TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 CHEVROLET CAMARO. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH AND EXITING THE HIGHWAY, ALL THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL, BUT THE VEHICLE DID NOT RESPOND. THE CONTACT VEERED TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD, ALLOWING THE VEHICLE TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND BACK ON, WHICH FAILED TO RETURN THE VEHICLE TO NORMAL. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AT LOW SPEEDS TO SIERRA CHEVROLET (721 E CENTRAL AVE, MONROVIA, CA 91016, (626) 605-1537). THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE ASSIST MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER TO HAVE THE BRAKE MODULE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO MAINTENANCE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 9-5640437071. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 74,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
I would like to report a safety concern with my car having a strong shuddering or vibration, including the steering wheel which I’m unable to move. When this happens RPM remain below 3000 rpm as if the the gears were having trouble changing, the shaking remains while driving in the city at around 25-35 mph and highway speeds at around 65-76 mph. My car was under warranty when this started happening, the dealership flushed and replaced the transmission fluid and it took care of the problem for about 2000 miles (GM has several bulletins in regards to the “shake” on different model vehicles since 2014). When the shuddering returned, I returned to the freedom Chevrolet where I bought the vehicle (actual mileage 53768) and explained the shuddering returning. I was advised to leave the car which now has been at the dealership for months and they refuse to fix the problem stating it is out of warranty. I provided all the bulletins I found on related issue which GM has stated they fix the problem by swapping the transmission on new cars but nothing has been done on the cars that have the existing problem because “there is no recall” as the service advisor stated. This problem could’ve been resolved when I took the car the first time but I wasn’t aware of the severity of the problem or that I would have so much trouble with the dealership now. All I asked is to honor the warranty as the issue was brought up when the vehicle was still under warranty and has less than 60,000 miles.
THE CONVERTIBLE TOP HAD A RECALL ON MY CAR. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY KEPT THE CAR FOR A WHILE AND REPLACED THE TOP BUT IMMEDIATELY AFTER I TOOK IT HOME THE MECHANICAL MECHANISM BROKE AND HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO USE THE TOP AND NO ONE HAS CONTACTED ME TO REPLACE THE RECALLED TOP AND MOTOR TO THE CONVERTIBLE TOP PORTION
BACK GLASS BEGAN COMING LOOSE FROM RAG TOP AROUND THE EDGES OF THE GLASS STARTING AT THE BOTTOM OF THE GLASS PANEL IN THE CORNERS AT ABOUT 34,000 MILES. BACK GLASS COULD POTENTIALLY BLOW OUT AND CAUSE DAMAGE OR HARM TO OTHER MOTORIST OR PASSENGERS. *TR
AS I'M DRIVING AT 55MPH OR HIGHER, ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE CAR SHUTS OFF AND COMES RIGHT BACK ON AND ALL YOU SEE ARE ALL THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS TURN ON AND OFF ALL AT ONCE WHICH IS SCARY BECAUSE WHEN THAT HAPPENS, YOU HAVE NO CONTROL OF THE CAR BECAUSE ONCE THE CAR SHUTS OFF, FOR THAT ONE OR TWO SECONDS IT DOES THIS YOU HAVE NO CONTROL AND THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKS ON YOU. THE CAR WILL ALSO NOT ALLOW YOU TO PRESS ON THE GAS PEDDLE TO MAKE THE SPEED GO UP, AT TIME WHEN I DEPRESS THE GAS PEDDLE, THE CAR HESITATES AND DOES NOT WANT TO ACCELERATE AND THEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN IT ACCELERATES AT A VERY HIGH SPEED WITHOUT YOU CONTROLLING IT.
TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING ENGINE SURGING BETWEEN 35 AN 60 MPH.
WHILE DRIVING IN THE CITY AS WELL AS INTERSTATE, VEHICLE STARTED SHUDDERING AT LOW RPM.
