TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET HHR EQUIPPED WITH COOPER ULTRA TOURING HT TIRES (NA). WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE BLEW OUT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM INDICATED THAT THE TIRE PRESSURE WAS DECREASING. IN ADDITION, THERE WAS A RECURRING FAILURE OF TREAD SEPARATION WITH THE REPLACEMENT TIRES OVER THE COURSE OF TWO MONTHS. A DEALER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES THROUGH SEVERAL VOICE MESSAGES BY THE CONTACT. THE TIRE SIZE, DOT NUMBER, VIN, AND TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WERE UNKNOWN. THE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 108,000.
ON SEPTEMBER 6, 2018 ON HIGHWAY GOING TO WORK. I GOT THERE PARK MY VEHICLE NOTICED A STRONG GAS ODOR. GENTLEMAN IN HIS CAR SMELL IT AS WELL LOOK SAW I HAD A GAS LEAK FROM THE LEFT REAR. TOOK IT TO BE CHECKED OUT WAS INFORMED RUSTED GAS LINE. I ONLY HAD THE VEHICLE FOR 9MONTHS AND I CHECKED FOR RECALLS ONLY READING COMPLAINTS WITH THE SAME ISSUES BUT NOT BEING RECALLED I WAS TOLD THIS A FIRE HAZARD!!
MY AIRBAG LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON AND OFF TO GET SERVICED. MY WARRANTY IS RAN OUT SO I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO GET IT FIXED. WHAT CAN I DO?
WAS GETTING SERVICED AND WAS INFORMED THAT FUEL LINES WERE ALL RUSTED OUT AND LEAKING VERY BAD. IS GM DOING ANYTHING ABOUT THIS???FIRE HAZARD
FUEL LINES RUSTED OUT CAUSING A FUEL LEAK. NOTE: DATE GIVEN IS DATE DIAGNOSED BY MECHANIC. MECHANIC NOTED, IT'S BEEN RUSTED FOR A WHILE.
RUSTED FUEL LINE AT 127,000 MILES WITH GAS LEAKING. I NOTICED A STRONG GAS SMELL FROM THE DRIVER SIDE PASSENGER AREA WHEN OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE WHEN PARKED. AFTER RESEARCHING FOUND THIS TO BE A KNOWN ISSUE. THE FUEL LINE IS NOT MADE OUT OF STAINLESS STEEL AND THEREFOR RUSTS OUT IN AREAS OF THE COUNTRY THAT USE SALT ON THE ROADS IN WINTER. HUGE SAFETY CONCERN. SPOKE WITH GM AND RECEIVED NO COMPENSATION FOR SUB-PAR PARTS USED FOR FUEL LINE ON THIS VEHICLE WHEN MANUFACTURED.
FOR THE LAST MONTH MY ELECTRICAL SYSTEM HAS BEEN GOING HAYWIRE, ALL OF A SUDDEN ALL MY GAUGES START FLUCTUATING AND ALL SERVICE INDICATOR LIGHTS WILL COME ON AND AFTER THE CAR IS OFF FOR A WHILE ALL WARNING LIGHTS WILL GO OFF. THIS MORNING ON MY WAY TO WORK MY SECURITY LOCK AND ESC WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON AND WHEN I STOP AND START TO GO AGAIN THE CAR FEELS LIKE IT IS GETTING HIT FROM BEHIND. MY TWO REAR WINDOWS NO LONGER WORK, FRONT PASSENGER DOOR WILL NOT UNLOCK AUTOMATICALLY AND DRIVER DOOR HANDLE IS BROKEN. I HAVE SEEN A LOT OF ELECTRICAL ISSUES ON THIS SITE, YET THERE HAVE BEEN NO RECALLS. WHAT IS GOING ON??
STARTED SMELLING RAW GASOLINE WHEN DRIVING AND STATIONARY... DISCOVERED FUEL LINE LEAKING/SEEPING GAS ON DRIVER SIDE IN FRONT OF REAR TIRE, ABOVE THE HOT EXHAUST. FUEL TANK STRAPS ARE ALSO RUSTED. THIS IS VERY COMMON IN HHR AND COBALT - NEED TO RECALL BEFORE SOMEONE DIES IN A CAR FIRE! NOTE: IT CAN BE SEEN IN THE ATTACHED PHOTO - THE DISCOLORATION OF THE METAL IS FROM IT BEING SATURATED IN GASOLINE.
