I CRASHED HEADING DOWN A HILL .I CRASHED INTO A TELEPHONE POLE AFTER MY CAR SUDDENLY REVVED UP,GAINED SPEED AS I HEADED TOWARDS A TELEPHONE POLE ,WITH LOSS OF POWER STEERING ,BRAKES BECAUSE MY CAR QUIT AFTER GAINING SPEED DUE TO THE RPMS AMPING UP ON THEIR OWN AND GOING DOWN A HILL. WHEN I HIT THE POLE,THE TELEPHONE LINES SNAPPED AND I WAS TRAPPED IN THE CAR BECAUSE THEY LANDED ON MY DRIVER WINDOW AND WERE SHOOTING OUT SPARKS AS IF THEY WERE ROMAN CANDLES AND A FIRE STARTED ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY CAR IN SOME PINE STRAW. WHEN THE FIREMEN WAS ABLE TO GET ME OUT OF THE CAR HE CAME TO THE PASSENGER SIDE AND BY THEN I HAD TAKEN MY SEAT BELT OFF AND THE FIREMAN ADVISED ME TO GET OUT OF THE PASSENGER SIDE IF I WAS ABLE AND I TOLD HIM THAT I WAS SCARED TO LET OFF THE BRAKE BECAUSE I THOUGHT FOR SOME REASON BEING OUT OF MY HEAD THAT THE CAR WAS GOING TO ROLL IF I LET OFF THE BRAKE AND HE TOOK HIS HAND AND SLAMMED THE CAR UP IN TO PARK BECAUSE I DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE I HAD NOT PUT IT IN PARK. HE SAID YOU CAN LET YOUR FOOT OFF THE BRAKE BECAUSE IT WILL NOT ROLL AND I SAID I'M TOO SCARED .I ASKED..CAN I PUT THE EMERGENCY BRAKE ON AND HE SAID YES AND WHEN I DID IT WENT STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR. THEN I CONTINUED TO COME OUT THE PASSENGER SIDE AND HOP TO THE SIDEWALK WITH MY FEET TOGETHER JUST IN CASE ANYTHING WAS HOT AND TO KEEP FROM GETTING ELECTROCUTIED JUST IN CASE SOMETHING WAS STILL HOT AROUND US. WHEN I WAS STRUCK BY THE AIRBAG THE AND THE SEAT BELT DID ITS JOB I SUPPOSE BUT FOR SOME REASON MY NECK WAS YANKED SO HARD THAT IT HURTS SO BADD EVERYDAY WHEN I DIDN'T GO TO THE HOSPITAL.I WAS UNAWARE OF ANY RECALLS WHEN I PURCHASED FROM A DEALERSHIP ON JAN 18 2020. THE DAY BEFORE I CRASHED WE WERE TRAVELING UPHILL &I HAD A FRIEND WITH ME THAT HELPED GRAB THE WHEEL UNTIL IT STOPPED AFTER IT REVVED UP & QUIT.I ATTEMPTED TO CRANK IT 3XS WITH SUCCESS. I WAS STUNNED AS TO WHY IT DID IT .
I HAVE PAID TO HAVE ACTUATORS ON BOTH SIDES REPAIRED FROM ABOUT A MONTH AFTER PURCHASED 5-11-2012 TO 6-2020 A TOTAL OF 8 TIMES. THE LAST TIME IN DECEMBER 2029 AND IT STARTED CLICKING A FEW WEEKS AFTER REPAIR. IT STARTS CLICKING AS SOON AS I UNLOCK THE DOORS AND CONTINUES TO CLICK AFTER LOCKING DOORS. I RETIRED DUE TO HEALTH FIVE YEARS AGO AND UNABLE TO GET ANOTHER CAR. I CAN NOT AFFORD TO KEEP REPAIRING ACTUATORS. I HAVE WRITTEN TO GM AND CALLED ASKING THAT THIS BE MADE INTO SOMETHING THEY WOULD REPAIR NO CHARGE AS I HAVE SINCE TALKED WITH SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I HAVE TO USE THE THE CAR DRIVE MY HUSBAND TO VA FOR TREATMENTS AND DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS AND IT GET VERY WORRISOME AS I HAVE TO DRIVE 140 MILES ROUND TRIP EACH TIME. ALL I ASK IS FOR GM TO AKNOWLEDGE THIS PROBLEM AND FIX MY CAR.
