I WAS ON AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY. THE AUTO IN FRONT OF ME CHANGED LANES AND I ACCELERATED TO GO PAST THE AUTO. THE ACCELERATOR STUCK TO THE FLOORBOARD AND WOULD NOT RELEASE EVEN AFTER REPEATED ATTEMPTS TO TRY AND GET IT TO RESPOND. I WAS ABLE TO SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL WHILE THE ENGINE WAS STILL AT FULL ACCELERATION. I WAS ABLE TO CHANGE LANES AND GLIDED TO A STOP IN THE EMERGENCY LANE. WHERE I WAS ABLE TO GET THE ACCELERATOR TO DISENGAGE. I WAS VERY LUCKY THE TRAFFIC PATTERN ALLOWED ME TO TAKE EVASIVE ACTION TO AVOID A COLLISION. THE ACCELERATOR IS AN ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.
CAR OVERHEATS AND COOLANT LEAKS OUT OF NO WHERE. HEAD GASKET BLOWS HAVE BEEN REPORTED MULTIPLE TIMES ON THIS VEHICLE. NOT SAFE TO DRIVE ESPECIALLY WHEN ENGINE LIGHT STARTS BLINKING AND CAR SHAKES LIKE CRAZY DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY.
DRIVING DOWN STREET WHILE ATTEMPTING TO TURN LEFT HEARD LOUD POP AND THEN WASN'T ABLE TO TURN AND CRASHED INTO TREE LEFT FENDER HOOD HEADLIGHT ALL PUSHED DAMAGE TO TIRE AND ON TOP OF THAT AIRBAG DIDN'T IMPLORE AND HIT HEAD ON THE POST
ABS PULSATES BY ITSELF WHILE DRIVING MAKING IT HARD TO STOP WHEN I NEED TO. WHEN I DO PUSH DOWN ON THE BRAKES IT PUSHES BACK PREVENTING ME FROM STOPPING QUICKLY OR AT ALL. AFTER A WHILE DRIVING LIKE THIS THE ABS TRACTION LIGHT COMES ON AND STAYS ON UNTIL I TURN IT OFF AND THEN IT HAPPEN ALL OVER AGAIN. I HAVE BEEN TO THE DEALER TO HAVE IT FIX BUT THE PROBLEM KEEPS REOCCURRING. IN 2012 THE CAR JUST STOP ON THE ROAD THAT WASN'T BRAKE RELATED CAUSING US TO GET HIT FROM BEHIND AND THE AIRBAG DIDN'T DEPLOY. THE CAR NOW IS HAVE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WHERE IT SEEMS LIKE ONE THING IS FAILING AFTER ANOTHER. FOR EXAMPLE SIDE MIRRORS DON'T WORK, REAR WINDSHIELD WIPER STOP WORKING, AIRBAG NEVER DEPLOYED. *TR
I JUST READ THRU SOME OF THESE COMPLAINTS ANS IT SEEM THAT CHEVY IS HAVING THE SANE THING HAPPEN WHEN ITS COMING TO THIS 05 EQUINOX. I JUST GOT CAR ABOUT 4 MONTHS AGO AND ITS GOING THRU THE SAME THING. IM BEING TOLD ITS MY GASKETS BUT ITS SHOWING NO SIGNS THAT ITS BLOWN. IM SO FRUSTRATED BECAUSE THE 90 DAYS IS XPIRED AND I CANT RUN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED IT FROM. AND NOW TO FIND THAT CHEVREOLET IS NOT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGING THAT FACT THAT THIS IS GOING ON WITH A VEHICLE CREATED BY THEM. THIS IS SO UNFAIR TO CONSUMERS WHO SPEND THE MONEY TO GET THE CAR BUT CANT EVEN GET THE PROPER RESPONSE FROM THE COMPANY FOR THIS ISSUE. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW JUST HOW MANY COMPLAINTS DOES IT TAKE FOR CHEVEY TO RESPOND TO THIS, I KNOW I COUNTED AT LEAST A HUNDRED...I KNOW WE TAKE CHANGES WHEN BY A USED CAR BUT AT LEAST DO A RECALL ON THIS BECAUSE IT TO MANY PEOPLE PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE UNKNOWING WHAT PROBLEMS THEY WILL HAVE AHEAD OF THEM...
