROVE IT STRAIGHT TO THE DEALER AND DID NOT TURN OFF IGNITION. THEY CONCURRED THAT IT WAS AN ISSUE BUT COULDN'T FIND THE PROBLEM SO THEY SIMPLY RE-PROGRAMMED THE MODULE. I'M GLAD MY WIFE AND KIDS WERE NOT DRIVING IT AT THE TIME AS THEY'RE NOT ACCUSTOMED TO DRIVING W/O POWER STEERING SO THE CIRCUMSTANCES COULD HAVE BEEN BAD. I'M CONCERNED IT CAN GO OUT AGAIN.
THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE. IT REMAINS OUT UNTIL YOU SHUT THE CAR OFF AND RESTART IT.
WINDSHEILD FOGGING UP WHILE DRIVING WITH THE AC ON
WINDSHIELD STILL FOGS AFTER DEALER PERFORMED THE TSB,IT NOW FOGS WITH THE A/C OFF AND THE VENT ON BLOCKING VISIBILITY DURING THE RAIN AND EARLY MORNING IN FLORIDA.
CONSTANT WINDOW FOGGING WHEN THE AC IS ON.
NONE OF MY 2017 CAMARO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AFTER AN 18 WHEELER HIT ME WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE. I WAS GOING APPROX. 55 MPH IN THE FAR SLOW RIGHT LANE. TRUCKER HIT ME ON DRIVERS SIDE AND MY CAR WAS HOOKED TO THE TRUCK. HE THEN DRUG ME APPROX. 50' AT SPEEDS OF 45-55 MPH. WHEN I DID FINALLY GET LOOSE FROM TRUCK IT THE SLUNG ME IN FRONT OF THE TRUCK WHERE HE THEN HIT ME AGAIN FROM BEHIND. AT LEAST ONE OF THE 4 AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. ESPECIALLY THE DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG. THIS ANGERS ME B/C IT IS ONE MAIN REASON I PURCHASED THIS CAR. AND IN ADDITION, APPARENTLY NON OF THE CRASH RESPONSE SENSORS WORKED EITHER. ONSTAR WAS SUPPOSED TO CONTACT ME SHOULD AN ACCIDENT OCCUR. I TRIED CALLING THEM WHILE I SAT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSTATE. SAT ON HOLD FOR AN AGENT 10 MINS BEFORE I FINALLY HUNG UP.
Within a month or so after purchasing this vehicle with less that 20 miles the transmission would studder. I informed the dealership several times. I was told this was a known issue and it was just related to transmission fluid type. I brought the car in for a transmission flush and the problem seemed to go away. It has returned and is causing safety risk. Besides the annoying grinding noise, I have experienced safety related issues concerning this issue. At the moment you need to accelerate the car pausing and slips gears. This has put me at risk on many occasion since owning the vehicle. When needing merge or get over into traffic this has been very dangerous. GM has made no attempt to permanently fix the issue.
So the rear window in the convertible top is coming on glued and it can cause issue water is starting to come in. I have seen alot of other cars and people complaining about this issue. When I contacted the dealership about this issue they kinda blew me off. To get it fixed is to replace the whole top at 3200 to 3800.
The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated that rainwater leaked into the vehicle on the front passenger’s side of the vehicle. The contact stated that they were unsure if the water was leaking by the rear seats of the vehicle. The contact could hear air entering the cabin of the vehicle and see some outside light entering through the top and sides of the convertible roof. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who stated that the sound of air and hints of light entering through the seal of the convertible roof was normal. However, the leaking was repaired by replacing the seals around the roof. The contact stated the failure reoccurred during the next inclement weather. Currently, the convertible top failed to return to the upward position after being lowered. Several attempts were needed for the convertible top to return to the closed position. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the repair was not covered under a recall nor under warranty. The approximate failure mileage was 40,042.
VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW. WITHIN THE FIRST 3 MONTHS WINDSHIELD HAS ALWAYS FOGGED UP. ISSUE SEEMED MINOR AT FIRST BUT IS ANNOYING AND IS A SAFETY HAZARD. WHEN RUNNING THE AC, I ALWAYS HAVE TO TURN ON WIPERS TO CLEAR-AND CONDENSATION IS ALWAYS RIGHT ABOVE DEFROST VENT.
