SLOW TO ACCELERATE THEN JERKS FORWARD .CAR HAS65000 ON IT NO TRANSMISSION LEAKS PLUS THE TRANSMISSION IS SEALED .NO DIP STICK TO CHECK LEVEL.DEALER SAID THAT'S BECAUSE IT'S A SEALED UNIT.THEY ASLO SAID L DONT HAVE TO CHANGE IT JUST YET.LOW MILES.HOWEVER I'VE HEARD THIS YEARS TRANSMISSION ARE VERY BAD.

THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND THE STEERING OPERATED AS INTENDED. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL DAYS LATER. STERLING MCCALL CHEVROLET (17800 NORTH FWY, HOUSTON, TX 77090, 281-397-8600) WAS CONTACTED AND AN APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO PAY TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 109,000.
THE POWER STEERING SENSOR STOP'S STEERING DURING DRIVING AND TRACTION LOSS. THIS CAR IS VERY DANGEROUS AND COSTLY TO REPAIR. I PRAY NOBODY DIES FROM THIS. I SEE MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS FROM OTHER OWNERS.*DT
PUT CAR IN GEAR. THE BUTTON STAYS IN AND KEY WON'T COME OUT. THE CAR ISN'T ENGAGED SO IT CAN MOVE ON IT'S OWN. *TR
PASSENGER SIDE LOW BEAM FUSE KEEPS BLOWING
WHILE TRAVELING VEHICLE WILL BE RUNNING NORMALLY THEN IT WILL SHOW THE POWER STEERING LIGHT GIVING A SHORT WARNING, THEN THE POWER STEERING WILL NOT BE ABLE TO OPERATE, HAVE TO PULL OVER AND RESTART THE CAR.
WITHIN A YEAR I HAVE HAD TO HAVE THE HEADLIGHT BULBS IN MY 2010 CHEVI MALIBU REPLACED 7 TIMES. THAT IS INSANE! IT IS TIME CONSUMING, EXPENSIVE AND UNEXCEPTIONAL. THE REPLACEMENT IS NO EASY FIX AS THE BUMPER AND WHEEL COVER HAVE TO BE REMOVED TO GET ACCESS. THIS IS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING AND NEEDS A RECALL TO FIX THIS ONCE FOR ALL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHEVROLET MALIBU. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR CENTER BRAKE LIGHT FAILED TO ILLUMINATE WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE CENTER BRAKE LIGHT WAS REPAIRED TWICE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT INTERMITTENTLY THE AIR BAGS AND POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED WHILE DRIVING. ADDITIONALLY, AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE STEERING WHEEL FAILED TO OPERATE AS DESIGNED. THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED AND THE VEHICLE REGAINED STEERING FUNCTIONALITY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT OCCASIONALLY TWO ATTEMPTS AT RESTARTING THE VEHICLE WERE NEEDED BEFORE THE STEERING WHEEL OPERATED AS DESIGNED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED HOWEVER, THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO RETRIEVE A FAILURE CODE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 113,000.*DT CONSUMER STATED POWER STEERING MODULE AND MOTOR HAS BEEN REPLACED.*JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHEVROLET MALIBU. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE BRAKE LIGHTS WOULD FLASH WITHOUT DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ESC AND TCM SERVICE WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V252000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, EXTERIOR LIGHTING, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL). THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000.
I GOT INTO A CAR ACCIDENT ON 04/08/2020 AND THE AIR BAG DIDN'T DEPLOY.
POWER STEERING HAS BEGUN TO FAIL. MILEAGE AT 106,000. GENERALLY HAPPENS AT LOW SPEEDS. ALL CONTROL IS LOST MAKING IT DIFFICULT/IMPOSSIBLE TO STEER VEHICLE. MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. ISSUE IS RESOLVED WITH A RESTART, HOWEVER SOMETIMES IT DOES COME BACK ALMOST IMMEDIATELY.
