I NOTICED ONE DAY WHILE DRIVING THAT MY ENGINE WAS RUNNING VERY HOT. WHEN I ARRIVED TO MY DESTINATION, I POPPED THE HOOD AND DISCOVERED EXTREMELY LOW COOLANT LEVEL. ALSO NOTICED FLUID LEAKING FROM UNDER MY CAR. I TOOK IT TO A LOCAL SHOP TO BE EVALUATED. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT I NEEDED TO REPLACE MY WATER PUMP & THERMOSTAT. I AM ONLY AT 41,000 MILES.
THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON CAR STARTED BLOGGING DOWN DROPPING RPMS WHILE DRIVING, AS I CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP THE CAR WOULD DROP RPMS AND THEN GO ABOVE THEN NORMAL IDLE RPMS BUT SEEMED TO WANT TO GO WHILE MY FOOT WAS ON THE BREAK. . WHEN THE CAR IS OFF THE CODE IS READING THE THROTTLE POSITION AT 16.5% WHEN IT SHOULD BE AT ZERO! WHEN THE CAR IS ON THE THROTTLE POSITION READS AT 40% NOT 100%. IT IS A HUGE CONCERN CONSIDERING THE THROTTLE CAN GET STUCK AT ANY POINT AND THEIR GOES MY LIFE AS WELL AS MY 2 YEAR OLDS LIFE.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON 11/05 AND THAT AFTERNOON THE CAR STARTED TO IDLE HARD AND SPUTTER WHEN STOPPED. THE ERROR CODES READ FOR A MAF SENSOR; HAD THAT AND THE ENGINE AIR FILTER REPLACED, AND THE CAR STILL SPUTTERED BUT THE LIGHT WENT OUT. I PURCJASED THE CAR IN 2015, IT HAD 2300 MILES AT THE TIME, AND WOULD MAKE NOTICEABLE ENGINE NOISE SOON AFTER. I TOOK IT BACK BUT THE DEALERSHIP MECHANICS SAID THAT IT WAS A SENSOR AND NOT TO WORRY UNTIL THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON; THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT THE THE MAF. ON 11/12/2019, THE LIGHT IS ON AGAIN. ALSO, THE STABILLITRAK LIGHT COMES ON/OFF.
THE VEHICLE WAS WORKING FINE, I DROVE IT THE NIGHT PRIOR BACK HOME AND PARKED IT IN MY GARAGE LIKE I NORMALLY DO. WHEN I WENT TO LEAVE THE NEXT MORNING, THE CAR WOULD NOT START. THE ENGINE WOULDN'T EVEN TURN OVER BUT THE RADIO AND WHAT NOT WOULD TURN ON. WE TRIED JUMPING THE CAR, CHARGING THE BATTERY, CHANGING THE BATTERY OUT AND NOTHING WORKED. WE GOT IT TOWED TO THE AUTO SHOP AND THEY SAID THAT THEY COULD NOT FIX THE VEHICLE AS IT'S ELECTRICAL. WE LIVE IN THE DESERT AND THE CLOSEST DEALER IS OVER AN HOUR AWAY IN PALM SPRINGS SO NOW WE HAVE TO GET THE VEHICLE TOWED THERE, AT OUR EXPENSE, TO TRY AND GET IT LOOKED AT
ON OCTOBER 25, 2019 MY TURBO FAILED LEADING DEBRIS TO CLOG MY CATALYTIC CONVERTER LEADING IT TO FAIL AS WELL. I BOUGHT MY CAR NEW ON OCTOBER 10, 2015. SINCE BUYING IT, MY WATER PUMP FAILED TWICE, CAMSHAFT COVER REPLACED TWICE, THERMOSTAT REPLACED, OIL TUBE AND PAN REPLACED TWICE, COOLANT TUBE REPLACED ONCE. EVERY TIME I BROUGHT IT IN TO THE DEALERSHIP, I REPORTED THE CAR'S PROBLEM OF IDLING ROUGH WHILE IN DRIVE AT A STOP LIGHT OR IN PARK IN MY DRIVEWAY AND EVERY TIME, THE DEALERSHIP REPORTED THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING. WHEN I WAS TOLD MY TURBO HAD FAILED, THEY SAID THAT'S WHY MY CAR WAS IDLING ROUGH. EVERY TIME ONE OF THESE PROBLEMS OCCURRED, I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY. I AM LUCKY I WASN'T HIT OR KILLED IN ANY OF THESE INSTANCES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, AN ABNORMAL ODOR WAS DETECTED AND SMOKE APPEARED UNDER THE HOOD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO FELIX CHEVROLET (3330 S FIGUEROA ST, LOS ANGELES, CA 90007, (213) 290-1925) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TURBO ENGINE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED. THERE WAS ALSO EVIDENCE OF OIL RESIDUE BEING DISPERSED THROUGHOUT THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,841.
