TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET MALIBU. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE LUNGED WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS APPLIED AND THERE WAS A CONSTANT LOSS OF POWER. THE CONTACT HAD TO CONSTANTLY PULL THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO COYLE CHEVROLET BUICK GMC (1801 BROADWAY ST, , IN 47129, (812) 218-1100) AND SERVICED UNDER THE WARRANTY. AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED, THE DEALER DIAGNOSED AND REPLACED THE SONLY , SONLY BOLT, SONLY GENERATOR, AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR, FLUSHED THE COOLANT, REPLACED COMPRESSOR KIT(2), AND PERFORMED ADDITIONAL REPAIRS. HOWEVER, THE FAILURES STILL OCCURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. .*BP CONSUMER STATED TRANSMISSION WAS NOT THE PROBLEM. CAM-ACTUATORS HAVE DUST WHICH CAUSES A CAR TO FLUTTER OR DIE. CONSUMER TOLD THE MECHANIC THAT WAS NOT THE PROBLEM THERE ARE OF COMPLAINTS WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM. AS OF 5/15/19 CAR IS STILL IN THE SHOP.*JP
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THE STEERING WHEEL WANTS TO STICK TO THE LEFT, THEN WILL BREAK FREE. I TOOK IT IN TO GET IT CHECKED OUT THOUGHT IT MIGHT NEED AN ALIGNMENT OR SOMETHING BUT THE SHOP SAID EVERYTHING WAS GOOD, ALIGNMENT AND TIRES WERE FINE, AND THEY HAD NO REASON AS TO WHY IT WOULD BE DOING THAT.
CAR SHUTS OFF AND RESTARTS ON ITS OWN EVEN WHILE DRIVING......BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THIS SINCE PURCHASED BUT ALWAYS TOLD ITS THE BATTERY.....I HAVE WENT THROUGH ABOUT 3 BATTERS SINCE PURCHASING IN 2015....THE OTHER NIGHT IT STARTED SHUTTING DOWN LITTLE BY LITTLE, POWER STEERING WENT, ENDED UP WITH NO INSIDE LIGHTS, TAIL LIGHTS OR HEADLIGHTS WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY......ALMOST CAUSED A COLLISION.....THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS YET AS MANY COMPLAINTS AS I HAVE READ ABOUT THIS IDENTICAL PROBLEM, STILL TOLD NO RECALL ON MY VEHICLE AND DEALERSHIP IS MY RESPONSIBILITY.....THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THE CAR HAS HAD TO BE TOWED FOR NOT STAYING CRANKED AFTER THESE EPISODES.

THE CONTACT CONTACTED BACHMAN CHEVROLET (9650 BLUEGRASS PARKWAY, LOUISVILLE, KY 40299, (502) 632-0211) WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE PART WAS NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SEAT BELT ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE FAILED TO LATCH AND UNLATCH CORRECTLY. THE SEAT BELT REMAINED LOCKED IN THE LATCH POSITION AND REQUIRED SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO UNLATCH. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
CAR WILL POWER DOWN WHILE DRIVING AND IT WILL STALL AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS. HAVE TAKEN IT IN SEVERAL TIMES FOR THIS AND DIAGNOSED IT BUT NO CODES DISPLAY. HAVE PAID 1000'S OF DOLLARS FOR THE THINGS THEY SAY IT IS AND STILL NOT FIXED