REPEATING HEADLAMP FAILURE. BULBS HAVE BEEN REPLACED THREE TIMES IN PAST YEAR. BOTH BULBS (DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDES) HAVE BEEN REPLACED DURING SERVICE THOUGH ONLY ONE HAD FAILED, IN HOPES OF EXTENDING TIME BETWEEN THE NEXT REQUIRED SERVICE. HEADLAMP BULB REPLACEMENT ON THIS VEHICLE IS COMPLEX, REQUIRING REMOVAL OF THE FRONT-END/BUMPER ASSEMBLY TO ACCESS THE LAMP ASSEMBLY, USUALLY REQUIRING BODY SHOP EXPERTISE AND COST (>$200+) VERSUS A QUICK DIY JOB OR LOCAL SERVICE MECHANIC. INTERNET SEARCHES INDICATE MANY CUSTOMERS WITH SIMILAR PROBLEMS, POINTING TO A FAILED DESIGN BY CHEVROLET WITH THE DAYLIGHT RUNNING TIME CIRCUITRY CAUSING HIGH CURRENTS LEADING TO HIGH TEMPERATURES AND OVERHEATING/MELTING/DEFORMED CONNECTORS, PIGTAIL AND WIRING COMPONENTS. A VEHICLE WITHOUT TWO WORKING HEADLAMPS IS AN OPERATIONAL, CITATIONAL AND SAFETY HAZARD, THUS DISABLING THE VEHICLE. THIS DESIGN PROBLEM MUST BE ADDRESSED BY RECALL.
I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE MY PASSENGER AND DRIVERS SIDE HEADLIGHTS FOR THE 5TH TIME IN THE LAST 3 YEARS. JUST REPLACED THE PASSENGER HEADLIGHT LAST WEEK AND EXACTLY A WEEK LATER, IT IS BACK OUT ON THE SAME SIDE, 6TH TIME. IN THE PAST, I'VE HAD BOTH REPLACED WHEN ONE BLOWS OUT BECAUSE OF HOW YOU HAVE ACCESS THE HEADLIGHTS, THE CAR REPAIR SHOPS CHARGES ME $180 AND UP. IMAGINE ME HAVING TO DOING THIS THAT MUCH BECAUSE IT IS MANDATORY TO GET REPAIRED. I CAN NOT DRIVE WITH ONE HEADLIGHT OR NONE. ONE BLOWS AND A FEW MONTHS LATER THE OTHER BLOWS OR THE SAME. IT IS HARD TO TELL EXACTLY AT WHAT POINT IT HAPPENS BECAUSE AT TIMES YOU JUST DON'T KNOW IT IS OUT UNTIL SOMEONE CALLS YOU OR A KIND DRIVER LET'S YOU KNOW. I FOUND OUT THIS LAST TIME BY PULLING INTO MY GARAGE AND SEEING THE DIM GLARE ON THE FRONT WALL AS I WAS PULLING IN. THERE ARE LOTS OF OTHERS WITH THIS PROBLEM IN THE GOOGLE SEARCH FOR A RESOLUTION. PEOPLE HAVE TRIED SEVERAL OPTIONS FOR REPAIRS AND NO LUCK. THIS MUST BE RECALLED. THE 2010 CHEVY MALIBU DESIGN TO REPAIR THE HEADLIGHT MAKES IT HIGHLY INCONVENIENT FOR MY POCKETS DUE TO THE COST OF LABOR. MANY SHOPS HAVE REFUSED SERVICING ME BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT OF TIME IT TAKES TO GET TO THE HEADLIGHT BY TAKING OFF THE BUMPER AND THE NUMBER OF SCREWS TO BE REMOVED ETC. I HAVE HAD TO MISS WORK, GO IN LATE OR LEAVE EARLY TO GET MY HEADLIGHT/S REPLACED. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE AND UNLUCKY BEING AN OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE, IN A CURVE, THE POWER STEERING QUIT WORKING, THE WHEELS TURNED STRAIGHT AND I HAD TO SLAM ON MY BRAKES TO AVOID HITTING THE BARRIER WALL. AFTER TURNING THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTING IT, THE POWER STEERING BEGAN WORKING AGAIN. THE POWER STEERING NOW QUITS WORKING AFTER A MILE OF DRIVING, ONLY TO START WORKING AGAIN AFTER A RESTART OF THE ENGINE. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR AROUND 20,000 MILES.
