I HAVE BEEN TRYING T O GET MY SONS IGNITION SWITCH RECALLED FIXED ON HIS HHR SINCE JUNE 4, 2014. THE DEALERSHIP AND CHEVROLET CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE CENTER BOTH KEEP TELLING ME THE PART WILL BE COMING. I WAS TOLD SIX WEEKS. IT HAS BEEN LONGER THAN SIX WEEKS AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN I WILL GET THE PART! *TR
TL * THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET HHR. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 14V047000 (AIR BAG, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AND 14V171000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE DEALER STATED THAT THE PARTS FOR THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE AND WOULD NOT ARRIVE FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
MY CHEVROLET 2009 HHR AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON WHEN THE CAR HAS BEEN SITTING IN THE SUN FOR A FEW HOURS ON A HOT DAY. ONCE THE CAR COOL OFF THE LIGHT GOES OFF, OR IF IT IS BEFORE THE SUN COME UP THERE IS NO PROBLEM. I REPORTED THIS TO MY CHEVROLET DEALER AND THEY PRETENDED LIKE THIS ISSUE WAS FOREIGN TO THEM, BUT AS I SEARCH THE INTERNET I SEE THIS ISSUE REPORTED BY MORE OWNERS THAN I CAN COUNT. THERE IS AN ISSUE GOING ON AND THIS NEED TO BE CORRECTED IN A RECALL. *TR
AFTER PULLING THE VEHICLE INTO A PARKING SPACE, I ATTEMPTED TO SWITCH THE IGNITION TO THE OFF POSITION. THE SWITCH WOULD NOT MOVE FROM THE RUN POSITION TO THE OFF POSITION. HOWEVER; IT WOULD MOVE FROM THE RUN POSITION TO THE START POSITION. THIS FAILURE TO ROTATE TO THE OFF POSITION LEFT THE ENGINE RUNNING. KEY COULD NOT BE REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION. *TR
THE FRONT END OF MY VEHICLE IS TICKING. IT SOUNDS LIKE THE TIMING CHAIN....I PURCHASED THE CAR FROM [XXX] MY POWERTRAIN WARRANTY EXPIRED 7/27/14 [XXX] IS CHARGING ME 135.00 AN HOUR FOR THE DIAGNOSIS THIS IS NOT FAIR. MAY IPLEASE RECEIVE SOME ARBITRATION AND NOT PAY THIS CHARGE SECOND SUBJECT: [XXX] CHARGED ME $200.00 FOR REPLACING MY STEERING COLUMN. THEY REFUSED TO REFUND ME. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET HHR. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, A LOUD CHIME SOUNDED INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THERE WAS AN IMMEDIATE LOSS OF THE POWER STEERING WITH THE ILLUMINATION OF THE WARNING INDICATOR. THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE POWER STEERING MOTOR WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 104,000, AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 105,000.
I HAVE A 2009 CHEVY HHR WAS HAS 2 RECALLS ON IT. I CALLED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO GET THE RECALLS REPAIRED ON MY CAR AS SOON AS I RECEIVED THE FIRST WHICH WAS 06/09/2014. I WAS TOLD THE PARTS WOULD HAVE TO BE ORDERED AND I WOULD GET A CALL WHEN THEY CAME IN. ON TUES 08/26/2014 I RECEIVED A CAR IN THE MAIL THAT THE PARTS WERE IN AND THAT I SHOULD CALL TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. I CALLED [XXX] THAT SAME DAY, AND GOT AN APPOINTMENT THAT THURS. 08/28/2014. WE DROPPED THE CAR OFF THAT WEDS. NIGHT. I WAS NEVER TOLD HOW LONG THE SERVICE WOULD TAKE . SO I CALLED ON 08/28/2014 IN THE AFTERNOON AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD NOT BE READY UNTIL FRIDAY. TRYING TO GET THROUGH TO TALK WITH A PERSON AT [XXX] TAKES ANYWHERE FROM 20 TO 30 MINUTES TO TALK WITH SOMEONE. I WAS NEVER ASKED IF I NEEDED A LONER CAR OR ANYTHING. FRIDAY 08/29/2014 WE PICK THE CAR UP AROUND 7PM BECAUSE THAT'S WHEN IT WAS FINISHED. ON SATURDAY 08/30/2014 WE HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED BACK TO [XXX] BECAUSE THE KEY WAS STUCK IN THE BRAND NEW IGNITION AND THE CAR WOULD NOT START. I DID NOT RECEIVE A PHONE CALL ONCE THE CAR GOT THERE, AND OF