The number one cylinder piston cracked causing it to idle rough and possibly blowing up causing the car to come to a stop. The problem has been reproduced and confirmed by a licensed Chevy dealer/ repair shop. Was told that it’s a common problem with the car and also told that it will just explode
It started with a check engine light stating I needed to replace a fuel injector. I had that replaced and continued to have the same problem. I had a compression test performed and stated that I had a cracked cylinder leaking compression in cylinder one. The engine needs to be replaced or rebuilt. As you can imagine that is expensive. After finding this out, I continued to drive the vehicle hoping to get a new a vehicle. I was unable to and the vehicle stalled on me while driving several times. This put my safety in jeopardy as I could've have gotten hurt on the road and other safety if I got hit. Luckily, neither happened. General motors intentionally inflates the PSI in the engine to compensate for the turbo engine, resulting in the breakdown of the engine quicker and makes it unsafe for the road. In my case, I just bought this vehicle a year ago and has under 100k miles. I have been unable to get a GM technician to diagnose the vehicle due to finance reasons. After research, this is common issue with my vehicle and I am reporting this issue.
I purchased a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze RS Premier hatchback from Mastria Kia in Raynham, MA in January 2023 and it was missing the rear seat headrests (they were neither installed in their OEM position or in the car upon delivery). I would like to know if this is a violation of NHTSA regulations. To date, they have been unwilling to provide the proper headrests as installed by the Original Equipment Manufacturer. Thank you.
I HAVE A 2017 CHEVY CRUZE, WITH 38,000 MILES. MY PISTON CYLINDER IS BROKEN. I HAD BOUGHT IT OFF A DEALERSHIP WITH 24000 MILES ON IT4 YEARS AGO. AT 38000 MILES WITH ONLY PUTTING VERY LITTLE MILEAGE ON IT, I HAVE TO HAVE THE ENGINE REPLACED WHICH IS A VERY EXPENSIVE FIX. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO HAVE TO HAVE MY WHOLE ENGINE REPLACED AT 38,000 MILES. I HAVE DONE MY RESEARCH AND THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE 2017 CRUZES. THIS IS SUPPOSE TO MAKE A GREAT FAMILY, REALIABLE CAR! I AM VERY UPSET WITH CHEVY! THERE WAS NO PRIOR WARNINGS OF MY CYLINDER PISTON BREAKING. STABILITY SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON AND IMMEDIENTLY AFTER THE ENGINE LIGHT DID TOOK IT TO A SHOP THE NEXT DAY. AND MY CYLINDER IS BROKEN. WITH LABOR IT IS EASIER TO JUST REPLACE THE WHOLE ENGINE. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED! I WAS DRIVING WITH MY KIDS WHEN THIS HAPPENED. LUCKY MY CAR ENGINE DIDNT BLOW UP IN THE PROCESS AND I WAS ABLE TO GET HOME SAFELTY!
Clutch pedal does not return, cannot change gears. Chevy issued a TSB, however they do not warranty the repair. The problem is with a clogged orifice which is a engineering defect. This is a well know problem and is extremely dangerous. I assume enough people haven't died yet from this issue for a recall.
Chevy Cruze 2017 manual transmission clutch pedal stuck to the floor while driving preventing changing of gears. Was able to lift pedal with toe, but was still not fully able to then depress clutch to get the car in gear. Pumping the pedal helped loosen and eventually allowed it to work normally temporarily. For the past year, occasionally the clutch would be slow to return after depressing, but did not cause any safety issue and since it could not be reproduced for dealer, no repairs were made. Having an experience of not being unable to change gears in traffic caused a significant safety issue, which will need to be remedied. Appointment for service is scheduled for tomorrow and will find out more what the problem is, but based on online forums, it likely is a faulty slave cylinder which has been reported in other Chevy Cruze cars of this year.
The car shut down in the middle of the highway which made me pull to the side and not so long after this incident the brakes stopped working for some time causing me to crash.
The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated while driving 25 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the spark plugs and ignition coils were replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that there was a misfire in cylinder #1. The vehicle was taken to another independent mechanic and the contact was informed that the piston was fractured, and the engine block needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.