WARNING SAYS ENGINE POWER DOWN. GM DEALER SAID RECALL EXPIRED FOR THROTTLE/PEDAL POSITION SENSOR. MY VEHICLE IS UNDER 100,000 MILES I NEVER RECEIVED A NOTICE OF THIS RECALL. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE IT FIXED UNDER RECALL.
PURCHASED VEHICLE AND THE FOLLOWING DAY THE RIGHT FRONT HEADLIGHT WENT OUT AND HAD TO BE TAKEN IN FOR ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. LATER ABOUT 4 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE THE AIR BAG IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT STARTED TO MAKE A KNOCKING SOUND AND THEN STOPPED. JUST RECENTLY IT BEGAN MAKING THE KNOCKING SOUND AGAIN WHEN I OPEN MY CAR DOOR, AS WELL AS CLOSE IT. IT LASTS ABOUT 3 MINUTES AND THEN STOPS.
GEAR SHIFT IS STICKING IN PARK. *TR
POWER REDUCES IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. IF I SLOW BECAUSE OF TRAFFIC IT JERKS LIKE BRAKES ARE STILL ENGAGED. ACTS LIKE TRANSMISSION GOING OUT. THIS CAN CAUSE SOMEONE TO GET RUN INTO FROM BEHIND. THERE WAS A RECALL EARLIER THIS YEAR. THE MILEAGE WAS NOT ENOUGH TO COVER MY VECHILE. THERE SHOULD BE NO MILEAGE LIMIT. *TR
SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON. THE LIGHT CAME ON WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I WAS NOT IN AN ACCIDENT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT HIT. THIS SAME ISSUE APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN REPORTED PREVIOUSLY.
WHILE DRIVING OIL PRESSURE LOW STOP ENGINE COMES ON IN MY DIC EVEN THOUGH MY OIL IS PERFECTLY FINE MY REAR TURNING SIGNAL IS NOT FLASHING BUT IS LIT AND WORKING FOR EVERYTHING ELSE MY TEMPERATURE GAUGE SHORTS OUT AT TIMES EVEN AFTER I REPLACED THE SENSOR PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF EVEN WITH PASSENGER INSIDE NHTSA RECALL NUMBER 16V507 NHTSA RECALL NUMBER 14V355 I BELIEVE THE TRUE PROBLEM IS THE BCM THE DOOR ACTUATORS ARE FAULTY
THE AIR BAG LIGHT STAYS ON. I SCANNED MY VEHICLE WITH A OBD 2 SCANNER AND NO CODE WAS DISPLAYED. I TRIED TO ERASE THE AIR BAG LIGHT BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. O AM WORRIED BECAUSE MY MOTHER IN LAW WHO IS 62 YEARS OLD DRIVES THE VEHICLE . THIS IS DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE . I CALLED THE 800 NUMBER AND GAVE MY VIN NUMBER. PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS THIS SAFETY ISSUE OR AIR BAG RECALL LIGHT PROBLEM.

I BOUGHT THIS CAR FROM THE CAR LOT AND THE SENSORS KEEP GOING OFF, THE SEAT BELT DOESN'T LOCK UP, SOMETIMES IT SAYS ENGINE IS HOT TURN OF AC WHEN IT ISN'T ON. AND WHEN TURNING IT'S WILL SOMETIMES MAKE A VIBRATING NOISE THAT WON'T ALLOW ME TO GO THEN THE ACCELERATOR KICKS BACK IN TO GO. *TR
THE SERVICE AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON WHEN STARTING, DRIVING & STANDING STILL.
THIS SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED ON OUR PREVIOUS 2009 CHEV IMPALA, IN THAT THE "SERVICE AIR BAG" MESSAGE STARTED SHOWING ON THE DIC INTERMITTENTLY, THEN CONSTANTLY. I AM FINDING MULTIPLE CASES OF CHEVROLET VEHICLES DOING THIS ON ONLINE FORUMS, WITH HIGH BILLS FROM CHEVY DEALERS, BUT THE PROBLEM IS NOT SOLVED. I AM ATTACHING A PHOTO OF THE DAMAGE FROM HITTING A DEER THAT DID NOT DEPLOY AIRBAGS ON OUR PREVIOUS 2009 WAS TOTALED. WE JUST PURCHASED ANOTHER 2009 BECAUSE WE LOVE THE DESIGN OF THE CAR, BUT AFTER DRIVING 4.5 HOURS HOME, THE VERY NEXT DAY WE ARE SEEING THE "SERVICE AIR BAG" MESSAGE ON THIS CAR.
