I HAVE ATF LEAKING FROM THE CRIMPED END OF A RUBBER LINE GOING TO THE METAL LINE FOR THE TRANSMISSION.
WHILE DRIVING TO WORK I RECEIVED THE TURN OFF AC ENGINE TO HOT WARNING.THE TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE WAS IN THE 50'S. PULLED OVER AND SAW THE COOLANT WAS LOW,ADDED COOLANT BUT IT WOULDN'T STAY IN THE TANK. TOOK THE CAR TO ARROWHEAD CHEVROLET IN PEORIA,AZ AND WAS TOLD IT WAS THE WATER OUTLET HOUSING LEAKING AND COST TO REPLACE WAS $490.00, THE CAR HAS 69,000 AND SHOULDN'T BE HAVING THIS ISSUE,THE DEALERSHIP COULD CARE LESS,CALLED GM WARRANTY AND WAS TOLD BASICALLY TOO BAD AND WE ARE SORRY BUT IT'S NOT UNDER WARRANTY AND WE WILL NOT PROVIDE COST ASSISTANCE FOR THE REPAIR. CURRENTLY THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE COOLANT LEAKING AT THE WATER PUMP,BUT GM FEELS IT SHOULDN'T COVER THE WATER OUTLET HOUSING. I'M SURE IT'S LEAKING FROM THE WATER PUMP BUT THE SERVICE MANAGER JUST WANTED TO MAKE A DOLLAR OFF A POOR SINGLE MOM. SHAME ON GM FOR KNOWING THE ISSUE WITH THE COOLANT LEAKING ISN'T JUST RELATED TO THE WATER PUMP BUT THE WHOLE COOLING SYSTEM!! *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE AIR CONDITIONER INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE DISPLAYED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS HOT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE COOLING OUTLET PIPE WAS LEAKING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE WAS NOT REMEDIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000.
THE CAR HAS A BURNING ELECTRICAL SMELL. SOMETIMES WE CAN SMELL THE ODOR IN THE CABIN, BUT MOSTLY COMING FROM THE ENGINE AFTER WE HAVE FINISHED DRIVING THE CAR AND WALK AROUND THE FRONT OF THE CAR. THE ODOR HAS BEEN PRESENT SINCE WE PURCHASED THE CAR IN NOVEMBER 2016.
I WAS DRIVING ON LOCAL HIGHWAY. STOPPED AT LIGHT. WHEN I STARTED TO MOVE FORWARD AGAIN THE TRANSMISSION WOULDN'T SHIFT PAST 2ND GEAR. THE VEHICLE WOULDN'T ACCELLERATE OVER 30 MPH. PULLED OVER TO THE NEAREST PLACE. TURNED OFF THE CAR AND TURNED IT BACK ON. TRIED TO BACK UP, BUT REVERSE WOULD NOT WORK. PUSHED IT OUT OF THE PARKING SPOT CAR WOULD ONLY MOVE FORWARD UP TO 30 MPH. NOTHING PAST 2ND GEAR AND STILL NO REVERSE. MANUAL ASPECT OF CAR WAS SAYING COULD NOT SHIFT. SERVICE ENGINE LIGHTS CAME ON. CODE READ TRANMISSION MODULE. PER TECH, WAVE PLATE CAME APART AND CONTAMINATED THE WHOLE TRANSMISSION, SOLINOIDS AND CONTROL BOARD RESULTING IN NEED FOR COMPLETE TRANS OVERHAUL, SOLINOIDS AND CONTROL BOARD REPLACEMENT AND REPROGRAMMING - $3400! GM WOULD NOT HELP, EVEN THOUGH KNOWN ISSUE.
TRANSMISSION IS KICKING WHILE DRIVING, ESPECIALLY WHEN IN REVERSE BUT ALSO WHILE FORWARD. ALSO WHILE IN REVERSE THE CAR WILL GO FORWARD INSTEAD. DOES THIS EVERY TIME IT IS DRIVEN, EVEN WHILE TURNING. MECHANIC SAID IT IS THE ACTUAL TRANSMISSION CAUSING THE PROBLEM.
AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, IT WAS RAINING VERY HARD AND I HAD MY WIPERS ON THE HIGHEST SPEED. SUDDENLY THE DRIVER SIDE WIPER STAYED IN THE VERTICAL POSITION AND WOULD NOT MOVE. I COMPLETELY LOST VISIBILITY ON THE DRIVER SIDE AND HAD TO LEAN OVER TO THE PASSENGER SIDE AS THIS WIPER WAS STILL WORKING. THE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 95) HAD A VERY SMALL BREAKDOWN LANE WHICH I DID NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE PULLING INTO DUE TO THE LACK OF SPACE AND VISIBILITY. WHEN I EVENTUALLY GOT TO MY DESTINATION I NOTICED THROUGH THE WIPER COVER THAT THE WIPER ELBOW APPEARED TO BE DISCONNECTED. I BROUGHT MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP TODAY AND THEY DISCOVERED THE WIPER TRANSMISSION WAS BROKEN. THEY MENTIONED THAT THIS VERY ISSUE CAME UP WITH CHEVY EQUINOXES AND THEY WERE CURRENTLY UNDER RECALL. ULTIMATELY I WAS CHARGED $228.05 AFTER PARTS, LABOR, AND TAXES.
THIS VEHICLE SAFETY COMPLAINT IS IN REGARDS TO MY 2011 CHEVROLET CRUZE LT, WHICH WAS SERVICED AT OURISMAN CHEVROLET OF BOWIE, A GENERAL MOTORS (GM) AUTHORIZED DEALER, FOR THE REPAIR OF MY VEHICLE. I INCURRED CHARGES FOR UNWARRANTED MAINTENANCE REPAIRS ON THE FOLLOWING DATES SEPTEMBER 26-OCTOBER 5, 2016 ($134.95 AND $139.07 (COST FOR A NEW BATTERY)), APRIL 26, 2016 (WARRANTY COVERED REPAIRS), APRIL 11, 2016 ($590.92), AND APRIL 14, 2015 ($382.14) THAT NEVER ADDRESSED THE SAFETY COMPLAINTS I MADE, ALL OF WHICH WERE HANDLED BY SERVICE ADVISOR BUDDY REIO. ON THESE DATES, I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO BE SERVICED FOR EXPERIENCING HAZARDOUS ISSUES WITH ITS ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS AND REDUCED ENGINE ACCELERATION WHILE I WAS DRIVING BETWEEN 40-55 MILES PER HOUR. WITHOUT WARNING, MY VEHICLE'S SPEED WOULD DECELERATE (BOTH ON THE HIGHWAY AND RESIDENTIAL ROADS) AND MY CAR DOORS WOULD BEGIN TO LOCK AND UNLOCK UNCONTROLLABLY WITH ERROR MESSAGES 'SERVICE STABILITRAC,' 'SERVICE PARKING ASSIST,' AND 'SERVICE AIRBAG' DISPLAYING ON MY DASHBOARD. AFTER ABOUT 30 SECONDS OF THIS CONDITION, MY CAR WOULD RESUME NORMAL FUNCTIONING. I INCURRED $1,247.08 IN UNWARRANTED REPAIRS FOR MY VEHICLE, WHICH WAS NEVER PROPERLY DIAGNOSED, LEADING TO MY VEHICLE SHUTTING DOWN WHILE I WAS DRIVING IT ON OCTOBER 22, 2016. ON OCTOBER 22, 2016 AT 3:20 P.M., WHILE DRIVING ON A BUSY THOROUGHFARE, MY CAR DECELERATED AND ERROR MESSAGES DISPLAYING 'SERVICE STABILITRAC,' 'SERVICE PARKING ASSIST,' AND 'SERVICE AIRBAG' SHOWED. AFTER APPROXIMATELY 30 SECONDS, THE CAR BEGAN TO SHUT DOWN AND I MANAGED TO STEER IT OUT OF THE WAY OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC. I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED CHEVROLET'S ROADSIDE SERVICE AND INFORMED THE REPRESENTATIVES THAT MY ENGINE WOULD NOT START AND I WAS STUCK ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD.