Once my Chevrolet Cruze equipped with the 1.6liter diesel engine and 9T50 transmission reached 120,000 miles it stopped shifting into the 9th speed. I had Jones Chevrolet (local GM dealer) flush the transmission at their request. Apparently the transmission filter is basically impossible to replace unless pulling the transmission out and taking the transmission apart. This problem still exists and after doing some research it seems that GM knows of the problem and changed the torque converter and transmission pump in later years.
My Chevy Cruze LT Hatchback has an acceleration issue. I’ve read blogs where people complain of the same problem. There is a delay from the time you press the acceleration peddle to when the vehicle actually responds. This is dangerous because in the time it takes for the car to respond to the acceleration, oncoming traffic could collide with me causing an accident. I’ve had more than a few ‘near misses’ because of this issues. Something needs to be done about this before someone gets killed over it.
Have filed an earlier complaint and never heard back. But the engine was stalling and not maintaining speed without heavy acceleration. First week of August 2022 the car finally gave out after diagnosis of faulty knock sensor. Was displaying knock sensor code intermittently and finally stayed on. Anyway first week of august it stalled completely at a stop sign and would not crank back up. I finally started checking relays and found the engine functions relay faulty by accident. There are two square grey relays under the hood in the fuse block. One says engine function s relay and one says something to do with defrost controls. Had to swap the two relays to get my car running. No problems since. Only had 87,000 miles on car.
During rain or carwash, water leaks into rear passenger cabin along ceiling. Suspect coming from cracked rear third brake light which is a known Cruze issue that may also cause battery issues. My third brake light has two cracks (one on each side).
Faulty knock sensor at 83k miles. First symptoms were slow/jerky acceleration and needing to apply more pressure to the gas pedal to maintain speed, followed by illuminated Check engine light that came on a few days later. The scanner at Autozone pulled the code P0325. Improper detonation regulation is dangerous. This vehicle has been well maintained but needed all four pistons replaced after 60k miles and the cause of the piston damage is unknown. In this vehicle’s history is also intermittent stalling and the vehicle turning completely off after idling, but dealership could not reproduce either issue. Those problems appeared early in the vehicle’s life/well within warranty.
While driving down the Interstate my clutch failed and remained on the floor and I was unable to shift. Luckily there was an open lane next to me and I was able to pull off the highway. I checked the fluid reservoir it was full and no air bubbles I managed to limp it home after manually hand pumping the clutch to get it back up and I would get two or three shifts out of it maybe and then have to do it again once I was forced to stop at a light or a stop sign. I just have not been able to get the car in as it is out of warranty and I'll have to pay for tow and for it to be fixed. I just had the engine replaced (under extended warranty) roughly 5000 miles ago. There was no accident but there certainly could have been a Harry Chapin type situation. There were no warning lights or messages that appeared and the clutch is currently inoperable on the floor.
The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that while idling or while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would hesitate while attempting to accelerate. The check engine warning light illuminated and turbocharger under boost message was displayed. The failure recurred several times. The failure was independently corrected after driving for a while; however, the self-correction was intermittent. The contact stated that whenever the vehicle failed to self-correct the contact would have the vehicle towed. The vehicle had been taken to several independent mechanics who diagnosed the turbocharger under boost had failed and needed to be replaced along with an unknown part. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 123,370.
POWER TRAIN, PREMATURE MALFUNCTIONED ENGINE PISTONS, LOW SPEED, CHEVY SHAKE. AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION AT JOSEPH CHEVROLET ON COLERAIN AVE CINCINNATI, OH. MY SAFETY AND SAFETY OF OTHERS WAS COMPROMISED DUE TO LACK OF EXCELRATION , LOW COMPRESSION.PROBLEM IDENTIFIED BY JOSEPH CHEVROLET DEALER SERVICE WRITER CODY. IDENTIFIED . THE WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON FOR THE STABILITY TRAK AND THE ENGINE APPROXIAMETLY APRIL. 2022.
The car stopped Communicating with the computer and the antilock brake system there was no morning and it’s hard for me their break in my car be going faster going to slow down my foots not on the pedal
Slave cylinder failed on manual transmission/transaxle where you cannot get vehicle out of gear which is a huge safety issue especially with the rampant traffic added to congestion on freeways. It’s frustrating because it seems this has been a common issue with most manual transmission/transaxels which is why GM selected to not produce any more manual Chevrolet Cruze’s. They later on discontinued the Cruze because the vast issues in design with the vehicle. Not only have I had this issue but I also have had diesel exhaust fluid, diesel particulate filter, and air cleaner issues. I’m hoping that enough people have submitted this complaint for GM to do a recall as it’s a $2000 job for the dealer to fix the issue as well as almost getting in a traffic incident.
