The vehicle was towed to a mechanic, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, but was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 71,000.

The contact owns a 2004 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated while driving approximately 40 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. The contact was able to pull over and restart the vehicle after waiting approximately 5-10 minutes. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V701000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer but was awaiting diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2014 CHEVEROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH AND WHEN THE CONTACT WAS EXITING OFF THE EXIT RAMP, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT TRIED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE BUT FAILED. THE CONTACT WAS ATTEMPTED TO PUSH THE VEHICLE TO SIDE OF THE ROAD WHEN THEY NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE HOOD. THE CONTACT OPENED THE HOOD AND SAW A FIRE COMING FROM THE UNDERNEATH THE ENGINE. NO ONE WAS INJURED. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT CAME AND EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WAS A BATTERY WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO CHARITY TOWING AND RECOVERY (4106 S 7TH ST, PHOENIX, AZ 85040) THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED FOR CAUSED OF FAILURE. THE LOCAL DEALER OR THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
MY IGNITION SWITCH HAS A RECALL THAT SOMETIMES TAKES FOREVER TO GET KEY TO TURN OVER, THE STEERING SHAFT AND KNUCKLES ALSO HAVE A RECALL THAT MAKE ME DRIFT AND SLIDE ON DRY ROADS, ENGINE AND COOLING SYSTEM AS WELL HAS RECALL.
WHEN USING THE DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT SEAT BELT ON MY DAUGHTER'S CAR ON FRIDAY, 11/13/2020, THE METAL BELT CLIP CLICKS INTO THE BUCKLE WITH AN AUDIBLE CLICK. THIS APPEARS TO BE SAFELY ENGAGED, YET IF I TUG ON THE BELT, THE CLIP POPS OUT OF THE BUCKLE. I TRIED THIS REPEATEDLY AND HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE EACH TIME. MY DAUGHTER TOLD ME THIS HAD BEEN OCCURRING FOR SEVERAL WEEKS. REALIZING THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED, I CALLED THE GM DEALER FOR HELP. THEY TOLD ME THE BUCKLE ASSEMBLY IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE TO BE REPLACED. I THEN CALLED GM DIRECTLY TO SEE ABOUT GETTING THIS PART AND TO REPORT THE SERIOUSNESS OF THIS SAFETY CONCERN. THEY CREATED A SERVICE REQUEST CASE NUMBER 9-6357435144. THEY IN TURN DIRECTED ME BACK TO THE DEALER I ORIGINALLY CALLED. THE DEALER'S SERVICE TECHNICIAN THEN SUGGESTED I GET A USED BELT BUCKLE FROM A JUNKYARD. I CALLED GM AGAIN AND THEY ATTEMPTED TO DIRECT ME AGAIN BACK TO THE ORIGINAL DEALER I HAD CALLED AND THEY CONNECTED ME TO PREVIOUSLY. WHEN I TOLD THEM I NEEDED TO HAVE THEM FIND THIS PART FOR ME, THEY SIMPLY DIRECTED ME TO ANOTHER NEARBY DEALER. WHEN SPEAKING TO THIS DEALER, THEY DID NOT HAVE THE BUCKLE ASSEMBLY ALSO, BUT WERE ABLE TO LOCATE OTHER DEALERS THAT HAD IT. IT WILL TAKE A WEEK FOR THIS PART TO ARRIVE. IN THE MEANTIME, MY DAUGHTER IS DRIVING IN THE TWIN CITIES WITHOUT A SEAT BELT AS IT IS DEFECTIVE. I PRAY SHE DOES NOT GET IN AN ACCIDENT AS IT IS WINTER IN MINNESOTA. PLEASE NOTIFY OTHER OWNERS OF THIS MODEL CAR THAT THEY MAY HAVE A SIMILAR BAD EXPERIENCE AND NOTIFY GM TO TAKE THIS PROBLEM MORE SERIOUSLY THAN THEY HAVE WITH ME SO FAR. RESPECTFULLY, GLEN WOLF

THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER EXITING THE VEHICLE HE NOTICED AN OIL LEAK. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO HIS RESIDENCE. WHILE INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT BECAME AWARE THAT AN OIL LINE WAS DETACHED AND WAS VISIBLE FROM THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE WHEEL WELL. THE OIL LINE WAS RE-ATTACHED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BOMNIN CHEVROLET MANASSAS LOCATED AT 8000 SUDLEY RD, MANASSAS, VA 20109, (571) 364-7245, AND THE SERVICE MANAGER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 108,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START-UP ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DYER CHEVROLET FORT PIERCE (4200 S. US HWY 1, FORT PIERCE, FL 34982) AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART WAS NOT YET AVAILABLE AND THAT SHE WOULD RECEIVE A CALL WHEN THE PARTS BECAME AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 120,000. WELL THE CODE WAS TELLING ME TO REPLACE THE IGNITION SWITCH. THE CURRENT ONE IS RATHER LOOSE AND DOESN'T TURN OFF ALL THE WAY WITH OUT A LITTLE EXTRA WHICH HAS BEEN CAUSING OTHER ELECTRICAL ISSUES. AND NOW MY STEERING WHEEL IS LEANING AND PULLING TO THE LEFT OUT OF NOWHERE. AND THESE ALL HAPPEN SITTING STILL OR MOVING. NOT SO BAD ON THE HIGHWAY BUT CITY STREETS ARE HELL

I OWN A 2004 CHEVY IMPALA 3.8L WITH APPROX 179,000 MILEW.MY COMPLAINT IS IN RELATION TO THE PASSLOCK III SYSTEM AND THE OVERWHELMING AMOUNT OF "NO START" COMPLAINTS FROM ALL THE DIFFERENT MODELS OF GM CAR OWNERS ACROSS THE BOARD WITH THIS FAULTY ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM. I LIVE RIGHT SMACK IN THE HEART OF THE SOUTH IN A VERY SMALL TOWN IN TENNESSEE AND KEEP IN MIND, IT IS REALLY HOT AND HUMIDITY IS RIDICULOUS THIS TIME OF YEAR. I PICKED UP MY DAUGHTER AT A FRIENDS HOUSE AFTER WORK, ABOUT 5:25 PM LAST THURDAY, 9/5/19, AND MY CAR DIED AS I'M DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, LIKE THE ENGINE JUS SHUT OFF FOR NO REASON AT ALL , I HAD FILLED MY TANK A FEW DAYS PRIOR AND KNEW THAT WAS NOT THE PROBLEM. MY FIRST THOUGHT WAS TO PUT IN NEUTRAL BEFORE LOSING MUCH SPEED AND TRIED TO CRANK SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE HITTING MY FLASHERS BECAUSE THERE WERE A FEW CARS BEHIND ME ON A 2 LANE ROAD WITH VERY LITTLE SHOULDER ROOM TO PULL OVER OFF ROAD. I POPPED THE GOOD TO SEE IF I COULD SEE OR MAYBE EVEN SMELL ANYTHING THAT MAY HAVE CAUSED THIS PROBLEM. I'M MAKING SURE MY BATTERY CABLES AREN'T LOOSE, NO FLUIDS LEAKING OR SPEWING AND LUCKILY A STATE TROOPER WAS PASSING THRU AND STOPPED TO SEE IF I NEEDED HELP AND TURNED HIS LIGHTS ON SO TRAFFIC WOULD KNOW THERE WERE PROBLEMS AND COULD SLOWLY GO AROUND. TO MY SURPRISE, AFTER EXPLAINING WHAT HAPPENED, HE SAID HE HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE WITH HIS DAUGHTERS CAR, 2002 IMPALA, AND TOLD ME TO TRY THE 10 MINUTE RESET PROCEDURE AND SURE ENOUGH, AFTER THAT 10 MINUTE RESET, SHE FIRED RIGHT HOME AND WAS ABLE TO GET HOME, HOME HAD HE NOT COME ALONG AND ALREADY KNOWN BOUT THIS FAULTY SYSTEM PRIOR, MY DAUGHTER AND I WOULD HAVE BEEN STUCK FOR SOME TIME ON THE SIDE OF A 2 LANE HIGHWAY IN THE EARLY SEPTEMBER HUMIDITY MOST LIKELY WAITING FOR A TOW. UPON RESEARCHING AFTER, FOUND GM ARE AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND SHOULD HAVE TO FIX IT, BEEN NEGLECTED LONG ENOUGH! THANK YOU!
THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM LIGHT HAS COME ON. IT MAKE A GRINDING NOISE, BRAKES FEELS LIKE THEY ARE LOCKING UP AND THE POWER STEERING MAKES IT HARD TO STEER.IT HAS HAPPENED WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION TURNING BRAKING AND STEERING. IT HAS HAPPENEDPULLING OUT FROM PLACES ON THE HIGHWAY AND ALL STREETS.

THE CONTACT THEN RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED, THE CONTACT THEN DROVE THE VEHICLE TO A PARKING LOT. NO POLICE OR FIRE REPORT WAS FILED AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. THE DEALER NEITHER THE MANUFACTURER HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THE VEHICLE FAILURE. TAKATA RECALL MY CAR HAS BEEN JERKING EVERY TIME IT WOULD SWITCHES GEARS. I DIDN'T REALLY THINK IT WAS AN ISSUE UNTIL I RESEARCHED AND I SEEN ALL OF PEOPLE HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS. THEY ALL SAID THE SAME THING IT WAS THE "TRANSMISSION" WELL EVERY TIME I DRIVE I WOULD BE AT A STOP SIGN OR AT A RED LIGHT. AND WHEN I GET MY GO AHEAD MY COULD WOULD NOT MOVE UNLESS I PUT THE PEDAL TO THE FLOOR, EVEN THEN MY CAR WILL JERK BACK AND PEEL OUT. IM AFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR, I THINK ONE DAY IT MIGHT STOP MOVING.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS EXCLUDED FROM NTHSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 04V287000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THERE WERE ELEVEN TSBS ON THE BRAKES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TRANMISSON, EVAP, EVAPORRATIVE EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM LEAKING
I CALLED CHEVROLET CUSTOMER SERVICE ABOUT A RECALL ON THE CAR. I EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH AND I WERE TOLD IT WAS COVERED UNDER THE RECALL #14V400000 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: IGNITION. THEY HAD IT TOWED TO A CHEVROLET SERVICE PLACE TO BE FIXED. I RECEIVED A CALL THAT THE PROBLEM WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL AND I WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL CHARGES OF THE WORK DONE ON THE VEHICLE. A KEY WAS MADE UNDER THE RECALL AND THE IGNITION KEY LOCK CYLINDER WAS NOT REPLACED. I PAID THE BILL AND HAD IT TOWED BACK. THE MAN THAT DELIVERED IT PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND IT WOULD NOT COME OUT OR TURN. I DO NOT FEEL I SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHARGES AND THEY NEEDED TO CHANGE THE IGNITION KEY LOCK CYLINDER. THE CAR WAS IN THE DRIVEWAY AND WHEN A PERSON WENT TO START THE CAR THE KEY WOULD NOT TURN AND WOULD NOT COME OUT OF THE IGNITION SWITCH. RESULTING IN THE VEHICLE COULDN'T BE STARTED. I FEEL THIS WHOLE RECALL WAS HANDLED IMPROPERLY AND I SHOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHARGES. THE FRUSTRATION OF HOW IT WAS HANDLED I FEEL THEY NEEDED TO BE MORE PROFESSIONAL ABOUT THE WAY THEY HANDLED THIS RECALL BEFORE THEY TOWED THE VEHICLE TO A SERVICE PLACE AND THEN MAKE ME RESPONSIBLE FOR CHARGES OF WORK DONE ON THE VEHICLE AND TOWING VEHICLE BACK NOT FIXED.

THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE AND THAT THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V400000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) BY THE DEALER PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 140,000.
WHEN TRYING TO START MY VEHICLE, THE SECURITY LIGHT COMES ON AND THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START FOR 10 MINUTES. THIS OCCURS ON A WEEKLY BASIS AND OCCURS IN MANY LOCATIONS. SOME OF THE LOCATIONS INCLUDE VERY RURAL AREAS WITH NO PHONE SIGNAL, DURING HIGH TEMPERATURE DAYS WHEN A CHILD IS PRESENT IN THE VEHICLE. TEN MINUTES IS A LONG TIME TO SIT WITH NO COOLING AVAILABLE AND NO ABILITY TO CONTACT ANYONE. THIS OCCURS WITH NO WARNING AND NO CERTAIN WEATHER. GMC IS AWARE OF THE PASSCODE/PASSKEY FAILURES BUT HAS REFUSED TO RECALL SUCH MALFUNCTIONS, EVEN THOUGH IT AFFECTS THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES.