I WAS DRIVING TO WORK ON OCT 10, 2016, A BIT BEFORE 3:30 PM ON THE BELT PARKWAY IN BROOKLYN NY. I WAS GOING SLOWLY AS THERE WAS HEAVY TRAFFIC. I HAD BEEN DRIVING FOR 90 MINUTES WHEN I TURNED ON THE AC AND IMMEDIATELY NOTICED A STRONG BURNING SMELL, SO I TURNED THE AC OFF. A FEW MOMENTS LATER I NOTICED WISPS OF WHITE SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD OF THE CAR. BY THE TIME I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER (LESS THAN 2 MINUTES) HEAVIER WHITE THEN GRAY SMOKE BEGAN POURING OUT AND VARIOUS WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON IN THE DASHBOARD. I GOT OUT, GRABBED MY BELONGINGS AND CALLED 911 WITHIN 3 MINUTES OF PULLING OVER. AN OFF DUTY FIREMAN ATTEMPTED TO ASSIST WITH A FIRE EXTINGUISHER BUT IN MINUTES THE FRONT OF THE CAR WAS ABLAZE. FIREFIGHTERS RESPONDED QUICKLY BUT THE FRONT OF THE CAR WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES AND IT IS A TOTAL LOSS AT 67,000 MILES. IN 4 YEARS OF OWNING THIS CAR I HAD 3 RECALLS (ONE FOR ENGINE FIRE) AND MULTIPLE LETTERS FROM CHEVY OF OTHER ISSUES THAT MIGHT ARISE (THE LAST WAS FOR THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSSIBLY COMING OFF). I'VE NEVER HAD A CAR WITH THIS MANY ISSUES.
I HAVE BEEN HAVING SEVERAL ISSUES LATELY THAT ARE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY WITH MY CAR. POWER TRAIN ISSUES, STABILITY ISSUES, SENSOR ISSUES. THESE ISSUES HAVE HAPPENED ON AND OFF AND SOME HAVE BEEN FIXED BEFORE AND THEY KEEP GETTING WORSE. THE CAR STARTS SHAKING REALLY BAD WHEN I AM DRIVING. IT DOES NOT FEEL SAFE. *TR
HELLO. MY COMPLAINT IS ABOUT THE KEYS ON MY 2011 CHEVROLET CRUZE LS MANUAL MODEL. THE METAL KEY SEPARATES FROM THE KEY FOB. IT HAS DONE THIS ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS, ON TWO DIFFERENT FOBS. THE FIRST TWO TIMES MY CHEVROLET DEALER COVERED IT UNDER WARRANTY AND FIXED IT. THE WARRANTY IS OVER NOW. AT ANY RATE, THIS SHOULDN'T HAPPEN TO CAR KEYS! IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE, AND A NUISANCE AS WELL! IF THIS SHOULD HAPPEN TO SOMEBODY IN AN AREA WHERE IT'S UNSAFE, OR THE WEATHER IS BAD, ETC, IT COULD TURN OUT TO BE UNSAFE...BECAUSE THE KEY IS BROKEN OFF FROM THE FOB AND IT'S UNLIKELY ONE WOULD BE ABLE TO RIG IT UP TO GET THE CAR STARTED...AND SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BECAUSE IT SHOULD NOT BREAK IN THE FIRST PLACE! THE CAR HAD BEEN JERKING WHEN I PUT IN REVERSE, AND TAKING A DEW SECONDS TO GO WHEN I ACCELARATED. THE REVERSE WENT OUT AND I HAD TO TAKE IT TO A MECHANIC WHO TOLS ME I WOULS NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION WHICH WILL COST 3.7K THE CAR HAS ONLY 69K MILES HAD REGULAR OIL CHANGES.

WHILE DRIVING IN TOWN I TOOK OFF FROM A STOPLIGHT AND MY CAR ALL OF SUDDEN DID NOT HAVE DRIVE, IT JUST REVVED. COULD NOT GET IT TO MOVE FORWARD AT ALL. CAR NEVER SHIFTED RIGHT TO BEGIN WITH. WE HAD REVERSE GEAR BUT NO FORWARD. CHANGED TRANSMISSION AND TCM AND THE CAR WILL MOVE BUT CONTINUES TO REV TO HIGH. CANNOT DRIVE THE CAR THE WAY IT IS. CAR ONLY HAS 55000 MILES ON IT.

PICKED UP CAR FROM SHOP AFTER PAYING OVER 800.00 AND THE CAR STATED TO SMELL THE CAR ACT AS IF IT WILL CATCH A FIRE. SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE VENTS AND UNDER THE HOOD. CALLED THE DEALER AND NO HELP THE SERVICE MANAGER WILL NOT RETURN MY CALL. I'M OUT OF TOWN TWO HOURS FROM MY HOME. I WILL HAVE TO GET A HOTEL ROOM AND I PAID FOR RENTAL CAR FOR TWO DAYS ALREADY.

