THE CAR WILL TURN OFF BY ITSELF. WE WILL BE DRIVING ALONG AND THEN FOR WHAT SEEMS LIKE NO REASON THE CAR SHUTS OFF - THE PS/PB DON'T WORK, NOTHING. THE CAR STARTS RIGHT BACK UP BUT THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS. WE TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THAT THERE WERE TOO MANY KEYS ON OUR KEY RING AND THAT IS WHY IT WAS TURNING OFF - WELL IT DOESN'T HAPPEN WITH THE SAME KEY RING ON ANY OF THE OTHER CARS WE OWN SO WHY JUST ON THIS CAR? I BELIEVE THIS RELATES BACK TO TSB 052203, BUT IT IS STILL VERY DANGEROUS AND GM ISN'T DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM AND HASN'T GONE AWAY. *TR
WHEN DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL CONSUMER HEARD A GRINDING NOISE WHICH CAUSED EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO BE INSPECTED. THE MECHANIC INFORMED THE CONSUMER THAT THE FRONT ROTORS WORE OUT. *AK
MANUFACTURING SAFETY ISSUE - CHEVROLET MALIBU 2003 FRONT WHEEL ASSEMBLY HUBS ROTORS, AND BRAKES. CONTINUOUS PROBLEMS. DEALER AND GENERAL MOTORS REFUSES TO CORRECT. ROTORS WARPED, CAUSING BRAKE PADS TO WEAR OUT. TURNED TWICE ALREADY. LEFT HUB REPLACED. NOW EXPERIENCING SAME PROBLEMS AGAIN WITH BRAKING. DEALER REFUSES TO REPAIR DURING NOVEMBER 28, 2003 VISIT. *AK
WHEN DRIVING AT AN UNDETERMINED SPEED THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE WHEN PASSING OTHER VEHICLES. THIS CAUSED THE DRIVER TO SLOW DOWN TRAFFIC. *AK THE PASSING GEAR WAS SLOW TO ACTUATE: WHEN PASSING A HIGHWAY SPEED WHEN PULLING OUT STEPPING ON THE GAS, THE ENGINE WOULD REV-UP BUT THE GEAR CHANGE WAS DELAYED. *SCC *JB
SERVICE ISSUE, NON-REMOVAL OF SHOCK SNUBBERS ON MAGNETIC SELECTIVE RIDE SHOCKS. *AK
HEADLIGHTS, DASHLIGHTS, GO DIM, FLICKER WHEN STEP ON BRAKES. ALSO HEATER FAN SLOWS DOWN WHEN STEP ON BRAKES. *LA
WHILE DRIVING AT 50 MPH AND WHEN DEPRESSING THE BRAKES VEHICLE SHUDDERED VIOLENTLY AND THE PULLED TO THE RIGHT. THIS PROBLEM OCCURRED ON MANY OCCASIONS, AND THE CONSUMER FELT THAT LOST OF CONTROL WAS IMMINENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO REPLACED THE FRONT BRAKE PADS. AFTERWARDS THE VEHICLE PERFORMED WORSE THAN PRIOR TO REPAIRS. *AK THE ROTORS WERE WARPED. *SC *JB
WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED THERE WAS A DELAY BEFORE VEHICLE WOULD STOP. DEALER INSPECTED VEHICLE 22 TIMES, AND PROBLEM STILL OCCURRING. *AK
COMPLETE FRONT BRAKE FAILURE WITH NO WARNING. *LA
WITH THE INCREASED BRIGHTNESS OF HEADLIGHTS IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO SPOT FRONT TURN SIGNALS AT NIGHT WHEN THEY ARE PLACED ADJACENT TO THE LOW BEAM LAMP. PLEASE CONSIDER MANDATING THAT SIGNAL LAMPS MUST BE AT LEAST THREE INCHES FROM THE EDGE OF THE LOW BEAM'S REFLECTOR. *LA
THE BREAKS ON MY 2003 MALIBU SEDAN SEEM TO NOT BE AS RESPONSIVE AS OTHER VEHICLES I HAVE OWNED. YOU HAVE TO PRESS THE BREAKS HARDER THAN NORMAL TO BRING THE CAR TO A STOP. THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE WITH THE MALIBU'S AND AS I DO MORE RESEARCH, I HAVE FOUND NUMEROUS PEOPLE THAT HAVE HAD TO REPLACE BREAKS MANY TIMES WITH SIMILAR RESULTS. *LA
HEADLIGHTS IN MY 2003 CHEV MALIBU CONTINUALY STAY FOGGED UP WITH WATER INSIDE THE LENS AND CHEVY IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. I THINK IT COULD CAUSE POTENTIAL PROBLEMS WITH THE LIGHTS WORKING PROPERLY.
