2012 CHEVROLET CRUZE. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO WATER PUMP LEAKAGE. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THE WATER PUMP WAS REPAIRED AND BEGAN TO LEAK AGAIN THE SAME DAY *JS
I HAVE A 2012 CHEVY CRUZE LTZ RS WITH 35,162 MILES.I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK AT 2AM DURING A SNOW STORM. 30 MPH IN WHITE OUR CONDITION. LUCKILY I WAS ON A CITY ROAD. OUT OF NOWHERE MY SERVICE STABITRACK LIGHT FLASHES AND MY SPEED REDUCED DRAMATICALLY AND MY CAR BECAME ERRATIC. I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED BY A SNOW PLOW.I COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED. I BASICALLY HAD NO CONTROL OVER MY CAR. I HAD NO IDEA WHAT IT WAS AND IT SCARED THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS OUT OF ME.I WAS SEARCHING FORUMS AND THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE WITH THE CAR. HOWEVER CHEVY DOESN'T CARE ENOUGH ABOUT ITS CUSTOMERS TO ISSUE A RECALL ON THE ISSUE. I HOPE THIS ISSUE CAN BE ADDRESSED BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED OR SERIOUSLY INJURED

TIRES LIGHT ALL THE TIME, OVERHEATING ALL THE TIME SPEND 100 OF DOLLAR ON ANTI-FREEZE COOLANT RAN IN OVERFLOW TANK SPENT OVER $769.00 0N PEOPLE GIVING FALSE REPORT ON WHAT WRONG WITH VEHICLE. I TRIED TO FILE FOR BANKRUPTY BUT WASN'T SUCCESSFUL DUE LOW INCOME. STOP ON CITY STREET.
LIKE ALL THE OTHER CHEVROLET CRUZES WITH RADIO ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. MY 2012 LTZ CRUZE WITH 50,000 MILES ON IT IS ALSO HAVING THE SAME ISSUES. ON FEBRUARY 10, 2017 MY RADIO STARTED FREAKING OUT. IT WOULD GO OFF AND ON SEVERAL TIME WITH THE RADIO SOMETIMES WORK AND OTHER TIMES NOT. THIS WOULD HAPPEN UP TO 4 TIMES WITH IN A 1/2 HOUR OF DRIVING. MY DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT IN THE DASH WILL GO ON AND OFF. THE BLINKER WOULD GO ON AND OFF. AND AFTER READING ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE POSTINGS I SOON WILL BE HAVING MORE ISSUES WITH THE ELECTRICAL/RADIO/DASH ISSUES AND THE CAR SHUTTING DOWN AND POSSIBLE STEERING PROBLEMS..... THAT'S JUST GREAT! WHY HASN'T GM DONE ANYTHING ABOUT THIS? WHY IS IT THAT PEOPLE HAVE TO HAVE A RECK AND POSSIBLY DIE BEFORE GM FIXES THIS.....WE PAY A LOT A MONEY FOR THIS CARS AND THEY SHOULD LAST A LOT LONGER WITH OUT ISSUES.
SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL
I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY TRUNK RELEASE. THE TRUNK WILL RANDOMLY POP OPEN WHEN THE CAR IS IN PARK AND WHEN I START THE CAR AND, WHEN THE CAR IS OFF AND IN PARK.
VIOLENT JERKING WHEN SWITCHING FROM PARK TO OTHER GEARS. SLUGGISH ACCELERATION FLASHING D
I BELIEVE THE GM RECALL 25302 ON CHEVROLET EQUINOX VEHICLES SHOULD BE EXPANDED TO INCLUDE THE CRUZE MODEL. I OWN EACH OF THESE MODELS AND HAVE NOT HAD AN ISSUE YET ON THE EQUINOX, BUT THE CRUZE HAD TO HAVE WIPER BALL JOINT REPLACEMENT THAT IS EXPLAINED IN THIS EXISTING RECALL. PLEASE CONSIDER EXPANDING THIS RECALL TO INCLUDE ALL MODULES OF CHEVROLET THAT UTILIZE THIS SAME WIPER BALL JOINT BECAUSE THIS DESIGN FAULT EXISTS ON THE CRUZE MODEL AS WELL. MY CRUZE WAS FIXED AT A GARAGE THAT IS NOT CHEVROLET DEALER AFFILIATED, SO I'M NOT SURE HOW THE NHTSA TRACKS THESE TYPES OF ISSUES. THE ISSUE WITH THE CRUZE WAS THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE WIPER BLADE WAS NO LONGER MOVING, THE BALL JOINT WAS BROKEN AND NO LONGER FUNCTIONING AND HAD TO BE REPLACED.