THE FUEL LINES ARE RUSTING AND HAVE BEGUN TO LEAK GASOLINE. LEAK OCCURS WHILE STATIONARY AND WHILE DRIVING
I COULD SMELL GASOLINE FOR THE LONGEST TIME. AFTER AWHILE I FOUND DROPS ON THE GROUND AND FOUND A LEAK COMING FROM THE FUEL LINE IN FRONT OF THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR WHEEL. I HAD TO TAKE IT TO A MECHANIC AND HAVE THE SECTION OF FUEL LINE REPLACED
CAR WHEN STOPPING BEGAN TO RUN ROUGH. AFTER ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. WENT OFF DAY LATER. HAD OIL CHANGED THEN THE ABS TRACK LIGHT AND BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON. MESSAGES: SERVICE TRACKING AND ESC. HAD DIAGNOSED . NO ONE SO FAR HAS BEEN ABLE TO FIGURE OUT PROBLEM. CODE CO550 WAS READ BUT NO SPECIFIC PROBLEM CODE SHOWS UP. THERE IS NO END TO EXPENSE TO CORRECTLY DIAGNOSE PROBLEM. GM HAS ON LINE SIMILAR PROBLEMS WITH MALIBU AND EQUINOX. BUT NOT 2009 HHR. THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO ASSIST FIXING THIS PROBLEM. IF CAR NO FIXED WILL NOT PASS INSPECTION. IT COULD COST UPWARDS OF 800 DOLLARS BEFORE IT CAN BE FIGURED OUT. GM SHOUD KNOW THE PROBLEM CAUSE AND HELP OUT. THIS CAR WAS MADE IN MEXICO. COULD THIS BE THE PROBLEM?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET HHR. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILED TO OPERATE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED; BUT NOT THE EPS INDICATOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JENNINGS BEARDSTOWN CHEVROLET, BUICK, GMC (61 PLAZA DR., BEARDSTOWN, IL 62618, (217) 323-2322), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,278.
FOR APPROXIMATELY 6 MONTHS WHEN I START MY 2009 CHEVY HHR PANEL, THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT COMES ON. IT DOES NOT GO OUT WHILE DRIVING. THE WARNING LIGHT DOES NOT ALWAYS COME ON AS IT IS AN INTERMITTENT ISSUE. IT ONLY COMES ON AT STARTING NEVER WHILE DRIVING. I AM VERY CONCERN THAT THE AIR BAG IS NOT OPERATING PROPERLY. I FOUND THAT GM DID A LIMITED RECALL ON A CONNECTOR. MY VEHICLE DID NOT COME UP FOR A RECALL.
SERVICE AIRBAGS DETECTION COMES ON THE DASH BUT IT DOESN'T SAY DRIVERS OR PASSENGER COULD THIS POSSIBLY DEFLATE WHILE DRIVING? DEALERSHIPS SAYS NO RECALL
WHEN THE CAR HAD LESS THAN 36,000 MILES ALL OF THE SPEAKERS BLEW OUT AT THE SAME TIME.THE DEALER REPLACED THEM UNDER WARRANTY NOW AT 84,000 MILES THEY HAVE BLOWN AGAIN. I DO NOT PLAY THE RADIO LOUD, SO THAT IS NOT THE THE PROBLEM. I HAVE TALKED TO A CAR RADIO TECH, AND HE SAYS THAT HHRS HAVE A BIG PROBLEM WITH THIS.IF THIS IS THAT BIG OF A PROBLEM SHOULDN'T THEIR BE SOME TYPE OF WARRANTY ON THIS. BOTH TIMES THIS HAPPENS I WAS JUST GOING DOWN THE ROAD LISTING TO THE RADIO WHEN THE VOLUME JUST DROPPED TO ALMOST NOTHING. .