I STARTED MY CAR AFTER SITTING ON THE DRIVEWAY SERVICE ESC LIGHT CAME ON AND HAD NO POWER STEERING, THIS IS THE 2ND TIME IN IN 2 DAYS. I WAS ABLE TO RESET MY CAR WITH MY SNAPON MODIS SCANNER. THIS HAPPENED WITH NO PAOWER STEERING THE PREVIOUS DAY FOR MY SON
THE POWER STEERING LOCKS UP AND I LOOSE POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING MAKING IT VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. THIS KEEPS ON HAPPENING AND IT SAYS I DO NOT HAVE A RECALL BUT THIS IS HAPPENING TO MY VEHICLE EVERY DAY AND I DO NOT HAVE MORE THAN ONE VEHICLE TO DRIVE.
VEHICLE GOES INTO POWER ENGINE REDUCED MODE/ESC OFF/ SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL MODE. THE CAR LOSES SPEED AND GOES ABOUT 20 MPH THE RPM GO CRAZY AND CAR SHAKES VIOLENTLY. IT HAS HAPPENED FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS AND IT HAPPENS WHILE IDDLE, WHILE DRIVING IT, WHILE THE AC IS ON OR OFF IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. IVE REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY TWICE, ACCELERATOR PEDAL 3 TIMES, BATTERY, MAP SENSOR, KNOCK SENSOR, BATTERY TERMINALS, POWER TRAIN RELAY, SPARK PLUGS, CLEANED ALL THE COROSION AND ITS BEEN AT THE CHEVY DEALER NUMEROUS TIMES FOR THIS SAME ISSUE AND STILL THE CAR IS NOT FIXED. IVE SPENT SO MUCH MONEY AND EVEN CHEVY CANNOT FIND WHATS WRONG WITH THIS CAR. ITS HAPPENED WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY, STREETS, WHILE TURNING OR STOPPED AT A LIGHT. ALL MY ELECTRIAL DOSENT WORK. MY PASSENGER LOW BEAM LIGHT KEEPS BLOWING OUT AND MY SPEAKERS KEEP GOING IN AND OUT. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THIS CAR. THIS IS JUST UNACCEPTABLE AND VERY DANGEROUS.

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 141,000.
POWER STEERING WILL RANDOMLY GO OUT. I HAVE TO TURN MY VEHICLE OFF AND TURN IT BACK ON AND THEN IT WORKS PERFECTLY NORMAL. WHEN THIS HAPPENS I AM MOVING AND IN THE PROCESS OF TURNING. IT HAS HAPPENED ONCE IN JANUARY AND ONCE IN MARCH NOW. IN JANUARY I TOOK IT TO RUN A DIAGNOSTICS ON IT RIGHT AFTER AND NOTHING CAME UP.
WHEN I STARTED THE CAR THE STEERING WHEEL TWITCHES ON ITS OWN AND WHEN I'M DRIVING THE STEERING WHEEL GETS STIFF AND IT SAYS SERIVCE ESC/POWERSTEERING.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CHUCK NICHOLSON INC LOCATED AT (7190 OHIO 39, MILLERSBURG, OH 44654), TO BE DIAGNOSED WHICH WAS STILL PENDING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 72,000.
Power steering and yes it is. Not safe to drive because of the steering. The dealership has changed the part under the recall as well as the warranty Yes by several people No warning lights or anything came on to show that there was a issue
DROVE TO THE STORE AND WHEN I STARTED MY CAR TO LEAVE MY STEERING WHEEL WAS LOCKED UP AND ON MY DASH READ POWER STEERING, SERVICE ESC, SERVICE AIR BAG AND TRACTION LIGHT WAS ON.
PULLED MY 2010MALIBU OUT OF GARAGE AND 15 MINUTES LATER TRIED TO PUT BACK IN GARAGE BUT ONLY HEARD CLICK, CLICK. HAVE TAKEN CAR TO SEVERAL AUTO SHOPS AND ALL SAID ENGINE IS LOCKED UP AND NEED A NEW ENGINE.
SERVICE ESC LIGHT COMES ON AND THEN YOU LOOSE YOUR STEERING
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHEVROLET MALIBU. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THE STEERING WAS DIFFICULT TO TUN IN EITHER DIRECTION. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 131,000.
