POWER STEERING FAILURE WHILE DRIVING--VERY DANGEROUS. IT IS AT THE SHOP NOW FOR POSSIBLE REPAIR DEPENDING ON COSTS. I'VE READ THAT THIS IS VERY COSTLY AND THAT THE ISSUE MAY BE AN ALREADY RECALL FIX.
MY DASH CRACKED FROM THE AIRBAG INFLATING YOU COULD'VE HEARD IT FROM A MILE AWAY I NEED HELP I JUST B9UGHT MY CAR IN DECEMBER
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED AND THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO STEER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO RODENROTH MOTORS INC (3055 S MACKINAC TRAIL, SAULT STE, MARIE, MI 49783, (906) 662-4756), BUT THE CONTACT REFUSED TO PAY FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 74,000.
POWER STEERING SIGN COMES ON WHEN FIRST TURNING CAR ON, LOCKING THE WHEEL UP. WHEN I TURN CAR OFF AND RESTART IT ISSUE GOES AWAY. NOW STARTING TO HAPPEN WHILE I AM DRIVING THE VEHICLE.
POWER STEERING FAILS WHILE DRIVING. WIFE ALMOST CRASHED WHILE DRIVING. VERY HARD TO TURN UNDER SLOW DRIVING CONDITIONS.
WHILE DRIVING ON MCBRIDE AVE IN WEST PATERSON SUDDENLY THE POWER ASSIST ON THE STEERING WENT OUT AS I WAS TURNING IT WAS VERY VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN THE WHEEL VERY CLOSE TO CRASHING. I CHECKED MY VIN FOR RECALL I AM NOT ON THE LIST. THE CAR IS VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AND NOW I CANNOT USE IT AND THE REPAIR WOULD COST ME WELL OVER $1,000 THAT I DO NOT HAVE. THIS SHOULD BE AN OPEN RECALL FOR ANYBODY WHO HAS THIS PROBLEM BEFORE MORE PEOPLE DIE.
THIS CAR HAD MANY RECALLS THEY DID FIX THE ONE OF THE STEERING COLUMN AND IT WAS NEVER RIGHT MADE CLICKING AOUND I PURCHASED FROM SECOND PARTY WHO HAD IT DONE I FIXED THE TIRE ROD ON THAT SIDE IT NEVER FIXED THE PROBLEM NOW THE POWER STEERING MADE SOUND STARTED SHAKING THE STEERINV WHEEL AFTER THE FACT I KNOW THERE IS RECALL REGARDING THIS ISSUE OF POWER STEERING. SO PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK I HAVE DISABILITY AND NEED MY CAR TO BE SAFE I'M UNABLE TO DRIVE ANYTHING THAT REQUIRES SUCH STRENGTH.
THE CAR'S STEERING WHEEL VIBRATES LEFT TO RIGHT WHEN THE CAR IS TURNED ON. WHEN DRIVING, "POWER STEERING" IS DISPLAYED ON THE PANEL MAKING TURNING VERY DIFFICULT.
ON OR AROUND FEB 19, 2019 MY POWER STEERING GAVE OUT WHILE DRIVING TO WORK. I PULLED OVER AND RESTARTED MY CAR SINCE IT WAS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO TURN THE WHEEL. AFTER RESTARTING MY CAR SEEMED TO BE FINE. UNTIL IT HAPPENED AGAIN. THE POWER STEERING LIGHT APPEARED ON MY DASH AND THEN AGAIN I COULD BARELY MAKE ANY TURNS WHICH IS COMPLETELY UNSAFE ESPECIALLY IF I HAD TO TURN TO GET TO A SAFE AREA TO RESTART MY CAR. AFTER MY OWN RESEARCH, I CALLED CHEVROLET AND I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON A SIMILAR PART THAT WOULD CAUSE THE SAME THINGS AS I WAS HAVING AND IF I TOOK IT INTO A CHEVY DEALERSHIP AND HAD IT OFFICIALLY DIAGNOSED AS THE SAME ISSUE AS THE RECALL WHICH WAS A TORQUE SENSOR WITH THE POWER STEERING SHAFT I WOULD BE ABLE TO GET REIMBURSED FOR THE $110 DIAGNOSIS FEE AND THE COST OF REPAIRING THE VEHICLE. ON FEB 26 2019 IS WHEN I HAD MY APT AT CAMP CHEVROLET IN SPOKANE, WA PH:5094440968. THEY INFORMED ME THAT IN FACT IT WAS THE SAME PART AS THE PREVIOUS RECALL BUT BECAUSE MY CAR HAD ALREADY BEEN FIXED BY THAT RECALLED PART, BEFORE I OWED IT, THAT THEY WOULDN'T COVER THAT COST. I WOULD NOT OF TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP IF I WASN'T INFORMED THAT WITH PROPER DIAGNOSE I WOULD BE ABLE FOR REIMBURSEMENT. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS ISSUE AND IT WAS NOT CAUSED BY ERRATIC DRIVING BUT A KNOWN ISSUE THAT WAS IDENTIFIED ENOUGH TO CAUSE THE RECALL IN THE FIRST PLACE.
MY POWER STEERING GOES OUT RANDOMLY HERE AND THERE FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON AND RECENTLY WENT OUT 2X (TWICE THIS MORNING OF 2/19/2019. I FOUND OUT ORIGINALLY ABOUT THIS ISSUE WITH A O2 SENSOR I HAVE THAT GIVES ME INFORMATION ABOUT THE CAR AND REALIZED THERE WAS A RECALL ABOUT A SIMILAR ISSUE.