GAS PEDAL HAS LAG TO IT. ALMOST EVERY TIME YOU GO TO TAKE OFF SOMETIME IT DOESN'T RESPOND TILL YOUR QUARTER WAY INTO PUSHING PETAL MUST PUSH PETAL FARTHER IN BEFORE IT WILL ACCELERATE CAUSING IT TO JERK HARD. MY FRIEND HAS SAME CAR AND PROBLEM ALSO SERVOS IN DASH FOR HEATER KEEP CLICKING AND MALFUNCTIONING AFTER MULTIPLE REPLACEMENTS, MY OTHER FRIENDS 2010 IMPALA DOES THIS AS WELL.
MY CAR KEEPS SAYING ENGINE REDUCE POWER
IT WILL NOT CRANK I INSTALLED A BRAND NEW STARTER THE IGNITION SWITCH IS THE PROBLEM
I PLACED THE CAR IN PARK ON THE STREET IN MY COMMUNITY, AND LEFT IT RUNNING WHILE DROPPING SOMETHING IN A MAILBOX. TRIED TO SHIFT INTO DRIVE TO LEAVE, AND IT WOULD NOT SHIFT. MY FOOT WAS FIRMLY ON THE BRAKE BUT THE CONSOLE SHIFTER WOULD NOT BUDGE. I WAS FORCED TO LEAVE MY CAR JUST A FEW DOORS AWAY FROM HOME UNTIL THE NEXT DAY WHEN MY SON CAME AND SHOWED ME HOW TO REMOVE THE CONSOLE COVER TO PRESS THE SILVER BUTTON AND RELEASE THE SHIFT. I HAVE SEEN MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT A BTSI (?) SOLENOID OR LOOSE WIRES. WHY IS THERE NO RECALL? BEING STUCK COULD BE VERY HAZARDOUS TO SAFETY.
DROVE MY VEHICLE TO ATTEND CHURCH ON A SUNDAY MORNING. AFTER CHURCH, RETURN TO MY VEHICLE TO GO HOME. I STARTED MY VEHICLE AND PUT IT IN DRIVE GEAR. THE VEHICLE WOULDN'T MOVE. I SHIFTED IT TO 2ND GEAR AND IT MOVED SLOWLY AND I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE HOME. I GOT NO PRIOR WARNING OF ANY PROBLEM BEFORE PARKING. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND IT SCARED ME BECAUSE IT COULD HAVE OCCURRED WHILE I WAS ON THE BUSY INTERSTATE. I HAVE NOT HAD IT REPAIRED BECAUSE THE PROBLEM CAN'T BE ISOLATED BY THE TRANSMISSION REPAIR SHOPS BECAUSE THERE IS NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTED FINE PRIOR TO THIS. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 117,000 MILES.
THE SERVICE AIR BAG LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON WHILE WE ARE DRIVING OUR CAR. AND I'M WORRIED THAT THE AIR BAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY IN A ACCIDENT, OR THEY MAY DEPLOY WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. AND PEOPLE HAVE TAKEN THERE CAR IN TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET FIXED AND THE DEALERSHIP CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHY THIS IS HAPPENING. AND THEY CAN'T SEEM TO FIX IT. PLUS OUR SERVICE OUR TRACTION CONTROL KEEPS COMING ON AND THE DEALERSHIP CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHY THIS IS HAPPENING. THIS SEEMS TO BE THE PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR AND THE DEALERSHIP CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHY THIS IS HAPPENING SO THEY CAN'T FIX IT. SO I'M WORRIED THAT THIS CAR ISN'T SAFE TO DRIVE BECAUSE THE AIR BAGS MIGHT NOT DEPLOY IN A ACCIDENT OR IF THEY WILL JUST DEPLOY DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD.