TAKARA RECALL I HAD MY CAR IN MULTIPLE TIMES IN A DEALERSHIP BERGSTROM LIKE FIVE TIMES AND EVERY TIME THEY WORK ON IT THERE'S SOMETHING ELSE WRONG . THE CAR HAS ELECTRICAL ISSUES THE RADIO TURNS ON AND OFF BY ITSELF . THE TEMPERATURE THING BECAME ON FOR HIGH TEMPS WHEN THE AC IS OFF.I HAD REPLACED MULTIPLE SENSORS REPLACED LIKE THE CRANKSHAFT SENSOR. MY CAR SHUT OFF ON ME THROUGH THE DRIVE-THROUGH . IT HAS A ROUGH TIME IS STARTING SOMETIMES AND STALLS . NOW IT'S SAYING SOMETHING ABOUT AN OIL PRESSURE SENSOR O2 SENSOR. COUPLE TIMES I HEARD THE CAR BACKFIRE SO I GOT A NEW CADILLAC CONVERTER. I'VE EVEN HAVE SMELLED SOME SMELLS LIKE BURNING. I HEAR A CLUNKING NOISE IN THE FRONT WHEN I GO OVER A LITTLE BUMPS OR WHEN I TURN REALLY SHARP NOT GOING FAST. BEEN HAVING MULTIPLE ISSUES WITH THIS CAR AND WOULD LIKE SOME HELP FIGURING OUT WHAT'S GOING ON WITH T AND WOULD LIKE SOME HELP FIGURING OUT WHAT'S GOING ON WITH IT! THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
I HAVE A 2013 CHEVROLET MALIBU ECO AND WHEN I STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT THE CAR JUST SHUT DOWN. THOUGHT IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN BAD GAS AT FIRST BECAUSE THE CAR STARTED RIGHT UP. WELL NOT EVEN 15 MINUTES LATER IT DID IT AGAIN. THE CAR STARTED RIGHT BACK UP LIKE IT DID BEFORE AND DIDNT HAVE NO MORE ISSUES OUT OF IT. THE NEXT DAY HAD TO DO SOME RUNNING AROUND THE CAR DID FINE UNTIL THE WAY HOME. THE CAR CUT OFF ON ME THREE DIFFERENT TIMES.ONLY DOES IT WHEN I COME TO A STOP NO MATTER WHERE I'M AT. SOMEDAYS THE CAR DOES BETTER THEN OTHERS JUST HOPE IT DON'T CUT OFF ON ME WHEN I'M DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD.
WHILE DRIVING MY 2013 CHEVY MALIBU ON THE HIGHWAY & TURNPIKE, I WAS DRIVING APPROX 60-70 MILES AND HOUR AND THEN OUT OF NOWHERE THE VEHICLE DECREASED SPEED DOWN TO 30 MPH AND ALSO HAD ME CAUSE AN ACCIDENT WITH THE DRIVERS BEHIND ME. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT THEN CAME ON AND A MESSAGE "ENGINE POWER HAS BEEN REDUCED". I WAS ABLE TO PULL THE CAR OVER; HOWEVER, THIS IS A DANGER AND SHOULD BE RESOLVED AS STILL THIS CONTINUES TO OCCUR SINCE I HAVE CONTACTED GENERAL MOTORS AND ADVISED OF THE SAFETY ISSUE. STILL HAVE NOT SEEN A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE YET WHICH I WAS SHOCKED. I ASKED THE GENTLEMAN IF THERE HAVE BEEN OTHER COMPLAINTS AND HE STATED YES. SO I AM VERY SHOCKED THAT THIS ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED. MY VEHICLE NOW IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND STILL MECHANICS DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS WRONG AND CAN NOT FIX THIS ISSUE. I DO NOT FEEL THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR PARTS THAT THIS VEHICLE DOES NOT WHILE THEY TRY TO PINPOINT THE PROBLEM. LITERALLY THE MECHANIC AT DAY CHEVROLET DURING THE DIAGNOSTIC JUST SAID TO LETS START SOMEWHERE AND SEE IF THAT RESOLVES THE ISSUE. I DON'T BELIEVE I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR PARTS THAT MAY OR MAY NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE. SINCE THEN I NOW HAVE MORE LIGHTS POPPING UP REGARDING TRACTION STABILITY, PARKING BREAK (WHICH WAS REPLACED AND DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE) TRACK CONTROL, ETC HAVE COME UP AND SEEMS TO HAVE DISABLED MY ANTI-LOCK BRAKES. COULD SOMEONE PLEAS CONTACT ME IF THERE IS A SOLUTION FOR THIS IF SOMEONE IS AWARE OF WHAT PART OR PARTS WILL FIX THIS DEFECT.