The car acts as if it’s going to stall at every stop light and stop sign. It is slow to start and several times in the middle of a turn it just acts as if it stops.
The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated the service stability trac and check engine warning lights were illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the spark plugs, turbo boost sensor, and mass air flow sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred a week later. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 90,761.
At only 30,682 miles my 2017 Chevrolet Cruze suffered extensive failure in the braking system. This was first indicated by a low brake fluid warning. Initially I added brake fluid but warning returned two weeks later along with noticeable travel in the brake pedal. On February 22 the dealership found leaks at all four wheel calipers and rusted and grooved scratches on rotors. The car had been serviced only at this dealership and thus far had only routine maintenance along with replacement of two O2 sensors under warranty. Having lost confidence in GM I had a second opinion to confirm and repair done elsewhere for $2,293.18.
The service airbag light came on, car has not been in any accidents or fender bender, service airbag message came on and took it to dealership and they mentioned that the sensor went out on its own and that the airbag will not deploy on the passenger side if we happen to get into an accident. Will not pass inspections and dangerous to drive like this.
The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze. While refueling, the contact discovered that cracks had formed on both sides of the middle brake light housing. She then noticed that water from the cracks had leaked into the top rear headliner of the vehicle. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer where they confirmed the failure and provided her an estimate for the repair. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle has been repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000. Consumer paid $312.82 for the repairs.
Car has a lot of difficulty accelerating even when pressing on the gas all the way to start to go. Car rolls back when stopped. Brakes sometimes aren’t working as they should. Car isn’t breaking properly. Doesn’t stop all the way sometimes. When driving the car also, burning smell comes from under the hood after stopping the car. Please help!
While driving I went to downshift. When I pushed in the clutch it wouldn't go out and I couldn't get the vehicle into any gear. I was driving approx. 65 mph and since the clutch wouldn't disengage I couldn't get the vehicle into any gear and was almost rear ended. GM has a TSB out for what they are saying this issue is PIP5558C with a faulty dampener between the clutch master and slave cylinders.
Douglas all seasons is usually sold in Walmart is a good brand but there's some times that are just goes out of it completely when it hits a tire or nail and can cause a major accident and doing the time whenever the potholes you can barely feel if your tire has air in it and another thing is very hard to get that tire off of your vehicle and you have to be to have a special tool or something like that in order to take that tire off and it don't always erupt with a regular air pump outside and you have to try to rush to a detour somewhere to get are so I kind of feel like it's an inconvenience having that type of tire or vehicle I usually purchase for room they run between the amount of $55 all the way up to 65 what tire rotation I think the warranty is up to like 3 months the warranty is up to 3 months or a year depending on how much you spend
I purchase this car in 2017 apprentices 2017 Cruze at the time it only have four thousand miles it has 80,000 MI it was a fuel injector pump replaced next to the engine at everybody there knew that the car was defective due to the fact that they have several men that don't know what they're doing and working on these cars are unprofessional workers and everybody here knows that they keep repairing cars and they need to send them back to the manufacturer for DFCS and numerous problems they said everybody here got nothing but junk cars and they need help to replace them immediately in this car the cruise and the Malibu the odometer kept sticking and going bad and they did replace it once and then they replaced it again and they left the park open in the vehicle you always have to get so many oil changes with this and then the one-time the Auto stop feature had got stuck on a train track and it was very hard to get that car off we had got frightened and had jumped off the car over here in Milwaukee off of 2nd street or 1st Street we're trying to report whatever we can so I can get a replacement vehicle or sometimes the rear camera was defective to it didn't always come on right away
The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated while shifting from first to second gear, the clutch was depressed and remained on the floorboard. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to drive without shifting gears to his residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
I was going in to a turning lane and as I was about to press the brake, I see a service brake assist system and I go to press the brakes and the brakes make a clicking sound and the car would not stop forcing me to take the car off the road onto the grass to avoid hitting the car in front of me. I restarted the vehicle and the brakes began working fine.
