None of the air bags deploy. The driver died at the scene due to a heart attack per an autopsy. The vehicle was towed to an independent lot. There was no reported fire. A police report was filed. The vehicle was totaled. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact was concerned that the air bags did not deploy after the vehicle experienced extensive damage due to the crash. The failure mileage was unknown. The VIN was not available.

NONE OF THE WARNING CHIMES WORK - SEAT BELT NOT ON- LIGHTS LEFT ON -KEY IN IGNITION- LOW ON FUEL-ALSO THE CLICKING SOUND MADE BY THE TURN SIGNALS. ALL OF THESE SOUNDS ARE ROUTED THRU THE RADIO DOOR SPEAKERS , MANY OF THESE SPEAKERS DON'T WORK , THE AUTO BLOGS ARE FULL OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THESE SPEAKERS GM KNOWS IT BUT WON'T REPLACE THE SPEAKERS.
TAKATA RECALL MY PASSENGER AIR BAG QUIT WORKING AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT KEEPS SHOWING. *AS
WE HAD OUR BATTERY REPLACED IN OUR VEHICLE NOVEMBER 15, 2016. SINCE THAT TIME OUR "SERVICE PASSENGER AIRBAG" LIGHT HAS COME ONE. WE TOOK IT TO OUR MECHANIC ON 3/3/2017 AND HE REPORTED THAT WE NEEDED A NEW MODULE THAT WOULD CORRECT THE SERVICE PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT. WE DROVE OUR CAR HOME AND BEFORE WE EVEN GOT HOME THE SERVICE LIGHT HAD RETURNED. WE TOOK IT BACK THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY AND THEY CHECKED IT AGAIN AND SAID WE NEEDED A NEW SENSOR FOR THE PASSENGER SEAT. SINCE THAT TIME WE HAVE NOT TAKEN IT BACK AS WE ARE WONDERING IF THAT WILL JUST REQUIRE ANOTHER ELECTRONIC FIX. DOES THIS EFFECT THE SEAT BELT WORKING CORRECTLY? IF SO, I THINK THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

MY CAR HAS APPROXIMATELY 3000 MILES ON IT. IT IS ALWAY GARAGE (ENCLOSED). DURING ITS 3000 MILES, IT HAS ONLY HAD ONE PASSENGER FOR ABOUT A 100 MILE TRIP. NO ONE HAS RIDEN IN THE BACKSEAT NOR HAS THE REAR SEAT BEEN USED FOR TRANSPORTING ITEMS. THE INTERIOR HAS NOT BEEN CLEANED (NOT NEEDED). IT IS A COLLECTOR CAR AND USED AS SUCH FOR OCCASIONAL TRIPS. LAST WEEK, THE SIR INSTRUMENT LIGHT SUDDENLY ILLUMINATED (SERVICE AIRBAG) WHILE ON A TRIP TO EXERCISE THE CAR (CAR WAS STATIONARY AND THE SIR ILLUMINATED WHEN THE AUTOMOBILE WAS STARTED). SEE GM SERVICE BULLETIN 09-09-40-003A ISSUED AUGUST 2010. WHEN SIR IS ILLUMINATED, THE AIRBAGS ARE NON-FUNCTIONAL, BUT THE CAR IS DRIVEABLE. SEEMS GM HAS A LATENT DEFECT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT BELT RETRACTOR AND ITS WIRING BUNDLE. GM DEALER CHARGE ~$500 TO REPLACE THE SEAT BELT RETRACTOR AND ITS DEFECTIVE WIRING BUNDLE. THEY ALSO LOOSEN THE WIRE BUNDLE LEADING TO THE RETRACTOR TO GIVE IT MORE PLAY AND ALTER THE SEAT BELT SLEEVE TO ALLEVIATE BINDING OF THE WIRING BUNDLE. THIS PROBLEM IS GENERIC TO THE WHOLE COBALT LINE AND ITS PONTIAC COUSIN THE G%. SINCE THE FIX IS COSTLY, MOST FOLKS CONTINUE TO DRIVE THE AUTOMOBILE AND DON'T REALIZE THE AIRBAGS ARE NONFUNCTIONAL. THIS PRESENTS A REAL SAFETY HAZARD TO THE OWNERS AND PASSENGERS OF COBALT AUTOMOBILES. THIS SHOULD BE AN IMMEDIATE MANDATORY RECALL FOR GM!!!

I WAS IN ACCIDENT ON 9/7/2015 AND A. TRUCK RAN THE STOP SIGN AND THE FRONT OF MY CAR SLAMMED INTO THE SIDE OF THEIR TRUCK. MY AIRBAGS DID NOT GO OFF. WE COULD NOT FIND OUT WHY. I GOOGLED MY CAR AND SEEN THEY JUST ISSUED A RECALL ON MY AIRBAGS BEING FAULTY AND NOT DEPLOYING. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE.
