MARCH 26, 2010- 2005 CHEVROLET COBALT STARTED BEEPING. "POWER STEERING" WARNING APPEARED. CAR BECAME HARD TO STEER. CAR SPUTTERED AND STALLED OUT. AFTER TURNING THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON, CAR FUNCTIONED NORMALLY ENOUGH TO BE DRIVEN TO FAIRWAY MOTORS IN HAZLETON. POWER STEERING WAS FOUND TO BE BROKEN AND WAS FIXED UNDER THE RECALL. APRIL 1ST, 2010- CAR STARTED BEEPING. "POWER STEERING" WARNING APPEARED. CAR SPUTTERED AND STALLED OUT AS I PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT. THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT TURN AT ALL, IT WAS STUCK IN PLACE. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO ARMEN CHEVROLET IN ARDMORE. THE POWER STEERING WAS ONCE AGAIN FOUND TO BE FAULTY AND WAS FIXED. APRIL 23RD, 2010- ONCE AGAIN THE CAR STARTED BEEPING. "POWER STEERING" WARNING APPEARED AND THE CAR SPUTTERED AND STALLED OUT ON US 30 IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. TURNED THE CAR OFF AND ON AGAIN AND WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR TO ARMEN CHEVROLET AGAIN. ARMEN CHEVROLET CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR. DIAGNOSTICS ARE NEGATIVE, NO RECORD OF THE INCIDENT IN THE CARS MEMORY, 130 MILE TEST SO FAR HAS NOT REPLICATED THE PROBLEM. I CONTACTED THE DISTRICT SPECIALIST FOR CHEVROLET, NICK CHRISTENSEN,WHO CLAIMED TO BE KEEPING IN CONTACT WITH ARMEN CHEVROLET, STATED TO ME TODAY (MONDAY, MAY 3, 2010) THAT THE DEALER HAD DRIVEN MY CAR 240 MILES, DID NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG, AND NICK ADVISED ME TO GO PICK UP MY CAR. THE DEALER INFORMED ME THAT IN FACT, THEY HAVE ONLY DRIVEN THE CAR 130 MILES, FOUND A FAULTY SHIFTER (WHICH IS NOT RELATED TO THE CAR STALLING OUT, BUT STILL NEEDS TO BE FIXED BEFORE I TAKE THE CAR), AND THAT THEY STILL NEED TO CONTINUE DRIVING THE CAR UNTIL THEY REACH 240 MILES. NICK ALSO STATED THAT AFTER THE DEALER HAS DRIVEN THE CAR 240 MILES, IF ARMEN CHEVROLET CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR THAT THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING FURTHER AND THAT I BASICALLY HAVE TO TAKE MY CHANCES WITH THE CAR STALLING OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC AGAIN (FOR THE 4TH TIME) AND I SHOULD HAVE IT TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP AT THAT TIME. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNED A 2005 CHEVROLET COBALT. THE VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY BETWEEN 45-50 MPH AND SUDDENLY WANDERED INTO THE OPPOSING LANE. THE DRIVER WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD ON FATAL CRASH. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED OF THE INCIDENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN IMPOUND LOT. THE CAUSE OF FAILURE HAD NOT BEEN DETERMINED AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE VEHICLE WAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET COBALT. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME EXTREMELY STIFF AND WAS DIFFICULT TO TURN. THE POWER STEERING WOULD MALFUNCTION INTERMITTENTLY WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING. THE FAILURE BECAME PROGRESSIVELY WORSE UNTIL THE VEHICLE LOST ALL POWER STEERING CAPABILITIES. THE DEALER ADVISED REPAIRS COULD NOT BE MADE UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 10V073000 (STEERING: ELECTRIC POWER ASSIST SYSTEM) BECAUSE THE PARTS NEEDED TO MAKE REPAIRS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 66,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 70,280.