PUT CAR IN PARK AND THEN TURNED VEHICLE OFF. ONCE TURNED OFF SHIFT TO PARK MESSAGE COMES ON.
DRIVING VEHICLE AND POWER STEERING FAILED WHILE CAR WAS IN MOTION. MESSAGE ON DASH BOARD READ SERVICE POWER STEERING.
I PURCHASED THIS CAR NEW IN OCTOBER, 2016. MY TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS STARTED SOON AFTER OWNING IT, GROWING WORSE AS TIME WENT ON. THE CAR WOULD NOT SHIFT, ONCE IT DID, IT LURCHED. IT WOULD MISS SHIFTING, LAG, DELAY AND ROUGHLY DRIVE, EVEN THOUGH BEING AN AUTOMATIC. THE DEALER ONLY SERVICED NEW SOFTWARE UPDATES; ALL ELSE WAS IGNORED. IN EARLY AUGUST, 2019, A SERVICE MANAGER TOLD ME TO GET A SECOND OPINION. I SOON DISCOVERED THAT GM IS BEING SUED, VIA CLASS ACTION LAW SUITS AS MY PROBLEMS ARE BEING EXPERIENCED BY MANY OTHERS, YET THEY STILL SELL NEW CARS WITH THIS SAME TRANSMISSION. ON AUGUST 17, 2019, I TRADED IT BACK IN TO THE DEALER WITH ONLY 17,400 MILES ON IT, NOT KNOWING THAT I WOULD BE STIFFED ON THE TRADE IN VALUE. GM DID ALMOST NOTHING TO HELP ME, FINALLY ADMITTING THAT THEY KNOW THEY HAVE A PROBLEM, BUT NO SOLUTION. I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT MOST TRADE PUBLICATIONS AND MEDIA OUTLETS HAVE NOT RUN THIS STORY ALERTING THE PUBLIC THAT GM IN KNOWINGLY SELLING CARS WITH BAD TRANSMISSIONS. HOW DO I RECOVER MY LOSSES? BLUE TOOTH DOESN'T WORK CONSISTENTLY. I HAVE TO YELL IN ORDER FOR SOMEONE CALLING TO HEAR ME.SOMETIMES THAT DOESN'T EVEN WORK. WHETHER I HAVE MY PHONE HOOKED UP OR NOT.
I BOUGHT THE CAR NEW. IT'S BEEN IN SHOP 3 TIMES ALREADY DUE TO TRANSMISSION ISSUES. ALWAYS WANTING TO ADD DIFFERENT TRANSMISSION FLUIDS/FLUSHING 18-NA-355. CAR HAS VIBRATION AND SHUDDER AT HIGHWAY SPEED. JERKS AS WHEN GEARS CHANGE OUT FOR AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. MY CAR HAS LOW MILES AND VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF INSIDE AND OUT. THE CAR VIBRATES WHEN DRIVING AT SPEEDS OVER 30 MPH. IT FEELS LIKE YOU ARE DRIVING OVER RUMBLE STRIP. IT DOES THIS EVERY TIME I DRIVE IT NOW. IT ALSO SHIFTS HARD AS IT CHANGES GEARS. I HAD TO HAVE A NEW REAR BOOT PUT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. ALL OF THE GREASE IN THE REAR WHEEL BOOT WAS ALL OVER MY WHEEL. THERE IS A ROAR IN THE REAR END WHEN YOU FIRST PULL OUT ONTO THE ROAD. IT FEELS LIKE IT IS IN THE REAR AXLE.
TRANSMISSION HESITATES HARD SHIFTS VIBRATES AND SHUDDERS WHEN ACCELERATING. ESPECIALLY NOTICABLE BETWEEN 55 TO 85 MPH. VERY DANGEROUS WHEN DRIVING ON HIGHWAY OR INTERSTATE AS THE HESITATION DURING SHUDDER MAY DELAY CRITICAL MANEUVERING OF VEHICLE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 CHEVROLET CAMARO. UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE POWER STEERING WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND THE POWER STEERING WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AGAIN. TO RESUME NORMAL DRIVING, THE CONTACT HAD TO PULL THE VEHICLE OVER AND RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V086000 (STEERING); HOWEVER, A VIN SEARCH SHOWED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,000.