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET HHR. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNSPECIFIED RATE OF SPEED, THE CURTAIN AIR BAGS DEPLOYED WITH FORCE ON THE DRIVER'S AND FRONT PASSENGER SIDES. THE DRIVER'S HEARING WAS IMPACTED FOR DAYS AFTER THE AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. A HEAD INJURY WAS SUSTAINED AND THE AIR BAGS HAD TO BE MANEUVERED FOR THE DRIVER TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. MEDICAL TREATMENT WAS NOT RECEIVED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED; HOWEVER, OURISMAN CHEVROLET OF BOWIE (16610 GOVERNOR BRIDGE RD, BOWIE, MD 20716, (301) 262-7600) WAS CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AT THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS TO INVESTIGATE THE FAILURE TO DETERMINE WHAT CAUSED THE AIR BAGS TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE CONTACT AND THE DRIVER WERE WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FROM THE MANUFACTURER PERTAINING TO THE FAILURE AND TO ADDRESS NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 14V047000 (AIR BAGS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AND 14V171000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON WHICH EFFECTS THE SEAT BELT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET HHR. WHILE DRIVING, THE FUEL LINE SEPARATED AND THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL ODOR OF FUEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL DEALER (GRAYBILL BROS 1459 BEAVER VALLEY PIKE, REFTON, PA 17568) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL LINE/LOCKING CLIPS FAILED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS WERE ON BACKORDER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
APRIL OF 2017 THE FUEL LINES OF MY HHR RUSTED AND I HAD THEM REPLACED. NOVEMBER OF 2017 PLASTIC FUEL LINE CONNECTOR THAT CONNECTS FUEL LINE TO FUEL TANK FAILED . WHILE DRIVING HOME THROUGH THE CITY OF LANCASTER I SMELLED GAS . I PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT TO INSPECT AND I OBSERVED GAS LEAKING FROM THE TANK. GAS LEAKED OUT WHILE I WAS PARKED AT A STORE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND HAZMAT HAD TO BE CALLED TO CLEAN UP SPILLED GAS. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO MY MECHANIC . HE REPORTED TO ME THAT THE PLASTIC PART (22719582) FAILED. HE HAS BEEN TRYING TO FIND A PART AND HE REPORTS TO ME THAT THE PART IS UNAVAILABLE. HE THINKS MANY OTHER HHR'S ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM. WHILE RESEARCHING THE PROBLEM ON LINE I DISCOVERED MANY OTHER HHR'S HAD SIMILAR PROBLEMS WITH THE FUEL LINE.
GAS LINES EXITING THE FUEL TANK RUN THROUGH A FLEXIBLE HEAT SHIELD AS THEY RUN PAST THE LEFT REAR WHEEL TO THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR (PRIOR TO RUNNING UP TO THE ENGINE). THE FUEL LINES IN THE FLEXIBLE HEAT SHIELD HAVE SIGNIFICANT RUN AND HAVE STARTED TO LEAK FUEL. THIS FUEL POOLS UNDER THE CAR WHEN STATIONARY AND SPRAYS ONTO THE EXHAUST SYSTEM WHILE IN TRANSIT. THIS WAS NOT A SUDDEN EVENT, THE RUST HAS OCCURRED OVER TIME, HOWEVER IS NOT DETECTABLE DURING ROUTINE INSPECTION DUE TO THE HEAT SHIELD. THIS INCIDENT WAS NOTICED DUE TO THE GAS FUMES WHICH COLLECTED IN THE CAR DURING A START-UP. THERE WAS NO OTHER INDICATION UNTIL THE FUMES WERE INVESTIGATED.
THE SERVICE ECS DOES NOT GO OFF. THEIRFOR THE CAR WILL NOT GO UNLESS THE ROADS ARE COMPLETELY FREE OF SNOW AND ICE. THE CAR JUST SITS AND SPINS. TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT ON CONSTANTLY .CAN NOT DRIVE CAR IN WINTER MONTHS
AFTER SITTING OVERNIGHT THE VEHICLE HAS A HARD PEDAL AND WOULD NOT STOP. IT APPEARED TO BE FROM THE BOOSTER NOT HOLDING THE VACUUM. THERE WAS A BULITEN #09-05-22-001A THAT ADDRESSES THIS ISSUE BUT IT REQUIRES AN ADDITIONAL VACUUM PUMP TO BE ADDED TO THE VEHICLE THAT WAS NOT IN THE ORIGINAL DESIGN. I FEEL THIS SHOULD BE COVERED BY GM AND NOT THE CUSTOMER SINCE IT REQUIRES A NEW ADDITIONAL PART TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT DUE TO NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ON THE VEHICLE.