MY 2005 CHEVY COBALT HAS SEVERAL ISSUE WITH TRACTION CONTROL, ABS, AND EMERGENCY BRAKES. I HAVE TAKEN THIS CAR TO THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS MULTIPLE TIMES AND THE SAME PROBLEM KEEPS RECURRING. ALL THE WARNING LIGHT FOR TC, ABS, AND EMERGENCY BRAKE ARE ON AGAIN AND WHEN THIS SENSOR FAILS THE CAR SHIFTS GEARS AND LOSES TRACTION CONTROL. VERY DANGEROUS ESPECIALLY IN WET WEATHER CONDITIONS. I HAVE HEARD THIS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE TYPES OF CHEVY CARS. SO WHAT'S IT GOING TO TAKE TO GET A RECALL! A FATALITY? SOMEONE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 CHEVY COBALT LS WITH POWER STEERING PROBLEMS AND SWITCH PROBLEMS. MY HUSBAND TOOK IT TO AUTO ZONE AND TOLD HIM THAT THE POWER STEERING WAS GOOD SO WE TOOK OUR CAR HOME WITH DANGER. SINCE THAT DAY WE HAVE ALOTS OF PROBLEMS. HE HAD TO REPLACE SEVERAL PARTS TO THE CAR. I WANTED TO GIVE MY REPORT BECAUSE I FEEL UNSAFE ON MY VEHICLE FOR ME AND MY KIDS AND OTHERS PEOPLE LIFE. *TR
LOWER A-ARM BUSHINGS REPLACED WITH ONLY 58,000 MILES ALSO UPPER STRUT MOUNTS ARE ALSO BAD AND NEED REPLACED. *TR
TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHT COMES ON THEN MY DAUGHTERS' CAR JERKS VIOLENTLY AT TIMES AND SHE HAS TROUBLE MAINTAINING CONTROL OF HER CAR , (2005 CHEVY COBALT). THIS PROBLEM ALMOST CAUSED HER TO LOOSE TOTAL CONTROL OF HER CAR THIS PAST SPRING , COMING TOO CLOSE TO CAUSING A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. THIS HAPPENS PERIODICALLY , NO SET TIME SPAN , IT HAS HAPPENED ABOUT 6 OR 8 TIMES SINCE LAST SPRING. OUR GM DEALER SAID SHE SHOULD BRING THE CAR IN WHILE THE WARNING LIGHT IS ON SO THEY CAN PULL THE CODE. UNFORTUNATELY , WHEN THE CAR IS STOPPED AND PUT INTO PARK , THE LIGHT GOES AWAY. AND ALL OF THESE TIMES EXCEPT ONE , THIS PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED AFTER THE DEALERSHIP IS CLOSED OR WELL BEFORE THEY OPEN , OR SHE IS NOWHERE NEAR ANY GM OR CHEVY DEALERSHIP. THIS PROBLEM IS NOT ISOLATED , I HAVE READ OF OTHER COBALT OWNERS EXPERIENCING THE SAME TRACTION CONTROL PROBLEM WITH SOME OF THE SAME RESULTS OR RESULTS THAT ARE DIFFERENT FROM MY DAUGHTERS CAR. THE POINT BEING (AT LEAST IN THIS CASE) I BELIEVE THAT GM OR CHEVY SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR TAKING CARE OF THE PROBLEM , BEFORE THERE IS AN ACCIDENT THAT CAUSES SEVERE INJURY OR DEATH . I READ ABOUT ALL THE OTHERS WITH THIS PROBLEM ON THE "REPAIR PAL" WEBSITE. THE MODEL YEARS SEEM TO BE BETWEEN "04" AND "07". THE ONE TIME MY DAUGHTER WAS ABLE TO GET HER CAR INTO THE GM DEALER WHILE THE LIGHT WAS ON , SHE HAD TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK SO SHE COULD GO IN TO GET SOMEONE TO HOOK UP THEIR COMPUTER AND PULL THE CODE. WHEN THEY CAME BACK OUT , THE TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHT WAS OUT , AS I STATED EARLIER ABOUT PUTTING THE VEHICLE IN PARK. THEREFORE THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DO ANYTHING SINCE THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT ERGO , NO CODE TO PULL. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET COBALT. THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 10V073000 (STEERING: ELECTRIC POWER ASSISTS SYSTEM). THE CONTACT STATED HE INQUIRED WITH THE DEALER FIVE TIMES OVER A PERIOD OF FOUR MONTHS AS TO WHEN HE WOULD BE ABLE TO HAVE THE VEHICLE REPAIRED. THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THE PARTS NEEDED TO MAKE REPAIRS WERE NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 26,000. I WAS DRIVING ON RT 222 IN PENNSYLVANIA WHEN THE POWER STEERING IN MY CHEVY COBALT FAILED. THIS MADE IT DIFFICULT TO STEER THE VEHICLE. I STOPPED TEH VEHICLE APPROX 20 NMINUTES AFTER THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF. I THEN RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND THE POWER STEERING BEGAN WORKING AGAIN.