I BOUGHT THIS CAR USED IN 2026 I HAVE NOT HAD IT A YEAR YET AND AFTER THE FIRST MONTH IT HAS BEEN IN FOR REPAIRS, THE WHEELS SOUNDS LIKE THEY ARE COMING OFF AT TIMES, IT SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING IS DRAGGING UNDERNEATH, BRAKES SCRUBS EVEN WITH MY PLACING NEW ONE ON, SOMETIME IT FEEL LIKE TRANSMISSION IS GOING OUT, IT PULLS HARD AT TIME. EVEN THO THIS CAR IS OLD CAN I STILL TAKE IT IN FOR RECALL PROBLEMS. I WAS NOT TOLD ABOUT ANY RECALLS WHEN I BOUGHT THIS CAR, I PAID $3500 AND I FEEL I HAVE ALMOST PAID THIS MUCH IN REPAIRS,ALL OF THIS HAPPENS WHEN CAR IS IN MOTION. I PURCHASED A 2005 CHEVY EQUINOX IN MAY 2015, I HAVE HAD MY NORMAL OR CHANGES, EVERY COUPLE OF MONTHS I HAVE TO PUT 5 QUARTS OF OIL IS IN, THE LOW OIL INDICATOR NEVER CAME ON. SO NOW MY ENGINE HAS LOCKED UP AND I HAVE TO GET A NEW ENGINE. I DIDN'T KNOW THAT THEY HAD SO MANY ISSUES WITH THE OIL CONSUMPTION WITH THE USED CHEVY VEHICLES.

ALSO, THE GEAR SHIFT SELECTOR COULD BE MOVED OUT OF THE PARK POSITION WITHOUT THE KEY BEING PLACED IN THE IGNITION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 04V302000 (POWER TRAIN). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,349.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF COMPLETELY WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS LOCKED OR UNLOCKED WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH. MILEAGE= 110,000 MILES.............FIRST OF ALL I JUST GOT THE BRAKES DONE, WHEN I FIRST PULL THE CAR OUT OF THE GARAGE IN THE MORNING, AS I APPROACH THE FIRST STOP SIGN, I PRESS THE BRAKES, THEN IT FEELS LIKE THERE'S AIR IN THE BRAKE LINE, MAKES A SOUND AS IF SOME OF THE ELECTRONICS ARE TRYING TO RESET OR SOMETHING, ALL WHILE THAT'S HAPPENING, I HAVE TO KEEP PUMPING THE BRAKES FOR LIKE JUST A FEW MINUTES, ULTIMATELY IT GOES AWAY, TOTALLY SCARY BECAUSE I LIVE IN A SCHOOL ZONE, AND ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION THERE WERE CHILDREN AT THE CROSSWALK WHEN THE FAULT OCCURRED, I DON'T KNOW IF GM IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM, THINK WE'RE GOING TO BE SWITCHING TO FORD VEHICLES FROM NOW ON, THIS IS TOTALLY NOT GOOD! THEN ON ANOTHER OCCASION I MISSED THE STOP SIGN AND HAD TO DRIVE OVER THE CURB BECAUSE THE BRAKES GAVE OUT, COULDN'T AVOID IT, HAD TO GO ON THE CURB TO STOP, GOING ABOUT 20 MILES AN HOUR! IT'S BEEN LIKE THIS FOR ABOUT 4 MONTHS ALREADY, GOT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE WHEEL HUB/SENSOR REPLACED, BUT AFTER A FEW DAYS, THE FAULT RECURRED, THE ABS AND THE T/C LIGHT TURN ON, AFTER READING SIMILAR STORIES I'M RELUCTANT TO PUT ANY MORE MONEY INTO THIS PROBLEM, APPARENTLY, THE " THE PIG-TAIL HARNESS" FIX SEEMS TO BE THE GO-TO METHOD FOR THE FIX, WILL BE DOING THAT SOON MYSELF! PLEASE GM CORPORATION DO SOMETHING BEFORE SOMEONE GET'S HURT!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE MADE A VIBRATION MOTION. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES AND AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE DRIVESHAFT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,000.
THE HEAT AND AC BOTH STOPPED WORKING. SINCE THERE IS NO HEAT TO DEFROST IN THE WINDOW, THE WINDOW FREEZES OVER WHILE DRIVING IN THE WINTER.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED EACH TIME THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN AT 50 MPH OR HIGHER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRICAL MOTOR THAT WAS CONNECTED TO THE STEERING COLUMN WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 117,000.