ONE NIGHT AFTER WORK I GOT INTO MY CAR AND HAD NO HEADLIGHTS AFTER HAVING BULB CHANGED THREE TIMES!!! THIS CAR HAS COST ME MORE MONEY THEN ANY CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED AND THERE'S NOT EVEN 100000 MILES ON IT THE WHOLE CAR SHOULD BE RECALLED
THE STEERING WHEEL TURNS TO RIGHT BY ITSELF WHILE DRIVING SLOW. I HAVE TO HOLD THE STEERING WHILE REAL TIGHT AND FIRM TO STOP IT FROM TURNING RIGHT. ON AUG 26 2017 AT 5PM, I WAS READY TO MAKE A SLIGHT RIGHT TURN, BUT THE STEERING WHEEL TOOK CONTROL OVER ME, THE CAR TURNED RIGHT BY ITSELF BEFORE I TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL. THIS MORNING WHILE DRIVING IN SLOW TRAFFIC, THE STEERING WHEEL TURNED TOWARDS RIGHT, I HAD PUT STRENGTH AND HOLD FIRM AND STRONG WITH MY HANDS ON STEERING WHEEL TO STOP IT FROM TURNING RIGHT BY ITSELF. WHILE DRIVING FAST, I FELT THE STEERING WHEEL VIBRATE TOWARDS RIGHT AND HEARD VIBRATING SOUND...IT COULD BE LIFE THREATENING IF THE STEER WHEEL IS OUT OF CONTROL.

THE LOCATION ON THE ROOF WHERE THE WATER WAS ENTERING COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. AS A RESULT, WATER SURROUNDED THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE AROUND THE AIR BAGS AND ON THE FLOORBOARD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ELECTRICAL POWER SEATS AND THE POWER WINDOWS FAILED TO OPERATE AND THE WATER SHORTENED OUT THE RADIO. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 103,000.
THE GAS LINE IS RUSTED AND LEAKING. THERE IS A STRONG ODOR OF GASOLINE AT THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE TIRE OF MY CAR. IT LEAVES A FUEL ON MY DRIVEWAY

WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED, THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE AND REMAINED IN FIRST GEAR. IN ADDITION, THE AIR BAG, TRACTION CONTROL, AND CHECK ENGINE INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED PER MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBER: 08016. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS AN AIR BAG FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME SYMPTOMS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 191,000.
THE VAR JERKS WHEN IT REACHES GEAR CHANGES AND MAKES IT HARDER TO STEER AND THE CHECK ENGIN LIGHT STAYS ON. SHOWS ERROR CODE U0101
THE CAR LOST SOME STEERING AND SPEED ALL HAPPENED WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE CAR.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. REDUCED ENGINE POWER. ESC OFF. THIS OCCURRED ON VEHICLE STARTUP AND WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. THE VEHICLE GOES INTO A LOW POWER MODE AND CANNOT BE DRIVEN MORE THAN FIVE MILES PER HOUR.
My air bag service light continues to turn on and off at various intervals. I think it has to do with a faulty passenger underneath sensor but I'm not sure. I know there's been several recalls involving the airbag wiring and electronics so I think it may be related to that work. It hasn't been fixed yet or replaced. I believe it maybe related to the other airbag recalls or a faulty sensor from the start. This is a common issue I've come to findout.
THE FUEL LINE FROM THE FUEL TANK TO THE ENGINE BENDS AROUND BY THE WHEEL AND APPARENTLY RUBS WITH EVERYDAY DRIVING. EVENTUALLY IT RUBBED A HOLE IN THE FUEL LINE. I NOTICED IT AFTER I PARKED THE CAR AND COULD SEE FUEL DRIPPING IN FRONT OF THE REAR WHEEL. THE LINE FROM FRONT TO BACK OF THE CAR IS A SINGLE PIECE AND COST SOMETHING LIKE $700 FOR THE LINE ALONE. (STUPID) INSTEAD OF REPLACING THE LINE I HAD A RUBBER FUEL LINE CLAMPPED TO THE LINE AS A TEMPERARY FIX. AFTER TALKING TO A CHEVY DEALERSHIP AND A MECHANIC AT TIRE DISCOUNTERS, I WAS TOLD BY BOTH PLACES THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. BOTH LOCATIONS SAID THAT THEY GET HHR'S WITH THIS PROBLEM OFTEN. THIS NEEDS TO BE ON A RECALL LIST. THIS SERVICE WAS DONE ON JANUARY 25, 2017 AND THE COST FOR THE FIX WAS $232. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.
THE "SERVICE AIR BAG" LIGHT JUST STAYS ON ALL THE TIME

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 91,000.
