TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET COBALT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE TRAVELING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND TO DECELERATION ATTEMPTS AND THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO THE PRECEDING VEHICLE. UPON IMPACT, THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE DRIVER WAS THROWN FORWARD AND HIT THEIR FACE ON THE DASHBOARD AND SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE FACE AND BACK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
ISSUE #1: DECEMBER 3, 2013 MY DAUGHTER PARKED HER CAR UPON ARRIVING FOR WORK AT THE UPPER DECK SPORTS BAR & GRILL. SHE OPENED HER CAR DOOR AND AS SHE BRUSHED HER HAND ACROSS THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE HAD HER HAND SLICED OPEN BY A SHARP EDGE OF THE CHROME. SEE PHOTO: SHE WAS DRIVEN TO THE HOSPITAL BY A FELLOW EMPLOYEE. THE WOUND WAS SO DEEP SHE REQUIRED BOTH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STITCHES TO CLOSE IT PROPERLY. DUE TO THE SEVERITY AND LOCATION OF THE WOUND AND HER JOB REQUIREMENTS AS A BARTENDER, SHE WAS NOT ALLOWED TO RETURN TO WORK FOR A WEEK. 7 MONTHS HAVE PASSED AND WE ARE STILL WAITING PAYMENT FROM THE INSURANCE COMPANY TO PAY MEDICAL BILLS NEARLY $3000 AS WELL AS MISSED WAGES. ISSUE #2 ? THE CAR MY DAUGHTER DRIVES IS A 2006 CHEVY COBALT, ONE OF THE CARS INVOLVED IN THE MAJOR RECALL WHERE 15 PEOPLE HAVE BEEN KILLED WHEN THE CAR SHUTS OFF WHILE BEING DRIVEN. SHE HAS HAD ONE INCIDENT OF THIS HAPPENING ALREADY. FORTUNATELY IT HAPPENED ON A SIDE STREET WHERE SHE COULD DRIFT OFF TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD AND NOT ON 95 WHERE SHE DRIVES TO AND FROM WORK. SHE HAS RECEIVED LETTERS REGARDING THE RECALL BUT IS CONSTANTLY BEING TOLD THEY ( MIAMI LAKES CHEVROLET AUTO MALL) DON'T HAVE THE PART NECESSARY TO MAKE THE REPAIR. THE LAST TIME, THEY MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR HER TO COME IN AND WHEN SHE GOT THERE WAS TOLD THEY MADE A MISTAKE AND DIDN'T HAVE THE PART. THEY PERFORMED A "SAFETY CHECK" ON HER VEHICLE AND TOLD HER THAT EVERYTHING LOOKED OK AND IT WAS SAFE TO DRIVE UNTIL THEY GOT THE PART. TO THIS DATE, THEY STILL CLAIM TO NOT HAVE THE PART. *TR
I HAVE READ ON MULTIPLE FORUMS ONE BEING, HTTP://WWW.CARPROBLEMZOO.COM/CHEVROLET/COBALT/AIR-BAG-LIGHT-ON-PROBLEMS.PHP ASIDE FROM JUST ONE WEBSITE BEING EVIDENT OF REPORTS FOR MY REQUEST I TO HAVE FOUND THAT MY VEHICLE'S AIR BAG LIGHT TURNS ON WHEN THERE IS NO ONE IN THE SEAT (PASSENGER) AS WELL AS TURNS OFF WHEN THERE ARE PERSON'S IN THE SEAT. NOT ONLY THAT, BUT AT RANDOM TIMES ON THE MAIN CONSOLE WHILE DRIVING, IT WILL SAY "SERVICE AIR BAG" WHILE ALSO ILLUMINATING THE RED AIR BAG DISPLAY ON THE DRIVER'S HUD (ASSUMING THAT IS FOR THE DRIVER'S AIR BAG) PLEASE PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS. PREFERABLY THE PASSENGER SIDE, IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE THE AIR BAG ON AT ALL TIMES OR TO ALLOW THE DRIVER/PASSENGER TO TURN IT ON OR OFF. I HAVE CALLED SEVERAL MECHANICS AT CHEVY DEALERSHIPS WHO ALL SAY THEY CAN'T JUST TURN IT ON AND TO SERVICE IT THEY WOULD ONLY MAKE THE SEAT SENSOR MORE SENSITIVE, I DON'T BELIEVE THAT WILL SOLVE THIS ISSUE. AS FAR AS I KNOW THE AIR BAG WON'T DEPLOY WHEN THE "SERVICE AIR BAG" SHOWS UP. *TR