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A COLLISION. AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, AND SEAT BELT DID NOT RESTRAIN CONSUMER. *AK
THE KEY WILL SHIFT FROM THE 'ON' POSITION TO THE 'ACCESSORY' OR 'OFF' POSITION BY ITSELF AND WITHOUT WARNING. THIS SHUTS DOWN THE ENGINE, PS, PB, AIRBAGS.... I FIRST COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS BACK IN 2003/2004 TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD TO REMOVE THE KEYS FORM THE KEY RING. NOW THIS CAR IS UNDER A RECALL (GM RECALL #N14350, NHTSA RECALL #14V400) AND ALL GM AND THE DEALER SAY THEY WILL DO IS SHAVE OFF SOME OF THE PLASTIC FROM THE GM EMBLEM ON THE ORIGINAL KEYS TO MAKE THEM LIGHTER. I WAS TOLD THAT THEY DO NOT EVEN HAVE TO HAVE THE CAR IN THE SHOP - ALL THEY DO IS MODIFY THE PLASTIC EMBLEM ON THE ORIGINAL KEYS. THIS WON'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM AS I DON'T USE THE ORIGINAL GM KEYS AND THERE IS NO PLASTIC TO SHAVE OFF AND I DON'T HAVE A HUGE KEY RING FULL OF KEYS. THIS IS AN IGNITION PROBLEM, NOT A KEY PROBLEM. *TR
2003 CHEVROLET MALIBU BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS NEED REPLACEMENT AFTER 8,000-25,000 MILES DUE TO RUST AND WEAR. BRAKES WERE "EXCELLENT" AT 10,871 MILES, THEN NEEDED REPLACEMENT AT 16,350 ALONG WITH NEW ROTORS.*AK
CAR HAS STALLED NUMORUS TIMES IN TRAFFIC. AT CITY SPEEDS AND HIGHWAY SPEEDS, EVEN IN THE FAST LANE AT RUSH HOUR.HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A SEMI THAT IS TAILGATING TRY TO STOP AT SIXTY-FIVE IN YOUR REARVIEW MIRROR BECAUSE YOUR ENGINE JUST STALLED? I FEAR FOR MY LIFE EVERY TIME THE DEALER CALLS AND SAY'S COME PICK IT UP I THINK WE GOT IT FIXED? HOW CAN THEY SEND ME OUT WITH A VEHICLE THAT THEY DONT EVEN KNOW IF ITS FIXED? WHEN THEY CAN'T EVEN FIND OUT WHAT IS CAUSING IT TO HAPPEN? IT'S BEEN IN THE SHOP EIGHT TIMES FOR STALLING. THEY REPLACE A PART AND SEND ME OUT ON THE ROAD LIKE A TEST RAT HOPING THE BRAND NEW CAR I BOUGHT KEEPS RUNNING SO I DON'T DIE OR WORSE CAUSE SOMEONE ELSE TO. THEY HAVE CHECKED THE WIRING,COMPUTERS, ENGINE, EVEN DUPLICATED THE PROBLEM.HOW DO I EVER FEEL LIKE I CAN DRIVE THIS CAR SAFLEY. I HAVE NO CHOICE BECAUSE THE BIG CAR COMPANY DONT CARE FOR ME. IT'S SALES THEY CARE ABOUT. IT'S BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR SIX DAYS NOW, NO PROBLEM I'LL SEND MY PAYMENT IN EVEN THOUGH IT'S BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR ABOUT THIRTY DAYS THE LAST FOUR MONTHS.