WHEN I TOOK MY CAR IN 2015 TO THE PADDOCK CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP IN KENMORE NY, MY BATTERY WAS REPLACED. THIS CAUSED THE CD CHANGER TO NO LONGER WORK. IT IS STILL NOT FUNCTIONING, CDS WONT EJECT AND ALL IT DOES IS MAKE A CLICKING SOUND.

THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THERE WAS EXCESSIVE SMOKE WHERE THE POLICE DEPARTMENT REQUIRED CLOSING THE ROAD DUE TO IT BEING UNSAFE FOR OTHER DRIVERS TO DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEAD GASKET AND CRACK CYLINDERS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 119,000.

VEHICLE WILL NOT START. PROBLEM WITH PCM? IGNITION SWITCH, LESS THAN 30,000 MILES, WILL SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING AND WILL NOT RESTART. AFTER SITTING FOR MORE THAN 30 MINS OR LONGER START/ NO START NEVER KNOW!!! OTHER ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WITH INTERMITTENT DASH DISPLAY, DOOR CHIMES AND THEFT SYSTEM, CONTACTED G.M. AND NOT WILLING TO ADDRESS PROBLEM ....WAVE TOWING FEE, DEALER FAMILIAR WITH PROBLEM ,BUT NOT EXACTLY SURE AT THIS TIME WHAT PROBLEM IS OR HOW TO FIX....WANT TO THROW $ AT IT TILL A CURE IS FOUND. AS A RESULT, THERE WAS MOISTURE, MOLD, AND WATER ON THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDES. MY 2005 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. WHILE ACCELLERATING AT APPROXIMATELY 20-55 MPH, STARTED MAKING VIBRATION/CLANKING NOISE WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE I ESTATE AROUND7/5/2015 MILEAGE AROUND 245,000. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES AND AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING . MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE CENTER SUPPORT BEARING NEEDED REPLACED. PART WAS PURCHASED AT AUTOZONE AS A KIT PACKAGE TWO WEEKS LATER BY VEHICLES OWNER WITHIN DAYS AFTER REPAIR THE DRIVESHAFT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND STILL IS OWNERS DAILY DRIVER APPROXIMATE MILEAGE TO DATE IS 262,000
AS I TURN THE IGNITION TO START THE CAR, SMOKE COMES OUT OF COLUMNS BETWEEN COLUMN AND STEERING WHEEL

THE FAILURE RECURRED ON ONE OTHER OCCASION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE IGNITION KEY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
THE FIRST TIME MY 05 EQUINOX OVERHEATED ON ME WAS WHEN I WAS GETTING READY TO PARTY ON A HILL AND IT OVERHEATED ON ME THEN WE REPLACED THE RADIATOR AND THE WIRES IN MY VEHICLE THEN TOOK IT TO NISSAN AND THEY SAID THAT PITTS BROKE MY PURGE VALVE AND TRIED GLUING IT BACK SO THEY FIXED THAT AND TOLD ME MY VEHICLE WAS FIXED AND THAT IT WONT OVERHEAT ON ME AGAIN WELL ON MY WAY HOME, I WASNT EVEN 10 MINUTES AWAY FROM BEING HOME AND IT OVERHEATED ON ME AND ANTI FREEZE WAS ALL OVER THE GROUND NISSAN TOLD ME IT COULD BE MY HEAD GASKET BUT THEY WEREN'T FOR SURE BUT THEY SAID SINCE I LET SOMEONE ELSE FIX MY CAR THEY WEREN'T GOING TO PAY FOR MY VEHICLE TO GET FIXED BUT I CALLED THE OTHER PEOPLE THAT FIXED MY VEHICLE SAID THEY NEVER TOUCHED MY PURGE VALVE AND IF THEY DID THEY WOULD HAVE FIXED IT
AIRBAG LIGHT RANDOMLY CUTS ON DURING USE OF THE VEHICLE. IT CAN RANDOMLY TURN ON AUTOMATICALLY WHEN IGNITION IS TURNED ON DURING INITIAL POWERING UP OF VEHICLE BEFORE DRIVING VEHICLE AS WELL.