2009 CHEVY IMPALA TPS SENSOR KEEPS APPEARING BUT TIRE DEALER COULDN'T DX PROBLEM PASS SIDE RIGHT FRONT. TODAY AIR BAG P/S SIDE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT CAME ON. DEALER SOLD AS IS. THINK NONE OF THIS SHOULD HAVE NEVER GONE THRU MD STATE INSPECTION. PLEASE HELP
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY WAS DEFECTIVE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FAILURE CAUSED THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR TO ILLUMINATE ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THERE WERE NO OPEN RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT REACHED OUT TO A COUPLE OF UNKNOWN DEALERS TO HAVE THE VEHICLE DIAGNOSED AND THE DEFECT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
AFTER I GETTING THE TRANSMISSION FULLY REPAIRED AFTER IT WENT OUT OF NOWERE ANYWAY I WAS DRIVING AND THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP ON ME AND THE SINS ARE STARTED GOING CRAZY IN THE CAR AND I AM ONE PAYMENT AWAY FROM OWNING THE VEHICLE AND THE LAST FEW MONTHS STARTING THE BEGINNING OF THIS YEAR I'VE NOTICED ONE PROBLEM AFTER ANOTHER THE SEAT BELT IN THE PASSENGER'S FRONT SIDE DOES NOT WANT TO LOCK ALSO IT'S SAYING THAT IT NEEDS SERVICE AND AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED I BOUGHT THIS CAR BARELY TWO YEARS AGO IN 2017 I'M FINANCING IT ON A LEASE ONCE I FINISH THIS LAST PAYMENT IT'LL BE A LITTLE OVER 7,000 THAT I PAID FOR IT I FEEL LIKE THE DEALER GOT OVER ON ME BECAUSE IT'S MY FIRST VEHICLE AND I DIDN'T KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I WAS DOING THIS WASN'T THE CAR THAT I WANTED IF ANYTHING THEY AVOIDED SELLING ME THE CAR THAT I WANTED AND GAVE ME THIS ONE EVERYTHING SEEMED FINE FOR AWHILE BUT SLOWLY STARTED TO ALL BREAK DOWN THE TIRES ARE STARTING TO SAY TRACTION CONTROL AND ABS IS ON AND NEVER GOES OFF THE CAR SHAKES WHEN I DRIVE ALSO THE WINDOWS ARE STARTING TO GET STUCK WHERE THEY MIGHT WANT TO ROLL UP IN MIGHT NOT I HAVE ALREADY HAD TO REDO THE TRANSMISSION AND I HAVE ALREADY HACKED YOU PUT A NEW HEAD GASKET AND NOW I'M GOING TO HAVE TO REPAIR THE AXLE AND A MOTOR MOUNT AND I DON'T KNOW BUT THIS CAR IS NOT SAFE THE CAR DEALERSHIP SOLD ME A VEHICLE BASICALLY AND SCAMMED ME BECAUSE I DID NOT KNOW EXACTLY WHAT LEASING A USED CAR WAS ABOUT THE CAR DID LOCK UP ON ME WHEN I WAS DRIVING I DID NOT CRASH UNFORTUNATELY BUT IT PULLED ME TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND I HAD TO PULL TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROAD TO AVOID ANOTHER CAR TURNING INTO ME AND CRASHING THEN I PUSHED AS HARD AS I COULD AND GOT HOME CUZ IT WASN'T THAT FAR AND I HAVE MY FIANCE CHECK OUT THE CAR. I DON'T WANT TO GIVE MY CAR AWAY NOR DO I WANT THE MONEY BACK I JUST WANT A CAR THAT IS NOT GOING TO CAUSE DEATH TO ME OR MY CHILDREN.
HAD CAR REPAIRED AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG IS MALFUNCTIONING. I CANNOT AFFORD $900 FOR A NEW ONE. IS THERE SOMEONE WHO CAN HELP ME WITH THIS ISSUE?
WHILE DRIVING, THE CAR IN MOTION IT COMPLETELY LOSES POWER. HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS WHILE ON HIGHWAY, INTERSTATE, AND IN TOWN ROADS. SO PROBLEM OCCURS AT ANY SPEED, AND RESULTS IN VEHICLE COASTING TO A STOP AS THE STEERING AND BRAKES STOP WORKING TOO. HAS HAPPENED TO ME HUNDREDS OF TIMES AS WE CAN NOT PIN POINT PROBLEM, AND HAS REPLACED NUMEROUS DIFFERENT PARTS TRYING TO SOLVE IT. WHEN POWER LOSS OCCURS THERE IS VERY LITTLE TO NO TIME AT ALL FOR DRIVER TO COAST & STEER VEHICLE & OCCUPANTS TO SAFETY AREA ON SIDE OF ROAD. THE DASHBOARD INFORMATION CENTER WILL STATE "STARTING DISABLED, SERVICE THROTTLE" ALSO ENGINE POWER REDUCED" AND "SERVICE STABLITRAK." A NEW THROTTLE HAS BEEN PUT IN VEHICLE AND STILL DOES SAME THING. OVER THE YEAR IVE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS ISSUE IVE NOTICED IT DOES IT MORE IN WARM WEATHER. AFTER VEHICLE COAST TO A STOP AND IS PUT IN PARK AND TURNED OFF, WAIT 5 TO 10 MINUTES THEN VEHICLE WILL START UP AND NO INFORMATION OR LIGHTS DISPLAY IN DASH CENTER, LIKE IT NEVER HAPPENED.
