TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET CRUZE. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO START THE VEHICLE, IT FAILED TO START. ALSO, THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE REGISTERED HOT ALMOST IMMEDIATELY. THE THERMOSTAT WAS REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE ENGINE OIL WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED; HOWEVER, THERE WAS SUFFICIENT OIL IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
I WAS TAKING MY WIFE TO WORK WHICH IS ONLY 10 MNUTES AWAY, ON MY WAY HOME I HAD A DISPLAY ON MY DIGITAL DISPLAY SAYING ENGINE OVER HEAT/AC OFF SO I PANICKED AND SEEN THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON AND IT WAS SUPER HOT AND PANICKED MORE! I HAD MY 15 MONTH OLD IN THE CAR SO I DIDNT STOP BUT I GET HOME AND CHECK THE COOLANT AND ITS COMPLETELY EMPTY BUT I JUST FILLED IT A WEEK OR 2 BEFORE THIS INCIDENT. LATER ON AFTER THE CAR IS COOLED DOWN I FILL UP THE COOLANT, I THEN PICK MY WIFE UP FROM WORK AND CHECK THE COOLANT AFTER BUT IT WAS ALMOST COMPLETELY EMPTY WHEN I HAD JUST FILLED IT UP. CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME $125 AN HOUR JUST TO FIND THE PROBLEM AND I KNOW IM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WITH THIS PROBLEM THEY SENT OUT A LETTER ABOUT THIS BEFORE BUT IS TECHNICLLY NOT A RECALL AND THAT NEEDS TO CHANGE! I TAKE CARE OF OUR VEHICLE AND TO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT THAT EVERYONE ELSE IS HAVING AND NOT DO A RECALL IS JUST TERRIBLE! HOPE SOMETHING GETS DONE ABOUT THIS IF NOT ILL BE SURE TO BE ANTI GM WHEN TALKING TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND WILL NEVER BUY GM PRODUCTS AGAIN!
BROUGHT MY CAR IN FOR WHAT LOOKED LIKE INTAKE SEALS AND FOUND OUT THAT THE INTAKE MANIFOLD MANIFOLD IS CRACKED. I CALLED MANY OTHER AUTO REPAIR PLACES AND FOUND THAT THIS IS A MASSIVE PROBLEM AND CAN ONLY BE GOTTEN FROM THE DEALER AND I WILL BE GETTING ONE OF THE LAST IN THIS AREA AT THE COST OF $450.00 PLUS TIME. THE CAR STARTED RUNNING RUFF AND HAS 9 DIFFERENT CODES ALL RELATING TO A LEAN CONDITION.
HAS A HARD BRAKE PEDAL WILL NOT STOP SOMETIME THE SWITCH WAS REPLACED ON EARLY RECALL.

MY CAR IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS AND SHOULD BE COVERED WITH THE RECALL. MANUFACTURER: GENERAL MOTORS LLC SUMMARY: GENERAL MOTORS (GM) IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011-2012 CHEVROLET CRUZE VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 1.4L DOHC GASOLINE TURBO ENGINES AND 6T40 FRONT WHEEL DRIVE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS AND EQUIPPED WITH AN ELECTRIC VACUUM PUMP TO PROVIDE SUPPLEMENTAL VACUUM FOR BRAKE ASSIST, WHEN NEEDED. IN THE AFFECTED VEHICLES, THE PUMP MAY NOT ACTIVATE, RESULTING IN AN INTERMITTENT REDUCTION OR LOSS OF BRAKE ASSIST. CONSEQUENCE: A LOSS OF BRAKING ASSISTANCE WILL REQUIRE EXTRA PEDAL FORCE AND/OR DISTANCE TO BRING THE VEHICLE TO A STOP, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE VALVE COVER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN AN UNKNOWN RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED AND ALL THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND WOULD NOT RESTART UNTIL FIVE MINUTES LATER. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND RESTARTED INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY AND THAT THERE WERE NO OPEN RECALLS. THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC AND REPAIR COSTS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 85,000.
