I HAVE A 2000 CHEVROLET SILVERADO THAT THE SERVICE 4 WHEEL DRIVE LIGHT COMES ON QUITE FREQUENTLY WHEN I AM DRIVING . I HAVE HAD IT LOOKED AT BY THE DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM AND OTHER AUTO SERVICE CENTERS . THEY TELL ME THEY CAN NOT FIND A PROBLEM . I HAVE LEARNED FROM OTHER TRUCK OWNERS THAT THEY HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM . I CONTACTED CHEVROLET AND THEY SAY THEIR IS NO RECALL . I FEEL WITH THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE I HAVE TALKED TO THAT THEIR IS A PROBLEM WITH THE PUSH BUTTON ELECTRONIC 4 WHEEL DRIVE SYSTEM . MY FRIEND RECENTLY PURCHASED A 1999 AND HIS IS DOING IT TO . ARE YOU AWARE OF A RECALL OR PROBLEM WITH THE SYSTEM . AT TIMES MY TRUCK WILL NOT SHIFT INTO 4 WHEEL DIVE. PLEASE CONTRACT ME . THANK YOU *TR
2000 SILVERADO 4 WHEEL DRIVE TRUCK WITHOUT ANY WARNING HAD NO BRAKES.. WAS TOWED TO DEALERSHIP (GM) AND TOLD THAT ALL 4 BRAKE LINES WERE RUSTED..THEREFORE ALL LINES HAD TO BE REPLACED AS WELL AS ROTORS AND BRAKE PADS...GM WOULD NOT ASSIST IN ANY OF THE 1600 DOLLAR PLUS REPAIR BILL...... *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET K3500. THE TIRE MANUFACTURER IS NANKANG, BRAND NAME IS GEO TRAC, AND TIRE LINE IS LT/225/75/R16 (NA). UPON INSPECTION OF THE TIRES, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT FOUR OUT OF THE SIX HAD CRACKS ON THE EXTERIOR OF THE SIDEWALL. HE IS IN THE PROCESS OF NOTIFYING THE MANUFACTURER. THE CONTACT STILL HAS POSSESSION OF THE TIRES. THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,300. THE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,803.UPDATE 09/10/08 *CW UPDATED 09/19/08. *JB
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 1-5 MPH, THE VEHICLE FAILS TO STOP IMMEDIATELY WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE APPEARS TO HAVE LOST TOTAL BRAKE POWER WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS. THE FAILURE HAS OCCURRED TWICE WITHIN THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE RECALL REPAIR FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 05V379000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC: ANTI-LOCK) HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN PERFORMED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SAFETY RECALL REPAIR WAS BASICALLY A CLEANING. THE FAILURE WAS NOT ACTUALLY REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE STILL PERSISTS. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 160,000. UPDATED 07/09/08 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE PROBLEM WAS THE WHEEL SPEED SENSOR. UPDATED
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET SILVERADO. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5-10 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL BECAME VERY DIFFICULT TO DEPRESS. AFTER APPROXIMATELY ONE MINUTE, THE BRAKE PEDAL RETURNED TO NORMAL AND THE ABS LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT YET BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER, BUT WILL BE TOWED TO THEM BY THE END OF THE WEEK. THE CONTACT FEELS THAT THE VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 108,000.
