TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, IT BEGAN TO HESITATE AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO FOUND THE FOLLOWING THREE CODES: P0089, P228D, AND P0016. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KELLER MOTORS (LOCATED AT 700 CADILLAC LN, HANFORD, CA 93230, (866) 882-6546), BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 109,133. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
STEREO/NAVIGATION INTERMITTENT ALWAYS DEFAULT TO ONE RADIO STATION AND SETTINGS, PASSENGER SEAT HAD A CRACKLING SOUND A FEW TIMES NO ODD SMELLS OR SMOKE, TURNS SIGNALS WON'T WORK WHEN STEREO IS INOPERATIVE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET MALIBU. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AT START-UP, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FEATURES FAILED TO FUNCTION CORRECTLY. RECENTLY, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FAILED TO ILLUMINATE AT START-UP. THE CONTACT INITIALLY TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE AN ATTEMPT WAS MADE TO REPAIR THE INSTRUMENT PANEL HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE CONTACT THEN TOOK THE VEHICLE TO OURISMAN CHEVROLET OF MARLOW HEIGHTS (4400 BRANCH AVE, MARLOW HEIGHTS, MD 20748) AND WAS INFORMED BY THE DEALER THAT THE FAILURE WAS COMMON FAILURE HER TYPE OF VEHICLE HOWEVER, THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER HAD YET TO BE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD YET TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
I WAS DRIVING AND STARTED HEARING A LOUD ALTER HE AND THEN THE CAR SEEMED TO HAVE SHUT OFF AND STARTED BACK UP THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON I PULLED OVER TURNED THE CAR OFF TO SEE IF THE ENGINE LIGHT WOULD GO BACK OFF IT DIDN'T NOW IT KEEPS MAKING THE SKREECHING SOUND AND STILL SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING AND ON A STOP
HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH THE BATTERY SINCE I GOT THE CAR BACK IN 2017. REPLACED THE BATTERY 3 TIMES WITH A YEAR THINKING IT WAS JUST A DEAD BATTERY. AFTER THE THIRD TIME IT HAPPENED TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THE BATTERY CABLES NEEDED TO BE CLEANED AND BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED PAID 400 DOLLARS FOR THAT . 6 MONTHS LATER SAME PROBLEM HAPPENS. I'M IN MY CAR BATTERY LIGHT COMES ON , BATTERY VOLTAGE STARTS TO GET LOW, CAR LOSSES ALL POWER AND I AM STRANDED. HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEAL SHIP BECAUSE I JUST HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM 6 MONTHS AGO . AFTER A WEEK IN THE SHOP I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE BELT AND THE REPAIRS WOULD BE 400 DOLLARS AGAIN. I WENT AHEAD AND AGREED TO HAVE THEM WORK ON THE CAR FOR A CALL A DAY LATER SAYING SOMETHING ELSE'S WAS WRONG AND REPAIRS WERE NOW 1550 DOLLAR. WENT AHEAD AND AGREED TO GET IT FIXED ASKED IS THIS GOING TO FIX MY PROBLEM I'M HAVING WITH THE BATTERY WAS TOLD YES. GOT MY CAR OUT THE SHOP AND HAD THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE BATTERY LIGHT AND CAR STALLING IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS OF HAVING THE CAR OUT OF THE SHOP. I SEARCHED RECALLS AND DID SEE ONE FOR THIS CAR ABOUT THE GCM CAUSES THE BATTERY LIGHT TO COME ON. WHERE I SEARCHED MY VIN NUMBER RECALL DID NOT SHOW UP FOR MY CAR. WHAT AM I TO DO NOW THE DESCRIPTION OF WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH MY CAR FITS THE DESCRIPTION OF A RECALL WITH THIS MAKE MODEL AND YEAR OF MY CAR.