WHEN I AM DRIVING DOWN THE HIGH WAY OR IF I AM GOING UP THE HILL MY VEHICLE FEELS LIKE IT IS GOING TO STALL SO I HAVE TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. IT ALSO WAS A SALVAGE TITLE AND I HAD NO IDEA WHEN I BOUGHT IT I FOUND OUT IT WAS A SALVAGE VEHICLE AFTER I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO FIX MY RECALL IN WHICH THEY CLAIM THEY FIXED MY RECALL BUT I TOOK IT TO ANOTHER MECHANIC AND THEY TOLD ME THE RECALL WAS NOT FIXED. THE RECALL WAS A TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE. ALSO WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR I TOOK IT BACK THREE TIMES AND THEY SAID SINCE I PAID CASH FOR IT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO I FEEL LIKE THIS WAS A LEMON.
TRANSMISSION JERKS EXTREMELY HARD. WHEN AIR IS ON CAR FAILS TO ACCELERATE AT ALL. IDLES ON ITS OWN, JUMPS GEARS ALWAYS. FUEL SYSTEM IS BAD, IT CHOKES CONSTANTLY AND WONT START SOME DAYS. IT VIBRATES EXTREMELY HARD AND I HAD IT SERVICED 1 MONTH AGO FOR SHAFT CASE. THIS IS THE WORST CAR EVER!!!!!!! ITS A DANGER TO DRIVE IT WONT PICK UP SPEED AND WHEN THE AIR IS ON IT WONT MOVE AT ALL. IF STILL AT A LIGHT, IT WILL JERK EXTREMELY HARD TO WHERE IT JERKS ME. WHEN IN PARK IT IDLES ITSELF. IF I'M ENTERING ONTO THE HIGHWAY IT WONT PICK UP SPEED EVEN IF THE AIR IS NOT ON. IN ADDITION, WHILE DRIVING 8 MPH PULLING INTO THE DRIVEWAY, THE BRAKE PEDAL FAILED TO DEPRESS. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL BECAME STIFF AS IF IT WERE MANUAL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V360000 (SERVICE BRAKES). THE DEALER (CLASSIC CHEVROLET, 500 LINCOLN AVE, PITTSBURGH, PA, 15202, 412-451-8962) AND MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 24,000. ..UPDATED 08/22/17 *BF *CN

I WAS EXITING INTERSTATE 80 ON MY WAY TO WORK WHEN THE CAR SHIFTED FROM 4TH GEAR TO 5TH GEAR THE MOTOR STARTED FREE REVVING. I TOOK THE CAR TO MY OTHER JOB WHERE I CHANGED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID WITH DEXTRON VI. THE TRANSMISSION JUST KEPT GETTING WORSE AND STARTED SLIPPING IN OTHER GEARS. AMECHANIC TOLD ME HE THOUGHT THE TRANSMISSION WAS GOING BAD AND I NEEDED TO REBUILD IT OR GET A DIFFERENT TRANSMISSION..I TOOK OUT A LOAN TO BUY A USED TRANSMISSION AND TO N BECAUSE I WORK 2 JOBS AND DIDN'T HAVE TIME OR TOOLS TO DO MYSELF WHEN THE MECHANIC PUT THE USED TRANSMISSION IN THE CAR HE SAID IT IS SLIPPING ALSO. I'M OUT $1200.00 TRANSMISSION HAS A WARRANTY BUT LABOR MONEY IS GONE PLUS I'M PAYING INTEREST ON THAT MONEY NOW. I ALWAYS CHANGED MY OIL PUT BRAKES ON TIRES WHATEVER THE CAR NEEDED I DID. I BOUGHT THE CAR NEW AND HIT HAD A 3/36000 BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY. THE WHEEL BEARING WENT OUT AT 38 OR 39000 MILES THEY SAID I WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. I HAVE A 5/100000 MILE WARRANTY ON THE TRANSMISSION AND I'M 3 MONTHS AND 9000 MILES OVER I CANT IMAGINE THEY WOULD DO ANYTHING TO HELP WITH THAT SINCE THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING ON A $100.00 PART..VERY DISGUSTED WITH THE RELIABILITY ON THESE NEW CARS. THEY LOOKED AT CAR AND CHARGED ME $35.00 FOR LOOKING AT IT FOR 2 SECONDS TO TELL ME IT HAS NO COMPRESSION AND MY MOTOR IS BLOWED. FUEL LINE CONNECTION LEAKS GASOLINE UNDER RIGHT REAR OF CAR EVERY TIME IGNITION KEY IS TURNED ON AND WILL CONTINUE TO LEAK WHEN CAR IS BEING DRIVEN. FAILURE CAN OCCUR FOR NO REASON AT ANY TIME. THE LOCATION OF THE CONNECTOR IS HIGHLY SUSCEPTABLE TO BEING DAMAGED AS IT IS UNPROTECTED AND EXPOSED EXTENDING UNDER THE VEHICLE. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM AND NO GM RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED AND IS A POSSIBLE FIRE HAZZARD.