COURSE IT WAS A HOLIDAY WEEKEND SO THEY WERE NOT GOING TO BE OPEN THAT FOLLOWING MONDAY 09/01/2014. I DROVE BY [XXX] ON SUNDAY JUST TO MAKE SURE IT WAS THERE, AND IT WAS WITH THE KEYS STILL STUCK IN THE IGNITION. I CALLED ON TUESDAY 09/02/2014 TO FIND OUT WHAT THE STATUS WAS, I WAS TOLD THEY WERE WORKING ON IT. I HAPPENDTO BE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD SO I STOPPED BY TO CHECK, IT WAS STILL IN THE SAME SPOT NEVER EVEN LOOKED AT, I WAS TOLD BY MIKE THE MANAGER( WHO WAS VERY RUDE) THAT OTHER PEOPLE HAD APPOINTMENT FOR TODAY AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT, I TOLD HIM I SHOULD BE A PRIORITY BECAUSE MY APPOINTMENT WAS LAST WEEK AND THE CAR SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED RIGHT THAT TIME. HE HAD THE NERVE TO ASK ME DID IT WORK WHEN YOU LEFT HERE., IM JUST GETTING MY CAR BACK TODAY 09/03/2014. I HAVE HAD 3 PROBLEMS SO FAR WHERE MY POWER STEERING WENT OUT. I HAVE CONTACTED TWO DIFFERENT CHEVY DEALERS AND THEY SAID THAT MY VIN NUMBER IS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST. ON THE GM WEBSITE IT SAYS THAT THERE IS A RECALL ON THE 2009 CHEVY HHR ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING. BECAUSE THE DEALER SAYS MY VIN IS NOT INCLUDED THEY REFUSE TO HONOR THE RECALL. I WOULD LIKE GM TO STEP UP AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY TO REPAIR THIS ISSUE. I AM CONCERNED THAT I COULD BE INVOLVED IN A ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE. ON APRIL 28, 2014, WHILE TAKEN A CURVE POWER STEERING (PS) STOPPED WORKING, LOST CONTROL AND DAMAGE ONLY WHEEL COVER, FORTUNATELY THE AREA A CAME TO A FULL STOP WAS CLEAR OF CAR AND PEOPLE. THE PS WORKED FINE SOON AFTER THAT. AGAIN, ON MAY 10, 2014 THE PS WENT OUT AGAIN, BUT THIS TIME I WAS TAKING A SMALL TURN AND WAS ABLE TO CONTROL STEERED IT IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. PRESENTLY WE ARE RESEARCHING THE MALFUNCTION TO CURE THE PROBLEM, BUT UNABLE TO LOCATE THE PROBLEM. *TR

THERE WAS A RECALL UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 14V153000 (STEERING) HOWEVER, THE CONTACT'S VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER BUT HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000.
LOSS OF POWER STEERING WHEN ATTEMPTING TO TURN INTO SIDE STREET. WARNING MESSAGE ON DASH. CAR WAS BROUGHT TO DEALERSHIP, EXPECTING PROBLEM TO BE REPAIRED FREE OF CHARGE UNDER GM RECALL/BULLETIN 14115 OR 14119, BUT WAS TOLD BY DEALERSHIP THAT THIS VIN HAD NO STEERING RECALLS OR BULLETINS AS OF YET. PAID ALMOST $1000 TO REPLACE COLUMN AND POWER STEERING MOTOR. I WOULD EXPECT TO BE REIMBURSED. THIS IS A COMPANY OWNED VEHICLE. *TR

MY 2009 CHEVY HHR REPEATEDLY HAS WATER IN THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE FLOOR. I AM NOT SURE WHERE THIS IS COMING FROM, HOWEVER, AFTER I RESEARCHED ON LINE, THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE. BESIDES THE FLOOR BEING WET THIS CAUSES A HORRIBLE SMELL, MOST LIKELY MOLD IN THE VEHICLE. THIS NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED AS FROM MY FINDINGS, IT IS A FLAW IN DESIGN OR MANUFACTURING. *TR
POWER STEERING IS INTERMITENTLY GOING OUT. I CAN TURN THE CAR OFF AND ON AGAIN AND IT WORKS FOR A WHILE THEN GIVES OUT AGAIN. *TT
POWER STEERING QUIT WORKING. RESTARTED VEHICLE AND POWER STEERING RESUMED WORKING. OVER NEXT TWO WEEKS INTERMITTENT LOSS OF POWER STEERING BECAME MORE FREQUENT. A RECALL ISSUED FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM ON THIS MAKE AND MODEL DOES NOT INCLUDE MY VIN NUMBER. THEREFORE CHEVROLET WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THE PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE FOR REPAIR AT THEIR EXPENSE. 2009 CHEVY HHR HAS 50,000 MILES ON IT AND I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE TEMPERATURE RUNS VERY HOT WITH NO EXPLANATION. FLUIDS FULL, CLEAN AND REGULARLY SERVICED. THE COOLING FAN KICKS ON WHEN SITTING IDLE FOR ANY SMALL PERIOD OF TIME. *TR