WHILE DRIVING ON A STREET, THE AIRBAG SERVICE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND WARNING INDICATOR FOR THE RED AIRBAG SIGN DISPLAYED. CHECKED ALL CONNECTIONS AND DROVE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY SAID THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM BUT THEY DID NOT.

MY IMPALA HAS HAD AIRBAG ISSUES SINCE 2016 DISPLAY PANEL CONSTANTLY SAYS TO SERVICE AIR BAG ESPECIALLY WHEN SOMEONE SITS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. I RECEIVED THE AIRBAG RECALL NOTICE BACK IN 2016 AND TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER. THEY REWRAPPED THE WIRES UNDER PASSENGER SEAT AND SYSTEM WAS OK FOR AROUND 6 MONTHS THEN IT STARTED DOING THE SAME THINGS WITH SAME ISSUE. STATING TO SERVICE AIR BAG AND WHEN IN PASSENGER SEAT IS THE ONLY TIME IT SAYS THIS AND IT ALSO DISPLAYS THAT THE PASSENGER AIR BAG IS OFF.
REACCURING PROBLEM WITH GRINDING ON FRONT WHEELS WITH TRACTION CONTROL AND ABS LIGHTING ON CONTROL PANEL. HAVE HAD WHEEL HUBS REPLACED WHICH HAD NO EFFECT ON THE PROBLEM. THE CAR FEELS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. HAVE READ MANY COMPLAINTS OF OTHER IMPALA OWNERS WITH THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. THE GRINDING OCCURS DURING ACCELERATION WHEN MOVING FORWARD OR BACKWARD MOSTLY WHEN TURNING BUT HAS OCCURED WHEN JUST MOVING FORWARD, MOSTLY ON CITY AND SUBURBAN STREETS. THE PROBLEM DEVELOPED ABOUT 5 MONTHS AGO AND CONTINUES TO DATE. NEED HELP AND ADVICE PLEASE.
WHEN MAKING A LEFT TURN THE VEHICLE LOCKS UP AND WILL NOT MOVE FORE ONE MINUTE.
SPEEDOMETER CAUGHT ON FIRE AND BURNT OUT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES
WHILE DRIVING ON ROADS AND INTERSTATES, I FREQUENTLY RECEIVE A DASH NOTIFICATION "ENGINE POWER REDUCED" AND MY SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, MY VEHICLE LOSES SPEED AND CANNOT ACCELERATE ABOVE 40MPH - DANGEROUS, ESPECIALLY ON AN INTERSTATE. THE NOTIFICATION LIGHTS AND SYMPTOMS OCCASIONALLY GO AWAY AFTER TURNING THE ENGINE OFF AND ON, ONLY TO COME BACK LATER. I CANNOT FIND AND ANSWER TO THIS PROBLEM.

"TAKATA RECALL" HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE ROTORS, TIRE END RODS, AND MOTOR MOUNT.
THE CAR STARTED TO STATE THE AIRBAG NEEDED SERVICING. I LOOKED UP THE ISSUE ONLINE AND SAW THE RECALL FOR MY MAKE AND MODEL. RECALL NUMBER 273230. THE NHTSA NUMBER IS 16V507000. SEPARATELY, THE STEERING WHEEL IS INCREDIBLY STIFF WHEN STARTING THE CAR, AND WHILE MAKING TURNS. NEED BOTH ARMS TO FORCE THE CAR TO TURN. THERE IS NO ISSUE WITH POWER STEERING FLUID. THE STEERING LOOSENS A SMALL AMOUNT WHEN APPLYING PRESSURE ON THE GAS.