INTERNAL SQUEAKING SOUND WHEN IDLING OR WHEN ACCELERATING. MECHANIC COULDNT SOLVE TO RECOMMENDED GOING TO DEALERSHIP. THEY DIAGNOSED AS FAULTY IGNITION COIL AND LOOSE SPARK PLUG. I BOUGHT THE CAR USED. AFTER A FEW DAYS I HEARD A TICKING UNDER THE HOOD & ALSO WHEN I GOT TO 60 MPH I COULD FEEL VIBRATION IN THE GAS PEDAL & SOUNDED LIKE A BUMBLE BEE UNDER THE HOOD. I TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT IT FROM. THEY SAID THAT WITH THE LT1 IT OFFS COMMON NOISE FOR THE PURGE SOLENOID TO MAKE THE TICKING NOISE THAT IT WAS NORMAL. THE VIBRATION THEY SAID WAS A PEBBLE GOT UNDER MOTOR MOUNT & WAS CAUSING VIBRATION. HE GOT THE PEBBLE OUT & READJUSTED. A WEEK LATER WAS DOING IT AGAIN & THE TICKING NOISE WAS ALOT WORSE. HE FINALLY CHANGED THE PURGE SOLENOID & IT STILL TICKED BUT NOT NEARLY AS BAD. BUT HE SAID HE COULDN'T HEAR THE NOISE AT 60 MPH & ONLY A LITTLE OF THE VIBRATION IN PEDAL. I'M REALLY REGRETTING BUYING THIS CAR. IF I KNEW IT WOULD HAVE ALL THESE ISSUES I COULD OF KEPT DRIVING MY OLDER CAR WITH NO CAR PAYMENT. HE SAID THAT CHEVROLET KNEW ABOUT THE PURGE SOLENOID ISSUE BUT HAVEN'T FIXED IT. CAR HAD 87K MILES WHEN I BOUGHT IT & NOW HAS 90K. AFTER WE BOUGHT 1 OF THE SALESMEN REFERRED TO IT AS A THROW AWAY CAR. YEAH I JUST THREW AWAY 11K GETTING IT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET CRUZE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS LEAKING COOLANT/ANTI FREEZE, WHICH HAD TO BE REPLENISHED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO A WATER PUMP FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000.
CAR BEEN JERKING AND STOP ON IT'S OWN WHILE IN DRIVE I BEEN KEEPING OIL CHANGES AND EVERYTHING UP TO PART ON IT
I GOT MY CHEVY CRUZE LESS THAN 3 YEARS AGO. ON TUESDAY MY CAR TURN ON THE ENGINE LIGHT. WHEN I WAS DRIVING MY CAR STARTED SHAKING,LINKING AND SMOKING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HWY. I WENT TO THE LEADER ON THURSDAY BECAUSE I GOT SCARED. DENNY TOLD I CANNOT DRIVE MY CAR LIKE THAT FOR MY SAFETY. I LEFT MY CAR IN THE LEADERSHIP. IT'S BEING 4 DAYS WITHOUT ANSWER. MY CAR HAVE FULL GUARANTEED AND THEY OFFERED ME A COURTESY CAR. SO THERE ME WITHOUT ANSWERS AND NOT CAR. I WENT TO THE LEADER AND DENNY ANSWER IT THAT THEY DON'T KNOW WHEN THE CAR GOING TO BE FIX, BUT THAT IF I WANT I CAN TAKE THE CAR WITH ME. I JUST CAN BELIEVE NO ONE CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER SAFETY. HE TOLD ME I COULDN'T DRIVE MY CAR LIKE THAT NOW HE DOESN'T CARE IF I GET INTO AN ACCIDENT WITH A CAR THAT SHOULDN'T BE DRIVE. THEY JUST WANT ME TO APPLY FOR A NEW CAR. WHEN I DON'T NEED A NEW CAR. I FEEL MY CAR IS STILL NEW. I ONLY HAVE IT FOR 2 YEARS AND 10 MONTHS LESS THAN 75K MILES. I NEED SOMEONE TO HELP BECAUSE THIS CAR HAVE ALL THIS RECALLS AND JUST BECAUSE I'M SPANISH AND FEMALE THEY THINK I WON'T DO NOTHING ABOUT.