THE ESC LIGHT CAE ON AND IT BECAME DIFFICULT TO STEER, TURN, AND JERKING WHEN I APPLY THE BRAKES. I'VE TAKEN MY HHR TO THE DEALERSHIP ON 3 AND 4 OF APRIL 2014 FOR SOFTWARE UPDATE. BACK TO DEALERSHIP ON 7,8,9, FOR COMPUTER, HOWEVER THERE WAS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. 17 APRIL SAME ISSUES AS THE 3 RD. 21 ST TO TWEAK THE ESC PROBLEMS. I HAVE SPOKE WITH [XXX] THE SERVICE MANAGER AT RINKE CHEVROLET 586 754 7000. I HAVE LEFT SEVERAL MESSAGES FOR ED RINKE THE DEALERSHIP OWNER. I NEED MY VEHICLE TO BE SAFE! THE RED LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON AND OFF THAT THE AIR BAG NEEDS SERVICE.IT SEEMS IT THE PASSENGER SIDE, AS IT BEEPS AND THERE IS NO ONE THERE OR I HAVE MY PURSE SITTING ON THE SEAT. THE CAR DEALERSHIP SAID IT'S NOT ON THE RECALL LIST AND I WANTED TO DO DIAGNOSTIC THAT IT WOULD COST ME $98.00. I HAVE READ ON THE CHEVY WEBSITE FOR OWNERS THERE IS A LOT OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME COMPLIANT WITH DIFFERENT MODEL YEARS. *TR
I HAVE RECEIVED SAFETY RECALLS FOR POTENTIALLY FATAL SYSTEM FAILURES TO MY VEHICLE. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THERE ARE NO REPLACEMENT PARTS TO FIX THIS ISSUE, AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN THEY WILL HAVE PARTS. SO UNTIL THEN I AM TO DRIVE THIS UNSAFE VEHICLE, WITH MY FAMILY IN IT AND JUST HOPE FOR THE BEST? I TRIED TO PURCHASE ANOTHER VEHICLE, AS WE TYPICALLY DO AFTER 2-3 YEARS OF FINANCING, ONLY TO FIND NOT ONE DEALERSHIP WILL BUY IT BACK FROM ME IN TRADE, INCLUDING THE ONE I PURCHASED IT FROM, DUE TO THE MAJOR SAFETY RECALLS. THE TECHNICIAN REPLACED THE IGNITION SWITCH. HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE AIR BAG SENSOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V047000 (AIR BAGS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE AIR BAG FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHTS KEEPS COMING ON. TOOK IT TO GET LOOKED AT TODAY. THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WAS BAD. IT IS GOING TO COST $1200 TO GET NEW AIRBAG INSTALLED. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM THE 09 HHR. IT IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY. CONTACTED CHEVY WITH NO RESPONSE. THE CAR WAS NEVER IN AN ACCIDENT OR EVEN BUMPED BY ANYTHING FOR A AIRBAG TO GO BAD. *TR
THE POWER STEERING MALFUNCTIONED ON MY CHEVY HHR ON 3/19/2014 FOR THE FIRST TIME. IT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE THEN, TODAY--4/3/2014 BEING THE MOST RECENT. EVERY TIME THE WARNING LIGHTS START FLASHING BECAUSE MY POWER STEERING HAS GONE OUT. THE FIRST TIME I WAS DOING 50 MPH WHILE PASSING A STATE TROOPER. BECAUSE OF THE MALFUNCTION I WAS UNABLE TO FULLY MOVE OVER A LANE AND WAS TICKETED. WHEN I EXPLAINED THE FACT THAT I WAS CONFUSED BECAUSE I DID NOT KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH THE CAR AND WAS NOT ABLE TO MOVE OVER PROPERLY THE STATE TROOPER DID NOT BELIEVE ME AND ISSUED ME A $435 TICKET! IT WAS 2 WEEKS AFTER THAT INCIDENT THAT THE CAR WAS RECALLED FOR A FAULTY POWER STEERING MOTOR. NO KIDDING. THAT TICKET IS NOT FAIR TO ME AND THE ENTIRE SITUATION IS DANGEROUS. WHEN THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT I HAVE LITTLE CONTROL OVER THE CAR. WHEN I SHUT THE CAR OFF AND RESTART IT THE POWER STEERING IS AGAIN OKAY--AT LEAST UNTIL THE NEXT TIME IT GOES OUT AND TRIES TO KILL MY FAMILY. I HAVE REPEATEDLY CONTACTED MY LOCAL CHEVY DEALER--AS I READ ONLINE I COULD GET A LOANER CAR UNTIL MINE WAS FIXED FOR THE RECALL, AND MY CALLS ARE NOT BEING RETURNED. MEANWHILE ME AND MY CHILDREN'S LIVES ARE IN DANGER. THIS IS NOT OKAY. I HAVE NO OTHER CAR TO DRIVE. I SPENT A LOT OF MONEY ON THIS VEHICLE. CHEVY SHOULD GIVE ME A LOANER CAR WHILE I WAIT FOR REPAIR--OUR LIVES ARE IN DANGER. ALSO, I HAVE A TICKET THAT I HAVE TO GO TO COURT FOR. CHEVY SHOULD BE ASHAMED. *TR