WHEN INSERTING KEY INTO THE IGNITION, THE KEY HAS TURN BUT NOT COMPLETELY CRANKED BECAUCE IT WOULD JAM. THIS HAS HAPPENED VERY SELDOMLY SINCE 07/04/2015 APPROMIMATE MILAGE AT THE MOMENT OF INITIAL INCIDENT ESTIMATED AT AROUND 230,000 ORIGINAL MILES.HOWEVER THE WHOLE FRONT WHEELS AND STEERING COLUMN LOCK UP SOMETIMES AT THE TURN OF KEY. STEERING COLUMN LOCKS UP AND U CANT TURN THE KEY ALMOST LIKEIT DONT FIT BECAUSE ITS THE WRONG KEY. KEYS CAN ALSO BE REMOVED DURING OPERATION. THE VEHICLE CAN DRIVE WITH NO KEYS IN THE IGNITION AND BE THEN PLACED IN PARK WITH STILL NO KEYS IN THE IGNITION. THE KEY ONCE PLACED OUT PARK, EASILY SLIDES IN AND OUT OF IGNITION.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THERE WAS A STRONG FUEL ODOR COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS FUEL LEAKING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V459000 (FUEL SYSTEM). PCN WENT OUT AND SOME OF THE MODELS ARE ON RECALL AND SOME ARE NOT. MY CAR IS NOT PART OF THE RECALL AND I DONT KNOW WHY.MY CALL IS DEAD WILL COST 800.00 TO FIX. NO ONE IS ABLE TO TELL ME WHY .
MY FAMILY WITH A NEWBORN AND I WAS GOING TO GET ICE CREAM AT A ESTABLISHMENT. MIND YOU IT WAS A VERY HOT DAY, AND UPON LEAVING WE COULDN'T LEAVE BECAUSE THE KEY WOULDN'T TURN OVER. THE KEY WAS STUCK IN THE LOCK POSITION ONLY. I BELIEVE THE IGNITION CYLINDER ISN'T ANY GOOD.
ENGINE WAS RUNNING WITH VEHICLE IN PARK, AND I WAS ABLE TO PULL THE KEY RIGHT OUT OF THE IGNITION WITH NO RESISTANCE. ...UPDATED 07/30/15 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED TO DISREGARD THE COMPLAINT. THE ISSUE WAS A WORN KEY, WHICH WAS REPLACED. UPDATED 08/06/15*JB

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS WATER ENTERING THE MAP LIGHT. THE CONTACT ALSO HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE, THE SUSPENSION WAS UNSTABLE PERTAINING TO THE CONTROL ARM, AND THE AXLE WAS LEAKING FLUID WITHOUT WARNING. THE STEERING WHEEL ALSO MADE A GRINDING NOISE WHEN TURNED, THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISION HESITATED, THE THROTTLE WAS LIGHT, AND IT WAS DIFFICULT TO REVERSE UPON THE CHANGE IN WEATHER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE VARIOUS FAILURES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES AND PROVIDED NO REMEDY. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 201,765.

WHEN I AM DRIVING MY EQUINOX AND HAVE TO STOP FOR A LIGHT, IT WILL RUN HOT AND I HAVE TO PULL OVER UNTILL IT COOLS OFF AND THE TEMPERATURE NEEDLE GOES BACK DOWN. THEN WHEN I TURN IT OFF, THE FAN CONTINUES TO RUN FOR ABOUT 5-10 MINUTES UNTIL IT COOLS OFF.
THE IGNITION KEY WILL LOCK OR ENGINE WILL CONTINUE RUNNING WITHOUT KEY IN PLACE.
THIS SEEMS TO BE AN ONGOING PROBLEM FOR THIS MODEL, YOU ARE PROBABLY AWARE OF THIS THE BRAKES DON'T WORK OR THE PEDDLE PUSHES BACK AND DOESN'T APPLY THE BRAKES AFTER PRESSING HARD ON THE BRAKE PEDAL THE TC AND ABS LIGHTS COME ON AND THE BRAKES WORK. I HAVE HAD THE SPEED WHEEL SENSORS REPLACED ON BOTH FRON SIDES AND AM EXPERIENCING THE SAME SAFETY ISSUE NO BRAKES WE HAVE SPENT OVER 2000.00 TO TRY AND FIX THIS AND IT DOESNT SEEM TO WORK THE DEALERSHIP AND THE MECHANICS KEEP LOOKING FOR A FIX. I THINK THIS MODEL SHOULD BE RECALLED OR AT LEAST DIAGNOSED BY GM AND FIXED THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM. THANKS
SEAT BELT LIGHT IS ON WHEN DRIVER IS BUCKLED, ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON, REPLACED BRAKES AND FRONT DRIVERS SIDE WHEEL BEARING, BEARING WAS PREVIOUSLY REPLACED 3/2014. HAVE HAD TO REPLACE WHEEL BEARINGS AND STRUTS IN THE FRONT ABOUT EVERY 6 MONTHS. JUST REPLACED FRONT PASSENGER SIDE IN 3/2015. TODAY SAME NOISE COMING FROM FRONT END, NEED FRONT PASSENGER SIDE BEARING REPLACED AFTER 2 MONTHS.

