I own a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu LS. August 19, 2022 when I cranked the car a message popped up on the screen saying service airbag. Looked up recalls but my specific car doesn’t have any thus far. Called the dealership for them to look at it and they said the same thing. The recall for the airbag was October 2015. This is the first time I’m dealing with an airbag issue and I’m not fully secure or feel safe knowing it could possibly pop out or not work at all and I have two sons that ride in the back seat. Vehicle caught fire in the engine compartment while parked and unoccupied.
Air bag warning service notification appeared. Contacted dealership and they stated no recall on my vehicle only trucks and SUV's.
I have a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu. I was driving in traffic and stopped. The auto stop engaged. When I put my foot on the gas peddle to continue on in traffic, the engine would not start. I had to set there for 5 minutes before the car would restart.
The transmission and engine fails repeatedly. The vehicle repeatedly stalls while accelerating at all speeds, simultaneously, the gear shift lights,dash lights, radio, etc restarts. Issue also happens when shifting gears. Issue happens at every stop light and stop sign, when the vehicle is engaged in ‘auto stop’. The vehicle has been in and out of the repair shop since 2022 for TCM/ECM failure. The vehicle has been inspected by Chevrolet twice and other repair shops. Problem persists and the vehicle is not safe to drive. The vehicle has to be jumped daily in order for it to work even after purchasing several batteries and alternators. Warranty company, SilverRock, denied claim. When shifting gears, the warning message states ‘power steering’ and all of the car lights disappear and the vehicle stalls. These issues appeared 31 days after purchase in May of 2022.
Drive in rain, went to follow a curve, lost steering and brakes. Ran right off the road. Was going 50 in a 55. Did not hyrdoplane just no response from the car
Service airbag light on
Several times my vehicle has said Engine Power is Reduced (I have a photograph) then it says reducing speed to 35 etc. It reduces speed very quickly and continues to do so. It's a safety hazard and I've had to pull off the side of the road so that I don't cause an accident.
During the automatic start/stop function, the car stalls out after it stops itself. For example, I exited an interstate and came to a red stoplight. The car engaged the fuel saving system and shut down the engine. However, after I tried to press the gas to get the car to reengage, the car completely shut down requiring me to put the car in park on an exit ramp and re crank the car to get it to start again. Batteries were tested and no one can figure out what the problem is.
The trunk will not open and if you force it open it will not close back. This has happened several times now and I’m not able to get into my trunk.
The car is stalling upon acceleration, which causes a jerking sensation. It has been diagnosed as an Intake Rocker Arm Solenoid Valve (oil). I have researched and notice that this has been a recall on previous models such as the 2014 Chevy Malibu. I don't understand why the 2015 Malibu would not be included in this recall. I am preparing to have this item fixed at the dealership, fearing that if I don't I could have an accident. The dealership is not inexpensive and times are hard. This is a hardship for me trying to pay for these repairs. I feel that Chevrolet/GMC needs to do something about this situation. Obviously, the problem is still not fixed.
2015 malibu which is equipped with auto stop will shudder and die anytime you stop. Car has been taken to multiple shops to try and get it fixed but nothing done has fixed the problem. Car has become a danger to drive. Both batteries have been replaced but did not help.
The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the check engine warning light and the message "dual battery" were displayed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the fuel saving battery was faulty and needed to be replaced. The battery was replaced however, the failure persisted. The mechanic then diagnosed that the fuse block was faulty. The fuse block was replaced and the failure was remedied. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 127,000.
On 11-11-21 my check engine light came on and message came up reducing engine power and also my speed was reduced. Stability track light came on. Took to shop they repaired but a week later same exact problems occurred. Took back to shop. So far hasn’t happened again. My husband Chevy equinox all of a sudden car does the same exact thing. The check engine light went off so he’s watching it

P16cf dtc and check engine light after some engine noise and an incident where I was trying to accelerate around an obstacle but was unable to. The car bottomed out and would not accelerate until I took my foot off the gas and tried again more slowly. It's an issue with the intake solenoid rocker arm (oil control valve). The issue with this particular part was noted on earlier Malibu models but not mine. I have not taken it to the dealer yet as I am out of the power train warranty.