BRAEGER CHEVROLET (4100 S 27TH ST, MILWAUKEE, WI 53221) STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V064000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 107,000.
HAVE A 2007 CHEVY MALIBU THE POWER STEERING HAS GONE OUT ON ME 3 TIME IN THE LAST 2 MONTHS. WHEN IT HAPPENS IF I TURN CAR OFF AND TURN BACK ON IT WORKS AGAIN CHEVROLET SAID MY CAR IS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST TO FIX BUT IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS OF OTHERS ON RECALL
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IDLING, THE STEERING WHEEL MOVED FROM SIDE TO SIDE ON ITS OWN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED EVERYDAY LAST WEEK. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE FAILURE BEGAN FIVE YEARS AGO, BUT WENT AWAY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 145,000.
STEERING WHEEL TWITCHES WHEN THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING SYSTEM ACTUALLY WORKS, BUT IN MOST CASES THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK. THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING SYSTEM WILL ALSO GO OUT AND QUIT WORKING AS I AM DRIVING MY VEHICLE CAUSING A SUDDEN JERK IN THE STEERING OF MY VEHICLE. Consumer stated sensor has been replaced twice now and power steering currently is not working again. This is a safety concern because power steering would randomly quit working while driving. Consumer found a similar recall for this issue on other year Chevy Malibu but for some reason consumer's model is not included in the recall, but is still having the same issue.
LOST OF POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING AND STATIONARY THE STEERING WHEEL MOVES BY IT SELF THIS HAPPENED ON CITY STREETS AND ON THE HIGHWAY I HAVE TO PULL OVER SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF AND RESTART IT .THIS DOES NOT ALWAYS WORK AT FIRST IMY HAVE TO DO THIS SEVERAL TIMES AND IT KEEPS DOING ALL THE WAY HOME.I MY HAVE TO PULL OVER 4 OR 5 TIMES TO MAKE IT HOME. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE LOCAL DEALER. THE CONTACT CALLED SHEBOYGAN CHEVROLET BUICK GMC (3400 S BUSINESS DR, SHEBOYGAN, WI, (920) 624-4110) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE REPAIRS WOULD BE AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE WARRANTY WOULD NOT COVER THE REPAIRS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO MUSCLE THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND RESTART THE VEHICLE MORE THEN ONCE TO GET THE POWER STEERING TO RESPOND. THE DEALER BERGSTROM CHEVROLET BUICK GMC OF OSHKOSH (355 N WASHBURN ST #101, OSHKOSH, WI 54904 (800) 417-1384) STATED THAT THE ISSUE MAY BE WITH THE ELECTRIC POWER ASSIST SYSTEM. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