Third rear brake light on my Chevy Cruze hatchback broke off from its mount, and is now dangling against the rear window glass, obstructing the view, obstructing the rear windshield wiper from being able to operate, and held on by nothing but the wiring. It is at risk of falling off into the road, makes the car less visible to drivers while braking, and obscures my view out of the back window, especially when it is raining, as I can no longer use the wiper. It is unable to be reattached without replacing the entire rear spoiler (approximately $1,000 repair according to multiple dealerships I have contacted, with photographs), and it is a manufacturer defect, not caused by outside force. It appears the bolts that hold the spoiler in were over-torqued at the factory, causing excess stress on the plastic holes they mount into, as the plastic surrounding both mounting holes cracked.
Cylinder 1 experienced cracking due to Low Speed Pre-Ignition (LSPI, commonly referred to as “Knock”) just after exiting the highway in a 70 mph zone and produced a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) code of P0301. As evidenced in Attachment 1, this caused damage to the Antilock Braking System due to loss of vacuum on the system and possible fouling due to foreign object damage to the vehicle ABS. Later assessment by trained mechanics determined the root cause was due to insufficient structural capability of engine pistons to withstand brief periods of LSPI. As evidenced by attachment 18-NA-171 and PIP5490, the vehicle manufacturer (General Motors) is aware of the insufficient design of the pistons, has re-designed them to withstand LSPI, however has not made an effort to notify me or replace the existing part to prevent damage to the vehicle powertrain and ABS. While this particular instance of piston cracking due to LSPI has only had a financial impact on myself, loss of ABS functionality and potential engine seizure at highway speeds have the potential to produce dangerous, if not fatal, conditions to other drivers with similar hardware.
The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated while driving 40 mph, the hood latch opened independently and damaged the windshield, side fenders and roof. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to drive to her residence. The contact called the local dealer and was referred to the manufacturer. The vehicle was not repaired but was pending repairs. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure and filed a complaint. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.
Third brake light cracked and letting water in my trunk. Where my battery and other electrical components are located.
The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the contact observed a 1-inch crack in the third brake light. The contact stated that there was condensation leaking into the interior of the vehicle near the pillar loop of the seat belt, onto the floor near the retractor of the rear passenger’s seat belt. Additionally, the contact observed condensation in the trunk of the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
BRAKE PEDAL SINKS SLOWLY TO FLOOR AND BRAKES REQUIRE A STRONGER SHOVE TO ACTIVATE. THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES ON FIRST DRIVE AFTER CAR WAS STATIONARY. SEEMS NORMAL AFTER THAT AT THIS TIME. CAR HAS A MANUAL TRANSMISSION WHICH SHARES A CLUTCH & BRAKE FLUID SYSTEM. CAR HAS ALREADY HAD CLUTCH SYSTEM REPAIRED DUE TO FLUID LEAK AND DEBRIS FROM CLUTCH RELEASE COMPONENT. EUROPEAN RECALL OF SIMILAR MODEL INCLUDES REPLACING BRAKE COMPONENTS AS WELL AS CLUTCH COMPONENTS.
THE CLUTCH PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR WITHOUT DISENGAGING CLUTCH. THIS HAPPENED IN MY DRIVEWAY BEFORE STARTING THE TRIP, AND THERE WAS NO COLLISION OR INJURY AT THIS TIME. I READ THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH THESE CARS, AND THAT IT HAS CAUSED HAZARDOUS SITUATIONS IN TRAFFIC FOR OTHERS, AND THAT FOR A SIMILAR EUROPEAN MODEL IT IS THE SUBJECT OF A SAFETY RECALL IN EUROPE.
WHEN VEHICLE IS SITTING IN AUTO-STOP MODE, RELEASING THE BRAKE AND PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL WILL RANDOMLY CAUSE VEHICLE TO STALL. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO DIFFERENT CHEVROLET DEALERSHIPS AND NO ONE CAN FIGURE OUT THE CAUSE OF IT AND THEY CANNOT REPLICATE THE ISSUE. (THE MECHANICS ARE NOT DRIVING THE VEHICLE LONG ENOUGH FOR IT TO HAPPEN.) THIS HAPPENS MORE OFTEN DURING SUMMER MONTHS, BUT HAS HAPPENED OVER THE 2020 WINTER. I HAVE TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK, TURN IT OFF AND BACK ON TO GET THE CAR MOVING. THIS IS ESPECIALLY DANGEROUS IF I AM TRYING TO TURN IN FRONT OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC.
THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT'S AND POPPED HARD SOME OF THE TIMES, FROM PARKED INTO REVERSE OR FROM DRIVE INTO REVERSE MODE, ONLY INTO REVERSE THO NOT IN ANY OTHER GEAR JUST REVERSE, BUT IT'S NOT ALL THE TIME THAT IT HAPPENS ETHIER ONCE OR TWICE A DAY, EVERY TIME I DRIVE AROUND TOWN THAT SAME DAY. COULD MY TRANSMISSION BE GOING OUT ?
VEHICLES COMES WITH A ENGINE STOP ON/OFF THAT CAN'T BE TURNED OFF. WHAT THIS DOES IS THAT IT 'TURNS OFF' THE ENGINE WHEN IDLING TO SAVE GAS. WHAT HAPPENS IS THAT THIS ENGAGES EVEN BEFORE BRAKE PRESSURE HITS 100%. SO WHEN IN AN UPHILL OR DOWNHILL AND COMING TO A STOP THE CAR TENDS TO SHUT DOWN WHEN IT REACHES LOW SPEEDS. HOWEVER, WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE CAR STARTS ROLLING AND YOU CAN'T STEER CORRECTLY BECAUSE POWER STEERING IS TURNED OFF. THIS CREATES A SAFETY HAZARD BECAUSE IT ENGAGES BEFORE PRESSURE IS 100% CAUSING THE CAR TO SHUT DOWN EARLY AND YOU START ROLLING UNEXPECTEDLY WITHOUT ANY POWER STEERING. VEHICLE WAS APPROACHING A RED LIGHT IN A SLIGHT UPHILL. CAR ROLLED FROM :34-:50 SECONDS BACKWARD. I RE GAINED CONTROL OF NY CAR ONCE I LET GO COMPLETELY OFF MY BRAKE(THIS CAUSES THE AUTO STOP ON/OFF TO DISENGAGE)
With no warning the engine 1t through a Stabletrac warning engine code and moments later BIG orange lettered notice showed something to effect of 'extreme low oil turn off engine!' and at the same moment the low oil indicator turned on. We pulled off the freeway immediately and discovered oil all over the engine and of course smoke everywhere - fortunately it did not catch fire. Checking this was a catastrophic loss of ALL the oil. It may be a completely other situation but 1 month previous ~ 1000 miles previous, that same BOGUS stabletrac msg was displayed and the car went on limp mode. Dealer determined very low oil level is cause! NOTE - it does not indicate low oil. It has never consumed oil. It does not drip anywhere and NO smoke. So this is quite a mystery. He reset the codes and serviced the oil. I was due for a formal recheck about now, a 1000 miles later. On this trip (about a 1000 miles I checked the oil level to start and there was full level, so again no indications of consumption. The Vehicle has but 80k miles. There is something very flawed in this engine to fail so early and so catastrophically. Thats dangerous on multiple levels.
2017 CHEVROLET CRUZE WITH 28,751 MILES IS CONTINUALLY LOSING ALL GAUGE FUNCTIONS, AIR CONDITIONING, RADIO, TURN SIGNALS AND EMERGENCY FLASHERS ARE AFFECTED. PROBLEM ORIGINALLY SURFACED IN LATE 2017 WITH ABOUT 12,000 MILES WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS ON THE HIGHWAY. THE NEXT DAY VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AUTO NATION CHEVROLET AND DEALER ADVISED TO RETURN THE CAR WHEN THE PROBLEM REOCCURRED, ABOUT A WEEK LATER THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP WITH THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED BUT I WAS NOT ADVISED OF WHAT CAUSED THE MALFUNCTION AND PROBLEM DID NOT REOCCUR UNTIL 1/27/21 THE VEHICLE WAS LEFT UNUSED OVERNIGHT AND NEXT MORNING VEHICLE DID NOT HAVE THE MALFUNCTION. THE PROBLEM REAPPEARED ON 2/10/21 AND WHILE FILMING THE OCCURRENCE THE MALFUNCTION CLEARED AND VEHICLE WAS ONCE AGAIN OPERATIONAL. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY IN THE LAST 2 INCIDENTS BUT THE PROBLEM ORIGINALLY OCCURRED VARIOUS TIMES WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. TO THIS DATE I DO NOT KNOW WHAT CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO LOSE ALL GAUGE AND OTHER VEHICLE FUNCTIONS. I HAVE VIDEOS OF THE OCCURRENCES AND I AM SUBMITTING SCREEN SHOTS FROM THE VIDEOS ALL OF WHICH ARE WITH THE IGNITION ON AND ENGINE RUNNING. THE 4TH SCREENSHOT SUBMITTED SHOWS WHEN THE DISPLAY IS RETURNING TO NORMAL WHILE THE PROBLEM EXISTED ON 2/10/2021.