ON THIS VEHICLE WHEN YOU GO TO MAKE A LEFT HAND TURN FROM A STOP, THE FRONT DRIVER WHEEL, CALIPER, OR SOMETHING IN THE DRIVETRAIN LOCKS UP AND WILL NOT ALLOW THE VEHICLE TO PROCEED FORWARD MAKING A LEFT TURN. THE VEHICLE ONLY GOES FORWARD WHEN YOU LET OFF THE GAS THEN PRESS THE GAS PEDDLE AGAIN. THIS HAS BEEN KNOWN NOW FOR 5 MONTHS AND THE CUSTOMER IS COMPLAINING THAT SHE ALMOST GOT INTO ACCIDENT, HOW EVER HERE AT DIESELZ MOTORSPORTS WE HAD REPLACED THE RACK AND PINION, FRONT ROTORS AND PADS AND OUTER TIE RODS. AND THE ISSUE STILL PERSIST.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SEVERAL WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED, INCLUDING THE ABS, AIR BAG, SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL, AND STABILITY CONTROL. THE CONTACT ALSO HEARD BANGING NOISES COMING ROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE, RESULTING IN ROUGH DRIVING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
CAR WAS PARKED AT HOME ON STREET.WHEN I STARTED THE CAR SERVICE AIR BAGS MESSAGE WAS ON PANEL. CAR ONLY HAS 50,800 MILES. NO DEALERS WERE OPEN ON SATURDAY, AND I WAS AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR TO WORK. MISSED A DAY OF WORK, AND MAYBE MORE DAYS DEPENDING ON REPAIR TIME.
I PLACED MY CAR IN PARK, WHILE THE CAR WAS STILL RUNNING. WHEN I GOT BACK IN, AND TRIED TO PUT IT INTO GEAR, THE CONSOLE SHIFTER SEEMED LIKE IT WAS LOCKED IN PLACE, AND WOULDN'T LET ME PUT THE CAR IN GEAR. THERE IS APPARENTLY A SWITCH UNDER THE CONSOLE COVER THAT ALLOWS ME TO TEMPORARILY FIX THIS ISSUE, BUT I HAVE TO DO SO EVERY TIME I WANT TO PUT MY CAR INTO GEAR FROM PARK. ONLY HAPPENS WHEN MY CAR IS IN PARK. I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS A RECALL ISSUE OR NOT. BUT ANY REPLY ON THIS ISSUE, AS WELL AS WHAT I NEED TO DO TO GET IT FIXED WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED. ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS INTERMITTENTLY COME ON CAUSING CAR TO JERK WITH ACCELERATION, OR OCCASIONALLY, TO SLIP DURING BRAKING. WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLIES HAVE BEEN REPLACED MULTIPLE TIMES AND THE SAME FAULTY ISSUE KEEPS REOCCURRING. LOW QUALITY WIRING AND POSITION AND TAUTNESS GOING INTO THE HARNESS ARE A RECIPE FOR DISASTER. SENSORS CAN BE SET OFF WITH AS LITTLE EFFORT AS GENTLY ROCKING THE CAR, DEFINITELY GOING OFF IF THERE ARE ANY BUMPS OR POTHOLES IN THE ROAD. ALSO HAD OTHER ANNOYING ALTHOUGH LESS DANGEROUS ISSUES: DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS AND HEATING/AC ACTUATOR, CAUSING DOOR LOCKS TO NOT RESPOND AND CAUSING A HORRIBLE CLICKING NOISE IN THE CAR, RESPECTIVELY. I HAVE WALKED AWAY FROM THE CAR THINKING I HAD LOCKED IT ONLY TO FIND ONE OR MORE OF THE DOORS DID NOT LOCK. ACTUALLY HAD ITEMS TAKEN FROM THE CAR. THE CLICKING NOISE FROM UNDER THE DASH WAS SPORADIC, USUALLY UPON STARTING THE CAR, BUT OCCASIONALLY WHILE DRIVING WITH NO NOTICE. THIS EAR SPLITTING, HEADACHE INDUCING NOISE WOULD FOR THE MOST PART STOP AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES OF DRIVING, BUT WOULD SOMETIMES CONTINUE AFTER THE CAR WAS SHUT OFF AND WOULD DRAIN THE BATTERY. THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM THROUGHOUT THE CAR IS HORRIBLE.