THREE TIRES HAVE BEEN DEFLATED WHILE TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THIS HAS BEEN CONFIRMED TO HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY THE VALVE STEMS, HAVING CUTS IN THEM AT THE RIM. AFTER REPLACING THE VALVE STEMS, ALTHOUGH DAMAGED, THE TIRES ALL STILL HELD AIR. THESE GOODYEAR TIRES WERE BRAND NEW IN 2007 INSTALLED AT A WAL-MART SERVICE CENTER. I AM THANKFUL I WASN'T KILLED. *TR
AFTER THE TRUCK WAS TURNED OFF AND IN PARK OUR SON (WHO IS UNDER TWO) WAS ABLE TO SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL AND OTHER GEARS. THE TRUCK ROLLED IN THE GARAGE. THIS OCCURRED WHEN THE KEY IS BETWEEN THE OFF POSITION AND ACCESSORY POSITION. *TR
DEPRESSED BRAKE PEDAL AND BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR, HAD VERY HARD TIME STOPPING VEHICLE
EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLT HEADS BROKE OFF ON MY 2000 CHEVY SILVERADO 2500 TRUCK 6.0. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 2500 HD. THE VEHICLE HAS FIRESTONE STEELTEX A/T TIRES. WHILE DRIVING FROM FLORIDA TO OHIO AT 65 MPH, THE ENTIRE TREAD ON ONE OF HIS TIRES SEPARATED, EXPOSING THE STEEL BELTS IN THE TIRE. HE CONSULTED THE TIRE MANUFACTURER AND THEY INFORMED HIM TO SEND THEM THE TIRE FOR INSPECTION. THE CURRENT VEHICLE MILEAGE IS 92,326 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 91,652. THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000. UPDATED 6/16/08 *CN
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS TEMPORARILY REPAIRED ACCORDING TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 00V345000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS). WHEN THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL, IT BECAME STUCK AND PREVENTED HIM FROM STOPPING THE VEHICLE. HE CRASHED INTO A SMALL CURB, WHICH ALLOWED HIM TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. HE HAS NOT TAKEN THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER. THE CONTACT IS IN THE PROCESS OF NOTIFYING THE MANUFACTURER. THE SPEED WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 106,419.
I WAS DRIVING ON A HEAVILY TRAVELED ROAD (IN TRAFFIC) , AS I APPROACHED A LINE OF TRAFFIC A STOPLIGHT WENT TO APPLY THE BRAKES AND NOTHING HAPPENED!! I THEN SHIFTED THE TRUCK INTO FIRST GEAR AND VEERED TOWARD THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. A GAS STATION WASN,T TOO FAR FROM THE INTERSECTION SO I DRIFTED INTO THERE. II LIFTED THE HOOD AND FOUND NO FLUID IN THE RESERVOIR, I THEN LOOKED UNDER THE TRUCK AND DISCOVERED FLUID (BRAKE) ALL OVER THE LOT AND THE BACK DRIVER SIDE AXLE. I CALLED A TOW TRUCK AND HAD THE TRUCK TOWED. THE NEXT DAY I WENT TO SEE HIM AND HE SHOWED HOW BAD THE CORROSION WAS ON THE BRAKE LINES. EVERY BRAKE LINE ON THE TRUCK (FROM ABOUT SIX INCHES FROM THE MASTER CYLINDER) WAS ROTTED ALMOST COMPLETELY THROUGH!!! NEED LESS TO SAY, I HAVE TO REPLACE EVERY BRAKE LINE ON THE TRUCK, WHICH WILL BE A FORTUNE!!! DID I MENTION THE FUEL LINES? THEY TOO ARE ALSO ROTTED!! IT SEEMS THAT EVERYWHERE THAT THE STEEL LINES WERE USED, IT IS ROTTED I'LL PROBABLY HAVE TO REPLACE THE FUEL LINES ALSO IN THE NEAR FUTURE. GM SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES FOR SELLING VEHICLES WITH THESE KIND OF PROBLEMS!!! *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 00V055000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC: ANTILOCK). HE TOOK HIS VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR. AFTER THE REPAIR, ALL OF THE BRAKE PADS WERE REPLACED. HE DISCOVERED THAT THERE WAS OVER A HALF AN INCH REMAINING ON THE FRONT BRAKES AND THE REAR BRAKES WERE NEARLY WORN. THE REAR BRAKES WERE DOING ALL OF THE WORK. THE PURCHASE DATE WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 117,900.