I STARTED PAYING ON MY 2007 CHEVY MALIBU LAST YEAR AND NOW THE POWER STEERING IS GOING OFF RANDOMLY. THERE WAS A RECALL IN 2015 BUT NOT ALL OF THE MALIBU'S WERE PART OF IT ACORDING TO GM. I WILL BE GOING DOWN THE ROAD AND IT WILL JUST STOP WORKING AND THE STEERING WHEEL WILL JERK TO THE RIGHT. IT GOES OFF WHEN YOUR SITTING STATIONERY OR EVEN TURNING ALSO. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD TO ANYONE WHO HAS A MALIBU NOT JUST SOME MALIBU'S WITH A SPECIFIC VIN NUMBER.
WHEN MY WIFE WENT TO BACK OUT OF A PARKING SPOT THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING. THE RADIO SHOWED POWER STEERING. SHE STOPPED HER CAR THEN CUT IT OFF AND STARTED IT BACK AND DROVE APPROXIMATELY A MILE. ONCE SHE ARRIVED HOME THE RADIO WAS STILL SHOWING POWER STEERING. I WENT TO BACK OUT OF DRIVE WAY AND IT HAD NO POWER STEERING AGAIN. UPON CHECKING THERE IS NUMEROUS RECALLS AND COMPLAINTS FOR THIS VERY REASON BUT UPON CHECKING THERE WAS NO RECALL ON MY VEHICLE. I CONTACTED CHEVY ABOUT THIS AND THEY ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE BUT REFUSE TO FIX THE ISSUE ON MY VEHICLE CAUSE IT'S NOT UNDER RECALL. SEEMS THAT CHEVY KNOWS THERE IS A PROBLEM BUT DOESN'T WANT TO TAKE OWNERSHIP OF THE PROBLEM AND REPAIR MY VEHICLE
A WEEK AGO, MY POWER STEERING HAS STARTED MALFUNCTIONING. THE SENSOR GOES OFF AND STATES ERROR WITH POWER STEERING. IN THE BEGINNING, STEERING WHEEL WOULD SHAKE WHEN IDLE BUT NOW LOCKS UP WHILE DRIVING. UPON RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE, THE GM RECALL SITE CAME UP WITH THE SAME YEAR, MAKE, MODEL AND EXACT CONDITION BUT AFTER CONTACTING THE DEALERSHIP AND GM THEY STATED MY VEHICLE WAS NOT PART OF THIS RECALL. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS DRIVING SITUATION AS I COULD NOT TURN THE STEERING WHEEL WHEN TRYING TO MAKE LEFT OR RIGHT TURNS. I HAVE CHILDREN AND COULD NOW NOT EVEN SAFELY DRIVE MY OWN AND ONLY FORM OF TRANSPORTATION. CHEVY HAS NOT HELPED WITH MY SITUATION WHATSOEVER. MY FATHER IS A MECHANIC SO VEHICLE HAS ALWAYS BEEN PROPERLY MAINTAINED AND FLUIDS KEPT AT PROPER LEVELS. RECALL NUMBER IS 14772 AND THE CONDITION IS STATED TO BE CAUSED BY A DEFECT WHERE VEHICLES EXPERIENCE A SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER STEERING ASSIST THAT COULD OCCUR AT ANY TIME WHILE DRIVING. PLEASE ASSIST AS I CANNOT DRIVE MY VEHICLE IN THIS CONDITION AND WILL BE AFFECTING ALL ASPECTS OF MY RESPONSIBILITIES.
POWER STEERING FAILED WHILE MAKING A TURN ONTO THE FREEWAY. STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP AND JERKED THE CAR TO THE LEFT AND ALMOST MADE US GO OFF THE RAMP IF WE HAD NOT GAINED CONTROL. CHIME STARTED GOING OFF BUT NO LIGHT IN DASH INDICATING SOMETHING IS MALFUNCTIONING. STEERING WHEEL SHAKES LEFT AND RIGHT WHILE CAR IS IDLE AND WHILE DRIVING. CHIME IS FREQUENT WHILE DRIVING BECAUSE OF STEERING WHEEL SHAKING.WE HAVE A VIDEO OF THIS HAPPENING WHEN CAR WAS ON IDLE.

ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED, THE POWER STEERING RETURNED TO NORMAL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 119,000.
TAKATA RECALL MY STEERING WHEEL STARTED TO SHAKE IN PARK AND I WOULD LOOSE POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING AND NOW THE POWER STEERING IS COMPLETELY OUT I. MY 2007 CHEVROLET MALIBU I LOOKED UP ON LINE AND THERE SEEMS TO BE A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE OUT THERE WITH THE SAME ISSUE AND THAT THE 2007 MALIBU HAS NOT HAD A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE I BELIEVE THERE SHOULD'VE BEEN ONE THIS SEEMS TO BE AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE CAR THAT SHOULD BE ADDRESSED THANK YOU FOR YOU TIME.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. A LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V064000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 128,000.

THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND POWERED OFF THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. TAKATA RECALL. CAR CURRENTLY DECIDES WHEN IT WANTS TO ALLOW THE POWER STEERING TO WORK. SITTING STILL NOT MOVING THE STEERING WHEEL SHAKES. WHILE DRIVING THE POWER STEERING WILL GO OUT WITH NO WARNING MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO DRIVE IN THE CITY OR AT SLOW SPEEDS. CONTACTED LOCAL AND CORPORATE CHEVY AND NEITHER ONE COULD HELP WITH THE SITUATION.
STEERING WHEEL MOVES RAPIDLY SIDE TO SIDE ALMOST AS IF IT IS TWITCHING. THIS CAUSES MY CAR TO PULL SIDE TO SIDE WHILE DRIVING. POWER STEERING GOES OUT WHEN TURNING CAR ON AND WHEN DRIVING MAKING IT HARD TO CONTROL THE CAR ONCE THIS HAPPENS WHEN NOT STATIONARY. I BELIEVE THE PROBLEM MAY BE MY TORQUE SENSORS.

ABOUT A WEEK AGO, THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN TO SHAKE VERY ABRUPTLY AND RAPIDLY. EVENTUALLY THE POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING. AT TIMES THE STEERING WHEEL WILL WORK BUT STILL CONTINUE TO SHAKE BUT TYPICALLY IT BECOMES ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO STEER AS THE POWER STEERING HAS COMPLETELY FAILED. I'VE SEEN OTHER ARTICLES ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR ISSUE WITH CARS THAT ARE THE EXACT MODEL A YEAR, HOWEVER CHEVY DOES NOT WANT TO HELP REGARDING FIXING THIS ISSUE. I HAVE CONTACTED THEM AND THEY INSIST THERE IS NO RECALL HOWEVER UPON A QUICK GOOGLE SEARCH YOU CAN FIND ARTICLES ABOUT THIS ISSUE EVERYWHERE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT IT WAS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 150,000.

THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
THE POWER STEERING IS INTERMITTENT

THE CONTACT PURCHASED POWER STEERING FLUID, BUT WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE A RESERVOIR. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 146,098.
POWER STEERING WHEEL LOCKS WHEN TRYING TO PARALLEL PARK. POWER STEERING WHEEL IS MANEUVERING WHEELS WHEN IN MOTION ON THE STREET AND HIGHWAY CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO GO OFF LANES. POWER STEERING WHEEL WOBBLES WHEN VEHICLE IS ON AND STATIONED

TURNED THE CAR OFF AND LOOKED UNDER TO SEE IF FLUID WAS LEAKING, IT WAS NOT. TURNED THE CAR BACK ON AND STEERING WAS FINE FOR A WHILE THEN JERKY AGAIN, SEEMS SIMILAR TO TORQUE SENSOR RECALL FOR OTHER MALIBUS BUT MY VIN IS NOT LISTED AS HAVING THAT RECALL
THE POWER STEERING SENSOR KEEPS GOING OUT ON OUR CAR, DISABAING THE POWER STEERING, IT'S HAPPENED EVERY YEAR AROUND THE SAME TIME. THERE IS AN ACTIVE RECALL AND CHEVY HAS REPAIRED IT 3 TIMES AND IS NOW REFUSING TO FIX IT AGAIN, YET IT'S A RECURRING ISSUE. IS THERE ANYTHING WE CAN DO? IT'S A $600+ FIX, THAT'S ALOT OF MONEY FOR SOMETHING THAT KEEPS BREAKING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING FAILED AND THE STEERING WHEEL SHOOK. IN AN ATTEMPT TO AVOID ONCOMING TRAFFIC, THE CONTACT YANKED THE STEERING WHEEL IN ORDER TO PULL THE VEHICLE OVER. YORK CHEVROLET BUICK (2456 US 40, BRAZIL, INDIANA 47834, (812) 420-1015) REQUESTED THAT A DIAGNOSTIC BE PERFORMED AND OFFERED THE OPTION OF AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 174,000.
STREERING WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING DIDN'T HAVE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE THERE WAS A RECALL BUT DIDN'T OWN THE CAR AT THE TIME BOUGHT THE CAR FROM PRIVATE OWNER AND RECALL WAS ALREADY CLOSED. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND SOME HAVE BEEN INJURED OR KILLED. CONTACTED THIGM AND THEY WILL NOT COVER THIS ISSUE AND DIDN'T SHOW ANY CONCERN. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH GM AND THEY SHOULD HAVE COVERED THIS A ISSUE IT'S A MATTER OF LIFE OR DEATH.