THE VEHICLE SHUT DOWN AND I CANNOT START IT BECAUSE OF THE IGNITION SWITCH CAUSING THE ENTIRE VEHICLE TO BECOME INOPERABLE. I WAS PULLING UP IN MY DRIVEWAYWHEN THE VEHICLE SHUT DOWN.
EARLIER THIS YEAR MY CAR STARTED FLASHING A "REDUCE ENGINE POWER" AND "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" TOGETHER. MY CAR SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS WORKING HARDER TOO BUT I WAS CITY DRIVING LESS THAN 30MPH SO I DIDN'T OTHERWISE NOTICE PROBLEMS. THIS HAPPENED RARELY. A FEW MONTHS LATER I WAS ON THE FREEWAY JUST GETTING ON (FLAT ROAD) AND THE WARNINGS CAME ON SUDDENLY. THEN AS I GOT OVER 40MPH, MY CAR ENGINE SHUT DOWN AND MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKED. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO MAKE A SLIGHT TURN OFF MY WHEELS ENOUGH TO GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. MY CAR FLASHES THESE RANDOMLY AFTER RANDOM LENGTHS OF TIME OF THE CAR BEING ON AND DRIVEN AND IT'S ALMOST A DAILY OCCURRENCE. I'VE SEEN ONLINE NO ONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO SOLVE THE ISSUE.
DOOR LOCKS WORK INTERMITTENTLY WITH REMOTE, ESPECIALLY OVER 75 DEGREES. USUALLY DRIVER DOOR LOCK BUT CAN BE ANY. ALL STILL WORK MANUALLY. THIS CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE HANDICAPPED PEOPLE ARE OFTEN IN THIS VEHICLE AND CAN'T GET OUT ON THEIR OWN. ALSO INTERMITTENTLY DEPENDENT ON HOW HOT IT IS THE SERVICE PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON BUT OFTEN DISAPPEARS. THIS STARTED SOON AFTER THE SO CALLED AIRBAG RECALL WAS DONE.
THE IMPALA DISPLAYS SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL FOLLOWED BY ENGINE POWER REDUCED. THROWS A CODE FOR THROTTLE BODY SENSOR, BUT THAT DOES NOT FIX THE ISSUE. ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION SENSOR IS ANOTHER REASON THEY SAY, WHICH ALSO DOES NOT FIX THE ISSUE. MY CAR HAS SHUT OFF ON ME GOING DOWN THE INTERSTATE, ON A HIGHWAY, AND AND OVER A HILL. IT SHUTS DOWN AND SAYS 'STARTING DISABLED, SERVICE THROTTLE' WITH NO WARNING AT ALL. SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM AND NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. THEY SAY WIRING BUT IT NEVER FIXED ANYTHING.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,000.
CAR DRIVES FOR 15 MINUTES THEN DISPLAY AN "ENGINE POWER REDUCED" AND "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" LIGHT. CAR HESITATES TO ACCELERATE THE EVENTUALLY CUTS OFF AFTER A "SERVICE THROTTLE BODY LIGHT" COMES ON. CAR CUT OFF ON THE HIGHWAY AT 70MPH. WHENEVER THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE CAR THESE LIGHTS COME ON. IT DOESN'T SPECIFY WHAT THE ACTUAL PROBLEM IS.
CLEANED INTERIOR OF CA WHILE SITTING STILL IN DRIVEWAY. SERVICE SEAT BELT WARNING APPEARED IN INFORMATION CENTER DISPLAY. HAD THE CODE READ AT MECHANIC. SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER WAS FOUND TO BE THE ISSUE.
AIR BAG SERVICE LIGHT COMES ON AND WON'T GO OFF. A LOT OF PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET ARE ALSO HAVING TROUBLE.
LATELY, I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH THE ACCELERATION OF MY VEHICLE. EVERY SO OFTEN, MY ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND I GET A "ENGINE REDUCED" NOTIFICATION, AND MY VEHICLE SLOWS DOWN. WHENEVER I REACH 40MPH, MY HP METER DROPS AND MY CAR STARTS SHAKING. THERE HAS EVEN BEEN A TIME WHEN MY CAR WOULD COMPLETELY SHUT OFF AND DISPLAY "IGNITION DISABLED". EACH TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED, THE VEHICLE WAS MOVING ON A HIGHWAY. I WENT TO A SHOP TO GET THE ERROR CODES AND I WILL UPLOAD THEM.