MY CAR STARTED SHAKING, SMOKING AND LICKING WHILE DRIVING. AT FIRST IN THE DEALER TOLD I WON'T BE ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR LIKE THAT. NOW AFTER 3 DAYS WITHOUT ANSWER THEY WANTS TO TAKE THE CAR WITHOUT FIXING THE CAR. I'M SCARE TO DRIVE A CAR THAT IS SHAKING. I'M VERY CONCERNED ABOUT MY LIFE SAFETY
VEHICLE STARTED TO DISPLAY "SERVICE STABILITRAK" ON DIC PANEL AFTER RUNNING THROUGH A PUDDLE ON A FREEWAY ONRAMP. ALSO, FROM TIME TO TIME, WHEN TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL, YOU CAN FEEL A SUDDEN JOLT OR POP (WHEEL GETS EASY TO TURN FOR A COUPLE OF INCHES OF TRAVEL). POPPING CHIEFLY HAPPENS AT SLOW SPEEDS, SUCH AS TURNING INTO A PARKING SPACE. BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER FOR SERVICE. THEY READ C0710 AND C055C CODES. ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDS A NEW STEERING GEAR. VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 40,000 MILES.
TURBO HAD TO BE REPLACED AT APPROXIMATELY 50K MILES. THE MALFUNCTION NEARLY CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT ON THE FREEWAY, AND WAS NOT DRIVABLE UNTIL FIXED. NOW, AT 73K MILES, THE VEHICLE SLOWED DOWN AFTER STUTTERING ON THE FREEWAY WHILE MY 18 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING IT HOME LAST NIGHT. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON, AND IT IS NOT DRIVEABLE AGAIN. THIS IS HOW IT ACTED THE FIRST TIME THE TURBO WENT OUT. RECENTLY I HAVE WORRIED ABOUT TURNING LEFT WHEN CARS ARE EVEN SOMEWHAT CLOSE, AS IT LOSES POWER.
WHEN STARTING THE CAR, A PREVIOUSLY USED 2015 CHEVY CRUZE LT, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE MESSAGES 'SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL' AND 'SERVICE STABILITRAK' APPEARED. WHEN DRIVING, THERE WAS A NOTICEABLE REDUCTION IN ACCELERATION POWER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET CRUZE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SPUTTERED AND WAS DIFFICULT TO CRANK. ALSO, WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND AND DID NOT MOVE. FURTHERMORE, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT CALLED TURAN FOLEY CHEVROLET BUICK (1123-B US 49, GULFPORT, MS 39503, (228) 206-0289), BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,000. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
THE SCREEN GOES BLACK SOMETIMES. THE CAR SHUTS OFF BY IT SELF. IT GIVES DIFFERENT WARNINGS ONE WAS ELECTRIC STABILITY CONTROL AND THE OTHER WAS CHECK POWER STEERING. IT HAS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING AND STATIONARY. IT HAS HAPPENED TO ME MORE THAN ONCE AND ON THE ROAD AND IN A PARKING LOT. I BROUGHT IT TO WHERE I PURCHASED IT AND THEY THOUGHT THEY FIXED IT BUT IT HAPPENED AGAIN TODAY.
