AFTER 36K MILES, THE CAR STEERING WOULD STICK AND SLIP. PA DEALER COULD NOT REPLICATE AS THIS WOULD HAPPEN AT HIGHER SPEED 65MPH. BUT, UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY, THE DEALER REPLACED THE STEERING RACK DUE TO A TECHNICAL BULLETIN REPORT ABOUT STEERING STICKING/SLIPPING. THE PROBLEM WENT AWAY AND CAME BACK AFTER 36K MORE MILES ON THE NEW STEERING RACK. CAR IS AT VA DEALER TODAY FOR DIAGNOSTIC TEST AS I MOVED. CAR ALSO HESITATES AND JERKS BACK WHEN ACCELERATING AND HAS DONE THAT SINCE A YEAR AFTER OWNED VEHICLE. LOVE THE CAR DESIGN BUT I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE IT AS I FEEL LIKE I DON'T HAVE CONTROL OVER STEERING. AT TIMES STEERING FEELS LOOSE CAR HAS SLIPPED ON ICE AND CANNOT CONTROL STEERING. I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED AND FEEL THE STEERING DESIGN IS POOR. STEERING RACK DESIGN IS A SIMPLE CONCEPT AND DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THIS IS A POOR DESIGN. I'M SKEPTICAL ABOUT KEEPING THE CAR AS I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING. *TR
I WAS STOPPED IN TRAFFIC WHEN A VEHICLE REAR ENDED MY VEHICLE WHILE TRAVELING AROUND 40-50 MPH AT THE TIME OF IMPACT. THE FORCE OF THE IMPACT PUSHED ME FORWARD INTO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF MINE CAUSING EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO MY VEHICLE AND THE CAUSING VEHICLE AND MINOR DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF MINE. THE IMPACT CAUSED THE AIRBAGS TO ACTIVATE WHICH PROMPTED ONSTAR TO COME ON. THE AIRBAGS NEVER ACTUALLY ACTIVATED. THE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE CAUSED BY THE CRASH WAS $17,000 TO REPAIR WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO BE TOTALED. THE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE UPON INSPECTION SHOWS THAT THE AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE DOORS WERE CORRODED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
SES, AIR BAG STABILITRAK AND ABS LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. AUTO REDUCED POWER DOWN TO IDLE. WHEN TURNED OFF AND RE-STARTED, POWER RETURNED TO NORMAL. THIS HAS HAPPENED FOUR TIMES SINCE PURCHASED NEW. THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP HAS BEEN REPLACED THREE TIMES AND THE FUEL SENSOR HAS BEEN REPLACED ONCE, REQUIRING THE GAS TANK TO BE REMOVED IN ORDER TO REPLACE SENSOR. ALSO, AIRBAG SYSTEM INOPERABLE TWICE SINCE NEW, WITH SENSORS BEING REPLACED TWICE. VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAS 27,000 MILES, STILL HAS BUMPER TO BUMPER AND POWERTRAIN WARRANTY AND IS BEING PROCESSED THROUGH AN ATTORNEY FIRM APPLYING THE LEMON LAW. GM HAS MADE TWO LOW OFFERS. NEGOTIATIONS ARE STILL PENDING. OWNER HAS LOST ALL INTEREST AND TRUST IN VEHICLE. *TR
WHEN THE CAR IS EXCELLING FROM A STOPPED POSITION, AROUND THE TIME THE CAR IS REACHING 10 MPH, BRAKING FOR A COMPLETE STOP THAN HAVING TO ACCELERATE BEFORE COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP; SUCH AS WHEN A STOPPING FOR A RED LIGHT AND THE LIGHT TURNS GREEN, OR SLOWING DOWN FROM EXITING THE INTERSTATE THE VEHICLE WILL SHIFT HARD, MAKING A 'CLUNK' TYPE SOUND. ALSO, WHILE DRIVING UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS THE STEERING WHEEL WILL MAKE SUDDEN SMALL JERKING MOTION. BOTH PROBLEMS HAVE OCCURRED MULTIPLE TIMES, IN VARIOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS. THE CRUISE HAS BEEN ON AND OFF WHEN THE STEERING ISSUE HAS OCCURRED; THE TRACTION CONTROL HAS BEEN ON AND OFF WHEN THE STEERING ISSUE HAS OCCURRED. I DRIVE IN 'ECO' MODE REGULARLY. CONSUMER STATES PROBLEM WITH TOWING THE VEHICLE *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED ACCORDING TO THE MANUAL, THAT IN ORDER TO TOW THE VEHICLE ON ALL FOUR WHEELS, THE NUMBER 32 FUSE MUST BE REMOVED. HOWEVER, WHEN IT WAS REMOVED, THE 12 VOLT RECEPTACLE WAS DISCONNECTED WHICH RENDERED THE BRAKE BUDDY NON-FUNCTIONAL.*JB UPDATED 11/27/12 UPDATED 02/11/13.