I HAVE TWO COMPLAINTS ON ONE IS OF ALL THE LEAVES THAT ARE ON THE STREETS IN THE MONTHS FROM SEPTEMBER ON THE WAY TO DECEMBER AND WE CONFIRM THE LEAVES GATE WHERE THEY HAVE ALL KINDS OF SOLUTIONS FOR HIM AND THEY ARE LEFT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREETS FOR PEOPLE TO SWIPE INTO A POLE SOMETIMES LOSE LOSE IT ALL OVER AND THEN CAUSE MAJOR ACCIDENT ON ANYTHING THAT THERE IS ALSO A SENSIBLE DELAYS IN A BAG OR IN A BOX SO IF YOU WANNA END IT BECAUSE THERE ARE TOO MANY LEAVES THEY GET INTO TOWN USE ANY BECOME VERY SICK AND HOME AND FOR YOU TO CONTROL OR STEEL WHEELS WHEN YOURE DRIVING ANOTHER THING IS WHEN YOURE TRYING TO GET ACROSS MAJOR INTERSECTIONS YOURSELF 15 IN OAK CREEK AND ALSO ON BLUEMOUND ROAD IN BROOKFIELD SHOWING PEDESTRIAN CAN GET INJURED BECAUSE ITS VERY HOW DO YOU TRAFFIC THAT COMES THROUGH THERE IN YOUR EXIT IN THE HIGHWAY AND I REFUSE TO BE ANY NEED TO MOVE THE EXIT UP FROM WHERE MULTIPLE PEDESTRIAN I CANT CROSS IN GOING TO THE MALL AND THE COST TO GO OVER TO THE HOTELS ALSO I NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT THE WORST OF THE SHOVEL .ITS HARD FOR PEDESTRIANS AS WELL AS BUS DRIVERS TO GET ACROSS THE STREET BECAUSE THERES SUCH A PERFECT AND I DONT WANT TO SLOW DOWN AND I DONT WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY GET INTO THE PLACE IS SAFE WERE ASKING TO BE PUT UP SIGNAGE IN HIGH TRAFFIC AREAS IN THE 20150 W. BLUEMOUND INN ON 63RD AND 60 S. LOOTING PUTTING A MAJOR SONGS FOR DRIVERS TO SLOW DOWN THIS WEEK OR IF THEY CAN MOVE THE EXIT SO THEY DONT ENTER OTHER PEDESTRIANS THANK YOU ALSO SO BUS DRIVERS CAN CHANGE LANES WITHOUT WHATEVER HAPPENED TO RUSSELL RID OF HICCUPS PEDESTRIANS BECAUSE ITS VERY HARD FOR CITY PUBLIC TRANSIT TO GET THROUGH OTHER LANES WHILE DRIVING YES AND IT ALSO LEADS TO MAJOR CRASHES WITH CITIZENS BEING IN A HURRY AND THEY NEED TO MAKE A HUGE INSURANCE CROSS AT THE CROSS LIGHT AND THAT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREETS AND THEY ALSO NEED WALKING SIGNS WITH NOISE SO THEY CAN HEAR AND SEE CITIZENS WHO ARE GOING TO GRAB THE STREETS BECAUSEL OF THE DOWNSTAIRS
I WAS DRIVING CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I IMMEDIATELY DROVE CAR HOME. GOT TENTAL. CALLED MY WARRANTY COMPANY HAD CAR TOWED TO GARAGE. HARAGEVIS MOT QUALIFIED TO REPLACE TURBO ENGINE. WAITING TIL MORNING TO FIX.