DOOR LATCH - DRIVERS SIDE PASSENGER DOOR - FAILED TO ENGAGE - DOOR FLEW OPEN WHILE DRIVING. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET HHR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE KEY FOB WOULD INADVERTENTLY FUNCTION WHEN SHE ATTEMPTED TO OPEN THE VEHICLE DOORS. ALSO, THE HYDRAULIC FOR THE HATCHBACK WOULD CAUSE IT TO INDEPENDENTLY OPEN. THE CONTACT HAD TO USE A STICK TO KEEP THE HATCHBACK FROM CLOSING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,000.

THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V153000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 75,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 110,000.

AFTER ATTEMPTING TO MANUALLY RESTART THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE KEY COULD NOT BE TURNED TO START THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT, IN ORDER TO REMEDY THE FAILURE, THEY WOULD HAVE TO FRACTURE AND DETACH THE HOUSING AT THE CONTACT'S EXPENSE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON WHEN THE INTERIOR TEMPERATURE RISE, AFTER THE INTERIOR COOL DOWN THE LIGHT GOES OFF. I HAVE TO TURN THE AIR CONDITION ON HIGH TO COOL DOWN THE INTERIOR TEMPERATURE TO GET THE LIGHT TO GO OUT.
LEFT SIDE REAR WINDOW BLEW UP AND SHATTERED. NEXT, THE REAR WINDSHIELD BLEW UP AND SHATTERED BOTH HAVE BEEN REPLACED, HOWEVER SOMEONE COULD HAVE BEEN INJURED BY THE EXPLODING GLASS SINCE MY CAR WAS FULL OF IT IN BOTH INSTANCES, I HEARD A POP ON THE FIRST ONE WHILE CAR WAS IN MOTION ON A HIGHWAY.MY CAR WAS PARKED (STATIONARY) AT MY RESIDENCE WHEN THE BACK WINDSHIELD EXPLODED. A FRIEND VISITING ME TOLD ME MY BACK WINDSHIELD HAD SHATTERED AND GLASS WAS ON THE GROUND AND INSIDE THE CAR. I HAVE REPAIR INVOICES FOR BOTH REPLACEMENTS.
VEHICLE WHILE BEING TAKEN THROUGH AN AUTOMATED CAR WASH WITH ME INSIDE SITTING BEHIND THE STEERING WHEEL, WITH THE TRANSMISSION IN THE NEUTRAL POSITION, AND BOTH OF MY HANDS RESTING ON MY KNEE CAPS, WITH ENGINE RUNNING THE VEHICLE GOES INTO REVERSE BY ITSELF.. THE BACKUP LIGHT ARE ALSO TURNED ON WHEN THIS ACTION OCCURS. THIS SAME ACTION HAVE HAPPENED THREE TIMES AT RANDOM DURING MY LAST NINE VISITS TO THE SAME AUTOMATED CAR WASH. NONE OF THE VEHICLES MOVING FORWARD BEHIND MY VEHICLE HAVE BEEN DAMAGED WHEN THIS ACTION OCCURS.
APPROX : MARCH 2016 - - 48000 MILES, MY CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM STOPPED FUNCTIONING COMPLETELY ,WHEN TURNED ON. INDICATOR LIGHT STILL WORKS, RESEARCHING I'VE FOUND A SIMPLE BURNT OUT BRAKE LIGHT BULB MAY BE THE CAUSE FOR THIS DEFECTIVE UNRELATED FAILURE. EITHER WAY I'M NOT SEEING ANY ERROR MESSAGES OR WARNINGS ALERTING ME TO WHAT PROBLEMS I MIGHT REALLY HAVE SO THAT THEY CAN BE ADDRESSED. THE ESC HAS GONE OUT AND THE TURN SIGNALS WORK, BUT NOW I HAVE TO TURN THEM OFF MANUALLY. THE IGNITION HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE. ONCE WHEN IT WAS NEW BECAUSE THE IGNITION WOULD NOT TURN OFF. THE SECOND TIME WAS A RECALL. THE DIGITAL DISPLAY WHICH INCLUDES THE RADIO, AND INFORMATION SYSTEM TURNS ON AND OFF INTERMITTENTLY.
I HAVE FOUND THROUGH RESEARCH THAT THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL PREVIOUSLY DUE TO THE AIRBAG LIGHTS, APPARENTLY THIS WAS NEVER FIXED IN OUR CAR. WE BOUGHT THE CAR THIS PAST DECEMBER. THE LIGHT COMES ON EVEN WHEN NO ONE IS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND NOW THE LIGHT AND SYSTEM SAYS THAT WE NEED TO SERVICE THE AIRBAGS.