My 2015 Malibu continues to have problems. I have a constant P Code (P2635) that refers to the fuel pump (Low Performance). The Malibu has the auto stop but at times the vehicle wants to lunge forward. It also at a stop not only goes to the auto stop (engine ) but cut off all the way . Which this result in having to place the car back in park to re-start. I have seen a youtube video of a hotspot (wear) on the wiring harness that is located in the right rear fender well that this blue and white wire was worn and broken possible causing this problem. Other that this issue the vehicle is good and still gets around 35mpg.

The vehicle failed to accelerate properly while driving to the residence. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the rocker arm oil flow control valve was inoperable and needed to be replaced. The local dealer replaced the part and the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 91,500.
My car keeps cutting out while I'm driving I've taken it to the Chevy dealership and they did a diagnostic test and it comes up with air intake system cat is running to lean

The contact stated that while driving at a slow speed, the passenger’s side front tire experienced a blowout. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 5,000. The Vin was not available.
The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact stated while his wife was approaching an intersection and depressed the brake pedal, the vehicle stalled. There was no warning light illuminated. The driver shifted the vehicle to park, restarted the vehicle, and drove to her destination. The contact called the local dealer and made them aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 42,700.
This 2015 Chevy Malibu has been serviced over 10 ten times for a stalling/check engine issue(s). Sometimes the check engine light will activate after stalling and other times it will not. This vehicle has only had 1 owner since the initial purchase with on-star showing all the times/dates that a problem was detected and reported via email (on star). The dealership has had ample attempts to fix the issues with the vehicle, as well as private ASE certified mechanic/shop after the issues continued with this problem vehicle. This vehicle is a lemon, it is not dependable, and the stalling issues seem to be an on-going issue with GM Chevy Malibu. On 05/15/2021 while in Natick Massachusetts, I was almost rear-ended after my vehicle stalled in traffic and I could not get to the BDL. As quickly as the vehicle stopped working, I was able to restart the vehicle and move it out of the road. This problem can not be ignored or downplayed, someone will eventual get hurt or killed because their vehicle stalls without reason or warning. I need a dependable vehicle and do not have the luxury to run to the dealership multiple times for an on-going problem.
2015 CHEVY MALIBU WITH 2.5L ENGINE WITH ROCKER ARM OIL CONTROL VALVE MALFUNCTIONING. CHECK ENGINE CAME ON THURSDAY MAY 6, 2021 AND HAD IT DIAGNOSED MONDAY MAY 10, 2021. 2014'S HAVE A RECALL, BUT 2015S DO NOT AND MY MECHANIC CAN'T EVEN FIND A GM PART TO FIX THIS.
I CAN BE DRIVING AT NORMAL SPEED AND I RECEIVE AN ERROR THAT THE ENGINE POWER IS REDUCING AND THE SPEED SHIFTS DOWN & I AM UNABLE TO EXCEED 25 MPH. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT POPS ON & ALSO AN ERROR REGARDING STABIL LOC NEEDS TO BE SERVICED. MY CAR HAS AUTOMATICALLY SHUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. I'VE HAD TO PULL OVER TO A SAFE MEDIUM ON THE HIGHWAY AND MOSTLY WHEN THE ERROR OCCURS, I'M NOT ABLE TO TURN A CORNER AT A SAFE SPEED. ALTHOUGH I AM ABLE TO START IT RIGHT BACK OFF THE ERROR STILL PERSISTS. I HAVE HAD WHAT "THEY SAY" IS THE ISSUE REPAIRED TWICE BUT AS SOON AS I GET THE CAR BACK, I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE 1-3 DAYS LATER.