MAINLY AT NIGHT THE WINDSHIELD HAS LOTS OF CONDENSATION ON THE OUTSIDE . THERE IS A SERVICE BULLETIN BUT IT DOESN'T HELP, ACTUALLY IT MADE MINE WORSE. YOU CAN FEEL THE AIR COMING FROM THE DEFROSTER ON THE INSIDE OF THE CAR. WE HAVE TO RIDE WITH THE WIPERS ON. I HAD A CASE WITH GM BUT IT WAS CLOSED BECAUSE THE ENGINEERS SAID THAT THERE IS NOTHING TO BE DONE. WE BOUGHT THE CAR IN FEBRUARY IT HAS SOME CONDENSATION BUT HAS ONLY GOTTEN WORSE
THE FRONT AND BACK WINDOWS GET A FILM ON THEM. WE WERE TOLD IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE LEATHER SEATS. WHEN THE CAR HAS BEEN SITTING WHEN YOU START THE CAR THERE IS A SHIFT FLARE FROM 1ST TO 2ND SPEED. IT DOES IT ONE TIME AFTER IT'S BEEN SITTING FOR AN HOUR OR SO.
2017 CAMARO ZL1 MANUAL THIS IS SPECIFIC FOR THIS CAR MODEL. THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THROTTLE RESPONSE WHEN MOVING OUT OF A STOP. ENGINE STALLS AND RPM COMES BACK AFTERWARD VERY HIGH. THIS IS DANGEROUS ON CROSS ROAD STOPS AND STOP LIGHTS. HAD FEW EVENTS THE CAR WOULD ALMOST STALL AND BE IN A DANGEROUS PLACE IN THE ROAD WITH UPCOMING TRAFFIC. THIS PROBLEM CAN CAUSE A COLLISION. IT REQUIRES NEW IGNITION TIMING PROGRAMMING OF THE ECU. CHEVROLET IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE FOR A LONG TIME AND HAS NOT ISSUED ANY FIXES YET.
THE MANUAL TRANSMISSION BOGS IN FIRST GEAR UNDER AGGRESSIVE ACCELERATION FROM A STANDING START. THIS MOST OFTEN OCCURS WHEN PULLING OUT INTO TRAFFIC. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE ALMOST STALL ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS IWHEN PULLING OUT INTO TRAFFIC. I BELIEVE THE CAUSE IS EXCESSIVE TORQUE MANAGEMENT IN THE VEHICLE'S ECU PROGRAM.
The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the front passenger’s side tire would shake. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The contact had all the tires replaced and the tires rotated; however, the failure persisted. Upon investigation, the contact's husband discovered what was commonly known as the "Chevrolet shake"; which was caused by the 8-speed transmission. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was referred to a dealer. The dealer was unable to diagnose the failure and provided the contact with an estimate to take the transmission apart to determine the cause of the failure. The contact declined the offer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
WHEN TAKING OFF FROM A STOP, AT NORMAL SPEED, THE ENGINE BOGS AND ALMOST STALLS. THIS REQUIRES A RE APPLICATION OF THE CLUTCH AND MORE THROTTLE TO PREVENT STALLING. THIS HAPPENS ALMOST DAILY. IT HAS HAPPENED WHILE PULLING INTO TRAFFIC FROM A DRIVEWAY AND ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING WITH A CLUTCH FOR OVER 30 YEARS ON BOTH CARS AND MOTORCYCLES. THERE IS A REAL PROBLEM WITH THE TORQUE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ON THIS CAR. PULLEY BEARING OR PULLEY TENSIONER IS SQUEAKING. THE SERVICE ADVISORS AT MY DEALER REFUSED TO BELIEVE ANY SORT OF NOISE, EXCEPT ANOTHER SERVICE REP SAID HE HEARS IT. THEY REFUSED TO FIX ANY ISSUE BECAUSE THEY'RE LAZY AND DONT WANT TO PAY FOR THE PART.
I DROVE THE CAR 4 MILES THEN TURNED IT OFF AND PARKED. UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE AGAIN THE POWER STEERING FAILED. A WARNING ON THE DASH INDICATED THAT THE POWER STEERING WAS NOT WORKING AND TO DRIVE CAREFULLY. I DROVE THE CAR BACK HOME 4 MILES AND PARKED IN THE GARAGE. THE CONDITION CLEARED AFTER I SHUT THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTED IT. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED WHEN THE INCIDENT OCCURRED.
AC BLOWS ON FRONT WINDOW CAUSING CONSTANT CONDENSATION ON WINDSHIELD. I HAVE TURNED THE AC ON AND OFF, ADJUSTED THE TEMPERATURE HIGH/LOW AND MY WINDSHIELD ALWAYS GETS FOGGED UP. THE HIGHER THE HUMIDITY THE WORSE IT IS.