CHEVROLET 2003 MALIBU - THE CAR WAS LEASED IN MARCH 2003. THE BRAKES WERE FAILING AND THE CAR WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER. THEY COULD NOT DETECT ANY PROBLEMS SINCE NO LIGHTS CAME ON IN THE CAR. THE PROBLEM OCCURRENCE IS UNPREDICTABLE. BRAKES BECOME VERY HARD AND CAR DOESN'T STOP, STEERING WHEEL VIBRATES, CAR DOES NOT ACCELERATE, CONSUMES A LOT OF GAS. PROBLEM DETECTED WAS BRAKE PEDAL REMAINED DOWN EVEN WHEN IT WASN'T BEING USED. THE CAR WAS BROUGHT BACK TO THE DEALER THREE TIMES BEFORE THE DEFECT WAS DETECTED BY THE SERVICE MANAGER. THE CAR WAS REPORTEDLY REPAIRED (READJUSTED SWITCH FOR PROPER RELEASE OF BRAKE, REPLACED FT PADS AND ROTORS DUE TO EXCESS HEAT ON FT BRAKES), BUT AFTER A WEEK, THE PROBLEM REPRESENTED ITSELF. THE CAR IS NOW (8/21/03) AT THE DEALER FOR REPAIR (4TH TIME IT GOES IN). THE MANUFACTURER CUSTOMER SERVICE IS GIVING ME A DIFFICULT TIME ADMITTING THAT THE CAR HAS A SERIOUS DEFECT. THEY ARE TRYING TO CONVINCE ME THAT THE SYMPTOMS THE CAR PRESENTS MAY NOT SIGNIFY THAT THE PROBLEM IS THE SAME. I TOTALLY DISAGREE BECAUSE, IT IS THE SAME PROBLEM. MY HUSBAND AND I WERE ALMOST KILLED ON THE NJ TURNPIKE DUE TO THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE ASKED THEM TO TAKE BACK THE CAR BUT I HAVE HAD LITTLE SUCCESS. I AM HOPING THAT THIS COMPLAINT WILL SPARK AN INVESTIGATION. THE DEALER MENTIONED THAT THIS EXACT PROBLEM WAS FOUND ON THE AVALANCHE MODELS.*AK
CONSUMER STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE AT 40 MPH, A CREAKING NOISE WAS HEARD UNDER VEHICLE. UPON TAKING VEHICLE TO DEALER IT WAS FOUND THAT FRONT STRUT WAS DEFECTIVE. FRONT STRUT HAD TOO MUCH SPACE BETWEEN THE STRUT AND THE WHEEL. DEALER WAS REPAIRING THE PROBLEM FREE OF CHARGE.*AK
'RECALL CAMPAIGN' FOR CHEVROLET MALIBU 2003, VEHICLE ALSO INVOLVED IN 2 ACCIDENTS. *BF THE CONSUMER HUSBAND BELIEVED BOTH ACCIDENTS WERE THE RESULT OF A RECALL GM HAD ISSUED REGARDING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. (HUSBAND ON BEHALF OF WIFE DORIS NELL DECEASED) *JB
THE FOLLOWING HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FOR YEARS AND IS REACHING EPIDEMIC PROPORTIONS NATIONWIDE CAUSING A SAFETY HAZARD FOR DRIVERS OF AMERICAN MADE AUTOMOBILES -- ALL MAKES, MODELS, AND YEARS. THERE IS AN EPIDEMIC RISE IN THE NUMBER OF CARS DRIVING WITH ONLY ONE HEADLIGHT BECAUSE OF POOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING/MANUFACTURING OF THAT SYSTEM IN AMERICAN MADE CARS. I DO NOT SEE THAT PROBLEM WITH FOREIGN MADE CARS. IT IS DIFFICULT TO BELIEVE THAT IN 2003 AMERICAN CAR MANUFACTURERS CANNOT BUILD A CAR WHERE HEADLIGHTS WILL NOT FAIL -- AND I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT FAILURES CAUSED BY ACCIDENTS OR IMPACTS. IN OHIO IT WAS REALLY BAD, AND AS I MOVE AROUND THE COUNTRY IT IS NOT ISOLATED AT ALL, THERE ARE MILLIONS OF HEADLIGHT FAILURES IN AMERICAN CARS, REGARDLESS OF THEIR AGE OR YEAR. THIS IS A WIDE-SPREAD PROBLEM THAT CAN BE TRACED TO AMERICAN CAR MANUFACTURING AND ENGINEERING PROBLEMS. HEADLIGHTS ARE A MAJOR SAFETY ITEM IN A CAR, AND THEY SHOULD NOT BE FAILING AT SUCH AN ALARMING RATE. I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT NO-ONE HAS TAKEN ACTION TO DATE REGARDING THIS OBVIOUS ISSUE. *NLM
I HAVE OWN THREE CHEVY MALIBU A 1998, 2002 AND I JUST GOT A 2003. HOWEVER, I NOTICED THAT GM HAS REMOVED THERE CRUISE CONTROL LIGHT OFF OF THE DASH BOARD WHEN YOU TURN IT ON. THE OTHER TWO MALIBU'S I OWN HAD A DASH LIGHT COME ON TO LET YOU KNOW THE CRUISE CONTROL IS ON. BUT THE 2003 DOES NOT IT ONLY HAS A LITTLE LIGHT ON THE CRUISE BUTTON ON THE STEERING COLUMN AND ITS HARD TO SEE DURING DAY LIGHT. I THINK THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS AS YOU MAY NOT KNOW IF YOUR CRUISE IS ON WHICH COULD CAUSE A ACCIDENT. COULD YOU PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS FOR ME.
