VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH A 3.1 LITRE ENGINE. VEHICLE HAS A TENDENCY TO HESITATE AND STALL OUT DURING HIGHWAY SPEEDS. VEHICLE WILL HAVE DIFFICULTY RESTARTING AFTER THAT OR MAY STALL AGAIN. CONSUMER CALLED COMPLAINING ABOUT HAVING PROBLEMS WITH HER BRAKE LIGHTS SHE IS COMPLAINING ABOUT WATER COME INSIDE OF THE PLASTIC COVER WHICH LATER IT BECOMES MOISTURE AND DOES NOT ALLOWED THE VEHICLE ON THE BACK TO SEE IF SHE IS BRAKING OR NOT AND THIS CAN CAUSE SOMEONE HITTING HER. MR

CONSUMER ATTEMPTED TO OPEN DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WITH THE CAR KEYS. AFTER THE KEY, WAS INSERTED AND TURNED, THE DOOR DIDN'T OPENED. THE DEALERSHIP INDICATED THAT THEY WILL HAVE TO REPLACE A PART IN THE DOOR(PART UNKNOWN). CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN A CRASH WHERE VEHICLE WAS LIFTED IN THE AIR, WHEN REPAIRS WERE MADE TO THE VEHICLE IT WAS NOT CORRECTED. THERE ARE PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION, BRAKES AND DOORS. *TS
THE ENGINE STALLED WHILE DRIVING DUE TO A FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH. THE STEERING WHEEL WAS LOUD DUE TO AN IMPROPERLY INSTALLED CAM/HORN CONTACT. SCC *NLM

THE PROBLEMS EXPERIENCED ARE AS FOLLOWED: DEFECTIVE/SHORTED TURN SIGNAL(REPLACED, CHECK ENGINE WARNING LAMP, 5 ATTEMPTED REPAIRS OF NOISES/KNOCKING IN THE FRONT END/SUSPENSION/STEERING (WHICH HAVE TSB'S), BRAKES/ROTORS, FAULTY IGNITION WIRES, POOR PERFORMANCE/STALLING, UNEVEN TIRE WEAR, INACCURATE FUEL GAUGE READINGS, AND NO CRUISE CONTROL OR HORN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY REPLACED THE FUEL TANK AND FUEL PUMP. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO EXPERIENCE PROBLEMS AND WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM AND INDICATED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS PROBABLY FROM VANDALISM OR SOMETHING IN THE TANK. THESE CONDITIONS WERE NOT COVERED BY THE VEHICLE'S WARRANTY THEREFORE THE CONSUMER HAD TO PAY FOR THE ENTIRE SERVICE ASSESSMENT. A GM BULLETIN WAS LOCATED WHICH RECOMMENDED THAT THE TECHNICIAN REPLACE THE EXISTING FUEL SENDER STRAINER AS A POTENTIAL CAUSE OF THE ENGINE SYMPTOMS. *NLM *JB

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY REPLACED THE FUEL TANK AND FUEL PUMP. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO EXPERIENCE PROBLEMS AND WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM AND INDICATED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS PROBABLY FROM VANDALISM OR SOMETHING IN THE TANK. THESE CONDITIONS WERE NOT COVERED BY THE VEHICLE'S WARRANTY THEREFORE THE CONSUMER HAD TO PAY FOR THE ENTIRE SERVICE ASSESSMENT. VEHICLE IS EXPERIENCING A PROBLEM WITH THE TURN SIGNALS OPERATING POORELY. THERE IS A RECALL ON TURN SIGNAL; HOWEVER, THIS VEHICLE IS NOT INCLUDED UNDER THE RECALL BECAUSE IT FAILS TO MEET THE MANUFACTURING DATE BY 5 MONTHS ALTHOUGH IT IS EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEMS. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED VEHICLE WILL SUDDENLY STALL WITHOUT WARNING. AS A RESULT VEHICLE LOOSES POWER. WHEN THIS OCCURS CONSUMER HAS TO COAST VEHICLE TO A STOP.*AK
THE TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS OPERATE INTERMITTENTLY. *AK THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED BUT THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO NOTHING AS THERE WAS NO FORMAL RECALL AT THIS TIME, SO THE CONSUMER WAS GIVING A FILE NUMBER AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO GET REPAIRS ON THEIR OWN. THE CONSUMER WENT AND GOT THE CAR REPAIRED FOR $67.38 FROM A SERVICE DEALER. *CB *JB
POWER STEERING FAILED, CAUSING STEERING WHEEL TO BECOME STIFF. DRIVER CHECKED POWER STEERING AND FLUID WAS STILL FULL. *AK
WHEN THE DRIVER APPLIED THE BRAKES THE VEHICLE SHOOK. THE CONSUMER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED TO HAVE NEW BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS EVERY 6,000 MILES. *NM
VEHICLE DIED UNEXPECTEDLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. *AK

CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT PROBLEM WITH SIGNAL LIGHT SWITCH AND HAZARD FLASHING WARNING LIGHT SWITCH PROBLEMS. THEY WORKED INTERMITTENTLY. *AK
WHILE DRIVING 50-55 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY, THE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONSUMER COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND SAT FOR SEVERAL MINUTES. SHE THEN ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND THE ENGINE STALLED THREE MORE TIMES. ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED, THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONSUMER THAT THE FUEL PUMP SENDER ASSEMBLY, FUEL HARNESS AND FUEL FILTER NEEDED REPLACEMENT. *JB *LA
WHILE DRIVING THE TURN SIGNALS MALFUNCTIONED, CAUSING OTHER DRIVERS NOT TO BE AWARE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TURNING. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. *AK