WAS SIDE SWIPED ON ROAD ON 03/14/2014... CAR BARELY TAPPED US AND WE LOST CONTROL OF THE CAR DUE TO POWER STEERING ISSUE... RAN INTO THE GUARDRAIL.. CAR WAS TOTALED WHILE THE OTHER CAR (A 2005 TOYOTA PRIUS) DROVE HOME... DRIVER HAD HEAD INJURIES WHILE PASSENGER HAD CONTUSIONS TO HIS RIGHT HAND FROM AIRBAGS. THIS CAR IS A DEATH TRAP WAITING TO HAPPEN.. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 90,000.

I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE- 2009 CHEVROLET HHR AND I ATTEMPTED TO PARK IN AN AUTO DEALER PARKING LOT WHEN I WAS UNABLE TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF! I COULD NOT TURN THE KEY AND I COULD NOT GET THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION SWITCH SO THE VEHICLE JUST CONTINUED RUNNING. I DROVE HOME AND REMOVED THE MAIN FUSE WHICH RESULTED IN THE VEHICLE SHUTTING DOWN.I HAD TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A CHEVROLET DEALER WHERE THE SWITCH AND KEY WERE REPLACED AT AN EXPENSE OF ALMOST THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS. PRIOR TO THAT PROBLEM AND EVEN NOW SINCE THE REPAIRS WERE MADE I HAVE TO MANIPULATE THE KEY TO START THE VEHICLE. I CERTAINLY HOPE GM WILL HONOR THIS SITUATION AS I HAD PREVIOUS NIGHTMARISH EXPERIENCE WITH THEM WHEN I OWNED A 1999 MALIBU (REMEMBER THE DEXCOOL CRISIS) AND AFTER SPENDING A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF MONEY(OVER $2,000) IN ENGINE/INTAKE/WATER PUMP.THERMOSTAT REPAIRS THE CLASS ACTION RESULTED IN MY GETTING A CHECK FOR $21.00(THAT'S TWENTY ONE). IF THIS SITUATION IS RESOLVED I WOULD SIMPLY LOOK FORWARD TO BEING REIMBURSED FOR THE $291.00 I JUST SPENT AND HAVING THE IGNITION SYSTEM CHECKED THOROUGHLY FOR DEFECTS AND/OR POTENTIAL DANGER. THE AIR BAG LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON AND GOES OFF FOR SERVICE. UPDATED 11/24/2014 *JS
MY CAR STARTED WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH BACK IN OCTOBER WITH THE KEY NOT SHUTTING OFF THE CAR AND HAVING TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY TO SHUT IT OFF, TOOK IT INTO THE DEALER AND THEY FIXED IT, BUT NOW THINGS ARE GETTING SCARY. EVERY OTHER DAY MY CAR IS TELLING ME THAT THE ABS SYSTEMS NEEDS FIXED AND THAT THE TRACTION CONTROL NEEDS SERVICED. THE BREAKS WERE REPLACED IN DECEMBER OF 2013 AND WE WERE TOLD THAT THERE IS NOTHING ELSE WRONG WITH THE CAR AND NOW THIS.. TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY INFORMED US THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT, BUT THE LIGHTS COME ON AND GO OFF FOR NO REASON.. THE PASSENGER SEAT BELT LOCKS ALL THE TIME AND EVEN AFTER YOU UNLATCH IT, IT STAYS LOCKED FOR SOME TIME. I AM SO FRUSTRATED OVER THIS ISSUE AND CAN'T GET ANY ANSWERS ON IT. *TR
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND DASH STARTED FLASHING AND BEEPING SAYING POWER STEERING . THE POWER STEERING QUIT WORKING WHILE TURNING ON SNOWY ROADS THIS AM. I PULLED OVER CHECKED FUSES. CALLED DEALER WHO STATES BRING IT IN. WHEN I RESTARTED CAR POWER STEERING WORKING AGAIN. THIS WAS A SCARY EXPERIENCE LATER TODAY AS IM DRIVING ON FREEWAY AT 65 OR SO POWER STEERING WENT OUT AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED BY A TECHNICIAN FROM THE MANUFACTURER; HOWEVER, THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE ANY FAILURE IN THE COMPUTER. THE INSURANCE COMPANY STATED THAT WHEN THEY DIAGNOSED THE FAILURE THE COMPUTER INDICATED THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITHIN THE AIR BAGS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,000.