I HAVE HAD SERIOUS BRAKE WEARING ISSUE, IN ONE YEARS TIME A TOTAL OF 40,000 MI I USED 3 SETS OF BRAKES PADS FOR THIS CAR.I HAD HAVE BRAKE CALIPERS CHANGES, IN FRONT (LOADED) AND REAR WHEEL CYLINDERS, (2), AND NEW DRUMS FOR REAR BRAKES. *AK BRAKE CONTINUED TO BE A PROBLEM AND HAVE HAD COMPLETELY BLEED THE SYSTEM AT CHEVROLET DEALER. NOW I HAVE TURN SIGNAL PROBLEMS. THEY WORK WHEN THEY WANT TO. DUE TO MY BUSY WORK SCHEDULE I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO HAVE REPAIR DONE. CHEVROLET REPAIR HOURS ARE LIMITED. MY COMMUTE IS LONG OVER 60 MILES ONE WAY. IT IS OFTEN VERY DIFFICULT DUE TO TURN SIGNAL FAILURE AT CRITICAL MOMENTS.
THE MUFFLER ON MY 2003 CHEVROLET SILVERADO NEEDS ITS SECOND MUFFLER IN AS MANY YEARS. IT APPEARS THE BAFFLE IS BECOMING LOOSE DUE TO INSUFFICIENT WELDS WITHIN THE MUFFLER. THIS IS CAUSING A VIBRATION A VARIOUS RPM/SPEEDS.*AK

I HAVE A CHEVROLET MALIBU AND THE TURN SIGNALS DON'T WORK AT ALL TIMES. *NLM
SINCE THE TIME I PURCHASED MY CHEVROLET IMPALA I HAVE HAD TROUBLE WITH THE STEERING COLUMN. I HAVE BROUGHT THE VEHICLE INTO THE SHOP NUMEROUS TIMES. 12 TO BE EXACT. THE FIRST 6 TIMES WAS WITHIN THE FIRST 7 MONTHS. I ASKED ABOUT THE LEMON LAW AND WAS TOLD THAT IT DIDN'T QUALIFY UNLESS THE EXACT PART WENT BAD 3 TIMES. TWO FULL NEW STEERING COLUMNS HAVE BEEN PUT IN PLUS ALL OTHER INDIVIDUAL PARTS HAVING BEEN FOUND INADEQUATE WERE REPLACED. THE STEERING ALSO CONTINUOUSLY SQUEALED AND CLUNKED WHEN TURNING. AFTER ALL THE REPAIRS IT IS STILL DOING IT. THEN AFTER NUMEROUS OTHER VISITS WHEN I TRIED AGAIN TO EXPLORE THE POSSIBILITY OF THE LEMON LAW I WAS TOLD IT WAS THREE WEEKS TO LATE. THEY PUT ME OFF AND STALLED UNTIL IT WAS TOO LATE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT THE LEMON THE TIME OR KNOWLEDGE TO INVESTIGATE. I HAVE BEEN LEFT NO RECOURSE AND I HAVE A CAR THAT STILL ISN'T FUNCTIONING PROPERLY AND THAT I AM AFRAID TO TAKE OUT ON THE HIGHWAYS OR INTERSTATE. I AM A WIDOWED SENIOR OF 74 I FEEL HAVE BEEN GREATLY TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. MONTHS AGO THEY OFFERED ME AND EXTENDED 75,000 MILE WARRANTY. I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE IT. THEN I CALLED GM CONSUMER SERVICE. I SPOKE TO JEAN WHYRE AND SHE WAS OF NO HELP AT ALL. SHE DENIED ME BOTH THE EXCHANGE OF VEHICLES AND THE WARRANTY ON THE COLUMN. SHE THEN SAID THAT SHE WAS WITHDRAWING IT CAUSE I REFUSED IT BEFORE THINKING THAT I WAS GOING TO GET A NEW CAR UNDER THE LEMON LAW. WHEN I TRIED TO EXPLAIN THAT TO HER SHE MALICIOUSLY RECANTED THE OFFER AND SAID I WOULD NOT GET IT THEN HUNG UP ON ME. I INQUIRED WITH THE FL. BAR ASSOCIATION BUT NO LAWYER WITH IN THE STATE WILL COVER THIS TYPE OF CASE. I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO GO TO FOR HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM SO I AM NOW CONTEMPLATING CONTACTING THE LOCAL TELEVISION STATION. THEY HAVE A DEPARTMENT WHICH TAKES CARE OF CONSUMER COMPLAINTS AND ABUSE. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A CASE OF GROSS SENIOR ABUSE. I WOULD TO MAKE CLEAR THAT I DID ENQUIRE ABOUT THE LEMON TWICE. *NM