ON SOME OCCASIONS, THE VEHICLE WOULD RESTART ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT. ON OTHER OCCASIONS, IT TOOK SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PALM CHEVROLET (LOCATED AT 2300 SW COLLEGE RD, OCALA, FL 34471, (352) 484-0733) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO RETRIEVE A FAULT CODE OR DUPLICATE THE FAILURES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 9-4928351338. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 133,000.
CAR BEGAN MAKING A NOISE IN THE REAR AT SPEEDS ABOVE 30 MPH. DEALER DIAGNOSED AS WORN OUT REAR WHEEL HUBS. HAD TO BE REPLACED AT ONLY 61,000 MILES. THIS SEEMS TO BE PREMATURE AND COULD HAVE BEEN DANGEROUS. VEHICLE HAS BEEN MAINTAINED REGULARLY AND DRIVEN UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS.
MULTIPLE TIMES WHILE SINCE I'VE HAD IT IT HAS REDUCED ENGINE POWER ( STABILTRAK) ON ME WHILE DRIVING. JUST RECENTLY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WITH CODES READING FOR CAMSHAFT ACTUATORS FAILING AND PCM FAILING. THE CAR CHUGS WILL DRIVING AND HAS EVEN DIED WHILE OPERATING.
HVAC SYSTEM MALFUNCTION. CLIMATE CONTROL DOES NOT SWITCH TO DEFROST AND WINDSHIELD WILL NOT CLEAR IN WINTER WEATHER. WHILE DRIVING ON A FREEWAY IN A SNOW STORM, I COULD NOT SEE THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD AND HAD TO PULL OVER. I WAS ABLE TO DEFLECT THE WARM AIR FROM THE FRONT VENTS TO THE WINDSHIELD WITH A HAT TO CLEAR THE FROST.
The knob that slides and opens the hidden compartment behind the radio has melted and gets black goo all over everything. It's definitely a widespread problem that many people have experienced and should be recalled. I can't find just a replacement knob without replacing the entire thing.
THE CAR INFOTAINMENT SCREEN AND POWER STEERING SUDDENLY AND MOMENTARILY SHUT DOWN.I BOUGHT THE CAR 3 WEEKS A GO. IN THE PAST THREE WEEKS THE ISSUE HAPPENED ABOUT A DOZEN TIMES. WHEN IT HAPPENS THE STEERING WHEEL BECOMES VERY HARD TO TURN. ALSO THE STEERING WHEEL CUTS THE POWER OFF TO THE INFOTAINMENT SCREEN AND THE BLOWER FAN, IF IT IS JERKED LEFT AND RIGHT QUICKLY WHEN THE CAR IS PARKED. AFTER TURTTHE CAR OFF AND BACK ON THE PROBLEM GOES AWAY.
FRONT DEFROSTER STOPPED WORKING NO MATTER WHAT BUTTON IS SWITCHED IT WILL NOT SWITCH TO DEFROST. SEEMS IT IS THE SAME REACURRING PROBLEM ON 2013 MODELS AS THE 2014 MODELS SO WHY ARE THE 2013 MODELS NOT INCLUDED???

THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO CHARGE THE BATTERY HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT FULLY CHARGE. THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE BATTERY CHARGING SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT THEN DROVE THE VEHICLE TO TROPICAL CHEVROLET (8880 BISCAYNE BLVD, MIAMI SHORES, FL 33138) WHO STATED THE FAILURE WAS AN ENGINE FAILURE AND NOT A FAILURE TO THE BATTERY CHARGING SYSTEM. THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 103,000.
WATER PUMP PROBLEMS CAUSING CAR TO OVERHEAT AND LEAK CONSTANTLY.