THE MORNING OF 1/5/17 I NOTICED MY PASSENGER WINDSHIELD WIPER WOULD NOT MOVE, BUT THE DRIVERS SIDE STILL WORKED. NO CHANGE ON THE AFTERNOON DRIVE HOME. ON THE MORNING OF 1/6/17, THE PASSENGER SIDE WIPER STILL DIDN'T MOVE, BUT THE DRIVERS SIDE WIPER MOVED UP AND THEN WOULD NOT RETURN TO THE DOWN POSITION. I MANUALLY MOVED IT DOWN, AND NOW NEITHER WIPER MOVES. VERY DANGEROUS AT ANY TIME TO NOT BE ABLE TO CLEAR MY WINDSHIELD, BUT WITH THE DIRT AND GRIME OF THE WINTER IN THE MIDWEST ALONG WITH THE CONSTANT FLECKS OF SNOW FROM THE CARS AROUND ME, I WAS STRUGGLING TO MAKE IT TO WORK SAFELY. I'LL HAVE THE ISSUE ADDRESSED WITH MY MECHANIC THIS EVENING/WEEKEND.
"TAKATA RECALL" I HAVE AND ISSUE NOW FOR MONTHS SINCE I FINANCED THE CHEVY CRUZE 2012. IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE BRAKES OR RUNNING LIGHTS SWITCH. IF THE LIGHTS ARE ON RUNNING MODE AND YOU TOUCH THE BRAKES IT SEEMS THE RADIO GOES ON AND OFF, ALSO ACTS LIKE THE CAR IS SHUTTING OFF WHEN YOU ARE STOPPED. ALSO THE STABLITY TRAC LIGHT ON DASH COMES ON MULTIPLE TIMES. I DO NOT HAVE THE FUNDS TO HAVE SOMEONE CHECK ON THE SITUATION ESPECIALLY WHEN I HAVE READ UP AND SEEN SO MANY COMPLAINTS BOUT THE SAME THING. I BELIEVE THIS IS A MANUFACTURER PROBLEM MAYBE TO MUCH POWER SURGE TO CIRCUIT OR WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT. HOWEVER IT IS A SERIOUS CONDITION BECAUSE WHEN I WENT TO MAKE A TURN THE BRAKES N STEERING WENT OUT BASICALLY I ASSUMED THE CAR LOST POWER AND THANK GOD I KNEW TO HIT THE GAS PEDAL TO GET IT TO STOP , AND RE-FUNCTION LIKE ITS SUPPOSE TO DO. I HATE TO SAY THIS TO CHEVY BUT THEY NEED A RECALL ON THESE CHEVY CRUZE 2012"S . BEFORE SOMEONE LIKE MYSELF OR ANOTHER GETS HURT OR EVEN WORSE KILLED IN THE CAR SYSTEMS MALFUNCTION. THE CAR IS AT THE AUTONATION SERVICE CENTER ON SECURITY BLVD. IN BALTIMORE AND THEY ARE LOOKING TO PROFIT FROM THESE DEFECTS. IT'S SAD...
