I WAS DRIVING AROUND 30 MPH AND SPED UP TO PASS A CAR. ALL OF A SUDDEN, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND WAS STUCK THERE. I COULDN'T BUDGE IT. LUCKILY, MY BRAKES WERE STRONG ENOUGH TO OVERPOWER THE ACCELERATOR. I STOPPED THE CAR AND SHUT IT OFF. I WAS STRANDED. MY MOM CAME DOWN AND TURNED IT ON AGAIN AND IT WAS FINE. I HAD HER DRIVE ME HOME SINCE I AM EIGHT MONTHS PREGNANT. THIS WAS A REALLY SCARY OCCURANCE AND I AM WORRIED IT MAY HAPPEN TO SOMEONE ELSE. I BROUGHT THE CAR TO THE DEALER TO GET IT FIXED BUT THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. SO HERE I AM WITH A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS VEHICLE WITH NO KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT MAY BE WRONG. IN ADDITION, AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH I FOUND THAT OTHERS HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. SOME HAVE BEEN IN ACCIDENTS BECAUSE OF IT. WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE BEFORE THIS IS RECALLED? A DEATH? I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND ANYONE BUY THIS CAR. AT LEAST THIS YEAR OF THIS MODEL.
POWER STEERING CONTINUE TO GO OUT WHILE DRIVING AND I HAVE TO USE MY OWN POWER TO DRIVE.
WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY ROAD THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT SO THAT IT BECAME VERY HARD TO STEER THE VEHICLE. THERE WAS A SMELL OF AN ODD TYPE ALSO NOTICED. AN INDICATOR LIGHT ON THE DASH BOARD ALSO CAME ON AT THAT TIME INDICATING POWER STEERING PROBLEM.

CAR WILL LOSE POWER STEERING SUDDENLY WITH A MESSAGE DISPLAYED ON THE INFORMATION CENTER "POWER STEERING". DOES NOT MATTER SPEED OR LENGTH OF TIME CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN. AT THIS POINT, THE POWER STEERING RETURNS TO NORMAL WHEN YOU TURN THE CAR OFF AND THEN RESTART THE CAR. RECALL FROM GM HAS ONLY 2009-2011 HHR, BUT MANY OTHER OLDER HHR 2006-2008 HAVE EXACT SAME ISSUES ACCORDING TO HHR FORUMS. CHEVY EVEN SENT US A NOTICE IN JANUARY 2015 STATING THE POTENTIAL OF THE POWER STEERING FAILURE, BUT OFFERED NO DATE FOR A RECALL TO FIX. THE HHR HAS 75,000 MILES AND DEALER WAS NOTIFIED, BUT WAS RUDE ABOUT EVEN LOOKING THE CAR UP FOR RECALL INFORMATION OR HELPING US. THIS CAR HAS ONLY SEEN A CHEVY DEALERSHIP FOR ANY SERVICE RELATED ISSUES.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND HEARD A WARNING CHIME AND THE DIC SHOWED POWER STEERING. I PULLED OVER, TURNED CAR OFF AND BACK ON IT WAS FINE. WAS LOOKING TO SE WHAT IT WOULD COST TO REPLACE AND SEE ALL THESE PEOPLE HAVING SAME TROUBLE. IT'S VERY DANGEROUS AND SHOULD BE LOOKED AT BY CHEVROLET IF IT'S THAT BIG OF A PROBLEM!!
MY HHR WAS BOUGHT USED AT A GM DEALER, IT HAS 63000 MILES ON IT AND THE FUEL LINES LEAK BADLY!! THERE SHOULD BE A RECAL ON THE PREMATURE RUSTING OF THE LINES.
CARS POWER STEERING GOES OUT WHILE DRIVING AND COMES BACK WHEN I TURN IT OFF AND BACK ON AGAIN.