CAR WAS MOVING AND IT STARTED TO LOSE POWER, THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON AS DID THE DRIVER DISPLAY WARNING. CAR HAD NO POWER AND SHUDDERED BUT DID NOT DIE. PULLED OVER AND TURNED OFF VEHICLE AND LET IT SIT FOR 5 MIN. TURNED IT BACK ON AND THE WARNING WENT AWAY, BUT SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT CAME ON SOLID AND VEHICLE STILL SHUDDERS, BUT IS DRIVEABLE, IT DOES NOT STALL. HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE IT CHECKED THIS WEEKEND.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO RUN HOT AND THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WATER OUTLET WAS BREAKING APART AND CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO RUN HOT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BEST CHEVROLET (2600 VETERANS MEMORIAL BLVD, KENNER, LA 70062, (504) 315-7790) WHERE THE DEFECT WAS OFFICIALLY DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE CHEVROLET MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
PURCHASED NEW. REPEATED FAILURES OF COOLANT RESERVOIR, REPLACE TURBOCHARGER 2X, REPLACED WATER PUMP, TANK REPLACEMENT, INTAKE MANIFOLD, VALVE COVER AND PCV PIPE, AND NOW ANOTHER FAILURE, HEAD GASKET FAILURE.
BRAKE PEDAL BECOMES HARD AFTER STARTING THE ENGINE ON OCCASION. FEELS LIKE THE BRAKE HAS A LOSS OF THE POWER ASSIST. AFTER STARTING THE CAR, PUT IT IN DRIVE, RELEASE THE BRAKE, VEHICLE BEGINS TO MOVE, APPLY BRAKE, BRAKE PEDAL BECOME VERY HARD WITH EXCESSIVE FORCE NEEDED TO STOP THE VEHICLE.
THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER NEEDS REPLACED BUT UNABLE TO BE REPLACED DUE TO VEHICLE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE
VEHICLE WAS DRIVING DOWN HIGHWAY AT 45 MILES PER HOUR WHEN I RECEIVED A CHIME ALARM TELLING ME MY CAR WAS OVERHEATED. NO WARNING BEFORE THIS OF LOW COOLANT. DIAGNOSED AS A FAILED WATER PUMP. DID A GOOGLE SEARCH AND COME TO FIND OUT SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ON THIS HAPPENING TO THIS YEAR AND MAKE OF VEHICLE. MY CAR HAS 57,000 MILES ON IT AND MANY COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN SENT OUT BY OTHERS OF THIS ISSUE. I THINK ITS TIME TO TAKE ACTION AS THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A BIG PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE. I WAS PROUD TO BUY A CHEVY CRUZE AND FEEL ASHAMED OF MYSELF FPR NOT LOOKING UP ISSUES BEFORE I BOUGHT IT.VEHICLE WENT I TO LIMP MODE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE AND COULD HAVE CAUSE A MAJOR ACCIDENT.
I have had to replace the turbo 3 times now. My car was leaking oil where the the oil filter is so I replaced that whole part. I watched a video how to replace the part. And it said in the video to remove the plastic piece from the engine oil cooler filter housing if you have a turbo because it feeds oil to your turbo. Well my car had the original part on it and the plastic piece wasn't removed causing no oil to get to the turbo. And the turbo has glowed red hot almost catching fire.
CAR OVERHEAT, THE ELECTRIC FAN ASSEMBLY WIRES MELTED AND WAS BURNING, THE FAN CEASED TO WORK, NO WARNING WAS GIVEN. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON CITY/TOWNSHIP STREETS. THE HEATER CORE IS LEAKING, SO AFTER REPLACING ALL OTHER COMPONENTS AND A PRESSURIZED TEST, THAT IS THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY FOR LEAK TO BE SEEN.
