Tire size 245/45R20 I purchased a set a 4 Cooper Discoverer H/T Plus tires for my truck in 2022. I haven't driven a lot of miles on them due to the fact that I live on the Island of Oahu, in Honolulu, Hawaii and have a lot of thread life left. I noticed that the sidewalls on 2 of 4 tires are cracking and separating. I removed them from the vehicle due to the risk of tire blowout and injury in the event of an accident. I've emailed Cooper tires for information and warranty resolution and have yet had a reply.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET COLORADO EQUIPPED WITH TBC TIRES, TIRE LINE: SIGMA SHADOW, AND TIRE SIZE: P225/75R15. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE. THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE TREAD SEPARATED FROM THE SIDE WALL OF THE TIRE. THE TIRE WAS NOT REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE TIRE AND VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 79,166.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET COLORADO EQUIPPED WITH COOPER COBRA G/T RADIAL TIRES, TIRE SIZE P255/70/15. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO VIBRATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A TIRE CENTER WHERE THEY INFORMED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE TIRE TREAD BELT EXHIBITED BUBBLING. THE TIRE WAS REPLACED. THERE WAS A RECALL UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 06T016000 (TIRES:TREAD/BELT). THE DOT NUMBER WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. RECENTLY, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE TREAD EXHIBITED A SIMILAR DEFECT. THE CONTACT WAS IN THE PROCESS OF REPLACING THE TIRE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,000.

I HAVE A 2004 CHEVY COLORADO WITH THE SPORT PACKAGE / LOW PROFILE TIRES. I HAVE HAD ONE BLOW-OUT ALREADY AND NOW HAVE A FRONT TIRE THAT HAS AN APPROX. 12" BUBBLE IN IT THAT OCCURED WHEN DRIVING ON A 80* DAY AT 70MPH. THE BUBBLE IS APPROX. 3" IN HEIGHT. THE TRUCK HAS ONLY 28,000 MILES AND HAS NOW GONE THRU TWO TIRES.

I HAVE CHEVROLET COLORADO, 2004 STANDARD CAB. THE LEFT REAT TIRE BLEW AND I MEAN BLEW WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY. I DON'T THINK I HIT A THING, BUT THE TIRE LITERALLY POPPED. IT TOOK THE DEALER OVER 2 WEEKS TO GET A TIRE IN BECAUSE THEY WERE OUT. IF THEY ARE GOING THROUGH THIS MANY TIRES THERE HAS TO BE A PROBLEM. *AK
DT: THE TIRES WOBBLE ON THE VEHICLE AND MAKE THE VEHICLE VIBRATE. THERE HAVE BEEN 13 TIRES PUT ON THIS TRUCK SINCE 9-27-04. THE TRUCK ALSO FISHTAILS ON THESE TIRES WHEN THE SPEED IS 50 AND OVER. GM HAS BEEN CONTACTED AND ALL THEY WANT TO DO IS EXTEND THE WARRANTY AND KEEP REPLACING THE TIRES. GM HAS INFORMED THE OWNER THAT THESE GENERAL TIRES, GENERAL AMERITRAC TR ARE THE ONLY TIRES THAT ARE SHOWING WEAR ON THE INSIDE. ALL FOUR TIRES ON ALL FOUR LOCATIONS HAVE BEEN REPLACED. THE REAR PASSENGER TIRE HAS BEEN REPLACED ONE EXTRA TIME FOR A FACTORY DEFECT. THIS IS A Z-71 SUSPENSION. THE CORRECTION: THE DEALERSHIP KEEPS CHANGING OUT THE TIRES AND GM HAS SUPPLIED A RENTAL VEHICLE WHILE THIS HAS BEEN AN ON GOING ISSUE. THE TIRE ARE GENERAL AMERITRAC TR. TIRE SIZE 265/75R15.
I OWN A 2004 CHEVROLET COLORADO AND I AM EXPERIENCING A SHAKE DUE TO THE TIRES HEATING UP/COOLING OFF, AND GETTING FLAT SPOTS FROM THAT.*AK
I WAS DRIVING MY 2004 CHEVROLET COLORADO Z71 4X4 IN THE PASSING LANE ON RT. 460, WHEN THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE TIRE ( GENERAL AMERITEC TR P265/75-150) BLEW OUT, THE WHOLE SIDE BLEW OUT. I WAS BARELY ABLE TO KEEP THE VEHICLE UNDER CONTROL. THE TIRE WRAPPED ITSELF AROUND THE HUB AND I INJURED MY BACK TRYING TO GET IT OFF . THIS TIRE SEEMS TOO LIGHT DUTY FOR A PICK-UP, THE SIDE WALLS ARE VERY, VERY THIN. ANYWAY, THIS TIRE ONLY HAD 7400 MILES ON IT WHEN IT BLEW OUT AND NEITHER THE MANUFACTURE, NOR THE DEALER WOULD REPLACE IT. I ENDED UP PAYING FOR A NEW ONE MYSELF. BUT, LIKE I SAID, I DON'T THINK THIS IS A SUITABLE TIRE FOR THIS VEHICLE.*AK