THE DOORS ON MY CHEVY EQUINOX ARE RUSTING/ BUBBLING OUT ALONG THE BOTTOM SEAM, IT IS NOT MOVING!!! *TR
AFTER APPLYING THE BRAKES TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN, I THEN APPLIED THE GAS TO GO AROUND A CORNER. UPON APPLYING THE GAS, THE ENGINE REVVED UP MUCH FASTER THAN IT WOULD NORMALLY. I QUICKLY APPLIED THE BRAKES, AND STOPPED FORWARD MOVEMENT. HOWEVER,THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO "REV". I PUT THE GEAR IN "NEUTRAL" AND THEN "PARK", THE MOTOR CONTINUING TO "REV". I DROVE ABOUT 50 FT TO THE TOP OF THE HILL, PUT THE GEAR IN NEUTRAL, THEN PARK, AND THEN SHUT THE MOTOR OFF. I LET THE CAR SIT ABOUT 30 SECONDS AND STARTED THE ENGINE. THE ENGINE "REVVED" AS BEFORE SO I DID THE NEUTRAL, PARK, ENGINE OFF SEQUENCE AGAIN AND WAITED ABOUT 30 SECONDS TO START THE ENGINE. SAME PROBLEM. AFTER SHUTTING OFF THE ENGINE THIS TIME, HOWEVER, I WAITED ABOUT 4 OR 5 MINUTES TO START THE ENGINE. THIS TIME THE ENGINE SPEED WAS NORMAL SO I DROVE HOME. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED, AND THE DEALER HAD THE CAR TOWED TO ITS DEALERSHIP WHERE IT IS AT THIS TIME. THE DEALER IS VAN CHEVROLET-CADILLAC IN KANSAS CITY, MO. *TR
2012 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE TRANSMISSION ISSUES. *SMD A MONTH AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS SLUGGISH, AS THE TRANSMISSION WAS NOT SHIFTING CORRECTLY. THE NEXT OCCURRENCE HAPPENED ON JANUARY 2, 2013. THE CONSUMER STATED BEFORE SHE COULD COME TO A COMPLETE STOP, THE VEHICLE STOPPED ON ITS OWN, AS IF SHE HIT A STONE WALL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER, BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIND A PROBLEM. ALSO, THE VEHICLE WOULD STALL, WHEN SLOWING DOWN. THERE WAS A NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT END. THE DEALER CALLED THE CONSUMER TO LET HER KNOW, THEY ORDERED SOME BOLTS, SO THEY COULD BE BOLTED TO THE FRAME. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, WHILE THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS SET, THE CONSUMER APPLIED THE BRAKE, BUT THE VEHICLE DID NOT STOP. THE CONSUMER RETURNED TO THE DEALER, BECAUSE OF A GRINDING/GRATING NOISE COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE VEHICLE WENT INTO A HIGH RATE OF RATE SPEED AND APPLYING THE BRAKES, DID NOT STOP THE VEHICLE. UPDATED 03/27/14
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 40 MPH WHEN ROAD DEBRIS STRUCK THE FUEL LINES, CUTTING THE LINES INTO TWO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL LINES WERE EXPOSED AND COULD BE COMPROMISED EASILY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHO ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE FUEL LINES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. SIDEWALL DAMAGE TO TIRE. PURCHASED 03/12 AND THE VEHICLE HAS 1200 MILES ON IT. NO WRECKS OR ACCIDENTS IN CAR. *JS
