WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WITH BOTH OR ONE REAR WINDOW DOWN IT HAS A BUFFERING NOISE. IT HURTS PEOPLE EARS BIG TIME. SO I DROVE A FORD FUSION AND THAT CAR DOES NOT HAVE THE NOISE. I HAVE TALK TO GM AND THE DEALERSHIPS AND THEY WONT HELP ME OUT. I THINK THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS TYPE OF CAR BECAUSE WHEN THEY BUILD IT GM KNEW ABOUT THE SOUND THIS CAR MAKES AND HOW IT WILL HURT PEOPLE EARS.
OIL LIGHT CAME ON TOOK CAR IN TO GET OIL CHANGED AND FIX NAIL IN TIRE. THERE WAS A RECALL ON PRE IGNITION. ECM WAS REPROGRAMMED AND OIL AND OIL FILTER WAS CHANGED
I PURCHASED THE CAR IN JUNE OF 2016 AND HAVE HAD MULTIPLE ELECTRICAL/SOFTWARE ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE. THE LATEST ISSUE IS A COMPLETE SHUTDOWN OF THE ENTIRE INFOTAINMENT CENTER, INCLUDING CAUSING THE BLINKERS TO GO SILENT. SOME OF THE ISSUES WITH THE CAR SEEM TO POSE MUCH MORE OF A CRITICAL SAFETY ISSUE AND I FEEL OBLIGATED TO REPORT TO THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION REGARDING MY ISSUES WITH ENGINE POWER FAILURE. THERE HAVE BEEN MULTIPLE RECALLS REGARDING THE IGNITION STOP/START FUNCTION, THE BATTERY MONITOR MODULE TIMER, AND EVEN THE ENTIRE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE. I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE ENGINE POWER FAILED, FORTUNATELY I WAS ABLE TO EXIT I-94 SAFELY. THIS VEHICLE AND ENTIRE EXPERIENCE HAS ME FEELING FINANCIALLY VIOLATED AND PHYSICALLY UNSAFE.
WHILE MERGING ONTO A HIGHWAY, THE VEHICLE LOST ENGINE POWER AND THE "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT CAME ON. THE INFORMATION PANEL THEN DISPLAYED TWO WARNINGS, INCLUDING "ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED" AND WOULD NOT LET THE VEHICLE ACCELERATE MORE THAN 40 MPH. THE INFORMATION PANEL ALSO STATED "SERVICE DRIVER ASSIST SYSTEM." THE DEALER STATES IT'S AN ISSUE WITH A FAULTY ACCELERATOR PEDAL TERMINAL? HOWEVER, THIS ISSUE HAS HAPPENED THREE TIMES OVER THE PAST FEW MONTHS AND IS VERY DANGEROUS WHEN TRAVELING ON THE ROADS, AND POWER/ACCELERATION IS REDUCED AND CAPPED AT 40 MPH.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 17,922. ..UPDATED 10/13/17 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE HAS AN AUTO STOP FEATURE ON IT FROM THE FACTORY. WHEN THE VEHICLE COMES TO A STOP, THE FEATURE CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO SHUT DOWN AND RESTART. THIS CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS IF STOPPING ON AN INCLINE, AS THE VEHICLE WOULD DRIFT BACKWARDS. TAKATA RECALL: I PURCHASE A NEW VEHICLE IN 2016. I START HAVING ISSUES 6MONTHS AFTER PURCHASING. THE FIRST ONE THAT WAS NEVER RESOLVED: CHECK ENGINE, ENGINE POWER REDUCED. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO CHEVY WEBB IN LANSIN, IL. THIS CAR HAS STOP ON ME ON THE EXPRESSWAY AND ON THE STREET. WHEN REDUCE SPEED COME I HAVE TO PULL OVER AND HOPING I AM NOT ON THE EXPRESS AGAIN. NOW, CHEVY STOP ASSISTING ME WITH THESE ISSUES BECAUSE WARRANTY IS OVER BUT, THIS ISSUES WERE NEVER RESOLVED. NOW I FIND OUT THAT 2016 MALIBU HAD A RECALL ON THEM MAY 2016 REGARDING THE SAME ISSUES THAT I AM EXPERIENCING NOW. I PURCHASED OCT 21, 2016. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD GRINDING NOISE AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, PUMPED THE BRAKE PEDAL FOR HALF AN HOUR, AND WAS ABLE TO RESUME DRIVING. THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FAIRWAY CHEVROLET (LOCATED ON 3100 E SAHARA AVE, LAS VEGAS, NV) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED OR DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,090.