WHEN I TURNED OFF THE CAR, THE DIC SHOWED THE MESSAGE "SHIFT CAR INTO PARK." THE CAR WAS ALREADY IN PARK. I TRIED TO MOVE THE SHIFTER UP A LITTLE TO BE SURE THAT IT WAS COMPLETELY IN PARK, BUT IT DID NOT MOVE. I HAD TO START THE CAR AGAIN TO GET IT TO TURN OFF.
TRUNK ELECTRIC OPEN BUTTON DOES NOT WORK, MUST USE THE REMOTE TRUNK BUTTON TO OPEN TRUNK. I HOPE THAT NO SMALL CHILD SHOULD CLIMB IN TRUNK AND CLOSE THE TRUNK LID. WHEN CAR IS STATIONARY. AND REMOTE IS NOT CLOSE BY.
CAR JUST STOPPED IN TRAFFIC AND WOULD NOT MOVE IT GAVE NO WARNING THAT ANYTHING WAS WRONG . IT IS A GOOD THING I WAS NOT ON A HIGHWAY OR I MAY NOT BE HERE TO TELL YOU ABOUT THIS RIGHT NOW . IT WAS IN MOTION AND JUST STOPPED AND WOULD NOT MOVE . I COULD NOT EVEN PUSH IT OUT OF THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD . THE CAR BEHIND ME ALMOST HIT ME . IT WAS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
IN DEC OF 2015 I HAD TO REPLACE THE THERMOSTAT WITH ONLY 39000 ON IT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON FAN RACING. 6 MONTHS LATER IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON FAN RACING NOW THERE SAYING IT MIGHT BE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.I HAVE DRIVEN CHEVYS FOR 30 YEARS AND NEVER HAVE I HAD THIS MUCH TROUBLE THIS WILL BE MY LAST. FROM READING THE FORUMS IT SEEMS LIKE A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS WHY ISN'T THERE A RECALL ON THIS CAR.
MY DAD AND I NOTICED THAT AFTER MY CAR HAD BEEN DRIVEN FOR AWHILE THAT THE FAN BEGAN RUNNING REALLY HARD THEN I NOTICED ABOUT A MONTH AGO THAT MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I HAD A MECHANIC CHECK IT AND HE TOLD ME THAT IT WAS CODE P0599 WHICH IS THE THERMOSTAT CONTROL CIRCUIT. HE SD THAT HE BELIEVED THERE HAD BEEN A RECALL AT ONE TIME BUT FOR ME TO CONTACT THE DEALER. I CALLED ROD HATFIELD HERE IN LEXINGTON, KY AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE HAS BEEN SEVERAL CARS OF MY YEAR AND MODEL WITH THESE ISSUES BUT THERE WAS NOT A RECALL ISSUED FOR THIS AND I WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO GET IT FIXED.

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY SERVICED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V360000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE POWER STEERING SUDDENLY MALFUNCTIONED AND THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN. WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED, THE TRACTION CONTROL AND SERVICE POWER STEERING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES WERE NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 107,000.
DROVE TO MY AUNTS HOUSE AND UNBUCKLED MY SEAT BELT. WENT INSIDE FOR A BRIEF SECOND WHILE CAR WAS RUNNING. GOT BACK INTO MY CAR AND TRIED TO PUT MY SEAT BELT ON AND IT WOULD NOT LATCH. TRIED VARIOUS TIMES. WHEN I RETURNED HOME I TRIED IT AGAIN AND IT LATCHED.
I NOTICED MY CAR WASN'T BEEPING WHEN I TRIED TO LOCK IT. I TRIED TO START MY CAR AND IT COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN. I MANAGED TO GET MY HOOD OPEN AND DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY CABLES. IT WAS FINE FOR A FEW WEEKS THEN THE "CHECK STABILITRACK" WENT OFF AND MY CAR SHUT DOWN. I MADE IT TO MY DESTINATION AND IT SHUT DOWN COMPLETELY. I TRIED TO DISCONNECT IT AND EVEN THAT DIDN'T WORK. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION MANY HAD HAD THIS ISSUE AND IT'S NOT THE STABILITRAK ITS APPARENTLY THE GROUND CABLE TO THE BATTERY (BLACK CABLE). MY CAR WILL WORK BUT WILL OCCASIONALLY COMPLETELY RESET THE SYSTEM SO TRYING TO SAVE THE TIME OR DATE IS POINTLESS. I WANT THIS INVESTIGATED!
DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AFTER WORK DURING A RAINSTORM. WIPERS WERE OPERATING NORMALLY THE FIRST FEW MINUTES, AND SUDDENLY THE DRIVER SIDE WIPER FAILED. VISIBILITY WAS EXTREMELY DIMINISHED AND CREATED A SEVERE SAFETY HAZARD, AS I WAS IN MOTION, TRAVELING AT 65MPH AND IN HEAVY TRAFFIC CONDITIONS. I MANAGED TO MANEUVER MY CAR OFF TO THE SHOULDER WHERE I HAD TO REMAIN FOR SOME TIME UNTIL THE RAINSTORM PASSED; ONLY THEN WAS I ABLE TO CONTINUE DRIVING. I BELIEVE THIS IS AN EXTREME SAFETY HAZARD AND NEEDS TO BE PROPERLY ADDRESSED FOR RECALL, AS IT SEEMS MANY OTHER CHEVROLET CRUZE DRIVERS/OWNERS HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME TYPE OF SITUATION INVOLVING FAILING WIPER ARM FUNCTIONING.
DRIVING MY CAR AT ABOUT 25MPH STARTED TO HEAR A RATTLE IN IT. WHEN WENT TO ACCELERATE THE CAR STARTED TO SMOKE AND HAD NO POWER. WHEN IDLING YOU COULD HEAR THE MOTOR "WORK" AND IT HAD A JUMP IN IT. ONLY HAS 50,000 MILES AND HAS NEVER BEEN DRIVEN HARD. OF COURSE IT'S OUT OF WARRANTY NOW AND I HAVE NO CLUE WHY IT WOULDN'T ACCELERATE AND STARTED SMOKING. THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND WAS STILL ON WHEN I LEFT MY CAR SITTING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD.
THE CAR WILL NOT TURN OFF WHEN THE KEY IS TURNED OFF AND REMOVED. IT WILL JUST SIT THERE AND RUN UNTIL IT DECIDES TO QUIT ON IT'S OWN. I WOULD REALLY HATE TO HAVE TO SHUT IT DOWN IN AN EMERGENCY AND NOT BE ABLE TO. THAT COULD GET SOMEONE SERIOUSLY HURT OR KILLED! ALSO, THE VAPOR CANISTER VENT/PURGE VENT VALVE IS DEFECTIVE. THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL CAR AND IF THAT IS THE CASE, THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL.

AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A MAIL BOX. BOTH FRONTAL AIR BAGS DEPLOYED BUT DEFLATED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED BACK, LEG SHOULDER, HEAD AND LEG INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND WAS DEEMED DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. I WAS STARTING TO CROSS A BUSY INTERSECTION WHEN THE ENGINE LOSS POWER LIGHT AND STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON. CAR WOULD NOT GO OVER 5 MILES AN HOUR. JUST ABOUT 90 DAYS AGO IT WAS AT THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP FOR SAME PROBLEM WHERE THE THROTTLE BODY AND ALL SENSORS WERE REPLACED.
ENGINE STARTS SHAKING WHEN AIR CONDITIONER IS ON AND WHILE IN STOP SIGH.

THE VEHICLE SPUTTERED AND STALLED, AND THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CAM COVER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THE FUEL TRIM NEEDED TO BE RESET. THE REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AGAIN TO THE DEALER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STABILITRAC WARNING LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
VACUUM ASSIST FOR POWER BRAKES SOMETIMES DOES NOT WORK. YOU MUST PUSH AS HARD AS YOU CAN ON BRAKE PEDAL TO GET THE CAR TO STOP. SOME CHEVY CRUSE WERE RECALLED FOR THIS PROBLEM BUT MINE WAS NOT. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM THAT CAN CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT IN AN EMERGENCY BRAKING SITUATION.
VEHICLE HAS 29,980 APPROXIMATE MILES. VEHICLE HAD A LEAKING TORQUE CONVERTER SEAL. WHILE DEALERSHIP WAS REMOVING TRANSMISSION, A STRAY BOLT FELL FROM THE INTERIOR OF THE MOTOR. BOLT DOES NOT BELONG TO CAR. IT HAS DAMAGED THE BELL HOUSING. NO OTHER DAMAGE HAS BEEN REPORTED AT THIS MOMENT.