AROUND THE END OF OCT, HAD LUNCH AT A RESTAURANT AND AS I WAS LEAVING THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND MY CAR STALLED AND JERKED A LITTLE. I MANAGED TO GET IT GOING BUT SINCE THEN IT'S BEEN DOING IT WHILE DRIVING ~ WE RAN IT THROUGH A DIAGNOSTIC AND WAS GIVEN A CODE "INTAKE (A) CAMSHAFT POSITION ACTUATOR CIRCUIT/OPEN OVER-ADVANCED....."

WHEN DRIVING MY CARS ELECTRIC SYSTEM WILL SHUT DOWN. RADIO GOES OFF THEN LIGHTS ON THE DASH GO CRAZY AND STEERING WHEEL JERKS REAL HARD AND LOSS OF STEERING FOR A FEW SECONDS THEN IT ALL COMES BACK ON.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLES ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, LIGHTS, RADIO DASH START TO INTERMITTENTLY GO OFF THEN COME BACK ON. WHILE THIS IS HAPPENING THE STEERING SUDDENLY FROZE UP WHILE MAKING A TURN INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THIS NEARLY CAUSED A HEAD ON COLLISION WITH ONCOMING CARS. THAT SAME NIGHT WHEN I PULLED UP IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE THE HEADLIGHTS AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER KEPT FLASHING ON AND OFF.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DETERMINED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXPERIENCING AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE AND RECOMMENDED TAKING IT TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,587.

THE VEHICLE WAS PUSHED TO THE ROAD SHOULDER AND THE BATTERY WAS CHARGED BY A PASSERBY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT PURCHASED A NEW BATTERY, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
I WAS SITTING AT A RED LIGHT, WITH MY FOOT FIRMLY ON THE BRAKE. SUDDENLY IT STARTED TO MOVE AND SUDDENLY TOOK OFF AND HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME (THE CAR HAD MOVED UP SIGNIFICANTLY, BUT I HADN'T, SO IT HAD A LOT OF MOMENTUM WHEN IT HIT)! AFTER THE ACCIDENT REPORT WAS FILED, I TRIED TO START THE CAR TO LEAVE, BUT THE CAR WOULDN'T START. ADDITIONALLY, A TON OF ERROR MESSAGES WERE FLASHING, AS WELL AS ALL INDOOR AND OUTDOOR LIGHTS FLASHING, EVEN THE DECORATIVE PANEL BLUE STRIP LIGHTS. I WAS TERRIFIED. I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED FROM THE SCENE. AT FIRST, THE OFFICER DIDN'T BELIEVE ME, THAT IT WAS THE CAR'S FAULT, NOT MINE, BUT ONCE SHE SAW WHAT WAS HAPPENING, SHE BELIEVED ME. THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER SAID THE CAR WAS POSSESSED, HE HAD NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE. THE CAR HAD ALMOST 53,000 MILES ON IT, ONE YEAR TO GO WITH PAYMENTS, AND I HAD BEEN PLANNING TO KEEP IT ONCE IT WAS PAID OFF, UNTIL THIS HAPPENED. IT COULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH WORSE. WHAT IF IT HIT PEDESTRIANS CROSSING THE STREET? I WAS AT A COMPLETE STANDSTILL. WHEN MY MECHANIC EVALUATED IT, A BUNCH OF ERROR CODES PRINTED OUT, ONE OF WHICH WAS U0121 MULTI-AXIS ACCELERATION SENSOR LOST COMMUNICATION WITH ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL MODULE. I'M PRETTY SURE THIS WAS WHAT CAUSED THE ACCIDENT, BUT BOTH GENERAL MOTORS AND MY CHEVROLET DEALER SAY THIS MEANS NOTHING. I SOLD THE CAR AND BOUGHT A MITSUBISHI MIRAGE. I WILL NEVER BUY A CHEVY AGAIN. ALL OVER THE UNITED STATES, ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS ARE HAPPENING TO OTHER CHEVY'S (MY MAKE, MODEL AND YEAR ALONE) - SO FAR ABOUT 167 THAT I'VE READ ABOUT, BUT NO ONE'S DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 73,408. *TR THE CONSUMER STATED EVENAFTER HAVING THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE DUE TO THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKING UP. *JS
"SERVICE POWER STEERING" WAS DISPLAYED ON MY SPEEDOMETER DISPLAY WHEN I STARTED MY CAR UP THIS MORNING; THE TEMPERATURE WAS COLD. THE WARNING WENT AWAY AFTER SITTING INT HE CAR FOR 2-3 MINUTES. MY STEERING IS A BIT SHAKY AT THIS POINT. I AM TAKING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP ASAP; I HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY.