I WAS DRIVING THE CAR AT ABOUT 32 MPH WHEN THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN. I TRAVELED ACROSS FOUR LANES HITTING THE CURB HEAD ON THEN HITTING A CONCRETE FLOWER BED( APPROXIMATE HIT 12-14 INCHES), TRAVELING OVER THIS AGAIN HITTING A CURB IN A PARKING LOT AND THEN THE CAR CAME TO A REST. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND THE CAR WAS NOT RUNNING. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THE CAR HAS STOPPED RUNNING LIKE THIS. WHEN I FIRST PURCHASED IT IN FEBRUARY 0F 2006 WITHIN THE FIRST WEEK THE IGNITION WOULD NOT TURN OVER REQUIRING A TRIP TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE IGNITION HAS BEEN REPLACED AT LEAST 5 TIMES. ABOUT THREE MONTHS INTO OWING IT I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE ENGINE WAS TRYING TO RESTART IT SELF. IT THEN STOPPED AND I ENDED UP IN A DITCH. AGAIN THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. FINALLY, IN 2012 A SCHOOL BUS BACKED INTO THE FRONT OF THE CAR WITH IT RUNNING AND THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE IGNITON WAS REPLACED ON 6/04/2014 UNDER THE MANDATORY RECALL. WITHIN 3 DAYS THE IGNITION ONCE AGAIN WOULD NOT TURN ON AND THEN WHEN IT DID THE ENGINE DRAGGED AS IF THE BATTERY WAS BAD. THE BATTERY IS ONE YEAR OLD. I HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM NON-STOP SINCE THE REPLACEMENT PART. I CALLED GRAFF CHEVROLET IN MT. PLEASANT AND I GOT THE STANDARD RESPONSE, "WE CAN"T DUPLICATE IT". WHEN I INSISTED THE CAR NEEDED TO BE LOOKED AT I WAS TOLD, WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE AND WE CAN NO LONGER SERVICE YOUR CAR". I'VE CALLED OTHER DEALERSHIPS ONLY TO BE TOLD THE CAR NEEDS TO GO BACK TO WHERE THE RECALL PART WAS REPLACED. *TR
BAD SMELL OF FUEL, COULD BE ATTRIBUTED TO KNOWN ISSUE WITH FUEL PUMP PLASTIC HOUSING WITH MAKE AND MODEL OF MY CAR. SAFETY RECALL HAS BEEN LEFT OUT OF VIRGINIA FOR THIS ISSUE. SEEMS TO BE A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY ISSUE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVY COBALT. THE CONTACT BECAME INVOLVED IN A CRASH IN WHICH THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE DETAILS OF THE CRASH WERE LIMITED HOWEVER, THE CONTACT WAS TRAVELING 20 MPH WHEN THE CRASH OCCURRED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED OF THE INCIDENT. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE BRAKES MALFUNCTIONED. ADDITIONALLY, THE IGNITION SWITCH FAILED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
AFTER TWO HUB FAILURES, STABILIZER LINK FAILURES, IGNITION COIL FAILURE, REAR DEFROSTER FAILURE, POWER LOCKS FAILURE, AND NOW THE STEERING RACK IS MAKING A GRINDING NOISE AND CAUSING PREMATURE WEAR TO THE FRONT RIGHT TIRE. I BELIEVE THERE IS A TSB ON THE STEERING RACK. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL I WON'T EVER BY A GM AGAIN. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET COBALT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE KEY FAILED TO TURN WHILE IN THE IGNITION. THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THERE WAS A RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 14V171000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) BUT THE PART WAS UNAVAILABLE TO PERFORM THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000.