WATER LEAKED INSIDE THE REAR TAIL LIGHT INTO THE TRUNK AREA AND CAUSED A BAD ODOR AND MOLD TO GROW INSIDE THE TRUNK. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. THE DEALER IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. *NLM

FRONT BRAKE/ROTOR/CALIPER FAILURE. I HAVE HAD MY ROTORS, FRONT PADS AND CALIPERS REPLACED NUMEROUS TIMES ROTORS 4 TIMES, CALIPERS 4 TIMES AND FRONT PADS 16 TIMES DUE TO FAULTY DESIGN, THE CALIPERS HANG UP AND DO NOT RELEASE ALL THE WAY CAUSING THE INNER PADS TO WEAR ABNORMALLY. *NM
DRIVER'S SEAT MEMORY DOES NOT WORK. WHEN YOU GET IN AND PUT YOUR KEY IN OR PRESS THE BUTTON IT MOVES THE SEAT TO EXTREME POSITIONS. WE HAVE TAKEN IT TO DEALER AT LEAST 5 TIMES, AND THEY FINALLY TOLD US THAT WE NEED TO JUST TURN THAT (PAID FOR) OPTION OFF THERE IS NO FIX FOR IT.*AK
DEALER REFUSED TO REPAIR THE AIR BAG EQUIPMENT IN THE 2003 CHEVROLET MALIBU STATING IT HAS A 1998 MALIBU AIR BAG SYSTEM.*MR SHORTLY AFTER THE CONSUMER BOUGHT THE VEHICLE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYED ON. THE CONSUMER HAD A FACTORY WARRANTY ON THE VEHICLE, SO HE TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THE DEALERSHIP TOLD THE CONSUMER THAT THEY COULD NOT FIX THE AIR BAG SYSTEM PROBLEM BECAUSE THE AIR BAG WAS FROM A 1998 CHEVY MALIBU. CONSUMER WANTS TO KNOW IF IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO HAVE OLD CAR PARTS IN A NEWER MODEL CAR.*SB *NM
THE DESIGN OF THE AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL FOR THE HEADLAMPS SUBJUGATES THE RESPONSIBILITY STATE LAW PLACES ON THE VEHICLE OPERATOR. THE OPERATOR CERTANTLY CAN _CHOOSE_ TO ALLOW A AUTOMATIC SYSTEM TO OPERATE THE LIGHTS IF THEY WANT TO, HOWEVER SHOULD NOT BE FORCED TO USE IT IF THE OPERATOR IS NOT COMFORABLE WITH THE WAY THE AUTOMATIC SYSTEM OPERATES. ADDITIONALLY, THE AUTOMATIC LIGHTING SYSTEMS CAN ONLY DETERMINE WHEN AMBIENT LIGHTING CONDITIONS _MAY_ REQUIRE LIGHTING BUT _CANNOT_ DETERMINE OTHER SPECIFIC WEATHER-RELATED CONDITIONS WHEN THE LAWS OF MY STATE ALSO MANDATE VEHICLE LIGHTING BE USED. MOST NOTABLY, THE AUTO SYSTEM DOES NOT ALWAYS "KNOW" WHEN IT'S FOGGY, RAINING OR SNOWING DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS, APPLYING LIGHTING SOMETIMES IN THOSE CASES, BUT NOW ALWAYS. OR BEGINNING WITH THE LIGHTS ON, THEN THEY GO OFF, THEN ON AGAIN, THEN OFF AGAIN DURING A TRIP WHEN THE LIGHTS SHOULD REMAIN ON CONTINOUSLY. THIS OFTEN OCCURS WITHOUT ANY INDICATION TO THE OPERATOR THAT THESE CHANGES IN STATUS OF THE LIGHTS ARE OCCURING. IN FACT, WITH DRLS LIT IN THE FRONT, THE NORMAL VISUAL QUEUE THAT THE LIGHTS ARE OUT THAT ONE WOULD EXPECT IS ABSENT (THE DRLS LOOK LIKE HEADLIGHTS) AND IT'S TOO BRIGHT OUT TO TELL IF THE DASH LIGHTS ARE ON OR NOT. IN MY OPINION, THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. GM SHOULD RETROFIT THE MALIBU'S WITH TOTAL OVERRIDE OF THE AUTO SYSTEM (COMPLETE DISABLE OF THE AUTO LIGHTS AND DRLS) FOR THOSE OWNERS THAT REQUEST IT.