WHILE DRIVING I SLOWED DOWN TO STOP FOR LIGHT , LIGHT CHANGED SO I ACCELERATED WHEN I STEP ON GAS VEHICLE HESITATED AND LURCHED FORWARD WITH AN IMPACT SIMILAR TO BEING REAR ENDED AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. ON ANOTHER OCCASION WHEN ACCELERATING VEHICLE ALMOST STALLED BEFORE TRANSMISSION ENGAGED. ON ANOTHER OCCASION THE VEHICLE WAS AT A DEAD STOP AND WHEN I STEPPED ON GAS PEDDLE VEHICLE DID NOT MOVE IMMEDIATELY . THIS HAS BEEN AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM GOING ON FOR OVER 2 YEARS AND 30000 MILES. EVERY TIME I TOOK IT IN FOR MAINTENANCE I WOULD COMPLAIN ABOUT PROBLEM TO NO HELP FROM DEALER THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE. I CONTACTED GM ABOUT PROBLEM THEY SENT ME TO SELLING DEALER WHO KEPT IT FOR ONE AND A HALF DAYS AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE .THE SERVICE MANAGER TOLD ME HIS WIFE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND THEY ARE TRADING THERE VEHICLE IN ON THE SAME VEHICLE WITH A 6 CYLINDER. THE SERVICE WRITER WHO WROTE UP MY VEHICLE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM IN A DIFFERENT MODEL BUT HE JUST LIVES WITH IT. WE FEEL THIS VEHICLE HAS BECOME VERY UNSAFE AND WE DO NOT KNOW HOW TO GET THIS RESOLVED. I HAVE CONTACTED GM AGAIN AND THEY HAD NOT RESPONDED. WE HAVE FOUND SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM ON SEVERAL WEBSITES INCLUDING CHEVY FORUM . *TR
ADJUSTABLE TELESCOPIC STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT LOCK INTO POSITION UNLESS IT WAS MOVED UP AND DOWN IN AND OUT TO FIND GEAR. DEALER REPLACED STEERING COLUMN BUT PROBLEM STILL OCCURS. WENT BACK TO DEALER AND THEY SHOWED ME AN 2012 EQUINOX ON THE SHOWROOM FLOOR THAT DID SAME THING. DEALER SAID IT IS NORMAL FOR EQUINOX? *TR
FOUR DIFFERENT TIMES THE REAR HATCH WAS OPEN AND HAS UNEXPECTEDLY COME DOWN AND HIT PEOPLE IN THE BACK. NO BUTTONS HAVE BEEN PUSHED TO START THIS ACTION. ONE TIME THE HATCH RAISED UNEXPECTEDLY. THE CHEVY DEALER HAS STUDIED THE PROBLEM AND REPLACED TWO PARTS WHICH DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. THE DEALER SAYS THEY CANNOT GET MORE INFORMATION FROM GM CENTRAL ON SOLVING THE PROBLEM. A PERSON WITH A GM TERRAIN HAD THE SAME PROBLEM DURING THE TIME I HAVE HAD MY EQUINOX PROBLEM. I BELIEVE HE IS IN PHILADELPHA, BUT I HAVE FOUND HIM ONLY BY AN INTERNET NAME OF "PHILLYTHEKID" AND DON'T KNOW IF HIS SUV GOT FIXED. I BELIEVE THERE MUST BE A GM ENGINEER WHO DESIGNED THE HATCH SYSTEM, (WHICH IS TERRIBLY COMPLICATED), AND THIS PERSON COULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM. THERE ARE SEVERAL CONTROL BOXES INVOLVED, AND NUMEROUS INTERLOCKS. BUT NO ONE CAN REACH THIS PERSON THROUGH CHEVROLET DEALERS AND CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE PEOPLE, AND THAT AMAZES ME. THE ONLY REASON I FIND FOR SUCH A FIREWALL IS THAT GM DOESN'T WANT TO SPEND TIME AND MONEY ON A PROBLEM THAT IS NUMBERED IN TENS, NOT THOUSANDS. THEY WOULD JUST AS SOON WE FEW PEOPLE GO AWAY AND BUY ANOTHER BRAND. I CAN FIND SEVEN INSTANCES OF UNEXPECTED HATCH ACTIONS ON THE NET THAT ARE FROM VARIOUS GM SUVS. THE GM DEALERS HAVE FOUND NOTHING IN THEIR GM SITES. I WANT MY CAR FIXED SO NO ONE WILL BE HURT. *TR

THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO RESTART VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO DEALER WHERE A FAULTY FUEL PUMP WAS LOCATED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALER AGAIN AND THE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO BAD WIRING AND A FRACTURED TERMINAL ON THE FUEL LINE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND A CLAIM WAS FILED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 5,400. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000.