I HAVE WRITTEN AT LEAST 1-2 LETTERS TO GMC, SPOKE W/REPS FOR HOURS FOR YEARS, REACHED OUT TO SM, & ATTEMPTED TO HANDLE THE ISSUE MYSELF, & I AM DISGUSTED & FURIOUS AT THE WAY GMC HAS BRUSHED OFF LOYAL, PAYING CONSUMERS W/NO REGARD. MY VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED BRAND NEW OFF OF THE LOT & I LOVED IT. AFTER HAVING MANDATORY RECALL WORK DONE IN 2010, THE VEHICLE WAS NEVER THE SAME. MY PASSENGERS WERE OFTEN TIMES FRIGHTENED BY THE UNFAMILIAR HANDLING OF A 2006: IT JERKED, BUCKED, CUT OFF, & OFTEN TIMES WOULD NOT CUT BACK ON. ONCE, WHEN DRIVING A FRIEND THAT SERVES IN THE MILITARY, I WENT TO MAKE A LEFT TURN & THE CAR CUT OUT OF THE TURN & TURNED OFF. IF TRAFFIC WOULD HAVE BEEN COMING, WE BOTH WOULD HAVE DIED THAT DAY. I CRIED & BEGGED GMC FOR YEARS THAT I FEARED FOR MY LIFE & SOMETHING WAS VERY WRONG W/THE CAR. THEY DENIED ANY KNOWING OF MY ISSUE & MADE ME PAY HUNDREDS AFTER HUNDREDS IN DIAGNOSTIC FEES THAT WERE FRUITLESS LABOR. DEALERS & REPS MADE IT SEEM AS IF I WERE CRAZY & JUST TRYING TO BE PROBLEMATIC INSTEAD OF HONESTLY ADDRESSING MY ISSUE & TAKING ME SERIOUS. ONCE I FINALLY RECEIVED RECALL PAPERS, MY CAR CEASED TO TAKE ANY MORE ABUSE. THE ENGINE HAS BEEN YANKED & KNOCKED TO THE POINT OF EXHAUSTION & WHAT WAS ONCE MY MOST PRIZED POSSESSION IS NOW A NON-MOVING MASS SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY. I HAVE ACCRUED A NUMBER OF SPEEDING TICKETS DUE TO THE SPASTIC SPEEDOMETER MOVING OUT OF CONTROL (WHICH I TOOK VIDEOS OF & SENT TO GMC), SCRUNCHED THE FRONT OF MY HOOD DUE TO THE CAR LOCKING UP, & OVERALL RUINED MY LIFE AS MY 1ST BIG INVESTMENT IN A GENUINE PRODUCT OF LIVING LEFT ME STRANDED, LITERALLY. I HAVE A COPY OF AT LEAST 1 OF THE LETTERS THAT I SENT IN, THE VIDEO FOOTAGES, THE LINKS TO THE SM I ADDRESSED CHEVY, PICTURES, WITNESSES, & DOCUMENTATION OF INVOICES ON FILE AT DEALERSHIPS. WHEN I ASKED BLACK CHEVY IN GREENSBORO FOR MY INFO, THEY SAID IT SHOULD BE LINKED TO VIN.PLEASE *TR
THE DRIVER DOOR IS JAMMED, IT WILL NOT OPEN FROM INSIDE OR OUT. HAPPENED BEFORE AND THEN OPENED AFTER AWHILE AND THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN. I'VE HAD THE DOOR FIXED AND IT WORKED FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS AND IS NOW JAMMED AGAIN. IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD, I HAVE TO GO INTO THE CAR THROUGH THE PASSENGER SIDE. MY SPEAKERS IN ALL DOORS WILL NOT WORK ALONG WITH THE RADIO SCREEN WILL FLICKER ON AND OFF. THE AUTOMATIC LOCKS WORKED ON A FEW DOORS BUT WILL NOT WORK ON ANY NOW. I'VE SEEN AND HEARD MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEMS I'M HAVING THAT OTHER COBALT OWNERS HAVE/HAD. *TR
MY CAR HAS BEEN MILDLY HAVING PROBLEMS WHEN YOU WOULD STOP AT A LIGHT OR PULL INTO A PARKING SPOT IT ACTS LIKE IT WANTS TO CUTOFF. I GOT THE LETTER ON THE RECALL AND IT DEFINITELY GAVE ME ANXIETY DRIVING THE CAR ESPECIALLY SINCE I HAVE TO TRAVEL 180 MILES QUITE OFTEN FOR MY KIDS. I HAD THE RECALL FIXED AND YET STILL HAD THE MINOR PROBLEM. I SAY MINOR ONLY BECAUSE IT DID NOT CAUSE ANYTHING BAD TO HAPPEN AT THAT TIME. ALSO NOTICED THAT MY CAR WAS NOT ACTING RIGHT WITH THE TWO KEYS THEY GAVE ME SOMETIMES IT WOULD START AND SOMETIMES IT LOCKED UP. BUT NOT EVERY TIME. ABOUT TWO MONTHS AFTER THAT I WENT TO LUNCH AND MY KEY GOT LOCKED IN THE IGNITION AND THE CAR WOULD NOT START. FIGURING I TRUST BE THE BATTERY I WENT BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY BUT THE CAR STILL WOULDN'T START. I HAD IT TOWED TO GM DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME IT CODED FOR THE IGNITION SWITCH AND THE FUSE BOX. BUT THEN CALLED ME BACK AND SAID IT WAS THE FUSE BOX AND THE BODY CONTROL MODULE AND THE FUEL PRESSURE CENSOR. I TRIED TO TRADE IT IN AND THE VALUE OF A CAR I BOUGHT JUST A YEAR AND A HALF AGO FOR 11,999 IS NOW ONLY WORTH 3000.00 EVEN TO THE MAKER OF THE CAR I WOULD BE STUCK PAYING ON A CAR THAT IS UNSAFE STILL AND MAKES IT TO WHERE I CANNOT GET A NEW CAR BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT I STILL OWE ON THE VEHICLE. *TR
DOOR HANDLE WON'T OPEN FROM THE INSIDE OF DRIVER SIDE. I HAVE TO ROLL DOWN MY WINDOW TO OPEN IT. THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE INSIDE AND OUT WHEN I WAS UNDER WARRANTY. AS WELL AS A WHISTLING NOISE FROM MY PASSENGER VENT AND RATTLING WINDOWS. SUPPOSEDLY THIS WAS ALL FIXED. EXCEPT THE PART FOR MY AIR VENT. NOW I CAN'T EVEN OPEN MY MANUAL DOOR. I HAVE READ THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH MY MODEL OF CAR. I FEEL EVERYTHING IS POORLY BUILT. DOOR IS RUSTING OUT ON DRIVERS SIDE. YET, I HAVE TAKE GREAT CARE MAKING SURE IT STAYS CLEAN. BUT THE FACT THAT I CAN'T GET OUT OF MY DOOR. AND IT'S WINTER TIME. IS SCARY. I DID NOT GO WITH ELECTRIC DUE TO THAT FACT OF GETTING SOMETHING EXPENSIVE FIXED. IN THE PAST. IT WAS TEMPORARY. BUT NOW IT WON'T WORK AT ALL. AGAIN. BEFORE IT WOULD HAPPEN AT TIMES. ON EITHER DOOR. GETTING IN OR OUT. BUT NOW THE DRIVER SIDE WON'T OPEN FROM THE INSIDE AT ALL. AND WHAT IF THE WINDOW IS FROZEN AND THE PASSAGES SIDE WON'T OPEN EITHER. WORRIED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET COBALT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED CAUSING THE CONTACT TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT DID NOT TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER OR CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,281. UPDATED 1/4/13*CN
I JUST RECENTLY PURCHASED A COBALT 2006 BUT AFTER 3WEEKS MY STEERING DID NOT RESPOND THE WAY I WAS CONTROLLING IT DID NOT ALLOW ME TO MAKE A PERFECT TURN MADE ME DO A SHARP TURN SINCE I FELT THE ADJUSTMENTS GET HARD BUT THEN IT LOOSENED UP ALLOWED ME TO TAKE CONTROL HOW A DRIVER IS SUPPOSE TO CONTROL HIS OWN CAR NOT LETTING YOUR CAR TAKE CONTROL OF ME THE DRIVER. CURRENTLY IT GOT REPOSSESED JUST BECAUSE I LOST MY JOB BUT NOW THAT I FOUND OUT ITS DANGEROUS ON THE ROAD. THINKING THAT DAY I LOST CONTROL FOR ABOUT 10 SEC. WHAT ABOUT IF IT COULD BE MORE DANGEROUS NEXT TIME AND MY NEPHEWS, MY FAMILY CAN GET HURT NOT JUST ME THIS TIME IN THE CAR WITH ME AND ONE OF MY FAMILY OR ME CAN LOOSE A LIFE BUT THE DEALER DID NOT NOTIFY ME ON THIS SAFETY RECALL WHEN SIGNED BUT NOW THEY DON'T WANT TO TRANSFER CARS EVEN THOUGH I CAN PAY MONTHLY. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET COBALT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THERE A SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER STEERING ASSIST WITH THE ILLUMINATION OF THE WARNING INDICATOR. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WITH FORCE BEING APPLIED TO THE STEERING WHEEL. THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF AND UPON RESTARTING, THE VEHICLE RESUMED NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED UNDER A RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 10V073000 (STEERING). THE REMEDY FAILED TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM AND THE FAILURE RECURRED THREE TIMES WITHIN A PERIOD OF SIX WEEKS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. I WAS TRAVELING ON A 2 LANE ROAD THAT I TRAVEL MOST EVERY DAY, THE ROAD IS NOT BUSY MOST TIMES.AS I WAS ENTERING A SHARP CURVE SUDDENLY THE CAR ENGINE QUIT AND NEXT THING I KNEW I WAS RAKING THE GUARDRAIL ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD,.DAMAGED THE CAR MORE THAN IT WAS WORTH,THIS WAS ONLY THE 2ND TIME THE CAR HAD DONE THIS BUT I HAD ONLY OWNED IT ABOUT 11/2 YRS.THE GUARDRAIL SAVED US FROM GOING OVER A 300 FT.MOUNTAIN INTO THE RIVER.THANKFUL FOR THAT GUARDRAIL, BUT LEFT WITHOUT ANYTHING TO DRIVE. *TR
FIRST GOT A VERY SMALL CRACK IN WINDSHIELD AND NEXT DAY SPLINTERED ALL WAY ACROSS, STILL HAVE NOT REPLACED FIRST CHEVY I'VE OWNED THAT WINDOWS ARE CRAP. SPEAKERS HAVE NOT WORKED IN FRONT EVER AND ONLY COME ON AND WORK RANDOMLY NOW AND THAN. NOW BRAKE FLUID LIGHT CONSTANTLY COMING ON EVEN AFTER A DAY I PUT FLUID IN. THIS IS OFFICIALLY WORST CAR I'VE OWNED OUT OF ALL CHEVROLETS HAD!!!! BASICALLY ALL SERVICE TO IT COSTS AS MUCH AS CAR! *TR
I PURCHASED A 2006 COBALT FROM A PRIVATE OWNER THIS WEEK. I TEST DROVE IT 3 TIMES WITH NO PROBLEMS. AFTER BRINGING IT HOME, I ATTEMPTED TO TURN OFF THE CAR AND REMOVE THE KEY. IT WOULD NOT TURN OFF ALL THE WAY AND THE KEY WOULD NOT COME OUT. I WAS VERY UPSET AND SCARED. THE CAR WOULD RESTART SO I WAS ABLE TO PUT IT IN THE DRIVEWAY AND PARK IT NEXT TO THE GARAGE. SINCE I COULD NOT REMOVE THE KEY I PUT A CAR CLUB ON IT AND LOCKED THE DOOR. THEN I PARKED ANOTHER CAR BEHIND IT. I DID NOT THINK ABOUT IT BUT SINCE THE KEY WAS IN THE ACCESSORY POSITION THE BATTERY WENT DEAD. THE NEXT DAY I WAS NOT ABLE TO REMOVE THE KEY AND I WAS NOT ABLE TO START IT. I CALLED A LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALER. HE CHECKED THE VIN FOR RECALLS AND SAID THERE WAS NOT ONE ON THE 2006 COBALT RELATED TO THE STARTING SOLENOID BINDING UP. HE DID TELL ME IT IS COMMON AND MOST CARS THAT HAVE THE PROBLEM HAVE A RECALL ISSUED. THIS PROBLEM HAS CAUSED ME MAJOR DISTRESS AND COULD BE VERY UNSAFE IF THE CAR HAD EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM SOMEWHERE AWAY FROM HOME. I FOUND OUT HOW TO FIX IT BY READING ARTICLES ON THE INTERNET. MANY PEOPLE HAVE REPORTED THIS PROBLEM AND CHEVROLET HAS NOT LISTENED TO THE CONSUMERS BY ISSUING A RECALL AND REPAIRING THE PROBLEM. I STRUGGLED TO GET MY CAR OFF THE ROAD ONTO AN EXIT RAMP WHERE I SHUT MY CAR OFF. I TURNED MY CAR OFF, THEN I TURNED IT BACK ON. THE ALERT GAUGE RANG THREE TIMES AND SAID POWER STEERING ON THE DASH BOARD, I PUT MY CAR IN DRIVE IN HOPES TO MAKE IT HOME WHICH WAS NOT FAR...WHEN I TOOK OFF MY CAR SHOOK AND JUMPED WHILE GOING ALL THE WAY ACROSS A BRIDGE. I PULLED OVER YET AGAIN SHUT MY CAR OFF AND RESTARTED IT WHEN I TOOK OFF THE SECOND TIME AND DROVE HOME I DIDN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS. I LEFT MY CAR SIT FOR SEVERAL DAYS THE PROBLEM CONTINUES. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER A RECALL RELATED TO THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 10V073000 (10V073000). AFTER THE REMEDY REPAIR WAS PERFORMED THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER INFORMED THAT THE SECOND REPAIR WOULD BE AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 116,368.
HIT A POT HOLE, NOT A VERY BIG ONE GOING LESS THAN THE SPEED LIMIT AND THE RIM BENT. LATER, SINCE I COULD NOT AFFORD TO REPLACE THE RIM, THE TIRE EXPLODED AND I WAS STRANDED 3 HOURS FROM HOME. SINCE THEN 2 MORE WHEELS HAVE BENT AND CANNOT BE FIXED ONLY REPLACED WITH MORE CRAPPY RIMS. *TR