WHEN MY 2013 CHEVY MALIBU IS IN MOTION AND SOMEONE IS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT (MANY BUT NOT ALL TIMES) ALL OF THE ELECTRONICS, INCLUDING THE ELECTRONIC SPEEDOMETER, AND ALL DASHBOARD GAUGES, IN THE CAR STOP WORKING AND NOTIFICATIONS ABOUT THE AIRBAG SYSTEM AND BRAKING SYSTEM APPEAR. THE MECHANICAL ASPECTS OF THE CAR STILL SEEM TO WORK FINE, BUT THE NOTIFICATIONS ABOUT THE AIRBAGS AND BRAKING MAKE ME CONCERNED THAT IT IS NOT SAFE. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR A YEAR. I HAVE TRIED TAKING MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP MULTIPLE TIMES AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THEY EITHER CANNOT REPLICATE IT OR THEY WILL "FIX" SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T END UP SOLVING THE PROBLEM. GIVEN THAT THIS PROBLEM STARTED RANDOMLY AND NOT WITH ANY INTERVENTION ON MY PART OF THE PART OF ANY MECHANIC, I AM CONTACTING NHTSA BECAUSE I AM CONCERNED THAT THIS PROBLEM IS RELATED TO THE AIRBAG SENSOR IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND THAT THIS MIGHT BE HAPPENING WITH OTHER PEOPLE AND COULD REPRESENT REAL DANGER IF THIS REALLY IS AFFECTING THE AIRBAG AND BRAKING SYSTEMS (EVEN WHEN THE PASSENGER SEAT IS NOT IN USE).
THE CAR SHUTS COMPLETELY OFF WHEN DRIVING. THE STEERING WHEEL STARTS TO LOCK IN DIFFERENT PLACES AS YOU TURN. ALL ELECTRONICS SHUT OFF AND SOMETIMES CANNOT BE RESTARTED FOR DAYS. YOU CAN BE SITTING IN PARK AND TURN THE STEERING WHEEL AND IT WILL STILL LOCK UP. NOT AT THE STOPPING POINT OF THE STEERING. EVEN IF YOU TRY. A LITTLE. I ALSO HAVE A VIDEO OF IT HAPPENING IT WILL NOT LET YOU TURN IT AT ALL. UNLOCK LOSING POWER STEERING MAKES IT HARDER TO TURN BUT STILL POSSIBLE. WITH THIS IT STOPS COMPLETELY LIKE THE CAR IS SHUT OFF. WHEN YOU SWITCH YOUR TURN SIGNAL ON AND THEN TURN ALL ELECTRONICS AND CAR SHUTS OFF UNTIL YOU TURN THE SIGNAL OFF OR LET GO OUT THE STEERING WHEEL. I HAVE ALMOST WRECKED 4 TIMES WITH KIDS IN THE CAR. I HAVE PERSONALLY READ OTHER PEOPLE. NOT JUST A FEW BUT AT LEAST 200 OTHER PEOPLE WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM. CURRENTLY LOOKING INTO LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THIS BEFORE SOMEONE DIES IN A WRECK BECAUSE NOBODY WANTS TO ISSUE A RECALL. *TR
WHEN DRIVING MY MALIBU IT SEEMS TO HAVE A SHORT CIRCUIT WHEN I TURN THE WHEEL EVEN THE SLIGHTEST. I HAVE CHANGED THE BATTERIES CHECKED ALL THE WIRES AND EVERYTHING SEEMS FINE. I HAVE FIGURED OUT EVEN WHEN I'M DRIVING 70MPH ON THE HIGHWAY WITH MY FAMILY IN THE CAR THE POWER STEERING WILL GO OUT AND MAKE IT HARD FOR ME TO EVEN TURN. I HAVE READ ONLINE THAT THIS IS HAPPENING TO MALIBU'S EVERYWHERE AND THAT GM IS NOT WILLING TO MAKE IT A NATIONAL RECALL BECAUSE IT MUST BE HAPPENING WHILE THEY SEE THE CAR. SO I GUESS I HAVE TO WAIT FOR ME TO CRASH? TO SEE THAT THE POWER STEERING GAVE OUT ON ME ALONG WITH THE REST OF THE ELECTRICAL WORK ON THE INSIDE OF THE CAR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET MALIBU. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK AND THE KEY WAS PULLED OUT, THE VEHICLE ROLLED AWAY AND CRASHED INTO A WALL. THERE WAS NO INJURY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CASE NUMBER WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED BUT WAS DRIVABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FOUR DIFFERENT DEALERS, INCLUDING THE VICTORY CHEVROLET DEALER (866-900-6224, LOCATED AT 717 RHYNE RD, CHARLOTTE, NC 28214) WHERE THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. . THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO TAKEN TO AND INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE NHTSA. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 125,000.