2007 CHEVROLET HHR. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE FUEL LINE CORROSION AND FUEL LEAK ISSUES. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED SHE NOTICED HESITATION WHEN STARTING THE VEHICLE. ALSO, THE CONSUMER KEPT SMELLING GASOLINE. THE CONSUMER DID NOT BELIEVE THAT A RUSTED FUEL LINE WAS A MATTER OF NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR OR OWNER NEGLECT. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER, THE RUSTED FUEL LINE, HAD TO DO WITH THE AGE OF THE VEHICLE. GM INFORMED THE CONSUMER, THE ISSUE WAS PREVALENT WITH HER MAKE AND MODEL. HOWEVER, THERE WOULD NOT BE ASSISTING HER WITH THE MATTER. *JB
WAS BUCKLED IN THE CAR AND WHEN WE REACHED OUR DESTINATION THE FRONT PASSENGER SEATBELT WOULD NOT UNBUCKLE HAD TO CLIMB OUT OF SEAT BELT TO GET OUT OF CAR, THE SEATBELT JUST KEPT TIGHTENING AND IS STILL BUCKLED UP CAN NOT GET IT TO RELEASE.
POWER STEERING SUDDENLY GOES OUT RESULTING IN TOTAL LOSS OF POWER STEERING. THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET,
TAKATA RECALL - WHEN IN MOTION, ON A CITY STREET OR A HIGHWAY, DRIVING STRAIGHT, GOING INTO A TURN OR JUST TURNING AT ANY TIME MY POWER STEERING LIGHT COMES ON AND THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT. THIS MAKES IT VERY DIFFICULT TO OPERATE MY CHEVEY 2007 HHR SAFELY. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS AND FIND ON YOUTUBE THERE ARE A LOT OF HHR OWNERS WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM. PLEASE ADVISE.
POWER STEERING STOPS WORKING. WHEN I RESTART THE CAR POWER STEERING WILL RESUME TO WORK. IT MAY HRS OR DAYS BEFORE IT STOPS AGAIN. THIS ONLY HAPPENED WILL DRIVING. STEREO SOME TIMES FLASHES AND UNABLE TO TURN STATIONS. SOME TIMES MY INTER-LIGHTS WILL FLASH AND NOT WORK AFTERWARDS. BOTH OF THESE ISSUES HAPPENS WHENEVER.
CAR EXHIBITS STRONG SMELL OF RAW GASOLINE. DRIPPING FUEL WAS NOTICED IN FRONT OF DRIVER SIDE REAR TIRE. DEALERSHIP REPORTS RUSTED FUEL LINE. REPAIR REQUIRES ORDERING PARTS AND MINIMUM OF $720 TO REPAIR.
ON NOV 7, 2015, MY FAMILY RETURNED TO OUR CAR AFTER EATING, WHEN MY HUSBAND STARTED THE CAR HE COMMENTED ON HOW HARD IT WAS TO STEER, THEN THE WARNING LIGHT FOR POWER STEERING CAME ON. HE TURNED THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON AND THE STEERING WAS FINE. THERE ARE NUMEROUS REPORTS OF THIS HAPPENING..WHY IS NOTHING BEING DONE??? THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE TO USE THIS CAR DAILY TO TRAVEL BACK AND FORTH FROM WORK AND ACCORDING TO THE OTHER REPORTS THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT AT ANY TIME. THERE IS NO WAY I COULD CONTROL THIS CAR AT FREEWAY SPEEDS WITHOUT POWER STEERING.
POWER STEERING WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. CHIME SOUNDED, "POWER STEERING" APPEARED IN THE DIC. WHEN I TURNED OFF THE CAR AND TURNED IT BACK ON, THE POWER STEERING WAS FINE. ACCORDING TO ALL THE RESEARCH I DID TO TRY AND DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM, IT SEEMS THAT THIS IS TYPICAL OF A DEFECTIVE POWER STEERING MOTOR AND IS COMMON TO THIS MODEL WHICH HAS YET TO BE RECALLED.

THE POWER STEERING WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED RANDOMLY AND THE STEERING WHEEL KEPT VEERING TO THE RIGHT WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND REPAIR. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V153000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
I PAID 947 DOLLARS TO FIX THE POWER STEERING MODULE WHEN IT WENT OUT ON OCT 8, 2015. I TOOK CAR TO GET FIXED AT SISBARRO IN LAS CRUCES, NM. LIKE I SAID I PAID 947 DOLLARS TO GET IT FIXED. NOW TODAY I STOPPED TO SAY HELLO TO ONE OF MY NEIGHBORS AND WHEN I STARTED TO DRIVE AGAIN AND THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT TODAY OCTOBER THE 31, 2015. IT'S GOOD THING MY WIFE WAS NOT DRIVING THE CAR SHE COULD HAVE BEEN HURT OR HURT SOMEONE ELSE. SO AGAIN I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO SISBARRO IN LAS CRUCES, NM. I'M JUST WONDERING WHAT KIND OF EXCUSE THEY ARE GOING TO GIVE ME THIS TIME AND PROBABLY CHARGE ME ANOTHER 947 DOLLAR AGAIN.