CAR SUDDENLY SHIFTED INTO 4TH GEAR WHILE GOING 70 MPH. SQUALLED LEFT FRONT TIRE, AND VIOLENTLY SNATCHED STEERING WHEEL TO THE LEFT. AFTER SHUTTING CAR OFF, THE PROBLEM WAS GONE. SHORTLY AFTER, STABILITRACK, AND STEERING ALARM APPEARED ON MESSAGE DISPLAY. THAT CLEARED ONCE SHUT-OFF. THREE WEEKS LATER IT OCCURRED AGAIN. THIS TIME, ON A TRIP, IT DID THE EXACT SAME PROBLEMS FOUR TIMES IN A ROW. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM. IF I HAD NOT HAD A FIRM GRIP ON THE WHEEL, I WOULD HAVE BEEN HURT. I PITY THE FOOL WHO TAILGATES ME! I TOOK THE CAR TO THE LOCAL DEALER, AND HAD THE CALIFORNIA FLASH "RECALL" DONE. SENSE THAT THE TRANSMISSION HAS NOT SHIFTED DOWN WHILE AT HIGH SPEEDS, BUT NOW, THE STABILITRACK, AND ABS LIGHTS ARE STAYING ON.
I PURCHASED A NEW 2012 CRUZE ECO NEW AND CURRENTLY HAVE 48K MILES ON IT. THIS WEEKEND THE CRUZE TWICE HAD THE FOLLOWING PROBLEMS: 1. DIC ERROR - ENGINE POWER REDUCED 2. DIC ERROR - SERVICE STABILITRAK 3. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ENGINE POWER WAS REDUCED TO PEAK OUT AT 10 MPH. LUCKILY THE POWER STEERING WAS UNAFFECTED AND I WAS ABLE TO GET THE CRUZE HOME WITHOUT ACCIDENT. LETTING THE CRUZE SIT FOR A FEW MINUTES IN THE OFF POSITION SEEMED TO CLEAR THE ISSUE, BUT IT WAS STILL SCARY TO HAVE THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN LIKE IT DID. LOCAL DEALER CONFIRMED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY WAS JUNK AND REPLACED IT BUT NOT UNDER ANY WARRANTY. TOTAL COST WAS $400. DEALER CONFIRMED THAT SIMILAR ISSUE IS OCCURRING WITH SIERRA PICKUPS AND THE TB IS COVERED UNDER THE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY. VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT THE TB WAS NOT COVERED AS AN ENGINE COMPONENT. MANY CRUZE OWNERS ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM...LOOK ON CRUZETALK.COM. THE TB SHOULD NOT BE WEARING OUT AT 48K...OR 100K.
THE TURN SIGNALS QUIT WORKING INTERMITTENT, RADIO DISPLAY GOES OUT LIKE IT IS SWITCHED OFF , DIGITAL SPEEDOMETER CHANGES SETTINGS, THESE CONDITIONS OCCUR WHEN VEHICLE IS DRIVEN. THE SERVICE THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM COMES ON WHEN VEHICLE IS PARKED.
VEHICLE CUTS OUT WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT LIKE IT WANTS TO SHUT OFF, CAR WAS RUNNING ABOUT 10 MINUTES AND IN MOTION AT 30 MPH FOR 5 MINUTES WHEN IT STARTED, THEN DROVE ON THE HIGHWAY FOR 30 MINUTES AND THROUGH TOWN ANOTHER 10 MINUTES, WHEN I GOT HOME IT WAS STILL CUTTING OUT, I WAS ALMOST HOME WHEN I NOTICED THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. TODAY I DID FILL MY GAS TANK. IT HAS DONE THIS ON OTHER OCCASIONS BUT NOT AS BAD AS IT DID TODAY AND THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. MY CAR HAS A LITTLE OVER 70,000 MILES ON IT, I'VE DONE REGULAR OIL CHANGES, WHEN I LOOKED UNDER THE HOOD I NOTICED LIQUID AROUND MY MOTOR GASKETS AND THE TRAY UNDER IT, I COULDN'T TELL IF IT WAS OIL OR ANTIFREEZE. WARRANTY HAS RAN OUT.