BUT NONE THE LESS REALLY SCARY AND VERY HARD TO TURN GOING 20 MPH. MY BRAKES ARE VERY HARD WHEN THIS HAPPENS. MY THERMOSTAT/ COOLANT INFORMATION IS CURRENTLY DISPLAYED AS DASHES (----) ACROSS MY DASH, MAKING THIS REALLY DIFFICULT TO KNOW IF IT IS HOT OR HAS RUN OUT AND MY AC IS CONNECTED TO THIS ALSO SO WHEN IT DECIDES TO WORK MY AC WILL WORK. IT WILL TURN OFF AND ON WHILE DRIVING TOO. MY MPH READS MY SPEED GOING 20 MPH OVER WHAT I AM ACTUALLY DRIVING. MY CAR HAS COMPLETELY SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND OFF MAKING IT MORE DIFFICULT TO GET CODES.
MY 2009 HHR HAS WHAT IS REFERRED TO AS THE MAY 15, 2014 GM TAIL LIGHT MALFUNCTION. THE MALFUNCTION IS CAUSED FROM FAULTY WIRING AND CAUSES THE BRAKE LIGHTS ILLUMINATE WITHOUT TOUCHING THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THEY REMAIN ON WHILE DRIVING. THIS MALFUNCTION ALSO DISABLES SAFETY FEATURES LIKE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL ' WHICH TRIES TO CORRECT FOR SKIDS ' AND PANIC BRAKING ASSIST, WHICH IS DESIGNED TO MAKE SURE THE VEHICLE'S FULL BRAKING POWER IS BEING USED IN AN EMERGENCY. IT ALSO DISABLES THE CRUISE CONTROL AND THE TRACTION CONTROL. IN 2014 G.M. SAID IT KNEW OF HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS AND 13 ACCIDENTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PROBLEM. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL NEAR ACCIDENTS AND SEVERAL ISSUES OF ROAD RAGE FROM OTHER DRIVERS SINCE MY HHR BEGAN THE MALFUNCTIONING IN FEBRUARY 2014 WHICH IS WHEN I FIRST CONTACTED GM TO GET IT FIXED. SINCE THEN I HAVE FILED COMPLAINTS WITH THE NHTSA, THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION, THE STATE OF WISCONSIN CONSUMER PROTECTION AGENCY AND GM BUT HAVE NOT YET HAD ANYONE STEP UP AND FIX THE PROBLEM. SINCE THE MALFUNCTION CAUSES THE BCM TO LOSE MEMORY WITH THE BRAKE POSITIONING SENSOR I DID TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A CERTIFIED GM DEALERSHIP AND HAD THEM RE-LEARN THE MEMORY BETWEEN THE TWO. THIS SOLVED THE PROBLEM TEMPORARILY AND LASTED ABOUT TWO MONTHS. I CANNOT AFFORD TO HAVE THIS DONE EVERY TWO MONTH AS A SOLUTION. GM NEEDS TO BE ORDERED TO FIX THE ISSUES CORRECTLY BEFORE SOMEONE IS FATALLY INJURED.

I AVERAGE ROUGHLY 10,000-12,000 BEFORE I NEED TO REPLACE BULBS. MY DRIVER SIDE LAMP WAS OUT, AND TONIGHT WHILE DRIVING THE PASSENGER SIDE LAMP WENT OUT.