RADIO IS TURNING ON AND OFF. STABILITYTRAK CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON POWER STEERING GIVE OUT AND BRAKES
I JUST BOUGHT MY CHEVY CRUZE ON DEC 18TH 2016 AND ON DEC 24TH 2016 MY CAR WOULDN'T START WHILE IN PARK, NO WARNING LIGHTS, NO PEEPING, NO NOTHING JUST WOULD NOT START, I WAITED A FEW MINUTES THEN IT STARTED. I DROVE ABOUT 10 OR MORE MILES TO MY DADS WAS THERE ABOUT 5 MINUTES GOT IN MY CAR TO LEAVE, SAME THING, WOULDN'T START, AGAIN NO PEEPING, NO WARNING LIGHTS NOTHING,WAITED ABOUT 3 TO 5 MINUTES AND IT STARTED. I IMMEDIATELY TOOK IT TO THE DEALER, THEY TOLD METO BRING IT IN THE FOLLOWING SAT WHICH WAS DEC. 31, 2016, THE CAR STARTED THE REST OF THAT WEEK NO PROBLEM. TOOK THE CAR IN ON DEC. 31, 2016, THEY STILL HAVE MY CAR AND IT IS JANUARY 7TH, 2017, THEY CAN'T FIND WHAT IS WRONG. I HAVE SINCE DONE RESEARCH ON THIS CAR AND FOUND OUT IT IS THE MOST UNRELIABLE CAR OUT THERE. I DRIVE AN 82 YEAR OLD LADY TO HER APPOINTMENTS AND I CAN'T RISK BEING IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF CAR PROBLEMS. I GOT RID OF A 1994 FORD ESCORT BECAUSE OF IT BREAKING DOWN ALL THE TIME, NOW IT SOUNDS LIKE I JUST TRADED THAT IN FOR THE SAME [XXX] THING JUST A DIFFERENT MAKE AND MODEL. I AM NOT DEALING WITH IT, I'M TAKING THE CAR BACK ONE WAY OR THE OTHER. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN DEALERSHIP SELLING ME THIS CAR, SPECIFICALLY TOLD THEM I NEEDED A SAFE RELIABLE CAR AND THEY SELL ME THE WORST RATING CAR ON THE [XXX] LOT. NEVER EVER WILL I BUY A CHEVY OR A FORD AGAIN. WE WILL SEE HOW THE DEALER MAKES THIS RIGHT IF I GO BACK TO THEM OR GIVE THEM A GOOD REVIEW. IT HAS BEEN 7 DAYS NOW AND THEY STILL HAVE MY CAR AND EVERYDAY I'M TOLD THE SAME THING, DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS, DON'T KNOW WHEN WE WILL GIVE YOU YOUR CAR BACK. TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2012 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF POWER BRAKING. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE VEERED OFF THE ROAD AND CRASHED INTO A FENCE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE THEN TO A SALVAGE YARD. THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED DESTROYED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 13V360000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC) AND 14V300000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 51,568.
DRIVER SIDE WINDSHIELD WIPER STOPPED WORKING WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREET. IT MOVED A QUARTER UP THE WINDSHIELD AND STOPPED WORKING. *TR
CAR GOES INTO A POWER DOWN MODE AND STABILITRAK LIGHT COMES ON. HAS BEEN IN DEALERSHIP FOR A WEEK AND STORED NO CODES TO DIAGNOSE. CAN BE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT 60 AND HAVE LOSS OF POWER. WILL EVENTUALLY CAUSE ACCIDENT. CAR IS STILL UNDER POWERTRAIN WARRANTY AND CANT BE DIAGNOSED. *TR
The "service airbag" alert comes up every time the vehicle is turned on. My mechanic told me that this may have been due to a faulty seat belt. This car has never been in a collision, is clean title, and otherwise is in good working conditions. The estimate for this repair was $950 parts and labor.
I WAS DRIVING BY MYSELF DOWN A BUSY ROAD, LUCKILY NOT TOO BUSY WITH TRAFFIC AND THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT CAME ON WITH COMMENT STABILITY TRACTION. I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER, TURNED THE CAR OFF AND CALLED OUR CHEVY DEALER. I WAS INSTRUCTED TO LEAVE THE CAR OFF A FEW MINUTES THEN TURN IT BACK ON WHICH I DID. ALL THE LIGHTS WENT AWAY. I SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR SEVERAL DAYS LATER TO HAVE THE CAR CHECKED. THE CAR WAS FINE THE REST OF THE DAY. THE NEXT DAY AROUND 3 PM I WAS LEAVING WORK THE STABILITY TRACTION LIGHT CAME ON AND THEN THE REDUCED ENGINE SPEED LIGHT CAME ON. MY CAR DROPPED TO 10 MILES AN HOUR I WAS ABOUT REAR ENDED. I TURNED ON HAZARDS. I RIGHT AT AN INTERSECTION, I STARTED BLOWING MY HORN CAUSE THE LIGHT TURNED YELLOW. I TURNED INTO A PARKING LOT. I IMMEDIATELY TURNED THE CAR OFF AND CALLED THE DEALER AGAIN. THE GUY ON THE PHONE STATED TURN THE CAR OFF AND ON FOR A FEW MINUTES AND IT DID RESET. HE SAID I SEE YOU HAVE AN UPCOMING APPOINTMENT. I SAID YES BUT I AM DROPPING THE CAR OFF TONIGHT AND HE STATED OKAY. NEXT DAY THEY PHONE ME AND THE"THROTTLE BODY" WAS BAD. MANY, MANY COMPLAINTS ONLINE ABOUT THIS. HE STATED HE ALSO HAD TO REPLACE THE OUTLET HOUSING, SOMETHING TO DO WITH OIL. THIS WAS JUST RE-PLACED 15 MONTHS AGO BUT WAS NOW OUT OF WARRANTY. A DAY LATER I WAS OUT $1,053.99. LUCKILY I HAD THE MONEY! MY POINT IS NOT ONLY MYSELF BUT OTHERS, MANY OTHERS ALL OVER THE INTERNET HAVE ISSUES WITH THIS THROTTLE BODY. WHY NOT RECALL IT? DO YOU REALIZE WHAT DANGER I WAS IN??? THANK YOU.