WHEN GOING DOWN A HILL OR COMING TO A STOP THE WHOLE STEERING WHEEL SHAKES. TOOK IT TO A GARAGE AND HE SAID THAT THE U JOINT IN THE STEERING COLUMN IS BAD AND IS VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE, COULD LOSE CONTROL OF THE CAR. MY DAUGHTER DRIVES THIS CAR, BUT NOT ANYMORE. GARAGE SAYS HE HAS HAD ALOT OF COBALT'S WITH THIS ISSUE. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS, OR DOES SOMEONE HAVE TO DIE FIRST? *TR
THE DOOR LATCHES ON BOTH MY PASSANGER AND DRIVER SIDE DOORS HAVE BEEN GETTING STUCK FREQUENTLY OVER THE LAST 2 WEEKS. WHEN I PULL THE HANDLE TO OPEN THE DOOR (FROM EITHER THE INSIDE OR THE OUTSIDE) THERE IS NO REISITANCE ON THE HANDLE. LIKE THE LATCH IS NOT EVEN ATTACHED. I HAVE TRIED USING THE REMOTE KEY LOCKS, USING THE KEY IN THE DOOR LOCK, AND USING THE BUTTONS INSIDE THE CAR. NOTHING WORKS. I HAVE BEEN LOCK BOTH IN AND OUT OF MY CAR. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE.

THE VEHICLE AHD NOT BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSIS OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT CONFIRMED THE FAILURE WOULD OCCUR INTERMITTENTLY WHENEVER DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 135,000 AND THE APPROXIMATE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 136,000.
POWER STEERING FAILED WHILE DRIVING MY 2005 COBALT. I PULLED OVER ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD,TURNED THE ENGINE OFF. WHEN I TURNED ON THE CAR POWER STEERING WORKED. THE CONTACT STATED SHE HAS CALLED THE DEALERSHIP THREE TIMES TO GET THE RECALL REPAIR PERFORMED AND THEY STILL DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS. THE CONTACT STATED SHE DID NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THE VEHICLE. MY 2005 COBALT HAS PROBLEMS WITH THE DOORS GETTING STUCK SHUT. THEY WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE . I FEEL THAT THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO THE FACT THAT IF I NEED TO GET OUT OF MY CAR IN A HURRY THAT THIS WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. *TR

TL * THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET COBALT. WHILE SITTING IDLE AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, THE POWER STEERING FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. SHE THEN SHUT OFF THE ENGINE AND RESTARTED IT TO FIND THE POWER STEERING HAD RESET ITSELF. SHE ALSO STATED THAT THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR LATCH WAS INOPERABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE SHE WAS AWAITING COMPLETION OF UNKNOWN REPAIRS. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 54,000.
I OWN A 2005 CHEVY COBALT SINCE NEW. CAR HAS 109,000 MILES ON IT AND HAS HAD A FEW PROBLEMS SOME THAT DEALER TOOK CARE OF UNDER WARRANTY. I STARTED NOTICING A CLUNKING NOISE COMING FROM THE PS FRONT OF THE CAR ON 12/09. I FINALLY FOUND OUT THAT THE LOWER CONTROL ARM REAR BUSHING WAS COMPLETELY WORN OUT CAUSING THE CONTROL ARM TO MOVE FORWARD/BACKWARD CAUSING THE NOISE. I REPLACED BOTH PS & DS BUSHINGS WHICH FIXED THE PROBLEM. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE ON A CAR WITH THIS LOW MILES ON IT. I HAVE OWNED CARS WITH WELL OVER 200,000 MILES ON THEM AND NEVER HAD TO REPLACE CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET COBALT. THE CONTACT STATED SHE RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA RECALL CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER AND CONTACTED HER LOCAL DEALER TO SECURE AN APPOINTMENT FOR REPAIRS. THE DEALER ADVISED THE PARTS NEEDED TO MAKE THE REPAIRS WERE NOT YET AVAILABLE. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC ATTEMPTED TO LOCATE THE PARTS NEEDED FOR THE REPAIR ALSO BUT TO NO AVAIL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE CONTACT BELIEVED THE RECALL WAS NOT BEING ADDRESSED WITHIN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. THERE WERE NO FAILURES TO DATE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 123,000.