DID YOU KNOW THE RECALL ON THE IGNITION KEY FIX HAD ONLY A ONE YEAR WARRANTY? THEY FILLED THE SLOT WITH TWO PLASTIC HALVES THAT SNAPPED TOGETHER AND KEPT THE KEY RING CENTERED SO IT WOULD NOT TURN OFF THE IGNITION IF YOU HIT A BUMP. MY KEY CAME APART AND I CAN NOT GET IT TO SNAP BACK TOGETHER. THE DEALER SAYS THE WARRANTY IS EXPIRED AND SUGGESTED I GLUE THEM ON THE KEY. HAS THIS HAPPENED TO ANY ONE ELSE?
TURNED ON MY CAR STARTED PUSHING ON THE GAS MY CAR MADE A WEIRD VIBRATION TYPE SOUND. CAME UP ON MESSAGE BOARD TRACTION CONTROL AFTER A COUPLE TIMES OF IT DOING THAT, THE ABS AND TAX LIGHT COME ON AND ON THE MESSAGE WINDOW IT SAYS SYSTEM TRACTION SERVICE. IT KINDA FREAKED ME OUT CAUSE I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT WENT TO GO HIT THE GAS AND IT SAID TRACTION CONTROL AND I MOVED A LITTLE THAN I HAD TO LET GO OF GAS THEN TRY AGAIN. ALSO HAVE HAD A COUPLE INCIDENTS WHERE I GO TO BREAK AND IT MAKES A VIBRATION FEELING ON THE BRAKE AND BRINGS UP TRACTION CONTROL AGAIN. REALLY WOULD LIKE THIS CHECKED OUT VERY CONCERNED. DON'T WANT TO GET IN AN ACCIDENT CAUSE MY CAR FAILS TO TAKE OFF.
THE SHIFTER GOES ALL THE WAY TO PARK BUT THEY KEY WILL NOT TURN TO THE OFF POSITION SO YOU CANT REMOVE THE KEY.
I HAVE HAD MANY PROBLEMS WITH MY CAR STARTING TO DUE A SECURITY GLITCH. FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS MANY TIMES MY CAR WILL NOT START BECAUSE IT TECHNICALLY THINKS I'M TRYING TO BREAK INTO MY OWN CAR. THE SECURITY LIGHT STARTS BLINKING AND WHEN I TURN THE IGNITION IT DOESN'T START. I HAVE TO TURN THE KEY TO 'ON' ON THE IGNITION AND SIT FOR ABOUT 10 OR SOMETIMES 20 MINUTES UNTIL THE CAR STARTS. THIS HAS BEEN VERY FRUSTRATING SITUATION FOR ME AND DEPENDING ON THE SITUATION I'M IN IT ALSO COULD BE DANGEROUS. I'VE SEEN MANY COMPLAINTS ONLINE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM WITH CHEVY IMPALAS IN GENERAL.
WHEN BACKING OUT OF THE DRIVE WAY AND GO TO ACCELERATE THE ABS/TRACTION CONTROL ENGAGES AND CAUSES THE CAR TO STOP. IT ALSO HAPPENS ON THE ROAD ONCE U COME TO A STOP AND OR STOP AND TURN ONTO A STREET OR HIGHWAY. ALMOST GOT REAR ENDED A FEW TIMES. I READ ONLINE AT ITS HAPPENING ALOT TO PEOPLE ALL OVER. THIS PROBLEM IS CONSTANT EVER SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR. PREVIOUS OWER ADVISED ME OF THE PROBLEM AS WELL.

THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY WOULD SEND AN INSPECTOR TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 104,000.
THERE IS A RECALL ON THIS CAR. WE BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER WITH AN APPOINTMENT AND THE DEALER DID NOT PERFORM THE RECALL SERVICE.