2003 CHEVY MALIBU. 18,000 MILES, HAD TO REPLACE FRONT BRAKE PADS AND HAVE ROTORS TURNED. I WAS CHARGED $200 FOR 2 HRS LABOR THROUGH A CHEVY DEALER, BUT I FEEL THE BRAKE PADS SHOULD HAVE LASTED LONGER. WHEN I QUESTIONED THE DEALER, THEY SAID THAT MOST OF THE MALIBU'S AND SEVERAL OTHER CARS HAD SOFT BRAKE PADS AND HAD TO BE REPLACED EARLY. THEY WERE REPLACED WITH A THICKER BRAKE PAD. HOW COME THEY DIDN'T USE THESE TO START WITH? *JB
DEFECT WITH ELECTRONIC FUEL PUMP SYSTEM ON 2003 CHEVROLET MALIBU.*MR THE VEHICLE WOULD STALL UNLESS THE GAS PEDAL WAS CONTINUOUSLY PUMP DOWN. WHEN THIS WAS NECESSARY THE DRIVER HAD TO KEEP ONE FOOT ON THE GAS AND THE OTHER FOOT ON THE BRAKE TO KEEP THE VEHICLE FROM STALLING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE FIRST TIME THEY COULD FIND THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. THE SECOND TIME THEY REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP. AFTER THE PUMP WAS REPLACED THE PROBLEM RECURRED. SINCE THE STALLING IS INTERMITTENT THE MANUFACTURER REFUSES TO ADDRESS AND PERMANENTLY RECTIFY THE PROBLEM. *NM

WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE PULLED TO THE LEFT AND THE RIGHT WHEN TURNING. THE CONSUMER HAD THE TIRES ROTATED BUT THE PROBLEM CONTINUED. *MR *SCC *NLM

WHILE DRIVING BALL JOINT BROKE AND THE DRIVER SIDE TIRE SPUN . THIS RESULTED IN LOSS OF CONTROL .*AK
BRAKES STARTED TO MAKE A RUBBING NOISE WHICH PROGRESSED TO A SQUEAKING NOISE. ALSO, BRAKE PEDAL WOULD GO DOWN TO THE FLOOR TO STOP THE VEHICLE. DEALER HAS REPLACED BRAKE PADS/FRONT ROTORS/ BRAKE BOOSTER/CALIPERS, AND BRAKE LINES, BUT THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. *AK THE FRONT DRIVER WINDOW FAILED TO ROLL UP, THE ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED, THE A/C CONTROL WAS INOPERATIVE AND COOLING PROPERLY, THE VEHICLE PULLED TO THE RIGHT WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, THE VEHICLE OVERHEATED. *JB *NLM
2003 CHEVROLET MALIBU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH ROTORS.*MR THE CONSUMER WAS ALSO TOLD THE VEHICLE HAD A DEFECTIVE BRAKE LAMP SWITCH WHICH CAUSED PARTS TO ACTUALLY MELT BECAUSE THE BRAKES STAYED ENGAGED WHILE DRIVING. ONE MONTH LATER THE VEHICLE WAS BACK TO EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM, THE CONSUMER STATED WHEN HE ATTEMPTED TO MAKE A U-TURN, THE TIRE DID NOT TURN THEY GRABBED THE ROAD AND SAT THERE JUST BENDING THE PRESSURE OF THE TURN AND THE VEHICLE BUCKED. *JB *NM
BRAKES WERE REPLACED AT 13,700 MILES. NOW CONSUMER THINK SHE NEED TO REPLACE THE BRAKES AGAIN. *PH *LA
WHILE EXITING AN INTERSECTION CONSUMER HEARD A NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT. CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER, AND NOTICED THAT FRONT RIGHT AXLE CAME OFF. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE AXLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE DRIVER TRIED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND WAS ABLE TO START IT. THE DRIVER DROVE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE MECHANIC INFORMED THE DRIVER THAT THE FUEL PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND REPLACED IT, BUT THE PROBLEM STILL CONTINUED. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *JB