I HAD STOPPED AT THE STORE. WHEN I CAME OUT AND STARTED MY CAR. IT INSTANTLY MADE A LOUD WHISTLING NOISE. I OPENED THE HOOD NOTHING OBVIOUS. WHEN LEFT I PULLED OUT ON THE MAIN HIGHWAY AND IT STALLED. PROBLEM WAS THE PCV VALVE IN THE INTAKE MANIFOLD CAUSING SEVERAL OTHER MAJOR ISSUES AFTER THE FAILURE
WHILE DRIVING, OVERHEAT ALARM ACTIVATED. ARROW ON HOT. MESSAGE SAID TURN OFF A/C IDLE ENGINE. I TURNED OFF A/C AND PLACED INTO NEUTRAL. HOT ARROW WENT DOWN. I PULLED OVER. TURNED CAR OFF FOR 15 SECONDS. RESTARTED. DROVE HOME WITH A/C OFF FOR 5 MILES WITH NO PROBLEMS. AT HOME. ENGINE NOT HOT. FLUID LEVEL. OK. I LOOKED ONLINE AND FOUND 119 COMPLAINTS FOR SAME ISSUE FOR SAME MODEL YEAR AND DOZENS FOR OTHER YEARS. WHY NO RECALL?
DRIVING IN A TURNING LANE, AND A VEHICLE PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF ME WITHOUT LOOKING, SWERVED TO AVOID THE VEHICLE AND HIT A STATIONERY TRUCK PRETTY HARD, SUSTAINED INJURIES FROM THE ACCIDENT AND NONE OF THE AIRBAGS IN THE VEHICLE DEPLOYED. VEHICLE WAS CONSIDERED TOTALED BY THE INSURANCE.
HIT A SMALL ANIMAL AND A ROCK AND DIRT WITH FRONT END ALL AIR BAGS IN FRONT AND SIDE INFLATED EVEN THE PASSENGER SIDE THOUGH NO ONE SITTING IN THAT SEAT NEED TO KNOW IF THERE IS A RECALL MECHANIC SAID HE HAD NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THERMOSTAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. ADDITIONALLY, THERE WERE MINERAL DEPOSITS IN THE ENGINE AND ALSO THE WATER PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT THERE WAS NO PRIOR WARNING TO INDICATE THAT THE ENGINE WAS OVERHEATED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000.
CHECK AIRBAG INDICATOR ON DASH CAME ON AT 79,000 MILES
MY CHEVY CRUZE LT WILL SHOW A MESSAGE ON THE DASH READING AC OFF DUE TO HIGH ENGINE TEMP. AND ANOTHER MESSAGE SAYING ENGINE OVERHEATING IDLE ENGINE. NO MECHANIC CAN FIGURE OUT THE ISSUE AND THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN HAPPENING THE LAST TWO YEARS 2018 AND THIS YEAR 2019. MY AC IS NOT TURNED ON WHEN THIS MESSAGE APPEARS. IT TAKES ALL MY RADIATOR FLUID FROM THE RESERVOIR LEAVING MY FLUID EMPTY. THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS ONLINE THROUGH FORUMS REGARDING THE SAME PROBLEM OTHER CHEVY CRUZE OWNERS ARE HAVING AS WELL. HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM I HAVE.

MILE ON CAR 71,000 USED AS A PERSONAL CAR AND LAST 1 1/2 AS A LYFT CAR AND A PVT OFFICE WHEN I HAD TO WORK AS A SECURITY GURD AND HAD TO REMAIN IN CAR IN OPEN LOT IN MIDDLE OF WINTER STORM WITH NO HEAT ( 36 HR ON WITH A 100 MILE BACK AND FORTH TRIP TO SITE FOR A WEEKEND )
HAVE HAD TO CHANGE OUT THE THERMOSTAT THREE (3) TIMES IN ONE YEAR (MARCH 2018 TO MARCH 2019).
DRIVING MY 2015 CHEVY CRUZE LTZ RS ON A ROAD TRIP MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON DUE TO A O2 SENSOR WHICH IS NO BIG DEAL, PLANNED ON REPLACING. BUT THE NEXT MORNING THE SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL CAME ON AND AFTER DOING RESEARCH ON THIS A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS SAME THING HAPPEN TO THEM. SOME SAY A FAULTY GROUND WIRE ON THE BATTERY AND OTHERS SAY THEY HAD TO REPLACE A BUNCH OF SENSORS ON THE CAR. IT SEEMS TO NOT BE RUNNING SMOOTHLY AND DON'T WANT TO CHANGE A BUNCH OF SENSORS AND CABLES UNNECESSARILY IF GM KNOWS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND IT SEEMS LIKE A MANUFACTURER DEFECT. THERE SHOULD BE SOME KIND OF RECALL ON AT LEAST THE GROUND WIRE IF THAT IS THE PROBLEM.