CAME TO A STOP AT THE STOP SIGN WE CAR WOULDN'T ACCELERATE TAP THE GAS PEDAL WOULD ACCELERATE SO I PRESSED HARDER THEN CAR TAKE OFF PRESSED BREAKS CAR WOULD STOP TELL I CRASHED
AT AROUND 57,000 MILES SERVICE STABILITRACK MESSAGE DISPLAYED ON DASHBOARD. NEXT DAY CEL CAME ON. ROUGH IDLING. TOOK IT TO CLOSEST CHEVY DEALER TOLD IT WAS A MISFIRE IN CYLINDER 1. NEW SPARK PLUGS AND COIL PACK. DIDN'T FIX. RAN COMPRESSION TEST AND LOW COMPRESSION ON THAT CYLINDER (110 VS 220 IN OTHER 3 CYLINDERS). TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WE PURCHASED IT FROM AND FOR SURE IT'S A PISTON. REPLACING ALL 4 PISTONS N SEALS UNDER OUR WARRANTY.
CLUTCH PEDAL BECAME REALLY SOFT. AT ONE POINT, IT HAD NO RESISTANCE AT ALL. I COULD NOT CHANGE GEARS WHEN THE CAR WAS ON, BUT I COULD CHANGE GEARS WHEN THE CAR WAS OFF. THE PEDAL WAS EVEN STUCK TO THE FLOOR AND WOULD NOT COME BACK AT ALL. AFTER BEING TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP, THE CLUTCH WAS BACK TO NORMAL, BUT NOTHING WAS DONE TO THE CAR. I BELIEVE SOMETHING FROM THE TOW TRUCK MAY HAVE UNSTUCK SOMETHING. NOW THE CLUTCH PEDAL HAS A WEIRD FEELING. SOMETIMES THERE IS NO RESISTANCE BUT WHEN I PRESS IT A FEW TIMES, I GET SOME PRESSURE BACK. THE 'SWEET SPOT' KEEPS MOVING.
WITH LESS THAN 25,000 MILES ON THIS LEASED VEHICLE ALL FOUR BRAKE ROTORS WERE RUSTED TO THE POINT OF DETERIORATION AND CHIPPING. THE RUST WAS SO THICK AND ROUGH THAT IT WAS GRINDING AWAY THE PADS WITH STOPPING ABILITY SERIOUSLY DIMINISHED. ONE REAR BRAKE PAD WAS GROUND DOWN TO THE METAL SURFACE. THE DEALER WOULD NOT WARRANTY THE ROTORS AS BRAKES ARE CONSIDERED NORMAL VEHICLE MAINTENANCE. IN FACT , I WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE MANAGER THAT AN EQUINOX WAS IN HIS SHOP WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. THAT VEHICLE'S MILEAGE WAS 19,000. THE CONDITION OF THESE ROTORS WAS ANYTHING BUT NORMAL, AS THOUGH THEY WERE MANUFACTURED USING A POOR QUALITY AND /OR POROUS MATERIAL. ON AVERAGE VEHICLE ROTORS LAST UP TO 50,000 MILES AND THROUGH TWO SETS OF BRAKE PADS. MY CLAIM IS THAT THESE SEVERELY RUSTED ROTORS ARE A SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO THE DIMINISHED STOPPING ABILITY, COMPARED TO THE SMOOTH SURFACE A ROTOR IS INTENDED TO MAINTAIN.
The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated while driving 60 mph, the brake pedal had to forcefully be depressed with both feet to slow the vehicle down while coming to a stop. The contact stated that the brake assist warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not drivable. The contact towed the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the brake assist vacuum pump to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but experienced the failure a second time. The contact took the vehicle back to the local dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The repair was pending. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
OPENED TRUNK TODAY AFTER CAR WAS PARKED IN A PARKING UNCOVERED IN A NORMAL RAIN (NOT HEAVY OR SEVERE WEATHER) AND WATER WAS IN TRUNK AROUND THE BOTTOM GASKET SEAL AND DIP WHERE THE TRUNK LATCH IS. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION THE WATER HAS LEAKED INTO THE BOTTOM OF THE TRUNK WHERE THE SPARE TIRE AND BATTERY IS AND THE TRUNK LINER IS SOAKED AT THE BOTTOM WHERE IT COMES IN CONTACT WITH THE SEAL WHEN CLOSED. UNSURE AS TO WHERE THE LEAK IS HAPPENING AS NOTHING ELSE FEELS WET AROUND THE SEALS.
64,000 MILES, CAR STARTED SPUTTERING, SERVICE STABILITRAC AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS CAME ON. DEALERSHIP SAID PISTON RING BROKE AND SCORED THE CYLINDER WALL BEYOND REPAIR. NEED TO REPLACE ENGINE.