BURNING SMELL FROM ENGINE. BACK IN MAY 2016 I STARTED SMELLING THIS BURNING SMELL AFTER YOU DROVE THE CAR FOR 20 MINS. I BRING IT UP TO THE DEALER EVERY TIME I HAVE TO TAKE THE CAR IN. THEY CAN NEVER FIND THE SOURCE. THEY THOUGHT A OIL PAN LEAK WAS IT. THAT WAS FIXED AND THE SMELL STILL IS THERE. THEY CLAIMED TO FIND AN OIL LEAK ANOTHER TIME AND FIXED. THEN IT WAS A TRANSMISSION LEAK, WHICH WAS FIXED AND STILL THE SMELL. THERE IS NEVER FLUID UNDER THE CAR. I HAVE THE SMELL NOTED EVERY TIME.

DASH BOARD RANDOMLY LIGHTS UP; RADIO HAS GONE COMPLETELY OFF; STEERING WHEEL DIFFICULT TO TURN; SECURITY LOCK OUT ENGAGED ONCE; TRACTION CONTROL CAME ON AND HARD TO STEER AND SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THIS INCIDENTS ARE HAPPENING RANDOMLY AND HAD NEAR MISS ON HIGHWAY NOT EXPECTING THE STEERING TO LOCK UP OR BECOME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. THIS HAS HAPPENED OVER LAST SEVERAL MONTHS. INDEPENDENT CAR REPAIR SHOP COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING, BUT STILL HAPPENS.
2016 ECM REPROGRAMMING RECALL EVER SINCE I BROUGHT MY CAR IN FOR THE RECALL IN 2016 TO HAVE THE ECM REPROGRAMMED, I HAVE HAD SEVERE ISSUES WITH VERY ROUGH IDLING, SLOW ACCELERATION, AND INCONSISTENT FUEL USAGE. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND LISTS SEVERAL SENSORS THAT NEED TO BE REPLACED. WE REPLACED ALL OF THEM AND THE PROBLEM STILL COMES BACK. NOW THE CODES INDICATE THERE IS A CATASTROPHIC ISSUE WITH THE ECM AND CHEVY WILL NOT COVER IT EVEN THOUGH THIS ISSUE STARTED FROM THEIR OWN RECALL.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS A VACUUM LEAK AND THE DIAPHRAGM AND VALVE COVER ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,064.
MY A/C CONDENSER WAS HIT BY A ROCK AND THE DEALER SAID IT'S NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. BUT I KNOW THERE IS A TSB #10461 ABOUT THE A/C CONDENSER.
THE VEHICLE HAS NO OPEN RECALLS, AND THE RECALL ADDRESSING THE BRAKE PRESSURE, (MICRO SWITCH PROBLEM) HAS BEEN COMPLETED. ON OCCASIONS INCLUDING THIS MORNING, WHEN THE VEHICLE SITS OVERNIGHT, THERE SEEMS TO BE A LOSS OF BRAKE PRESSURE, THAT IS YOU CAN PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL ALL THE WAY DOWN WITH SIGNIFICANT PRESSURE, AND THE VEHICLE BARELY STOPS. I FIRST NOTICED IT BACKING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY, AND COMING TO THE FIRST STOP SIGN AT THE END OF OUR SIDE STREET. ONCE THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN RUNNING FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME, AND AFTER AT LEAST ONE ATTEMPTED STOP, THE PRESSURE GOES TO NORMAL. NOW THAT I AM AWARE OF THE POTENTIAL OF THIS HAPPENING, I NOTICED EVEN WITH THE CAR IS STATIONARY BEFORE BACKING OUT, THE BRAKE PRESSURE IS LOW. RESEARCHING THE PROBLEM IT SEEMS LIKE I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE HAVING THIS EXPERIENCE.