THE CONTACT'S WIFE ALSO NOTED SMOKE EMITTING FROM THE VEHICLE WHILE THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE WATER OUTLET WAS LEAKING COOLANT OUT OF THE ENGINE ONTO THE TRANSMISSION. THE CONTACT REPAIRED THE VEHICLE HIMSELF. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
FIRST, I RECEIVE A WARNING ABOUT ENGINE TEMP SO I PUT SOME COOLANT IN AND THE PROBLEM DOESN'T COME UP AGAIN FOR A WEEK. BETWEEN THAT TIME, THE TIRE SENSOR MALFUNCTIONS AND THE CAR IS AT ONLY 40,000 MILES SO IT'S NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY. THE SECOND TIME I GET THE TEMP WARNING I'M ON THE WAY TO WORK RIDING ALONG A HIGHWAY AND THE CAR LOSES MOMENTUM AND LED ADVISES THAT CAR IS LOWERING POWER TO PROTECT ENGINE. MIND YOU, THIS IS AFTER I'VE ALREADY SPENT $400 ON NEW TIRES AND CHANGED THE OIL. A MINUTE AFTER THE LED ON, THE CAR WAS TRYING TO COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN AT THIS POINT AND I PULLED OVER. WHEN I GET TO A COMPLETE STOP, STEAM JUST ENGULFS MY HOOD. THE CAR WENT FROM DRIVING WITH NO INDICATION OF TROUBLE TO A COMPLETE DISASTER IN A MATTER OF ONE AND A HALF MINUTES. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO MY HOUSE AND LATER ON BROUGHT IT TO A CHEVROLET DEALER TO GET A DIAGNOSTIC. CHEVROLET ADVISES THAT THE ENGINE IS BAD. MY FOUR YEAR OLD CAR WITH JUST OVER 40,000 MILES NEEDS A $7,000 ENGINE REPLACEMENT. THIS IS NOT A NORMAL OCCURRENCE AND I'VE NEVER HAD A SIMILAR ISSUE ON A CAR THAT HASN'T EVEN HIT HALF A 100K. THESE PROBLEMS DIDN'T HAPPEN WITH A 1999 MODEL I HAD FOR MUCH LONGER THAN THIS AND THE MILEAGE WAS OVER 120,000 WHEN THE CAR STARTED GIVING UP. THERE ARE MANY SIMILAR COMPLAINTS HERE WITH SIMILAR ISSUES AND THESE PEOPLE INVESTED IN A VEHICLE THAT WE EXPECTED TO SERVE US FOR THE PRICE WE PAID. I BOUGHT AMERICAN BECAUSE I WANTED TO SUPPORT INDUSTRY IN OUR COUNTRY. CHEVY LAUDS ITSELF AS A TOP-TIER COMPANY RANKED AT HIGHLY WITH MULTIPLE AUTO MAGAZINES EVERY YEAR. MY EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN VERY LOW, THOUGH AND THIS HAS CAUSED ME SEVERE FINANCIAL BURDEN FOR A VEHICLE I PAID IN FULL PRICE BRAND NEW. ENGINE REPLACEMENTS DO NOT HAPPEN AT 40,000 MILES ON A BRAND NEW CAR WITH A TOP-TIER AUTO MAKER. *TR
WAS DRIVING AND ALL THE SUDDEN GOT WARNING LIGHTS AND A/C SHUT OFF DUE TO COOLANT TEMP? OR SOMETHING TO THAT AFFECT. THEN MY FAN KICKED ON AND IT WENT AWAY BUT THE FAN JUST STAYS RUNNING BUT THE COOLANT TEMP IS NOT EVEN HOT CAN EVEN GET HOT OUT OF THE HEATER VENTS BUT STILL THINKS I'M OVERHEATING THEN THE CAR SHUT ITSELF OFF! I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT IN THE MORNING WITH CAR DEALERSHIP BUT I'VE SEEN MANY PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE SHOULD BE A RECALL NOT FAIR TO MAKE US PAY MY CAR IS STILL NEW
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, THE SERVICE AIR BAG INDICATOR ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DEPLOYMENT LOOP LOW RESISTANCE HAD A POOR CONNECTION BETWEEN THE SIR COIL AND STEERING WHEEL AIR BAG. THE SIR COIL AND STEERING WHEEL AIR BAG WERE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V300000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000. TRANSMISSION FAILED AFTER PARKING. HAD 80K MILES