WHEN DRIVING MY CAR MULITIPLE ELECTRICAL ISSUES OCCUR, I WILL TURN ON THE BLINKERS AND THE RADIO AND DASH LIGHTS WILL GO OUT AND BACK ON. AT TIMES THE CAR WILL COMPLETELY LOSE POWER AND I WILL HAVE TO TURN IT OFF AND THEN BACK ON. THE MOST DANGEROUS TIME I WAS TURNING LEFT ON VAN DYKE AVE IN WARREN MICHIGAN, A LARGE 6 LANE ROAD, WHEN I LOST ALL POWER INCLUDING POWER STEERING I WAS ABLE TO QUICKLY TURN THE KEY IGNITION OFF AND BACK ON AGAIN AND GET OFF THE ROAD BEFORE ONCOMING TRAFFIC ARRIVED. I TOOK MY CAR TO HAMILTON CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIND ANY PROBLEMS WITH IT. I PICKED UP MY CAR FROM THE DEALERSHIP, AFTER 2 WEEKS THERE, AND DROVE TO WORK THE NEXT MORNING AT 5AM AND PULLED INTO THE PARKING LOT AT WORK AS I PARKED THE CAR, THE CAR LOST ALL POWER EXCEPT THIS TIME I WAS UNABLE TO RESTART THE CAR AND HAD IT TOWED BACK TO HAMILTON CHEVROLET.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE THE CAR POWERS DOWN. THE RADIO TURNS OFF, LIGHTS ON DASH GOES OUT AND POWER STEERING LOCKS UP. IF DRIVEN OVER A SPEED BUMP OR POTHOLE ALL ELECTRICAL COMPONETS POWER DOWN. I WAS DRIVING AND PUT MY SIGNAL ON, THE VEHICLE SHUTDOWN AND STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UNTIL IT REBOOTED ITSSELF. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE ON STREET, HIGHWAY NOR SPEED. WHEN IT LOOSES POWER THERE IS NO WAY TO ALERT THE NEARBY DRIVERS WITH HAZARD LIGHTS AS EVERYTHING HAS BEEN SHUT OFF. ON GOING MATTER, HAS BEEN TO DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES AND DIFFERENT LOCATIONS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STABILITY ASSIST WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD CALL THE CONTACT BACK, BUT THEY HAD NOT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 118,899.
DRIVER HIT A STATIONARY OBJECT HEAD ON AT APPROXIMATELY 50MPH AND HEAD WENT THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD.
OVER THE LAST 3 WEEKS, WHEN THE VEHICLE HAS GONE INTO THE AUTO SHUT-OFF MODE, IT DOESN'T ALWAYS START BACK UP WHEN YOU PUSH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL.
CAR REPORTING ERROR CODE "P0304 - CYLINDER 4 MISFIRE". CAR HAS 88000 MILES ON IT, DEALER SAYS THERE'S INTERNAL ENGINE DAMAGE. THIS WAS VERIFIED BY SECOND AUTO REPAIR SHOP. WAS ALSO NOTIFIED THAT GM IS AWARE OF A PROBLEM WITH THIS 2.0L TURBO ENGINE ON SEVERAL OF THEIR AUTOMOBILE MODELS (PI1178B, PI1178D, PI1178E). CAR HAS BEEN PROPERLY MAINTAINED WITH ALL SCHEDULED SERVICE BEING PERFORMED.