THE WINDSHIELD FOGS UP WITH AND WITHOUT ACTIVATING THE DEFROST. THE FOG OCCURS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DRIVE AND OBSTRUCT THE DRIVER'S VIEW. THE FOG ALSO OCCURS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS POWERED ON AND IN PARK. HOWEVER, THE RISK IS THE VIEW OBSTRUCTION WHEN THIS OCCURS WHILE DRIVING. THIS HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR SEVERAL MONTHS AND SEEMS TO BE GETTING PROGRESSIVELY WORSE.
WAS IN A WRECK AND NOT ALL THE IR BAGS DEPLOYED, THE WHEELS CAME APART FROM THE TIRES AND THE WHEELS BROKE APART, AND THE SEAT BROKE

TL* THE CONTACT'S HUSBAND OWNS A 2017 CHEVROLET CAMARO. WHILE THE CONTACT'S HUSBAND WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 90 MPH, HE HEARD A LOUD BANGING NOISE. SUDDENLY, THE FRONT PASSENGER AND REAR DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAGS INADVERTENTLY DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT'S HUSBAND SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE FOREARM AND NECK PAIN THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO COURTESY CHEVROLET SAN DIEGO (750 CAMINO DEL RIO N, SAN DIEGO, CA 92108 (619) 297-4321), BUT NO DIAGNOSTIC FAILURE CODES WERE FOUND. THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE REPLICATED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SEEMED TO HAVE HIT SOMETHING; HOWEVER, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE DID NOT HIT ANYTHING. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE AIR BAGS PERFORMED AS INTENDED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 123.
CAR STALLS WITH MANUAL TRYING TO START FROM A STOP OR SHIFTING GEARS. OCCURRED TO ME SEVERAL TIMES. TWICE IN INTERSECTION ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. WHILE DRIVING THE CAR THROUGH CORNERS, THE STEERING WHEEL WILL INTERMITTENTLY STEER IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION THAT I'M TURNING. I FEEL THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN THAT CAN LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES, BUT THE FIRST INCIDENT OCCURRED MAY 12, 2017.
THEY HAVE A FLAW WHERE THERE IS ALWAYS VENT FROM WHEN THE AC IS ON TO THE DEFROST VENT ON THE WINDSHIELD, HERE IN TEXAS WHERE THERE IS 100 HUMIDITY MOST OF THE YEAR. I HAVE POOR VISIBILITY BECAUSE OF ALL THE CONDENSATION FROM COLD AIR HITTING THE WINDSHIELD ALL THE TIME. I AM HAVING TO RUN MY WIPERS ANYTIME I DRIVE MY VEHICLE, EVEN WITH NO RAIN. IT CAUSES FOR A MAJOR DISTRACTION AND I HAVE ALMOST WRECK SEVERAL TIMES
BOUGHT THE VEHICLE BRAND NEW JANUARY 2017...2017 CONVERTIBLE CAMARO SS. 6 WEEKS LATER THE BRAKES HAVE BEEN SQUEAKING ALL DAY EVERY DAY. THEY SQUEAK ON ANY TYPE OF ROAD AND AT ANY TIME OF THE DAY. I HAVE BROUGHT IT TO 3 DEALERSHIPS TO BE LOOKED AT AND FILED A FORMAL COMPLAINT WITH GM THEY REFUSE TO HELP ME WITH ANYTHING. I HAVE FOUND THOUSANDS OF THE SAME COMPLAINTS ONLINE AND IS JUST REFUSING TO FIX THE ISSUE OR REFUND THE MONEY FOR THESE VEHICLES. THEY ARE SAYING THE SQUEAKING OF THE BRAKES IS NORMAL. I ASKED FOR THEM TO REPLACE THEM AND FIX THE ISSUE AND THEY WON'T. NOW WHEN THE VEHICLE GETS OVER 50 MPH THE WHOLE FRONT END ALSO VIBRATES AND WHEN I COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AND PRESS THE GAS TO ACCELERATE IT LUNGES FORWARD. NOTHING IS BEING FIXED.
WINDSHIELD CONSTANTLY FOGS REGARDLESS OF THE AC TEMPERATURE. THIS AFFECT VISIBILITY ON A CAR THAT'S ALREADY FAMOUS FOR HAVING TERRIBLE VISIBILITY.
Complete loss of electronic power steering going around a corner with no audio or visual warning, or any information in the electronic control unit for the power steering system. This happened at corner of my house at less than 30 miles an hour causing my vehicle to hit the curb the left front wheel broke off went into the body and caused the unibody damage which totaled the car. I have surveillance video of the incident