I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH CHEVROLET ON THIS. THIS AUTO HAS A BRANDED TITLE AND HAS A FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH. THE KEY COMES OUT WHEN THE CAR IS RUNNING. WE DID NOT OWN THE CAR WHEN IT WAS DAMAGED SO I DON'T KNOW WHAT CAUSED THAT ACCIDENT. I DO KNOW THAT THERE WAS VERY LITTLE DAMAGE TO IT. THEY ARE TELLING ME THEY WON'T COVER REPLACEMENT OF THE SWITCH BECAUSE IT HAS A BRANDED TITLE. I FEEL THIS SAYS THAT MY LIFE IS NOT AS IMPORTANT AND THE PERSON WITH A NEW VEHICLE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE KEY EJECTED FROM THE IGNITION WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS RUNNING. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT ANY KEY COULD START THE VEHICLE, NOT JUST THE MANUFACTURER'S KEY. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD INDEPENDENTLY ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY WERE CHANGED. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC SUGGESTED A SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 128,000.
A LOUD POP OCCURRED DURING OPERATION OF THE VEHICLE AT APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH AND THEN A NOTICEABLE CHANGE IN THE SUSPENSION WAS FELT. IN TESTING THE VEHICLES ABILITY TO TRAVEL TO A REPAIR CENTER THE BRAKE PEDDLE WOULD DROP TO THE FLOOR AS IF IT LOST COMPRESSION. THIS OCCURRED AFTER CAREFULLY OBSERVING THE TROUBLESOME BEHAVIOR OF THE TURNING CAPABILITIES AND SUSPENSION OF THE TIRES. IT SEEMED TO MAKE AN AWFUL GRINDING NOISE WHEN MAKING RIGHT TURNS BUT NOT LEFT TURNS. PREVIOUSLY BEFORE THESE PROBLEMS AROSE, THE APPARENT ISSUE OF THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND ITS FUNCTIONING PARTS(POWER DOORS, WINDOWS ETC.) WERE MALFUNCTIONING, INCLUDING THE RADIO. AT THE INITIAL PURCHASE OF THE CAR THE ONLY SEEMINGLY HARMLESS THING TO MIND WAS THE STICKING OF THE IGNITION SWITCH AT TIMES. TO DATE, THE CAR IS NOT ABLE TO REVERSE FROM PARKING POSITION, AND HAS A NEW ISSUE OF LOCKING UP TOTALLY AND NOT ABLE TO ENGAGE FORWARD. THE CAR IS NOT ABLE TO BE DRIVEN AND WHEN SEARCHING FOR CHEAPER INSURANCE (BYVIN) WE WERE IMMEDIATELY, UNDER NO UNCERTAIN TERMS ALERTED THAT THE CAR WAS UNFIT TO BE INSURED. THIS WAS TOLD AND SENT IN WRITTEN FORM TO US FROM A REPUTABLE INSURANCE AGENCY. *TR

I WENT TO GET MY INSPECTION STICKER AND RECEIVED AN SAFETY/EMISSIONS RECALL SHEET OF PAPER INDICATING THAT I MIGHT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS DEFECT NUMBER: 2529, ENGINE FAMILY:5GMXV02.2025, EMISSION PROBLEM: SOME ENGINE CONTROL MODULES OR POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULES HAVE POTENTIALLY DAMAGED INTEGRATED CIRCUITS. THIS MAY CAUSE THE EGR SYSTEM TO MALFUNCTION OR CAUSE THE FUEL PUMP TO TURN OFF OR THE TURBO SYSTEM TO MALFUNCTION. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT A MECHANIC HAS TOLD ME ABOUT THE EGR SYSTEM. IF YOU COULD PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT I CAN DO ABOUT THIS ISSUE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND IF IT IS COVERED OR IF I CAN GET IT REPAIRED AT NO COST TO ME.