TRUCK WAS RECALLED FOR OPERATION OF ABS BRAKE SENSOR AND THE PROBLEM IS BACK WHILE I STILL OWN THE TRUCK. CONTACTED GM AND THEY REPORTED IT IS UNLIKELY THEY WILL DO ANYTHING BECAUSE IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY. TRUCK MOVES AND ENGAGES ABS AT LOW SPEEDS AT ONCE WHILE STOPPED. THIS IS THE IDENTICAL REASON IT WAS RECALLED AND I REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS DOING. *TR
BRAKES FAILED WITH MY DAUGHTER DRIVING WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND SHE REARENDED A VEHICLE, HER VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND THE FRONT BRAKES REPLACED, THEY HAD COMPLETELY FAILED. *TR
BRAKES FAILED WHILE STOPPING AT AN INTERSECTION. FORTUNATELY, THERE WERE NO VEHICLES IN FRONT ME OR COMING THROUGH THE INTERSECTION. CAUSE OF BRAKE FAILURE WAS A CORRODED BRAKE LINE. WHILE THE GAS LINES ARE STAINLESS STEEL, THE BRAKE LINES ARE NOT. THIS SEEMS TO BE A DESIGN FLAW. *TR
I HAVE A 2000 CHEVY SILVERADO PICKUP WHICH I PURCHASED NEW AT 36,000 MILES I WAS FORCED TO REPLACE ALL FOUR ROTORS AND BRAKE PADS DUE TO EXCESSIVE RUSTING ON THE INSIDE SURFACES OF THE ROTORS ESPECIALLY THE REAR. LATELY I HAVE EXPERIENCED THE REAR BRAKES HANGING UP OR DRAGGING ON THE ROTORS SO I CHECKED THEM. I FOUND THE SAME PROBLEM ONLY WORSE. NOW BOTH DUST SHIELDS ON THE REAR ARE RUSTING AWAY,THE PASSENGER SIDE IS COMPLETELY GONE, AT 76,000 MILES. THIS CONDITION IS BOTH COSTLY AND DANGEROUS TO THE PUBLIC BECAUSE THE RUST BUILD UP IS SO BAD THAT THE BRAKE PAD WILL NOT MAKE THE REQUIRED CONTACT TO STOP THE VEHICLE. IT RIDES ON THE RUST NOT A CLEAN SMOOTH METAL SURFACE. I DRIVE THIS TRUCK DAILY SO YOU WOULD THINK THIS SHOULD NOT BE OCCURRING BUT IT IS. SO WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR,A FEW FATALITIES? ALSO MY ANTI-LOCK BRAKES HAVEN'T WORKED SINCE I TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE DEALER FOR THE RECALL. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT INSPECTED THE BRAKE SYSTEM AND NOTICED THAT THE BRAKE PIPES HAD ABNORMAL CORROSION, AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. HE HAD THE BRAKE PIPES REPLACED AND STILL HAS POSSESSION OF THE FAILED COMPONENT. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 65,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET SILVERADO. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PARK THE VEHICLE AT APPROXIMATELY 3 MPH, THE BRAKES FAILED. THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A POLE. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. THE FRONT BUMPER WAS DAMAGED. TWO DAYS AFTER THE CRASH, THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THE BRAKES. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED BY A DEALER. THE CONTACT HAS CHANGED THE FUEL PUMP EVERY 2,000 TO 3,000 MILES. EACH TIME THE FUEL PUMP FAILED, THE ENGINE SHUT OFF AND PREVENTED HER FROM DRIVING THE VEHICLE. THE RECALL NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 119,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 119,500.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH, THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL, BUT THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. HE WAS ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE AFTER 20 SECONDS OF APPLYING PRESSURE TO THE BRAKES. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PARK THE VEHICLE IN THE DRIVEWAY, IT DRAMATICALLY BEGAN TO ACCELERATE. THE CONTACT APPLIED PRESSURE TO THE BRAKES, BUT THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. SMOKE APPEARED AND THE VEHICLE LUNGED FORWARD, CAUSING HIM TO CRASH INTO THE GARAGE. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP UNTIL THE POWER WAS COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. THE CONTACT HAS PICTURES. THE DEALER HAS NOT BEEN NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 99,000.