TAKATA RECALL- EXPERIENCE ISSUES WITH CAR AFTER TWO WEEKS OF OWNING.CAR BEGAN RATTLE WHEN PARKED, SLOW TO ACCELERATE "DRAGGED". LATER DISCOVER AFTER RETURNING TO SHOP FOR REPAIR , CAR WAS SOLD WITH RECALL ISSUED 25PLUS DAYS PRIOR TO PURCHASE. WAS NOT NOTIFIED BY DEALER

LAUDERDALE, FL) AND WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE CONTACT WAS UNSURE OF WHAT THE DEALER REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES, BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 4,561.
VEHICLE CONTINUES TO HAVE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CODE ISSUES THAT ARE RELATED TO SENSORS AND COMPUTING ISSUES. OXYGEN SENSORS, BOOSTER SENSORS AS WELL AS CONSTANT RECODING.
WHEN THE VEHICLE GOES INTO AUTO STOP AND GOES TO COME BACK ON IT RANDOMLY HAS PROBLEMS, AND THE RADIO COMPLETELY CUTS OUT NOW THIS IS NOT EVERY TIME IS GOES INTO AUTO STOP IT'S JUST RANDOM I DO HAVE A VIDEO OF THE ISSUE. IT WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO UPLOAD THE VIDEO BUT YOU CAN EMAIL ME AND I CAN SEND IT TO YOU
BRAND NEW 2016 MALIBU 30 MILES OFF THE LOT AND 100% OF THE TIME THE CAR BUCKS WHEN BRAKING. FROM 3RD GEAR TO FIRST GEAR THE CAR ENGINE PULLS BACK THE CAR ABRUPTLY WHILE THE RPM'S RISE ALMOST 1000 BACK DOWN WITH EACH SHIFT. I BROUGHT IT TO CHEVROLET 3 TIMES AS WELL AS CALLED THE HOT LINE #. AFTER TWICE BEING TOLD THAT NO ONE CAN FIND WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT THEY TURNED THE STORY TO WELL CHEVY ENGINES DO THAT SO DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT. THAT ITS THE ECO ENGINE CONSERVING POWER. I HAVE REPLICATED THE SITUATION TO THE DEALERSHIP AND IN RETURN, NOTHING WAS FIXED. I LOOKED ONLINE TO SEE IF OTHER PEOPLE WHO BOUGHT THIS CAR HAD THIS ISSUE AND HAVEN'T TURNED UP ANYTHING. THE CAR IS WORST IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC AND APPARENTLY THEY SAY UNLESS A RECALL IN ISSUED THEIRS NOTHING TO BE DONE. CITY DRIVING IT HAPPENS 100% OF THE TIME WHEN THE BRAKE IS APPLIED. HIGHWAY, ONLY WHEN HAVING TO SLOW DOWN ENOUGH TO HIT THE LOWER GEARS. I FEEL THAT THIS ISSUE IS ALSO WEARING AWAY THE BRAKES FASTER THAN USUAL. THIS CAR HAS A CHECKERED HISTORY WITH RECALLS AND MY MODEL YEAR EVEN HAD TRANSMISSION ISSUES AND YET I'M TOLD TO DEAL WITH IT. I HAVE BEEN SURE TO MAKE A PAPER TRAIL OF BRINGING IT IN SINCE I DROVE IT OFF THE LOT AS WELL AS EVERY TIME I'VE SPOKEN OFF THE BOOKS ABOUT IT TO CHEVY EMPLOYEES.I KNOW THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE AS WELL AS OTHERS. IT SEEMS AS IF THE TIMING OF THE DOWNSHIFT EVEN COULD BE THE ISSUE BUT I DON'T KNOW AND THEY WON'T EVEN LOOK AT IT UNLESS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON OR A RECALL IS ISSUED. AND WHEN THE CAR BUCKS SOMETIMES THE BRAKES DON'T HAVE A TIGHT ENOUGH GRIP AND CAUSES THE CAR TO POUNCE AN INCH OR TWO.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE STABILITRAK INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. ALSO, AFTER TURNING THE IGNITION OFF, THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO OPERATE FOR APPROXIMATELY 30 SECONDS. UPON RESTARTING THE VEHICLE, IT DROVE VERY ROUGHLY AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO RED LION CHEVROLET (3220 CAPE HORN RD, RED LION, PA) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE ENGINE WAS REPLACED. APPROXIMATELY THREE MONTHS LATER, AFTER SWITCHING TO THE PARK POSITION, "SHIFT TO PARK" APPEARED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SAME DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SHIFTER ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT "POWER REDUCED" LATER DISPLAYED AND THE SPEED SUDDENLY REDUCED TO 10 MPH. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000.