WE HAVE TAKEN OUR DAUGHTERS COBALT TO THE DEALER 3 TIMES BECAUSE THE POWER STEERING KEEPS GOING OUT. IT IS PLACING OUR DAUGHTER IS SERIOUS DANGER. WE HAVE SPENT CLOSE TO $1000.00 ON THIS ISSUE. IT WENT OUT IN DECEMBER AND WE TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH IT. IT WENT OUT AGAIN TODAY. *TR
MY CAR IS A 2005 COBALT CHEVROLET. TWICE IN 3 MONTHS A HEAR A CHIME AND THE STEERING GOES FROM AUTOMATIC TO MANUAL AND PUTS ME IN HARMS WAY WHILE DRIVING. I HAVE TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND THEN ON AGAIN TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM SCARED ME TODAY WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH ON I95 WHILE RAINING. THE STEERING WENT OUT AND I HAD TO MANUALLY CONTROL MY VEHICLE AND ALMOST CRASHED BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER. I CONTACTED CHEVY CUSTOMER SERVICE THE WEEK BEFORE AND THEY SAID IT IS A PROBLEM AND A RECALL NOTICE WILL BE SENT TO ME SOON. PLEASE HELP BECAUSE I REALLY DON'T WANT TO CRASH AND CHEVY SAID IT MAY BE A WHILE BEFORE I GET MY RECALL NOTICE AND THEY KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. *TR

MY WIFE AND I GOT INTO THE CAR, WE STARTED TO PULL OFF FROM HER PARENT'S HOUSE AND BEFORE WE MADE IT OFF THEIR STREET, THE CAR CHIMED AND "POWER STEERING" WAS DISPLAYED ON THE DASH. THE POWER STEERING IMMEDIATELY BECAME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO MANAGE, AS WE ALMOST GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT ON THE STREET. IT CHIMES AS SOON AS WE START THE CAR AND BEGIN PULLING OUT OF OUR DRIVEWAY, OR PULLING AWAY FROM ANYWHERE WE ARE. IT TAKES MAYBE 5 SECONDS FROM THE TIME WE START THE CAR BEFORE WE HEAR THE CHIME. IT IS IMMEDIATE. WE HAVE RESEARCHED THIS ONLINE AND FOUND THAT GM HAS DONE A RECALL, FINALLY, ON THESE CARS DUE TO THE MALFUNCTION OF THE CHIP FOR THE POWER STEERING. WE ARE CONTACTING OUR LOCAL CHEVY DEALER TODAY TO SEE WHAT STEPS WE NEED TO TAKE NEXT TO FIX THE PROBLEM. WE HAVE ONLY HAD THIS CAR FOR 2 YEARS NOW. *TR
I HAD LEFT MY DRIVEWAY AND STARTED HEADING DOWN THE ROAD WHEN MY POWERSTEERING SHUTDOWN. TURN THE CAR OFF AND START IT AGAIN AND I HAVE POWERSTEERING FOR A SHORT TIME. NOW IT DOES IT AT LEAST ONCE A DAY. WAITING FOR GM TO COME UP WITH A FIX BEFORE I SEE A MECHANIC. HARD TO STEER BUT STILL DRIVABLE. *TR

ADDITIONALLY, THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED AND THE SPEEDOMETER FLUCTUATED AND DISPLAYED INACCURATE READINGS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED; THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED FOR THE MALFUNCTION. THE VIN NUMBER WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
POWER STEERING FAILURE IN MY 2005 CHEVY COBALT. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET COBALT. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS TRAVELING AT A SPEED OF 60 MPH HE NOTICED THAT THE POWER STEERING LIGHT HAD APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD AND AT THE SAME MOMENT THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY BECAME VERY DIFFICULT TO STEER. THE DEALERSHIP WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT NHTSA RECALL 10V073000 WAS NOT OFFICIAL AND NO REPAIRS COULD BE MADE ON HIS VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED AND THE FAILURE HAS OCCURRED ON 6 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS AT 45800 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 47800.