TAKAYA RECALL 2017 CAMARO 35K MILES WHEN MY CAR IS IN MOTION IT SHIFTS GEARS VERY HARD AND WHEN I AM GOING HIGHWAY SPEED AROUND 66-72 MY CAR STARTS VIBRATING LIKE IT'S ABOUT TO FALL APART BUT WHEN I'M GOING DOWN A HILL AT THAT SAME SPEED I DON'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM.

THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO CHEVROLET MONTEBELLO (310 W WHITTIER BLVD, MONTEBELLO, CA 90640, (323) 680-5933) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT AN OIL CHANGE WAS NEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE LATER RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
FEB 2019, I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE CHEVY DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED MY CAMARO BACK IN APRIL 2017, STATING THAT MY VEHICLE HAS A SAFETY RECALL WHICH EFFECT THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING. I READ UP ON THE RECALL WHICH STATED, THE ELECTRIC STEERING CAN FAIL WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE WHICH WILL MAKE IT HARD TO STEER. I CONTACTED THE DEALER TO BRING MY CAR IN FOR SERVICE, THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS NO REMEDY FOR THE RECALL AND THAT THEY WILL REACH OUT TO ME WHEN THEY HAVE ONE. MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBER N182182760. NHTSA RECALL NUMBER, 19V086 * (RECALL RELATED INCIDENT) TS IT IS NOW JUNE 2019 AND ON 6/16/19, I WAS DRIVING MY CAR ABOUT 15-20MPH, DRIVING AROUND A ROUNDABOUT AND MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKED ON ME, CAUSING ME TO WRECK MY CAR WHICH CAUSED MY SEAT AND OVERHEAD AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY ALONG WITH SUSPENSION, WHEEL AND BODY DAMAGE. I HAD THE WHEEL TURNED LEFT GOING AROUND THE CIRCLE AND AS I WAS TRYING TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL BACK TO THE RIGHT TO EXIT THE ROUNDABOUT, MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKED, CAUSING ME TO RUN OVER TOP OF THE CURB STRIKING MY WHEELS ON THE EDGE OF THE STEEL SEWER AND BACK INTO THE STREET STRIKING THE LEFT SIDE OF MY VEHICLE ON AN ISLAND EXITING THE ROUNDABOUT WHICH CAUSED MY AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY. ONCE MY AIRBAGS DEPLOYED MY ENGINE AND ELECTRICAL WAS SHUT DOWN AUTOMATICALLY. I DID SUFFER A HARD IMPACT ON MY LEFT SHOULDER FROM THE AIRBAG. GM FINALLY CAME UP WITH A REMEDY THIS MONTH 6/2019 FOR THE RECALL. A REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE DEALER GAVE ME GM'S CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER TO CALL AND REPORT THE INCIDENT. I HAD TO FILE AN INSURANCE CLAIM WITH MY INSURANCE AND IF MY CAR IS REPAIRABLE, I WOULD HAVE TO PAY MY DEDUCTIBLE AND SUFFER HIGHER INSURANCE RATES ALL BECAUSE OF A RECALL THAT GM FAIL TO REPAIR IN A TIMELY MANNER. THE VEHICLE HAD SLOWED DOWN IN HEAVY TRAFFIC AND WHEN NEEDING TO MANEUVER THE STEERING WHEEL IT SEIZED CAUSING A FENDER BENDER TO THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL CLICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE STEERING WHEEL. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES SUSTAINED. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AT THE CONTACTS RESIDENCE DUE TO THE FAILURE. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED YET TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. AS OF JUNE 15TH, 2019, THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V086000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE IN FRONT. THE CONTACT VEHICLE FRONT END WAS SEVERELY DAMAGED. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT WAS NOT INJURED, NO ONE ELSE WAS IN THE VEHICLE WITH THE CONTACT. THE PERSON THAT THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO WAS NOT INJURED. THERE WAS NO NEED FOR MEDICAL ATTENTION. NO POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL BODY SHOP. THE VEHICLE NEEDED A NEW HOOD, FRONT LIGHTS AND BUMPER. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. A NHTSA ID NUMBER/ODI: 11220867 WAS FILED PREVIOUSLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER STEERING , RECALL WAS ISSUED FEBRUARY 7TH. I AM EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE ALMOST DAILY WHILE MY VEHICLE IS IN MOTION ANYWHERE AND THERE IS STILL NO REMEDY FOR THIS ISSUE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND STATED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
DEALERSHIP IS AWAITING GENERAL MOTORS ANSWER ON WHAT TO DO BUT IT'S STILL LISTED FOR SALE ON WEBSITES
MY CONVERTIBLE REAR WINDOW IS DETACHING FROM THE RAGTOP. MY CONCERN IS THAT THE WINDOW WILL BLOW OUT COMPLETELY AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.
THE WINDOW IN THE CONVERTIBLE TOP IS COMING OUT. I WAS TOLD THAT THIS IS NOT COVERED ON WARRANTY BECAUSE I WAS 2000 MILES OVER. WITH THE AGE OF THIS VEHICLE THIS NOT HAVE HAPPENED. I BOUGHT THE CAR LAST YEAR.
TORQUE CONVERTER SHUDDER, HARD JERKY SHIFT ..VIBRATION AROUND HIGHWAY SPEED,VIBRATION GOES AWAY WHEN LET OFF GAS PEDAL... LAGG IN ACCELERATION AROUND WHEN CAR IS ALREADY IN MOTION.. HAD THE TRANSMISSION FLUID FLUSH 3 TIMES WITH MY LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP... THEY SAID THERES NOTHING GOING CAN DO ANYTHING TO FIX IT IF THERES NO CODE INDICATING THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG.. BY THE TIME IT THROW A CODE EITHER THE TRANSMISSION OR THE TORQUE CONVERTER FAIL.
MY CAMARO SHAKES VIOLENTLY WHEN THE CAR CRUISES AT AROUND 1,200 TO 1,400 RPM. I HAVE TAKEN IT BACK TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND HAVE HAD THE TRANSMISSION TRIPLED FLUSHED. THE PROBLEM GOES AWAY FOR A FEW DAYS AND THEN RETURNS. THE DEALER SAYS THAT THEY CANNOT DO ANY MORE TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM, BUT THE VIBRATION IS GETTING WORSE. I AM CONCERNED FOR BOTH THE SAFETY AND DECREASED VALUE OF MY CASE AS A RESULT OF GM IGNORING THIS PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN PRESENT SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN 2018.
AFTER ACCELERATION THE STEERING WILL RANDOMLY PULL LEFT AND OR RIGHT. THIS REQUIRES AN UNEXPECTED FORCE TO CONTROL CAUSING A SAFETY CONCERN. THIS CAN HAPPEN AT ANY TIME OR WEATHER BUT NORMALLY AT THE BEGINNING OF A DRIVE. ONGOING ISSUE.
I RECEIVED NOTIFICATION THAT MY 2017 CHEVROLET CAMARO HAS A RECALL FOR THE POWER STEERING. THE NOTIFICATION STATES THE DEALER WILL REPLACE THE POWER STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY; HOWEVER, WHEN I CONTACTED THE DEALER TO HAVE THE RECALL FIXED THEY SAID NO REMEDY IS READY YET.