MY 2012 CHEVY CRUZE ECO SUDDENLY LOST POWER AND ACCELERATION WAS VERY POOR ON 10/29/2016. ALMOST GOT HIT TRYING TO PULL OUT FROM A STOP SIGN BECAUSE THE POWER WAS NO LONGER THERE TO TAKE OFF. AFTER HAVING AN AUTO MECHANIC SHOP LOOK AT THE CAR ON 10/31/2016 WE DISCOVERED THAT THE OIL LINE FROM THE BLOCK OR WHERE THE OIL SUPPLY COMES FROM FOR THE TURBO HAD BEEN A PLASTIC LINE THAT HAD MELTED AND STOPPED OIL FROM FLOWING TO THE TURBO CHARGER. THIS APPEARS TO BE A POOR DESIGN ON GM'S PART TO USE PLASTIC LINES FOR SOMETHING THAT WILL OBVIOUSLY BE TRANSFERRING HOT OIL. IT SEEMS TO HAVE CAUSED THE TURBO TO BURN UP AND ALSO CREATED AN EXHAUST LEAK . I AM STILL WAITING ON A FINAL PRICE FROM THE MECHANIC SHOP TO FIND OUT HOW MUCH DAMAGE WAS DONE. THEY HAVE CALLED ME TODAY 11/1/2016 AND ASKED THAT I COME IN SO THEY CAN SHOW ME MORE DAMAGE THEY HAVE FOUND AS A RESULT OF THIS LINE MELTING. I HAVE SPOKEN TO ONE OF THE OWNERS AT [XXX] FAMILY OF DEALERSHIPS AND THEY WERE OF NO HELP STATING THAT IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY. REALLY? WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AT APPROXIMATELY 50 MILES/HOUR, AFTER DARK IN HEAVY RAIN, THE DRIVERS WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM SUDDENLY STOPPED MOVING. THIS FAILURE MAY HAVE RESULTED IN PROPERTY OR PERSONAL INJURY OR BOTH, WHEN MY VIEW WAS OBSTRUCTED DUE TO THE FAILURE OF THE WIPER ARM TO CLEAR THE RAIN. TWO OFFICERS SAW THE ERRORS AND THAT CAR COULDN'T MOVE. OUR TAKE: RAIN INITIATED TRACTION CONTROL, BUT CAR THOUGHT IT WAS SPINNING WHEN IT WASN'T, AND CORRECTED FOR IT BY APPLYING CERTAIN BRAKES TO CERTAIN TIRES CAUSING IT TO SPIN. DEALERSHIP SEES NO HISTORY OF THESE ERRORS FOR ALL 3 INSTANCES AND SAY THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING. I LEFT MY CAR RUNNING WITH THESE ERRORS ON FOR OVER AN HOUR WHILE WAITING FOR POLICE/TOW TRUCK. WHEN I START MY CAR, THE FOUR WAY FLASHERS TURN ON, MY TRUNK OPENS, WIPERS GO OFF, INTERIOR LIGHTS FLICKER, AND SERVE POWER STEERING APPEARS. I BROUGHT IT INTO THE DEALER, THEY REPLACED THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE FOR A SECOND TIME, AND RAN AN ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSIS. I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE BATTERY CABLE, THE ISSUES ARE STILL OCCURRING.

VEHICLE HAS HARD BRAKE PEDAL UPON COLD START AND SOMETIMES WHEN RESTARTED AFTER DRIVING AND WARM. VEHICLE BECOMES VERY HARD TO STOP WITHOUT WARNING AND UNSAFE TO DRIVE. DEALER REFUSED TO REPLACE PART AT NO COST STATING NO ADDITIONAL RECALL EXISTS AND NO WARRANTY EXISTS. IT IS UNCLEAR IF THIS IS THE VERY START OF A LARGER SYSTEMIC PROBLEM WITH THE ACTUAL DESIGN OF THESE MICRO SWITCHES IN THIS APPLICATION. GM PART NUMBER 13460776 HAS BECOME OBSOLETE AND PART NOW COMES AS SUB ASSEMBLY WITH ADDITIONAL PARTS. THIS LEADS ME TO BELIEVE ORIGINAL DESIGN OF MICRO SWITCH WAS DEFECTIVE.