I WAS PULLING OUT OF PARKING LOT WHEN MY CAR GEARS STARTED TO JERK THEN A "SERVICE POWER STEERING" ICON FLASHED ON THE DASHBOARD. MY ENGINE LIGHT READ A P305F CODE WHICH ONLY TOLD ME IT WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE DUAL BATTERY CONTROL MODULE (DBCM) I THEN TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND THERE DIAGNOSTICS JUST SAID TO REPLACE THE MAIN BATTERY. HOWEVER I REPLACED BOTH BATTERIES AND CAR STILL HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I DID MY PERSONAL RESEARCH AND I ENDED UP REPLACING THE BATTERY MODULE YET CAR STILL HAD SAME ISSUE. I'VE ALREADY BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP TWICE AND CAN'T AFFORD TO KEEP SPENDING MONEY ON DIAGNOSTIC TEST. I ALSO NOTICED THAT THIS WAS A COMMON ISSUE FOR THIS VEHICLE AND THAT MULTIPLE PEOPLE HAD FILED COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR PROBLEM. THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS TO ME AT RANDOM TIMES WHILE DRIVING OR WHILE PULLING OUT OF PARKING LOT AND IS A MAJOR HAZARD IF DRIVING ON BUSY STREET OR HIGHWAY. WHEN IT DOES THE AUTO STOP AT A RED LIGHT THE CAR JERKS AND SOMETIMES GEARS WILL LOCK UP AND TRANSMISSION WILL EXPERIENCE PROBLEMS AS WELL. OTHER TIMES THE CAR JUST JERKS AND A SERVICE POWER STEERING ICON WILL DISPLAY ON THE DASHBOARD
WHEN TURNING LEFT FROM A STOP MY CAR ALL AT ONCE SAID ENGINE POWER REDUCED TO 25MPH, SERVICE AIRBAG, SERVICE STABILITRAC, AND SERVICE BRAKE ASSIST.
CAR HAD AIRBAG LIGHT COME ON. THE VEH WAS DIAGNOSED WITH AIR BAG - CONTROL MODULE: C0196 C0186 C0287 B101D.. NEED TO START WITH REPLACING AIR BAG CONTROL MODULE .. CODES ARE ALL HISTORY CODES.. INTERMITTENT ISSUE.. COULD HAVE OTHER ISSUES AS WELL.
THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE CODE IS P305F WHICH MEANS THE BATTERY CONTROL MODULE IS AFFECTED. THIS POWERS THE ACCESSORIES. WHEN THE AUTO STOP FEATURE TRIGGERS, THE VEHICLE'S ACCESSORIES WILL TURN OFF AND HEADLIGHTS WILL TURN OFF. DANGEROUS AT NIGHT. THERE ARE NO CURRENT SOLUTIONS FOR THIS CODE AND MAKES THE CAR A FAILURE FOR EMISSIONS.
THE BACK DEFROSTER QUIT WORKING OVER A YEAR AGO. FRONT DEFROSTER IS BLOWING OUT THE FRONT VENTS WHEN SET ON FULL DEFROST OR FEET AND DEFROST. NOTICED IT WHEN I STARTED MY CAR AND IT WASN'T WORKING ON THE WINDOWS AND IT WOULDN'T CHANGE.
ON 1-24-2021, WHILE DRIVING THE CAR INITIALLY HAD ISSUES GAINING ACCELERATION DESPITE PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL. ONCE I WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR TO REACH A SPEED OF 40MPH I RECEIVED A WARNING ON THE DASH STATING THE CAR'S SPEED IS BEING REDUCED TO 25MPH, FOLLOWED BY A MESSAGE THAT SAID REDUCED ENGINE POWER AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THIS LED TO THE CAR STALLING AND EVENTUALLY SHUTTING DOWN ABOUT 2-3 MINUTES LATER. I WAS ABLE TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BEFORE THE CAR SHUT DOWN AND TURNED THE HAZARD LIGHTS ON. AFTER APPROXIMATELY 20 MINUTES I WAS ABLE TO START THE CAR. THE REDUCED ENGINE POWER MESSAGE REMAINED ALONG WITH A NEW MESSAGE OF SERVICE STABILITRAK. I WAS STILL UNABLE TO ACCELERATE BEYOND 25MPH WHICH WAS BELOW THE MINIMUM SPEED FOR THE ROAD I WAS DRIVING ON.

CAR DIES WHILE IN AUTO STOP. ONLY HAPPENS IN AUTO STOP, AT STOP LIGHTS, IN DRIVE THUR.
THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET AND THE WHOLE RADIO CONSOLE CUT OFF FOR ABOUT 5 SECONDS AND CAME BACK ON. THE ENGINE LIGHT THEN POPPED ON.IT DID THIS TWICE IN A MATTER OF 10 MINS. THIS ISSUED HAS HAPPENED TWICE SPORADICALLY 3 TIMES BUT NEVER CONSECUTIVE ON THE SAME DAY. BOTH BATTERIES WERE TESTED AND THEY ARE GOOD. GOT THE CODE P305F. PERFORMED A CHECK ON ALL WIRES AND HARNESSES AND THEY WERE SECURE. THE MAIN BATTERY WAS REPLACED WITH A NEW AC DELCO ON FEBRUARY 22, 2020. MY CAR ALSO CUT OFF ON SEPTEMBER 30 WHILE IT WAS IN MOTION AND I WAS SWITICHING GEARS TO REVERSE.
AIR BAG CAME ON ALL AT ONCE ABOUT A MOUNTH AGO I PUT IN SHOP TO FIX . SHOP SAID IT WAS FIX THEY REPROGRAMED THE AIR BAG THEY SAY. ONE WEEK LATER WAS BACK ON . TOOK BACK TO SHOP SHOP SAY NEED A NEW COMPUTER. WAS" 700.00 TO FIX IT.
MY REAR DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WOULD NOT STAY CLOSED AND OPENED WHILE DRIVING. I FINALLY GOT IT TO STAY SHUT BUT NOW IT WILL NOT OPEN. OUTSIDE HANDLE PULLS EASILY BUT THE INSIDE HANDLE DOES NOT
MODEL: 2015 CHEVY MALIBU/ 80000 MILES WHILE DRIVING THE CAR (IN HIGHWAY) IT STOPPED ALL OF A SUDDEN. IF I STOP AT A RED LIGHT THE ENGINE COMPLETELY SHUTS DOWN AND THEN I HAVE TO PUT IT ON PARKING/NEUTRAL AND RESTART THE CAR AGAIN. MY CONCERN IS IF IT SUDDENLY STOPS WHILE I AM DRIVING IT, I MAY GET HIT FROM BEHIND AND GET SERIOUSLY INJURED (ALMOST GOT HIT THE OTHER DAY). WHILE I WAS HAVING THE ISSUES, "SERVICE STABILITRAK" SIGN APPEARS ON THE DASH.
I WAS AT A RED LIGHT ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY NO WARNING WHAT SO EVER. LIGHT TURNED GREEN TOOK FOOT OFF BRAKE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON THEN CAR COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. HAD POWER BUT I GUESS NOT ENOUGH TO TURN ON THE HAZARD LIGHTS. ALMOST GOT HIT IN THE REAR BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT I WAS GETTING READY TO MOVE BECAUSE THERE WHERE NO LIGHTS ON IN THE REAR. HAD TO PUSH IT OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD THAT WAS HARD DUE TO THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING AT ALL. GOT MY SON TO COME GET ME BUT FIRST WE WANTED TO SEE IF THE CAR WOULD START WITH A JUMP START AND IT DID BUT CALLED FOR A TOW TRUCK BECAUSE I WAS SCARED IT WAS GOING TO SHUT OFF AGAIN. THERE WAS NO WARNING OR EVEN WARNING SIGNS PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT. BESIDE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON RIGHT BEFORE THE CAR SHUT OFF THAT WAS NOT A VERY GOOD WARNING. SO I BOUGHT A BATTERY FOR THE CAR AND EVERYTHING HAS BEEN FINE. I REALLY THINK THAT PUT ME IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION NOT BEING ABLE TO PUT MY HAZARD LIGHTS ON BEING ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY AND TRYING TO PUSH IT TO THE SIDE WITH NO POWER STEERING.
I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO 2 DIFFERENT MECHANIC SHOPS TO TRY AND FIND THE ISSUE THAT I AM HAVING WITH ACCELERATION. THE CAR IS NOT ACCELERATING AND NO ONE KNOWS WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. IT IS CURRENTLY WITH BECK CHEVY AND I AM NOW AT THE $700 MARK AND MY CAR HAS YET TO BE FIXED. WHEN DRIVING THE CAR WILL JUST STOP ACCELERATING AND I HAVE BEEN STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY HIGHWAY TWICE.