RECALL 14311 BUT DEALER DOES NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT,MY CAR HAVE DONE THIS FEW TIMES ALREADY BUT LAST COUPLE OF TIMES IT WAS REALLY SCARY BECAUSE I LOST TOTAL CONTROL OVER THE VEHICLE INCLUDING STEERING AND BRAKING THE CAR JUST SHOW A SING ON THE DASH AND RADIO GOES OF AS WELL AS THE REST OF THE VEHICLE ELECTRICAL PARTS, ALMOST CAUSING A CRASH DUE TO THIS ISSUE, I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 35MPH AND 40MPH WHEN THIS HAPPEN, ALSO I NOTICE THE IT HAPPENS WHEN I USE MY TURN SIGNALS AND WHEN I PRESS UP OR DOWN ON THE WINDOWS
AROUND SUNRISE ON A HIGHWAY WITH AN ADULT PASSENGER THE CAR LOST ALL POWER INSTANTLY. THE STEERING WAS HEAVY AND THE BRAKES HAD VERY LITTLE POWER. WE WAS ABLE TO DRIFT OVER TO A SAFE AREA. THE WAY THIS CAR PERFORMS WITH LITTLE BRAKING EFFORT IT CAN CAUSE SOME BAD ACCIDENTS IN OTHER ENVIROMENTS SUCH AS MOUNTAINS. THE SAFETY OF THE CHEVROLET CRUZE MODELS NEEDS TO BE IMPROVE.
I JUST PURCHASED MY 2012 CHEVY CRUZE 3 MONTHS AGO, IT HAS 36,000 MILES. LAST WEEK WHEN I STARTED OFF TO WORK I GOT A REDUCED ENGINE POWER MESSAGE AND THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. I READ THE MANUEL AND FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS, TURNED OFF THE CAR, WAITED AND RESTARTED,BUT IT STILL WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. I CHECKED ONLINE FOR REPORTED PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR AND FOUND THAT MANY PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD I COULD TAKE THE CAR IN BUT WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR ANY REPAIRS BECAUSE THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM. A FEW DAYS LATER I STARTED THE CAR AND IT SEEMED FINE SO I TRIED DRIVING IT. IT WAS FINE FOR THE FIRST 15 MINUTES BUT THEN THE REDUCED ENGINE POWER LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN AND THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE ONCE AGAIN. I HAD TO PULL OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, TURN OFF THE CAR AND WAIT SEVERAL MINUTES TO BE ABLE TO DRIVE A SHORT DISTANCE BEFORE THE PROBLEM HAPPENED AGAIN. THANK GOD I WAS NOT ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THIS HAPPENED OR I COULD HAVE BEEN IN A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT. I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT WITH SO MANY OWNERS REPORTING THE SAME PROBLEM THERE HAS NOT BEEN A RECALL. ALSO IT APPEARS THE MANUFACTURER WAS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM FROM THE BEGINNING BECAUSE IN THE OWNERS MANUEL THEY TELL YOU WHAT TO DO IF THIS SHOULD HAPPEN.
ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS MY VEHICLE HAS LOST POWER STEERING SERVICE. I HAVE ALMOST CRASHED INTO A METRO RAIL AND INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE BECAUSE I AM UNABLE TO TURN MY WHEEL. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, I WAS ABOUT TO PARK AND THE CAR TURNED OFF ON ME; THE KEY WAS LOCKED INTO THE IGNITION AND I COULDN'T TURN IT, THE DOORS LOCKED AND NOTHING WORKED. I WAS STUCK INSIDE UNTIL AFTER ABOUT 5 MINUTES, THE CAR UNLOCKED EVERYTHING AND THE ECU TURNED BACK ON. I'VE HAD TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TWICE FOR THIS PROBLEM AND THEY HAVE TOLD ME IT'S COVERED UNDER A "SPECIAL SERVICE" BUT THESE INCIDENTS HAPPENED ALMOST A YEAR APART. I DO NOT BELIEVE THE CAR IS FIXED. ALSO, THE SERVICE STABILITRAK AND OTHER LIGHTS FLASH ON AND OFF AND SO DO MY RADIO.