I PURCHASED THE CAR IN APRIL OF 2012 AND STARTED EXPERIENCING ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE WITHIN THE FIRST 10,000 MILES. THE CAR WOULD STALL AND SHUT OFF WHILE IN MOTION EITHER AFTER A SHORT IDLE WHILE AT A STOP SIGN OR RED LIGHT, OR EVEN WHILE PARKING BOTH IN DRIVE AND REVERSE. THE CAR WILL SHAKE AGGRESSIVELY WHILE IN MOTION AND LURCH FORWARD BOTH WHILE STATIONARY AND IN MOTION. THE TIRE PRESSURE COULD NEVER STAY BALANCED AND WOULD CONSTANTLY INFORM ME OF LEAKING EVEN AFTER REPLACING THE TIRE MULTIPLE TIMES. THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS RANDOMLY SHUT OFF WHILE IN MOTION DURING STORMS LEAVING ME COMPLETELY BLIND. THE DEALER INFORMED ME THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE 2013 EQUINOX WINDSHIELD WIPERS BUT WOULD NOT EXTEND THE RECALL TO MY 2012 EQUINOX WITH THE SAME ISSUE. THE CAR CONSUMES OIL AT A FASTER THAN NORMAL RATE AND HAS REQUIRED FREQUENT OIL CHANGES AND FILTER AND HAS NEVER DISPLAYED AN ENGINE OR OIL LIGHT TO INFORM ME OF THE ISSUES. THE CAR SHUTS OFF WHILE IN MOTION AND STATIONARY QUITE FREQUENTLY. THE CAR STRUGGLED TO START ONE DAY AND AFTER MY THIRD ATTEMPT FINALLY TURNED OVER BUT ONLY AT HALF POWER AND WHILE ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE BACK HOME, THE ENGINE COLLAPSED AND QUIT ON ME. I HAD THE CAR TOWED AND UPON INSPECTION BY A CHEVROLET DEALER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENGINE HAD COMPLETELY FAILED AND THERE WAS METAL PIECES IN THE OIL. THE CAR IS NOT WORKING CURRENTLY AS IT HASN'T BEEN FOR MOST OF IT'S LIFE AS I CONTINUE TO MAKE PAYMENTS ON AN OVERPRICED PIECE OF METAL THAT CAN'T SAFELY TRANSPORT MY FAMILY.
MY VEHICLE KEEPS RED LINING AT 6000 RPMS AND BANGS INTO GEAR..BEEN AT THE DEALER MANY TIMES AND THEY SAY NOTHING'S WRONG BUT KEEP REPLACING PARTS...MY CAR IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY AND NOW THEY WANNA CHARGE ME FOR A TRANSMISSION I HAVE EVERY RECORD SINCE WE BOUGHT THE CAR THAT THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE DAY 1...THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTIONS AND IT HAPPENS AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS I ALSO HAVE VIDEOS OF IT ACTING UP

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE DEFECT. THE DEALER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND WAS ABLE TO RECREATE THE FAILURE. THE DEALER ADDED THE POWER STEERING FLUID HOWEVER, THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE STEERING NOISE WAS A CHARACTERISTIC OF THE VEHICLE. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO SEE THE GAUGES ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER; HOWEVER THEY DID NOT PROVIDE ANY FURTHER ASSISTANCE. CHEVY HAS KNOWN FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS THAT ANDROID AND BLACKBERRY PHONES DO NOT WORK WITH MANY NEW CHEVYS. THEY HAVE A SOFTWARE GLITCH THAT THEY CAN NOT REPAIR. THIS MEANS THAT OWNERS ARE NOT ABLE TO SAFELY USE THEIR PHONES WHILE IN THEIR CARS. I BELIEVE THAT THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. I PERSONALLY PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE WITH THE KNOWLEDGE THAT I HAD A BLUETOOTH IN IT. I MAKE AND RECEIVE A LOT OF CALLS WHILE IN MY CAR AND I CAN NOT DO THIS SAFELY WITH THE EQUINOX. *TR

