I BOUGHT THE CAR IN 2013 FROM A CHEVY DEALERSHIP IN FREDERICKTOWN MO. THEY GAVE ME A PASSED INSPECTION AND I WENT ON MY WAY. THE NEXT APRIL THE CAR DID NOT PASS INSPECTION. IT WAS ADVISED TO ME THAT THE LOWER CONTROL ARM OF THE PASSENGER SIDE WAS BAD. IT WAS OVER $400 TO FIX THAT. FOR THE PAST YEAR MY CAR HAS BEEN RIDING VERY ROUGH. IT SHAKES AND RATTLES WHEN DRIVING AND SLOWING DOWN. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS THE ROTORS, SO I CHANGED THOSE. THE ROTORS WERE REALLY BAD AND LOOKED LIKE THEY HAD BEEN ON THE CAR SINCE IT FIRST CAME OFF THE ASSEMBLY LINE. I WAS TOLD THESE HAD BEEN BAD FOR SEVERAL YEARS. ONE SIDE WAS WARPED AND THE OTHER SIDE LOOKED LIKE IT HAD BEEN INTENTIONALLY GROUND DOWN ON THE EDGES. ON JANUARY 9TH 2015 MY TIRE BLEW OUT ON THE HIGHWAY. I WAS TOLD IT WAS BECAUSE MY LOWER CONTROL ARM HAD CAUSED THE TIRE TO WEAR ON THE INSIDE. NOT TWO WEEKS LATER, I LOST A SECOND TIRE DUE TO THE SAME ISSUE. THESE WERE BRAND NEW TIRES ON THE DATE I PURCHASED THE TIRE IN 2013. I HAVE ALSO ALREADY HAD SEVERAL RECALLS ON THIS CAR. THIS CAR IS NOT AT ALL SAFE TO DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY. I WOULD LIKE REIMBURSEMENT FOR REPLACING THE LOWER CONTROL ARM FOR THE SECOND TIME ON THIS CAR IN TWO YEARS. *TR
CAR CONTINUES TO MAKE A RATTLING NOISE. *TR
I HAVE BEEN REPETITIVELY TURNED AWAY BY VARIOUS GM DEALERSHIPS TO ADDRESS SERIOUS ISSUES WITH MY VEHICLE & POTENTIAL RECALLS. MY ISSUES INCLUDE - STEERING MALFUNCTIONS MAKING THE VEHICLE DIFFICULT TO CONTROL, FAULTY FUEL PUMP SENDING UNIT CAUSING CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO ILLUMINATE & VEHICLE TO STALL, UNCONTROLLABLE VIBRATIONS WHEN BREAKING AT HIGH SPEEDS NEARLY CAUSING ME TO WRECK, POPPING SOUNDS IN THE SUSPENSION SYSTEM, AND FINALLY UNEXPLAINED ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTIONS SUCH AS RADIO SWITCHING CHANNELS ON ITS OWN, FAILURE OF KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM, FAILURE OF REMOTE ENTRY SYSTEM, BUZZING OF LIGHTS WHEN DIMMING, AND FLICKERING OF HEADLIGHTS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY DEALERSHIPS THAT BECAUSE MY VEHICLE IS A "FLEET CAR" THAT IT DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR ANY RECALLS. PROBLEMS BEGAN WHILE UNDER WARRANTY. STEERING WIRING HARNESS WAS REPLACED WHILE UNDER WARRANTY. AT AROUND 65,000 MILES, SYSTEMS BEGAN TO FAIL DESPITE MY REGULAR CARE OF THE VEHICLE WHICH I HAVE DOCUMENTED. AFTER WARRANTY EXPIRED, I WAS ROUTINELY TURNED DOWN FOR RECALL INSPECTIONS. A RECENT EMISSIONS INSPECTION CAUSED CONCERN BY THE MECHANIC OVER THE STEERING OF THE VEHICLE AND I WAS ENCOURAGED TO ADDRESS THESE PROBLEMS AGAIN. I CANNOT AFFORD A NEW CAR. *TR
2006 CHEVY MALIBU CUSTOMER REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT. *MW THE LEFT SIDE SUSPENSION, FRONT RIM, AND TIRE WERE REPLACED. *JB
DRIVING 30 MPH DOWN A COUNTRY ROAD. DROVE OVER BLACK ICE STARTED TO FISHTAIL. LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE GOING INTO THREE 360'S. IN THE FOURTH 360 I HIT A TREE HEAD ON CAUSING TOTAL DAMAGE TO THE FRONT OF THE CAR. SLID ALONG A BARBEDWIRE FENCE FOR THE BACK END TO HIT THE TREE AGAIN AND WRAPPING THE CAR AROUND THE TREE. THE TREE THEN FELL ON TOP OF THE CAR. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHENEVER THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE, SHE HEARD A CLUNKING SOUND COMING FROM THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE BALL JOINT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 48,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000. I AM THE OWNER OF MY SECOND CHEVROLET MALIBU. THE FIRST ONE WAS A 1999 LS MODEL THE SECOND A 2003 LS MODEL. ON THE FIRST ONE I HAD TO REPLACE THE INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKET AND BOTH FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS,ALSO THE AIR FAN SWITCH,ALL BEFORE THE VEHICLE REACHED 60000 MILES. ON THE 2003 I HAD TO REPLACE THE FAN SWITCH AND THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL BEARING. THE 2003 HAS 70000 MILES ON IT DOES GM CONTINUE TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS YEAR AFTER YEAR????? PLEASE GET BACK TO ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND LET ME KNOW WHAT RECOURSE I HAVE? *NM