POWER STEERING GOING OUT. ESC FOR OFF. IT IS THEN VERY DIFFICULT TO STEER THE CAR. I HAVE TO PULL OVER SHUT THE ENGINE OFF. WAIT A FEW MINUTES AND TURN THE CAR BACK ON. I HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN 4 TIMES IN A 3 MILE DRIVE.
POWER STEERING NEEDS SERVICED. STEERING WHEEL SHAKES SIDE TO SIDE. IT CAN TAKE MULTIPLE TIMES TO START IT BEFORE IT WILL WORK. DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD IT GOES OUT.
I HAVE TO REPLACE MY HEADLIGHTS ON MY 2010 CHEVY MALIBU 3 TIMES OVER THE LAST 12 MONTHS. TWICE HAS BEEN IN THE PASSENGER SIDE. WHEN I SEE OTHER 2009-2012 MALIBU. IT LOOKS AS IF THEY ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE OF THE PASSENGER SIDE HEADLOGHT BEING OUT
I HAVE A 2010 CHEVROLET MALIBU I HAVE IT SINCE JANUARY OF 2011. THIS ISSUE HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST 8 TIMES SINCE I OWE THE CAR IN DIFFERENT OCCATIONS AND THE CAR IN MOTION. TODAY, FEBRUARY 17TH, 2020 WAS THE LATEST TIME IT HAPPENED. IT IS VERY SCARY. THE CAR WHILE DRIVING GIVES ME THESE MESSAGES ON THE DASHBOARD. SERVICE ESC, ESC OFF AND POWER STEERING. THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKS AND IT IS ALMOST IMPOSIBLE TO MOVE IT. EVERYTIME, I TURN THE EMERGENCY LIGHTS ON, SLOW DOWN AND TURN OFF THE ENGINE, PUT CAR IN PARKING AND WHEN I THANKFULLY I TURN THE ENGINE ON AGAIN AND IT WORKS. BUT IT IS VERY SCARY AND DANGEROUS AS THE CARS BEHIND ME, DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON AND ALMOST HIT ME.
POWER STEERING STOPS WORKING WHILE DRIVING AND DASH DISPLAY SHOWING "ESC POWER STEERING". NEXT TIME I START CAR POWER STEERING WORKS FOR A WHILE HOWEVER THE STEERING WHEEL STARTSTWITCHING/SHAKING BY ITSELF. POWER STEERING STOPS WORKING WHILE IN MOTION AND AT OTHER TIMES UPON START UP.
WE HAVE REPLACED THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS) TORQUE SENSOR TWICE, WITH DIFFERING BRANDS (AC DELCO, AND CAN'T REMEMBER THE OTHER). SINCE IT'S AN ISSUE WITH THE EPS, THE TRACTION CONTROL IS OUT/DISABLED AS WELL. THE CAR FEELS LIKE IT COULD BE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE, CONSIDERING IT'S A FULL SIZE SEDAN AND THE OPERATOR IS 115LBS WITH HER CHILDREN IN THE CAR. IT'S EXCEPTIONALLY DIFFICULT TO STEER AT SLOWER SPEEDS, AND ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE PARKED. THE DEALERSHIP SHE BOUGHT IT FROM, NOR THE LOCAL CHEVY DEALERSHIP WILL TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY, AND SHE CAN'T AFFORD TO SINK EVEN MORE MONEY INTO THE CAR. THIS IS RATHER OUTRAGEOUS CONSIDERING THE CAR IS NORMALLY MAINTAINED AND THE DEALERSHIP SHE BOUGHT IT FROM WAS AWARE OF THE ISSUE AS SHE HAD BROUGHT IT TO THEIR SERVICE CENTER (DUE TO PURCHASED WARRANTY AT THE TIME) WHERE WHATEVER-THEY-DID RESET THE LIGHT, BUT THE ISSUE RECURRED LATER ON. DATE GIVEN IS APPROXIMATELY THE MONTH ISSUES BEGAN TO GET SIGNIFICANTLY WORSE. THE ISSUE STARTED QUITE SOME TIME AGO. THIS HAS NOT RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT STRICTLY DUE TO THE OPERATORS OVER-ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION. MILEAGE I REPORT IS APPROXIMATE, BUT CERTAINLY WAS LOWER THAN THE NUMBER GIVEN WHEN IT BEGAN. *TR

WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE, (VEHICLE IN MOTION), I SUDDENLY LOSE POWER STEERING AND THE ABILITY TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE SAFELY. IN SOME INSTANCES IT HAS HAPPENED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A TURN OR WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY AS THE HIGHWAY COMES TO A BEND. WHILE AT A STOP SIGN/LIGHT, THE STEERING WHEEL WILL BEGIN TO RATTLE OR SHAKE AND MAKES NOISE.. THIS PROBLEM STARTED APPROXIMATELY ONE MONTH AGO BUT HAS BECOME MORE FREQUENT THIS PAST WEEK. AT TIMES IF I PULL OVER AND TURN THE VEHICLE OFF FOR A SHORT TIME THEN RESTART IT, POWER STEERING IS RESTORED BUT SOMETIMES ONLY FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME AND THEN IT GOES OUT AGAIN. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES IN ONE DAY. I HAVE READ THAT VEHICLES, SAME MAKE AND MODEL, HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR THIS 'SAFETY' ISSUE BUT I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY NOTICES REGARDING GETTING THIS ISSUE FIXED.