STEERING OPERATION AT LOW SPEEDS MAKES CLICKING NOISE, BOTH IN FORWARD AND REVERSE, SOUNDS LIKE IT IS COMING FROM UNDER THE DASH. STEERING STILL OPERATES NORMALLY.
THE CAR STALLS OUT WHILE IN TRAFFIC AND/OR IMMEDIATELY REDUCE SPEED FLASHING-ENGINE REDUCE CODE ON THE DASH, MINES IN PARTICULAR HAS FLASHED SERVICE TRACTION AND REDUCE ENGINE POWER ON THE DASH, DIAGNOSTIC TESTING IS NOT GIVING ANY CODES FOR A SPECIFIC REASON FOR THIS ISSUE, SEEM TO BE SOMETHING UP WITH THE SENSORS AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEM ON THIS CAR- CAUSING MULTIPLE ISSUES TO HAPPEN ALL AT ONE TIME. CHEVY DEALER NOT VERY HELP- SUGGESTING TO FIX RANDOM PARTS AND THE ISSUE CONTINUES. DECIDED NOT TO DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY, BUT DID DRIVE ON A BUSY STREET IN BALTIMORE COUNTY.
CAR HAS 23,800 MILES ON IT AND THE SERVICE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT HAS COME UP ON THE DASHBOARD AND DOESN'T GO OFF. DIAGNOSTIC IS NOT PULLING ANY CODE. MONTHLY DIAGNOSTIC REPORT FROM GM SAYS THERE IS NO PROBLEM. HAVE SEEN OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE.
MY AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND I CAN'T IT TO JIM TAYLOR CHEVROLET THEY SAY IS NOT A RECALL ON THAT LS CHEVROLET MALIBU
EVERY TIME IT RAINS OR I WASH THE CAR, WATER LEAKS INTO MY TRUNK. I'VE BEEN TOLD IT WAS DUE TO THE ANTENNA SEAL AND I HAVE HEARD THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE CARS, BUT I HAVENT SEEN ANYWHERE THAT THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL.
WHEN I TURN MY CAR ON IT SHOWS SERVICE AIRBAG AND THE SENSORS ARE GOOD AND HASN'T BEEN IN A WRECK. I'M AFRAID THAT IT WILL DEPLOY WHEN I'M DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD OR THEY WON'T DEPLOY IF I WAS TO BE IN A WRECK. IT COMES ON AS SOON AS YOUR TURN THE CAR ON. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH THE VEHICLE STARTED TO DRIVE TO THE RIGHT AND THE WHEELS BEGAN TO LOSE TRACTION BEFORE THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO TURN CAUSING THE DRIVER TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE STEERING. THE VEHICLE THEN SPUN OUT AND CRASHED INTO A DITCH. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ALL AIR BAGS DEPLOYED EXCEPT FOR THE DRIVER'S FRONTAL AIR BAG. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED LOWER BACK AND LEFT SHOULDER INJURIES HOWEVER HAD NOT SOUGHT MEDICAL ATTENTION DUE TO COVID-19. THE CONTACT STATED THAT A POLICE OFFICER WAS DRIVING BEHIND HER AND STOPPED TO ASSIST. POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TOWED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. ALSO, THE VEHICLE HAD PREVIOUSLY EXPERIENCED ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WHICH CAUSED THE DOORS, LOCKING THE DRIVER INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED AT THE TIME OF THE ELECTRICAL FAILURE THERE WAS A BURNING ODOR COMING FROM THE VENTS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LYNCH CHEVROLET OF MUKWONAGO (280 EAST WOLF RUN MUKWONAGO, WI 53149) WHO REPLACED AN ELECTRICAL HARNESS AND MODULE. NO FURTHER INFO WAS AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE HAD EXPERIENCED A SHIFT TO PARK FAILURE AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT IMMEDIATELY SHUT OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER AND THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT CONTROL ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED BUT THE FAILURE WOULD STILL OCCUR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000. *DT*JB