ONE OF THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING. IT MOVES UP A 1/2 INCH THEN MOVES BACK DOWN. WON'T GO ANY HIGHER THAN THAT. HAPPED OUT OF NOWHERE AND THE OTHER WORKS PERFECTLY FINE. IT LOOKS LIKE A BOLT OR SOMETHING IS LOOSE.
TRIED TWICE, CAR DID NOT START. NO LIGHTS JUST DEAD. TRIED ONCE MORE STARTED, ALL LOOKED OK. DROVE 1/4 MILE ENGINE DIED WITH A CLUNK AND JERK, SERVICE POWER STEERING WARNING CAME ON, THEN SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL WARNING CAME ON. STEERED OFF ROAD (POWER STEERING WAS WORKING) PUT VEHICLE IN PARK, TRIED TO START SEVERAL TIMES. INTERIOR LIGHT CAME ON BUT WOULD NOT START. AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES TRIED AGAIN, STARTED AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS LIT. DROVE TO HOME AND WHILE IN REVERSE TO PARK, ENGINE DIED AGAIN.
MY CAR IS CONSTANTLY SHAKING AND JOLTING ITSELF FORWARD, LAGGING IN CHANGING GEARS. I HAVE PAID OVER 5000 DOLLARS IN ONE YEAR TO FIX THIS ISSUE AND EVERY TIME I FIX SOMETHING, THE LIGHT COMES BACK ON AND A NEW CODE IS BROUGHT UP. ALWAYS THE SAME PROBLEM, NEVER BEING FIXED.

MY DASHBOARD LIGHTS BEGIN FLASHING, THE RADIO TURNS OFF, THE BLINKER SOUND STOPS WORKING, THE ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM, SERVICE TRACTION SYSTEM, SERVICE STABILITRAC AND STEERING VEHICLE MESSAGES FLASH ON THE DASHBOARD. I SAW THIS ISSUE REPORTED IN A GM BULLETIN HTTPS://STATIC.NHTSA.GOV/ODI/TSBS/2015/SB-10057574-8899.PDF BUT MY DEALERSHIP SAID MY CAR ISN'T AFFECTED EVEN THOUGH IT IS THAT YEAR, MAKE, AND MODEL AND THE SAME EXACT THINGS ARE HAPPENING. IT HAPPENS WHEN I AM DRIVING, IT STARTED OFF ONCE OR TWICE A TRIP, NOW IT IS CONSTANTLY HAPPENING SO MUCH SO I CANNOT EVEN LISTEN TO MUSIC. IT SEEMS TO HAPPEN MORE OFTEN WHEN I AM IN STOP/GO TRAFFIC.
THE FRONT CRANK SHAFT SEAL IS BAD. IT MAKES THE ENGINE MAKE A VERY LOUD CHIRPING NOISE WHEN IT WARMS UP. IF YOU PULL THE OIL DIPSTICK OUT IT STOPS. I'VE HAD TO KEEP MY DIPSTICK OUT SO THAT IT DOESN'T CHIRP. IT'S CAUSING OTHER ISSUES WITH CAR. LIKE STABILITY CONTROL, FUEL MILEAGE AND HAVING TO CHANGE OIL MORE OFTEN. I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET IT FIXED BUT HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO. I'M AFRAID THAT IT IS DAMAGING THE ENGINE MORE THAN NECESSARY. FROM WHAT I'VE LEARNED CHEVY IS AWARE THAT THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH THE CRUZE. WHEN STARTING MY VEHICLE THIS MORNING MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON AND MY CAR WAS SPUTTERING WHENOT SITTING AT A LIGHT OR IDLING. WENT TO REPAIR SHOP FOR DUAGNOSIS. CAME UP WITH SEVERAL CODES. P0171- SYSTEM 2 LEAN BANK 1. SECOND CODE P0106 MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE ORESSURE/BAROMETER SENSOR, P0131 02 CIRCUIT LOW VOLTAGE BE S1. P1101 INTAKE AIR FLOW SYSTEM PERFORMANCE LOW. TCS ON. I NEED TO KNOW IF THIS COVERED BY THE VEHICLE WARRANTY.