CAR IS EQUIPPED WITH LOW PROFILE TIRES AND THEY GO FLAT WHEN VEHICLE STRIKES A POTHOLE. I HAD TO REPLACE ALL FOUR TIRES AFTER JUST 10,000 MILES(WENT FROM CONTINENTAL TO BRIDGESTONE). IMMEDIATELY AFTERWARDS, BETWEEN 10,000 AND 11,000 MILES, I WENT THROUGH 4 MORE TIRES DUE TO THIS TYPE OF TIRE STRIKING A POTHOLE. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING FOR 50 YEARS, HAD 3 FLAT AND 1 VANDALIZED TIRE AND NOW GONE THROUGH 8 TIRES IN 6 MONTHS!

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE ECM MAY HAVE POSSIBLY FAILED. THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED, A LOUD ABNORMAL NOISE EMITTED FROM THE TRANSMISSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE THE COMPUTER SYSTEMS WERE FLASHED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. IN ADDITION, THE SENSORS BECAME INOPERABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ANOTHER DEALER, BUT THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS WAS 9,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING A LOUD POPPING NOISE IN THE REAR OF MY VEHICLE WHILE OPERATING IT. I HAVE TAKEN IT IN FOR MAINTENANCE AT MY LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALER HOWEVER THEY CONTINUE TO TELL ME THAT THEY CANNOT DUPLICATE THE NOISE. THE NOISE SOUNDS LIKE IT MAY BE COMING FROM MY BACK AXLES AND DOESN'T SEEM TO BE AFFECTED BY A MINIMUM OR MAXIMUM SPEED. I HAVE ENSURED ALL BRACKETS ARE SECURED INSIDE OF MY TRUNK AS I THOUGHT THERE MIGHT HAVE BEEN SOMETHING LOOSE HOWEVER, THAT IS NOT THE CASE.
OVER THE PAST 8 MONTHS OF OWNING THIS CAR, I'VE HAD THIS VEHICLE'S WINDSHIELD CRACK OR CHIP ON SIX DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. IN THE PAST TEN YEARS, I'VE HAD A CHIPPED WINDSHIELD TWICE BEFORE OWNING THIS CAR. THIS HAS TO BE A DEFECT. MANY TIMES, I DON'T EVEN SEE A ROCK HIT THE WINDSHIELD, BUT HEAR IT. AFTER INSPECTING, I FIND THAT THE WINDSHIELD IS CHIPPED. MY DRIVING HABITS HAVE NOT CHANGED, NOR HAS MY ROUTE TO AND FROM WORK. THE DESIGN OF THE CAR HAS TO BE CAUSING THE ISSUE AS THE CHIPPING AND CRACKING IS OCCURRING WAY TOO FREQUENTLY..

SHORTLY AFTER, THE BRAKES INVOLUNTARILY DEPRESSED, BUT THEN IMMEDIATELY ENGAGED PROPERLY. THE CONTACT FELT UNSAFE IN THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,800.

THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. THE ISSUED RECURRED AFTER LEAVING THE DEALER AND THE VEHICLE REDUCE SPEED AND CHECK ENGINE INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO DRIVE ABOVE 20 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THEY WOULD NEED TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE VIN WAS INVALID. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,695.

THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. IN ADDITION, THE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD WITHOUT WARNING. WHEN IT RELEASED, THE BRAKE PEDAL SEIZED AND CAUSED THE CONTACT TO DRIVE THROUGH A RED LIGHT, WHICH ALMOST CAUSED A CRASH. THE CONTACT HAD TO APPLY EXTREME FORCE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL TO STOP THE VEHICLE. A PASSERBY ALERTED THE CONTACT THAT THE BRAKE LIGHTS FAILED TO ILLUMINATE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND OPENED A CASE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE FAILURES CONTINUED. THE CONTACT WAS WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FROM THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

I THEN OBSERVE 'ON 2' INDICATOR GOES INTO OFF MODE AUTOMATICALLY. I DO NOT KNOW EXACTLY WHEN AIRBAG PASSENGER SYSTEM REVERTS TO OFF MODE. I WILL TAKE VEHICLE INTO AUTHORIZED CHEV SERVICE CENTER SOMETIME THIS WEEK AS I AM IN WARRANTY. I AM NOT AWARE OF ANY RECALL NOTICE AND VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN CHEV SERVICE CENTER FOR OIL CHANGE, TIRE ROTATION AND VEHICLE SAFETY CHECK LIST ABOUT 30 DAYS PRIOR. WINDSHIELD HAS THOUSANDS OF TINY , WHITE SPECS ACROSS ENTIRE FIELD. THESE SPECS AT FIRST EXAM LOOK LIKE PAINT OVERSPRAY. BUT CLOSER EXAM WITH A FLASHLIGHT AT A LOW , SKIMMING ANGLE, REVELS IMBEDDED PARTICLES. IN LATE OR EARLY SUNLIGHT, THIS CAUSES A FOGGY APPEARANCE TO SHADED AREAS, LIKE TREES OR BUILDINGS. CLARITY IS ABSOLUTELY IMPEDED. RECENTLY AS I EXITED A FREEWAY, DRIVING WESTWARD INTO THE 7 PM SUN, I MADE A RIGHT TURN ONTO MY STREET AND ALMOST RAN OVER THE CURB AS THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD BECAME A HAZE TOTALLY BLOTTING OUT CLEAR VISION OF THE CORNER. HAD THERE BEEN A PERSON OR ANY OBJECT IN THAT SPACE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN HIT. THAT WAS A PANIC FEELING I DID NOT NEED ! THE GM DEALER EARLIER THAT DAY COULD NOT SEE IT WELL BECAUSE THE SUNLIGHT WAS STILL HIGH IN THE SKY THUS NOT CAUSING THE EFFECT . THEY TRIED TO INSPECT IT WITH A POCKET FLASHLIGHT, BUT NOT CONVINCED SI I HAVE TO RETURN TO THEM EARLY IN A MORNING OR LATE IN THE DAY TO GET THE SAME EXPERIENCE I HAVE DAILY . MY WIFE BEARS WITNESS TO THIS UNSAFE SITUATION . ITEM TWO: THE REAR VIEW MIRROR IS SO SMALL IT IS RIDICULOUS. IT IS LIKE PEEPING THRU A CRACK IN A FENCE ! AND, ADJUSTING IT IS A TIGHT SQUEEZE FOR MY HAND WHERE THE HEADLINER COMES TOO CLOSE TO THE MIRROR.
MY DRIVERS SEAT BOTTOM HAS BECOME "LOOSE". MY CAR HAS POWERED CONTROLS, AND LEATHER UPHOLSTERY. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIRS, THEY HAD THE CAR FOR APPROX. 1.5 WEEKS, THEY SAY THAT THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. I TOLD THEM THAT THE ROADS IN THE CITY WERE STRAIGHT, YOU WOULDN'T FEEL IT THERE. THAT YOU NEEDED TO DRIVE IT ON A WINDY COUNTRY ROAD. THEY DIDN'T DO SO. THEY WOULDN'T EVEN TAKE THE SEAT OUT AND INVESTIGATE IT. I PICKED UP MY CAR AND AS SOON AS I GOT HOME TO MY AREA (COUNTRY, WITH WINDING ROADS), THE SEAT IS DOING IT AGAIN. IT IS A VERY UNCOMFORTABLE FEELING.
WHEN BRAKING TO STOP AT LIGHT SOMETIMES MY CAR WILL JERK LIKE IT IS TRYING TO TAKE OFF. WILL HAVE TO PUSH HARD ON THE BRAKE PEDAL TO GET IT TO STOP. WON'T HAPPEN FOR A WHILE THEN IT WILL HAPPEN 4 TO 5 TIMES IN A ROW THEN WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN FOR A WHILE. SOMETIME I FEEL LIKE MY CAR IS GOING TO JUMP OUT OF CONTROL.