WHILE PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE IN OUR 2013 CHEVY MALIBU WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE, WHEN ABOUT 1/2 WAY INTO THE SPACE I EXPERIENCED AN UNINTENDED ACCELERATION BY THE VEHICLE. THIS CAUSED ME TO CRASH INTO A BOLLARD IN FRONT OF THE CONVENIENCE STORE CAUSING SEVERE DAMAGE TO THE FRONT END OF THE CAR. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, CAUSING ME TO HIT MY HEAD ON THE STEERING WHEEL. *DT ADD CPSC *JS
I JUST BOUGHT THE CAR ON MARCH 16, 2019, AFTER SEVERAL DAYS, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, DEALERSHIP CLEANED THE INJECTORS AND 2 DAYS LATER, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AGAIN...NOW THEY SAY IT NEEDS NEW INJECTORS, BUT THE CAR ONLY HAS 79,000 MILES ON IT...
WHEN DRIVING OR PARKED THE WHOLE DASH BOARD WILL CUT OUT COMPLETELY RESULTING IN LOSS OF SPEEDOMETER, GAS GAUGE, TEMP GAUGE AND TACH. SOMETIMES IT WILL COME BACK ON SOMETIMES IT DOES NOT FOR DAYS, HAVE TO KEEP A SPEEDOMETER APP ON MY PHONE WHILE DRIVING NOW. GM SEEMS TO BE IGNORING THIS ISSUE AS THEY DO MOST ELECTRICAL ISSUES, I TRADED IN A 2000 IMPALA WITH ELECTRICAL ISSUES JUST TO GET ANOTHER GM CAR WITH ELECTRICAL ISSUES AT A HIGHER PRICE. I HAVE CALLED MULTIPLE DEALERSHIPS AND NON OF THEM SEEMS TO HAVE AN IDEA OF WHAT IT COULD BE WHICH TELLS ME GM IS NOT EVEN TRYING TO FIND A ROOT CAUSE FOR THE ISSUE, THEY ARE MORE THAN WILLING TO LET ME BRING IT IN AND HAVE THE WHOLE SYSTEM LOOKED OVER AT MY COST THOUGH. I DROVE FOUR HOURS TO BUY THIS CAR GET THERE ITS POUR RAIN DO TEST DRIVE AROUND BLOCK BUY CAR GET READY AND LEAVE AND STOP AT GAS STATION CAUSE ITS OUT OF GAS WELL PASSENGER REAR TIRE HAD 5 LBS OF AIR IN IT FILL IT UP GET ON HIGHWAY AND CAR STARTS SHAKING LIKE CRAZY AND IS ALL OVER THE ROAD CAR LOT IS CLOSE AND SO IS RENTAL PLACE SO I DRIVE HOME AND HAVE TEXTED OWNER TO TELL HIM TO GET TOW TRUCK AT MY HOUSE IN MORNING TO PICK IT UP I DIDN'T WANT IT AND HE DID REASON IM WRITING THIS IS I TOLD HIM HOW BAD THIS CAR WAS AND I LOOKED ON THERE SITE AND ITS BACK UP FOR LESS THAN I BOUGHT IT FOR THAT CAR IS WAY TO DANGEROUS TO BE ON THE ROAD
NOTICED MUSTY SMELL IN CAR. OPENED TRUNK TO FIND INTERIOR WET. LIFTED FLOOR OF TRUNK OUT AND FOUND SPARE WHEEL WELL OVERFLOWING WITH WATER. THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE. DISCOVERY MADE WHILE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY. PHOTOS TAKEN AFTER SHOPVACUUMING OUT AS MUCH WATER AS POSSIBLE AND LETTING TRUNK AIR DRY. WATER DAMAGE VISIBLE ON POROUS SURFACES. UNSURE IF WATER DUE TO FAULTY TRUNK DOOR SEAL (WATER DRIPS FROM SEAL WHEN TRUNK DOOR IS OPENED) OR IF WATER IS COMING IN ELSEWHERE.