POWER STEERING FAILURE
IN OCTOBER 2008 WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH MY 2005 CHEVY COBALT HAD A POWER STEERING FAILURE WHICH ALMOST CAUSED A COLLISION WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE. MY VEHICLE JUMPED A CURB, LUCKILY NO ONE WAS HURT. THERE WAS ONLY 41 ,223 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. I HAD TO TOW THE VEHICLE TO A GM CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY INFORMED ME THAT I HAD TO PAY $773.81 TO REPLACE THE STEERING COLUMN, BECAUSE IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. ON MARCH 3, 2010 AFTER HAVING ACCUMULATED 62,522 MILES DRIVEN ON MY VEHICLE. I WHILE DRIVING TO THE STORE, STARTED HAVING STEERING PROBLEMS. I CONTACTED GM CHEVROLET BUT WAS TOLD I HAD TO WAIT TO RECEIVE A RECALL LETTER ON MY VEHICLE. I INFORMED GM CHEVROLET OF MY PREVIOUS STEERING PROBLEM IN 2008, BUT WAS OFFERED LITTLE ASSISTANCE. I WAS INFORMED THAT IF I WANTED THE VEHICLE INSPECTED I WOULD HAVE TO PAY A DIAGNOSTIC FEE AND I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR ANY REPAIRS PERFORMED. I WAS MADE TO WAIT A MONTH FOR A RECALL LETTER. IN MY CIRCUMSTANCES I THINK REQUIRING ME TO PAY FOR A DIAGNOSTIC AND REPAIR ON A VEHICLE WHICH HAS A RECALL IS UNFAIR, CONSIDERING I HAD A PREVIOUS PROBLEM STEERING IN 2008, BEFORE A RECALL WAS ISSUED. I RECEIVED THE RECALL LETTER YESTERDAY, AND HAD THE VEHICLE REPAIRED TODAY, BUT I COULDN'T DRIVE THE VEHICLE FOR THE LAST MONTH, BECAUSE OF THE STEERING PROBLEM. NOW THEY ARE STATING THAT THEY WILL NOT REIMBURSE ME FOR THE ORIGINAL REPAIR THAT WAS DONE ON 10/30/2008, EVEN THOUGH ANOTHER GM DEALERSHIP INFORMED ME THAT IT WAS THE SAME PROBLEM, ALTHOUGH IN 2008 THEY REPLACED THE WHOLE STEERING COLUMNS WHICH WAS THE NORM, BUT NOW THE ARE CORRECTING THE STEERING PROBLEMS BY REPLACING THE ELECTRIC STEERING MOTOR. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 CHEVY COBALT, ON MARCH 1, 2010, Y CAR'S MESSAGE CENTER "DINGED" AND THE MESSAGE "POWER STEERING " WAS BEING DISPLAYED. THE TACHOMETER, AND SPEEDOMETER BOTH STARTED JUMPING UP AND DOWN, THAT SEEMED TO STOP AFTER A COUPLE OF SECONDS, MY STEERING SEEMED A LITTLE STIFFER BUT NOTHING REALLY NOTICEABLE, A FEW MINUTES LATER, PULLING UP TO A STOP LIGHT IT STARTED JERKING LIKE SOMEONE WAS SHIFTING GEARS HARD IN A STANDARD, OR LIKE THE CLUTCH WAS POPPING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING, POWER STEERING FAILED. AS A RESULT, THE STEERING BECAME HARD TO MANEUVER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A REPAIR SHOP OR DEALER FOR INSPECTION OR REPAIR. I WAS REALLY UPSET WITH THE DEALERSHIP AND WITH CHEVROLET BECAUSE I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED THAT IT WAS A PROBLEM. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THIS INVESTIGATED FURTHER. I FEEL THAT THIS IS UNFAIR TO CONSUMERS FOR DEALERSHIPS TO CHARGE US FOR ISSUES THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR. IN ADDITION, THE GEAR SHIFT MECHANISM IS ALSO FAULTY.