VEHICLE KEEPS BLOWING POWER STEERING FUSE. DID NOT OCCUR UNTIL AFTER I HAVE IGNITION RECALL WORK PREFORMED. I AM SMELLING IN THE CABIN LIKE HOT WIRING SMELL.
I WAS DRIVING LAST WEEK AND I SUDDENLY LOST ALL POWER STEERING. I HAD TO PULL OVER (AS I WAS ON A SIDE STREET) AND PUT ON MY 4 WAY FLASHERS SHUT OFF MY CAR AND THEN START IT. WHEN I STARTED MY CAR I SUDDENLY HAD MY POWER STEERING BACK. JUST A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO I WAS ONCE AGAIN DRIVING ON A BUSY ROAD NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF THE HIGHWAY) AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED. I'M WONDERING IF THERE IS SOME TIME OF DEFECT WITH THE POWER STEERING. EVER SINCE I HAD THE IGNITION SWITCH RECALL FIXED, I'VE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS.

IN ADDITION, AN UNKNOWN WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THURSDAY OCTOBER 8, 2015 MY WIFE GOT READY TO GO TO WORK GOT IN THE CAR AND BACKED UP FROM THE PORCH AND THEN SHE NOTICED THAT THE STEERING WAS REAL HARD TO TURN. SO SHE DROVE THE CAR BACK INTO THE PORCH AND NOTICED THAT THERE WAS A WARNING ON THE DASH THAT SAID POWER STEERING. SHE HONKED THE CAR FOR ME TO GO OUTSIDE, SHE TOLD ME WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH THE CAR AND I TOO NOTICED IT SAID POWER STEERING. I GLAD THIS HAPPENED ON MY PORCH BECAUSE I HAD JUST ARRIVED FROM PHOENIX, AZ ON OCTOBER 7 AT 8PM, 2015. WE COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED ON THE HIGHWAY. AFTER PUTTING THE GEAR SHIFT IN PARK, THE KEY GETS STUCK IN THE IGNITION. THIS HAPPENED TO ME FOUR TIMES IN ONE DAY. HAD TO FINALLY POP A PIECE OFF UNDER THE STEERING WHEEL AND GET DOWN ON THE GROUND AND STICK MY FINGER UP IN THERE AND FIND THE END PIECE OF A WHITE PLASTIC CYLINDER AND PUSH IT TO RELEASE MY KEY.
MY HUSBAND WAS INJURED IN AN ACCIDENT ON 9-29-2015. WHAT HAPPENED WAS MY HUSBAND WAS STOPPED ON THE INTERSTATE AND A TRUCK SLAMMED INTO MY HUSBAND. HE SAID HIS CAR TURNED OFF AS SOON AS THE FIRST IMPACT, AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WAS A SECOND IMPACT FROM THE SAME TRUCK, WHICH WAS ON MY HUSBANDS PASSENGER SIDE. THE CAR IS COMPLETELY TOTALED. MY HUSBAND WAS LUCKY TO WALK AWAY FROM THIS ACCIDENT. THE HHR WAS RECALLED FOR THE IGNITION SWITCH LAST YEAR AND WE HAD THE NEW PART INSTALLED 2/2015 WHEN THE DEALERSHIP RECEIVED THE PARTS. WE HAVE TWO ISSUES ELECTRICAL, WHY DID HIS CAR TURN OFF WHEN IT WAS HIT FROM THE REAR? DID THE IMPACT KNOCK THE IGNITION SWITCH OUT OF PLACE? ALSO WHY DIDN'T THE AIRBAGS DEPLOY? NOW I KNOW IF THE CAR IS OFF THE AIRBAGS ARE OFF BUT WHY DID THE CAR GO FROM ON TO COMPLETELY OFF UNLESS IT WAS A FAULTY NEW PART THAT WE RECEIVED IN OUR CAR.
SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED WITHIN A WEEK. BOTH TIMES AT A STOP . FIRST TIME STOP SIGN, SECOND TIME STOP LIGHT. AS SOON AS I REACHED THE STOP LIGHT I LOOSE POWER STEERING. EACH TIME I TURNED ON MY HAZARD LIGHTS, PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND RESTARTED IT. THE POWER STEERING RETURNS.
STEERING RANDOMLY TURNS OFF AND ON
INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES TO OPEN THE CAR DOORS FROM INSIDE CAR BROKE OFF ON BOTH DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS SIDES. THE ONLY WAY NOW TO GET OUT OF THE CAR IS TO ROLL DOWN THE WINDOW AND OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE. IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION WE COULD NOT EASILY GET OUT, POSING A LIFE THREATENING DANGER. VEHICLE STATIONARY.
DRIVING MY 2007 CHEVROLET HHR ON 8/16/2015 WHEN THE POWER STEERING MESSAGE CAME ON AND I LOST ALL POWER STEERING IN THE CAR. I PULLED OVER AND TURN THE CAR OFF. THEN I STARTED IT AGAIN AND HAD POWER STEERING BACK; BUT AFTER FEW MINUTES DRIVING, THE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN.
WHILE DRIVING, THE POWER STEERING MESSAGE CAME ON AND I LOST ALL POWER STEERING IN THE CAR. I PULLED OVER AND SHUT OFF THE CAR. THEN I STARTED IT AGAIN AND HAD POWER STEERING AGAIN! THIS OCCURS SPORADICALLY NOW.
WHILE ATTEMPTING TO TURN A CORNER, THE POWER STEERING CANCELLED OUT IN THE CAR AND VEHICLE ALMOST HIT THE MEDIAN AND ANOTHER CAR IN THE NEXT LANE DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE POWER STEERING GOES AWAY MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN THE VEHICLE; I AM NOT A YOUNG WOMAN SO IT IS NOT EASY TO MANUVER THE TURNING OF THE CAR WHEN THE POWER STEERING GOES AWAY AND LIVE ON A LIMITED BUDGET SO THE MANUFACTURER OF THE VEHICLE SHOULD MAKE THE NECESSARY REPAIR AS THE PROBLEM WAS NOT DIVULGED TO THE PUBLIC WHEN THESE AUTOMOBILES WERE PUT ON SALE AND THIS IS A BAD PROBLEM WHICH IS NOW OCCURRING MORE AND MORE;
WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 60 MPH, MY POWER STEERING LIGHT CAME ON AND I LOST POWER STEERING THIS WAS ON THE AUGUST 14, 2015. THOUGHT I HAD BLOWN THE FUSE REPLACED IT. DID NOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE AGAIN UNTIL MONDAY, AUGUST 17, 2015 AND AGAIN WHILE TRAVELLING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 60 MPH THE POWER STEERING LIGHT CAME ON AND I LOST POWER STEERING. MADE IT HOME PARKED THE CAR, TUESDAY MORNING AUGUST 17, 2015 TURNED THE CAR ON AND THE POWER STEERING WAS FINE.

STARTED THE CAR TO MOVE IT UP A LITTLE BIT AND THE POWER STEERING FAILED, VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN. THIS CAR HAS BEEN A LEMON SINCE DAY ONE WHEN I BOUGHT IT FROM THE DEALERSHIP, FRONT END SHAKES WHEN YOU GO 60 MPH. NOW I SEE THERE ARE OVER 300 COMPLAINTS OF STEERING PROBLEMS! WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THIS HEAP? WILL THE DEALERSHIP FIX THE FAULTY PARTS ?
WHILE DRIVING MY 2007 HHR, THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT, A CHIME SOUNDED AND THE WORDS POWER STEERING CAME UP ON THE DISPLAY. I PULLED OVER AND SHUT THE CAR OFF AND THEN STARTED IT BACK UP AND IT WAS FINE. THIS STARTED YESTERDAY (7/16/2015) AND IT DONE THE SAME THING AGAIN TODAY.
INSIDE DOOR HANDLE BROKEN CANT OPEN DOOR, ELECTRIC MIRROR SWITCH FELL INTO DOOR, BACK INDOOR PANEL FALLING OFF, LEAK THROUGH PASSENGER DOOR BEHIND FRONT PASSENGER. THESE ARE ONGOING ISSUES WITH OTHER HHR OWNERS AND NEED TO BE ADDRESSED. THE DOOR LATCH IS MADE OF VERY CHEAP PLASTIC. YOU CAN VERIFY WITH ALL YOUTUBE VIDEOS.