ABS SYSTEM OPERATIONAL PROBLEMS. ABS INTERMITTENTLY WORKS AND CAN STOP WORKING WHEN EMERGENCY BRAKING IS NEEDED. THIS IS A LARGE PROBLEM AMONGST THE GM FAMILY OF TRUCKS GM IS AWARE OF MODULE FAILURE AND REFUSES TO GIVE AFFIX. *TR

THE GAUGE SHOWED THAT THERE WAS A HALF TANK OF GAS IN THE VEHICLE; HOWEVER, THE ENGINE SHUT OFF AND WAS OUT OF FUEL FIVE MILES LATER. THE CONTACT FILLED THE VEHICLE TO CAPACITY WITH FUEL AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE TO HIS DESTINATION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED BY A DEALER. THE FAILURE IS RELATED TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 06E043000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 232,000.

THE FAILURE OCCURS WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH AND ALSO WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STOPPED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS COMMON AMONG OTHER VEHICLES OF THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 97,800.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE APPROACHING A STOP BETWEEN 1-15 MPH, THE BRAKES BEGAN TO PULSATE AND THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE STOPPED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR SERVICE AND THEY STATED THAT THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD IT REPAIRED UNDER A RECALL. THE RECALL NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. SIRS, I CONTACTED YOU A FEW YRS. AGO [BELIVE IN EITHER 03 OR 04] IN REGARD TO THE ROTORS ON MY 2000 CHEVY SILVERADO 1500 TRUCK FAILING. AT THAT TIME THE TRUCK HAD APPRXIMATELY 45K MIILES ON IT. WHEN I CONTACTED CHEVY ABOUT THIS PROBLEM, THEY TOLD ME IT IS AN ENVIROMENTAL HAZZARD, DUE TO WHERE I LIVE. I REPLIED THAT I HAD NEW TIRES PUT ON THE TRUCK IN MAY {?} OF THAT YEAR & THE ROTORS WERE FINE BUT WHEN I TOOK TRUCK FOR INSPECTION IN NOV. THEY WERE NOT. I ASKED HOW MUCH SALT THEY THOUGHT PA. USED DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS? I RECIEVED NO REPLY. NOW HERE WE ARE IN JAN., 2008. MY TRUCK NOW HAS 60 K MILES ON IT & THE ROTORS NEED REPLACED AGAIN?? CONSIDERING THIS TRUCK IS DRIVEN AN AVERAGE OF 7K MILES PER YEAR, WITH 90% OF THAT BEING DURING SUMMER MONTHES, THIS IS NOT AN ENVIROMENTAL PROBLEM! THIS TRUCK IS ONLY DRIVEN DURING WINTER MONTHES IF THERE IS AN EMERGANCY SO IT IS EXTREMELY RARE THIS TRUCK IS DRIVEN ON SALTED ROADS. THIS TRUCK IS ALSO GARAGED AT ALL TIMES, I WAX THE FIREWALLS, ARMOR ALL & CLEAN THE TRUCK WEEKLY. ALSO OUR DRIVEWAY IS ALONG A RURAL ROAD & THE DRIVEWAY IS HIGHER THAN THE ROAD SURFACE. I HAVE GONE THROUGH YOUR COMPLAINT LIST & I HAVE FOUND I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WITH THIS PROBLEM, IN RE:ODI ID #10158646. I HONESTLY BELIEVE THE ONLY REASON YOU HAVE NOT RECIEVED MORE COMPLAINTS ON THIS ISSUE IS DUE TO TOO MANY PEOPLE BELIEVE WHAT THE CHEVY REPS. ARE SAYING ABOUT ENVIROMENTAL HAZZARD.I HAVE HAD CHEVY EMPLOYEES TELL ME BRAND NEW CARS, JUST OFF THE DELIVERY TRUCK ARE ALSO HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM & THE DEALERSHIPS ARE REPLACING THE ROTORS BEFORE THE CARS ARE EVEN PUT ON THE LOT!! HE WAS ABLE TO DRIVE HOME AT A LOW SPEED. THE BRAKE LINE THAT CARRIES THE FLUID TO THE BRAKES WAS COVERED WITH RUST. THE DEALER REPLACED THE BRAKE LINE; HOWEVER, THE MANUFACTURER DOES NOT HAVE THE PARTS AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS A MAINTENANCE ISSUE. 25 MPH, HEAD ON COLLISION WITH TREE, AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. DRIVER KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS, FACE HIT STEERING WHEEL, NOSE INJURY AND LIP CUT OPEN. *TR
THIS BRAKE PROBLEM STARTED ABOUT 2007 MY ANTILOCK BRAKES WILL NOT LET MY TRUCK STOP AT LOW SPEEDS. IT HAS CAUSED ME TO HIT GAS PUMP BARICADES DAMAGEING MY TRUCK. IT HAS CAUSED MANY NEAR MISSES AT INTERSECTIONS. I AM AFRAID TO PUT MY FAMILY IN THIS TRUCK.