PUSHED ONSTAR BUTTON TO GET DIAGNOSTIC CHECK. ENGINE ERROR CODE FOUND, ADVISED TO TAKE TO DEALER TO INVESTIGATE. STARTED VEHICLE ABOUT TEN MINUTES INTO DRIVE, COULD SMELL COOLANT FROM ENGINE AND VEHICLE SLOWED AND CHIMES CAME ON WITH DASH READING: ENGINE OVERHEATED STOP CAR AND TURN OFF ENGINE. HAD TOWED TO DEALER, THEY SAY A PORT IS CRACKED IN CYLINDER HEAD AND COOLANT LEAKING. WILL COST $500 TO FIX. VEHICLE HAS 59,000 MILES. ALSO ENGINE MAKES POPPING NOISES AFTER RUNNING ON HIGHWAY AND COME TO A COMPLETE STOP. SITTING AT LIGHT OR STOP SIGN AND IT POPS FOUR OR FIVE TIMES. DON'T HEAR IT WHEN I'M DRIVING. THESE CARS ARE LEMONS, GM NEEDS TO RECALL THEM AND GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK!
I BOUGHT THE 2011 CHEVROLET CRUZ IN 2014, I USED THE CAR PRIMARILY FOR WORK SO THROUGHOUT THE FIRST FEW YEARS I DIDN'T NOTICE ANYTHING STRANGE AS IT REMAINED PARKED MOST THE TIME. WHEN I DID START DRIVING IT AS A PRIMARY VEHICLE THE FIRST ISSUE I HAD WAS THE CLUTCH AND GEAR SYSTEM SEEMED TO BE TOUCHY WHEN THE CAR WAS IN PARK, RESORTING TO ME USING THE EMERGENCY BRAKE EVERY TIME I WOULD PARK IT. AT THE TIME IT DIDN'T SEEM TO BE A BIG ISSUE AS IT BECAME A HABIT. IN 2016 SHORTLY AFTER THIS MY OIL CONSUMPTION AND TURBO FAILED, AND THE VEHICLES EXHAUST STARTED BLOWING BLUE SMOKE AND THE CAR LOST ALL POWER. AS THIS WAS A NEW CAR I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC AND HAD VEHICLES TURBO REPLACED. JUST OVER A YEAR LATER IN 2018 THE VEHICLE IS EXHIBITING THE EXACT SAME EFFECTS SUCH AS REMOVING AND REPLACING THE ECO,1.4L ENGINE, TURBOCHARGER, EVACUATE AND REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM, AND TRANSFER OF THE FUEL AND ELECTRICAL ASSEMBLIES AND ENGINE MOUNTS. I'M ALMOST CERTAIN THIS CAR IS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDS TO BE RECALLED.

I OWN A 2011 CRUZE IT HAS HAD A SLEW OF PROBLEMS, TRANS CELL BLOWN, WATER PUMPS REPLACED, TRANS REPROGRAMED, TURBO REPLACED AND MUCH MORE, NOW THE VALVE BODY IN THE TRANS IS BAD CAR HAS LESS THAN 60K AND I HAVE MENTIONED THE TRANS ISSUE SINCE 20K IN WHICH I WAS TOLD I WAS CRAZY BY DEALERSHIP AND NO RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THIS. I DO NOT THINK GM SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO SELL THE CRUZE ANYMORE THIS CAR IS A DEATH TRAP WAITING TO HAPPEN JUST LIKE THE COBALT. I AM FUSTRATED AND FED UP. SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS A JOKE. AND THE CRUZE HAS OVER 24,000 COMPLAINTS REGARDING ALL THE SAME ISSUES AND NOTHING IS NOTHING BEING DONE ABOUT THE TRANS ISSUE. DEALER OPENED UP MY TRANS TODAY AND FOUND CLOGGED 1 AND 2 CELLINOID AND CLOGGED SCREEN AS WELL AS BROKEN CLIP CAUSING HESITATION, HARD SHIFTING AND VALVE BODY MOVEMENT. I THINK THIS MATTER SHOULD BE FURTHER INVESTIGATED.