WATER PUMP LEAKED, REPLACED THAT. HOSE TO THE WATER PUMP LEAKED, REPLACED THAT. NOW BLOWN HEAD GASKET. BREAKS HAVE SQUEAKED SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR.
WHEN GOING IN REVERSE TRIED TO PUSH ON THE BRAKE IT'S REALLY HARD YOU HAVE TO PUSH HARD BUT IT WON'T START. *TR
VEHICLE EMITS A HAZARDOUS FUME FROM THE COOLANT RESERVOIR AND ENTERS THE CABIN WHEN HEATER IS USED. THIS IS USUALLY WHEN THE HEATER IS ON PARKED OR DRIVING. USUALLY AFTER THE CAR HAS HEATED UP TO NORMAL STANDARD.
WHILE DRIVING I NOTICED MY VEHICLE WASN'T GIVING OUT MUCH HEAT, I WAS FREEZING AND I EVEN LET MY CAR HEAT UP BEFORE LEAVING. SOON A WARNING LIGHT CAME ON SAYING "AC OFF DUE TO HIGH ENGINE TEMP" IT WAS THEN I LOOKED AND NOTICED MY TEMPERATURE GAGE AND REALIZED MY CAR WAS OVERHEATING. I GOT IT HOME SHUT IT OFF AND THE FAN WAS STILL GOING. SO I STARTED MY CAR AGAIN, LOOKED AT THE GAGES TO SEE THAT EVERYTHING WAS NORMAL. I PROCEEDED TO TURN MY CAR BACK OFF AND THIS TIME THE FANS TURNED OFF. DOING SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND THAT THERE ARE MANY CASES IN WHICH THIS IS HAPPENING WITH OTHER 2015 MODELS AND ALSO WITHIN 2014 BACK TO 2012. HOPING THIS IS AN ISSUE CHEVY CAN MAKE RIGHT.
TAKATA RECALL. THE PROBLEM IS OUR WATER PUMP. THE CAR ONLY HAS 63,000 MILES ON IT. WE HAD IT FIXED BY A MECHANIC BUT CAN STILL SMELL ANTIFREEZE THE SAME SMELL WHEN THE WATER PUMP WENT OUT AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME BACK ON. HOPEFULLY YOU PEOPLE CAN FIGURE THIS OUT OR IF THERE ARE MORE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE IT COST US A LOT OF MONEY AND HAD TO CANCEL APPOINTMENTS BECAUSE OF IT. THE CAR WAS BEING DRIVEN BY MY WIFE ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN SHE NOTICED SHE DIDN'T HAVE ANY HEAT PULLED INTO A DRIVEWAY AND SAW LOTS OF FLUID AROUND THE ENGINE WITH A STRONG SMELL OF ANTIFREEZE.
CHEVROLET AND PONTIAC CANNOT DO A DIAGNOSTIC UNLESS WE PAY THE COST ON WHAT EVER VEHICLE BEING RECALLED. THEY TOLD US TO SCHEDULE A DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND PAY FOR IT AND ANY NECESSARY REPAIRS ALSO. THEY ALSO SAID THE VEHICLES WARRANTIES HAS EXPIRED. SO THE DEFECTS ARE THE CUSTOMERS FAULT FOR PURCHASING THEIR PRODUCTS. THEY HAVE US PENDING FOR AND UNKNOWN REASON. WHEN THEY FIRST CALLED THEY DID MENTION A $500.00 VOUCHER OR A NEW CAR, BUT THAT CAME TO PASS ALSO. SOMEONE NAME .... REGIONAL SUPERVISOR TOLD US THAT, AND IT WAS ALL LIES.