WHILE VEHICLE IS IN DRIVE, THE CAR RADIO WILL TURN OFF, POWER STEERING IS AFFECTED (VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN WHEEL), LIGHTS ON DASHBOARD ALL COME ON AND IF BACKING UP THE REAR CAMERA WILL NOT WORK. REPAIR SHOP CANT FIGURE OUT, TESTED ELECTRICAL, BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR. SCARY LOTS OF OTHERS POSTING VERY SIMILAR PROBLEM NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED!!

BATTERY VOLTAGE INDICATOR CAME ON FIRST AND ENGINE LIGHT INDICATOR ON. REPLACED BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR. CAR STALLS WHEN GAS PEDAL NOT APPLIED. CAR TURNS COMPLETELY OFF WHEN BRAKING TO STOP SIGNS, RED LIGHTS, SLOWING DOWN TO TURN. IT'S COMPLETELY UNSAFE. IT HAS TURNED OFF ON ME CROSSING MAJOR HIGHWAYS. MECHANIC REPLACED FUEL PUMP DUE TO P0300 CODE ETC. CAR STILL STALLS AND TURNS OFF WHILE DRIVING, SLOWING DOWN TO STOP, TURNS OFF AT RED LIGHTS, STOP SIGNS AND WHEN BRAKING TO TURN. AT TIMES, I DO SMELL AS IF SOMETHING IS BURNING. THIS SMELL DOES NOT HAPPEN ALL THE TIME. I HAVE REPLACED THE BATTERY, THE ALTERNATOR, AND THE FUEL PUMP. THE CAR STILL STALLS AND CUTS OFF. I BOUGHT THE CAR IN AUGUST 2018, I HAVE HAD THESE PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR SINCE OCTOBER 2018.
THE ENTIRE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER WOULD TURN ON/OFF ON IT'S OWN AT RANDOM. AT FIRST THE ISSUE SEEMED TO HAPPEN THE MOST WHEN THE ENVIRONMENTAL TEMPERATURES WERE LOWER. THE ENTIRE INSTRUMENT PANEL HAS NOW COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING. NONE OF THE GAUGES OR LIGHTS ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WORK. DUE TO THIS ISSUE, I AM UNABLE TO KNOW MY SPEED, FUEL LEVEL, MILEAGE, TEMPERATURE, BATTERY, ETC. THIS CREATES A HAZARD WHEN DRIVING.
EASSIST RECALL FOR MALIBU ECO. MY VEHICLE HAS THE SAME PROBLEMS AS THE RECALL, BUT MY VIN NUMBER IS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST. THE VEHICLE MAKE AND MODEL MATCH. ALL OF MY MAINTENANCE IS UP TO DATE. I WOULD LIKE SOMEONE TO FROM THIS COMPANY TO LOOK INTO MY VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START, I HAVE BROUGHT 4 NEW BATTERIES IN THE LAST 2 YEARS. THE MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT IS ON. IT HAS BEEN ON FOR A YEAR NOW. THERE IS A BURNING SMELL WHEN I DRIVE IT SOMETIMES. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE DIAGNOSED SEVERAL TIMES BY A DEALERSHIP AND NOW BY AN OUTSIDE MECHANIC, WHO INFORMED ME ABOUT THE RECALL. I WAS TOLD IF THIS DOESN'T GET FIT SOON MY VEHICLE COULD CATCH FIRE. I WOULD LIKE HELP IN RESOLVING THIS SITUATION.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 70MPH AND THE CAR LOST POWER AND THE SERVICE STABILI TRACK AND REDUCE POWER MESSAGES CAME ON AND SLOWED DOWN TO 30MPH. THANK GOD I GOT TO PULL OVER SAFELY.MY SON AND I HAD TO BE TOWED HOME