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHERE THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THE CONTACT STATED THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED APPROXIMATELY FOUR TIMES SINCE PURCHASE. WHEN STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN OR RED LIGHT SOMETIMES THE ENGINE TRIES TO CUT OUT, AND THE CAR JERKS LIKE IT IS TRYING TO STAY CRANKED. I HAVE A FRIEND THAT HAS A GM TERRAIN AND HERS DOES THE SAME THING. WHEN TURNING THERE IS A KNOCKING IN THE STEERING. THE SPEAKERS HAVE A RATTLING SOUND LIKE THEY ARE BUSTED, BUT IT DOESN'T DO IT ALL OF THE TIME. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALER, BUT OF COURSE THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT, THE CAR NOW HAS 23,000 AND IT STILL HASN'T BEEN FIXED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 75 MPH, THE CONTACTS ERRONEOUSLY BRUSHED AGAINST THE ROLLER BUTTON FOR THE CRUISE CONTROL. THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED AND THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED ABNORMALLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED SPORADICALLY AND WAS CONCERNED WITH THE PLACEMENT OF THE CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH, STATING THAT THE COMPONENT WAS POSITIONED AWKWARDLY ON THE STEERING WHEEL WHERE HIS HANDS WERE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DESIGNED WITH THE BUTTON IN THAT MANNER AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO ASSIST. THE CONTACT STATED HE WOULD HAVE THE CRUISE CONTROL DISABLED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100. UPDATED 12/12/11*LJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE CRUISE CONTROL WOULD LOCK IN AT ANY SPEED IF THE CRUISE CONTROL ROLLER SWITCH WAS BRUSHED AGAINST ACCIDENTLY WHILE DRIVING.BUT, OFTEN AT TIMES THE SPEED THAT LOCKED IN WAS HIGHER THAN THE SPEED HE WAS TRAVELLING.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER AND THE KEY WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE KEY WAS NOT REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,000.
THE NIGHT SANDY HIT ON THE EAST COAST, IT WAS WINDY IN MICHIGAN. OUR CITY WAS DOING LEAF PICKUP AROUND THAT TIME SO LEAVES WERE ACCUMULATED AT THE EDGES OF THE ROADS. THE CAR WAS BEING DRIVEN THROUGH A SUBDIVISION ON A PAVED ROAD AND IT JUST CAUGHT ON FIRE. GM WILL TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE FIRE. THEY SAY LEAVES BLEW UP UNDER THE CAR AND THEY ARE WHAT CAUGHT ON FIRE. HOW CAN VULNERABLE AREAS NOT BE SHIELDED FROM THIS? THE CAR WAS ABOUT A MONTH OLD!!! THE FIRE BURNT FOR ABOUT 7 MINUTES. THE DEALERSHIP SAYS THAT THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. A TEAM FROM GM INSPECTED THE CAR AND THEY WILL NOT EVEN LET US SEE THEIR REPORT. WE HAVEN'T HAD A CAR FOR OVER A MONTH AND I FOR ONE AM FURIOUS! THEY TELL US IF WE HAVE THE CAR REPAIRED WE LOSE ANY RIGHT TO PURSUE LEGAL PROCEEDINGS.... WE HAVE TO PAY $500 (OUR INSURANCE DEDUCTIBLE) TO START REPAIRS EVEN THOUGH THEY WONT TELL US WHAT IS DAMAGED EVEN THOUGH WE PURCHASED ADDITIONAL INSURANCE AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE THROUGH THE DEALER TO COVER OUR DEDUCTIBLE IN THE EVENT OF DAMAGE... ALL THEY SAY IS THAT IT WAS OUR FAULT FOR NOT READING THE MANUAL REGARDING DRIVING OR PARKING OVER LEAVES... WE FOUND REFERENCE TO IT IN THE OFF ROAD PORTION OF THE MANUAL.