THE ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WILL RANDOMLY SHUT DOWN CAUSING LOSS OF POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, ENTIRE DASHBOARD, ALL LIGHTS, HAZARD LIGHTS ETC. THIS CAN HAPPEN AT ANY TIME, ON THE FREEWAY, STOPPED AT A LIGHT, PARKED ETC. SOMETIMES IT GOES DARK AND RESTARTS ITSELF WHILE DRIVING....SOMETIMES IT GOES DARK AND WON'T RESTART FOR MINUTES OR LONGER WHILE IN TRAFFIC WITHOUT WORKING HAZARD LIGHTS. IF PARKED, IT CAN'T BE TAKEN OUT OF 'PARK" TO PUSH IT OUT OF TRAFFIC OR TRY TO START IT IN "NEUTRAL" AND THE KEY CAN'T BE REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION.THERE ARE NO ERROR CODES TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE AND IT WON'T EVER HAPPEN WHILE IT IS IN THE SHOP (OF COURSE) THIS IS THE ULTIMATE SAFETY HAZARD TO ME AND MY FAMILY.
WHEN STOPPED AT LIGHT, CAR SHUT DOWN, WOULD NOT RESTART. (HAD STALL ONE OTHER TIME IN PARKING GARAGE BUT VEHICLE RESTARTED). NO ELECTRICAL, NO FLASHERS. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP. REPLACED BATTERY AND GENERATOR CONTROL MODULE DUE TO MALFUNCTION. ASKED ABOUT 2013 RECALL. WAS TOLD IT DIDN'T APPLY.
I RECEIVED A MESSAGE ON MY INTERIOR SCREEN THAT AIR SHUT OFF DUE TO ENGINE OVERHEATING YESTERDAY. THREE WEEKS AGO, MY SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I HAD AUTOZONE RUN A DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND IT SAID TO REPLACE RADIATOR. THIS CAR IS A 2013 CHEVY MALIBU AND I KEEP IT IN GOOD CONDITION. IT HAS 75,701 MILES. THESE WARNING MESSAGES OCCUR WHEN THE CAR IS MOVING ON THE HIGHWAY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE RADIO SCREEN SUDDENLY SHUT OFF AND THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING FAILED. AS A RESULT, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN IN EITHER DIRECTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO INDICATED THAT THE BATTERY WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURES CONTINUED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 92,000.
3/19/19 I WENT IN FOR AN OIL/FILTER CHANGE AND A "PREMIER ENGINE OIL SERVICE" (WHICH WAS EXPLAINED AS A ENGINE FLUSH TO MY WIFE). SATURDAY MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ACTIVATES AND I PUT A CODE READER ON AND A P0010 (INTAKE CAMSHAFT POSITION ACTUATOR SOLENOID CONTROL CIRCUIT). AFTER RESEARCHING I SAW THIS HAS BEEN A RECURRING PROBLEM ON OTHER MALIBU MODELS BUT DID NOT SEE ANYTHING FOR MY VIN, SHOULD I HANDLE HIS ON MY OWN OR REFER BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP TO DETERMINE IF THIS IS THEIR ERROR?

THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRONIC CLIMATE CONTROL MODULE DEFROST WAS THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT CALLED KARL CHEVROLET OF STUART (LOCATED AT 324 SW 8TH ST, STUART, IA 50250, (515) 523-1201) AND SCHEDULED A DIAGNOSTIC APPOINTMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,800.
IN THE LAST 2 YEARS I HAVE LOST MY BREAKS DUE TO THE BREAK BOOSTER GOING OUT IN MY CAR NOW AGAIN LAST NIGHT I LOST MY BREAKS AGAIN DUE TO THIS ISSUES I IS A VERY BIG ISSUES I COULD HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN A ACCIDENT OR KILLED SOMEONE I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY THIS KEEPS HAPPENING BECAUSE TO ME THIS IS A BIG SAFETY ISSUE. THE OIL VACUUM PUMP BURST OPEN CAUSING A MAJOR OIL LEAK. NO PRIOR OIL LEAKS OR DAMAGES TO VEHICLE.