HELLO! I WANT TO REPORT GM ON THE INFAMOUS 8L45 TRANSMISSION SHUDDER. I HAVE HAD THE FLUID CHANGED IN 2018, THE TORQUE CONVERTER CHANGED IN 2018, AND THE FLUID FLUSHED WITH THE NA-18-355 BULLETIN BACK LAST YEAR. ALTHOUGH THE SHUDDER HASN'T RETURNED. I DON'T TRUST THAT THIS TRANSMISSION SHOWS QUALITY. I WORRY THAT THIS WILL LAST UNTIL OUR WARRANTIES ARE UP AND WE'RE ON OUR OWN. THIS NOT ACCEPTABLE. THIS IS A WEAK POINT OF THIS AMAZING CAR. I HAD ROUGH SHIFTING AND I'VE HAD SHIFTS THAT BUCKED. THIS IS NOT SAFE. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL OR GM SHOULD GIVE EVERYONE A LONGER WARRANTY ON THESE TRANSMISSIONS.

CAR VIBRATES INTENSELY WHILE ACCELERATING. TYPICALLY ON THE HIGHWAY BETWEEN 60 AND 70 MPH.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 60 -70 MPH IN LIGHT TO MEDIUM RAIN AND IT WAS AROUND 35 DEGRESS, MY BRAKES FAILED TO WORK. I PRESSED ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THERE WAS NO RESISTANCE. THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND NO BRAKES WERE APPLIED UNTIL 3 SEC. IT FELT LIKE IT WAS BUILDING PRESSURE AND AFTER 3SEC IT APPLIED THE BRAKES FORCEBLY BECUSE THE PETAL WAS ON THE FLOOR. IT WAS VERY SCARY AND I ALMOST GOT INTO SEVERAL ACCIDENTS. THE PROBLEM KEPT OCCURING DURING THE ENTIRE 3 HR DRIVE. EVERYTIME I WANTED TO USE THE BRAKES I HAD NONE UNTI AFTER 3SEC. THE CAR HAS 25000 MILES AND STILL THE FACTORY TIRES. AROUND 4MONTHS AGO I HAD THE ROTORS AND PADS CHANGED OUT BY THE DEALER. AFTER I REACHED MY DESTINATION MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. NOT SURE IF ITS RELATED OR AOTHER NEW ISSUE. CAR HAS BEEN AT THE DEALER FOR 3DAYS NOW.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO RIVERSIDE CHEVROLET (8200 AUTO DRIVE, RIVERSIDE, CA 92504, (951)-688-8111) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE CONTACT DID NOT RECEIVE THE INSPECTION REPORT TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE AND VIN WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
HARD SHIFTS BETWEEN 1ST & 2ND GEAR VIBRATION BETWEEN 1500 & 1800 RPM. THIS CAR HAS ACTIVE FUEL MANAGEMENT VIBRATION SEEMS TO HAPPEN WORSE WHEN IN 4 CYLINDER MODE. GM IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND KEEPS PROMISING A FIX WHICH HAS YET TO BE RELEASED. BLAME IT ON FLUID IN TRANSMISSION.
MY CAR HAS BEEN HAVING A LOT OF VIBRATIONS, SPUTTERING, RUMBLING WHILE DRIVING. ESPECIALLY WHEN SPEEDING UP. IT HAPPENS WHILE IN CRUISE CONTROL ALSO. I TOOK IT TO BE SERVICED AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE TORQUE CONVERTER. THEY FLUSHED THE SYSTEM AND SAID IT SHOULD CLEAR UP AFTER 200 MILES WITH THE NEW FLUID THEY REPLACED. I TOOK IT BACK BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN OVER 500 MILES AND IS STILL HAPPENING. I WAS TOLD ALL THEY CAN DO IS REPLACE THE FLUID AGAIN FOR NOW UNTIL THEY FIX THE PROBLEM. WHY ARE THEY NOT ABLE TO REPLACE THE TORQUE CONVERTER NOW BEFORE IT CAUSES MORE INTENSIVE DAMAGE? I AM AFRAID AS IT GETS WORSE I WILL BE BROKEN DOWN ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WITH A CAR THAT IS IN WORSE REPAIR THAN IT SHOULD BE.