2010 CHEVY MALIBU HAS HAD CONSTANT ISSUES WITH LOW BEAM LIGHT BULBS EITHER BURNING OUT, HARNESS WIRE ISSUES, OR BULBS WORKING INTERMITTENT, I HAVE PAID TO HAVE BULBS REPLACED, HARNESSES REPLACED, AND EACH TIME THE FIX WILL WORK FOR A FEW WEEKS OR MONTHS. THE LAST TIME THE HARNESSES WERE REPLACE WAS PROBABLY A YEAR OR TWO AGO, BUT I AM HAVING THE ISSUES AGAIN. DRIVING WITH A HEADLIGHT OUT IS ILLEGAL AND GM IS WELL AWARE OF ALL OF THESE ISSUES AND NEEDS TO ISSUE A RECALL TO FOUND THE ROOT CAUSE OF ALL OF THESE ELECTRIC ISSUES AND FIX THE ISSUE PROPERLY. PRIOR THIS CAR HAD ISSUES WITH THE BRAKE LIGHTS NOT WORKING PROPERLY AND THAT ISSUE GOT RESOLVED BY A RECALL. GM NEEDS TO DO A FULL INSPECTION ON THE WIRING AND SEE WHAT IS CAUSING THE SHORTS, THE FUSES TO BLOW, AND WORST OF ALL THE DANGERS OF HAVING EXTERIOR LIGHTS NOT TO WORK PROPERLY. THIS IS A HUGE RISK AND COULD RESULT IN A DEADLY ACCIDENT IF NOT RESEARCHED AND RESOLVED PROPERLY
POWER STEERING KEEPS GOING IN AND OUT. CANT DRIVE CAR VERY FAR AT ALL. WHILE DRIVING.
MY STEERING GOES OUT WHILE DRIVING ALMOST CAUSED A ACCIDENT ON A HIGHAY
I HAVE A 2010 CHEVY MALIBU AND THE PASSENGER HEADLIGHT KEEPS GOING OUT. NOT BURNING OUT, BUT QUITS WORKING! I HAVE GONE TO CHANGE THE BULB AND WE REALIZED THAT IT WASN'T BURNT OUT. ALL THE OTHER LIGHTS ON THAT SIDE WORK FINE. WE WIGGLES SOME WIRES AND IT WOULD WORK AGAIN. A FEW TIMES WE COULD TAP ON THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY AND IT WOULD COME BACK ON. SO WE PUT IT TOGETHER AGAIN AND IT WORKED FINE FOR 2 WEEKS OR SO BEFORE IT WENT OUT AGAIN.
DASH LIGHTS: ESC OFF, SERVICE ESC LIGHT, BRAKE SYSTEM (!), ABS SYSTEM, POWER STEERING, LIGHTS FLASH AND ALL GAUGES FLUCTUATE. I HAVE REPLACED THE MAIN CONTROL MODULE, AS WELL AS POWER STEERING MODULE AT DEALERSHIP, AND THE PROBLEM STILL CONTINUES!!!! HAVE READ ABOUT OTHER SAME MODELS DOING THIS SAME PROBLEM. IT WILL COME ON, AND THEN NEXT TIME I START MY VEHICLE, IT STOPS. THEN COMES BACK ON. SOMETIMES STAYS ON FOR WEEKS. OR IS GONE FOR WEEKS.THIS HAS HAPPENED EVEN WITH PROFESSIONAL REPAIRS. THIS HAPPENS WHEN STATIONARY AND IDLING AND WHILE DRIVING.