IN ADDITION, A BEEPING NOISE WAS HEARD. THE CONTACT CALLED PARKS CHEVROLET CHARLOTTE AT 704-598-4000 (LOCATED AT 8530 IKEA BLVD, CHARLOTTE, NC 28262) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE TECHNICIAN RECOMMENDED A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 250,000.
CAR LOSSES POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING AND THE STERRING WHEEL SHACKS SIDE TO SIDE WHILE AT IDLE. THE VEHICLE WILL CHIME AND DISPLAY POWER STERRING. VEHICLE DOES IT MOST WHILE DRIVING MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO STEER WHEN THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT. ACCORDING TO GM DEALERSHIP MY VIN # IS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST.
THE SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON AND GOES OFF QUITE OFTEN. THIS COULD CAUSE ACCIDENT OR KILL A PERSON IF GOES OFF. THE POWER STEERING STARTS GETTING HARD TO USE THEN MAKES NOISE THEN FINE. AIRBAG LIGHT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE IN MOTION. POWER STEERING IS IN MOTION. ON HIGHWAY AND TURNING. THERE IS NO RECALLS THAT I KNOW OF FOR AIRBAGS BUT HEARD THERE WAS. THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE SINCE I BOUGHT CAR 1/27/18 TO TODAY

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED THE CONTACT WITH CASE NUMBER: 8-4442499282. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 127,000.

LOSS OF POWER STEERING . STEERING WHEEL VIBRATES
WHILE DRIVING IN NORMAL CONDITIONS, ELECTRIC STEERING ASSIST GOES OUT MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE. IF IT HAPPENS WHILE IN A CORNER IT COULD RESULT IN A COLLISION.
MY 2007 CHEVY MALIBU WAS ON THE HIGHWAY YESTERDAY, AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CHIME STARTING GOING OFF AND THE POWER STEERING LOCKED UP, AS WELL AS THE BRAKES. THIS WAS A VERY SCARY EXPERIENCE FOR ME, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE I WAS GOING AROUND A CORNER WHEN THIS HAPPENED AND I WAS AT RISK OF LOSING MY LIFE DUE TO THE POWER STEERING CUTTING OUT RANDOMLY. I THINK THEY SHOULD LOOK INTO THIS MORE AS THE MALIBU HAS ALWAYS HAD AN ISSUE WITH RANDOM ELECTRICAL AND POWER STEERING ISSUES THAT COULD CAUSE FATAL ACCIDENTS AND INJURIES. NOTE* THE VIDEO WAS TAKEN ABOUT 5 MINUTES AFTER THE INCIDENT, THE STEERING WHEEL WAS STILL MOVING BY ITSELF AND WAS CUTTING IN AND OUT.*
CAR STEERING LOCKS AND I CAN'T CONTROL THE CAR. IT'S HARD TO TURN AND I HAVE TO PULL OVER. I TURN THE CAR OFF THEN TURN IT ON AND IT WILL WORK, BUT THEN IT WILL DO THE SAME THING. I HAVE ALMOST CRASHED AS I DRIVE A LONG DISTANCE FROM HOME TO SCHOOL TO WORK. I CALLED AND WENT TO A DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAY MY VIN ISN'T COVERED BY THE STEERING CONTROL SENSOR RECALL THAT IS POSTED FOR CARS 2006-2007, YET MY CAR IS HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE AND IT IS VERY DANGEROUS.