VALMARK CHEVROLET (725 I-35, NEW BRAUNFELS, TX 78130, (830) 261-4037) WAS ALSO CONTACTED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER FAILED TO PROVIDE THE PART FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V086000 (STEERING) SINCE FEBRUARY 7, 2019. THE VEHICLE WAS RETAINED BY BOTH DEALERS AND WAS UNABLE TO BE DRIVEN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
IN HUMID CONDITIONS THE CAR WINDSHIELD WILL FOG UP (CONDENSATION). THIS IS CAUSED BY AIR LEAKING FROM THE FRONT DEFROSTER VENT. COVERING THE VENT RESOLVES THE ISSUE. GM ISSUED TSB;#17-NA-201: EXCESSIVE WINDSHIELD CONDENSATION, HVAC DEFROST DOOR FLUTTER TYPE NOISE HEARD - (JUN 16, 2017). HAD THE REPAIR PERFORMED IN 2017. THE ISSUE IS NOT RESOLVED AND APPEARS WORSE NOW. THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE W/ THIS GENERATION OF CAMARO. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN AS IT IMPEDES IMMEDIATE VISIBILITY.
GAS PEDDLE STUCK TO THE FLOOR TWICE WHILE I WAS IN MOTION ON A COUNTRY HIGHWAY, FORCING ME TO HIGH SPEEDS BEFORE I COULD SHUT DOWN ENGINE STOP AND PULL PEDDLE UP OFF FLOOR. REAR OF PEDDLE MOUNT BROKE LOOSE FROM FLOOR CAUSING PEDDLE TO OVERLAP FRONT OF MOUNT. DEALER TRIED TO SAY IT IS FINE JUST DONT PUSH IT HARD AND IT WONT STICK I INSIST IT BE REPLACED DEALER IS RELUCTANT TO FIX SENT ME HOME WITH BROKEN PEDDLE AND SAYS THEY ARE ORDERING PARTS. THESE PEDDLES ARE CHEAP JUNK AND I BELEIVE MORE WILL FAIL.
THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED WE WERE DRIVING BACK FROM NC TO VA ON THE INTERSTATE AND THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT. WE GOT A MESSAGE THAT SAID POWER STEERING LOST DRIVE WITH CAUTION. THE 2ND TIME THIS HAPPENED I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY AND GOT THE SAME MESSAGE. BOTH TIMES ONCE THE CAR WAS TURNED OFF AND SAT FOR AWHILE THE POWER STEERING CAME BACK. THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND CHECKED OUT. PER THEM, THEY COULD FIND ANYTHING WRONG.
SAME ISSUE AS OTHER'S HAVE REPORTED. WINDSHIELD FOGS UP RIGHT ABOVE DASH VENT EVEN WHEN THAT VENT IS NOT SELECTED AND A/C IS RUNNING. HAPPENS OFTEN.
FRONT WINDSHIELD KEEPS FOGGING UP TO THE POINT WHEN DRIVING IT BECOMES A SAFETY HAZARD. TOOK IN TO GET IT FIXED BY DEALER ACCORDING TO THE FIX CHEVY PROVIDED AND THE FIX MADE IT WORSE, I CAN'T DRIVE WITH AIR ON OR WINDOWS WILL FOG UP AND INTERFERE WITH VISIBILITY. IT IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD WHEN DRIVING.
THE REAR WINDOW ON MY CONVERTIBLE IS DELAMINATING FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP. ITS CONCERNING CONSIDERING THE POSSIBILITY OF IT FALLING OUT AND SHATTERING ON A PASSENGERS HEAD! THE FLIPPER DOORS ON THE INTERIOR REAR QUARTER PANELS HAVE ALSO BROKEN. A SERVICE BULLETIN WAS PREVIOUSLY RELEASED, BUT THE DEALERSHIP REFUSED TO FIXED BOTH ISSUES.