THE PASSENGER SIDE LOW BEAM LIGHT STOPS WORKING APPROXIMATELY EVERY 6-8 WEEKS. I HAVE OWNED THE CAR FOR 6 MONTHS AND HAVE REPLACED THE SAME BULB 4 TIMES. I KNOW I AM NOT ALONE AS THE INTERNET FORUMS ARE FILLED WITH OTHER MALIBU OWNERS REPORTING THE SAME ISSUE.
FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WON'T OPEN. THE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN USING EITHER THE INTERIOR OR EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES. THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE AND I CAN USUALLY GET IT WORKING BY OPENING THE DOOR WINDOW AND MANUALLY LOCKING AND UNLOCKING THE DOOR WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY PULLING AND RELEASING THE EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE. SOMEHOW THIS REESTABLISHES THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION AND IT WILL OPEN. IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHEVROLET MALIBU. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE STEERING WHEEL CEASED AND VIBRATED, WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THERE WAS A SPECIAL COVERAGE FOR THE FAILURE AND TOLD THE CONTACT TO CALL THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE. KENNY ROSS CHEVROLET BUICK GMC DEALER, LOCATED AT 11250 RTE 30, IRWIN, PA 15642, WHERE A DIAGNOSTIC TEST WAS PERFORMED. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING COLUMN AND THE STEERING MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT IN ADDITION TO THE FAILURES STATED BY THE DEALER, THE TORQUE SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXCEEDED 150,000 MILES THRESHOLD AND WAS NO LONGER COVERED UNDER THE SPECIAL COVERAGE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 179,028.
ON THE DASH POWER STEERING WARNING COMES ON ALONG WITH SERVICE ESC THEN ESC IS OFF. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING WHILE DRIVING. THE POWER STEERING WILL CUT OFF.. ALSO OF I'M IDLE THE STEERING WHEEL WILL START JERKING BY ITS SELF
OVER A PERIOD OF ABOUT A MONTH, 2010 CHEVY MALIBU BEGAN LOSING POWER STEERING. I WOULD TURN OFF CAR TO RESTART ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, IT WORKED FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS. THEN POWER STEERING WENT OUT COMPLETELY. REPAIR SHOP INFORMED ME OF EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR THE CAR BUT UNFORTUNATELY IT EXPIRED 3 DAYS AFTER MY PROBLEM OCCURRED. LOSS OF POWER STEERING HAPPENS WHEN IN MOTION, WHEN STARTING CAR AND WHEN PARKED. SHAKING WHEEL.
I STARTED MY CAR, MY TRACTION LIGHT CAME ON, AND MY SERVICE POWER STEERING LIKE CAME ON AS WELL AND I COULDN'T MOVE MY STEERING WHEEL. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND BACK AND AND IT DIDN'T HAVE AGAIN. I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S WRONG AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT ACTIONS TO TAKE.
STEERING GOES OUT WHILE DRIVING, NOTICED A SLIGHT TWITCH IN THE STEERING WHEEL WHEN I STARTED IT UP TO LEAVE FOR WORK . IT WAS DOING THIS TWITCH WHILE IN PARK .. ON THE WAY HOME FROM WORK IT GOES OUT WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY
DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND ALL THE SUDDEN THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT.
THE PASSENGER SIDE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT HAS GONE OUT 3 TIMES IN THE PAST 2 YEARS. THE FUSE WAS NOT BLOWN ANY OF THE THREE TIMES.
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS COMES ON AND OFF. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE AT NIGHT THE DRIVER SIDE LIGHT WOULD NOT COME ON. THE NEXT MORNING IT CAME ON. A FEW DAYS LATER THE PASSENGER SIDE LIGHT WOULD NOT COME ON. NOW BOTH LIGHTS WON'T COME ON. I AM ONLY DRIVE DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS UNTIL THEY ARE REPLACED.