ECO HYBRID GCM NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. IT'S A RECALL FOR IT BUT THEY SAID IT DOESN'T COVER THIS ONE.BUT IT HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. *TR
DOOR LOCKS ENGAGING AND DISENGAGING RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING, HEADLIGHTS TURNING OFF AND ON RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING, CAR STARTING WHILE PARKED IN GARAGE (NO REMOTE START). DEALERSHIP REPLACED BCM, COULD NOT GUARANTEE THIS FIXED THE PROBLEM. INDICATED THEY HAD NEVER SEEN THE ISSUE BEFORE. WITHIN 2 WEEKS, ALL ISSUES REPEATED THEMSELVES. RETURNED TO DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP KEPT THE CAR FOR 2 WEEKS AND THEN CALLED ME AND LEFT A MESSAGE TO PICK IT UP AS THEY COULD NOT FIND THE ISSUE. WHEN I CALLED BACK, THE DEALERSHIP SAID "IT WAS A GOOD THING YOU HAVEN'T PICKED UP THE VEHICLE YET, IT STARTED ON ITS OWN 3 TIMES THIS MORNING". IF I HAD PICKED THIS VEHICLE UP, THE ISSUE WOULD HAVE HAPPENED AGAIN WHILE I WAS AT HOME. CASE HAS BEEN FILED WITH CHEVROLET CUSTOMER CAR, AND SUFS (GM GLOBAL SAFETY). NO ACTION HAS BEEN TAKEN. NO ENGINEERS HAVE BEEN SENT DOWN TO LOOK AT THE CAR FROM GM HEADQUARTERS. AFTER THE CAR STARTED ON ITS OWN AT THE DEALERSHIP, THEY CHANGED OUT THE IGNITION SWITCH, BUT AGAIN, CANNOT GUARANTEE THE ISSUES WON'T REOCCUR. CAR WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR A THIRD TIME ON MAY 2ND AFTER THE HEADLIGHTS TURNED ON AND OFF 3 TIMES ON THE WAY TO WORK ON MAY 1ST. AFTER HAVING THE VEHICLE UNTIL MAY 10TH, I WAS INFORMED THAT THE DEALERSHIP COULD NOT FIND AN ISSUE, AND I SHOULD PICK THE CAR UP AS THEY COULD NOT DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM IF THEY DO NOT SEE IT. THE RESPONSE FROM GM HAS BEEN A JOKE. THE CAR IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. I CANNOT DRIVE IT AT NIGHT, AND CANNOT PART IT IN MY GARAGE, AS IT COULD START AND CAUSE MY ENTIRE FAMILY TO DIE FROM CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING, OR COULD OVERHEAT FROM RUNNING IN PARK WHILE WE ARE SLEEPING AND START A FIRE. I CANNOT IN GOOD CONSCIENCE SELL THE CAR EITHER. SO, I AM STUCK WITH AN UNSAFE VEHICLE THAT GENERAL MOTORS WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR. MY CONCERN IS THAT THERE MAY BE OTHER VEHICLES ON THE ROAD WITH THE SAME ISSUE.
ON 2016 I HAD A COLLISION CLAIM NUMBER 3005632019 -1-7. I DIDN'T HAVE DEDUCTIBLES AND THEREFORE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FIXED IMMEDIATELY BUT THE INSURANCE HAD PAID PART OF THEIR PORTION. ON APRIL 8TH I WAS INVOLVED ON ACCIDENT AND HAD INJURIES WHICH I WAS DISCHARGED FROM TREATMENT NOT LONG. THEREFORE THE VEHICLE STILL HAD THE BENT. ON MARCH 12TH 2019 THE VEHICLE WAS HIT AGAIN ON THE REAR ALONG THE TIRE. NOW I HAD THE VEHICLE FIXED BOTH DAMAGES AT MAACO AT TACOMA. THIS WAS DONE THROUGH THE INSURANCE. WHEN I TOOK THE VEHICLE AT MAACO THERE WAS NO AIRBAG LIGHT. THEY WERE REPLACING THE PASSENGER DOOR AND FIXING THE BENT FOR BOTH COLLISION. WHEN I PICKED UP THE VEHICLE I NOTICED THE AIR BAG LIGHT AND I INFORMED THE MAACO REPRESENTATIVE. HE TOLD ME IT WILL GO AWAY BY ITS OWN. IT DIDN'T GO AWAY AND WE AGREED WITH THEM TO TAKE IT BACK. WHEN I FOLLOWED UP WITH THEM THEY SAID THAT THEY CAN'T FIX THE PROBLEM BUT HAD CONTACTED THE INSURANCE. DAYS PASSED WITHOUT GETTING AN UPDATED. LASTLY I AM TOLD TO DRIVE THE CAR BACK WITH ME AND THAT I HAVE TO PROVE TO THE INSURANCE THAT THE LIGHT IS CAUSED BY THE OLD ACCIDENT. I FEEL IT IS NOT SAFE FOR ME TO DRIVE IT WITH THE LIGHT ON AS IT IS NOT SAFE FOR ANYONE. I DON'T HAVE TRANSPORTATION AND I AM PAYING THE INSURANCE AND THE LOAN.