ON 01/03/2017, ON A BUSY SNOW PACKED INTERSECTION, WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, I WAS PUSHED OFF THE ROAD BY A LARGE PICKUP TRUCK, INTO A CURB, WHICH CURB IS TALLER THAN MY IMPALA'S FRAME TO GROUND CLEARANCE. MY LEFT FRONT TIRE AND RIM WERE RUINED. THE DRIVER OF THE PICKUP CONTINUED NORTH LEAVING THE SCENE OF THE ACCIDENT. PRIOR TO GM'S BANKRUPTCY, MY IMPALA SS, WHICH WAS MADE IN CANADA, IS A RUSTY, POORLY PAINTED, HASTILY THROWN TOGETHER PIECE OF JUNK. IT NEEDS MANY USED PARTS WITH WHICH TO MAKE NEEDED REPAIRS. REASONABLY PRICED, QUALITY USED PARTS ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE. *TR
TURN SIGNALS DO NOT OPERA RATE ALL THE TIME, WHEN THEY FAIL HITTING THE HAZARD LIGHTS BUTTON SEAMS TO MAKE THEM OPERATE.
MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH RANDOMLY FAILS TO TURN ON LOW BEAM IN MOTION AND STOPPED. TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE WITH SOME LIGHTS ON AT NIGHT, LEFT HAND HAS TO HOLD DOWN THE HIGH BEAM AS IT FAILS TO STAY ON. STEERING WHEEL MUST THEN BE OPERATED WITH ONLY WHEN HAND. REPLACING THE THE MULTI FUNCTION SWITCH FIXES THE PROBLEM UNTIL IT FAILS AGAIN. AVERAGING 6 MONTHS BETWEEN FAILURES AND HAVE REPLACED THE SWITCH 3 TIMES ALREADY.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V400000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE KEY PAD WAS PREVIOUSLY REPLACED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
I WAS DRIVING AT NIGHT AND TURNED ON MY BRIGHTS AND SHORTLY AFTER MY HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT. I HAD TO MESS WITH THE SWITCH BEFORE THEY WOULD COME BACK ON. THEY KEPT DOING THIS UNTIL I SWITCHED BACK TO DIMS. *TR
AFTER SITTING FOR A COUPLE MONTHS, UPON DRIVING THE CAR AGAIN THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS DON'T WORK. REPLACED THE MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH, CHECKED ALL THE RELAYS AND FUSES. STILL NOT WORKING. HIGH BEAMS AND DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS WORK. THIS BASICALLY RENDERS THE VEHICLE UNDRIVABLE, AS IT GETS DARK AT 4:30 IN THE WINTER, AND I AM NOT ABLE TO DRIVE IT AT NIGHT. *TR
I'VE OWNED A 2004 CHEVROLET IMPALA FOR THE PAST 7 YEARS. EVERY YEAR OR SO MY ABS, SERVICE TRACTION SYSTEM, AND TRACK OFF LIGHTS USUALLY DURING A NON-EVENT SITUATION. I PUT MY BRAKES ON AND THEY LOCK AND ALL OF A SUDDEN ALL MY LIGHTS ARE ON. I'VE SPENT A LOT OF MONEY CONSTANTLY FIXING THIS PROBLEM. EVERYONE ELSE WITH AN IMPALA SEEMS TO HAVE CONSTANT ISSUES WITH THIS AS WELL. I'M NOW BEING ASKED TO COMPLETELY CHANGE OUT MY ABS MODULE & CONTROLLER FOR A WHOPPING $3K ON A VEHICLE WITH ONLY 130K MILES AFTER ALREADY SPENDING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OVER THE YEARS FOR ABS/TRACTION ISSUES. THIS IS CLEARLY A PERSISTENT SAFETY ISSUE WHICH IS COSTING IMPALA OWNERS AN ARM AND A LEG AND NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO. I'VE OWED MANY VEHICLES WITH MUCH HIGHER MILEAGE AND NEVER HAD ISSUES LIKE THIS BEFORE.
FOR THE PAST FEW WEEKS I WILL GO TO START MY CAR AND IT WILL NOT CRANK OVER. BUT THE SECURITY LIGHT IN THE MESSAGE CENTER WILL BLINK CONSTANTLY. AT TIMES WHILE I'M DRIVING IT WILL BEGIN TO FLASH ALSO. IT TAKES ABOUT 15-20 MINUTES BEFORE MY VECHILE WILL START AFTER MULTIPLE TRIES.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.