MY ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO. I TOOK IT TODAY MAY 7, 2020 TO THE PINE BELT CHEVROLET IN LAKEWOOD, NJ. I EXPLAIN TO THEM THAT MY CAR WOULD SHAKE AND STALL WHILE DRIVING. I EXPLAIN TO THEM THAT I DID NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING ESPECIALLY WITH MY FOUR-YEAR-OLD SON IN THE BACKSEAT. I WANTED TO GET IT CHECKED OUT AND THAT WAS THE REASON WHY I BROUGHT IT THERE. THEY INFORMED ME THAT THIS WAS CAUSED DUE TO A ROCKER CONTROL ARM VALVE.THEY INFORMED ME THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO ORDER THE PART, WHICH THEY DID, BUT THAT IT WOULD TAKE A VERY LONG TIME TO GET IT IN. THEY DID NOT OFFER ME A LOANER CAR AS THEY DID NOT KEEP MY CAR TO WORK ON. THEY SENT ME BACK ON THE ROAD WITH A SHAKING CAR THAT STALLS WHILE DRIVING. I DID MY RESEARCH AND HAVE SEEN THAT THERE WAS A PETITION OF OVER 1500 SIGNATURES WITH OWNERS OF 2014 CHEVY IMPALA'S AND 2015 CHEVY MALIBU'S WHO ALL COMPLAINS OF THE SAME THING AND INCLUDED THAT THEY HAVE BEEN WAITING 4 OR MORE MONTHS FOR THIS PART. I AM COMPLAINING FOR THE FACT THAT THIS IS UNSAFE, THERE HAS BEEN NO RECALL FOR THIS THOUGH THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS AND WE ARE ALL PAYING FOR VEHICLES THAT ARE NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. I HAVE ATTACHED THE LINK TO THE PETITION THAT SHOWS THAT NUMEROUS PEOPLE HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS FAULTY PART. ALSO, I AM ATTACHING MY INVOICE. THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED. *TR
I WENT TO LEAVE MY OFFICE YESTERDAY AFTERNOON 4/29/10 AND MY SEAT BELT WOULDN'T RELEASE. I TRIED SEVERAL DIFFERENT THINGS TO GET IT TO RELEASE, NO LUCK. I HAVE HAD NO PREVIOUS ISSUE WITH THE DRIVERS SIDE SEAT BELT, NOR HAS MY CAR EVER BEEN INVOLVED IN ANY TYPE OF ACCIDENT. MY MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO GET THE SEAT BELT TO UNLOCK. A NEW SEAT BELT WAS REQUIRED. THE PART CAN ONLY BE BOUGHT AT A DEALERSHIP. I CALLED 4 DEALERSHIPS, NONE HAD IT IN STOCK. I COULD ORDER AND THEY WOULD HAVE IT IN 1-2 DAYS. I FINALLY FOUND A DEALERSHIP THAT HAD THE PART, IT WAS 40 MILES AWAY. THE PART COST OVER 200.00 DOLLARS, SOME QUOTED ALMOST 300.00 AND THAT'S JUST FOR THE PART, NO LABOR. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED.
I OWN A 2015 CHEVROLET MALIBU LTZ AND I CAN BE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND THE 'SERVICE STABILITRACK' LIGHT WILL COME ON, THEN IT WILL SAY 'REDUCED ENGINE POWER'. I WILL HAVE TO PULL OVER, TURN CAR OFF, AND LET IT SIT FOR A MINUTE OR TWO, THEN CRANK BACK UP AND THOSE LIGHTS WILL GO OFF, BUT THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT WILL COME ON. SOMETIMES I HAVE TO DO THIS EVERY 5-10 MILES, DEPENDING ON THE DISTANCE OF MY DESTINATION, WHICH POSES A SAFETY ISSUE FOR ME, ESPECIALLY IF I'M TRAVELING AT NIGHT. THIS MOSTLY HAPPENS WHEN I'M DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET MALIBU. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT. THE CONTACT RAISED THE HOOD AND JIGGLED SOME UNKNOWN WIRES AND THE VEHICLE RESTARTED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED THE FIRST TIME, IT WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE AN UNKNOWN SENSOR, ALTERNATOR, THE BATTERY, AND THE BATTERY CABLES WERE REPLACED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 55,000.