WHILE DRIVING MY 2007 CHEVROLET HHR THE WARNING CHIME CAME ON AND THE WARNING ON THE DASH BOARD" POWER STEERING". IMMEDIATELY THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING ON THE CAR. I STOPPED THE CAR AND RESTARTED AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE. NOW IT IS HAPPENING AT LEAST TWO OR THREE TIMES A DAY. THERE IS A GM RECALL FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM. WHY ISN'T MY 2007 CHEVY HHR ON THE RECALL LIST? I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM FIXED. THIS IS A TERRIBLE SAFETY ISSUE THAT ALL GM CHEVY HHR'S SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER. WHAT IF I KILLED SOMEONE OR EVEN WORSE MYSELF. VERY SCARY! I WANT THIS COVERED UNDER THE RECALL. THIS IS A PROBLEM ON MOST ALL CHEVY HHR NO MATTER WHAT THE YEAR OF THE VEHICLE. ENTER "HHR POWER STEERING" PROBLEM ON "GOOGLE" AND SEE WHAT YOU WILL FIND! DO THE RIGHT THING!
IGNITION SWITCH WAS REPLACED UNDER RECALL IN NOV 2014. ON DATE OF FAILURE IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE TO TURN THE KEY, BUT IT COULD BE REMOVED AND REINSERTED. BECAUSE THE IGNITION KEY COULDN'T BE TURNED, THE STEERING WHEEL WAS LOCKED AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS LOCKED IN PARK. VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED TO CHEV DEALER THAT ADVISES THEY WILL REPLACE IT UNDER WARRANTY.
AS I WAS DRIVING THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT. VERY HARD TO DRIVE. I TURNED OFF THE CAR AND WHEN I RESTARTED IT; IT RAN FINE BUT AFTER ABOUT 30 MINUTES THE LIGHT CAME BACK ON AND THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT AGAIN. I NOTICED THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FOR OTHER HHRS OF OTHER YEARS AND THEY WERE RECALLED. ANYWAY THIS YEAR CAN BE AS WELL?? I JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR 2 MONTHS AGO AND REALLY CAN'T AFFORD ISSUES WITH IT ALREADY.

DOOR HANDEL IS BROKEN FOR THE SECOND TIME ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. HAVE TO ROLL MY WINDOW DOWN AND OPEN HANDEL FROM OUTSIDE. THIS IS NOT GOOD, IF ENGINE DIES SO WILL I. COULD NOT OPEN DOOR. *TR

IN ORDER TO GET THE POWER STEERING TO WORK, THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE RESTARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC OR DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 CHEVROLET HHR. WHILE DRIVING AT 30 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO TURN AND FORCE WAS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO TURN THE VEHICLE. THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE POWER STEERING WAS DISPLAYED ACROSS THE MESSAGE BOARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUSE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING AT 35 MPH. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF VEHICLE AND CRASHED INTO A BUILDING AND A TREE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT DID NOT SUSTAIN ANY INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 14V047000 (AIR BAGS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AND 14V171000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
CAR PARKED IN GARAGE. I TURNED ON IGNITION AND I GET A 'POWER STEERING' IN DISPLAY. I BACKED OUT OF GARAGE AND THE I COULD HARDLY TURN THE WHEEL. IT WAS DIFFICULT TO DRIVE BUT I WAS CAREFUL. I DROVE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THEY DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO LOOK AT IT BUT I COULD GO TO ANOTHER DEALER. I GOT BACK IN MY CAR AND TURNED THE IGNITION AND THE POWER STEERING WAS BACK. SO I DROVE BACK HOME AND SEARCHED THE INTERNET TO SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM MIGHT BE. I WAS SHOCKED TO FIND THAT THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE WITH HHR HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I AM NOW AFRAID TO TAKE A TRIP IN IT UNTIL IT CAN BE REPAIRED. I CAN SEE WHERE IF THIS GOES OUT WHILE DRIVING.... BIG TIME ACCIDENTS. *TR

AFTER THE IGNITION KEY WAS MOVED TO THE OFF POSITION, THE IGNITION KEY FAILED TO DISENGAGE FROM THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FOLLOWING DAY, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START AS THE SERVICE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