(CAR PURCHASED IN 2016) AS OF AUGUST 2018, DASH WILL PROMPT TO SHIFT INTO PARK ONCE VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF EVEN THOUGH CAR IS IN PARK. I JUST BOUGHT A 2016 CAMARO WHICH HAD BAD MOTOR MOUNTS. WHICH THE DEALER DENIED. I DECIDED THAT I COULD NOT DRIVE A BRAND NEW CAR WITH BAD MOTOR MOUNTS SO I TRADED THE CAR IN FOR THE 2016 MALIBU. AFTER DRIVING THE MALIBU FOR A COUPLE WEEKS NOW, I NOTICED SIMILAR CHARACTERISTICS OF MOTOR MOUNT PROBLEMS I'VE HAD IN THE PAST. CURRENTLY, I BELIEVE THAT CHEVROLET'S OR GMS MOTOR MOUNT DESIGNS OR QUALITY, ARE IN LINE WITH INDUSTRY STANDARDS. I'VE TRIED TO CONTACT CHEVROLET AND THEY'RE NOT PROVIDING ME WITH AN AVENUE TO START AN INVESTIGATION. I CAN CURRENTLY DEMONSTRATE WHAT I BELIEVE TO BE, EXCESSIVE POWER TRAIN MOVEMENT ON MY CURRENT 2016 MALIBU WHICH I BELIEVE EXISTS ON OTHER MALIBUS AND OTHER GM MADE MODELS, LIKE CAMARO SS. I HAVE: TURNED OFF ENGINE, OPENED THE HOOD THEN PUSHED AND PULLED THE CAR BACK AND FORTH. THE POWER TRAIN MOVEMENT WAS QUIT NOTICEABLE. I MIGHT PUT A DIAL INDICATOR ON IT TO SEE EXACTLY HOW FAR. I'LL BE TAKING MY CAR IN TO THE DEALER TO GET THEIR WRITTEN WORD ON MY CURRENT COMPLAINT FOR WHICH I BELIEVE WILL RESULT IN 'THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH YOUR CAR' OR ITS 'WORKING AS DESIGNED'. AGAIN, I BELIEVE THE POWER TRAIN MOVEMENT TO BE OUTSIDE OF INDUSTRY STANDARDS. ONLY CERTAIN PEOPLE IN THE AUTO INDUSTRY WOULD BE ABLE TO DEEM OTHERWISE. I JUST SO HAPPEN TO KNOW WHAT A POWER TRAIN MOUNT ISSUE FEELS LIKE. POWER TRAIN MOVEMENT DURING SHIFTS IS VERY EXTREME ON THIS CAR IN MY OPINION. THE AVERAGE PERSON WOULD THINK THAT IT'S A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION ITSELF. HOWEVER, I KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. IT'S THE POWER TRAIN MOUNTS CAUSING IT TO FEEL LIKE A FIRM/JOLTING SHIFT. IT'S NOT A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION ITSELF. DUE TO THE FACT I'VE HAD 2C 2016 CHEVROLET CARS WITH WHAT I BELIEVE HAD BAD POWER TRAIN MOUNTS, I BELIEVE CHEVROLET HAS A SYSTEMIC ISSUE. WHILE STARTING OFF OR TRYING TO ACCELERATE, THE CAR HAS NO POWER TO PICK UP SPEED. I TOOK THE VEHICLE INTO THE DEALERSHIP FOR EVALUATION AND THEY COULD NOT DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE. THIS ISSUE HAPPENS FROM TIME TO TIME ON FREEWAY OR CITY DRIVING. I HAVE HAD TO MOVE TO THE SHOULDER TO LET CARS PASS BY BECAUSE MY CAR WOULD NOT PICK UP SPEED. THIS ISSUE IS STILL PRESENT TODAY

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,614.
DURING A MODEST DECELERATION OR WHILE THE CAR IS COASTING TOWARDS A STOP WITH BRAKE DEPRESSED, THE TRANSMISSION WILL AT TIMES SEEM TO DOWNSHIFT IN AN UNSMOOTH WAY. SEEMINGLY SKIPPING GEARS DOWN. THE VEHICLE AT TIMES CAN COAST AT AROUND 1500 RPMS THEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE RPMS JUMP TO ALMOST OR AROUND 3000 RPMS CAUSING A BUCKING SENSATION FOR THE DRIVER. BRAKE USE IS AFFECTED WHEN THIS OCCURS. WHEN THE VEHICLE BUCKS, THE BRAKE PRESSURE CAN CHANGE OR IS ENHANCED BY THE DOWNSHIFT. THIS CAN HAPPEN PRETTY REGULARLY DURING REGULAR DRIVING USE AND IS NOTICED MOST DURING SLOWER DRIVING SPEEDS (10 - 45 MPH) AND LIGHT BRAKE USE. HIGH SPEED BRAKING AND HEAVY BRAKE USE DO NOT HAVE THIS AFFECT AS MUCH. DEALER REVIEWED AND COULD NOT SEE ANY ISSUES. SUGGESTED REPORT TO GM - PERHAPS A SOFTWARE UPDATE CAN SMOOTH OUT SHIFTING. NOTICED FIRST TIME A DAY AFTER PURCHASE.
WHILE I WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPOT, MY 2016 CHEVROLET MALIBU SUDDENLY ACCELERATED WITHOUT ANY WARNING. THIS SUDDEN UNINTENDED ACCELERATION CAUSED MY VEHICLE TO JUMP THE CURB AND STRIKE A TREE, WHICH CAUSED EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE PASSENGER SIDE FENDER, FRONT GRILL ETC.