ON 4/16/2018 AFTER BEING PARKED FOR 2 HOURS I WENT TO PUT MY 2013 CHEVROLET MALIBU IN REVERSE TO BACK OUT OF A PARKING SPACE I NOTICED PRESSURE FROM THE BRAKE THREAT WOULDN'T ALLOW ME TO FULLY PRESS DOWN. THERE WAS ALSO A LOUD HISSING NOISE COMING FROM THE PEDAL. I WAS BARELY ABLE TO STOP MY CAR. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE SHOP WHERE I WAS TOLD I NEEDED TO HAVE MY POWER BRAKE BOOSTER REPLACED. I WAS ADVISED THAT IS WAS ABNORMAL FOR A NEW CAR TO HAVE THAT PROBLEM. THE REPAIR WAS $529. NOW ON 9/24/2018 WHILE AT A RED LIGHT MY DASH WENT HAYWIRE AND ALL ALERTS WERE ILLUMINATED. THE DISPLAY READ 'SERVICE POWER STEERING' I WAS UNABLE TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK OR TURN OFF THE IGNITION BUT ALL LIGHTS WERE OFF. AFTER 5 MINUTES I WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR BACK ON AND IN GEAR. AFTER MAKING A LEFT TURN I NOTICED I WAS UNABLE TO STOP THE CAR. THE BRAKE WAS HARD TO PRESS AND THERE AGAIN WAS A LOUD HISSING NOISE. AFTER TAKING MY CAR ONCE AGAIN TO THE SHOP I WAS ADVISED I NEEDED ANOTHER POWER BRAKE BOOSTER. I WAS TOLD THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE PART BACK IN 2013 BUT IT WAS NEVER REPLACED IN MY CAR. THE DEALER HAS REFUSED TO REPLACE IT AT THIS TIME AND I AM HOPING FOR A RESOLUTION. THE CAR BECOMES INOPERABLE WITHOUT NOTICE AND IT IS JEOPARDIZING THE SAFETY OF MYSELF AND OTHERS.
VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS WHEN ALL POWER CUT OUT ON SEPT 5, 2018. POWER RESTORED WITHIN 10 SECONDS. TOOK TO DEALER ON SEPT. 6. NO PROBLEM FOUND. ON SEPT. 21 THE VEHICLE LOST POWER 3 SEPARATE TIMES ALL AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AGAIN.

ALSO, WHEN THE CONTACT SHIFTED INTO REVERSE OR WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS AT A STOP, THE KNOCKING SOUND WAS HEARD AND THE VEHICLE HESITATED TO ACCELERATE. THE CONTACT SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT WITH TOM GILL CHEVROLET (7830 COMMERCE DR, FLORENCE, KY 41042, (859) 371-7566). THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND SUGGESTED THE CONTACT CALL NHTSA AND SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH A DEALER. THE CONTACT RESEARCHED ONLINE AND STATED THAT THE POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE WITHIN THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE COULD BE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,267.
DRIVING TO DEALERSHIP TO HAVE OIL CHANGED,CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON,BATTERY ON AN BATTERY SAVER ACTIVATED,DEALER SAID BATTERY WAS GOOD ,,WHEN STARTING CAR ,PUT IN GEAR,STEERING WHEEL WON'T MOVE,TURN OFF ,START AGAIN,THEN MOVES,AN CAR DIES,AN RESTARTS BY ITSELF.WHILE DRIVING HESITATION IN ACCELERATING. I CALLED 1-800-521-7300,SPOKE TO NASH ,,I AM TOLD THERE IS NO RECALL ON THIS .VERY UPSETTING TO BUY A CAR AN HAVE THIS HAPPEN ,,FIRST AN LAST CHEVY I EVER BUY ,,,THOUGHT GM WOULD TAJE CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS !!!!
SATURDAY I WAS PARKING MY CAR AND THE CAR ALL OF A SUDDEN STOPPED. THE WHEEL LOCKED AND THEN THE CAR JUST SHUT OFF. I HAD NO PROBLEM RESTARTING IT. TODAY I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY AND MY VEHICLE DID THE SAME THING.