BUT AFTER A COUPLE MIN IT WENT AWAY SO I BACKED OUT OF MY GARAGE AND STARTED TO WORK WENT ABOUT TWO MILES NOTICED THAT THE FAN FOR THE HEATER WAS NOT WORKING THE THE POWER STEARING SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON KEPT DRIVING THE THE SERVICE BATTERY SYSTEM LIGHT CAME ON AFTER ABOUT 12 MILES THE DASH LIGHTS WENT OUT THE I COULD SMELL SOMETHING GETTING WARM THEN THE CAR ENGIN STOPED COSTED IN TO THE PARKING LOT GOT OUT THERE WAS NOTHING PUT THE CHARGERE ON THE BATTERTY IT STARTED BUT NOT SURE IF TO DRIVE IT HOME AFTER CHARGING OR NOT. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT REAR ENDED A BUS. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED BRUISING AND SORENESS TO THE ARMS, NECK, WRIST, SHOULDER, AND BACK THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. AFTERWARDS, A MESSAGE DISPLAYED INDICATING THAT THE VEHICLE WAS LOSING POWER AND IT WOULD NOT HOLD A CHARGE WHEN IT WAS JUMPSTARTED. AS SOON AS THE JUMPER CABLES WERE REMOVED, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AND WAS LATER TAKEN TO CHEVROLET OF HOMEWOOD (18033 HALSTED ST, HOMEWOOD, IL 60430, (708) 251-4692). THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT DIAGNOSE THE VEHICLE UNTIL THE BODY DAMAGE WAS REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. AND THEN ONCE YOU TRY TO TURN THE KEY IN THERE IS NO POWER AT ALL. NO LIGHTS. NO CLICKS. NO RADIO. NO NOTHING. COMPLETELY DEAD CAR. BUT THEN IF YOU UNPLUG THE BATTERY FOR 10 MINS AND PLUG IT BACK IN... THEN THE KEY WILL COME OUT AND/OR WILL TURN ON AND THE CAR IS WORKING FINE AGAIN FOR MAYBE A TRIP OR TWO AND THEN IT DOES THIS AGAIN. EVERY SINGLE DAY! NO CODES SHOW ON THE DASH NO LIGHTS OF ANYTHING WRONG AT ALL. HAS BEEN DOING THIS FOR ALMOST A MONTH NOW. I HAVE ALMOST HIT MULTIPLE PEOPLE BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE!!! HELP!!! SOMETIMES THE DASH IS BLANK EVEN RIGHT AT THE START UP OF MY CAR, OTHER TIMES IT GOES OUT AS I AM DRIVING, IT ALSO DOESNT MATTER THE SPEED.
ORIGINALLY TAKEN IN FOR WATER PUMP REPLACEMENT. NOW STALLS AND DIES RANDOMLY AND GIVES CODES FOR VARIOUS WRONGS, MOST OFTEN FOR WATER IN FUEL LINE. THERE IS NO WATER IN THERE. THE WATER PUMP WENT OUT WHILE I WAS PARKED, WHEN I TRIED TO LEAVE, THAT'S WHEN IT DIED.