TRUCK LOST ABILITY TO STOP EFFECTIVELY. TRUCK WAS TAKEN TO LOCAL REPAIR SHOP. MECHANIC FOUND BRAKE LINES HAD RUPTURED FROM CORROSION. BRAKE LINES WERE REPLACED. *TR
MY 2000 CHEVROLET K2500 SILVERADO HAS 60,000 MILES. THE REAR BRAKES DO NOT FUNCTION AS DESIGNED. I COULDN'T FIGURE OUT WHY MY ANTI-LOCK BRAKES ENGAGED ALL THE TIME AND I THINK IT IS BECAUSE AN UNDUE AMOUNT OF BRAKING PRESSURE IS PLACED ON THE FRONT DISC BRAKES AS THE REAR BRAKES ARE CLEARLY NOT ENGAGING PROPERLY. I HAD MIDAS REVIEW THE BRAKES AND THEY CLAIM THIS IS COMMON. THE ROTORS HAVE TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE ALL THEY DO IS RUST SINCE THE BRAKE PAD HARDLY TOUCHES THE ROTOR. I CALLED MY DEALERSHIP WHO ALSO SAID THIS IS COMMON. HAVE THERE BEEN ANY INVESTIGATIONS INTO CHEVY TRUCK ACCIDENTS AND HOW THE BRAKES FUNCTION? WE HAVE PURCHASED A CHEVY 3500HD DUMP TRUCK. WE HAVE KNOWN THIS TRUCK FOR A FEW YEARS AND THE BRAKE LIGHTS HAVE BEEN STUCK ON AND NO SIGNALS FOR TWO YEARS. WE WERE TOLD ABOUT THE RECALL FOR THE MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH FOR OTHER 2000 TRUCK MODELS, I.E. THE 2000 BLAZER, BECAUSE OF THIS SITUATION. WE FEEL THAT OUR TRUCK SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL BECAUSE IT HAS THE SAME PROBLEMS AS THE OTHER TRUCKS MADE BY CHEVY IN THE SAME YEAR AND SUSPECT IT IS THE SAME PART. I OWN A 2000 CHEVEROLET SILVERADO 1500 4WD PICKUP. IT IS AN EXTENDED CAB SHORTBED, WITH THE 5.3L ENGINE AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THE ABS BRAKES ENGAGE WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES AT SLOW SPEEDS. THE TRUCK THEN CONTINUES TO MOVE AND IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO STOP. WHEN THE ABS ENGAGES IT IS ALWAYS AT LOW SPEEDS (LESS THAN 10MPH) AND DOES SO REGARDLESS OF DRIVING CONDITIONS AND ROAD SURFACE CONDITIONS. THE STOPPING DISTANCE IS DANGEROUSLY INCREASED. I HAVE NOT HAD AN ACCIDENT YET, BUT COME VERY CLOSE. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS PROBLEM AND LEARNED THAT IT IS VERY COMMON. GM ISSUED A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN IN THE US,TSB#03-05-25-007A) AND A RECALL IN CANADA FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM IS DUE TO DEBRI AND OR RUST ON THE FRONT WHEEL SPEED SENSORS. I PLAN TO UNPLUG MY ABS FUSE UNTIL I AM ABLE TO PERFORM THE PROCEDURE LISTED IN THE TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN. I FIND IT VERY NEGLIGENT OF GM TO NOT NOTIFY OWNERS OF MODELS AFFECTED BY THIS PROBLEM AND NOT ENCOURAGE THEIR DEALER NETWORK TO NOTIFY OWNERS OF VEHICLES AFFECTED BY THIS PROBLEM.