WINDSHIELD FOGS UP WHEN DRIVING TO THE POINT THAT VISIBILITY IS SO OBSCURED YOU CAN'T DRIVE. WHEN YOU TURN DEFOG ON, THE OUTSIDE GLASS FOGS UP AND YOU MUST USE WIPERS BUT THE FOGGING REOCCURS SO QUICKLY THAT IT STILL OBSTRUCTS VIEW
WHILE IN MOTION THE CARS POWER STEERING WARNING COMES ON & MAKES IT ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN THE WHEEL. SO WHEN YOU TURN CAR OFF IT GOES AWAY BUT THEN COMES ON AGAIN WHILE IN MOTION. IT HAS BEEN IN SHOP 3 TIMES ALREADY & HAS YET TO BE FIXED. IT'S ALREADY HAPPENED ATLEAST 7 TIMES & THEY STILL CAN'T FIND OR FIX THE PROBLEM.
THE WINDSHIELD IS CONSTANTLY FOGGING TO THE POINT THAT IT IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. HALF OF THE WINDSHIELD FOGS OVER BECAUSE GM STATES THAT ITS DESIGNED THAT WAY....WHICH IS GREAT IF DRIVING WITH MY HEAD OUT THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW. I HAVE SENT MULTIPLE PICTURES TO GM AND THEY SAY ITS NORMAL. IT'S SO RIDICULOUS THAT THE OWNER OF THE DEALERSHIP OFFERED TO BUY THE VEHICLE BACK BECAUSE GM IS NO HELP. GM CAN NOT BE ALLOWED TO DISMISS THIS SEROIUS PLROBLEM. IF YOU CANT SEE OUT OF A WINDSHIELD, HOW IS ANYONE SUPPOSE TO DRIVE A VEHICLE SAFELY??? I CAN SUBMIT MULTIPLE PICTURES OF MYSELF ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE WHILE THIS IS HAPPENING.
CAR COMES EQUIPPED WITH EPS (ELECTRIC POWER STEERING ASSIST). I HAVE HAD TWO OCCASIONS SINCE OWNERSHIP WHERE POWER STEERING CEASES TO WORK WHILE I'M DRIVING AND THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. THE FIRST OCCURRENCE HAPPENED AT AROUND 8K MILES AND I WAS ON THE FREEWAY. I LOST POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING! I TOOK IT TO AUTONATION CHEVROLET IN AUSTIN TX AND THEY REPLACED A CONNECTOR. I RECEIVED THE CAR BACK AND THEN AT 11,000 MILES IT OCCURRED AGAIN: HTTPS://YOUTU.BE/RRNMXBNKXWM -- THIS TIME I TAKE IT BACK AND SHOW THEM THE VIDEO AS WELL AND THE DEALER TELLS ME BECAUSE THEY CAN'T REPLICATE THE ISSUE, THEY REFUSE TO REPLACE THE STEERING TORQUE SENSOR OR STEERING RACK (WHICH HAVE BEEN FOUND TO BE THE CULPRITS OF THESE ISSUES.) FOR THE REASON THAT GM WILL NOT REIMBURSE THEM IF THEY CAN'T REPLICATE THE ISSUE AND THEY NEED TO WAIT TILL IT FULLY BREAKS... ...THEY ALSO LITERALLY TOLD ME THAT IT SWITCHES TO MANUAL STEERING AND THAT IT SHOULD STILL BE OKAY.. AND THIS IS A $50,000 CAR.. THIS IS NOT OKAY, IF I LOSE POWER STEERING IN THE MIDDLE OF A CRITICAL TURN UNEXPECTEDLY, IT COULD VERY WELL PUT ME INTO A DITCH.