UPON FURTHER NOTICE, THE CONTACT NOTICED LIQUID LEAKING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WATER PUMP, WATER PUMP HOUSING, AND THE THERMOSTAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 90,000.
HAVE A ODOR COMING THROUGH HVAC SYSTEM STRONG ODOR OF HOT GREASE OR BURNING OIL ON COLD DAYS WITH HEAR ON GETS VERY STRONG AND OVER A PERIOD OF TIME SMELL GETS TO YOU AND GET SICKENING FEELING. HAD DEALERSHIP CHECK IT OUT AND WAS TOLD GM IS AWARE OF PROBLEM BUT IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY OR RECALL AT THIS TIME, I FEEL THIS IS A DEFECT PROBLEM AND IT SHOULD BE TAKEN CARE BY GM. WHILE DRIVING THE POWER STEERING SHUTS OFF, RADIO BLINKS ON AND OFF, AND THE BRAKES GET SPONGY MAKING IT HARD TO DRIVE AND STOP. I HAVE HAD IT IN THE SHOP AND THE MECHANICS WERE UNABLE TO FIND AN PROBLEM.
61,000 MILES AND CAR IS SHOWING REPEATED P2135 CODES FOR THROTTLE/PEDAL SENOR ISSUE AND PLACES THE CAR IN LIMITED POWER MODE. EVENT HAS HAPPENED DURING WARM-UP, AT STOP SIGNS AND LIGHTS, LOCAL STREET SPEEDS, AND DURING HIGHWAY TRAVEL/SPEEDS. I HAVE CLEARED THE ISSUE USING OBD II TOOL AND PHONE APP.

WE HAVE HAD NUMEROUS RECALLS OVER THE 4 YEARS, BUT NOW THE CAR IS FAILING TO BRAKE WHEN SHE IS PRESSING THE PEDAL AND AFTER SHE PUMPS IT, IT FINALLY COMES TO A STOP, BUT OF COURSE THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE FOR ANYONE. TOOK IT TO OUR MECHANIC THINKING MAYBE IT WAS BRAKE FLUID, BUT THEN HE FOUND ON THIS WEBSITE THE RECALL #12213 THAT GM HAD FROM 2013 DESCRIBING THIS VERY ISSUE. HE SUGGESTED CALLING THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE IT WAS UNDER THE RECALL AND WHEN I DID, THEY ARE TELLING ME IT WAS ALREADY REPAIRED ON HER CAR (WHICH I AM NOT SURE I BELIEVE BECAUSE WE HAVE HAD SO MANY BAD EXPERIENCES WITH THIS DEALER & RECALLS THAT I DON'T THINK IT WAS EVER REPAIRED!) THEY TELL ME WE WILL HAVE TO PAY TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM BECAUSE IT IS NO LONGER UNDER THE RECALL. I CALLED GM TO QUESTION WHY THEY WOULDN'T REPAIR A "KNOWN" ISSUE WITH THE BRAKES AND SHE TELLS ME THAT THE RECALL ITSELF HAS ALREADY BEEN CLOSED DOWN, SO IT MUST BE SOMETHING ELSE WRONG WITH THE CAR! I GUESS THEY WOULD RATHER HAVE A CRASH ON THEIR HANDS THEN TAKE RESPONSIBILITY BECAUSE AFTER READING THIS WEBSITE, MY DAUGHTER IS NOT THE ONLY ONE HAVING THIS ISSUE. I HIT MY HEAD ON THE SIDE DRIVERS WINDOW 3 TIMES DUE TO SIDE SEAT AIR BAGS NOT DEPLOYING. GM CAME OUT WHILE CAR WAS IN AUTO SHOP PUT SOME MACHINE ON IT TO ADDRESS MY ? WHY AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY WHEN IT WAS HIT HARD ENOUGH TO PUSH CAR FRAME IN AND SPIN WHOLE CAR THREE TIMES. THEY TOLD BODY SHOP THAT IT WAS HIT IN SUCH A WAY THE TWO SEAT AIR BAGS WERE NOT SENSORED.
