TIRE WENT FLAT SITTING OVER NIGHT. GOODYEAR ASSURANCE TIRE INNER BELT BROKE AND PROTRUDED THROUGH SIDEWALL OF TIRE WHILE PARKED IN DRIVE WAY. IF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED ON THE ROAD IT COULD OF CAUSED A BLOWOUT AND POSSIBLY INJURIES OR EVEN FATALITIES. GOODYEAR IS OFFERING TO PAY 50% OF NEW GOODYEAR TIRE.

I HAVE A 2012 CHEVY CRUZ WITH A TIRE THAT KEEPS LOSING PRESSURE. THE CHEVY GARAGE TOLD ME THAT IT HAS SEVERAL MICRO HOLES AND RECOMMENDED REPLACEMENT AT $250/TIRE AND THAT I NEEDED TO BUY 2 (BECAUSE YOU CAN'T JUST REPLACE ONE). I ASKED THE TECHNICIAN HOW THIS CAN HAPPEN AND HE SAID IT'S NOTHING I DID AND THAT MICHELIN TIRES ARE KNOWN TO HAVE FLAWS SUCH AS THIS BUT NO RECALL ON MY TIRES YET. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATE 65 MPH, THE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE LIGHTS ON THE INSTRUMENTAL PANEL BECAME INOPERABLE. THE FAILURE RECURRED SIX TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE.THE VIN WAS UNABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,300.
MY 2012 CHEVY CRUZE SUDDENLY DEVELOPED VIBRATION IN THE FRONT END AS WELL AS PULLING TO THE RIGHT. PULLED OVER TO INSPECT IT AND FOUND A LARGE BULGE IN THE SIDEWALL ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE. I DROVE IT TO DISCOUNT TIRE WHERE THEY SAID IT WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AND IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THEY WONT GET INTO ANY WARRANTY/DEFECT ISSUES THEY REFERRED ME TO THE CHEVY DEALER FOR THAT. I DID HAVE THEM PUT THE OLD TIRE IN THE TRUNK. WHEN I GOT HOME I PULLED IT OUT TO LOOK AT IT AND ON THE INSIDE OF THE TIRE RIGHT WHERE THE BULGE IS THE TIRE IS CRACKED ON THE INSIDE. UGH! I CALLED CONTINENTAL AND THEY SAID I NEED TO TAKE THE CAR TO CHEVY AND HAVE THEM INSPECT THEM AND THEY WILL CONTACT CONTINENTAL TO SEE IF THEY ARE CONSIDERED DEFECTIVE. *TR
I WAS DRIVING TO WORK AROUND 6 AM MY DASH BOARD BLINKED OFF AND ON AND SHOWED AN ERROR "TRACTION CONTROL/STABILITRACK." I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AT LEAST 3 TIMES AND THEY TELL ME WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN THEIR CARE IT DOES HAPPEN. I BOUGHT A 2012 CHEVY CRUZE ECO THAT HAS 4 GOODYEAR ASSURANCE FUEL MAX TIRES ON JULY 12, 2013. I WAS DRIVING BACK HOME FROM MY PARENTS HOUSE APPROXIMATLEY 30 MILES AWAY. I GOT ABOUT 4 MILES OUT OF TOWN AND MY LOW TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON. I CHECKED THE TIRE PRESSURE SCREEN ON THE DASH AND I WAS SLOWLY LOSING TIRE PRESSURE. I MADE IT BACK HOME WITH 6 PSI OF AIR IN MY TIRE. (IT IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE 35 PSI.) I GOT HOME AND LOOKED AT THE TIRE AND IT HAS ABOUT A 3/4" CRACK ON THE OUTSIDE WALL OF THE TIRE. I PUT AIR BACK IN IT AND IT DEFLATED AGAIN PRETTY QUICK. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO STATED THAT THE CONTACT NEEDED TO REPLACE BOTH FRONT TIRES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE TIRES WERE NOT REPLACED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE OF THE VEHICLE AND THE TIRE WAS 7,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
